Shout out to all these authors & fanfics

Murder Drones ver.

I swear I feel like fanfics are part of my daily life now. I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. Hey, least I get my daily reading in I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but you’re not here to ponder read about that. You’re here to see some shout outs.

P.S I’m not very descriptive so apologies for that. I just wanted to shout out some of these fanfics and authors because I visit their fanfics about almost every single day so I just thought “oh why the hell not. I’m just going to blog about it.”

Lady Daybreaker

Oh my god I love their work series Ad Astra Per Aspera it’s just so good. And I’m going to be honest, this series is the reason why I love Nori now so much now it’s not funny. The series just adds more to the story for Murder Drones and again, I love it so much that I join their server. Never interact on their though because I am a bit of a coward I guess. If you want to see more to the story I’d suggest checking their MD fanfics.

At first, I wasn’t very interested in most of their fanfics (mostly because crossover stuff) till I just told myself to give them a shot because why not. Their description for their stories were so interesting and intriguing that I just had to. And now, they’re the reason why I am interested in Monster Hunters now and I may try to get one of the games or such. So far I’ve read Beauty And The Monster, In The Ring series, Muted Manor, Little Purple Riding Hood And The Big Bad Stygian Zinogre, Sugar Spun Straight From Hell, To Guard A Goddess, Kaiju Girl Uzi, & Distorted Deals.

I do want to try to read more of their past works which I am going to try to do soon. These works were all just so good, if you’re interested in crossovers like Pokémon or Monster Hunter, or just interesting concepts outside of the Murder Drones universe. Then check their stories out!

InspiredDragonWriter

The first work I’ve ever read from them was I believe Sure!You Can Date Our Mama! Which augh/pos it’s really good so far and I adore the lil cuties in the fanfic already. I’m more of an Nuzi fan myself but I also adore InspiredDragonWriters ver. of Sam that I ship SmokeyBats (Sam/Uzi) now. I know what it’s like to love a random character so much in the background of the show/game/etc that I start to make up what their personality and interests are. I won’t say who that random character is but I will say their not from Murder Drones ha.

I’ve also read One Night, A Promise And A Whoopsie-Daisy which there is only one chapter as of now but I love it so much that I had to mention it. I’d suggest checking these works out when you can and want too ofc.

GameCube19

GameCube, oh my god. What have you gotten yourself into/pos. So far the only works they’ve posted are Broken Balance and Broken Balance Specials which go together. And my god, I did expect this work to go up to 111 chapters. 111. I started reading when it was only 11 chapters in. I am predicting at this point that this work will reach up to 1M words tbh, right now it’s word count is at 724,206. Anyways that’s not the point. What I want to say about this work is that I love it. I love the story, how long it is, the concepts, just wow. I mean, this can basically be its own story at this point. Loved it so much that I joined their server. If you’re interested in a Fantasy AU of Murder Drones I’d suggest reading it.

First thing I’ve read from them is The Royals Blood which is so good I love it. It’s a vampire/royalty AU which is mmm, so good. Then To Be Heard came out which I am obsessing over because I have this knack for mute AU’s which I don’t know why but I just do. I also love the fact that Uzi and N in this work love and make music. Music is just part of my daily life I cannot go through a day without listening to a song or 10. I’ve also read “I Am Always There For You.” Which is also good. If you’re interested in these, please go check them out!

I’ve only read one work from them and I LOVE it and it’s concept. It’s so unique and sooo good. It’s called The Angel My Mother Sent Me. And I’ve been listening to the playlist they’ve made based off the story and now I have a few new favourite songs and a new playlist saved in my Spotify. Their art of the fic too is just muah so good. If you’re interested in guardian angels or just that type of concept I guarantee you will love this fic.

Now remember when I said that I- *Searches through my tabs* okay why is it not here?! GOD DAMNI- *Spends 5 minutes looking for it again and saving it to my tab group* Ahem, now, remember when I said I had a knack for mute AU’s (Muted Minor and To Be Heard) well here’s another one. Blinding Steps Of Places Long Forgotten (FireBitten) I absolutely obsessed over this fic when I first found out about it. It’s interesting title, another mute AU, and Uzi having cute fluffy bat ears. Yep, she has bat ears and I love it. Read it if you please.

There is one work of Murder Drones they made and it is called By Chance and I only started reading it like 2 weeks ago. Oh my god. I love it so much, it’s great, it’s adorable, and I just want them (N and Uzi) to be happy pls. I’m a bit mad at myself for not taking the chance sooner to read it. It’s so good, go check it out if you love Streamer AU’s.

They’ve only posted one work of Murder Drones called Bus Stop but it’s so good. It’s been so adorable so far and it’s a songfic which I believe means it’s inspired by a song. I’m going to try to listen to it eventually. Go check it out if you can.

I love this persons Ghost Drone AU please go check that AU out but they also have some other great AU’s in other fandoms which I have seen briefly. Love their art too. They also have this fic related to the Ghost Drone AU which is called Ghost Drone so if you’ve seen their artwork on their ghost AU and love it please go check out the fanfic they’ve made! Okay so if you know and follow kklog then you may remember this post based off thecosmiccrows headcanon. And if you loved that post and loved the concept of DD’s acting like birds then you may love Courtship Rituals of a Disassembly Drone written by the author mentioned above. It’s so adorable and as soon as I saw a fic inspired by that post I had a huge rush of serotonin and immediately read the fic. Go read it if you loved the post kklog made.

That’s basically it as for now. I swear there are more fics I want to mention so I may just edit more in later. It’s like midnight for me right now when I finish this so tbh. I may just wake, realise I posted this, and ponder wether or not to delete it haha. I may not though because I don’t want all this work to go to waste plus I do want to mention these works and share them because I just absolutely love them, I know I said that multiple times but I really do.

I look back to see if they update and it makes my day just to reread them or just read the new chapters when they come out. I really do feel like fan fiction has taken over my life lol. But eh, I don’t think that’s to much of a bad thing :)

If I made some mistakes just let me know and I’ll edit it.

A Fist-Bump Is A Sign Of Unbreakable Friendship

LoZ OoT/ Pokémon Crossover

A good week has passed at this point and Trainer and there Pokémon had been quite busy. Killing some monsters that were attacking Merchants and Traders at Kolar Pass, repairing old shelters Dau's Respite, and helping by planting and caring for Hydromelon plants at an old field that Gerudo used too harvest Hydromelons at. Of course Trainer left little notes at the Gerudo Citadel were the Gerudo would find them and go check out the places, thanks too Gengar of course for quietly placing the notes. Though Trainer still had so much more too do, places too go and see if they could help in whatever way they could.

Which Is what Trainer was currently doing at there small secluded camp, deciding on were too go next. The decision was taking a bit of time as Trainer was trying too think of what place would be good too go to next as they also wanted too try and stay hidden. A task they unknowingly failed as someone was currently watching them from a hidden spot near the camp.

????: How do I approach them? C'mon C'mon think! You are a proud Gerudo warrior, a Gerudo warrior is never indecisive! Alright calm yourself and just introduce yourself and try not too startle them!

The mysterious individual having just finished talking too themselves on there plan of action, walked out of there hiding spot and began there approach towards Trainer. Trainer who was still looking over the map did not notice the mysterious individual approach but the Pokémon that were hanging out around the camp did notice and were watching this new individual closely as they all hid as Trainer had told them too when ever someone was approaching Trainer that they did not know. All the Pokémon hid, peeking out behind the rocks and pokeing there heads beneath the sands, and Mewtwo was standing a top of a rock cliff that covered the camp watching the Gerudo walk forward. All the hidden Pokémon ready too pounce in at the first sign of trouble, Mewtwo had also used there telepathy too warn Trainer of the approaching Gerudo. Trainer got Mewtwo's warning and decided too keep on looking at the map and wait and see what the Gerudo did, and when the Gerudo got in close enough she spoke.

