Discontent
You create from discontent. Most of your life has been spent being uncomfortable in your own skin. This body is just another house that's never felt like home. You don't know how to be at ease in this world or this life. Art is a way of running away, of forgetting yourself and escaping to a more comfortable place. To cope with an unhospitable reality, you create more welcoming worlds to consume your work and your waking hours. But the foundation of your art has always been your discontent with the real world and your life within it. Lurking behind the inviting scenery you dream of is the desperate desire to be anywhere but here. It is a world constructed as a respite from this one. Such vivid fantasies are the dream of one who considers reality a prison.
I just found this quiz and it’s, phenomenal
#Worst part is that this ain't wrong#When I say I hate myself I actually mean it#I could rip my flesh off my bones and put on a new coat of paint#Or try to change my upbringing#And I would still loathe myself#So I make a rt to make others happy#That way they don't feel like this#Or if they do I can help keep those thoughts away#I don't want anyone to feel this way it sucks#I'll cry myself to sleep goodnight honk mimimimi

since you’ve said no one has asked this of you,, could you please write an absolutely fucked up and depraved drabble??
pretty please 🥺
omg im sorry i didnt mean it that way. i just meant whenever i get a request for smth fucked up and depraved its never w the wording "heres a challenge for u" bc thats just my default drabble style😭😭😭 BUT YES I CAN !!!!! I JUST HAD A GOOD TALK W MY FRIEND ABT A MESSED UP THING . ENJOY
tw vivisection, gore, blood, nsfw, medical setting, wound fingering
Whumper made the incision precisely and carefully, with the steady hands of an experienced surgeon. Well, self-trained surgeon. They didn’t like to toot their own horn, really, but they had gotten quite good at the craft despite never having received any formal education on it. They had read all the books they could get their hands on, they had practised tirelessly… and now they were putting real surgeons to shame. But they didn’t like to brag.
This one didn’t need all the caution, though. Whumpee was immortal, so all the safety measures like disinfecting the scalpel were just routine, something Whumper did absentmindedly before they started on any new project. The poor thing was whimpering on the operating table, biting down on the cloth in their mouth so hard that Whumper thought their pointed teeth might go through it. That would’ve been a shame. Tears were streaming down their flushed cheeks, and Whumper made no effort to wipe them away, too focused on the work at hand.
More of a passion project, actually.
They folded back the flesh, pushing flaps of skin out of the way like it was nothing more than a curtain to peek behind. Bones fell away under their trusty saw and hammer, and Whumpee just wailed, wailed until their throat was too hoarse to continue. There it was, their heart, their immortal, ever-beating heart, one they could rip out and crush in their hand, yet the next day it would be right where it belonged. They wondered, distantly, whether Whumpee had wished for a more permanent death by now.
Whumper lowered the bloody scalpel to one of their thick arteries, making the smallest cut they could without compromising their plan. They needed it to be a small cut. Tight.
They slowly slipped a finger inside, testing the waters and making Whumpee twitch under their touch. It was slick with the freshest blood their body had to offer, warm with life itself, stretching readily to accommodate Whumper. It was inviting. It was perfect. They pulled back and took their surgical glove off, yet another unnecessary precaution they had taken to protect someone who couldn’t die of infection, and dove right back in with their bare hand this time.
The feeling of their skin against the inside of Whumpee’s artery was something indescribable. They pushed it in slowly, feeling around, exploring. The subject’s muffled pleas faded into the background as they kept moving their hand, pulling out, then pushing back in again, enjoying the familiar viscosity of their blood coating them. Could they fit another finger? Was that too greedy? Too eager? They couldn’t resist.
It was an even tighter fit and Whumpee’s thrashing only intensified. Ironically, the thing causing them so much distress was the very same one keeping their blood in their body despite their torn open pulmonary artery. It ran slow, sluggish even, the thick drops finding little space to squeeze past the doctor’s invasive fingers.
Whumper licked their lips, exhaling shakily. They couldn’t pull their fingers out, that would’ve come with the risk of their patient bleeding to death within seconds. Yes, that was the only reason they kept doing it. They weren’t enjoying it that much, they were merely leaving their fingers inside until they thought of a solution. They weren’t stroking the wall of Whumpee’s artery at all. They were just thinking of the best way to reverse the damage so Whumpee could heal faster. And while they were thinking… they just had to keep the wound blocked.

awhile ago I made a little poem thing and personally i’m rather proud of it so I figured Tumblr could be a good place to post it! :))
Tw: Heavy body horror, vivid language, heavy gore, violence, torture, um consensual cannibalism, toxicity. Pls be warned and safe. Several people have given visceral reactions to some of the language and showed that it disturbed or disgusted them and while that was intentional to help push the message, I want to make a clear warning of it.
Anyway here it is :DD pls give me thoughts, constructive critiques, or interpretations!
You carve away layers of my soft skin.
A strangled cry escapes my lips as your gentle hand strokes my hair and tenderly wipes the tears that cascade down my hollow cheeks like a stone rolling down its mountain side.
You whisper honey coated praises, telling me how you love me as that gentle hand rubs reassuring circles into my shoulder as a reminder that it will all be ok.
Droplets of my blood; droplets of my very life force pour out onto the polyester of your white sweatshirt sleeves, staining them a deep red as my strained heart desperately pumps blood into my veins.
New puddles stain the sleeves, meeting dozens more rusty pink splotches that litter your clothes.
Your deft hand works quickly, dipping the silver blade into my flesh as it rips through layers of meat and fat while the strips of my supposed protection fall to the ground.
You lift a bloodied graft of my meat off the floor and place it to your soft lips, allowing your tongue to rub across my leaking plasma and savoring the taste of my agony. The strip slips past your teeth as you work your incisors into the chewy flesh, grinding it to a pulp and swallowing it, allowing me to enter your being as you feed off my life.
A mass of meat, veins and blood form below us; my ivory bones beginning to show as you carve me like a thanksgiving dish.
Your darkened eyes stare down at me, a mix of undying love and unending hunger fill them as you stare at me as if I was nothing more than a piece of meat.
I cry out sobs of agony, begging you through my muffled mouth to please end this torturous pain that you have put me through.
As you carve up the last peice of my body, you whisper how you love me, raising the steely blade above your head, and at last plunging it into my heart.
My eyes cloud over and the room fills with a deafening silence; my bones glisten softly with a pink bloody glaze.
Your eyes look away from my face, frozen forever in agonizing fear, and glance at the mound of my mangled corpse lying on the ground.
You lick your lips and begin to dig in.
#poetry#poem#i am severely mentally ill#lmao it’s ok tho it’s funny#I wrote this mid breakdown#Abusive relationships#abuse awareness#tw everthing tbh#grammar is kinda bad#sorry

Okay so I have a personal head cannon that demon hunters are a thing in the Obey Me World. So I wondering if you could do the brother and undatables finding out that a bunch on demon hunters kidnapped MC while they were in human world because they found out of MCs packs. Your writing is so good, honestly this is one of my favorite Obry Me accounts.
Thank you! It gives me pride for being one your favourites!
I love expanding the world of obey me and idea of hunters is one that seems realistic in a world of demons and angels and just in general, really interesting. Before I joined writing on Tumblr I was actually a Wattpad author and one my books was about a monster hunter who got in a love square with Frankenstein's monster, Dr Jekyll and Mr hyde
Never finished it but it was fun concept so any type of supernatural hunter already just wins in my department
Do I have a thing for making the demons violent and showing off a more aggressive and bloody side to them? Yes, I really do
Warning: kidnapping, gore-ish, violence, religious themes, angst, guns, mentions of torture, long
Your breathing grew heavier as the crushing feeling on your chest continued to grow, your heart slamming against your ribcage. Begging to be released from its suffocating prison. If it weren't for the lump in your throat you were sure your heart would of leapt out of it.
your feet pounded against the street beneath you; you were running faster than you’ve ever ran before. How did it get to this situation? well, you didn't have time to reminisce but to make a long story short - a group of demon hunters revealed themselves to you and are now chasing you down as you refused to cooperate. they wanted to use you for your pact and you didn’t want to be involved, especially seeing as they were literal demon hunters! they were going to kill your friends!
but sadly, fate was not on your side. your ankle twisted to the side, pain shooting up from your ankle all the way to your knee. rope surrounded you, you thrashed against the net as your body slammed to the floor. The last thing you saw was the hunter tower above you, the butt of their gun coming down on your head.
when you finally woke up you already had a gun back in your face, you tried to escape but you were forced backwards. chains rattling behind you. you looked behind you to see you were chained to a cross, both your wrists and ankles were bound.
Your situation only grew worse when the hunter Infront of you snarled down at you. Demanding you used your pacts, spitting on your face. You thrusted forward, matching their snarl as you bared your teeth at them. Demon mannerisms have rubbed off on you but it wasn't doing you any good. The gun clicked, unlocking off safety mode.
Your heart sunk immediately.
"Use your pact or else."
You could only hear the blood rushing through your ears. Trembling as their finger slowly pressed on the trigger. You knew they were going to kill the brother's if you did but you were terrified that were going kill you. You shook your head, letting it hang low as fat tears rolled down your cheeks.
You kept refusing to use your pact and summon the seven demons. Every time you refused they'd hurt you; kicking you, slamming the guns butt down on your head, throwing your head back on the cross. You could barely hear what they said, they just kept screaming at you. Calling you filth and a traitor to mankind.
Despite all the pain you were grateful they weren't killing you. You just had to keep pushing your luck. You couldn't summon them no matter how scared you were. You refused. You couldn't do it.
But fortunately, Magic doesn't always act the way you want it to. Your soul - your entire being BEGGED to be saved. You wanted to save yourself, you desperately tried to spark at the chains and remember any spells but your mind was at a blur. nothing was processing.
You cried out when you saw the large magic circle appear on the floor. You tried desperately to close the summoning circle, cursing to yourself. You demanded your magic to listen to you but it wouldn't work. The brothers symbols appearing in each part and soon enough, they appeared in full demon form.
"FIRE-!"
Lucifer:
his wings blocked at the rapid bullets going their way
His whip quick to come out and wrap around a hunters wrists, he twisted his hand around it and pulled the poor hunter towards him
"This isn't very welcoming, now is it? How bold."
the hunter went flying, the brothers dodging in time
Mammon:
He smirked, a bullet between his teeth and more between his fingers
Steam was drifting off them but he just crushed the metal bullets with no other thought
"How nice of ya to give me a gift~! You really know how to make a demon happy."
