imagine that your ex simply can't take a hint and keeps creeping on your social media so in a desperate attempt to get rid of him the only way you know is gonna work is to scare him off with a new guy. someone he can't even think off challenging.

on a night out with your friends you are venting out your frustrations about it. while you are in the middle of retelling the last time he tried to slide into your DMs the door to the bar open and you can feel the air shift.

the group of 4 guys walk in. most of them have to duck their heads through the doorway. when they settle into a quieter corner that seems to have a great vantage point to overlook the entirety of the bar your friend nudges you. "looks like 4 possible solutions to your problem just walked in."

your eyes go wide and you sputter out that there is no way. the thought of sending a drink to any of them is almost as terrifying as shoving your head into a tank full of piranhas.

the night continues and with every drink, your fear gives into curiousity. what's the worst thing they could do? bring it back? you can just leave before that happens. the alcohol and your friends chip away at you for few minutes before you gather up the courage. you honestly don't even know which one of them you're sending the drink to.

there's a loud pretty boy with a slightly overgrown mohawk wildly gesturing and retelling some story from the looks of it. when the dim light catch his eyes just right they almost glint silver.

another one but great deal calmer sits opposite, he has a killer smile with slight dimples. just the sight of those dimples could make panties drop.

next to him is a possibly older guy around 40s you'd wager, you can't see his face clearly because half of it is hidden underneath a hat and the other under a very impressive beard. but even from the little you can see the rug burn from that beard would definitely be worth it. simply based on the commanding air around him.

in the corner next to the loud-mouth sits a shadow. honestly in your slight drunk daze you almost missed him in his dark hoodie, pants and face mask. you don't see him drink but the drink in front of him does magically disappear anyway. and whenever you turn around from gawking you swear you can feel someone's stare. but as you get the chills you tell yourself it's probably the a/c blaring.

imagine your surprise when the bartender sends 4 drinks to the table and when you look back to asses the situation you have 4 (well 3 as the big boy in the corner doesn't touch the drink but inclines his head at you) miming a clinking motion while sipping on the drinks.

the mortification doesn't end because when your friends abandon you for some more dance time and you turn to get up to the bathroom you walk straight into a hard chest of the pretty boy. he calms your apologies from running into him with a smile. "wanted ta thank you for the drink, bonnie."

heat rushes to your face as you try to somehow talk your way out of this mess because what seemed like a great idea when your head was swimming with 9 drinks is starting to seem a lot worse now that you are slowly sobering up.

"nothing ta worry 'bout. come sit with us. it feels wrong to keep a bonnie lass like yerself all alone."

it isn't based on any scene in particular, just my overall interpretation and visualization of things I felt. mostly bad things. but apparently human brains enjoy that. so let's go

I'm gonna ramble now, buckle up

Frankly that's the first personal piece I've drawn in months, and I'm grateful for it. I'm grateful that I was able to feel emotions and wanted to draw something again

I struggle a lot with empathy and understanding of other's feelings and displaying my own but. I hope people will feel something by looking at it, too

I've got inspired by the old tale that we used to read on literature lessons, altho I for the life of me can't remember the name of it, or anything else from the plot for that matter. There were a competition for retrieving the jug from the bottom of the river, where many men tried and failed, as they couldn't reach it. As you can already tell, it was a reflection of the jug that was hanged on a tree all along.

I liked the concept of something unreachable being seen as being very close to you :) hence the whole water situation

generally water is seen as a positive symbol in art but for me it's cold, slippery, you can't see shit in it, misleading and uncomfortable. go figure

and I really like how CL displays yellow as a color with negative connotation while it's classically being the The Most Happy Coded Color Ever.

while I'm at it I wanted to share a song I associate with caged lungs in particular

I would have liked to talk more about how awesome the fic is and how invested I'm in the plot and characters and how noticing details and parallels makes my brain go brrrr but I'm shy and not really eloquent with my words. I hope you will get the idea anyway. I love it <3

At first, Phainon was silent—well, technically, he was flustered. He paused everything he was doing and looked at you weirdly, trying to understand why you were asking him such an obvious question, yet he answered anyway.

“Of course,” he tucked a conveniently fallen hair strand over your ear, laughing rather softly at your question despite the confusion, “how could I not? It's as easy as breathing and as simple as admiring the skies.” His face got closer, a smile still apparent on his face.

“You don't have to try so hard. It's quite easy to love someone like you.”