????: Hello there Traveler it is an pleasure too meet you.

The friendly introduction was a nice sign so Trainer turned too meet the Gerudo that was talking too them. The girl looked to be a bit older than Trainer, she had the same fiery red hair that was cut short and stylized a bit, almost the exact same clothing except instead of the puffy pants she wore what resembled a kilt or something close too that, and had too Scimitars sheathed behind her. Trainer with a smile greeted the Gerudo and introduced themselves.

Trainer: Ah Hello there! I really didn't think I see anyone this far out in the dunes. Well it's super cool of you too come over and greet me!

Riju: Oh a yes… ( keep your cool Riju and just talk too them) I saw your little camp when I was passing by and got curious myself as too why someone was out this far out in the dunes. I hope I am not being a burden but do you mind if I stay for minute too regain my strength the sun is reaching it's apex and traveling during when the sun is at it's highest is not a great idea.

Trainer: I'm always willing too help someone out! You can relax for as long as you want! Oh, I got some extra curry from this mornings breakfast along with some water you want some?

????: That is very kind of you and yes I would like some of the food you made.

Trainer swiftly served the young Gerudo Sweet Melody Curry, a curry that contained a mix of different sweet berries. The young Gerudo ate the curry, which as soon as she tasted the strange dish, she immediately flew in love and swiftly finished the plate. After the young Gerudo finished off the curry, she put the plate too the side and took a deep breathe. The young Gerudo than said they wanted too talk too Trainer about something, this caught Trainer's attention, wondering what the young Gerudo had too say and sat down too listen too her. The young Gerudo steeled herself for the next steps and took a leap of faith.

????: Thank you for all this however I have something important too say… I…I saw you and your Divine Beasts restoring a Hydromelon field the other day and I am also confident that your the one who have been helping the Gerudo the past 2 weeks. Though please do not be afraid I did not come too start any sort of trouble or anything like that… I… I came too ask for your help so please will you hear me out!

This was definitely a surprise for Trainer and made Trainer realize that they had too be more careful in the future, but if she went through all this trouble too follow them then she really needed the aid.

And Trainer was not one too leave someone hanging

Trainer: Well looks like you found me out, yes I have been the one helping out in what ever way I can. Heh looks like I slipped up a bit, anyway if you need help than I be more than happy too lend any sort of help I can. So what do you need help with?

The young Gerudo let out a breath of relief, that her leap of faith worked and immediately got too explaining what she needed Trainer's help for.

????: Thank you… I need your help dealing with the Monsters that infest an area known as Issadora Canyon Pass. The area has been crawling with Monsters for over 30 years… please I really need your help banishing the Monsters that roam there! Please…

Trainer: Issadora Canyon Pass huh… Alright than if you need my help for this, than you got my full support. Though I gotta ask why this Issadora Canyon? Is the area special or something like that?

????:….Issadora Canyon is very special place…since you agreed too help me than you deserve the full story. The area posses no real immediate benefit for the Gerudo, the Canyon Pass was really only known for the different types of Mushrooms that would grow there, along with the flowers that grew along the Canyon. These flowers are the reason I want the Canyon cleared of those wretched Monsters. The flowers…they were some of Mama's absolute favorites…when she was little she loved too go see the flowers that blossomed there, all the time as there used too be a small Camp Outpost at the Canyon that Mama was raised in. Though she was forced too leave when horrid Monsters called Gibdos started too arise an attack. The Gerudo there could not defend the camp as the Hyrule Civil War was going on at the time so must Soldiers were out doing battle. Eventually when Mama was older she joined as a Soldier in the war and took a horrible blow too her leg. She had some trouble walking afterwards and after the war she took up the mantle as a Blacksmith. Though as the years went on her smile grew more strained and worry lined her face from all the troubles the Gerudo were facing after the war with land and supplies. Though the worry was for me, she wanted me too have a good life and even though she kept a brave face on for me telling me that everything would be ok, though the stress and worry was plain as day too see. So I…I want too reclaim Issadora Canyon and show Mama the flowers there! I want too show Mama that there is hope and happiness out there still! That things will get better for the Gerudo and that I will be ok and not too worry so much about me! I…I want Mama too truly smile again!

That story was everything Trainer needed too hear and with a huge smile on there face they told the young Gerudo that they would take back the Canyon so the young Gerudo could show her mother the flowers that bloomed there. The young Gerudo was surprised by such a strong declaration from Trainer but a smile adorned her face in pure gratefulness at them saying that they would reclaim the Canyon, and thanked Trainer and there Divine Beasts.

Trainer: You can count on us too take back the Canyon, also my friends aren't actually Divine Beasts, they are actually called Pokémon. Speaking of which, EVERYONE IT'S OK TOO COME OUT! COME ON AND INTRODUCE YOURSELF!

A few seconds after the shout all the Pokémon were in hiding came out. From behind the rocks and beneath the sands all the Pokémon that were out introduced themselves too the stunned and then excited young Gerudo Warrior, who immediately went too give head pats too Trainer's Walrein who made a small little pond for the camp. Trainer was then hit by a realization that both never gave the other there name.

Trainer: It just hit me, that we never really introduced ourselves. I will go first, my name is Trainer!

The young Gerudo turned back too face Trainer while she continued too give Walrein head pats that the Pokémon was enjoying and gave her name

My name is Riju

It was now nightfall and the duo discussed a variety of topics while waiting for the moon too climb into the sky so they all could remain hidden, this also worked out for them as apparently Gibdo's were more active at night. Since the night now covered the Desert, both Riju and Trainer were now flying towards Issadora Canyon Pass on Flygon back. Riju was too put it mildly super excited too be flying on Flygon's back, and after the excitement calmed down she gave Trainer the directions too get too the Canyon and soon both Trainer and Riju hid themselves behind a boulder near the Canyon Pass entrance too scout out what they were dealing with.

Just as Riju said there were horrifying zombie/mummy like monsters that had on broken helmets and dragged around Great Swords as they stalked around the area presumably looking for tonight's prey. Trainer had prepared a couple Pokémon too help and had Mewtwo in there PokeBall on standby just in case. Riju explained a Gibdo's weaknesses, they were weak against strong flashes of light, and were weak against Fire as it burned there bandages. Though caution was needed as Gibdos were incredibly strong, and did not show any sort of fear. They were also capable of letting out a bone-chilling scream too lock there prey in place when they were close enough. Gibdos were quite the horrifying foe, but Trainer was undaunted as were the Pokémon and Riju. Riju unsheathed her Scimitars making it clear from the very beginning that she was going too fight.

Trainer: Alright hears the plan we need too find the leader of the Gibdos and too do that we need too clear out all the Gibdos that are infesting the area. Krookodile, Infernape, and Heracross will grab Gibdos using Dig too bring them over too an out of sight spot were they can be finished off, as too not alert the other Gibdos. When ever there a group of Gibdos, I will have Ampharos use Flash and blind all the Gibdos and grab a few of them. Riju and I will stick too the Shadows and move forward withy you all and if there are any stray Gibdos you can take down Riju then take the monsters down!

Riju: That sounds perfect, if we thin out the numbers of Gibdos in the Canyon Pass we can more easily find the Leader and have less Gibdos too deal with when we confront the leader of the Gibdos. Alright then we should try and get closer too start our attack.

