This was an illustration requested on my patreon for $5! This was the illustration for December!
homunculushound on Patreon requested "Something About Condor and Crane". There's not a lot I can show without dipping into spoiler territory, so I decided to just go with their meeting!
Instead of a long winded explanation under the cut this time, I wrote a little scene to go with it! My prose isn't the best, but I thought that would likely be more fun than just hearing me talk about it! I'd honestly love to write more little scenes for these illustrations, but we'll see!
--------
Crane was still lost on what to do without her mother. The flock had only lost Goose a couple of days ago to wounds caused by that supposed King. Watching the life drain from her mother’s eyes, hearing her final words rasp out of her mouth—”Keep the colony safe”—it all weighed heavy in Crane’s mind. Crane had been trained and groomed to take Goose’s place since she was a kitten. But now that the time was finally here….
Crane wasn't a fighter. Not many in the Flock really were. While Goose had made the judgement to allow refugees fleeing the King’s conquest to join the Flock’s ranks, many were not battle hardened either. The majority were widowed mothers and fathers with kittens to raise, the elderly, and the already injured. Not much to be able to honor her mother’s dying wish.
The Flock were sitting ducks if she couldn't get her colony in a place to actually defend themselves. She wasn't going to roll over and let that barbarian wipe out Goose's Flock—Crane’s flock—for his own gain.
“Mother Crane?” Crane’s ear twitched at being called leader’s title. She still was not used to being called it. It was only the original Flock members that used the Mother honorific anyway. She sensed it often made the refugees too uncomfortable. She tilted her head around to see Blackbird, her medic.
“Yes?” Crane answered.
“Uh,” Blackbird stammered out. “That cat is awake.”
Crane's ears perked. After her mother's passing, she’d taken a walk to clear her head. How convenient then had she instead found the broken body of a muscular cat in a ditch. She thought he had been a corpse, until she saw his body twitch and his eyes train on her. She sent for the medics to treat him only as insurance. She hadn't expected him to actually live.
“Oh, good.” Crane wrapped her hairless tail around her paws. “What has he said?”
“Nothing,” Blackbird said. “Nothing at all. He just…stares. I think he might be incompetent.”
“Incompetent or not, he must be a strong soul to survive with those terrible wounds,” she said. “And the Flock needs more of those. Take me to him, maybe I can get him to talk.”
Blackbird scoffed. “Don't see what you could do that we haven't already tried.
“You should never doubt the feminine wiles, Blackbird.”
---
Blackbird was right about one thing. This cat sure did like to stare.
His head sat flat with the floor, paws on either side sheltering his muzzle. Without all the blood coating his body, Crane could more easily see the other scars that littered his huge body. This wasn’t his first tussle clearly. Crane winced as she saw the red bandages on the underside of his belly and neck.
She spared a glance at Blackbird before she walked towards him. His large amber eyes stayed glued on her. In the morning light they showed almost red.
“Hello, there,” Crane said soothingly, her mother had taught her. He blinked. “I’m Crane and this is the Flock’s base. Or at least a makeshift base. Our old home got ransacked and destroyed by the King’s army.”
The tom blinked again. Crane shot a look over her shoulder at Blackbird. He shrugged.
“What's your name?” She tried instead, turning back to the tom.
Still no response. In fact, no indication he had understood her at all. Just those same large red eyes looking at her. They reminded Crane of a kitten’s: innocent, curious, scared. What a ridiculous thought. This tom must’ve been several months her senior.
“See, Mother Crane?” Blackbird called from the entrance. “Incompetent. Can’t understand a word you say to him. We might as well throw him with kittens for all the good he would do in a fighting force.”
Crane sighed. She was about to open her mouth to sadly agree when the tom lifted his head.
“...mother?” He said, in a raspy voice. His eyes were still blown out wide and staring at her.
“He can talk—” Blackbird said, trotting inside to stand beside Crane. “Well, why didn’t you speak up before?”
At Blackbird’s scolding, the tom put his head down again. Crane smiled for a moment, thinking it looked like a turtle retreating into its shell with all the neck fluff he had.
Blackbird gave an aggravated huff. Crame ran her tail down his back.
“Let me speak with him alone,” she said. “Maybe he’ll respond better to me. I’ll report anything he says back to you, okay?”
Blackbird hesitated. He eyed the tom once more before nodding. He leaped back out through the entrance, leaving Crane alone with the strange cat. Crane watched his eyes follow Blackbird out of the den, unblinking.
“Now,” she said, sitting down in front of him and getting comfortable. “how about you tell me your name?”
He took several moments to answer. Crane was beginning to worry he had gone mute again when his mouth opened.
“Tiny,” he said. Crane couldn't help but huff a laugh. She was glad to see whoever his mother was clearly had a sense of humor. Tiny’s ears perked at the sound of it.
“Well, Tiny,” Crane said, laughter still in her voice. “This is my colony, The Flock. We’re the ones who saved you. Can I ask what happened?”
“Got ambushed.” Crane watched Tiny’s claws sheath and unsheath.
“Now why would they do that?”
“I killed some of them.” The frankness at which he said the words sent a shiver through Crane. That had not been what she expected to come out of Tiny’s mouth. He pouted. “It's not fair to get ganged up on though. It’s mean!”
Something is seriously wrong with this cat, Crane thought. She considered for a moment speaking with Blackbird and maybe killing Tiny themselves. Something painless. That's what Goose would've done. With so many mothers and kittens joining the colony, he might be more of a liability than anything. Though, Goose wouldn't have dragged a shambled almost-corpse back to their base during this desperate time in the first place.
But something kept her from making that call. For one, Blackbird and the other medics had used so many resources on helping this cat, it would be a waste to just kill him now. And for two… the way he looked at her. While before he had been staring at her non-stop, now he seemed to find anywhere else but her face much more interesting. He spared shy glances at her, seeming to gauge her reaction.
She’d done the same with Goose several times. Whenever she’d come back with prey after a long day for them to share. Whenever she made an order around the colony that her mother had taught her. Whenever she’d brought Scout back to her mother, claiming him as her mate.
Approval.
But Goose wasn't around anymore. Crane didn't need to get approval from anyone.
She fixed Tiny with a warm smile, a purr escaping her throat. “That isn't fair. We’re in that same situation now.”
“Really?” Tiny said, genuinely surprised.
“Yes,” Crane continued. “See, the King’s Army is bullying us small colony cats, it's just not fair. We need as many cats in our corner to hold them back. You seem like a strong fighter, you can join us if you’d like.”
“I can?” Tiny said excitedly. He pushed himself up, before wincing at the pain of his injuries. “I’ve never been in a colony before!”
“Yup. All you have to do is change your name to a bird. That's all.”
Tiny thought for a moment, his lips pursed like an overactive kitten being asked some history fact. While his demeanor was definitely odd, Crane was becoming more charmed by it as the moments passed. Tiny was handsome. His build was much different than Scout’s, but that wasn’t a bad thing. Not a bad thing at all. She felt the burning shame of what her mother would think, but Goose didn’t have a say over her life anymore. Lost it the moment life had faded from her eyes.
“That cat called you mother,” Tiny said, pointing with his muzzle towards the entrance. “A mother is the one that names kittens, so you should name me!”
“Oh, I’m not—” she began before cutting herself off. She didn't think it was worth it to explain to this cat that ‘mother’ was just the Flock leader’s honorific. She wasn't sure he would be fully able to understand it anyway. “...Whatever, sure. I’ll name you. Hmmm, how about Condor? We found you in a bloody heap of yourself afterall.”
At that Tiny—Condor—finally cracked a smile, all teeth. Crane wasn't scared by the sight of them.
“I love it!” Condor said.

Sunny Day Jack - Oopsie Baby 2
I've been scrounging up spoons as best I can to continue with the Jack accidentally getting Alice pregnant idea. I did a small continuation of it in a reblog replying to some tags, but I figured I'd make another proper post for as long as my spoons last.
Let's touch on a bit of the timeline for how this sort of AU might unfold. Beware of spoilers for Sunshine in Hell.
Content Warning: This post contains some spicy talk about sex and intimacy, both positive and negative experiences. I mean, how else is babby formed? There's also discussions about pregnancy, birth control, chronic illness, sickness, contemplating abortion, manipulative behavior, and a dash of overprotective sketchy yandere spice.
@channydraws @earthgirlaesthetic @sai-of-the-7-stars @cheriihoney @illary-kore @okamiliqueur @kurokrisps
As you may remember me mentioning from previous posts, Sunshine in Hell is my personal alternate continuity of the Something's Wrong with Sunny Day Jack story and won't follow the games one-to-one. For example, as I've also mentioned in previous rambles such as this one, the relationship that develops between Alice and Jack is more of a slow burn, and that includes being intimate. Their first kiss isn't going to be the same day or just a couple days before they wind up making love for the first time.
Still, the morning after they go all the way for the first time is the same day Shaun shows up to stay at Alice's place. It's just too hilarious to me to imagine how flustered she'd be about the whole thing, especially after Jack seduces Alice while Shaun is there to mark his territory.
So it'd be even more hilarious that this is when Jack accidentally gets Alice pregnant. She was already mortified and upset after she figures out he intended for Shaun to hear them, so why not have that moment cause further drama later~?
Though I suppose their first time could be when it happened as well. I mean, getting knocked up isn't an instantaneous thing. It takes a while for the sperm to reach the egg and what not, and Jack is definitely going to seduce Alice a fair amount of times before the seed that he planted starts to take root.
Which is more reason why Alice kicks herself for not buying Jack condoms. Maybe the surreal and supernatural aspect of their relationship made such consequences slip her mind. Being with Jack is like living in a happy dream, detached from the regular struggles of reality. There's also the fact that condoms are expensive, and she's barely struggling to keep afloat with her meager paycheck.
It's so easy for Alice to forget such troubling details when Jack is there, whispering sweet words into her ear, caressing and kissing her body so lovingly. He makes her feel so beautiful, desirable, perfect, and irreplaceable. It's so easy for her to get swept up by him. She's never felt so loved before. No relationship has felt so right. It scares her sometimes how naturally they fit together, so effortless in spite of challenges they face. It's nothing like her previous relationship.
Not to mention their connection causes his horny urges to rub off on her, increasing her libido. Sex with Jack is actually a pleasure for Alice, unlike previous experiences, and she's found herself hornier than ever after they start getting intimate. She never thought penetrative sex could feel so good, make her feel so connected to someone without any barriers between them.
Granted, Alice was a lot more cautious when she and Ian were together, and she always made sure he wore a condom when he was going in down south. Despite often losing control of himself when horny, and really, really wanting to do it bare, he was pretty good about making sure he was always wrapped.
Though I wonder if Ian remembered to use a condom when he cheated. I mean, he clearly forgot he was in a relationship at the time, so I'd imagine using protection would slip his mind as well. Hopefully he didn't get his affair partner pregnant. That would make things so much more complicated.
Ian and Alice had discussed having kids before, but as a far, far future thing. Though Ian was terrified about being a father, as he wasn't sure he'd be a good one. He never knew his father. The closest thing he had to a father was Alice's dad, Ambrose, and even then Ian felt guilty even thinking about as Ambrose like that, like he was betraying his mom somehow. Perhaps it was because of all his mom's talk about him being selfish with his desires and how all men are cheating scum...
Alice had yet to talk about kids with Jack.. well, outside of him being a kids TV host and being fond of them in general. Certainly, he imagined having children one day with his sunshine, but Alice was taking things slowly with Jack.
Of course now the topic is at the forefront whether they're ready for it or not.
Alice was so distracted by her new relationship with Jack and all the pleasure and complications that comes with it, pregnancy never crossed her mind. Too much is going on for that to come up.
First there's the relationship itself, then using introducing Jack to Shaun as a trial run before Alice tries to do the same with her family. This comes with the whole embarrassing incident of Shaun overhearing Jack and Alice going at it and having to deal with the awkwardness that follows. There's also helping Shaun move into his own place and getting settled in.
It's only after things settle into a new normal that Alice starts bracing herself for how she's going to introduce Jack to her family, though she's started talking about him to them without yet mentioning his supernatural nature.
It'll probably be sometime after Shaun gets moved into his place that things start seeming amiss. Alice suffers from chronic illness, and sometimes this causes her cramps, exhaustion, nausea and food aversion/sensitivity. As such, when these pregnancy symptoms manifest, she just assumes it's business as usual, more or less, even if the nausea gets pretty intense. She's learned she just has to deal with it by this point.
It's only when Alice realizes that she hasn't had her period for way too long that the thought pops into her head.
One missed period is something to take note of, but not necessarily anything bad. Sometimes a period skips a month. Two though... that's when things get dicey.
Heck, Alice could even be as far as three months in if she mistakes the light bleeding that's common to experience in the early weeks of pregnancy for her period.
It's possible Jack noticed something different about Alice. Being a ghost(?) he might possess more supernatural powers than we've seen thus far in the story. It's possible a part of him picked up on some sort of change in her warm light that he can't quite put his finger on. Maybe to him it's like she's glowing even more radiantly than she used to?
Though Jack is more focused on taking care of his poor sunshine while she's sick. Alice has to work even on days when she's throwing up. It's so unfair. If only he could work in her place. If only he could provide more. He spoils her even more to compensate, and she appreciates how far he goes to take care of her, but he can't take away all of her troubles and woes.
Once Alice has the thought she might be pregnant, that's when the fear sets in. She hesitates to say anything to Jack, at least not until she takes a pregnancy test, but it'll be very hard to hide anything from him. Since she's been sick lately, he's particularly keen on going with her everywhere, especially if she's doing something to exert herself. Still, she does manage to talk him into staying home to cook dinner while she picks up "a couple things" from the corner store, one of which being a tester.