He spat out the last bullet and it went flying, hitting a hunters eye
Levithan:
The ground shook beneath you, many hunters missing their shot at his brothers
A crab like beast bursted out of the ground, sewer sludge splattering on the floor
It swiped and grabbed at the hunters, screams filling the space, bodies snipped in half in seconds
"You're all worse than Normies! You took the wrong human from the wrong demons!"
he back hand slapped a hunter that approached him, growling
Satan:
He leapt off the crab, grabbing the nearest hunter to him by the head
Their neck snapped to an odd angle and they immediately dropped
"This isn't how I expected to spend my evening but you took my reading partner....you won't receive my mercy."
He shoved his clawed hands through their chests and spines, ripping out the first organ or bone he could grab
He didn't lie, he didn't show an ounce of mercy
Asmodeus:
His wings flapped behind him, he dragged his claws along the backs of the hunters he flew past
Giggling as they screamed in pain
"Aww I'm just flirting, was it really that bad?"
He pouted before swiping at their faces
Shoving another hunter towards his more violent brother
Whilst he had no issue letting himself get wild, he saw how scared you looked
He didn't want to get too dirty or else how could he comfort you?
Beezlebub:
Beel could be ruthless if TRUELY provoked
And hearing your whimpers when he arrived stirred furious anger within him
When he finally saw your beaten state it made him snap
Hungry for blood
Hunters head being crushing with ikr hand
"You don't even look appealing to eat, you're worst than Solomon's cooking."
He took a chunk out of one hunter when they aimed at one of his brother's
Refusing to let his family get hurt
Belphegor:
We all know he's cold blooded
So it was no surprise blood was gushing everywhere
His dream dust filling his area and nightmares surrounded the hunters
"They're mine....and yet you stole them and hurt them, you're disgusting."
hunters would disappear into the mist and not come back out alive
Bodies littering the floor as he swooped through
As soon as things got gory your eyes were sealed shut, trying to shut out the sound of flesh tearing and screams of agony. Whimpering as you thought about the brothers smiling faces, how gentle and soft they usually were. Chanting in your head that they were here to save you, you were safe, they're still them.
You screamed as your body was lifted off the platform you were on, the cross rising. You were now fully crucified; feet slipping as you struggled against the cross. The chains were barely supporting your weight so you just dangled, fear rising in you.
Mammon charged towards you, his brothers continuing to fight against the hunters. He ripped the chains out of the cross, you fell right into his arms, your heart thumping against your chest.
"look at what they did to you....I shouldn't of protected ya, I hope you'll learn to forgive me - they busted you up real bad."
He caressed your cheek; eyes glaring at your busted lip and the many bruises forming on your face. You winced when his hand touched the side of your head, he recoiled feeling something warm on his palm. It was blood. YOUR blood.
He almost broke down right there and then, looking at how hurt you were - he couldn't handle it.
"thanks...that makes me feel so much better." You let out a pained laugh, hoping to make him feel better.
He only frowned more, softly rubbing his thumb on your cheek. It was obvious he was struggling to keep himself calm. You held his hand, showing off your best smile.
"i don't blame any of you, the hunters did this, okay? You didn't do anything wrong."
Your sweet moment was ruined when the 6 brothers backed all bumped into the two of you. Forming a protective ring as the hunters surrounded them; it seemed like there was no end.
You raised your shaky hands, magic swirling around your wrists and to your fingertips. You barely had enough strength to put on a little light show but you weren't going to just let the demons defend you without even trying to help.
It your lucky day as suddenly, the hunters hideout doors bursted open. You could barely make out the outside but there was blood coating every wall, steam coming off dead bodies. Soon enough four figures emerged and your heart almost leapt out of your throat.
Lucifer growled as he strangled a hunter, turning his attention to the new comers.
"I'm surprised you came so late, espically with the company with you, my lord."
Diavolo laughed, his hands coming together as his magic flared brightly. Barbatos had his arms behind his back, smiling to all of you.
"Forgive our tardy timing, these hunters are determined."
"don't forget us, though I may of caused us to take our time, it's been so long since I've fought this many people."
Solomon adjusted his sleeves, his many pacts glowing against his skin. Simeon, unlike the others, looked completely untouched by the chaos. Smiling as he kept his hands together.
"I beg for your forgiveness (Y/N), It appears we've angered Lucifer more than the hunters have."
UNDATEABLES↓
Diavolo:
Time slowed down within the room, only the hunters going still
Their movements frustratingly slow
"I think it's best to clean up this situation whilst you take (Y/N) back, they've seen enough."
He looked at Lucifer, both men nodding
The prince moved freely through the frozen room, eyeing the amount of hunters
Barbatos:
He bowed to the brothers, offering you a comforting smile
"I must agree with my lord, things will get rather unpleasant."
He slowly slipped off his gloves
He approached you, gently handing you his gloves and patted your shaky hands
A silent request to keep them safe for him
Solomon:
The wizard blew the steam off his wand
Smirking as he pointed it towards the magic still present around your wrists
"Isn't it good I came along? You're going to fall sleep if you keep using your powers, little apprentice, let me open a portal for you."
Just as he finished talking he summoned a portal to the devildom
He gave you a small salute
Simeon:
He hastily rushed towards you all
Checking on each brother for any serious harm, thankful they were okay
He turned his attention to you, doing the same
"all is going to be okay, I promise, I'll bring over some desserts when we get back - tell Luke I won't be long, I know he's anxious about your safety."
He walked you to the portal, caressing your hands
You got a gentle push towards the portal
Once you were all through the portal, you completely shattered. Crumbling to the floor as you broke down sobbing. The brothers tried to approach you again but your nostrils flared, face scrunching up in disgust. They reeked of blood and guts.
Beels mouth was covered in blood, flesh between his fangs. Levithans hands trembling from adrenaline red and stained with blood. Belphegor was showered in the red liquid, a feral look still in his eye. Mammon was the most clean out of all of them but he had blood dripping down him. Asmodeus had flesh on his nails and blood on his cheek. Satan looked just as drenched as belphegor, his shoulders shaking with anger. And finally, Lucifer was the second cleanist but he still was no better than the others.
"i need time to- time to calm down....just.... please just wash."
They all accepted your wishes, hesitant but they understood your predicament.
You laid on the floor, chains still on your wrists and ankles. They felt so tight on your limbs, you whimpered as they scratched at your skin. It took one small burst of magic to make them drop; you were finally free.
You continued to just lay on the floor, shakily grabbing a nearby pillow. Inhaling the sweet comforting scent, letting it fill your scenes. Everytime you even smelled a faint swift of the gore-ish scene from before you just took in another deep inhale.
You laid there for what felt like hours. Silently crying as you hugged the pillow.
You grounding yourself. Reminding yourself you were safe and back in your room. The brothers were safe and they weren't mindless beasts.
You rolled on your side, something poking your hip. It was your phone. You pulled it out from your pocket and began to type, messaging Luke that Simeon was okay aswell as you, apologizing for not seeing him in person. You sent him a quick selfie of you smuggled into your pillow and tried to look somewhat happy. Hoping it'll comfort him.
It wasn't a moment later until you heard a knock at your door. You questioned who it was.
"we're all clean now, meet us in the living room if you want....I made your favourite drink~" Asmo's voice was soft, gentle on your ringing ears.
A small smile appeared on your face. Shuffling out of your room still hugging your pillow, trailing after the lustful demon. Soon enough, you were both entering the living room.
The room was dim, the fireplace being it's only lighting and warming the room up nicely. There must of been something with the wood as it smelled so comforting. The brothers all sat along the sofa, Some on the floor. Everyone had their own drink, blankets and pillows surrounding them.
You curled up in the middle of the sofa, letting yourself be engulfed in multiple hugs. Everyone touching you in some way and you all just sat there. In peaceful silence as you just hugged.
You really needed this....
"thank you for saving me."
"We'll always save you"
"you can always count on us-!"
"I won't let this happen to you again, I promise to protect you better."
"no one is allowed to touch you like that, I won't let them."
"You don't need to thank us, darling."
"I will always make sure you're safe, no Matter what."
"I won't fail you again."
you all hugged each other even tighter, embracing each others comfort and warmth. Tears falling and soothing words shared, each brother did their best to be strong. But even they couldn't stop themselves from shedding tears when the adrenaline died.
They almost lost you. You were kidnapped and hurt because of your connection to them. They were never going to let you get harmed again, no matter the cost.

MASTERLIST
Chapter 7: Baby, eat this chicken slow, it's full of all them little bones
The morning light was pale as it slipped in between the curtains and sent a shiver through you as an immovable warmth blazed against your back and clung to your body. The night ended as well as it could have, which was poorly. Your drunken outburst settled in your gut in sour alcoholic regret.
You shifted your legs, thighs tender from the last of Thor’s irritation, and carefully sat up so that his arm fell away from you. He grumbled and rolled onto his side as he tickled your spine.
“Where’re you going?” he asked groggily.
“Coffee,” you said curtly as you touched your forehead.
“Mmmm,” he hummed and the bed creaked as he turned flat onto his back and stretched.
You stood and went to your dresser. You pulled out a night shirt and swooped it over your head, your head pulsing with your unthinking excess. You glanced back at Thor, his thick torso naked above the messy blankets as he laid with his eyes shut and arms wide. His blonde hair fanned out around his head as his chest rose and fell steadily.
You left him and went to the kitchen, tiles cool beneath your feet and the air toasty as the radiator sent off waves of stolid heat. You measured the coffee and fed the machine water. You tiptoed into the hallway and took your purse from the shoe rack and searched out your emergency bottle of Advil. You swallowed them dry and went back to stand at the counter and listen to the grind.
You watched the trickle of the dark brew as it began to spit into the pot. You hung your head and leaned on the linoleum top, fingers tapping as the stream continued. You heard his yawn and his footsteps on the hardwood before they met the tile. You didn’t bother to look over and instead opened the cupboard to pull out a mug.
As you set it down, Thor came up behind you and reached to grab one of his own. He held himself flush to your back as the porcelain clinked down beside your own and he pressed against you until your hips were at the counter. You sighed and focused on the trickle of coffee.
He hummed and nuzzled your head as he drew a hand back to feel along your thigh. He brushed his fingertips over your ass and squeezed.
“Please, I’m hungover,” you moaned, “I just want coffee--”
“I’ll be gentle,” he cooed, “besides what better to relieve some tension?”