After everyone was in agreement on the plan we all went forward too liberate the Canyon. One by one the Gibdos were picked off by the team allowing everyone too further explore the Canyon Pass. As everyone went further into the Canyon the amount of Gibdos seemingly increased, though thankfully the Gibdos were oblivious too there rapidly disappearing comrades, everything was going according to plan.

" ARRR ARRR ARRRT"

A loud cry through the night startled Trainer and Riju along with all the other Pokémon. Everyone quickly regrouped, all concern as too what was the source of that cry especially when all the Gibdos began too advance towards the direction of the noise which was coming from the other side of the Canyon Pass.

Riju: That can not be good! I think we should follow after them and see what was making that noise, it could be someone in trouble.

Trainer: You got that right! Come on! Let's see what's going on!

Everyone kept themselves hidden and eventually discovered what was crying out in distress. A strange seal that had gotten pinned down by some rubble. The seal was crying out in panic and it did not help that the Gibdos were closing in on the seal tooo try and make them the Gibdos next meal. The seal looked like it was trying too dig into the ground but the stone beneath it was preventing there escape into the ground. The scene unfolding in front of everyone immediately made Trainer, Riju, and The Pokémon leave there hiding spots and go and defend the seal. Everyone charged into battle grabbing all the Gibdos attention, Krookodile took point and his ability took affect and soon with a great roar all the Gibdos felt a fear that was incredibly new too all of them and there attack fell. Infernape used Flame Wheel too knock away the Gibdos that were next too the seal. Heracross, Ampharos and Riju were in perfect sync with each other as they each defended the other from attacks and dealt out major damage too the Gibdos. Trainer meanwhile went over too the Seal and gave them some aid. Thankfully whatever language the seal spoke was very similar too PokeTalk and that helped in calming down the Seal and stop them from thrashing. Trainer gave them an Oran Berry so they could restore some there strength and that seemed too help them perk up a bit.

The others had just finished off the last of the Gibdos and came over too help Trainer get the rubble off the seal so they could move. After applying some potions too the seal and Riju managing too calm down the Seal so they knew they were perfectly safe now, the Seal began too speak up too Trainer and Riju, and Riju asked Trainer too translate if they could.

Trainer: Ok… The seal is saying " Thank you all for your help my fate was about too be SEALed by those monsters" Well glad we could help, though I never seen a creature like you before and neither has Riju so what are you?…." I am a Sand Seal my fellow Sand Seals and I traverse the Desert by swimming through the sands!"

Riju: That is absolutely amazing! I never heard of a species like that before! Oh I am getting of track though, if I may ask how did you get stuck?

Trainer:…. " I was running away from a towering skeletal monster along with 3 other Sand Seals, we tried too loose the horrifying creature however it kept summoning more of those bandaged soldiers too slow us down until it caught up too us and swatted me too the side while trying to catch us. I hit the side of the rock wall and some stones collapsed on me and ended up hiding me while the others were taken away and put into cages by the monsters. I tried for hours too get out but it was useless and then more of those horrible bandaged monsters showed up and I got scarred and tried too warn them off, but that as you SEAL didn't work.

Riju: How horrible! A towering skeletal monster of the sands sounds incredibly fearsome… actually maybe that Monster is the one who commands the Gibdos. It would make sense! Powerful undead monsters tend too command legions of lesser undead. That would explain the sheer numbers of the Gibdos! They are all foot soldiers towards the Skeletal Monster. Trainer that's it, that Skeletal Sand Monster is the one summoning all those Gibdos too the Canyon! If we can beat that boss monster than the Gibdos should stop too! Not only that the Sand Seal obviously needs help saving there friends, so we must make for the monster's hideout immediately!

Trainer: Your right Riju! Not only do we need to take down that Boss Monster we need too save the Sand Seals friends! Actually saying The Sand Seal does not exactly roll of the tongue * Turns too the Sand Seal* Do you have a name?…. You don't well how about one of us gives you a name?

The Sand Seal said yes, and Riju immediately jumped at the chance as she had taken a liking too the Sand Seal something that the Sand Seal returned as they took a liking too the Gerudo girl. After Riju asked whether the Sand Seal was a Voe or Vah ( Man or Woman in Gerudo) the Sand Seal answered that they were a Vah and so Riju gave her the name of Patricia and a happy bark from the now named Patricia SEALed the name.

The next 10 minutes were filled with planning as they wanted too face the Boss Monster with as much information as possible. Thanks too Patricia giving them valuable information it was decided that only Pokémon that could fly or swim through Sand would go and face the Boss Monster. The place they were heading was an old Colosseum since that's were the Boss Monster first attacked her and her friends. Since the Colosseum was surrounded by Sand the next thing was too figure out how they would approach and that's when Riju had an idea.

Trainer: Ok… I think I am steady now. This is definitely new way of travel for me.

Riju had suggested that they tie a rope around Patricia and Krookodile's tails and use them too surf across the dunes. The issue of having no surf boards was quickly fixed when Krookodile used his claws too quickly carve up stone surf boards. Soon both Riju and Trainer were speeding across the dunes towards the Colosseum, too free the Canyon and Patricia's friends.

It did not take long too cross the Desert and after dodging a few Gibdos they all made it too the Colosseum in no time!

Trainer: Dark, creepy unknown sounds, bandaged terrors', yup this is definitely a Boss Hideout. Anyway we should keep close by too each other so we do not get lost.

Riju: Got it! Alright Patricia let's go save your friends!

With a invigorated bark from Patricia the Quartet traveled through the abandoned Colosseum. Monsters were aplenty but thanks too Riju, Krookodile and Gliscor and Chandelure the monsters stood no chance. Chandelure and Gliscor took point on leading everyone through the dark corridors so thankfully that was not a problem. What was a problem was the puzzles, this ancient Colosseum had puzzles too solve too the absolute befuddlement of everyone. Thankfully there was a lot of things working towards the groups favor, Riju could read old notes left in the Colosseum hallways and rooms that were written in Gerudo. Also since there was group instead of single person, that meant more ears and eyes looking for solutions and helping hold down levers and keep doors open so the puzzle could be more easily solved. Thankfully when the puzzle was solved the doors stayed open or caused a rooms door too unlock. Though while searching for Patricia's friends and the Boss Monster, Gliscor's echo location picked up a strange object in the upper levels of the Colosseum as everyone was traveling through the hallways. Gliscor quickly retrieved the object and brought it back too Trainer and Riju. It turned out too be a small ornate chest with some faded yet still eligible writing.

" Who ever finds this treasure may it grant as much use as I got out of it back in my adventuring days. This treasure is called the Roc's Feather, this item allows who ever wears it too become incredibly light and jump higher than one would normally be able too achieve. May the spirits of Ages and Seasons watch over you!"

Everyone was now curious as they all crowded over the chest too see the special feather. Trainer opened the chest as everyone saw what this special feather, a beautiful blue and white feather.

Trainer: * Grabbed Feather* Ok this is the Roc's Feather and just holding it should let me jump higher. Well let's see if this works!

To make it short it worked, easily heading up a good distance upwards and thankfully landing on there feet.

Riju: Absolutely incredible! A treasure like this is such a rare find and possessing an ability like that will definitely make adventuring a lot easier.

Trainer: Ya, for a moment there I got to experience what it feels like to do a Koraidon styled jump! Though… I think it would be better with you Riju.

Riju: * Shocked* Me!? Why do you think that?

Riju was genuinely curious as too why Trainer thought a treasure like that is better off with her.