Alice doesn't like keeping secrets from Jack, especially since they've become so intimate, but this fear feels... irrational? Like she shouldn't worry Jack about something that might not even be possible.
Like she shouldn't crush his hopes considering how isolated he is...
It's even possible she had a pregnancy scare in the past with Ian and, well... I have a feeling that would've been a very stressful situation involving a lot of tears and fears.
It's better if Alice is the only one freaking out about what might be nothing at all.
Besides... Alice is on birth control. There's no way it failed... right?
Jack does pick up there's something amiss when Alice starts acting dodgy around him. When she rushes immediately to the bathroom after coming home from the errand, he's willing to chalk it up to being related to her illness, but the feeling of panic he senses from her when she takes a while to come out has him soon knocking on the door asking if she's okay.
When Alice gets the positive result from the pregnancy test, at first all she can do is just stare at it in disbelief. She did buy a second one, just to be sure or in case she somehow messed up the first, but the result is the same.
That's when the panic sets in.
When Jack knocks on the door and Alice hears his sweet, concerned voice, that's when she has a bit of a breakdown. She didn't tell him to come in, but when he heard her sob through the door, he couldn't stop himself from rushing in.
Home pregnancy tests in the 80's weren't an easy to read stick, but a whole miniature chemistry set, so Jack isn't likely to recognize the iconic little device Alice is holding in her hand. As such, he has no idea what's wrong and needs to calm her down so she can tell him.
Needless to say, Jack is floored when Alice tells him through tears that she's pregnant.
At first, Jack stares at her, stunned, then when it's clear that he heard her correctly, he's overcome with emotions - disbelief, joy, and worry being chief among them. The idea of being a dad is terrifying, but at the same time he's elated. A part of him wants to spin her around in the air and shout for joy.
It's her fear and tears that mollifies his excitement.
Jack focuses primarily on reassuring Alice, tucking away his excitement and his own worries for later. His sunshine needs him now... as does their unborn child.
Alice is so angry with herself. She should've thought about this possibility. She should've known better... bought condoms, got better birth control, done something! It's all her fault. After all, it's not like Jack can get his own birth control, and he always dutifully follows her lead. How could she have never even thought about this before? She was so reckless.
Jack remains strong for Alice, talking her down from spiraling while cuddling her close. He gets her off the bedroom floor and onto their bed where where it's comfy. She's not hungry for the dinner he made for them, but that's okay. He can heat it up later. Right now taking care of her comes first.
The situation is complicated. Jack understands full well that this is going to be a huge challenge, but he assures Alice they can both handle it. He promised to always be there for her and take care of her after all. He'll take care of her and their child, no matter what.
Alice worries about the logistics of it. This place is too small even for two fully grown adults, let alone a baby. Her apartment in Sunshine in Hell is much smaller than the one she lived in with Ian, with only one bedroom, one bathroom, and a common room sectioned off into a living room and kitchen/dining room.
Her paycheck is pathetic. Even though Alice always makes sure Barry doesn't stiff her on all the overtime she works, it's still barely above minimum wage. She has student loans to pay off, medical bills she has to pay with chronic illness and the like... plus having meals with Jack so he can feel more like a regular human means she's spending more on grocery money. How can that pitiful paycheck stretch enough to handle a baby on top of all that?
Then of course there's telling her family. Alice hasn't even told them about her situation with Jack yet. How is she supposed to explain this?
How is this even happening?
The rest of the day is spent with Jack comforting Alice and talking her through her panic and anxieties. It worries him how upset she is by this news that overall has made him so happy. He does share with her that he's worried too, but he knows that together they can handle anything. They'll be good parents.
Alice does consider abortion as an option, but the idea is too much for her to handle. She can't even vocalize the thought. She's pro choice, but that means understanding herself and what choice is best for her. As hard as having a baby will be at this point in time, the idea of getting in an abortion... she can't even think about it. It's just too much.
Fortunately, she doesn't have to. Jack does pick up on this line of thought and how hard it hits Alice, so he redirects the conversation away from it gently. He gets her to focus on the things they can do to make things work.
It might be happening a little sooner than Alice expected, but she said she wanted to have kids one day, right? It was something she mentioned while they were still just friends (likely when finally spilling her guts about Ian and lamenting all the dreams that were destroyed there). Even if the situation isn't ideal, she has a partner who loves and supports her. No matter what, Jack will be there for her and their baby. He's taken care of her so far, hasn't he?
After quite a long and emotionally exhausting conversation involving a lot of reassurance and love, Jack does manage to coax Alice into eating a little before she finally passes out. They have a plan of action in place, to see the doctor as soon as possible to get this confirmed and make sure she and the baby are healthy. After that, they'll take things step by step.
Money is the biggest issue in this capitalist society. Jack knows it all too well. Though he runs away from memories of being Joseph, the days when he was a penniless drifter still haunt him. He won't let that happen to Alice and their baby.
It's not a good thing what Jack is considering, but he did promise to take care of their little family, didn't he? What kind of man would he be if he just sat back and let Alice do all the hard work?
Still... Jack can't bring himself to go too far (yet). He's Sunny Day Jack! Sunny Day Jack would never consider doing something underhanded and illegal, even if he really needs the money.
But maybe... a few nudges to her boss might help grease the wheels a bit. Barry is such a bully, constantly forcing Alice to come in, especially when she's sick, pushing her to work long hours, trying to squeeze extra free hours of labor from her where he can. He owes her for all of that, as well as all those days off he yanks away at the last minute and overtime he just expects her to do day in and day out.
Jack always thought Barry was taking advantage of his sunshine. He encouraged Alice to stand up for herself more and make sure she got what was owed. He helped on her end, but clearly it's Barry that truly needed the lesson here.
Besides, it's not like a nightmare ever hurt anyone before, or a few sleepless nights for that matter. Jack is just teaching a naughty boss a lesson about respecting his employees and treating them fairly. A hefty raise and some bonuses are the least Barry can do after all the suffering he put Alice through.
If that's not enough... well, Jack will just have to brainstorm more ideas about ways he can take things into his own hands.
What's for sure is that Jack isn't going to let Barry push more overtime on Alice either. If anything, she needs more time off to rest! Pregnancy is hard on the body - especially a body that's already suffering from chronic illness!
Jack doesn't go too far, at least not right away. Terrorizing Barry is something he can excuse as justified in his mind right now. Outright theft or other highly illegal activities to acquire money? Not so much.
At least... not until Ian comes back into the picture, trying to act like the hero and save Alice from her plight.
Ian doesn't find out about the pregnancy until Alice mentions it on her socials. She joined some online support groups for people unexpectedly expecting for the first time, and Ian stalks every single account and who she follows to snatch up any scrap of info about her that he can.
It crushes him. At first, Ian almost believes that it's his baby Alice is pregnant with. It must be.
But that's just impossible. They've been broken up for over a year now.
Not to mention Alice has talked about a new boyfriend in some posts. Ian was going crazy trying to find more than just some drawings she posted about him, but this "Jack" character is like a ghost, with no footprint online.
Ian isn't even sure Jack is real. After all, that face paint and strange outfit look an awful lot like the part he's been hired to play. He actually convinced himself that Alice was stalking him like he was her (which makes it totally okay!) and found out about the part, which means she's indirectly telling him that she misses him by drawing "him" as his new persona that's going to make him a star.
But Ian doesn't say as such to her. No, not with how Alice is stubbornly distancing herself. She's been vulnerable since they broke up. She nearly accidentally killed herself after finding out he cheated. Anyone could've swept in while she was vulnerable to take advantage of her then dip out when she got knocked up.
It boils Ian's blood to think of such a predator targeting Alice like that, especially after he hurt her so badly already. Now more than ever he needs to step up and help her. He needs to cross the boundaries she put up to keep him out, for both their sakes.
So Ian gets in contact with Alice through a mutual friend. Heck, maybe even gets them to trick her into meeting with him someplace where he's waiting with a bouquet of flowers and a tearful apology.
Which isn't going to go over well. Alice would be freaking out at the ambush, especially since she'd be very visibly pregnant by this point and extra emotional due to hormones.
Ian was prepared for that though. He manages to keep Alice from running away and puts his metaphorical foot in the door. He apologizes. Not only that, but he offers her money, claiming there's no strings attached. He owes her at least this much for all that he's put her through.
It's a very unpleasant conversation for Alice to say the least, but she knows Ian well enough to know he's sincerely sorry. She knows he's in pain. He might have tricked her with this meeting, but he does care... He knows she wouldn't have the heart to abort or give away her baby. She's so kind, and she'll be a wonderful mother. He always knew she would be.
Ian feels sorry for himself for a bit, lamenting his mistakes, but he's going to make it up to Alice. She and the baby need help, and he'll do that for her... It doesn't even have to mean they're back together as a couple. Conceding this point is like a spiky lump in his throat, but he reminds her how they've always been each other's best friends, and he wants to be her friend again now. He won't push anything on her. He just wants to help.
Of course we all know Ian isn't going to be satisfied with just remaining friends, but he's learned over the past year or so since they broke up how to adjust his tactics. He's had to learn the art of the deal and how to make people want you in order to make it anywhere in his model and acting career.
Is it manipulative? Of course not, Ian would insist! How could it be? He's just making things up to Alice and showing her how sorry he is. He's proving it with his actions and not just his words. If he proves it well enough then he'll be able to make amends and make things right between him and Alice.
Ian doesn't even care who the father of her child is. He's not ready to be a father, but he views it as a sacrifice he's willing to take in order to have Alice back. He'll do his best no matter how scared he is, since losing Alice has been far worse than all the what ifs and fears he built up in his head.
If not for the pregnancy, Alice would turn down the money. She left the big apartment, her old job that she enjoyed, and a lot of possessions behind after the breakup just because they were tied to Ian. She willingly threw away all that money just so she wouldn't be reminded.
But Alice has a baby to think about. Her child is far more important than her hurt feelings or how icky she feels about accepting charity from her ex. Sure, Barry has surprisingly given her a pay increase lately, but it costs so much to get baby supplies and rent a bigger apartment. Plus there's the medical bills...
It... it should be fine, right? Ian owes her for all the pain he put her through and this makes them even... right? But how can she tell him not to contact her again after accepting it? He might claim there's no strings attached, and maybe he believes it, but the emotions tied to it can't be so easily severed.
Naturally, Jack is anything but pleased by this whole thing. He can't do much to stop it, save encourage Alice to leave, but Ian keeps drawing her attention away from him with pitiful attempts to gain her sympathy. Alice is so kind. Even after how much Ian has hurt her, even though this meeting itself is painful, she still doesn't want to hurt him.
Jack does help bolster Alice's resolve to turn down the money, at least initially, but Ian is surprisingly insistent. He drops the money into her account before she can stop him. He still has her account details from when they lived together and had started intermingling their finances. Alice forgot about that since he never did anything related to it since the affair.
When Alice sees that amount hit her bank account, she's just stunned. How the hell did Ian get so much money? Sure he looked good, and he was wearing expensive clothes and product, but...
Then again, Ian has that modeling job now. He's popular. He talked about this show he got a starring role in. It's hush-hush right now, but he'll let her in on the details since she's his oldest friend.
Alice isn't interested in details. She keeps trying to avoid letting this situation get more personal... but Ian has become more confident since he moved away. He's so different in a number of ways that it's hard to recognize him... yet he's also the same in ways that are maddening and make it so hard for her to stop caring about the little bullied boy who was her only friend in school.
Jack helps Alice cut the meeting short, or at least shorter than Ian would've liked. Ian accepts her retreat reluctantly, but offers that she can contact him at any time. If she needs more money, help with anything, a shoulder to cry on, or anything else, all she has to do is ask. He's there for her... always.
Oh you bet your butt Jack has a lot to say about that sentiment.
Unfortunately Jack can't tell Ian off, at least not there. Sure, he could expose himself, write a message like he did with Shaun, but that needlessly complicates things.
They'll just need to have a private discussion later.
For now, Jack focuses on Alice, reassuring her that she doesn't need Ian or his money. She doesn't have to deal with feeling hurt or awful like she does whenever she even thinks about Ian. She has Jack, someone who loves for her and their baby and will move heaven and earth for them.
Alice did make it clear right away that she's in a new relationship with someone else. She's happy now. She even mentioned Jack by name, though that resulted in Ian giving her strange look she couldn't quite understand. He didn't seem as crushed as she expected him to be. He even asked about Jack, and Alice declined to answer, not wanting to prolong the conversation.
Ian caught how Alice winced when he asked to meet Jack, maybe get his phone number or photo. Her avoidance of any of these just felt like proof to him that he was right about the identity of this "boyfriend" of hers.
The entire encounter was stressful, and felt far longer than it actually was. Alice was left feeling a bit conflicted and unhappy with herself for letting Ian get to her like this. Fortunately, Jack was with her the entire time. It was reassuring to have him holding onto her while she had to face Ian. He gave her the strength she needed and made dealing with suck an icky situation just a bit easier with his reassurance that it was okay to just leave Ian behind. Jack continues to reassure and comfort her after the meeting, which she needs badly after being so shaken.
Keeping the money is something Alice is the most torn about. She doesn't feel good about it, and Jack says they don't need Ian's help, but... they do need money. She's living paycheck to paycheck, and the baby isn't even here yet! She's barely keeping her head above water.
Can Alice really let something as petty as pride keep her from giving their baby a good life?
Jack has been helpful the entire time. His help has been invaluable. Alice doesn't think she could hold it together without him. This money doesn't take away from how important Jack is to her or how much she loves him. It doesn't change who her baby's father is.