“Don’t you ever have enough?” you scowled as he lifted your night shirt and gripped your hips, fingers tracing the line of your curves.
“Of you? Never,” he said, “last night… you know I like your teeth, kitten, but there is a time for them to come out. That wasn’t it.”
“What do you want from me?” you gritted your teeth as he continued to feel you up. You realised as his arousal grazed your ass that he was still naked, “why can’t you stop? I never wanted--”
“I’m good to you, kitten,” he intoned, “a man like me, we aren’t nice too many.”
“Nice? Is that what--”
“You goad me,” his voice deepened as he pushed his hand between your legs, “you walk a very thin line, kitten. I’d as soon grab you by the scruff.”
He bent and dragged his lips along your neck as he spread your cunt and flicked his middle finger along your clit. You hissed and gripped the counter. His touch rippled through you and you closed your eyes in futile resistance.
“But I pet you nice,” he coaxed, “don’t I?”
“Thor--”
“Mmm, that’s exactly what I want to hear,” he grazed your skin with his teeth and nipped.
You held your breath as he added another finger and played with you. You still felt the night before but the new sensations dulled the lingering ache. You quivered as he slid further back and teased your entrance, rocking his hips so that his hardness rubbed against you firmly.
You tensed as he poked a finger inside of you then another. He sank down to his knuckles and curled them, his hand against your clit as he squeezed. His hot breath seeped below your shirt as you own hitched. He shoved another finger into you and you gulped as he stretched you.
You heard how wet you were as your walls clenched him hungrily. You hated that your body responded to him so eagerly even as that voice in the back of your head kept whispering back at you to stop.
He urged you back against him and tilted your pelvis, his other hand kneading the flesh along your thigh. He trailed around your ass and stroked himself as he angled his tip along your cheeks and bent his knees to poke against his fingers.
He slid his fingers out of you and kept them on your clit as he pressed his cock along your entrance. He eased into you slowly as he drew circles around your bud. You trembled and bit your lip as you hung your head and he bit into your shoulder as he sank to his limit.
He rocked slowly as the coil twisted around his fingertips and your walls clung to him. You spread your hands flat on the counter as he moved you against it, hips hitting the curled edge of the linoleum.
Your helplessness turned into desperation to get off. You leaned back into him as you stood on your toes, back arching as you welcomed each cloying thrust of his hips. Your voice fluttered from you and echoed in your head. You muffled yourself with your palm and he tore your hand away.
He swirled his fingers faster and you breathed through your nose as you held in the rising glee. You growled as you came, legs shaking and cunt gripping him tightly. He took your orgasm as a cue and sped up, the impact of your hips growing painful against the counter.
You felt another climax about to erupt inside of you but your nerves spiked in another way as an unexpected knock sounded. Thor grunted but never wavered as he kept fucking you. He snaked his thick arm around your neck and forced you against him entirely, nearly taking you off your feet as his other hand stayed between your legs.
The knock came again, louder and impatient. Thor’s bicep pressed to your throat as your head lolled along his shoulder. He growled and his flesh slapped harder against yours as he chased his own release. Tap, tap, tap.
“One second!” he called to the door and choked on his voice.
He rammed into you hard and you felt the sudden flow inside of you. He didn’t slow as he coated your walls, not until he was spent and oversensitive. He shuddered as the knocking became constant and he let you slump against the counter as he slipped out of you. He inhaled sharply as it made him wince and he slapped your ass.
“We have company,” he said as he grabbed the paper towel and wiped himself off.
He turned away and tossed the crumpled rectangle into the bin. You watched him stomp through the living room and curve back around to the door as he snatched up a throw to knit around his waist. You squeezed your thighs together and pulled down your night shirt as he turned the latch. You focused on pouring your coffee as shame bubbled in your chest.
“If it wasn’t snowing, I wouldn’t have waited so long,” Loki complained as Thor opened the door.
“It wasn’t that long,” Thor grumbled, “what is it?”
“You asked me to come here first thing. Do you not remember, brother?” Loki snipped and you sensed him peeking over at you, “though I might understand why your mind wandered.”
“I recall,” Thor swept back into the living room as Loki stepped out of his boots.
“Good morning,” he slithered and you looked over at him.
“Coffee?” you asked as you held up the carafe.
“I prefer tea but thank you,” he continued on after his brother and you huffed quietly.
You put the pot back on the burner and slowly parted your legs. You ripped off some paper towel and wiped away the cum before it grew sticky on your skin. You quivered as you brushed your sensitive cunt and did your best to clean up.
You took your mug and sneaked out of the kitchen and down the hall as you heard the men’s voices. You didn’t so much as look at them as you escaped to your room. You kept the door open a crack as you searched out some clothes and flung them on the bed.
“Well, I was thinking perhaps you wouldn’t have to remain,” Loki ventured, “your organization will need you back as soon as this snow clears.”
“You hate this place,” Thor argued, “so why--”
“I hate your little band of brutes worse,” Loki interrupted, “besides, you’ve done what you needed. You’ve come to agreement with the locals and now you can be off to your usual… affairs.”
“And what about yours?”
“My business has always been cleaning up after you. You will need one here with the acumen to secure the deal and all its complex facets.”
“These men don’t sign contracts,” Thor scoffed.
“That is not what I mean. You know my skills beyond legal tedium,” he replied, “you are far too distracted to see to it all yourself.”
“Hmmm,” Thor hummed and silence rose.
You took a gulp of coffee and clunked the cup down. You grabbed your clothes and hurried across to the bathroom and shut yourself in. You rinsed yourself with tap water before you dressed and listened again as their tones drifted through the small apartment.
“I suppose you make sense,” Thor conceded, “Heimdall hasn’t stopped calling these last days, or at least, I think. The service here… but I should be back.”
“Father, too,” Loki added.
“Father, too,” Thor agreed, “well, let us hope this storm passes soon.”
You emerged from the bathroom and crept down the hall. Loki stood as you looked into the living room and checked his silver watch. “I will leave you to your… recreation,” he smirked at you as he raised his chin, “but I will make arrangements for my prolonged stay as you ready for your departure.”
Thor nodded and waved him away. He leaned on his elbow as he rested his chin on his knuckles and Loki sent you another grin before he strode away. He pulled on his boots and left with a lilted “goodbye” to both of you.
You waited as the conversation replayed in your head. He was leaving. At last. You struggled not to smile and instead neared and took Loki’s former spot in the slouchy chair.
“You heard all that?” he asked the redundant question. You nodded and his blue eyes flicked out the window. “Well, we’ve got some packing to do.”
“We?” you echoed, “I… what?”
“You think I would leave you here?” his mouth curved, “kitten, this little town isn’t our end. It’s our beginning.”
“I can’t just leave. I have a job, I have an apartment, and--”
“And? You can have all those things if you come with me. Better even. We have a national archive, I know one of the curators, and I think you’ll like my place--”
“I’m not going with you,” you interrupted, “you’ve done enough. I won’t leave because of you.”
“Oh? You think it’s your decision? And what will you do otherwise? Will you drive home to your mother? She’s got a job of her own and I don’t think she has any room left in her life for her daughter. Not a daughter old enough to take care of herself. To be in the care of a man rather than her parent, yes?”
“I don’t need you to take--”
“You do need me. You don’t realise it because you’ve not seen what I could do to ruin your life. Truly. I’ve been rather generous and I’ve shown you only some of what I can do. I can give you everything or I can take everything,” he sat up and stretched his arm over the back of the couch, “you don’t want to see what I can take.”
You paused and stared at him. All light was gone from his blue eyes and his expression was void of any of his usual gaiety. You sat back as his words struck you. A sudden realisation chilled your blood.
“How do you know about my mom?”
“I’ve always been rather serious about you, kitten,” he said, “so why wouldn’t I want to know everything about you.”
You thought of Bucky’s girl and Steve’s. You used to pity them and now you were them. You pitied yourself and knew then the true extent of their futility.
As in all things, there was no denying Thor in this. But you wanted to, so much. You wanted to scream, you wanted to hit him, you wanted to run and never stop.
You got to your feet and turned away from him. “Did you want coffee?” you asked in resignation.
He was quiet for a moment. He understood and he knew you did too. That was your white flag.
“Just a touch of milk,” he replied.
You went into the kitchen and filled his mug. Yours was likely cold by then, you thought as you stirred in a cloud of milk. You replaced the carton in the fridge and stared at the machine. Your eyes crawled over every inch of the kitchen in a silent farewell.
You never liked this place; not the apartment, not the library, not the town. You always told yourself you would give anything to leave, to make it anywhere else. You regretted those naïve wishes. It should have been good enough. It was but now you couldn’t hold onto it.
Your fingers closed around the mug and you felt the heat through the porcelain. You furrowed your brow and let go of it. You turned and neared the other end of the counter. Your eyes rested on the knife block and you reached shakily to free a blade from its slot. You gripped it tight and turned it to catch the light.
If you killed him, you wouldn’t have to worry about him ever again. And if he killed you...
What were you thinking? What were you doing? You shook as you eyed the knife but could not bring yourself to put it back. There was only one way away from this man. Any cell would be freedom compared to him.
You tucked it into the back of your jeans and took the cup of coffee. You went into the living room and found Thor on his feet, his jeans low on his hips. You handed him the mug and watched him as he thanked you with a smile. He sipped as his other hand lingered along the top of the denim.
“Enough milk?” you asked, the air thick in your lungs as the handle of the jeans poked your back.
“Just perfect,” he assured you.
You stared at him as the hate roiled inside of you. You hated him. You really did. It didn’t matter if he could get you off, that he could be nice, he wasn’t nice. He was one of those bikers. Hell, you could be certain he was a killer. You weren’t crazy, he was.
You reached behind you as he turned and set down the mug. You pulled out the knife and cocked your arm back. You were knocked back as he spun and kicked you, his own hand flying up from his waistband. You fell onto the floor and the knife clattered away from you.
He knelt with his knee on your chest and pressed the barrel of his gun to your head. He leaned all his weight on you until you couldn’t breathe. You croaked and slapped at his leg as you gasped for air. The metal was hard and unyielding against your skull.
“I see you’ve made your choice,” he said as your eyes crossed in an effort to look at the gun, “the hard way it is.”
You closed your eyes, certain it would all end with a bang. He pulled the gun away and suddenly the weight was off your chest. As you peeked out from under your eyelids, he grabbed you by your neck and thrust you up to your feet. He had you dangling from his grip as he walked you across the room.