Trainer: Well your a lot more athletic than me and you have fantastic sword abilities too! That paired with the Roc Feather would be a great combination, so I think you should have it!

Riju was taken aback a bit by the sudden praise for her skills and took the feather in her hands, eyeing the treasure as she turned it through her fingers. The treasure was very nice but…

Trainer: Huh? What are…

Riju carefully placed the Roc Feather in Trainer Cap's and smiled as she spoke

Riju: Thank you but personally I think the Roc Feather better suits you. Consider the Roc Feather a sign of my thanks for helping me.

"Ar Ar Art"

Riju: Hehe I think Patricia agrees with me about the Roc Feather!

Trainer: Oh ah thanks! I will make sure too take care of the Roc Feather!

For a moment everyone forgot that they were in an undead infested Colosseum something everyone got reminded of when a bone-chilling roar echoed throughout the entire Colosseum.

Riju: It seems the Boss Monster noticed our presence, it seems our moment of battle draws ever near.

Trainer: Yup! Alright everyone! I am pretty sure were nearing the center of the Colosseum, so everyone let's do it this!

Everyone gave a small cheer and got ready too confront the Boss Monster. After a bit further down they came across a Heavy Gate with a lock in the center. Thankfully Riju found a Big Golden Key earlier and this explained what that key was for. As Chandelure used Psychic too levitate and insert the key, everyone was doing one final check over of themselves. Riju was checking her Scimitars, Krookodile was fixing there Sunglasses, and Trainer was prepping there berries and potions in case they were needed. The click of the lock, followed by creaking of chains opening the gate signaled too everyone that it was time too face the Boss Monster and too add too that tension the gate slammed shut.

The arena was just filled with sand, rocks, no weapons, no bones, and no Boss Monster. Everyone was confused by this thinking they were going too immediately see a giant monster or something. Though this did nothing too lower anyone's guard as they slowly made there way into the Arena, eyes scooting everywhere. That was until everyone's attention was brought too an ornate part of the stands for VIP's as loud barking caught there attention. It was the other 3 Sand Seals, all alive trapped in a cage.

Patricia was ecstatic too her friends, along with everyone else however something else immediately caught Patricia and the Pokemons attention. A soft rumbling that kept on getting more violent, Patricia and the Pokémon all let out cries of warning for Riju and Trainer as they pulled away the 2 youths on the make shift surf boards.

Everyone quickly made it too the outskirts of the Arena as the Boss Monster finally made their appearance.

A towering Skeletal Monster, a head resembling Tyrannosaurus Rex and three horns, 2 arms that had giant clawed hands, a rib cage lining the spine as the spine disappeared into the ground. However there was something odd about the rib cage, it had holes lining them and the holes in the ribs were not just for aesthetic as the Boss Monster let out a rush of air from the holes as a sudden sandstorm was wiped up, obscuring everyone's view and making it harder too hear.

Trainer: GAHHH! WHAT IS THIS THING?!?!

Riju: I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! THIS MONSTER IS THE SAME AS THOSE OLD TALES! IT CAN BE NONE OTHER THAN

The Dread Sirocco Of The Arena Hurricane Stallord

Everyone quickly hid behind the stone pillars that Krookodile brought forth with Stone Edge too quickly come up with a plan.

Riju: That Monster! I can not believe that Stallord is actually real! That Monster is part of an old Gerudo tale! " A Monster that whipped up scorching storms and ate those lost in it's trap! However the Monster was beaten and banished from the sands by the actions of a brave Gerudo Warrior!

Trainer: Well that's horrifying! Does the story say anything about how the Gerudo Warrior beat Stallord!

Riju: Unfortunately No. The tale just says after the Gerudo Warrior landed a decisive strike the monster fled!

Trainer: Well we will all just have too think of something else! We come this far too give up now!

Coming up with a plan while the threat of sandstorm was bearing down upon you was easier said than done, but everyone came together and a plan was made. And just in time too because Chandelure and Krookodile had been keeping the Stone Edge wall together and the wall was close too breaking. With everyone knowing the plan, Trainer and Riju began too surf on the sands thanks too Patricia and Krookodile, who with great skill and eyesight traversed the Arena while Hurricane Stallord caused geysers of sand too erupt too try and catch all of them.

The plan had begone Krookodile had begun too send out blasts of Dark Pulses towards Stallord and Riju focused on calling out moves too Politoed who was clinging onto Patricia while sending out ranged attacks. The ranged attacks from Krookodile and Politoed provided the perfect cover fire for Chandelure and Gliscor who were sneaking behind Stallord.

Gliscor was leading Chandelure as close as the 2 could get too Stallord using Gliscor's echo location. Closer and Closer the 2 Pokémon got until they had reached Stallord back without the Monster noticing because of it being distracted by Trainer, Riju and the others. Gliscor called out too Chandelure too do it now and stop Stallord's sandstorm. Chandelure channeled all there strength into this next attack too put an end too this horrid sandstorm. Chandelure released a full power Overheat and completely bathed Stallords ribs in an all consuming fire, causing Stallord too roar out in surprise and anger at this attack and went too swat away the 2 Pokémon who quickly gained distance from Stallord. Chandelure and Gliscor returned too Trainer's side and Trainer ended up recalling Chandelure too let them rest after they unleashed all there power into the Overheat. Trainer and Riju could finally see again as the sandstorm started too dissipate and Stallord went too reinvigorate the sandstorm only for nothing too happen.

The plan had worked! When Chandelure activated Overheat and attacked Stallord, the sands that coated Stallord ribs had been crystalized by the heat and caused the holes that blasted out the powerful sands too become covered in glass.

Riju: Stallord can't make sandstorms anymore! Now is the time too strike!

Trainer; Riju's right! Everyone hit Stallord with everything you got!

Everyone cheered as they let loose there strongest attacks, Krookodile let off a Stone Edge, Politoed shot off a Hydro Pump, and Gliscor slammed down his pincers and used Earth Power. All the attacks hit head on and caused Stallord too roar out in anger and caused one of there spine bones too break and lower Stallord further too the ground.

Stallord however was far from finished and a thundering roar summoned forth a ton of Gibdos too attack Trainer, Riju, and everyone. With the metric tons of Gibdos staring them down, Trainer called out Steelix too take down the Gibdo army quickly so Trainer and Riju could close in on Stallord.

Riju: The attacks from the Pokémon broke one of the spine bones, if we keep breaking them it should kill Stallord.

The second assault by everyone quickly got under way, Steelix quickly sent out a powerful Flash Cannon too clear out the advancing Gibdos. Riju called out too Trainer too clear a path so she could strike at Stallord's spine. Krookodile used Stone Edge too cover Riju as she rushed forward with Patricia, as she managed a clean strike against the spine causing another bone too shatter and Stallord too come down closer too the ground.

Trainer: GREAT JOB RIJU! That was awesome, now a couple more hits shou-HMMPH!

Trainer ended slamming against the sand as they got knocked off there surf board by some rising Gibdos. Everybody saw Trainer immediately get swarmed by Gibdos as everyone rushed towards Trainer too defend them. However the Gibdos kept on rising too block everyone from getting too Trainer, this was definitely a bit of a bind for Trainer. Though a cry from Gliscor toward Trainer's focus towards Gliscor who easily flew over the Gibdos too get too Trainer, that's when an idea hit Trainer.

Trainer: GLISCOR GET READY TOO CATCH ME!