Jack can't do anything his sunshine doesn't want, and that includes returning the money.
So Jack will just have to take matters into his own hands. As long as Alice doesn't need that money, she won't feel pressured to keep it.
Alice also won't have to feel obligated to let Ian back into her life if Ian is the one who decides to leave her alone once and for all.
Alice was right that a parent can't let their pride get in the way of taking care of their child. That includes Jack's pride in being the flawless role model of Sunny Day Jack.
So what if a law or two is broken? It's not like the law applies to someone who doesn't legally exist. Jack might as well take advantage of this almost nonexistent state he's in to get away with things no one else can.
Ian might have a lot of money to throw around, but Jack can do so, so much more than Ian could ever dream.
Jack just has to figure out a way to not get caught by the only person who can see him. It's not that Alice would reject him for what he did for her and the baby, oh no! It's just not good to stress her out more than she already is.
Alice doesn't need to know, just like she doesn't need to know about the person Jack used to be. He's still clean as long as she doesn't know. Jack can stay clean and perfect and everything Alice will ever need.
Things might've gotten a bit out of control, but that's okay. Jack can fix it. He's quite the problem solver. All Alice needs to do is take care of herself and love him with all her heart, just as she's been doing.
Jack has been given a second chance. He'll never let anyone get in the way of that.
I think I'll wrap things up on that fun yandere note, as I'm starting to run out of spoons. Maybe next time I can go into the King family's involvement and how Jack might try to win over his new in-laws despite a lot of obstacles standing in his way. I hope you enjoyed this ramble about the drama that comes with unplanned baby making!

Hello my dude, im The anon of The demon Yn headcanons I saw that today Is your Birthday AND considering that is your birthday I'd like to see how you think that our monkey boys AND their sons would react to readers birthday.
Like Is The Birthday of MK and everybody are in a very elegant party for The son of The great Sage and The Reader decides to show himself in The party (I think that The Reader would be More attached yo MK in comparision with The other children of Wukong AND Macaque) AND The are enjoying some Time alone with Mk AND The sweet boy asks The Reader when Is His birthday AND The Reader Is like "Oh it was The last week" AND sudenly all The room falls silent AND The Reader Is like "Oh shit i shloudve stay shut" and Wukong and Macaque decide to have a "Bonding" day with the reader in compensation for forget his birthday
Anyway, again Happy Birthday i wish you a good day my dude
(I love the idea. But I'd rather change Mk to Azure if you don't mind.).
(Also, I tried to make this part take place later in the Murderous Lust story, but without spoilers).
What Reader thought would be a small gathering of Wukong and Macaque's friends turned out to be a huge day of celebration.
All the kings' relatives and the most powerful demons from all over the territory had amassed in the palace's vast courtyard, where bleachers had been set up.
Reader sat surrounded by his two husbands. Both were talking to some of their friends. Reader would have left already if Macaque hadn't slipped his tail around his leg, and Wukong hadn't put his hand down to caress his shoulder. Reader was stuck in his place.
The only thing he could do was to look at the flat ground in front of him. From here, he could see the various demons talking to each other or warming up for the upcoming spares.
And one of them caught his eye. A demon taller than those beside him. A blue... lion?
Reader moved his leg so that it pulled a little on Macaque's tail. Macaque turned around with a questioning look on his face.
— I need to go pee...
A basic excuse, that had little chance to work.
His tail slipped, releasing him after tenderly caressing his cheek, and wukong, who must have heard them, removed his hand from his shoulder.
Reader headed for the interior of the palace. Not that he really wanted to go to the toilets, but he could get away from all this agitation.
— Good morning, Your Majesty.
The big lion had found his way to Reader and was kneeling in front of him. Reader was taken aback by his size - even kneeling, he was taller than he was.
Azure got up.
— Are you here to take part in the games?
— Oh, um, yes, I'll be among the first to fight. I hope you'll be there to see it.
Reader was thus caught up in the conversation he was having with Azure. Having seen him in the distance, Reader had expected a thick brute, like so many he'd seen since living among demons. But no, Azure was calm in tone and character, and seemed genuinely intelligent. And his soft side reinforced his teddy-bear appearance, which helped him to let his guard down and speak frankly. It did him a lot of good.
The two of them talked about everything and anything as they moved away from the field and the preparations to a quieter spot where they could have a quiet chat.
Azure towered over him by several heads. He was imposing. And this despite the fact that he stooped slightly to speak to him. He'd also slowed his pace; with his big legs, he naturally walked faster. And his voice sounded very smooth and relaxed. The big lion was doing everything to adjust to Reader.
The lion then told him who he was, who where his friends, talked about his relationship with the kings, his exploits, his kingdom...
Reader loved listening to him. His steady tone made what he said appeasing. It was a welcome change from Wukong's bursts of joy or incessant requests for caresses. Or from Macaque's manipulative speeches.
In the course of the conversation, the big feline spotted a bruise on one of his legs and asked where it was coming from, his voice betraying concern.
— Oh, I hurt myself when I fell, yesterday. No big deal.
A quick excuse that would do. In reality, Reader had hurt himself trying to escape. He'd bumped his leg as Wukong pounced on him, a victorious toothy grin on his face. He'd won his bet with Macaque and found him first.
But his joy was short-lived. Wukong hadn't completely cushioned the impact and Reader's leg had rubbed against the ground. He had spent the rest of the evening trying to make amends for having accidentally hurt his love. To make it up, he had even organized a meal of his love's favorite dishes.
But Reader was angry at him for keeping him here, away from Lex, not for this little injury.
Macaque, for his part, was annoyed with his brother-in-arms; he knew him to be less cautious and more of a brute, but the simian thought Wukong clever enough not to hurt their peach.
Azure reached into one of his saddlebags and drew out an ointment. He patted it with one of his pads and applied it to the bruise. The numbing heat disappeared and a sensation of cold soothed the wound. The lion was very gentle in his gestures; he knew humans were fragile, much more so than demons in any case. And he had learned not to hurt them. Strangely enough, it was this frailty that drew him closer to humans, making him want to protect them.
Their discussion drifted from one subject to another, without a common thread. At one point, they came across the term “birthday”. Azure had mentioned his advanced age, and Reader had asked him what day his birthday was. Azure was surprised by this question. No one had ever asked him that. And it showed on his face.
For a moment, Reader thought he'd offended him and apologized, but Azure reassured him there was no offense intended.
— I've never celebrated my birthday, he admitted, a little embarrassed. We demons are much less concerned about our age.
— Maybe you should try it sometime, it's quite fun.
Azure agreed. He wanted to try it.
But also, he liked Reader's company, talking to him was a relief. Like a breath of fresh air.
So Azure assured him that he would celebrate and that Reader would be invited. And Reader accepted; Azure was gentle and gifted with an innocent kindness, unlike that of the monkey kings. Reader felt much better. He didn't feel sick to his stomach at his side.
They talked for a while.
Then Azure resumed his stories. He told of the time he had saved an entire human village by evacuating them from their village, shortly before an attack. He was proud and happy, and you could hear it in his voice.
— You seem to have forgotten the part where demons ate them all alive. Because they had nowhere to go and no one to protect them.
Macaque appeared from nowhere and gently grabbed Reader by the shoulders, pulling him towards him. His razor-sharp gaze never left the lion's bewildered ones.
— You didn't save anyone, worse still, you gave them a far more horrible death. Your pity made them suffer even more. So don't brag too much about your “exploits”.
Azure was taken aback and couldn't find words. Ashamed.
— Now, if you'll excuse me. But I've got to talk to my husband.
Reader flinched as his voice became deeper and his grip stronger at the end of his sentence.
Azure nodded, gave Reader a discreet glance and left.
— I thought you'd gone to the toilet, not that you'd snuck off this far.
— I bumped into your friend on the way, he was nice, I just wanted to talk to him, Reader replied curtly.
Macaque pinched the bridge of his nose, exhaling in annoyance. Azure didn't yet know that Reader was the reincarnation of their former love.
— Did you tell him your name?
— Did I what? No, why?
The dark ape breathed out in relief and didn't answer the question.
Reader didn't know it, but in his former life, Azure had shown a little too intense interest in the woman of kings.
Macaque tensed visibly. There was no way that would happen again in this life. If the blue lion ever came near their love again, this time he swore he'd skin him and turn him into a bloody rug.
Macaque took Reader against him and rubbed up against him, like a cat would do. He didn't like the smell Azure had left on his husband. And he made sure to replace it with his own, despite his treasure's protests and incomprehension.
Macaque had seen the way Azure gazed at THEIR husband. It was far from innocent. It was envy.
— That homebreaker... murmured Macaque.
They both returned to the agitated flat ground, Macaque keeping a protective hand on Reader's waist.
o0o
D-Day had finally arrived. Reader had been able to come to the lion's birthday party, despite his husbands' refusal. After weeks of arguing and shouting, Reader proposed a deal with the two warlords. In exchange for coming to the party, he would promise to reward the kings by making an effort (more smoochies, less protesting and shouting, but above all more cuddling).
Reader really wanted to go, as he needed to clear his head and refresh his mind until he could come up with a plan to save Lex and take revenge on the two warlords.
— Thanks for coming, Azure thanked him, almost purring.
— My pleasure.
Reader heard Wukong and Macaque grunting. They stayed close to their love, very close. They sounded like two enraged bodyguards.
The party began, and the demons, unaccustomed to such events, seemed to be enjoying themselves. They got drunk, stuffed themselves and their laughter echoed around the place.
Reader got caught up in the atmosphere and started drinking, even though he wasn't used to it. It wasn't long before the alcohol kicked in and Reader looked happy and relaxed. He was having so much fun, he forgot all his problems. The two kings did nothing to stop him drinking too much, the sight of such a happy Reader was so rare.
Discussions with several demons went on without a hitch, and the two warlords also began to drink and relax.
Until Azure approached them. He had hardly had anything to drink. He didn't like his mind clouded by alcohol and preferred to drink moderately. And he thought Reader was like that too. What a surprise when he saw a hilarious, red-faced Reader. A sight that made him smile.
And that, right there -Azure's smile-, didn't make Wukong and Macaque smile, as even after drinking they were still quite alert to their surroundings.
Azure started chatting with Reader. Their discussion moved from one subject to another, even more quickly than the last time they'd met. Reader's answers were also much messier.
Then Azure mentioned the birthday, thanked him for the idea and asked:
— And when can we celebrate yours?
— Oh, uh, mmm. It was... last week.
— WHAT!?!
The room had fallen into a heavy silence. None of the guests dared to make the slightest noise and remained frozen like statues. Wukong reacted instinctively and exclaimed.
Reader just laughed at the looks on the two monkeys' faces. Surprised and annoyed by this news.
The kings wouldn't be angry with their sweet peach, but they'd be angry with the decisions he'd made.
They weren't the type to celebrate the same holidays as humans, but birthdays, yes.
Plus, the thing that got them angry, was that, on several occasions, they'd asked him the date of his birthday and Reader had stubbornly said nothing.
After that, they would leave the party, with a drunk laughing Reader.
Leaving behind Azure, chagrined at not being able to enjoy Reader's laughter for a little more.
o0o
The following day, they decided to throw a big party to celebrate his birthday, even if it was too late.
— You should have told us!! complained Wukong.
— Why did you tried to hide it? asked Macaque.
Now sober and in full possession of his senses, Reader, with arms crossed and a haggard look on his face, replied curtly.
— I don't know, maybe because you're two huge freaks who've kidnapped me and if you think I want to celebrate my birthday with you, you two are even more stup...
— Your promise! Macaque reminded him.
Reader exhaled loudly and did his best not to insult them.
— I don't feel like celebrating anything with you.
— So you're ready to tell this to another demon? asked Macaque. You do know that he did worse things than us. He also killed and manipulated. He also have the whole kidnapping his love thing as he is a demon.
— I was drunk and I'm ready to talk about it with anyone that hasn't probably killed Le-
Reader reminded himself not to mention his husband.
— We understand that you're tensed and angry by this situation, but trust me, it would be better if you tried to let it go. You would be happier and would get use to all this much more faster.
Reader didn't reply.
o0o
The fires set the sky ablaze with warm colors, while the explosions drew the sky into multiple shapes. A magnificent sight. Lex would have loved to see it...
Sitting on the ground in the garden, wukong on his lap and Macaque behind him, Reader admired the dark sky illuminated in all its colors.
For a moment he turned to Macaque to see that he had moved away. The fireworks hurt his ears and frightened him. And Reader saw that.
“Maybe you’re right, maybe letting it go would do me good. It could show me your weaknesses.” though Reader to himself as he put that weakness in a part of his mind.
The party went on until morning.
o0o
Macaque was in a deep sleep, tired from the previous night's party. Reader, sandwiched between his two husbands, found himself headfirst against the muscular torso of the sleeping dark demon. Reader watched his chest and fur move to the rhythm of his breathing. He looked completely exhausted. He wouldn't wake up if he tried to get out of the pillow nest.
But Wukong had spooned his peach and stuck his stomach to Reader's back - a veritable brick wall protecting him from all outside dangers. He held him close and Reader could feel his warm breath against his neck. His grip was firm, yet not unpleasant. Even in sleep, he wanted to be as close to Reader as possible.
Reader was trying to get out of the situation. But he couldn't. So he accepted his fate for this morning and tried to go back to sleep.
(Sorry it took me TIME to finish it, but I kinda like the result :) Hope y'all did like it too. Don't hesitate to comment what you think of this :3 )
(Shit, I forgot to write something about a "bonding day", I will complete it later sorry :'') Hope I answered your request :') )
(This AU is inspired by @semisolidmind "bad end wukong" and @hcdragonwrites fanstories)

Idk if this is like, tinfoil hat territory, but I'm just now getting into chapter 5 and Duri talked a LITTLE bit about his uncle, and now I'm curious??