He slammed you into the wall so that your head spun. His blue eyes seared as he snarled and leaned in.
“Don’t you worry, kitten, I’ve got a nice little cage waiting for you,” he sneered, “but for now, this will do.”
He wrenched you forward then shoved you back against the wall. Your head bounced off it and left you in a daze. He let go and you fell to your knees. He grabbed the back of your shirt and dragged you into the hall. He tossed you into the bedroom ahead of him and moved swiftly to take his belt from where it was coiled on your dresser.
He got down to straddle you under him as you batted at him weakly. Your were senseless and stupid from his assault. You thought of the knife on the living room floor and wanted to sob. He wound the belt around your neck and pulled it tight.
“You better get used to wearing a collar, kitten,” he snarled as he leaned in, his nose brushing against yours, “or you’ll choke from it.”

~*~
He’s numb.
So damn numb.
Nothing even matters. His ears are ringing, the bright lights bouncing off the linoleum floors are fucking with his eyes but he doesn’t care because you’ve been in the operating room for hours and all he wants is to see you, to make sure you’re okay.
No one’s said a single thing to him about whether or not you’re okay, and it’s taking all of his self-control not to break down that door and see for himself.
A heavy hand lands on his shoulder, jolting him from his thoughts and bringing him back to the loud sounds of the waiting room.
He furrows his brows at Steve, confused out of his mind until he sees Tommy in his other arm, head resting against his father's shoulder and a casted arm hanging limply at his side.
“Hey Tommy, how you feeling?” The brunet asks, his voice rough and hoarse with lack of use.
The six-year-old only whimpers softly in response, burrowing further into his father’s neck.
“He’s okay. Doctor’s got him on some painkillers. Said it was a clean break from pounding on that window.” Bucky stands up, rubbing his nephew on the back. “You’re a hero, buddy. Just like your daddy.” Tommy sniffles and nods, the sight breaking the man’s heart.
“You should head home for the night, Buck. Shower, rest, then come back in the morning.” He clenches his jaw and swallows hard, shaking his head.
“I-I can’t, Steve. What if... what if she comes out and I’m not here? Or what if...” He trails off, not even wanting to entertain the idea of the other option.
“I saw Nat on her way down here. Ask her for an update and then go home. You’ve had a long day. And when she’s out of surgery she's gonna be upset to see that you’ve exhausted yourself out here in the waiting room.” Steve has a point. Both men are still in their fire gear, having rushed to the hospital directly from the fire.
It’s after midnight now.
“I’m taking Tommy home. Take care of yourself tonight, Buck. If not for you, then for her.” He nods, eyes on the floor as the blond leaves, his son curled up against his side.
“Barnes? You’re still here?” He looks up at the sound of Natasha’s voice, desperation evident on his face as she walks over to him.
“I’ve got no update other than she’s unstable and that they’re doing everything they can. It’ll be another few hours before she’s out of surgery and even then, she’s going straight to the ICU and won’t be awake for at least a day or so.” He lets out a terribly shaky breath but nods, rubbing his eyes then pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Y-you’ll call if there are any updates, right? I’m just gonna pop home and shower and sleep for a few hours but I'll be back first thing in the morning.” She nods, taking his hand and squeezing tightly.
“I’m off for the rest of the night, so I’ll be sticking around bugging the nurses for updates whenever I can. Might even bribe an intern with good coffee, not this hospital shit.” Bucky chuckles softly, shaking his head.
“Okay.” He takes a step towards the exit then hesitates, looking back at the redhead for a. moment. “Do you think she’s gonna make it?” He asks, his voice soft and broken and nearly lost among the sea of people.
Natasha swallows hard and avoids his eyes, taking a deep breath before answering.
“The doctors are doing everything they can.” A rehearsed answer. An answer she gives to relatives to let them know that they shouldn’t expect much.
He says nothing, only gives her a firm nod, then turns and leaves the hospital.
Hot droplets of water rain down on him, washing away the stench of smoke and the physical reminder of the events of the day. But no heat and no water pressure will wash away the sorrow in his soul. The absolute unadulterated fear that grips his bones and seeps into his bloodstream. That is something that won’t be washed away by any amount of water and suds.
His movements are mechanical, scrub, rinse, dry, dress.
The sleep that finds him is restless and fitful, filled with nightmares that will haunt him for nights to come. Every thought, both waking and otherwise, are occupied by you. Your face, your smile, your laugh, and the thought that he may never experience any of them again.
He's back at the hospital at six-thirty, coffee in his metal hand because his flesh one is shaking too much.
Just as he’s walking to the reception desk, he sees Natasha walking towards the waiting room. Her face is unreadable when she sees him, but he notices her take a deep breath.
“What is it?” He asks, not bothering with pleasantries.
“She’s out of surgery. She’s still unstable, hasn’t woken up yet, but she’s been out for about three hours. She probably won’t wake up until this evening.” He takes a few deep breaths then nods, a bubble of relief hugging him tenderly.
“Where is she?” Nat sighs and turns on her heel, leading him towards your room.
“James, I’m not going to sugar coat this for you. She’s not doing well. There’s still a fair chance that she won’t wake up.” She stops, looking up at him with vulnerability in her eyes, tears brimming.
“What is it?” He’s nervous, his heart feels like it’s going to explode.
“They’re saying she needs a transplant. That her heart won’t last for much longer and if she wants any hope of surviving more than a couple years, she’ll need a new heart.”
The air leaves his lungs in a whoosh, almost as if someone punched him in the gut. He stumbles back a step, coffee dropped and hands coming to the tops of his thighs as he hunches over, trying to catch his breath.
“That’s a best-case scenario. Worst case is she... well... we should’ve said our goodbyes. But she’s strong. She’ll pull through. She has to pull through.” That last part is whispered so softly that the brunet almost misses it.
“Nat,” his voice breaks, it cracks and splinters and shatters in pieces on the linoleum that he doesn’t have the energy to pick up. He can’t pick himself back up. Not if you might not wake up. He just can’t.
“Sit down, c’mon.” She helps him lean back against the wall, sliding down until he’s seated, arms draped over his knees and his head hanging heavily between them.
He can’t breathe.
A sick voice in his head screams that this is what you must’ve been feeling, this terrible tightness in your chest, this inability to draw in a single damn breath. It’s unbearable and for just a moment he realizes he wouldn’t blame you if you gave up, if you just let it take you. But he shakes that thought from his head and instead focuses on you fighting. You need to fight. If you can pull through, then they can find you a new heart and you’ll be okay.
You’re going to be okay.
You have to be okay.
~*~
Everything feels still. Dry. Bland.
If you could pin it to a colour, that colour would be beige.
Everything feels beige.
You’ve been awake for a little while now, gathering your bearings and trying to remember what happened. The last thing you remember is the fire bell... Wanda telling you not to go... and then running back into the building to find Tommy.
Tommy.
Your heart picks up in speed, pain flaring through your chest at the action, and an alarm starts beeping rapidly.
It takes only seconds for the door to open, nurses and doctors flooding into the room and checking the various machines around you while you grab at the front of your hospital gown uselessly, trying to alleviate the pain.
“(Y/n), I need you to take a big breath with me, okay?” A doctor says, her brown eyes focused on yours. You nod, inhaling with her for a moment then exhaling. You do this a few times and the machine gradually stops, your heart slowing as whatever they injected into your bloodstream takes effect.
Nurses slowly trickle out, leaving just you and the doctor.
“Well, you sure know how to make an entrance,” she says with a smile, looking over your chart.
“What can I say, Doc? I’ve got a flair for the dramatic.” Your voice is weak, far weaker than it should be, and that alone scares you.
She chuckles softly, smiling at your words before tucking the chart under her arm and looking at you straight on.
“You being alive right now is an absolute miracle,” she says softly, taking a step towards the bed then motioning to the chair beside it, asking wordlessly if she can take a seat.
You nod, taking a few deep breaths as you prepare to hear whatever news she has for you.
“Your heart stopped twice on the way to the hospital, and the second time we almost couldn’t get it going again. Your heart is weak, and what you endured nearly ruptured your left atrium and you had severe lacerations of your ventricles. It is most comparable to a very severe heart attack, and you’re lucky to have survived.”
She doesn’t look like she’s delivering good news. No, she should be happy if you’re lucky to have survived. That fact alone puts you on edge.
“What is it? What... what’s wrong with my heart now?” You know it can’t be good judging only by the look on her face. It’s a look you’ve seen far too many times.
“With the rate you’re going, your heart will give out completely in three or four years. And it won’t be a pleasant process. You’ll be in pain, bedridden and hospitalized because you won’t be able to move. The only alternative is a transplant.” The world around you shifts from beige to grey, the clouds dark and the room sorrowful.
Your ears start ringing, loud and painfully and it takes everything in you not to rip them right off.
“S-so that’s it then? I’m gonna die in three years if I’m lucky? I’ve only got three years left?” She sighs and looks down at her hands, “the only other option would be to put you on a waiting list for a new heart, but we cannot guarantee that you’ll get it in time, but it’s worth a shot.” You shake your head, tears falling from your eyes and splattering on the ugly blue hospital blanket.
“I don’t want a new heart! I don’t want to go through a process and get my hopes up over something that I won’t get in time.” You sniffle and shove your face in your hands, the steady beeping of the machine next to you making you want to cry even harder.
“I’ll give you some time, (Y/n).” The doctor gets up and leaves, a sad look on her face as she turns to the pair waiting anxiously outside your door.
Natasha pushes herself to her feet, her eyes wide with curiosity and desperation.
“I recommend you give her space. She’s... processing everything,” Doctor Palmer says softly, giving Natasha a sad smile before walking away to handle her other patients.
Nat exchanges looks with Bucky then slowly walks to the door.
“Just give me a minute to see how she’s doing, okay? I’ll tell her you’re out here waiting, I just wanna see if she needs anything.” He takes a deep breath but nods, understanding that Natasha would be able to tell, if only from a medical standpoint, what you need.
You keep your face in your hands, tears wetting your palms, as the door opens again.
“Beans?” Nat’s voice makes you stiffen, sniffling and wiping your eyes before peeking up at her.
Her heart shatters in her chest at the sight of you.
Skin dull, eyes heavy and sunken. She’s seen a lot of sick people before but never would she have put you in the same category as them. Now though? Now, you look the part.
“I uh... I heard the news. Bugged the nurses for updates and they finally caved.”