One of the Gibdos went too swing there sword at Trainer, only too hit air as Trainer jumped over the blade and spring boarded off the Gibdos head into the air all thanks too the Roc Feather. Gliscor easily caught Trainer and flew them too a safe area too be reunited with everyone who formed a defensive line too cover Trainer and Gliscor as they both landed.

Riju: Are you hurt?! I was worried when I saw get surrounded by the Gibdos!

Trainer: I am alright! Thank you all for looking out for me!

Krookodile came up too Trainer worry lining his voice as he asked if Trainer was really ok, as he apologized for not sensing those Gibdos. Trainer just smiled and soothed the entire gangs worry and with Trainer now safe, everyone turned there attention back too Stallord who let was having trouble holding there weight now because of the lost spine bones and it was because of this that they all noticed an important detail. A huge crack atop Stallord's skull.

Riju: There on there skull! That has too be were the Gerudo Warrior struck Hurricane Stallord! If we can land a hit upon the cracked spot we may just fell Hurricane Stallord once and for all.

Trainer: If that's the case, then lets end it! Gliscor use X-Scissor and end this fight!

Gliscor immediately launched himself into the sky and quickly descended too attack Stallord, however Stallord used it's tough bone claws too block Gliscor's strike and send Gliscor back with a powerful swat that Gliscor barely dodged. Gliscor quickly flew back too the defensive position that everyone set up and everyone quickly came up with another plan too end this.

After a quick discussion between everyone, a new plan was formed and everyone took there positions. Trainer had Gliscor and Politoed stay with them as Steelix and Krookodile went too the opposite sides of Stallord and unleashed dual Earthquakes. This worked just as planned as the rest of Stallord spine bones broke under the force and power of the dual Earthquakes, along with getting rid of all the Gibdos leaving just Stallord defenseless skull too roar in anger giving Riju and Patricia the opening they needed. Both Riju and Patricia rushed in too land the final blow and end this, only Stallord tried too pull out one last trick by gathering dark magic in there mouth too launch at the advance duo. However Patricia was too fast for Stallord and got Riju in close enough before Stallord could try and blast them and using the item given too them by Trainer, the Roc Feather she leapt into the air a plunged both Scimitars into Hurricane Stalllord's head, and with one last roar Hurricane Stallord dissipated into black and purple smoke ending the battle.

After the battle Gliscor broke the cage all of Patricia's friends and finally all the Sand Seals were reunited and Issadora Canyon Pass was finally freed from the threat of the Gibdos.

Back at the Canyon Pass Trainer stood Riju as she said her good byes too Patricia who was getting ready too go back with the other Sand Seals. Trainer translated what Patricia was saying so Riju could understand as it seemed not only was Riju sad too see Patricia go but so was Patricia who had grown too really like Riju on this adventure. Riju gave Patricia one final hug and a parting gift of a red ribbon made into a bow for Patricia's mohawk. As the Sand Seals went back home, Trainer gave Riju a lift back home on Flygon or well close too home so Trainer and Flygon would not be seen. When they got too a good spot too say goodbye the duo gave there farewells.

Riju: I can not thank you enough for everything you did for me today. I am going too take Mama too see the flowers as soon as possible. So again thank you my friend.

Trainer: Your welcome! I hope you enjoy the flowers with your Mama, Riju! * Holds out hand for a fist bump*

Riju was confused by this gesture until Trainer explained that a fist-bump is a sign of unbreakable trust between 2 people and Riju smiled at this and gave a fist-bump back too Trainer.

As everyone went back home to rest, having faced down monsters and forged bonds, unknown too the young Gerudo a certain Sand Seal was going too see her again wanting too see her friend again.

Dear ARCEUS, this was supposed too be finished a week ago, but I am finally glad it's done.

Now for the 2 Mega Man Scenarios too finish before moving back too KN8 Scenarios

This was both cool and cute. Looks like Trainer made a new friend than just some incredible discoveries from their latest adventure. The Sand Seals and recovery of the Issadora Canyon Pass would be a great help to the Gerudo Clan.

Do you respond to comments? I was great at keeping up with them for years, but I had some mental health issues early this year that slowed everything down. I have SO MANY comments to respond to and it’s really overwhelming. I love everyone who sends comments to me though. It always means a lot and makes me smile.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I mostly write romcom so this one is hard. It is probably my Digimon fic called “It’s getting late and I cannot seem to find my way home tonight”. Even though it has a happy ending, there’s a really sad/angsty scene about Digimon partner loss in it.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? It’s Turnabout Dishwasher. It’s always going to be Turnabout Dishwasher. If you love an Ace Attorney character I can almost guarantee they have a happy ending in that story.

Do you get hate on fics? Not often. I had a troll once or twice (someone was homophobic about Daiken on my fic once and I was like ??????). The biggest example was when someone read Turnabout Dishwasher and told me my portrayal of Franziska von Karma was “wrong”. It really got to me because I actually thought I wrote an older Franziska really well. Fuck that person (can you tell I’m still salty about this lmao)

Do you write smut? Oh yeah. I believe the first smut I ever wrote was Daikeru, and I was really proud of it. Since then I’ve written a LOT more Daikeru smut, Jyoumi, Jyouchi, Daikenkeru…. You would think I would have written Ace Attorney smut at some point, but nope it’s all Digimon.

Craziest crossover: The only thing close to a crossover I’ve ever written is my Digimon Buzzfeed Unsolved AU. It’s really more of an AU, since I didn’t include any actual BFU people in it.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? No, but if lore.fm ever has any legs, I guess my fic could get used on there. It’s adjacent to being stolen. But no, I’ve never had anyone plagiarize me that I’m aware of.

Have you ever had a fic translated? No I have not.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? I have! I co-wrote two Ace Attorney fics. One of them was with two other people, which was REALLY hard to coordinate. I miss those people dearly and I hope they’re doing well. Incidentally, if someone ever wants to co-write a Digimon fic with me, I would be delighted and honored.

All time favorite ship? Oh dear this is NOT easy. For over 15 years my OTP was from the series that shall not be named. I was sad but I’m over it. Here’s what currently stands:

What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Oh man, I feel bad but it’s a fic I wrote when “Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning” came out in theaters. The fic is called “The Universal Language of Friendship”. I was working on it during NaNo 2023, but ran out of steam quickly and have no interest in picking it back up. I liked it when I was writing it though.

What are your writing strengths? Dialogue for sure. I am known for my video game style text box gimmick that allows for most of my stories to be heavily dialogue driven. I’m also told I’m good at comedic writing.

What are your writing weaknesses? Pretty much anything that doesn’t have a lot of dialogue. I’m trying to get better at descriptive language and scene setting. I’m also weak at writing tragedy and angst. But I’m working on that and hopefully getting better.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language? I only know English, so I imagine if I try anything in another language I would be pretty terrible at it.

First fandom you wrote in? It was Pokémon back and I was 11 or 12. I used to publish self insert Pokémon fic on forums. Also I co-wrote a TON of self insert Pokémon fic with a friend of mine, and we published it on our own tripod website back in the day. I guess this could be counted in my co-writing answer, but I’m too lazy to add it up there.

Favorite fic you’ve written? You would think I would say “Turnabout Dishwasher”…. But the actual answer is my Explicit Jou/Taichi (from Digimon) fic called “The Secret of Us”. I felt so inspired writing that story, and I believe it came out as something beautiful. It’s an incredibly rare pair, so not a lot of people have read it. But it’s one I go back to and reread and am like “yes this story is by me and for me”.

All of them 😭 In all serious though I’m terrible with long fics and while I have grand ideas it’s hard for me to stick through them. My Danganronpa/TGCF AU will forever be in my heart (and full planned on a discord server) but will likely never see any light of day.