Is his runaway uncle our ran-away dad LOL
Cause dad mentioned HAVING a brother, at one point, I'll have to go back and play through that section again to see if I can glean anything else from the conversation he has with Ravi about it. I know he doesn't say MUCH, but now that I've thought about it I can't let it go LOL
I wish I could remember what he looks like actually, I'll have to remember to compare them now too, if I go back and find out that they look NOTHING alike I'll be a litttle embarrassed LOL don't laugh at me too hard
It's just interesting, there's definitely some emphasis being placed on Duri not even knowing if his uncle is alive or not, and it makes me curious because i thoughttt dad was leaning more into a secret royalty thing, though his dislike of the gods could also just be self-loathing, or loathing directed towards his very special godly parent(s? plural???)
Duri described him as kind and fun, but never really okay. That sounds like it could be pre-escape dad, when he talked about how he was expected to sire children without consideration for his preferences. I don't remember him mentioning nephews/nieces, but that would probably open up a whole conversation he'd rather not have, and it'd also probably be too obvious to the reader.
I could also be totally crazy and off the mark LOL but it felt like a damn good epiphany in the moment, and I'm having fun thinking it over.
what a WILD family reunion that would be though, "hi dad i might be dating your estranged nephew/niece now."
I'd keel over on the spot
[OKAY I WAS ABOUT TO HIT SEND BUT I THOUGHT ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE, DIDN'T GRANDMA JUST GO MISSING TOO? or was she our other dad's mom?? I'm gonna have to replay the beginning AGAIN with this theory in mind just so I can sort it all out LOL WHAT IS GOING ON IN OUR FAMILY]
I'm not sure if this would qualify as spoiler territory or not, so don't worry about responding if so LOL I just had to put the idea somewhere or I was gonna go stir crazy. I've missed this IF so much, I love being able to theorycraft a bit now that I'm back. Feels like home.
Tumblr media
Reading this brought me much joy, dear, lol.
That would be one wild and hilarious family reunion!
So Kip (Da's) older brother he mentioned will be brought up again in chapter 6, so you may have some of your answers before too long. Perhaps a few other tidbits about the rest of Da's family as well will surface. It's not so far-fetched to think an RO or two may have connections to MC's extended family...just sayin.
And Papa (Dov's) mother (Ravinder) is the grandma that went missing. Kip's mother (currently not named in the story) is referenced as being alive but "spiritually" dead by Da.
MC's whole family is a Daytime TV series waiting to happen. ^_^
I adore your theories, dear! If you cook up anymore ideas, you can let me know. There's so many juicy things in Chapter 6, I can't wait!

After today's convos I think I made my choice.
Im dating Arthur and BFFing with Aoi. I love then both a lot, and I want in my heart of hearts to say "Aoi and I are gonna Mag together forever", but first of all I don't want to break up with her ever... and I messed up a dialogue cuz I misread a question and she quickly left after that. It felt terrible and Im like "I would rather not exist if I disappoint you again in a relationship", but that's part of the problem. I put her too high on the pedestal cuz she's Mag and she's cute. Our personalities are similar enough that I dont think we had a bad conversation until now (omfg that hurts), and talking to her is like talking to the me I'd love to be... but then I feel like I'm objectifying her and that has its own problems. .... Yeaaaah, no I'm not doing that to her.
Arthur is different enough to me that he's grounding... or... I feel like we (Arthur and Flo... who is kinda me. Before i was speaking as Me) could be anchors to each other. Keep us tethered to reality. Also, because I'm not biased towards him I don't feel like I have to be perfect all the time or that he is perfect all the time... .... I think I'm trying to say that he I feel normal around him and it makes me feel secure. It's comforting. Granted I also feel bad when I mess up with him but it's not the end of the world. I'm gonna process, reflect, breathe and be confident that I can go back and we can recover instead of doom spiral and never show my face again.
Eleanor I like a lot, but she's in a similar boat as Aoi in the "Ah shit, I hate having a bad interaction with her" but it's not as severe. It's more like... "I love talking to you, but I feel bad because I keep missing your point". Given time I think I can understand her better (AuDHD be damned, I'll get there! I'll be on the same page one day!), but until then I need to understand her mind better so she doesnt keep ending conversations in distress.
Quincy? ... Yeah Im not gonna date him. Saw a lil spoiler that made me feel terrible with the idea of breaking up with him and it made me take a step back and look at how I feel about him. Now I could be messy (and maybe Flo will be messy cuz why not?), but then I thought "As much as I am overjoyed to have a black love interest with long locs (like me), has at least some Jamaican in him (I'm half Jamaican/Haitian, American born and raised), is a Sagittarius (he's December Sag and I'm November Sag), not as dreary as Arthur can be but still more grounded and I like his humor and honesty.... I hate the favors. I'll give in cuz I want to know more about him and I like talking to him, but it's approaching pet peeve territory and this recent conversation made me realize that it's part of his world-view. Now, could I commit and push through his conditions to see if he'd open up to me unconditionally? Yeah... but as a non-confrontational people pleaser I know the process would chew me up and spit me out while I feel bad for even daring to challenge the mindset that he most likely developed to survive in a world that could destroy you for a weakness. Tis not healthy.
Now Lettie surprises me. I'm not great when it comes to people who are more harsh with their no-nonsense and her interest in religion was a bit of a turn off. What gets me is that when we talk, I'm uncomfortable but because I dont want to blow her off I engage with her and accidentally find myself getting along with her. It was awkward at first, but then... I understand her views the most out of all the Hex. Aside from Aoi. She's the me I'd be if I dropped the smile I use to survive irl and didn't let my shortcomings rule me.
Now Amir... Amir is cute but he's just like me but actually good and videogames and technology and I hate it. He's the oddball with ADHD and insecurities, a love for games and funky jokes when surrounded by tired and defensive veterans who would rather fucking not and I see him and I'm like. "Hello brother... Tell me about your games cuz literally no one else takes about games. Let's game! Let's go nuts! Let's go buckwild!" I say I hate him but I don't, I just hate the idea of dating him cuz it'll be like dating me or my brother. Brother energy. Eugh... I miss my brother. This made no sense and I know that, but idk how to make this make sense.
... So yeah those are my feelings as I understand them so far. As lovely as it would be to date and romance everyone, or date Aoi and just go Mag all the way... I have to go with what feels best. And right now I feel best with Arthur.

Could you by chance elaborate more on the Security Breach part of your AU, chiefly involving the Aftons, etc? Been asking alot about the past so far, so figured I would see a bit more about how their futures played out as well.
Sure! I have indeed changed a ton of things from the original game to work for my re-imagining, so answers below as usual!
So basically, no Mimic. No burntrap. No book connection shit (unless I specifically enjoy one detail from it, and usually I don't unfortunately 💀💀) and no Blob, basically all the stuff that made SB and in turn Ruin kinda crappy for me are gone. (This is a very self-indulgent rewrite as you can tell) And that's only a couple of the changes I made for the rewritten timeline! I'll consider listing off all the different details and stuff for the entirety of my FNAF lore if it's in high demand, I don't really expect it to be though lmao
Glitchtrap in this rewrite is William after he escaped from his afterlife prison (it's kinda strange to explain, but basically he was put in his afterlife torture/FNAF UCN by Cassidy and some of the other vengeful kids, he wasn't contained permanently however Cassidy made that afterlife for him and when she moved on, his afterlife disappeared with her and he went back to the normal world as a free, psychotic ghost, yikes!)
As for dead characters that are not coming back, it's basically everyone who is not William, Mike, Evan or Lizzie. Everyone gets to stay dead or appear in flashbacks only.
Moving on to Mike, as I said before he'll possess GlamFred because his life mission of killing his dad is not finished since William was still 'alive' in his afterlife and he did eventually come back as Glitchtrap. So for a while he was stuck in this limbo/purgatory place (and as a matter of fact so were the rest of his siblings! His mom was surprisingly the only one who did fully move on, RIP) I still haven't really worked out their whole purgatory thing, so I don't quite know how to describe it. A WIP so to speak.
The way both Liz and Evan come back is a little strange. So Evan came back via using his remnant from his Fredbear plush (...I swear this isn't a joke 😭😭) and because remnant is like yk, remains of a soul, Evan's spirit returns and Willaim forcibly uses Gregory as a replacement body for Evan's ghost to inhabit. Both of them did not agree to any of that! :( and Liz isn't exactly possessing Vanessa in a traditional sense but she is stalking and haunting her to try and use her body (Who knows if her plan will succeed?)
I'd love to keep on rambling but I think I'd end up treading in spoiler territory if I do (I say as if I haven't been talking about every miniscule detail I have planned out lmao)
Also I want to clarify that the details of GlamMike, and Evan and Liz coming back are apart of my Put Back Together Again AU, which involves my OCs who are Gregory's family. So that stuff is exclusive to that AU (but like that AU is also still part of my re-imagining, it's kinda weird to describe but you'll have to roll with it sadly)

Hello! :]
About the question game:
🟠 Bright
🟡 Sun's mom (you didn't see that one coming, did you? >:]) the question is in past tense for obvious reasons (i have some thoughts on what the answer may be, but want to hear it from you)
🟢 Y/n and Moon from Mad Scientist AU
🔵 Mad Scientist Sun if "work" and "researches" weren't an option
⚪️ Moon from Luca AU >:}
(I know what I said about getting a good look at the characters firstly. Buuut I've seen him in 1.5 chapters and I've got my headcanons for the time being, so it counts for me. and i'm just being extremely curious about this one)
🪩 Bright and Sun from luca au
🔴 Moon from Mad Scientist AU
⚽️ Freddy... from luca au? (I'm not sure if he plays a significant role in your fic- but still)
Take your time answering these. It's understandable if you ignore some of them if they're unanswerable or if the information shouldn't be disclosed yet
expect more questions at some point. You've been warned >:)
P.S. if you want to infodump about luca au, you're more than welcome to 👀
I barely resisted from asking a bunch of questions about mer Moon. What stoped me is that I want to get to know him more or less gradually. He seems like a finely layered character 👀 (AND YET I ASK THE WHITE QUESTION, YES pffhpffhf)
P.P.S when I address a question to two characters I don't necessarily mean them as a duo, but you can answer it this way if it's fitting
Hehehehe
Gonna put all my thoughts under the cut cause there are LOTS
🟠 Orange- What is a trait your OC hides about themself from others? Do they refuse to acknowledge it or begrudgingly accept it?
For Bright they kinda have a lot of things about themselves they don't like and try to hide from others
I'd say the most obvious one is their phobia, they really don't like talking about it or showing a lot of weakness or vulnerability in general
The only reason they are okay with Sun babying them sometimes is because they've known each other for a long time and Bright knows that is how Sun interacts with everyone he cares about, he tends to be overly protective and worrisome
🟡 Yellow- What is something your OC wants but knows they can never have? How does it feel to never get this specific desire?
Hohoho this is a super interesting one
I would say this gets into some serious spoiler territory but I will say if she could remember and if she was still alive her biggest desire would have been to be there for both Sun and Moon, to have a happy family, all 4 of them
I think if she met Moon as he is now she would have deeply regretted not being there for him
🟢 Green- What is considered a weakness in your OC that is actually a strength? What is a strength in your character that can be twisted into a weakness?
Ooooo ok this is a bit of a toughie
I'd say for y/n I'd say it's their empathy, they are the type to tuck their stuffed animals into bed and cry when spiders are killed
bit of a softy they are
I think its both their biggest strength and weakness considering it both saves and kills them depending on the timeline
Mad scientist Moon it would be his will to survive
It's kept him alive this long, but it also requires the sacrifice of another, potentially the consumption of others
He doesn't want to hurt anyone but if he is going to survive he will need to
🔵 Blue- How would your OC spend a single day of interrupted peace? Where would they go or who would they be with?
For mad scientist Sun, there's a single bench on a secluded corner of campus near a dead tree that he goes to when he needs a moment or a breather
Its at the top of a hill and overlooks the surrounding city, during the late afternoons it gives the best view of the sunset
Sun doesn't get days off, he becomes more stressed when he isn't doing anything than when he's working on something
But in moments he allows himself a break, he likes to go to this spot, maybe bring a cup of hot tea or coffee, just watch as the world passes by
He's brought Y/N up there a few times, it's a beautiful peaceful spot
⚪️ White- When was a moment in your OC's life that they felt the most vulnerable and exposed? Were they alone or surrounded?
HOOOOOO
Don't wanna spoil it for you but let just say its the moments after the incident
**spoilers for chapter 12 of Under the Surface**
Moon oddly enough wasn't super emotionally messed up about killing Bonnie initially, he didn't know the guy and didn't like him
It was the moments after that kill him, the choices he made after he killed Bonnie that eat away at him and weigh on his conscience
I will say that Moon made some bad decisions
🪩 Disco Ball- What was an achievement that your OC felt worthy of celebrating? Was it a personal victory or a big impact on everyone around them?
For Bright this moment is coming up actually and will happen later in the fic
It's not a super big spoiler but I don't wanna reveal it before it happens cause it's a fun wholesome scene
For Sun, back in college he was able to land the lead role in the musical play they put on, he had mainly played cooky side characters before this, so this was the first time he was really acknowledged for his skills
Of course he hasn't landed a lead role since and has kind of given up on theater, but he still holds that moment close to his heart
For both they also consider landing the other a really big achievement pfptpfp
🔴 Red- What is a trait your OC has that those around them don't see very often? Is it seen by a rare few or completely overlooked?