Your bottom lip wobbles and then a sob bubbles out of your chest.
Nat’s face falls and she slides onto the bed beside you, pulling you into a tight embrace while you sob.
“Oh beans,” she whispers, smoothing your hair away from your face.
“I don’t want a new heart!” You cry, tears soaking her shirt. She hugs you, holds you tightly while you cry out your frustrations, your sorrows.
It’s agony.
She has so many questions, so much she wants to say, but she knows better.
She holds her tongue, wanting you to be in a better headspace before she talks to you about your options. It’s too soon. The wound is too fresh.
Bucky sits impatiently outside of the room the whole time, leg bouncing and flesh fingers trembling.
Natasha comes out of your room a short while later, sniffling and wiping at her cheeks.
“What’s happening? Is she okay?” The redhead nods, taking a few deep breaths.
“I’ve seen a lot of sick people, Barnes. A lot of them. But seeing her... seeing my friend so weak and tiny...” She shakes her head, looking up at him with glossy eyes.
“I’m scared, Buck.” Bucky pulls her into a hug, his own breaths shaking.
“It's okay. It’s gonna be okay.” She sniffles again then speaks, “she’s asleep again. She should be good to see you the next time she wakes up though. I’m sure she misses you.” He squeezes his eyes shut but nods, trying to mentally prepare himself to see you in such a fragile state.
~*~
Bucky doesn’t know how to feel.
He doesn’t even want to feel.
Helpless.
That’s the word that sums it up the best.
Seeing you on that hospital bed, tubes attached to your face, arms, and chest, he feels absolutely helpless.
“Hey,” he murmurs, smiling gently when you look up from your book.
“Bucky... Hi.” Your voice is raspy and hoarse, and he has to take a few shaky breaths to stop from crying.
“You mind if I sit?” You shake your head, motioning to the chair beside your bed.
He takes a seat and looks at you closely, his eyes welling up with tears.
“How ya feelin, pretty girl?” You huff a breath out through your nose then shrug, trying your hardest to stay strong in front of him.
“I uh... I’ve been better, I gotta say.” He chuckles weakly then nods, sniffling and dropping his gaze for a moment.
“Nat uh... Nat told me what the doctors said. About your heart and stuff. That’s... intense.” It’s not the best word but it’s the only one he can find.
You blow a breath out through your mouth and nod.
“It’s scary,” you whisper, not looking up from your hands even when he takes them in his.
“I’m scared. I don’t want to be put on a waiting list only to not get one in time. And there are people who need a new heart more than I do. People who want one more than I do.” He furrows his brows and cocks his head to the side in confusion.
“What do you mean, you don’t want a new heart? Why wouldn’t you want one?”
You sigh heavily, “because, James. This is my heart. It’s the heart that I’ve lived with for my whole life. I don’t want a new one because this one is mine. This is the one that’s dealt with heartbreaks and betrayals. This is the one that’s gotten me through the bad days and the good. And this is the one that chose you. I don’t want a different one. I wanna keep this one. And don’t you dare tell me that my days are numbered if I keep this one because my days are numbered regardless.”
You finally look up at him, fire in your eyes as you express everything that’s been going on in your mind.
“We’re all gonna die someday, and it may not be the way we expect or the way we want, and we won’t ever be fully ready for it. But it’s gonna happen. I’d much rather know that I spent my life doing what I wanted on my terms. If my days are numbered, I'd rather enjoy them than spend them waiting for a heart I may never get. My heart’s still got a few years left in it. Careful years, yeah, but years no less.”
Tears stain his cheeks and he nods, sniffling twice then pressing a kiss to your hands.
“I’m not going to try and change your mind, Doll. The choice is completely yours and no matter what you decide to do, I’ll stay by your side through all of it, I promise. You’re my girl, my best girl, my only girl, and I want you to do what’s best for you.” You squeeze your eyes shut, having mentally prepared yourself for him to put up a fight, not for him to be so supportive of your decision.
“I love you, (Y/n). And I’m gonna cherish every fucking moment that you let me spend with you because I love you. I thought,” he pauses, pulling a hand back to scrub the tears off of his cheeks only for more to fall.
“I thought I’d lose you before getting a chance to truly tell you. But I’m not gonna waste any more time because life is a precious gift. I love you, (Y/n). So much. To the fucking ends of the Earth. I love you and I don't want a day to go by where you don’t know just how much I love you.”
You whimper, his confession making warmth spread through your body and tears rain down your cheeks.
“I-I love you too, James. With every ounce of my heart, I love you. And I don't want to let you down and I never want to hurt you.” He closes his eyes, content to bask in the weight of your words for a moment longer, a private, intimate moment.
He eventually settles his head on the bed next to your hip, and your fingers find their way into his luscious brown locks, twirling the thick strands around mindlessly.
“When are you getting discharged?” He asks, his voice muffled by the bed.
“I’m not sure yet. Doctor Palmer said she wants to keep me here for at least another week or so to monitor my heart and take me off the medication, and then maybe some more time after that depending on how weak I am.” He nods, nuzzling against you some more.
“I’m not going back to work ‘till you’re out,” he says matter-of-factly.
You only giggle, shaking your head.
“James, that’s not even plausible. You’ve got bills to pay. Besides, you’ll get tired of being here. I’m gonna spend most of my time sleeping or bugging the nurses for some real food.” He lifts his head, eyes full of vulnerability.
“I just don't wanna leave you and then...” He trails off but you understand his concern.
“I’m gonna be okay. Doctor Palmer says I’m doing okay. I’m sure Nat will continue bugging her for updates and she’ll let you know if there’s anything concerning happening. But I’m gonna be fine, I swear.” He watches you for a moment longer before nodding and pressing his head against your thigh.
A thought bubbles into your mind and you tug gently on his hair to get his attention.
“What happened to Tommy?” You ask, voice tight and filled with apprehension.
Bucky only smiles gently.
“Lil guy’s a hero. He busted that window open, that’s how we found you two. Broke his arm but he’s okay. Says he looks like me so he likes it.” A smile finds its way onto your face at the idea of Tommy looking up to his uncle so much.
“He’s already gotten everyone at the firehouse to sign it, and I’m sure when he’s back to school he’ll get everyone there to sign it too. But the lil guy’s a hero. Gonna make a good firefighter.” You nod, mind flashing back to those last few moments in the school.
“I was so scared, James. I-I couldn’t protect him and I didn’t know what to do.” He reaches up and strokes your cheek gently, shushing you softly.
“It’s okay, pretty girl. It’s okay. Everyone’s okay.” You take a few deep breaths and nod, trying to calm down before your heart rate picks up too much.
“You need to worry about yourself, and not everyone else. Focus on getting better, okay? And then, when you’re ready, I’m gonna take you out on a date and show you just how much you can enjoy life, okay?”
You nod, smiling at him.
“Okay.”
~*~
“Miss (Y/l/n)!” Tommy runs at you full speed, nearly knocking you over when he barrels into your legs.
Bucky’s quick to steady you, opening his mouth to reprimand his nephew but you stop him, raising a hand to cut him off.
“Hey, Tommy! How’s my little superhero feeling?” He pulls back and smiles up at you.
“I got another cast so now my arm looks just like uncle Bucky’s!” You glance at the new blue cast and smile brightly.
“Look at that! And you’re a hero just like him too, huh?” He nods excitedly then digs around in his pocket for a moment.
“Here!” He hands you a sharpie then points to a blank space on his cast.
“I made sure to leave room for you to sign it!” Your face softens and you crouch down in front of him, signing your name and drawing a small picture.
“Thank you, Tommy.” He nods, glancing over his shoulder as his dad calls his name.
“C’mon Tommy! You gonna help us move or are you gonna help miss (Y/l/n) get organized?” He looks between you and his dad then runs over to the moving truck, excitedly grabbing whatever his little arms can carry then bringing them into the house.
Bucky wraps an arm around your waist and presses a soft kiss to your temple.
“You ready?” You look up at your new house, then over at him, nodding without hesitation.
“Absolutely.”
The moving process is long and tedious, and after seven hours of lifting, unboxing, cleaning, and organizing, you’re about ready to call it a day.
“Pizza’s on its way, and Nat ran out to grab some beers,” Bucky says, coming up into the master bedroom. Concern immediately colours his features as he sees the way you’re sitting. You’re on the bed, hunched over with one hand on your mouth and the other on your lower abdomen.
“(Y/n)?” He asks, coming to a crouch in front of you and trying to get a look at your face.
You take a few deep breaths then nod, opening your eyes and offering him a weak smile.
“You okay?” You nod again but he seems unconvinced.
“What’s wrong? Are you okay?” You take a deep breath and reach for his hand, squeezing it gently.
“I uh.. not really. I wanted to tell you in a better way but I guess this is as good as it’s going to get.” His heart is in his throat, absolutely terrified of what you’re going to tell him.
You’ve been going to the doctor a lot more frequently, and your energy levels have plummeted.
He knew you didn’t have time left but it hasn’t even been six months since the fire.
You pull his hand to your stomach and rest it there gently, eyes finding his as you wait for it to click.
He stares at his hand in confusion, that confusion melting away as he realizes what you’re telling him.
“Wait, are you...?” His eyes are wide, eyebrows raised and heart pounding.
You only nod, tears welling up in your eyes as he launches up and wraps his arms around your frame.
“Oh my god. Oh my god! I’m gonna be a dad!” You giggle wetly, tears of joy falling and getting soaked up by his shirt.
“We’re gonna have a baby.” He pulls back, hands on your small baby bump.
“How far along are you?” He asks, cradling the bump delicately between his hands.
“About three months. And the doctor said that they’ve already got a birth plan ready, and different pills for me to take to calm my heart.” His glossy eyes look up at you, so full of love and adoration.
“I can’t believe it. I...” he stops, leaning in the gently kiss your lips then pulls you into another tight embrace.
“Thank you, (Y/n). Thank you.”