I’ve been told my dialogue flows well and that I have a good hold on how people would react.

… Smut? I feel I’m slow on making it because I overthink it.

Oh!! I’ve done this!! It’s fun and also terrible. I feel I’m getting translations wrong but I do my best. I did once try to write a whole fic in another language— unfortunately that fic is lost to time.

Certainly doesn’t need the power buff but the extra aura enhancement would be funny LOL Maybe the keystone thing is like it has to activate/sync with the Pokémon’s specific stone so it can’t do two at once or something? otoya and reader are so problematic cousins coded HAHA like in a sense tullia and karasu are kind of like the wise older siblings because they’re a lot more experienced whereas otoya and reader are just up to nonsense CONSISTENTLY also wait that’s so true i always think it’s funny how nagi and reader have opposite-vibe teams but at least arcanine and reuniclus are kinda intimidating/goodra is a pseudo legendary so he’s on the same level in that sense meanwhile otoya truly has NOTHING like my man is seething every time she makes a catch

I am very much a creature of habit and tend to draw the same thing/characters depending on my current fixation, as a heads up :3 but I love trying something new if inclined!

Cross overs are most definitely allowed, I doodle stuff like that in my notebooks all the time (my little brain worms seeing each other is my favorite thing when I’m bored in class).

If I’ve never heard of the fandom before, I have in the past looked into it and drew it anyway! I love being introduced to new things, and drawing different types of characters is always fun.

I am always open to requests, I’ll draw it if I feel like it so I may not always end up getting to it. I’m not super strict with anything, it’s all super lax! I super easily get stuck in drawing ruts of doing the same thing over and over again, so having something I can check for suggestions helps bring back that creativity. I do the same for writing with my partner all the time (though writing requests/prompts I tend to be a bit more picky about the fandom choice/topic, but I am open to those as well all the time if it means I get to procrastinate but still look productive cause I’m writing something LOL).

So, TLDR: I draw for a lot of things! If you wanna shoot a request I may or may not get to it, but having option both for the creativity and opportunity to give someone some cool art if given the time is always fun!

This one is on Ao3 as well. The series is about the 10th Gen plus Tsuyoshi going to a new world to build a life. There's a BNHA and a Pokémon crossover. BNHA is a more Slice of Life Humor while the Pokemon I purely Humor, not quite Crack. Pokemon does have Hibari, though.

Black Sky by Umei no Mei

HPxKHR Starts with FemHP being raised by the Black's before she gets with Xanxus. Fair warning, very long WiP fic. Also, stays with HP for a long time. Comes off with a very Period Piece since Dorea (femHP) was raised by Old People Nobility. Amazing worldbuilding. Everything slots together beautifully, from both fandoms. Also, Dorea is a single mom for a while because of Nono's bitch ass. But she does get to meet Daniella (badass grandma with a crossbow who led the Vongola during WW2, you will adore this character, she hated almost every family decision her son made)! Beautiful communication between Dorea and Xanxus, once they realize there are cultural and personal misunderstandings.

Cliche twin fic, Tauna runs away and is taken in by the Varia.

OC's reincarnation was messed up. She ends up replacing Lambo and is aged up. Humorous, she torments Tsuna by being so blase about it all.

Different anon here. I've been in various fandoms since I was a little kid. Trust me. Having women write canon/ female OC fics is pretty normal, especailly in male dominated franchise like this. I remember back in the early 2010s when I was in secondary school the YuGiOh fandom was flooded with a fair amount of Yami/OC and Bakura/OC fanfics. (God, I'm old.) It's a similar thing here. There's a lack of girls in the canon, so the fandom fills in that gap by adding more. A lot of times that's all there is too it.

Sometimes it's to "simp", but not always. For me, I'm writing a Jamil/female OC fic, but the "Yuu" in my story is a character separate from myself with a different personality. I mostly made Yuu a girl due to having an easier time writing female protags and that shakes up the canon in a fun way, not because I want to myself with him! (I'm also out of uni, so I'm not interested in any of the main cast like that outside of Leona and Malleus. There's no way in hell I've EVER ship myself with a minor.) A lot of other writers are like that too.

Older fans (ie uni and older) tend to write the better fics due to writing and life experience along with not being interested in most of the cast romantically. High schoolers/college students tend to be less than steeler, being more prone to adding "simping" to it as well. That's okay! They are teenagers and are still learning. We all have to start out somewhere. Both sets of fans likely have canon/canon pairings as well. I know I love Jamiazu despite shipping Jamil with an OC in my fic. xD

Point is that saying all canon/OC fics are girls shipping themselves with the characters isn't always the case. You can create a canon/oc fic that resembles the canon (ie girl in all boys school) and still have Yuu be a distinct character seperate from the author, who isn't treated differently than the others. Automatically dismissing all of these as bad will make you miss out on a lot of gems.

Also, teenaged girls are allowed to be equally as cringey about "simping" as guys. If cishet guys are allowed to gush over hot anime waifus, why can't teenaged girls? Saying otherwise is a double standard.

PS, if you want some recs for female Yuu stories: Thorns and Ink and Yuu and the Power of Magic are good.

All of this, basically. I used to self-insert a lot when I was a kiddo too, make some huge crossovers, go absolutely wild. I still do it from time to time nowadays, mostly in my mind; in games like Pokémon, for example, helps me immerse myself, I'll imagine extra dialogues I would like to have with some characters and my pokémon, maybe go on a specific adventure. Daydreams, daydreams. I guess I don't do it as much nowadays because I prefer working on my own original characters with their own stories and such. I still do a lot of fanwork too, though, of course! I love it.

But yeah, I get exactly what you mean, been there, seen that, done it, too! Makes me wonder if we’re around the same age ha ha; I had a devaintArt phase, my gosh the new site is ugly. As a woman, it is easier for me to create characters like me, which has resulted in 90% of my characters female, so, yeah. When you land with a series that has a mostly male cast, you will get the itch to throw someone there that’s more like you, to see what would happen! Original characters are, of course, not always there for shipping, I know this; but even if they are, I honestly don’t mind. Write, draw, grow within this space called fandom, if this is where you feel safe to create and express yourself, if that’s what you want, for as long as you want. Keep having fun, keep creating until you no longer want to do it. Go. But feel free to come back, as many times as you want.

We all can be a little cringy, as a treat~. No matter your gender or age or anything else.

🌻 If DGM could have a crossover with any series, which one would you want it to be? Pokémon! I had to think so much for the next question that I started thinking such crossover would be really great???

🌻 Create a Pokémon team for your favorite character I raided the Bulbapedia for ¿¿¿2 hours??? and annoyed the hell out of @shiroganeryo (thank you for the help!!) and came up with a team for Miranda! <3 Am I'm!!! excited to explain each pick because I feel clever for once! :3c

Dialga: I can easily see Miranda befriending a legendary because she's just really gentle. Dialga controls time so it's a reference to Time Record's powers! I wanted to pick Celebi but the Pokédex entry says that time flows with each heartbeat of Dialga and that seemed so fitting with Miranda's connection to her clock!! Banette: A doll that was thrown away and which loneliness caused it to become cursed. Miranda used to salvage stuffed animals from the trash to fix them and I feel like she would see herself in a lonely Pokémon like this. The Pokédex says that if they get love, they'll forget about revenge! <333 Mimikyu: Similar reason as above! Mimikyu is lonely and just wants to be loved. When its rag is torn, it cries itself into fixing it because it can't do a proper job. I thought this resonates with Miranda and her low self-esteem a lot... Sinistea: Another into the list of lonely Pokémon. Hoshino associates Miranda's colors with coffee so I thought this one was a nice pick! Its form is Phony. Miranda would probably relate to it being considered "inferior" and grow attached and pick it up... Audino: A selfless and caring helper! Just like Miranda, it does its best to heal and help others even though it has the Klutz ability. Meowth: Miranda is unlucky but her last name means "lottery"!! It's inspired in a maneki neko, statues that bring good fortune.