Oooo another MS Moon one
I'd say it's the fact that he's actually quite perceptive
He notices when Y/N is stressed or when some people poke and prod him and he's pretty good at reading those who intend him harm or only want to help
This ends up being an issue for Y/N in the bad Moon ending since he knows that Y/N wants to leave but doesn't want them to. Some of the things that seem like accidents in that ending are actually on purpose
⚽️ Soccer Ball- Who is someone that your OC believes in and roots for? Are they private about their admiration or do they make it well known?
Oooo interesting hmmm for Freddy...
I'd say ironically enough Monty
You'll learn more abt their relationship with the newest chap I hopefully will post today, but Freddy and Monty are uh- not super close right now
Freddy does feel a lot of guilt about the situation though and wants to be friends with Monty again eventually, but as of right now he isn't super vocal about those feelings

Golden Wildfire Ch 9
Spoilers for GW up to Ch 9 below.
STORY
Edelgard makes no progress in the war. More news at 6.
Wow, 6 month time-skip. Part 1 finished. Didn't think we were getting another time-skip, but with Edelgard licking her wounds, it makes sense because no one tries to murder anyone when she stays in her own country.
"End of the Alliance" - sounds ominous.
Oh. It's now a Federation. Like Star Trek. But shady as fuck. Because Claude just crowned himself king so he could take more control. Weird how everyone just accepts this. It doesn't really fit the narrative that people don't trust Claude.
So . . . Edelgard's war actually made the Alliance less progressive 😅. Because now the Liecester is just a monarchy.
Claude didn't tell Shez, lamo. It really feels like these two aren't close at all. I feel like Shez is closest to Dimitri -> Edelgard -> Claude.
It would be nice if this was an Alliance focused part and not about Edelgard's nonsense anymore.
There's trouble in Alliance territory with areas that didn't want King Claude and they're rebelling. Honestly, don't blame them. Ohhh, they want to join Faerghus. They like King Dimitri better. Agreed.
This really is heading towards an Edelgard Claude team up, isn't it? With the people who don't want to bow to king Claude wanting to leave and join the Kingdom. Welp, at least it'll be different. And hey, Claude's funeral, not Dimitri's so what do I care? As long as it's interesting and different from VW.
Don't blame Claude for wanting to put down the unrest. Happy not everyone drank the Claude kool-aide. And don't blame anyone for wanting to leave the Alliance. It's kind of a no one is the bad guy here (except Edelgard), unlike with Dimitri with the Western Lords where they are definitely the bad guys.
I don't trust Claude farther than I can throw him though.
MAP/SIDE QUESTS
This "battle suggestions" is interesting, but it makes it seem like Shez is in charge of the whole army lol.
Can someone explain how the "merc whistle" works? It seems like you can take someone's special ability and give it Shez. But you could also equip it on someone else? So I could make someone else invulnerable like Lorenz if I gave it to him? But that person's "ability" goes away? Anyone have a list of what those abilities are exactly?
You can actually tell Claude you don't support his actions (or are unsure). Edelgard routes could never.
NPC says the minor lords now get no say in what happens.
Yep, here it goes. Claude's meeting with Edelgard to ally with her again. At least here Claude's calling out her shit on attacking them for no reason.
Edelgard is so two-faced, denying that her end goal is take over.
"We'll take tangible resources over insincere apologies any day." - Lamo, Claude, if you know she's a two-faced, insincere liar why on earth are you doing this?
I like this version of it better since at least Claude seems like he has two brain cells at least. In SB, he really came across like Edelgard's mindless bitch.
Now he's calling her out for creating her BS southern church lol. Holst called it an "obvious sham."
Arval said Edelgard wouldn't even acknowledge Shez's existence.
Shez is actually not supporting Claude's decisions in cannon.
See, this makes it WAY more interesting. SB/CF cram what you should think down your throat (SB less than CF, but still doing it), but GW is giving it more nuance.
I think I can say GW is by far my 2nd favorite right now.
Oh, another time limit one! I liked that in the paralogue.
Hurt having to fight the Kingdom again.
Judith also calls out Claude, saying he's talking about people's lives like they're just pieces on a chessboard.
Marianne and Ignatz are also upset.
"You let the Empire talk you into buying the whole store." - Judith
Claude claims he's using the Empire right back. I'd like to see how. Like, I think GW is a way more interesting take on this, but I'm honestly super confused why he thinks this is a good idea for the Alliance.
Lorenz also said he's throwing the Kingdom to the wolves for no reason.
Claude drags up ancient history as an excuse. Which is hysterical since recent history the Empire just killed Alliance people.
Seems like Claude just hates the church and that's why he's siding with Edelgard. Even though that leaves it really easy for her to take over and she said she would through non-military means later.
Claude is a complete dumbass here, but at least it's interesting.
Aww, Shez checked on Shamir, making sure she's ok fighting Catherine. This game really ships Shamir x Catherine and I'm here for it.
Shit. I missed Claude x Hilda's B Support. Did I miss something amazing? Does this mean I'll have to play GW again? Not sure I care enough. I like them both well enough and all, but I can really only see myself replaying AG. IDK, maybe one day.
Anyone else find it shady that Claude is killing any noble who doesn't want to follow his new system? I get it, but that's sus as hell. It's esp funny because the Empire is trying to smear Dimitri for taking out the Western lords (who all helped in a genocide), but their allies doing the same to not-evil people is fine.
CLAUDE & SHEZ B SUPPORT
This is going to be funny with how openly Shez isn't trusting Claude right now lol.
They're just talking about him being king and how Shez first suggested that the Alliance had a king.
Claude wants to open up to Shez because she doesn't have any strings attached.
Talking more about Shez's mystery mom who just died of illness. Then she got kicked out by everyone else. Wonder why?
SHEZ & HILDA B SUPPORT
Hilda still lecturing Shez on charging to the front lines, but thinks Shez is skilled enough to handle it.
Hilda compares it to Holst who also leads the charge, unlike most leaders who stay in the back.
Hilda doesn't think her brother is capable of dying because no one is good enough to kill him, and now thinks the same for Shez. No one told the poor woman about arrows.
Hilda now fights more up front but denies it.
Shez can tell Hilda her cheerleading annoys people, lamo.
Welp, that explains why she's ok with attacking innocent people and continuing war because rHeA bAd, because she's convinced herself the people she loves can't die. Ummm. Ok.
SHEZ & LORENZ A SUPPORT
I feel like Lorenz got flanderized a bit in this game. Like, there's not much to any of his supports so far but "I am noble, so I am better." I honestly don't care much about him, but he had more depth in Houses.
Shez expects Lorenz to complain more. But he's just her to brag about why he's grown stronger.
She can assume he did it to get the ladies lol.
But nope, of course not, it's because he's a noble and a noble is better than commoners than he needs to be stronger than her.
He wants Shez to get in trouble so he can rescue her. Ugh.
Shez says that Lorenz fulfilled his oath to get stronger bc Shez only does what she does bc she relies on allies.
That was really one-dimensional, and Lorenz was just unlikeable in it.
HOLST & BALTHUS A SUPPORT
Oh, Hilda's here. So they just squeezed her in his support with Holst to excuse giving her a support with Balthus.
Hilda is worried that Holst is acting weird and thinks Balthus might be behind it because they've been hanging out.
Hilda is convinced that Holst is uncurroptable because he only like things that are just. Balthus seems to hint otherwise.
Seems like Holst is DRUNK. Or just being cringy. Hilda's mad that Balthus set her up so Holst could listen in.
Hilda's embarrassed, understandably.
Holst calls Hilda his "hope." Yeah, I get why she's annoyed.
CLAUDE & LORENZ A SUPPORT
Lorenz points out that his family has always been friendly with the Empire, so this change is no big deal.
He accuses Claude of just copying his father.
He says House Gloucester should rule and not Claude, and says he will be the next king.
Claude accuses Lorenz of his ego being out of control.
Claude suggests letting the people of the Alliance pick the king. Lorenz thinks it's silly until he changes his mind.
Lorenz, rightly, points out that Claude's new position in precarious and its success or failure is on Claude.
Claude is a doo-doo bird though. He thinks that the Empire and King in Adrestia and Faerghus, respectively, are upheld because of "the Goddess's blessing" and not, you know, really complex stuff. Like, both Edelgard and Dimitri face getting thrown out in the two games over things that have NOTHING to do with religion.
That's weird, their support had a picture.
SHEZ & LYSITHEA B SUPPORT
Lysithea feels that their relationship is strained and wants to clear the air. Shez didn't even notice lol.
Shez is a pretty simple character, but I like it.
Oh, wow, Lysithea realized she acted like a brat and apologized. This self-awareness makes me like her a LOT better.
Aw, Shez is helping Lysithea feel mature and older. But then put her foot in her mouth when she referred to people under Lysithea's command as "real adults" lol. Lysithea struggled but kept her head!
Honestly, I like this a lot for Lysithea. Character flaws are great, but they're annoying as shit when they're not acknowledged properly (I still get flashbacks to her awful Ignatz support), but when they're used to show growth, that flaw is suddenly sooo much better.
SHEZ & LEONIE B SUPPORT
Leonie wants mercenary advice.
Lamo, Leonie thinks the bow isn't good enough to be a first-class mercenary. Homegirl's been watching too many movies and not reading enough military history. Mounted archers were unmatched.
So now they're just discussing over specialization vs versatilty.
It's kinda nice seeing Shez in a mentor role.
SHEZ & MARIANNE A SUPPORT
They go out to eat together. Marianne didn't eat her meat and Shez is concerned.
Marianne is now determined to believe she doesn't curse people around her.
Shez encouraged Marianne to just be herself, which Marianne wants but worries about her father.
Marianne accused Shez of talking without thinking and thought it was a good thing lol.
BALTHUS & LORENZ B SUPPORT
Lorenz absolved Balthus of his debts to House Gloucester.
Lorenz credits it to Balthus helping and saving Lorenz on the battlefield.
Lamo, I forgot that Balthus investigated Claude and claimed he found all kinds of dirty laundry.
Lorenz wants him to hold onto it so he can use it later to unseat Claude and take over the Alliance instead.
Balthus is upset Lorenz isn't a lady because he's impressed with him being a scoundrel lol.
MAIN BATTLE
Hahahaha lamo, the Knight of Serios are beating Edelgard's army, which has to be like 5x bigger.
Oh - led by Randolph, THAT explains it. Against Catherine? Pft. Catherine wouldn't even consider that a bout it's so one-sided.
Shez still doesn't understand what Claude's doing. I'm not the only one who thinks these two aren't even remotely close, right? I feel like Shez is way more invested in Edelgard and Dimitri, and like Claude's just some dude who hired her.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Claude legit just left Randolph to die, lamo.
I think we just killed Catherine :(
😂😂😂 Edelgard's forces got wiped out. Randolph is really the punching bag of Fodlan. They should've made it Dorothea or something if they wanted us to give a shit.
Yep, time for Claude to get chewed out. As if Randolph isn't foaming at the mouth to invade the Alliance in SB.
It's funny how offended everyone is. As if this didn't happen in real life all the time. I mean, they'd only be mad a noble died because you can make money taking them as hostage.
Is this evil!Claude, the route? Like because he was such a goody-goody in Houses? I still think it's funny it's always Randolph.

One Piece-Chapter Round-Up(Chapter 1089)
Tumblr media
Heyo friends! I am back with another One Piece Chapter Round-Up below the cut, but before we get into spoiler territory, I just want to point out this absolutely hilarious cover page. At first I didn't even notice Sanji behind her in the window but I love these layers Oda adds on to the simple request of Nami being served milk. Since she's being served a drink it makes sense the cook is in charge of it and since it's Sanji there's no way he doesn't use that opportunity to be... himself. And funnier still is that since the fact the paper is facing away from him he'll be waiting eagerly only to be rejected. One thing I might be reading into a little too much is Nami's quill, which looks like a skypeian wing hanging off her shoulder. Foreshadowing perhaps?(Look I have a contractual obligation to be absolutely unhinged at least once per round-up) Anyways, moving on, let's talk about the chapter below.
Obviously I want to freak out about that last panel, but there's something really interesting going on with this chapter before that. I don't know if it's because I have been recently reminiscing over Coby and the time he tried to stop the Marineford War, but I have honed in on the idea Oda presents of The Marines' absolute disregard for life and their acceptance of collateral damage. It was a shock to see it doubled down on in a new chapter just mere days after watching a clip of that moment from Marineford.
Tumblr media
With this being tumblr and the overwhelming majority of us being left leaning, I feel quite comfortable in discussing politics as mine are also left wing. Very heavily so. But I preface it with that fact so that you understand that some of my personal biases may play a role in my interpretations. Obviously, Oda and Japan's cultures are vastly different from those that I was raised up in so I am only speaking from a very surface level understanding and not the lived one Oda writes from. I have a very ACAB and abolish the police mentality and from my obviously biased point of view, it seems so does Oda.
Tumblr media
But it's not just policing that Oda emphasizes. It's any system of power. But he looks at it through the lens of policing because they make the most natural enemy of lawbreaking pirates. Also just like the popular idea of the Death Note representing Japan's harsh police system, the Marines also appear to be an allusion to it. I am really curious about which way Oda went about creating the Marines and their relationship to pirates. There was an idea of a distinction between pirates called Peace Mains and Morganeers in the two one shots of Romance Dawn where Morganeers were the pillaging type of pirates whilst Peace Mains preyed on the Morganeers like vigilantes and adventured as well. Obviously that put Peace Mains in a sort of policing position so it's really curious how we ended up with the Marines being the big bad(other than Blackbeard of course).