k. (eren j. x reader)
summary; you're well aware by now that your feelings of eren have blossomed into something more than a fuckbuddy. but you're not quite sure if he'll agree.
content warnings; smut (18+), fingering, oral (f. receiving), vaginal, unprotected sex, unestablished relationship, degrading, use of pet names, creampie, slight dumbification, hurt at the end i’m sorry.
word count; 2.2k
a/n; the fic that has been sitting in my drafts for 2 months has been completed! anyways i’m sorry i’m advance
you're well aware by now that eren jaeger isn't just a one night stand you had a week ago. you couldn't quite call it a friendship now, but perhaps fuckbuddies- or people who banged on the low with no strings attached.
well, you wouldn't say you didn't have feelings for him by now. you couldn't tell if it was his mischievous personality or his nine inch long dick, but there were certainly more than platonic feelings on your end.
you two had met when armin, mikasa and eren bought a house to rent out for college. you were a friend of mikasa's and had nowhere to go except to the house they rented, so you moved in. you and eren clicked almost instantaneously, as if you were best friends your whole life.
the sexual tension between you two was inexplicable. and you both knew it. and that's why one day, eren chose to make his move when you two were watching "finding nemo: blu-ray dvd edition" on the couch in the living room.
you two fucked during the scene when the little red-headed girl was terrorizing the other fish. but you two don't talk about it. all that mattered was that it was good sex- and by good, you meant really. fucking. good. you had no clue how he gained all this experience, but that didn't matter either.
now you were here, nearing the end of your sophomore year. this little rendezvous with eren had lasted five months now. you two definitely fucked often- sometimes sucking him off while he was studying for is psychology course, other times bending you over the bathroom counter with a death grip on your asscheeks.
this time he had walked into your room while you were clicking away at your laptop while you sat on your bed, doing your best to study for the exam you had next week. he didn't say a word, just laid down on the bed next to you and stared up at the ceiling.
you tried your hardest to ignore him, but your train of thought was lost when he cleared his throat unnecessarily loudly as if you couldn't already tell that he was right next to you.
you shut your laptop in defeat, and turned your head over to eren, a smile ever so slightly curling on his lips. you were unamused at his behavior.
"yes, eren?" you ask, eyes locking with his jade orbs. he clearly hasn't slept in a while, telling from the dark circles under his eyes, contrasting his somewhat tan skin. his brown hair was in its messy bun like normal, tied up sloppily with some baby hairs poking out here and there.
"dunno", he responded. "just seeing what you're up to."
"mhm? well, that sounds like bullshit to me, mister jaeger", you scoff. "you always come in here and make yourself at home when you're horny."
eren sighed, and sat up from his position. "fine, you caught me red handed. but i know you're as horny as i am."
"...you're right", you admit, before he flips over so he's on all fours and crawls over so he's in front of you. the several rings that adorned his fingers glistened in the ceiling light above, his grey sweatshirt hanging loosely around his body. though what he always wore was so simple, he never failed to look breathtaking in it.
tugging at the waist of your sweatpants, eren growled a "take it off" before you slid your hands down to your waist and did as he told you, leaving you in your panties. you didn't wear nice ones today assuming you weren't going to be fucking somebody, but here you were.
the rest was done by him as he pulled down your panties, breath hitching at the sight of your wet cunt. eren licked his lips hungrily.
"wet? already? what are you, some kind of whore?"
when you only looked at him with doe eyes, he rose his voice. "well? give me an answer, slut."
his very words made something awaken in your core, and you responded with a "y-your whore, eren."
eren nodded in satisfaction, content with your answer. "you're learning."
in past experiences, you had been quite a brat to him- as he would say. constantly going up against what he wanted, trying to dominate him. but every single time he ended up pushing you back down and pounding you into the nearest surface, making you state exactly who you belonged to. but since you were being good this time, he relented.
dipping a cold finger into your folds, he collected the juices that wetted the outer lips of your cunt, savoring the warmth it provided him in contrast to his hand. in response, you jolted at the cold temperature, only for eren to hold you down by the waist to prevent too much movement.
working his fingers inside your impossibly tight cunt, he pushed in one, swirling it around in an attempt to find your sweet spot- in which he succeeded. with a hum of approval, he pushed through another finger past the bit of muscle and into your walls, placing it in the same spot the other finger was. curling his digits around that spongy spot and placing the gentlest pressure upon it. letting a pathetic whimper escape your lips, eren is quick to stop what he's doing and reach for your panties.
"w-what are you doing?" you croak, voice weak from the recent stimulation.
"shutting you the fuck up", he snapped back in response. balling up your pair of soaked panties, he stuffed them in your mouth, making you gag a little. he only smirked at the fact you were struggling. "you're just too fuckin' loud. if armin and mikasa weren't downstairs i would let you have at it, but we've gotta keep this a secret baby."
resuming what he was doing a minute ago, he moves his mouth closer to your cunt, ever so gently wrapping his lips around your delicate little clit. your hips bucked upwards as he put his two fingers in their previous spot, pumping slowly in and out.
you're only able to mumble in approval as his pumping turns languid and rough, and before you know it you're already feeling that knot that's all too familiar in your stomach. you yelp into your balled up panties that occupied your little mouth, the sound coming out muffled. erens brow raises as he removes his fingers from your fluttering cunt.
you're about to mutter something in disapproval, but eren starts talking before you. "i told you to stay quitet, princess. what don't you get about that? are you that stupid whore i thought you were? yeah, i thought so."
"'m not a stupid whore", you say, making your statement clear even though there was a piece of fabric in your mouth.
"then show it", eren demands as he slides his fingers back in, his thrusting become too quick for you to resist an orgasm, but still staying quiet so he would let you cum.
you gush all over his fingers, creamy white liquid coating his fingers as he pulls out, and places his fingers in his mouth, licking off the substance. you're reduced to a panting mess on your bed.
"that tired, are ya?" eren mocks you. "too bad. i still've got a hard cock and you're gonna take care of it." he isn't wrong. his print is easily visible in his grey sweats, at its full length and glory.
"more", you pant out. "want your cock, can handle it, eren..."
"i know you can, princess", he coos as he practically rips down his pants and boxers at the same time, exposing his hardened and flushed cock. the tip was tinted red, a few veins protruding through the skin on the side. he had a pretty cock indeed.
"bend over", he commands. shakily, you comply and get on all fours so that your head is near a pillow in case your legs give out. "that's'a girl."
you can feel him come up from behind you, and rub his warm tip over your cunt, making a shiver run down your spine. his size never failed to make you at least just a little bit nervous, it always hurt a bit when it went in but he prepped you well enough that it would slide in easily.
with his right hand, he grabbed the sturdy frame of the headboard, and with his left, started to push his cockhead into your tight little hole. you squealed as you felt his flesh enter you slowly, but soon sheathed his whole self in with one thrust.
"fuck- you're tight", he grunted, and removed his left hand so it was now gripping your ass. you could feel his fingernails digging into the supple skin, likely leaving red crescent marks. after eren took a deep breath or two, he started his movements. and he didn't relent.
the pace he was moving at was almost dizzying, making you let out a few high-pitched wails. his balls slapped up against your behind, lewd noises of skin on skin filling the room. he held onto the headboard, making the bed shake and creak with every new thrust he took.
"eren, eren, eren", you mumbled, completely cockdrunk by him. "more, more please".
eren smirked, his hair starting to fall out of his bun. "liking that? i knew it, you're just a whore. begging for my cock like always, just like the slut i've always known."
his words were mean, but they made you clamp around his dick, making him release a stuttered moan. were you perhaps sick for liking the way he degraded you? you didn't know and didn't care.
"s' good, 'ren", you gasped, wanting him to keep calling you these names and degrading you down to the bone. you would never let any man talk to you like that- only eren could, he did it the right way.
"i know baby, i know", he purred. "m' gonna cum, you gonna cum with me?"
"y-yes!" you shriek, feeling your second orgasm creep up on you, making your stomach do a somersault. "please 'ren! make me cum! need you filling me up!"
eren gave a dark chuckle, and threw his head back into a moan. your orgasm hit you like a truck, the pleasure taking over your entire body and making you shake uncontrollably, squealing into your pillow as your legs gave out. eren knew this was coming, so he removed his right hand from his headboard and put both of his hands under your legs to hold you out as he rode out his high. he jackhammered into you, balls tightening as the knot in his stomach finally snapped, making his cum spurt out of his tip and into your cunt. you were left immobile and speechless, drooling into your pillow as he pulled himself out and let his semen leak out from your hole and all over your sheets.
after he finished panting, he looked over to you. "you good?"
"mmph", you mumble, eren barely hearing you. you meant for that to be an affirmation.
he flipped you over so you were on your back, your sweatshirt still on your body. he cursed himself for not removing it, but there was always a next time. he smiled at your state, knowing he fucked you that good.
“you did good, princess”, he grinned, and pulled up his boxers again, and searched for his phone which he left somewhere in the room.
“eren”, you ask. “where are you going?”
“there’s a party at jeans dorm tonight. you going?”
you sigh. “no, studying for the exam. i need to pass it, maybe i’ll go next time.”
eren nodded, and walked out the door. “thanks again.”
staring up at the ceiling, you wondered how eren could always treat the fact you two fucked on the regular so casually. he always went around and flirted with other girls at parties, but never took them home.
well, it was now or never that you were going to make your move.
you grabbed your phone from your nightstand and unlocked it, your home screen being a photo of you, eren, armin and mikasa all huddled around the couch for a movie night. you opened your messaging app, and clicked on erens contact. this is where you began drafting your message.
| You: um okay hi eren! so thanks for today, it felt really good as always. but i was wondering if maybe you would want to take things further? we can go out to dinner thursday night if you’re free :)
reading it over once before sending, you pressed the blue button that sent the message to him. it took two minutes for him to read if.
the three dots in a bubble popped up on his end of the conversation. you internally panicked, wondering if this was the right choice.
| erennn: i mean don’t we fuck? don’t get me wrong u cool but i mean idk man
your heart quite literally froze at the sight of his message. the dots popped up again, and you held your breath waiting for an answer.
| erennn: so like fuckbuddies basically, that’s all i want rn so uhhhh yeah 💀
this was the exact moment you felt your heart physically sink. fuck, now you’ve embarrassed yourself. would he think your weird?
wanting to act calm and unaffected by his answer, all you wrote was one letter.
| You: k.

Season of the Witch- TEASER
☾ Pairing: love triangle Taehyung x jimin x reader
☾ Genre: yandere, smut, horror, thriller
☾ Rating: 18+
☾ Warnings: STALKER SHIT, Tae is insane and has really dark and obsessive thoughts about Jimin, there’s some sexy stuff in here too, hints towards make oral sex and just sex, violent themes I guess and hits of murder.
☾ Summary: all Taehyung ever wanted was Jimin, and he had always done whatever it took to stop whatever or whoever got in his way, you were going to be no different. Surely Jimin didn’t love you as much as Taehyung loved him… right?