He kissed your forehead. It felt soft, and the love from his heart seemed to wrap itself around you from this one action. And somehow, the lingering touch left you wanting more before he eventually talked again.

“You don't always need to fit in. You're fine as you are.”

He kissed your cheeks, both of them, carefully. And just like before, the lingering touch had left you wanting more. How could someone show their love so apparently like this?

Suddenly, he held your shoulder, forcing you to match his eyes. They seemed to focus solely on yours as he tried to mutter out something.

"You're you, and—" He gulped, the hold he had over your shoulder tightened slightly, "and that's why I love you.”

He leaned in. And at that moment, you noticed the slight tremble in his hands as he kissed you—slightly, softly, only touching the left corner of your lips.

“...understand now?”

Oh, God. You wanted to cry at this moment, somehow. It felt as if something—you didn't know if an old wound had been healed or it was just you feeling so loved—had changed in you.

Is it truly possible to have someone love you so deeply and effortlessly? — You often questioned that. For someone who had been thirsty for such an 'easy' love, how could you not melt for the man in front of you? How could you not... love him back as well?

“Yes, yes.” You sobbed out, smiling awkwardly through all the bubbling feelings. “I understand well.”

Hearing your answer, he laughed rather quietly. It sounded comforting, rather than anything else. Some people could laugh at you when you show vulnerability, but he didn't. He never did.

“Good." He smiled, nodding off to yours and his own words. "I hope you remember it well too. I really love you, you know?”

And so, you smiled back.

As your heart was filled to the brim, you finally gathered what little courage you had to give him a small peck to his lips, truly finishing what he wanted to do before.

“...uh?”

You grinned cheekily.

“Hehe, I love you too, Phainon.”

And that was all it took for him to finally melt in your hold.

Really loving the thought of being violated with forced kisses, rather than sex.

Yes, the sex is one thing, holding you down no matter how much you struggle and ramming his body into yours — but this is different. It's sensual, sure, but more… romantic, or at least a crude imitation of a romantic act. Less directly lewd, less perverse, more vulnerable.

More intimate, and all the more violating for it.

He still makes it fairly sensual — the hand that isn't nearly crushing your jaw as he holds your head still is instead roaming under your shirt, grasping at the flesh. But the way your faces are so close, the lack of harsh movement and rapid intensity as when he's inside you, the slowness of it all, it makes your stomach churn.

Feeling the hot breath on your face each time he pulls back for just a brief moment, the sensitivity of your lips capturing the sensation of his pressed to yours. The way you move downward as he leans forward and pushes you down onto your back without even breaking away. His hands squeeze on your waist as they begin to make their way beneath your waistband, just as his tongue pushes past your lips and into your mouth, violating you in a way that somehow feels more humiliating and vulnerable than anything else, forcing himself into you, forcing you open and baring yourself to him against your will.

The worst part, though, is the sound — it's a wet, smacking sort of sound, that only gets worse and amplified as his tongue moves against yours, warm and soft.

Only rivaled in the way it makes you tremble by the increasing intensity, the way the sounds from his throat becomes like low growls, the force with which he presses his face to yours, the grip on your jaw growing painfully tight, the increasing harshness of each movement and the way he begins to rut his cock against your groin through each other's clothes…

Finally pulling away, only to mutter soft curses as any remaining inhibition is lost, and the coolness of the air washes over your skin as he jerks your clothes off in just a few swift, forceful motions, eager to force the rest of himself inside you too.

Also! Your art style is gorgeous and that being found in 2023 and then refined throughout late 2023 and the entirety of 2024 really shows, as does your growth in panel layouts, perspective, and — as you said — experimentation. If you ever post your animation or video game art I’m looking forward to it.

As cheesy as it sounds, being able to laugh at funny comics and look at all the details of your art really made my 2024 brighter, even when things were hard. Including looking at your older art— it doesn’t need to be new to be enjoyable! I’m glad your art is well loved and it’s a privilege to have been here since the (near) beginning. I hope you take care of yourself in 2025 and beyond!

Thank you so much for keeping up with my art journey throughout these last two years! Two years!!! I am baffled at how that feels both too long and too short!

Admittedly, my art summary didn't manage to capture the fact that I did a lot of comic layouts that I'm really proud of. I also drew more backgrounds and made some very detailed works (*Dungeon Meshi spoilers for these examples*).

The growth is lot more evident when comparing my 'best' comics of 2023 to 2024:

Sometimes the growth is vertical, sometimes it is horizontal - and damn, sometimes it goes out of sight into the Z-plane. But it is always happening!