Tumblr media
In a tangent before we get back to the Marines, it's really interesting what carried over from the one shots, what didn't and what could. It had been a while since I revisited them but one thing I realized because of Crescent Moon Gyari is that Whitebeard's Beard looks like a crescent moon, basically symbolizing the moon before the dawn that is Luffy. Sorry if that was obvious, I'd just never made that connection before. The more interesting things to me are what might still carry over. Particularly from the second one shot where the Nami stand in, Ann, a blue haired girl with a pet bird is featured. Ann obviously also shares similarities with Vivi and Karoo but the idea of the Roc being a bird who's blood can cure diseases got my attention. That coupled with the Big Egg on the Oro Jackson and Choppers dream makes me think this could make a appearance once again. Also interesting was the fact that one of Luffy's moves was called Moon Shot and the idea of flying was presented over and over again. And Nami was also the child of Pirates. Wonder if that'll ever come into play. Another thing that was quite apparent was the imagery that really made an impact and crossed over to the final version. Honestly, I'd love to examine the two one shots in relation to the real story one day if someone hasn't already.
Tumblr media
Okay tangent over, back to the main topic. Which is, first of all, Oda's take on the Marines. There's two things at work here. One is Oda's take on the Marines as an organization through Imu's actions. One that does not care about the collateral damage as long as their power in ensured. And the other is institutions of power perpetuating their power through terrorizing life and the environment it lives on. They're kind of the same idea but one directly criticizes policing while the other criticizes any position of power. We'll focus on the first idea and then talk about how it connects to the second.
Tumblr media
The idea has been hammered into us over and over again. The Marines exist to further themselves. It's the absolute and peak function of institutions of power. And also very antithetical to the idea of dreams, which terminate once you reach them. Each of our Strawhats have a dream that has an end goal. But as a result of this goal of self perpetuation, the Marines often overlook their secondary goal of keeping the peace. This idea started as early as Axe-Hand Morgans but gets properly implemented in Arlong Park where the Marines look away as they get paid. Arlong doesn't disturb them and they benefit by having him essentially be an agent for them. That's how you know peacekeeping is a secondary goal. It's secondary to the idea of the Marine's keeping power. Oda criticizes privateering and the warlord system through this hypocrisy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And if this was just one instance then it could be seen as just one bad egg. Like policing so often wants to put out. But a system of power relies on the methods they use to stay in power always staying relevant. And that's when we come to Marineford, skipping over a lot of incredibly relevant examples to this argument like Enies Lobby. I feel like ya'll can follow that tangent yourselves. Ohara, knowledge that would invalidate their power, etc, etc. I would go more into it but I don't want to write so much away from the current chapter and the fact is that Marineford appears to deal with my criticisms.
Tumblr media
So how does Marineford appear to address the criticism of self preservation and perpetuation? (And this next statement is me playing Devil's Advocate if it's not apparent) If the Marines cared about preserving themselves, why would they seek to end the age of piracy if the function that keeps them in power is dealing with Pirates?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because, my devil's advocate self (wow, thank you for the softball Roy(no problem, Roy)), Marineford was an attempt by the Marines to depose Pirates and crown themselves the key power in the One Piece world. Oda did the math for us, the three great powers used to be the Four Yonkou's, The Marines, and the Seven Warlords. Do the math there and the Pirates come out on top. Also Oda cleverly states the strength of freedom by showing how strong these scattered, unaffiliated, and free people are by having the Marines, a wholly organized military force, be only a third of the equation instead of dominating. Oda follows George Lucas's lead on the idea of Rebels and Vietnam. So, Marineford wasn't just an attempt to put an end to the age of pirates, it was also an attempt to declare the Age of the Marines. And they did the math too, regardless of what happened, they would come out on top. Whether they declared their age or the pirate age kept going, they would still be needed. As Billy Butcher once said, "Fucking Diabolical". Why Koby was so important to the narrative of the War was because he let you see the true colours of the Marines. One that did not care about collateral damage as long as they stayed in power. They sacrificed so many lives needlessly for that reason. And they might have possibly ended the pirate age if not for Whitebeard.
Tumblr media
So all of that just to get to this chapter. Sorry for the long ride, but thank you for sticking with me. This chapter horrifically signifies the Marine's policy, by way of Imu, of collateral damage through very familiar sights of rising sea levels. I will speak to the real world connections soon. But these scenes of climate devastation show how uncaring the Marines are to the suffering of their subjects. And Subjects they are. Some people say One Piece is pro monarchy but Oda positions the Marines, even clearer now with Imu, as Monarchs, and criticizes them. Oda isn't pro monarchy, he's showing us how these instituions of power supplanted the previous institutions. And while people suffer, the Marines launch yet another offensive to keep ahold of their power. It's blatant at this point. Where they could be helping people, they gather one of the biggest forces they have since Marineford and try to stop the release of information that could weaken their hold.
Tumblr media
And the scenes of Climate Devastation precede an even more horrific sight. Not one of collateral damage. Not of the uncaring nature. But of the direct cost of keeping their power. The sunken island kingdom of Lulusia. It's terrifying and it ties the collateral damage to the cost directly. It's Oda's way of pointing out that the consequences of their actions and the actions they take to stay in power don't affect them, but their subjects, the people they purport to protect.
Tumblr media
All of this is why I am so interested in the conclusion Oda reaches in terms of the Marines. It's the reason I support the Ancient Kingdom being a nation of Pirates, it supports the idea of dissolution of the Marines. Oda is clearly setting up Koby and the rest of his peers as the next generation of the Marines but up until Koby became the clear front runner of the Marines, I always thought the Marines were meant to dissolve. But Oda seems to be setting them up to reform in a new direction. There's not a lot I disagree with Oda on but this might be one. Either way though, I will appreciate the nuanced take that Oda so often hides under layers of shounen action.
Tumblr media
But now to get to the real world implications. The whole situation with Imu is such a startling reflection of our own world. Again my politics come into play here. The Marines and the Twenty Kingdoms purport to be equal and not ruled under anyone but it's revealed that all along Imu has ruled them. Which would be a stark contrast to our largely democratic nations, right? But then Oda uses the visual metaphor of climate change and his point is clear. While policing exists to self perpetuate, it also answers to the beck and call of billionaires and corporations. I'm sure the statistic of 100 companies being responsible for 71% of global emissions is a statistic you've heard before dear reader. The governments bend over backwards to lobbying from these corporations while the police enforce it on the base level. On a visceral and violent level. We never left the monarchy, we just got new rulers.
Oh no! I've revealed my personal politics. Ahh! But in all honesty, this is my blog and I want to be able to talk freely here so I'll say what's on my mind. I'll always try to be upfront when my biases show though. The reason I am so explicit about my political opinions is because a lot of people who talk about One Piece don't engage with the deeply political and radical ideas it has. And as a result, you get a neutered audience and a neutered discussion. Anyways, that was my very long and convoluted idea on Oda's representation of policing and related politics, especially in relation to this chapter. Now onto a breakdown of the actual chapter.
Tumblr media
So right away we see an interesting sight. Morgans has already positioned Luffy as the main character of this conflict. And as we later find out, the Marines approve. Knowing that this will be a much talked about event sheds a really interesting light on this. One, Morgans has made Luffy undeniable in the media in regards to whatever happens next. Two, something big is going to happen. Three, the Marines will probably want to disavow it. Four, Luffy's presence is going to have the opposite effect and solidify this event as if he wasn't presented in such a central light, the Marines would've been able to sweep it under the rug easier. Also while a lot of that is speculation, one more reaching bit of speculation I want to put forward is that whatever happens next is going to invalidate Lulusia's disappearance. Some major truth is going to be revealed and it's going to show how unnecessary these sacrifices that the Marines make are. This also only furthers my interest in Morgans. Who is he? What's his play? What are his goals and is he playing a game with the Marines? It seems he regularly withholds information but eventually plays it in an acceptable manner to the Marines. My take is that he's possibly a revolutionary who's doing his best to sway the tide in their favour. If you look at a lot of his moves, it suggests they're highly calculated for maximum effect under the Marines rule while also shifting the discussion more in favour to the Revolutionary's and their causes and setting up for future dissemination of information he's currently withholding. Or it could be entirely posible I am giving him too much credit. Next, Makino calling Luffy her baby's big brother. Another clue to deadbeat dad Shanks theory? Don't mind me here, just watering my pet theories.
Tumblr media
But next, as I mentioned before, we see the consequences of the Marine's actions. From the apparently mundane but heartbreaking in Kamabakka, to the loss of life through tsunami's and the loss of homes on other islands. It's horrific and centers on the very real horror of Climate Change. But the sea levels rising a meter is also horrific in another way. Just to show how much water has been displaced, it's almost five times as much as the sea level has risen over the past 100 years in the real world. I think I dove a lot into the real world side of things so I do want to indulge in the One Piece world for a bit.
Tumblr media
So first off, the connection to Enies Lobby is completely apparent. Enies Lobby has some connection to the Mother Flame and perhaps the Ancient Kingdom being there holds some weight? I think another thing that is interesting is that the water was displaced. Somehow the Mother Flame doesn't just create a hole, but an entire Void where the water can't take the space of. Something something Void century, the theory's not fully there yet. But what it also suggests is that maybe Lulusia isn't completely gone? Perhaps it's been sent to Davy Jone's Locker? There's so many pieces of evidence floating around that I'm sure I'm missing something or overlooking a key piece that ties everything together, because right now this feels like a major hint to the true nature of the world. Also this could be a key factor in One Piece's unique world, like the Calm Belt and the Red Line. Also one interesting line is, "had no parallel in recorded history." But perhaps the Void Century? Speculation abounds! But maybe I'll have a concrete theory in the coming days, who knows. The Truth is Out There. No, but really, I feel like one or a few of those massively popular and some not so popular theories are somewhere close to the mark. Like the One Piece being a log book or the destruction of the Red Line. There's so much that's valid that I can see it all happening.
Tumblr media
Another heartbreaking scene plays out a little bit after we see the Marine's massive fleet, with a small flashback to Vegapunk, Sentomaru and Kizaru all looking much younger and happier. Kizaru is such an interesting character. He apparently has Unclear Justice but in everything he does it's hard to understand what that actually means. Nature of the word I guess? But Aokiji was Lazy Justice, and that can be seen in that he seems to be taking the easy way out by falling in with Blackbeard but what does that mean for Kizaru? He seems happy in the past and now he is very much uncaring. He mentions he's a cog in the machine but there seems to be some wiggle room. Perhaps unlike his previous two comrades, Akainu and Aokiji, Kizaru is the only one who can change? Honestly I don't really have a bead on him. But I am fascinated. Like with many things.
Tumblr media
After that we get a recap and two key moments. The moment where Jay Garcia tells them to sink the escaping scientists is quite obvious and a parallel to Ohara and I think we've talked enough about direct actions, consequences, and collateral damage to get a rough gist of where that would go in reinforcing the themes Oda has set up in regards to the Marines. But the smaller moment of Jay Garcia remarking he likes what Morgans wrote is also key. The Marines hold some sway over the media, from withholding key information to actively enforcing violence but this is also an insight into how Morgans plays the game. He pacifies them but he also pushes his own agenda. A free media is key to citizens freedoms so it's really interesting how these two entities push and pull. I hope we get more insight into Morgans to see what Oda is actually trying to say because I'm curious.
Tumblr media
And now we finally get to the last few pages. York is at times terrifying and at others painfully stupid. Just my type of character. She reminds me a lot of Buggy, who first started off as terrifying before becoming our lovable clown boy. But this makes me want York in the crew so bad. I would love if Vegapunk and all of his satellites joined because it would be such an interesting dynamic. The Come Save me panel is also quite a hilarious inversion of "I want to Live" from Enies Lobby as York is asking the Marines for help this time. I love her confident blustering. It's peak One Piece. It's peak Oda. I love it so much.
Tumblr media
AND THEN FINALLY!!! OMFG THEY LOOK SO FUCKING COOL!!! I lost it so hard here. They're back and they look so badass! They look like a proper yonkou crew. This cutaway also hammers home how close we are getting to the end as Oda is skipping over some big fights. What this flash forward does let Oda do is that he can use it to do a small flashback chapter and recap key skipped over elements instead of going through them at a much slower pace in chronological order.
Tumblr media
One final thing. All the strawhats look so cool, but a really surprising thing I noticed was that Ussop was holding the phone where I would assume Sanji would be. It feels like Sanji has shed a lot of the baggage that came with being Mr.Prince after Whole Cake Island and Wano. Now he's enjoying himself in the background. This could also be setting up the central role Ussop is going to be taking in Elbaf. Ussop of course has employed trickery before but just in this particular case with it's callbacks to Enies Lobby, I would've assumed Sanji be the one pulling off this ruse. Anyways, that's all for today folks. If you've read this far, thank you so much for sticking through. I really appreciate it! See ya for the next one! (Gonna slink off now to watch 1071).

Note
1, 2, 6, and 8 for All's Fair 🥰
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Favorite scene or line?
I'll answer both!
Scene: Definitely the end of 'Gravity of It All,' where Andi and April are talking to the boys about saving Kirby on the fire escape. I think I aced the feeling I was going for, and I loved Andi taking April's hand and comforting her. I think I really aced her loyalty and her protectiveness over her best friend. 🩷
Line: Hmmm...I'm gonna cheat and say a few lines, from 'It's Nice To Have A Friend':
"Gah, if only she could love someone like me!" He exclaimed, then sighed to himself as he calmed down. "She'd make me the happiest turtle this side of the Atlantic...and I'd do everything to make her the happiest girl, no questions asked..." Out of instinct, he picked up the controller again, his gaze averting to it. "But, to be fair, Donatello, your feelings for her aren't gonna change the fact that she's always gonna be a friend to you. You know darn well that at the end of the day, even if she never loves you back, she's still gonna be your lab partner and especially your friend."