"So," Jimin sucked in a deep breath from across the table of the diner and nervously adjusted in his seat before looking across the table at his best friend. He wondered why he was so nervous, why he was dragging this out, why he thought Taehyung wouldn't understand.
"So, you brought me here to talk about something?" Taehyung cleared his voice, doing his best to try to hide his own nervousness and butterflies mixing in his stomach as he played with a little pink packet of sugar on the table.
"Since you're my best friend and I want you to know what's going on in my life..." Jimin's eyes flickered to his melting vanilla milkshake he no longer cared about. He felt like he needed to look at anything but Taehyung, just in case he had the same reaction as last time, although that was years ago when… Jimin refused to let his mind go back to it.
Taehyung bit at his lip and put down the sugar packet he had been playing with upon hearing Jimin's words. He looked down at the little chipped places in the diner table, chipped at by time itself. He knew now what was coming, and it wasn’t what he had wanted to hear… it wasn't going to be anything close to "I love you". He braced himself for the impact, heart ready to shatter into his ribcage and start sobbing in front of Jimin.
"I've- I've met this girl…" Jimin floundered at first, but the rest just slipped out of his mouth naturally as if he had been born to say these words "she's the one, Tae."
Jimin's sentence had come out in slow motion for Taehyung, as if the world wanted to drag this out just to hurt him more. Although Taehyung knew it had been coming seeing as Jimin had been quite distant recently, just like before, it still left Taehyung swallowing down the pain. A sad whimper too high and soft to be his own partially escaped his throat before Taehyung caught it, cut it off, and drowned it out by clearing his throat. He could feel how wide his eyes were, he felt his pulse quicken and blood heat to an uncomfortable level under his skin. He wanted to crawl out of his own outter flesh and slink away unnoticed by the man sitting across from him. He didn't know what to do, but he had to say something, so said the only thing he could think to say.
"You sure?"
"I'm sure." Jimin confirmed with a nod "you- you aren't going to say what you said last time?" Jimin furrowed his brows with worry.
Taehyung had been through so much with Jimin last time he had uttered these words to him. Jimin should've known better than to go and do this again, Taehyung shouldn't have to warn him again, Jimin should be scared, he should be too scarred to do this to Taehyung again. But would Taehyung say all of this to his friend? No. Warning him of the future heartbreak didn't work last time, it only made Jimin push Tae away and he wasn't about to make that mistake again… he didn't have to, this time around he was prepared, it would be easier now.
"Of course not." Taehyung sat up straighter in the diner booth and watched Jimin's surprised reaction. "It was wrong of me to say all of that last time, especially after what happened."
Jimin's face fell into a pout for a moment as he remembered but pushed it out of his mind. It still hurt him, but now at least he had you.
"You deserve to be happy and you deserve someone." Taehyung forced the best smile he could as he wished that someone was him. He had always wished that someone was him, ever since the both of them had been in high school. Taehyung said a silent prayer every night that one day Jimin would just come to his senses. Taehyung's mind drifted away to the time where he thought Jimin was almost his, the night it was so close he could taste it, he did taste it, he could still taste Jimin's sticky smooth peach schnapps flavored lips and tongue on his.
"-she's such a good dancer too. I can't wait for you to meet her." Taehyung had only caught the tail end of Jimin's rambling. Jimin's smile and enthusiasm when talking about someone that wasn’t him made that warmth in his veins turn into a fire in his stomach, Taehyung was angry. The muscles in hands clenched to try to hold himself together. His hands had felt so tight that they ripped the packet of sugar he had open that he hadn’t realized he had picked back up off the table.
Taehyung looked down at the little pile of sparkling sugar on the table that Jimin ignored as he went for a drink of his milkshake. He watched as his friend's lips wrap around the straw and thought about how perfect they would look and feel if they were wrapped around his-
Taehyung let his eyes fall back to the sugar on the table but that was no help either. He now thought about Jimin's lips coated in the tiny crystals, kissing him, tasting sweeter than the night they almost- Taehyung was sure he'd have a breakdown right here in this diner if he didn’t stop thinking about that night.
"How's the art stuff coming along?" Jimin decided to ask, he hadn't heard Taehyung talk about painting in a while now. He knew it had been Tae's favorite hobby since they were teenagaers, and he was good at it too.
Art stuff. Taehyung knew he didn't care about it, he didn’t even pretend to. Jimin didn't come to the first and last art show his paintings had been featured in. It was a disappointing blow to Taehyung, so disappointing that he gave it up.
"Yeah, I've been exploring other hobbies lately and haven't had time for it. Work and stuff too has been keeping me busy." It wasn't a lie, it was the truth, however Tae wasn't about to start naming his new "hobbies" Thankfully he didn't have too, Jimin's phone went off.
"Oh! Oh man, It doesn't feel like we were here that long does it? I've got to be at the dance studio in fifteen minutes." Jimin couldn’t help but smile as he said it, anytime he mentioned or thought of the dance studio at all now he couldn’t help but smile.
Jimin quickly held his hand up to flag down a waitress but Taehyung stopped him.
"I've got it, you're in a rush." Taehyung urged.
"Are you sure?" Jimin questioned "I'm the only one who ordered anyt-"
"It was just a milkshake. Just head out." Taehyung urged once again, forcing a boxy smile.
Jimin thanked his best friend with a cheerful crescent moon eyed smile that Taehyung would die to see everyday.
Once Jimin had left Taehyung grabbed a napkin from the napkin holder and in the blink of an eye, had stolen the straw from Jimin's half finished milkshake. Under the table, he wiped the excess milkshake from the straw, careful not to touch the end Jimin had put his lips on, and tucked it into his small bag he had brought along with him before flagging down a waitress and paying the bill.
Once Taehyung had gotten out to his car, what Jimin had told him began to catch up with him and really sink in past his bones and into his soul.
Jimin now had a girlfriend.
"Fuck." Taehyung muttered to himself and let his head fall onto the steering wheel. Was this it? Was it all too late? Taehyung should’ve been faster about making Jimin love him.
"FUCK FUCK FUCK!" He let out as he slammed his head against the wheel a couple of times, anger and disappointment radiated through his body.
This wasn't supposed to happen, it wasn't supposed to be like this ever again. Taehyung thought he had taught Jimin a lesson, that lesson being he shouldn't love anyone but him.
Taehyung was protecting Jimin. He was protecting him from his own self, not just from the heartbreak. He knew Jimin's heart was filled with warmth and love that he wanted to share, but why couldn't he just share it with Taehyung? Taehyung, the best friend who was always there for him. Taehyung, the man who strived to be everything Jimin wanted. Taehyung, who would, has and will kill for the man he loves.
Taehyung didn't know what you looked like yet, but he imagined the satisfaction of taking you down just like the girl before you.
He felt a smile grow and spread across his face.
He knew shouldn't be worried, it would be easier this time now that he's getting the hang of this black magic thing. It could be as easy as stomping an ant.
A laugh sounded throughout the quiet car and only grew louder and heavier the more he thought about your death.
Taehyung knew that in the end all you were would be another lesson, another reason for Jimin to never get close to anyone ever again, only him. It would always only be Taehyung, and he figured Jimin would have to learn that eventually.

MASTERLIST - SERIES MASTERLIST
PART TWELVE
“I’ve had it,” you said, pushing away your dinner.
“Yeah, me too,” Bruce sighed, eating the last fry and leaning back in his chair with a sigh. “I don’t get it. Why give this big ass meal if no one has ever finished it?”
“It’s not called the Impossible Plate for nothing, Bruce,” you mumbled, toying with the hem of your shirt.
“Still,” he mumbled, yawning. “I’ll have to sleep for days to digest this.”
You laughed, watching your brother, who’d grown a white hair or two in the last years, bend over an eating contest you’d both known you’d never be able to finish.
But at least you were spending time with Bruce, not wallowing around in your apartment, waiting for the sun to set, for a certain someone to climb out of the shadows.
“So,” Bruce said, wiping the corner of his mouth. “Did you and Nat find any cute boys the other night?”
You rolled your eyes, panic rising in your throat because no, both of you had returned home beau-less, but you’d recently found someone else. And you were not about to let Bruce know. Not now. Not ever.
But truth is, you hadn’t seen Loki since the night he came back, and your tummy was a turmoil of panic and butterflies. Had he left once again? What was he doing? Where? With who?
You gulped down the terror rising in your throat as you smiled tightly at Bruce. “No, well, you know how it is,” you said awkwardly. “They all wanna talk to Nat so I kind of awkwardly step to the side.”
Bruce nodded. “Well, Nat is a very beautiful woman,” he sighed.
“Ew, Bruce stop.”
“But some men like women like you too.”
“What, ugly?”
“Oh my God, Y/N, stop it,” your brother grumbled. “Half the men in here swiveled their necks when you walked in.”
You wanted to hide in your hands.
But then Bruce’s face changed and you knew what was coming. He always did this. Always. As if he just had to make sure you were miserable, just for the sake of the planet’s safety.
“I need to tell you something,” Bruce said with a frown. God, you hoped he was fine. But something in the lines of his face made worry climb in your belly. “There’s news from... from Asgard.”
It was as if that word was poison to you. “Loki,” you mumbled, throat raw.
“Thor delivered some news yesterday,” your brother continued, toying with his fingers, a nervous habit of his. “Loki... Loki died.”
You frowned, your head snapping up to meet Bruce’s warm brown gaze. “Dead?” you asked.
That was impossible. Just two days ago, he’d been standing in your apartment. He’d been... You gulped.
Bruce put his elbows on the table, initiating his Big Brother Stance.
“I’m sorry, Y/N,” he whispered. “I know it must be terrible news for you.”
You dipped your chin, searching your last moments with Loki, trying to decipher if he’d given you a hint. This made no sense. How could Loki, the God of Mischief, be dead?
“How?” you asked.
Bruce sighed. “Thor broke him out of prison to help him cure Jane of the Aether, and well, Loki was killed in a battle.”
You were frowning so hard it hurt.
“I am so sorry, little sis,” Bruce murmured, reaching across the table to touch your hand. You immediately jerked it away, regretting the harsh movement as you saw hurt crossing your brother’s features, but not caring at the same time. How could he be dead?
You stood, the chair scraping on the wooden floor. You grabbed your bag, heart pounding, breath roaring in your ears.
“Y/N,” Bruce said, eyeing you with worry creasing his face.
“I’m gonna go,” you mumbled, not bothering with the bill or politeness or the fact that you were running out of a restaurant.