🌻 What Hogwarts house do you think the main four (Allen, Kanda, Lavi, and Lenalee) are in? I'm actually a Harry Potter noob ^^' I only watched half of the movies so I'm sorry if I talk nonsense. But I think it would be: Allen - Gryffindor (courageous, almost died so many times lolol) Kanda - Slytherin (goal-oriented, "that one person") Lavi - Hufflepuff (could be Ravenclaw but I feel like this suits him) Lenalee - Hufflepuff (loyal and caring but no pushover)

🌻 Is there a character you think that people associate you with? Miranda!! I kin her but honestly I think people associate me with her more because of how much I love her rather than how much we're alike in personality xDDD

🌻 What’s a theory that you are so hell bent on it being true? That the Heart might be Allen and NOT the Earl! /angrily shakes fist/ And listen, I used to believe in this one (Earl = Heart)!! But as the manga keeps progressing more and more I feel like this isn't true...? It's all so confusing right now. D:

🌻 Do think your favorite character is a tea or coffee person? I associate Miranda with coffee but I think she would actually be a tea person! She has trouble falling asleep so calming tea could help her. And please don't give coffee to Alma, he's already hyperactive xD

🌻 Follow up: Do you think your favorite character is a pancake or waffle person? I think... I wanna say... Miranda is a pancake person and Alma is a waffle person? Pancakes are plainer but easier to do! And waffles can have more stuff on them (just not mayonnaise, please)!

I don't know if you write drabbles or headcanons with prompts but here we go. I just want some wholesome DrownedSilver content-- To give context,in my own Pokémon headcanon all the protagonists are deaf [But use hear-aids] and speak in sign language. That's why we don't see them talk in the games. And Lost Silver,as an old Pokémon protagonist,is no exception. So-- Maybe could you write something about it with DrownedSilver? Like headcanons and stuff?

Buddy, ALL DrownedSilver content is either super wholesome or super angsty-

But Ohhh, I've seen those types of HCs floating around and I do have some AUs where Silver uses sign language or smth similar, though more often than not he's just mute, not deaf. And I did have an old drabble, as I write both, but idk if it's exactly what you're looking for, and also it has a kinda, though very subtly, triggering topic, so once again, be careful.

Also is it weird/bad that my first thought was just: “A Silent Voice” Crossover with DrownedSilver?

But I'll try my best!

Since Silver usually and at first never really had his limbs, more specifically his arms, back, Ben was the one to figure out some possible solutions, as he can use his unowns to either spell it out

Or the both of them can create text boxes, which is also great for when Silver's hearing ads went out

However Silver wasn't using them outside of necessities and once he got his arms back, he went back to his old roots, and just flailing his arms around excitedly, attempting to talk from time to time (Idk if he became deaf or was deaf from birth)

Ben was happy for him, but couldn't decipher anything in the slightest, he didn't even know of sign language before this, and Silver didn't make it easier as he often became way too quick

So Ben asked the others for help, like Glitchy and Blue, who explained and sometimes translated a lot

He very quickly realized it may not be as easy for him as he first liked to believe, even though he gestured a lot already

But despite that, he kept being stubborn and tried, even if he wasn't sure why

No matter the situation, Ben has many complex feelings and trust issues-

Ben became very frustrated often as he didn't even have the full alphabet down yet

'Come on, man, you can remember an entire secret language for your texts, binary code and any type of cheat codes, but you can't memorize just some hand gestures for your friend?'

He would hang out more with Silver than before once he had some basics down, but still not enough for him to talk back often, just kinda understand most of what Silver “said”

Silver of course made his own special sign names for all his friends, but he didn't have one for Ben for the longest time, which troubled Ben a little, but he refused to show

He even wondered if Silver got fed up with him not learning and just like he expected was about to throw him away like every “real friend” before did

Turns out that since Ben is very important to him, Silver was thinking about a very good one just for him, and once he found it immediately showed him, leaving Ben very touched

I will not say what Ben's sign name is, because I'm gonna leave some things up to imagination... and also because I actually couldn't think a good one up myself-

Silver also became way slower while signing for better understanding, even if his excitement can get intense often still

And they like the beginning sometimes used their own ways of communicating between them, like Ben using his fire powers to create like figures for stories or something, but had to often stop, as it is still fire, don't wanna burn anyone or anything

One day as Ben and Silver like usual hung out, Ben was probably playing or so and trying to hide his “ugly laugh” from something, as Silver gained his attention, to sign to him that he likes his laugh, before suddenly becoming a bit flustered and showing a sign Ben has never seen before

Silver tried again, but at no response gave up and left, Ben confused and worried he fucked up as always

So he once again goes to Glitchy and the other Pokepastas for help, trying his best to imitate and immediately gaining a slight uproar, as the others either cheered or got defensive over Silver

Cue Ben becoming a blushing mess as they finally explain that that sign Silver used meant “I love you”

And Ben quickly met up, apologized and once again tried to sign the same as an answer

(I know I just spoiled it all, but I wanna maybe write a drabble about this scene later also, unless someone else wants to do one themselves about any of them-)

Idk why this took so long for me, as I was drawing a blank. Especially because I used to spend a lot of time with people with hearing disorders and kinda have one myself-

After revisiting Pokken Tournament and playing a bit with Machamp during an online friendly match, I had a concept for a new Pokemon OC to potentially add to Dr. Noir's adventures. I needed to doodle this before I forgot completely. As always, I had fun playing around with this concept! Introducing Wolfgang the Machamp, the ultimate pinnacle of confidence, leadership, and perseverance in the Pokemon world of martial arts! Creating this Machamp OC actually made me think of my former high school gym teacher. He was a really positive and cool guy who fought in the military and taught me that I shouldn't be afraid to push my limits and do my best. Wherever he is, I hope he's doing well. I kinda had a funny thought that some viewers would mistake this for a crossover between Pokemon and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, but sadly, I don't know much about the latter. Though it'd be nice to finally pay homage to the show after this. I shake my head some at how overblown and ridiculous the gap between this and all my other stuff is (c’mon, guys, I’ve written way better fics), but this is also the fic which prompted me (and at least one other person!) to start using they/them pronouns. I’ve gotten a lot of really sweet comments about how seen and appreciated it’s made people feel, so I can’t get down too far about it.

2. To Be A Hero (BNHA): I don’t count myself as part of the BNHA fandom, for a number of reasons, but for something that’s arguably the main motivation for the entire plot, Midoriya’s quirklessness is something I’ve never thought has been handled well. This fic marked the first time I (somewhat tentatively) claimed the disability label (thanks again to Sweeter Than for prompting that realization) to hold that lens over canon. It also really shot up my chart, dang! It’s the only thing here I’d consider “recent.”