I really love this part, and this chapter, in particular. This is what separates canon Don from my Don; the latter, I feel like, is more emotionally mature and is more accepting of heartache - and clearly wants Andi regardless of the type of relationship - lovers, best friends, whatever. Canon Don can be a little too creepy with his feelings towards April (granted, the writers never really gave him a chance to experience heartbreak with April turning him down,) while I feel like my Don is more aware of the possibility that Andi wouldn't reciprocate his feelings, but as he said, he still sees her as a friend no matter what.
2. Did you have any ideas that didn't make the final cut?
I did! So without going into spoiler territory, let me explain:
Season 2's finale is gonna be a consecutive set of gut punches, we obviously know that. But along with Leo getting beaten half to death, Andi's also gonna have a fight with a recurring antagonist - who is gonna stab her and leave her to bleed out. This is still confirmed, but who finds her is different.
Originally, it was Donnie that was gonna find her. He was going to let his anxiety about her leaving April's apartment get the better of him and go searching for her, where he would find her bleeding out and seeing little snowflakes get on her body. He would frantically try and patch her up, before starting to sob and hit his fist against the rooftop asphalt in pain, all while freaking out who could've done this.
But I scrapped it for a different route - one that not only expands upon two other characters, but also makes Donnie patching her up have more sense to it, as he'll do it at April's apartment, where a first aid kit is readily available.
So in the final cut, Raph and Casey are the ones who find her right before they get to April's apartment. Raph is shocked and absolutely livid, immediately going to tie off Andi's wound to stop it from bleeding further with his bandana - all while fighting back tears at seeing his little sister like this (obviously they're not actually siblings, but their dynamic has already been established at this point.)
Casey is admittedly more shocked. He's never seen Andi be this vulnerable before, so to see it happen is crazy to him. He'll do his best to try and get her to talk to them and ask what happened to her (and even better, who did it,) but when Andi weakly tells them who (no spoilers as to who,) that's when she's goes unconscious. He'll look at Raph with confusion (like, 'who's she talking about?') and Raph will grimly tell him as he's picking up Andi - and admittedly, he's gonna feel guilty about assuming she's annoying because she just wants to be. Her life isn't all it's cracked up to be, and he's gonna gain a little bit of respect for her.
Granted, they're still not gonna be best friends, but there will be a mutual, almost grudging, kind of respect.
6. What character(s) do you find most difficult to write?
Hm...that's an interesting question. I think because she's the new addition to the cast and I have to imagine her part in each scene she's in, I'd have to say Andi, funny enough. It's only because I grew up with the canon story that I know it so well and I feel like I can read the minds of each character, but Andi's a different story, because all of her dialogue is my own and I have to consider her part in whatever scene she's in.
8. Which fic/headcanon do you feel most proud of?
By fic, I'm gonna interpret that as chapter 😅
So admittedly, I'm most proud of both 'The Very First Night' and 'It's Nice To Have A Friend'. I think both have really solid dialogue and action sequences, and have some of my favorite Andi moments. 'Very First Night' has Andi's concussion and her meeting Donnie for the first time, and 'It's Nice' has some really sweet Don/Andi moments, Andi being protective over April (I especially like her panicking over April leaving to storm the Kraang base,) and my favorite line in the series, 'The one who is called your mother wears the boots that are made for combat.'
And for headcanon? Probably the idea that Don and Andi are major fans of Stranger Things. Obviously the show wouldn't exist when the story takes place (All's Fair is in 2012, Stranger Things came out in 2016), but in my mind, they're both huge fans; constantly quoting their favorite scenes, commentating over each episode (giving theories, cheering or booing certain characters, etc.), and losing their minds when the new season comes out. And I'll finish it off with; every time a new season comes out, they claim the living room for themselves, get a ton of snacks, make a pillow fort for good measure, and binge the whole thing in one go.
----------
Lord, that was a lot 😅 But regardless, thank you for the ask! Love you ❤️

oh man, you into dmc too?! you even did a shit ton of achievements too. i'm looking forward to see if you have any mpreg/omegaverse head-cannons about the series. i always thought maybe dante should get pregnant with twins lol.
my favorite games in the series are dmc1 and dmc3 (dmc4 is okay i like nero but it's flawed in some areas gameplay-wise). i'm a huge fan of dmc, and i just get easily obsessed with these dysfunctional idiots lol. although the sparda bloodline isn't the most dysfunctional and fucked up family i've been obsessed with, that title rightfully belongs to the original dysfunctional family that i've been in love with since my childhood the Mishima clan from Tekken (Jin is one of my first ever crushes lol).
Oh yeah! I even named my cat after Dante (he's orange). Got into it initially around 2014 or 2015? It was sometime after the reboot was out, but not too long before 4 SE released.
I saw a review of the reboot (which included some footage of DMC1) and was like. Oh yeah. That series looks cool. I'd probably like that. Found the HD collection for PS3 at my local GameStop for like ten bucks and tore through all three games (yes, even 2) in like a week. Probably snagged the reboot on a Steam sale for cheap shortly after. Sadly dropped off after that until about a month ago when I finally got back around to 4 and played 5 for the first time (currently replaying 3 and 2, gotta get around to 1 soon). That's probably why it hasn't come up before now (I was intentionally avoiding the fandom for years because I didn't want spoilers for DMC5)
I'd say my rank order goes DMC3 = DMC5 > DMC1 > DMC4 = DmC and then DMC2 is in hell. Love 3 and 5 because I think they have the strongest gameplay and the strongest storytelling. DMC1 is just a good time. DMC4 is very fun and Nero is a silly lil guy, but the lack of development time really shows. Reboot is really solid as a game, though since I've played it so much I do wonder if there might have been some development issues as well. I think if they'd just decided to make it a spinoff (and rename the main characters) instead of a reboot then it wouldn't have gotten half the hate it wound up getting. I'm replaying 2 now just to see if it's more redeemable than I remember, but it deserves every bit of shit I gave it ten years ago lol. Though I will say I never bothered with Lucia's campaign before, and she's much more bearable to play compared to Dante. Wish they'd bring her back for an actually good entry
Dante and Vergil's dysfunctional AF relationship is definitely the biggest draw for me too! I've been talking people's ears off about it for like a month straight now. The moment that broke me and made me like Vergil is the bit at the end of DMC3 where he does that little smile after Dante reminds him of how they used to yell "jackpot!" all the time. What a dumbass, pretending like he doesn't love his little bro (then why do you say jackpot when you combo in 5 hmm hmmm HMMM!?)
I could probably keep going but I will restrain myself (for now)
As for omegaverse ideas, I haven't really developed that many of my own. I think all the Sparda boys should be omegas tho. But if one must be an alpha I think it's Vergil, just because I think it would be very amusing if part of his complex was due to not wanting his omega twin to be stronger than him (and then getting his shit kicked in by his omega son at the end of 5). We could get into some good toxic masculinity (alphalinity?) territory there. And uhhhh Kyrie should get Nero pregnant. That's basically as far as I've gotten on my own
I have been reading a LOT of fanfic though and people do come up with some interesting stuff I'd probably use. Like blood drinking being an explicit part of the dynamic/ritual of mating/pregnancy process, the hardcore possessiveness, and power hierarchy stuff. Good shit

We just get an event about what Belial did while he was on the run
Spoilers, he travelled the skies so as to not stay in one place for too long, seduced a different person each week and in between getting laid a bunch he stared wistfully at the sky and thought about Lucilius and reminded himself of what he was doing this all for. And then he immediately turns around and picks his next victim
Rinse and repeat for several hundred years
And let's not talk about the mayhem he caused during the war
Belial's Hot Girl Summer (2000 years in the run)
But honestly i'd be so down for an event about that. you'd also see Beelzebub come in and out of his life multiple times at different times, like, they're crossing path and coming up with plans that end up being impossible to make because Lucifer is too keenly aware of what they're doing, so they're forced to move on their separate ways until another opportunity shows itself.
There would also be flashback to his life with Lucifer and him building even more resentment about how Lucifer officially abandoned him the moment he turned his back on Lucilius. Reminiscing about how Lucilius's face showed a smile while he was being killed, and the direct way Belial felt about it (that he hinted at in his quest i think).
See him having hot girl summers on each major island, and him coming back centuries later and see that all the people he had met back then have died since. Building up to how he came to think "if primals get a mortal to understand them, they will lose them to their mortality eventually and you'll be alone again". Like in the first century of his run he's actually perhaps letting a few people closer to his heart that he would allow nowadays, and the hitting realization just after one century of all he's losing just makes his bonds more and more shallow.
Him during the war, watching as new primals are made and toyed with by their creators and abandoned when things don't go to plan anymore. Perhaps him meeting a couple primals, but it's too late for him now to try to build anything out of it.
Extreme HC but hear me out: what if after the war once there were primals on all the island (and especially with what we know of Lucifer keeping an eye on them all) meant this was the moment Belial could no longer be free to just walk around?
Primals who have made pact with their islands can be territorial, and Lucifer's watchful eye would only mean that Belial would so much more easily be seen and remembered. You would think that having suddenly a group of new immortals who aren't associated with Lucifer would finally allow Belial to cheat this loneliness that he has been eaten with since he has started to frequent mortals as his only way to get connections, but instead he's just even lonelier than ever because he cannot make bonds with people who would remember him enough to eventually go against his plans, and get Lucifer's attention on them.
And he's here watching as those primals either get to learn to love their purpose or be freed from their purpose because Lucifer and Cosmos are working so hard on them being freed and he grows more and more bitter about how his world is becoming smaller because Lucifer is now caring about something he had never helped Belial through at the time he needed it, and now it's too late.
Like you'd have Belial regularly come back to Auguste in the first few hundred years, having a literal hot girl summer, but after the war left multiple primals there, especially Leviathan and Poseidon who are much more watchful, and suddenly Belial feel like he can't be here anymore.
so more and more isolated by the paradox of finally having people who could understand you, but it's now too late to look for understanding.
And all of that while he's causing all sort of mayhem and making situations worse on purpose and collecting one night stands. And once in a while you see him just talk to Lucilius's head he still keeps close. Constantly bringing back to the macabre of this love he cannot let die, a head rotting in his mind if not literally, like his whole vision of the world keeps rotting and rotting when every fun he had on the run gets stained by mortal dying and his world becoming smaller the more Lucifer is watching.
We can also have him try to look for Lucilius's lab notes (like the ones Cagliostro finds in 000 which seem to be out of reach/knowledge of Lucifer). Trying to piece together a plan on how to bring Lucilius back and awake Avatar, and the slow realization that he needs to kill Lucifer if he wants his lover back and all of the implications that comes with it.
And all while he causes mayhem. The event would need to feature new characters in the first half (except for flashback or Beelzebub), but by the time of the War, he'd probably run into primals we know, but with whom he hadn't made powerful bonds enough for them to remember him, as to explain why no one knew of his existence by the time of wmtsb. (except perhaps newer primals to our rooster like Enyo or some who have been in slumber for so long we haven't/hadn't met them yet like the Gorgon Sisters)
.... i made it a little too dramatic perhaps but what can i say, Belial's angst gets to me. it could be such a cool and macabre event.
and by the end of it we forcefully have him join our crew so it ends on a good n- oh come on a skyfarer can dream,

Soft Shells and Donnie
⚠️WARNING: rottmnt movie spoilers ahead!!
I have many thoughts! So many thoughts! Before I get into them just a quick couple of things:
All image IDs are in alt text
I'm able-bodied, and I've been concious of that and done my best to stay in my lane, but please let me know if I've overstepped! Edit: I'm no longer able-bodied lol, but this is still something I feel I dont have much authority on
I'm just some guy, this is my personal interpretation of this, I'm not trying to say anyone else's opinion is wrong!! I just wanna share my thoughts
Okay alright let's get into it!
A lot of people interpret Donnie's soft shell to be a fatal weakness or an analogy for a disability, and I disagree! At least, in canon. I've seen a lot of content exploring his shell as a disability that I've absolutely loved!! I'm not talking about fanon or headcanons or AUs or whatever - this entire post is in the context of canon. I love it when people explore things that aren't touched on in canon (and I wish it WAS touched on more in the show) I just wish the series handled it better than what they did.
I'm also not saying that having a soft shell would not be a weakness or not make him vulnerable in certain situations! It's just I've seen people talking about it in a really black-and-white way; Donnie has a soft shell, therefore he's a lot more fragile and weaker than his brothers. I think it's a lot more nuanced than that.
For a start, Donnie's shell is MEANT to be soft- he's a spiny softshell turtle. This isn't a case of an injury or something else that's made his shell like that, it's just how it is. I don't think it's fair to say that his shell is inherently a weakness, in the same way that April, a human, isn't inherently weak because she doesn't have a shell. There are both pros and cons!! In the same way that there are both pros and cons to having a hard shell!
I've seen some posts that really rubbed me the wrong way, saying things like "Donnie's probably scared of beach balls because one hit his shell when he was younger and it bruised him" and similar, I can't recall anything more specific and I'm not going to go looking for them. It just. Really annoys me?? It's borderline infantilizing.
In the movie, Donnie's soft shell and how it could affect him in battle is addressed for the first time in the entire series - if I recall correctly, that is. Its been a while since I've done a full watch through, but I'm pretty certain.
I'm not a fan of how they handled it in the movie because of that. It seemed really out of the blue, and out of character, especially for Mikey and Donnie. All throughout the show, it's never been an issue or cause of concern, and now suddenly it IS. It's suddenly a HUGE problem for Donnie. If you're going to have a disabled-coded character, then COMMIT. Include it during the entire series, not just for shock value and to create tension.
Tumblr media
In the first scene, Donnie saves Mikey from being crushed by crouching over him. His battle shell is crushed, he's left without protection, and him and Mikey panic about it.
THIS scene makes sense to me, this scene I really liked! Their reaction makes sense, because in this situation, Donnie IS vulnerable. The ceilings caving in, the Krang are absolutely viscous, and they're losing the fight with no way out. At all. Not a great time to have ANY fleshy parts unprotected.
Once again it was a little jarring, just because it was literally the first time it's been addressed on screen. But that's whatever, nothing's perfect etc etc. I'd prefer it to be included late than not at all.
Tumblr media
It was THIS scene that really irked me. Donnie's asked Mikey to take off his battle shell for him, so that he can fully be submerged into the Technodrome.
Yes, taking off his battle shell in enemy territory is a cause of concern, but no where near to this extent. Donnie has fought many times without it with no issues. They're not even actively fighting here - Donnie's about to be absorbed into a cocoon of tentacles (which was so so gross shdjdm). Mikey being this worried makes no sense to me, and it's kinda insulting to Donnie to be honest! It's ignoring his past experiences, ignoring the strength and skill he has been shown to have.
I've gone through and watched all the scenes in the show where Donnie doesn't have his battle shell on (once again I might have missed some, but I'm pretty sure I got them all).
Mascot Melee
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was a pre-planned move! Donnie wasn't forced into a defensive position, he put himself there in order to use his battle shell to blast the enemy back, and exposing his shell. He's already got another battle shell on standby waiting for him, so while it was a risk, it was a calculated one, and a very small one at that. His soft shell taking a hit would hurt, yes, but not seriously injure him.
The Purple Jacket
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His battle shells have all been stolen and he's PISSED, but he's not worried at all about having to go out and fight the Purple Dragons without the protection they provide.
Insane on the Mama Train
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the big one!!!
Donnie purposefully destroys his battle shells and walks into a fight he KNOWS will be dangerous, against enemies he knows are strong. Not only does he hold his own against them, but he kicks absolute ass!!! He knows his limits, his strengths and weaknesses, and he knows how to fight in the way that's best for him, specifically. His soft shell is not holding him back, he's adapted, he just has to fight in a way that's a bit different than his brothers!!
Also his brothers and Splinter are not shown to be worried or concerned for him at all during this episode. They know he can handle himself.
End Game
Tumblr media
This would've been a great opportunity to explore how having a soft shell would affect him in certain situations, but it's not addressed at all. They all get buried under rubble, Raph asks if everyone's okay, and they all get up and walk it off.
Many Unhappy Returns
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once again this would've been PERFECT to explore how having a soft shell would effect him!! You can SEE the damage Shredder did to his battle shell - and his battle shell is not weak!! It's made of some pretty strong stuff!!
That SHOULD'VE hurt him, in a way that it wouldn't have hurt his brothers, and they could've done so much with this and they didn't and I'm MAD.
Todd Scouts
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's not a lot to add here, the only thing to point out is that, again, Donnie isn't worried about his shell being unprotected, and neither are his brothers. I do find it funny how the second he's separated from his tech he goes completely feral I love him so much <3
the ONLY time his soft shell was EVER actually addressed was in Donnie's Gifts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And it wasn't about his shell, not really. It was about him being sensitive emotionally, not physically, and it was just a play on words.
They could've handled it a lot better in the movie. Yeah, it's tough to do when you're trying to add something that didn't exist in the series before hand, but there were so many ways they could've done it.
This is a bit of a sidebar but I never see anyone talk about this and I think about it literally all the time SO:
Donnie having a soft shell can also give him some advantages that his brothers don't have!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From Todd Scouts and The Purple Jacket. He's very flexible!! A great skill for a ninja!! He can sneak through smaller spaces, find more places to hide, and would be great in stealth missions!!
Because of his smaller, flatter shell, he can pass as human more easily! He was the first of his brothers to go in public alone, and without a full-body disguise. To a HIGHSCHOOL no less he is braver than me.
I also want to point out that having hard shells doesn't automatically make his brothers infallible. Yes, Donnie's shell can be hurt more easily, but he would be able to take a lot of damage before it's fatal. For his brothers, with their hard shells, if anything managed to hurt them, it would be very, very serious. A cracked or broken shell could very easily kill them.
There's a reason why, in the movie, Donnie protected Mikey from the falling rubble. That very likely would've crushed Mikey's shell, and that would've killed him. Donnie's battle shell and normal shell have some give to them, they allowed him to take the hit while getting away without being horrifically injured.
It's also very lucky Raph's shell got punctured through the lip, and not closer to the centre. That would've been very bad!!!
(If anyone wants to read about shell trauma, then the IDW comics are right there - Donnie's shell gets smashed, he almost dies, and has to wear a prosthetic, it's so fucked up omg)
But yes that concludes my essay on why I didn't like how the movie handled Donnie having a soft shell, and why I don't like how a lot of the fandom treats him. Thank you and goodnight it is 2am

CONGRATULATIONS FOR 3K!!!! i am really happy for you! i love your writing and i believe you deserve each of your followers.
please, headcanons for jujutsu kaisen! i'd like king of curses sukuna, where he marries the reader, which is a princess from another continent to expand his territories (we all know that if sukuna wants territories he would just take them by force, he is the king after all, but that's just a detail) — unaware that he would find a tough woman, who does not like the idea of marriage and hates him. it would be funny to have some dynamics queen x king. like hate sex; an important dinner with the court and they start throwing food at each other; the reader doesn't like the idea of concubines and send them away; how would he react? how did they fall in love? you don't have to write about everything i said, choose tree of them by the rules, but just seeing this idea here would be incredible! oh, and she/her pronouns please. thank you so much!!!
<3
a/n:  I……….. love this. I really hope I did the ask justice!
Tumblr media
Well firstly, he probably takes a wife because he needs someone to clean the temple, and he’s sick of the town’s sacrifices. And what better for him than taking more land! That’s where you come in, lovely princess Y/n of the northern continent!
He was sure you would be some frail, shy little lamb that would do anything he says. Like a little maid for him to order around.
So his first opinion of you was that you were going to be a bore. And, in his defense, you gave him no reason to think otherwise. The first day you were there, you didn’t say a single word… to anyone. Not even a maid. So he really thought he would just kill you and tell everyone that you went missing.
He tried, on the sending night in the mansion he invited you to a diner with him. (aw, your first dinner as a married couple!) well- that’s if you had bothered to show up. For an hour, 12 minutes, and 17 seconds he waited for you to arrive in the dining hall. He was just fed up. How dare you? Did you know who he was? What he could do in a split second?
He was at your room door within seconds--- since you both refused to sleep in the same room-- and you opened the door like you hadn’t done a thing.
“Where the fuck were you?” -- he was already barging his way into your room, you calmly closed the door and waltzed back to your couch. Where he assumed you had spent your time before he came. “When I invitee you to dinner, you will be there”
“And if I don't want to?”
“Excuse me?” He was shocked. Angered. Deadly. Turned on? He really didn’t know but he was truly infuriated you even spoke back to him, never mind questioned his authority.
“I said,” you sighed. sling over the arm of the couch, tilting your head to the Demon before you, “what if I don't want to? I had no intention to entertain you over dinner this evening, nor do I any other time. So if you are here to berate me or spout about your authority, I suggest you take your leave.”
Spoiler alert (not really, just the expression) - you guys fucked until the sun came up, all over the same couch.
Somehow this became a common occurrence. Him doing something o annoy you, you doing something back, then taking your anger out on the other in a night full of moans and the sound of skin slapping.
And you held your word too, you didn’t show up to anything. But you did start sending people to tell him you wouldn’t be coming and repeatedly told him how disgusting you thought he was and how you hated him. Eventually, he was just fed up, he didn’t care what you thought of him and if you were only going to fuck him when you were angry, he would just firn another lady to fuck.
And, lord knows you hate him, but you were fucking married. And if you really hated one thing, it was infidelity. Your father had multiple concubines and you saw what it did to your mother and you would be damned if you let the same happen to you.
“Who the fuck is this, Sukuna?’ you were livid. The bastard looked so proud of himself, having some random commoner on his lap.
“This is Yui. I plan to make her a concubine this coming Sunday.” in all honesty, you should have expected this. A true heartless monster he was. You knew all about his womanizing way and how many women he went through, and you couldn’t exactly say he couldn’t have a concubine.
You really were stuck between a rock and a hard place. Reminded of your mother, you take the action you wish she did, “Fine, but if I see her- in any sense- I will have her head.”  his laugh echoed down the hallway until you reached your wing.
And true to your word, only two months later, she was seated in your seat at the dinner table. Unfortunately for her she never got to see the rest of the meal- a new lesson was learned, your warnings were not to be ignored.
Now, there was one event, not even you could evade; the monthly council dinner party. The most annoying party either of you had ever been to.
It was boring and was clearly just a hoax for nobles to get in your good graces. But, somehow, you both bonded over how much you hated it. You spent the whole time making fun of people’s outfits and how fancy all the food was- small portions really are the worst.
“Who let her walk out of the house like that?” you laughed into your wine glass. Sukuna doing the same, eyes darting to a woman fake laughing somewhere in the corner of the room. Clad in all brown the woman was an eyesore at best.
“The same person who allowed Dutchess Haruknuka out in that hat.”
You guys really just spent the night fooling around and talking shit. It was also the time you started playing games with him, predicting who would finish their food first, seeing who could catch more cheese cubes in their mouth, how much wine you could down in one go.
You still held a strong resentment against him, but he was becoming more and more tolerable.
So, falling in love wasn’t really falling. It was more like a crash through a glass store window into a china shop.
It didn’t happen often, but the mansion gets attacked by some “heroic” people trying to save the people from the demon king.
But this was the first time they had directly attacked your wing of the mansion. It was late before he heard a word about the attack, rushing over to protect his queen- when he began to call you that he didn’t know. The sight that greeted him was you fighting off grown men- covered I their blood, with barely a scratch, though he knew you beginning to be fatigued.
Just as you struck another man down, you let your guard down and was open to a blow to the back of your head, if he hadn’t stepped in the shielded you with his own body- the man falling dead at your feet.
Something in your eyes told him that protecting you with his life would become a pretty common occurrence.
A tiny little headcanon bonus:
Your first baby was a son and when he first learned to walk Sukuna would push him down every time he stood up near him and the only way you could get him to stop was by throwing baby toys at him.

SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE CINNAMONROLLS WHO HAVEN'T READ THE CHAPTER ! Now I wonder who is "God". Sakura ? Natsuhiko ? Maybe God doesn't even exist and everything was a lie. Does Hanako know Sakura is trapped in the school and that she assigned Hakubo as No.6 ? It's counterproductive for someone who wants to be free from this school. I hope the next chapters will answer my questions and that we will know more about Natsuhiko :)
I believe there is a god. There is no certainty that the god Amane talked about is Sakura, if so that's okay with me.I have 4 versions
The problem was that Sakura could be lying. 1) She was lying 2) She Actually is that god that would explain why Yorshiros trapped her in school 3) she works for the said god 4) Was she human in the past, consecrated or assigned to a sentence, then merged with this god?
When it comes to Sakura, I'm really not sure about these theories, AidaIro might as well catch us in a trap this way. Because we have a lot of conflicting information about Sakura She lied now whether at party tea to Nene that they were similar and that she was a human … all this is strange in her case and it is confusing to me, but even if it is 100% confirmed that she is a god, I will not be surprised . From the beginning, I suspected that we did not see Sakura's true potential and that it could turn out to be really dangerous. As for my thoughts, I take them with distance. I will wait for what AidaIro shows us. At this moment, it is difficult to say anything. Natsuhiko … I'm not saying that he can't be a god, and it seems to me the least likely because he got the necklace from Sakura. I can believe that Tsukasa has/maybe? a god within him. He is the only one of all who has been able to kill the third mystery in his territory, and it should be impossible! I also believe that each of the mysteries has powers from god.
There are so many gods in this series that it's hard to tell. I really want to know what's going on, but I know we'll have to wait.
Does Amane know … I suppose so … he has to know something, but history so far shows that they don't know each other, but Amane doesn't speak much either, it's hard to get anything out of him. We don't know his thoughts, so I suppose he might know Sakura and it wasn't revealed to us. Only what I know now is in Chapter 92, Amane is really unaware of what is about to happen,on the other hand, Sakura said she doesn't know what will really happen to Natsuhiko, and in the next chapter, Sumire says that Sakura wants to return everything as it once was, and mysteries are unnecessary. It's hard for me to say anything, since we got such strange denials and it does not make sense at the moment and what is the truth, I think that the next chapters will show us. We just have to wait
Honestly, Anon, I'd like to know more about the twins' past. What happened? Who was beating Amane and why he killed Tsukasa and wants to know more about Sakura too. If we knew Natsuhiko's future, maybe we would also know Sakura's past? Who knows? I doubt your questions will be answered in chapter 94 :). But once we get to know the questions for our answers, we just have to wait, wait patiently.
I know I couldn't help you to clear up your doubts, and my answers are chaotic. It's hard to tell me anything now. After all, the chaos I gave you here you understood me and The only thing I pointed out from chapter 93 is that we have to be patient and wait for what the next chapters will show(I know that I am repeating myself, but this is to sum up my thoughts)