3. Three-Sentence Shipping (Undertale): Self-explanatory.

4. Brothers Beyond Bonedaries (Undertale): Ah, the way-overcomplicated AU³ I got nowhere close to finishing. One of the things I really like about Undertale is the interface screw, how Toby Fox uses the medium of the video game to pull off crazy things and enhance his game, but most of the fic written for the fandom seems dedicated to explaining it away, grounding it, rather than taking it to the next step and messing with the medium of fanfiction when you keep the story going. I tried to do something cool like that here, playing with questions like narrator and authorship and breaking the fourth wall, even taking the “final boss” fight to a “totally separate” fic reached through the first by link – but, well, then I never finished it, which probably didn’t make anything less confusing for the poor folks who missed the intent.

5. Spirit and Such (Gravity Falls: Transcendence AU): A whole fic written to line out a particular image I had, which, naturally, never made it to the page. I consider it a bit of a cautionary tale for myself when it comes to writing (near-)original content; there’s a lot I look back on and cringe. I still love the characters, though – well, the important ones – and I think just stepping away from the tried-and-true Mizar formula nets it a star sticker here.

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

>w>; I try, but a lot of the time I just don’t have anything to say? Like, oh, you liked it? Neat. There’s not much to respond to in comments like that, and then I’m weighing falling down on an ~obligation~ to respond to every message in my inbox vs annoying people with copy-paste fluff responses all down the page. Plus I know I make more of an effort to comment on things that didn’t get the attention I feel they deserve, so if I’m driving up my own comment count with nonsense, am I preventing myself from being in a position to receive more comments later? And then if I do comment, am I being too effusive or running people’s ears off explaining things they don’t actually need to know? Sometimes people just want to express interest or admiration and don’t necessarily want a whole peek and guided tour behind the curtain.

Anyway, I do respond when I can. And I keep most of the comments I’ve gotten to go back and reread.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Hm, hmm. Lots of stuff in the TQ Nonsense series would probably qualify! I’m thinking of Unfixable, Wolfsong, and Ethanol. And there’s Bursting Through A Blood-Red Sky (I Can Live, I Can Breathe), of course, but that was always intended to have a fix-it epilogue. It’s just that I wrote it in a couple of hours day-of, stared at it, and decided I didn’t wanna just then. But now that’s As Long As You’re Still Burning Bright (I’m Still Awake), and that’s probably the best romance I’ve written, so that one worked out.

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve ever written?

Now and then! When the urge strikes. Uhhh, I’ve got a series of Doctor Who x Undertale crossovers I actually made a whole dang verse for that never made it to print. Get a couple great comments on that every few months or so. I think the World Trigger x Undertale crossover is probably weirder, though, by virtue of WT being a very small fandom. My enthusiasm kinda sputtered out on that one.

Mostly I just daydream crossovers with whatever happens to catch my eye at any given moment. I have a lot!!!! Though odds are out on whether I manage to remember any of them once the initial thought’s passed, lol.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Gotten a couple eyebrow-raising comments, but I think mostly I’m just too small a writer to draw that kind of attention.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don’t? think so? Think my tastes are a little niche for most people to bother ^^;

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I had someone apologize once for any language mistakes in their comment cause they had to run it through a translator! That’s not what you asked (the answer is no), but it’s very flattering to think that someone liked my fic enough to read and comment despite the language barrier.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! :D @pidgeonpostal was gracious enough to agree to co-write Five Nights at Denny’s with me off an idea about shoes. This has fulfilled a long-held dream of mine (collabing with someone, not the shoes) and also introduced me to some lovely people.

What’s your all time favorite ship?

Who has time for just one? ;3c Honestly, I care more about the characters and how the relationship – any relationship – between them changes them than I do about ~A Ship~ as a solid, bounded noun-object. I’ve got characters I like more and less and feelings about who does and doesn’t have chemistry in which directions with whom, but finding anything that agrees with those preferences is hard, harder when you take alloromanticism into account. I’ll play in any sandbox with cool toys, especially if other folks have already built sick sandcastles there.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

[kicks every single unfinished fic further under the bed] What nooo no WIPs here, everything on my account is either finished or does not exist

I’ve got a couple extra chapters of Sweeter Than floating around unposted, but 1. that fic’s a mess 2. high school Twixt and post-college Twixt are different people and trying to contort myself into three other me-shapes just cause people Like this fic is not something I’m super interested in 3. it’s headed for an emotional dip and I’d rather leave it where it is than post two chapters, stall out again, and leave folks with a bad end.

As for other fics... it’s looking more and more likely that v7 of my Yellow Brick Road AU will never actually make it out. >w>; I’ve got some really great ideas, but not enough to make me feel like I know what I’m doing, and that’s a big roadblock. Plus trying to engage with RT’s Atlas-Mantle worldbuilding in any serious capacity is... a headache. I can’t recommend the Happy Huntress Cinematic Universe enough, but it leaves some pretty big shoes to follow! And I’ve got small feet. <w<;

What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue’s fun, probably as an extension of characterization. I love tearing into what makes people tick, especially against the backdrop of their environment, the story they’re in, and the people they’re up against. Voice is a double-edged sword; I’ve been told my writing is really recognizable and individual, but on the other hand, I’ve been growing frustrated with with the limits of my narrative ability. There’s a strong rhythm I keep when I write (you might notice it here, even) but that leaves me feeling predictable and stale. I’m not sure I’m great at setting as a matter of course, but I’m pretty good at describing setpieces where the need comes up; that comes from my background in poetry, as does the fun I have with sublimating and abstracting complex imagery. And I think I bring some needed nuance to the universal. For good or ill, I don’t do what “everyone else” is doing.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Well, writing, for one thing. If I don’t know how something’s going to go and don’t have the urge to write it, it isn’t getting done, which means there’s a billion things that will never see the page and a few hundred more that are never getting finished. I lose momentum easily and have a hard time getting started, and I put way too much standing on finding a foothold with other people; as critical as I am of my work, I have high expectations for the stuff that passes muster, and it never seems to measure up. I’m also really uncreative. Yeah, I can mix up elements and extrapolate events, but coming up with things wholesale is really hard, which is why I avoid it wherever possible and steal/reskin stuff from other places instead.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Something along the lines of “Hoo boy, I am Not qualified for this but hopefully it’s decent anyway.” Maria’s Spanish lines haven’t been a big deal – I’ve used it sparingly and, as a Latin language, it should be easy for English-speaking audiences to pick up on the gist – but I’ve had a harder time with Tai’s Chinese, both because I have Even Less background there and because it is, of course, an entirely different language system. If I write it out in English or Romanized italics, am I colonizing it or changing the meaning? If I write it out in the presumed-original characters (presumed because it’s Google Translate and who knows if I’m even barking in the right forest), am I confusing or alienating my presumed-majority-English-speaking audience? Where should I put the translations? Should I put the translations? And for Frisk’s sign language, thinking back, are the brackets I used instead of quotes alienating/infantilizing? I like that different characters give the text between a different feel, but I’m not an ASL speaker – and I’m pretty sure the word is “speaker,” which would only reinforce that that demographic would rather I didn’t do that. It’s important for all these characters, I think, that they use non-English language where it makes sense; it’s part of who they are. But as a white monolingual English-speaker, I don’t think I can really weigh in.

What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?

Thaaaat’d be Pokémon, followed closely with Sonic the Hedgehog. Whether those fics are still on my ff.net account or not (pretty sure I’ve purged them, but you never know) I’ve still got a couple saved to a folder on my current laptop, ostensibly so I can look back and see how far I’ve come and more practically to allow for the possibility of furthering group cohesion through public shaming.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

I still like the idea behind The Man Who Is Atlas, and Burning Bright (Still Awake) gets props for being my current fic, though it’s currently in that spot where I’m excited to get new chapters posted but also quietly marking everything up in red pen. I think Harbinger gets the crown here, at least for now.