The street sounds were a blur to you as you all but ran out, bumping into people, muttering excuses. You walked by habit, heart a sore muscle, thoughts jumbling. How could Loki be dead in two days? Had Thor delivered the news a few days ago? Or today?
You were vaguely aware of your phone buzzing in your pocket, but all you could concentrate on was Loki’s presence. He’d been in and out of your apartment for weeks, repairing this or that, and it was only two days ago that he’d been in your apartment, kissing you.
He just couldn’t be dead.
It was late evening as you rushed up the stairs of your apartment complex, blood roaring in your ears, breath panting as you burst through the door. You didn’t bother locking it. Rushing to the curtains, you ripped them closed, ushering in more darkness. He only seemed to come to you in the dark.
Standing there like an idiot, panting, silence filling your ears, you called out to him. At first, it was weak. A raw attempt to conjure him as if he was a ghost. But then the anger got to you, sweeping in hot against the inside of your rib cage, and you balled your fingers into fists.
“Loki, fuck!” you exclaimed, feeling your cheeks warm.
The shadow behind you spoke. “Love hearing my name like that.”
You whirled, watching him melt from the shadows as if he’d been there all along. Black long sleeve cotton sweater, black trousers, boots to match. His hair had been cut since the last time you’d seen him. The long strands now short just below his ears, pushed back unevenly.
He glowed, looking healthier, more like himself than when he’d been begging you never to let him go.
“I thought you didn’t want me,” he said, pouting his lower lip. As he moved across the living room floor to stand before you, he put a hand to his heart. “Wounds me.”
“Are you really here?” you asked, resisting the urge to slap him for his arrogance.
“Why don’t you come and find out, beloved?” He opened his arms wide, a smirk tugging at the treacherous corners of that delicious mouth.
You walked right up to him and clocked him in the jaw. His head snapped back, smirk wiping off his face, arms falling to his sides. When he looked back at you, standing close and seething, his left brow rose slowly. “I do not believe I’ve ever deserved such treatment.”
“Thor’s been saying you’re dead,” you accused, looking up at him from under your brows.
The smirk slowly came back. “I may have helped spread that rumor,” he admitted, reaching out the touch the lapel of your coat. You inched back, but he snapped his hand closed and pulled you closer. “You must understand, Y/N, that this little lie I’ve shaped up allows us to be together.” He dipped his chin, eyes boring into yours.
He was so close that you could feel the heat of him through your clothes. He’d been so cold the other night.
He licked his lips, inching slightly towards your mouth. “When you’re a powerful God and sorcerer like me, faking your death is like breathing. Easy.”
Your eyes widened, but the hurt you’d felt in your heart seemed to evaporate. If he’d faked his death, that meant he was really here. Unburdened. No one even knew he lived and breathed.
His hands went into your coat, swiftly sliding it off your shoulders. You watched him, memorized the lines of his face.
“It’s just you and me now,” he murmured, your coat hitting the floor with a deafening thud. “We can go wherever we please.”
His hands found home on your hips, burying his face in your neck and inhaling, the scent of him invading your senses. He gently wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you against him, flush, like two puzzle pieces. He was warm, oh so warm. He smelled like wood fire and something unique to him that made your body feel... safe.
“Say something, baby,” he mumbled against the flesh of your neck, sending shivers gliding down your back. His warm, big hands slid against your waist until he held your ribcage. Surely, he could feel just how hard your heart was beating.
“I thought you were dead,” you murmured.
You felt him chuckle against you as he straightened, his hands cupping your cheeks. “I can show you how very much alive I am,” he whispered, his voice thick.
You gulped. Something in you fizzled, dripping thick, honeyed want into your belly.
But Loki cocked his head. “I could take you here,” he said, eyes faraway, as if he was talking to himself. “I could... Gods, stop looking at me like that.”
He brought his mouth to yours, kissing you so fiercely that you forgot his whole “pretending to be dead” thing. The way his mouth molded to yours stole the breath from your lungs, driving you mad with the need of him. He was so soft, yet so rough, a restraint in him only felt as you grabbed onto his taunt shoulders. He was keeping himself controlled.
You wondered what it would be like if he didn’t.
He said your name through kisses, pushing onto you until the backs of your knees found the edge of the couch. “I’ve been starved for two years,” he mumbled, biting onto your lower lip. “Bled out.” Another breathtaking kiss. “All I wanted was you.”
You briefly remembered the way he’d looked that first time you saw him: disgusted, and how ironic was that now. He was bound to you so fiercely you felt it in your bones, and he was on his knees, wanting you more than anything. More than his own life.
“Loki,” you murmured, breathing him in, kissing him back with as much heat as you could muster. You took ahold of his shirt with courage that seemed to pour in the more he ravaged you with his mouth. Pulling him back, you brought him down onto the couch, straddling him with ease. It really was like fitting two puzzle pieces.
He huffed, his eyes searching your face with a look you could only chalk up to awe. His hands delicately treaded along your waist, skimming your hips as you lowered yourself flush against him. You could feel him through his pants, warm and hard, and the thought that just the sight of you got Loki so aroused made you bite your lip.
He looked up at you, caressing your ribcage. “I could have you like this,” he whispered, his other hand skimming your belly and up, until he toyed with your nipple through your shirt. “I would have you how ever you want, Y/N,” he said, reaching for your mouth.
You dipped your fingers into his hair, grasping, bringing you against him until instinct took over and you rolled your hips, feeling his teeth nip you through the kiss. A low rumble came from him, his hand grasping your hip. “Careful, love,” he warned, nipping at your neck, your hands gripping the strands of dark hair. “Or I’ll be in a hurry.”
You smiled. Genuinely smiled. It was the first time in what felt like ages that the stretch of your lips felt real. You’d been living a lie for two years and now, straddling this dark prince of Gods, you knew this is where you belonged.
He brought his mouth back to yours. “Runaway with me,” he said, splaying both hands down the length of your back. “Please.”
You closed your eyes, kissing his jaw, down his neck, rolling your hips until you knew just how much of him you’d be dealing with. That low rumble came back, his hand snapping out and gripping your neck. With a hiss, he brought you back until you could meet his eyes.
You gulped, but you couldn’t help the knot of arousal coiling in your belly. “Don’t play with me,” he warned, eyes dark in the dimly lit room.
The left corner of your mouth tugged up and you barely saw him move. You knew he had superhuman strength and speed, but you’d never seen him use it before. And now, one moment you were straddling him, the next you were on the floor, Loki poised menacingly between your legs.
When you looked up, panting, the pressure of Loki’s hand around your throat, his eyes were hooded.
“Touch me,” he said.
You felt the heat pouring into your face, but the hand around your neck eased until it grasped onto yours, guiding it to Loki’s arousal. He was so warm, so hard as you pressed your hand against him, eliciting a low groan from him.
You watched him as his head bent slightly, eyes shutting, grasping him through his pants. He seemed to tremble, both hands in fists either side of your head. And then he let out a low groan, his mouth brushing yours.
“The things you fucking do to me, love,” he whispered against your mouth before kissing you so hard you saw stars.
He grabbed onto both sides of your jeans and tugged, making you lose touch with him and sliding softly on the floor. He smiled, kissing your neck down to the swell of your breast until he was face to face with the apex between your legs. He tugged again when you slowly rose your hips from the ground, watching him, seeing the way his eyes drank you in like a drug.
Your jeans hit the ground and you instinctively closed your legs, but Loki’s long fingers on your knees pushed them apart as he settled there, his mouth finding home on the flesh of your neck.
“I don’t think I’ll be able to,” he mumbled, fingers playing along the inside of your thigh, “but you can stop me if you want.”
Something akin to awe swelled in your chest and you grabbed onto his face, bringing his mouth back onto yours. He grunted, moving until your left leg was wide open for him.
His fingers delicately pushed your panties aside, his mouth nipping at yours. You trembled, not because it was cold, and he sensed the way your bones seemed to flutter. “I got you, baby,” he whispered, two long, warm fingers finding your clit and rubbing slow, tentative circles that made you arch your back.
Loki dipped his chin, grasping a nipple in his mouth through your shirt. You’d stopped wearing bras since the last time you’d seen him.
A whimper left you as Loki continued his ministrations, the pressure just right, the circles so languid. You lost yourself to the rhythm, rolling your hips into his hand, his mouth kissing up your neck and leaving a trail purely his.
“Yeah?” he whispered in your ear, the pressure on his fingers increasing and you mewled, grasping his hair. “That’s a good girl, huh.” You flushed, lost in the storm of his words and the way his hand felt so fucking good.
The pressure on your nub left momentarily, replaced by a long finger easing into you. Loki let out a low groan. “Gods, you’re so soft and wet.” His voice was like pure sin as his thumb found your nub and he gently rubbed, finding the perfect rhythm for you.
You arched your back as his finger found that soft spot in you, a cry passing through clenched teeth.
“That feel good, love?” he muttered against your neck, kissing and biting. “Tell me.”
“Yes,” you moaned, the combined pleasure of his thumb and finger in and on you making you a complete puddle.
He chuckled, something dark seeping from him, as he slowly started to lower himself until he was face to face with you. A blush crept up your face and he watched what he was doing to you.
“So pretty,” he mumbled, and you saw him lower his mouth until his tongue made a bold swipe, replacing his thumb, and you all but cried out, chest arching off the floor. “That’s more like it,” his breathed against you.
And then he all but made you toss yourself off the edge. His tongue was a gift sent from the Gods, and the more he sucked and swirled your clit, his finger easing in and out of you, the closer you got to a real precipice.
There was a knot in your belly, and whenever Loki’s tongue pressed ever so slightly against your core, you swore you almost broke.
“Loki, I’m... oh God.” You reached down to grasp his hair.
His pace seemed to quicken ever the slightest, his tongue working wonders against your clit until your insides felt like lead and that knot threatened to erupt. When he added another finger, so easily, you gasped, a broken moan clenched in your mouth, as the edge came and you toppled, Loki’s name on your tongue.
You were vaguely aware of Loki as he kissed the inside of your thigh, wiping his mouth onto your flesh. You were a puddle, breathing erratic as he loomed over you.
“Runaway with me, Y/N,” he whispered, kissing your neck, your jaw, claiming your mouth and forcing you to taste yourself. “Come on,” he murmured, hands skimming your ribcage. “I could have you cumming for me like this every day.”
The thought made you smile.
He grabbed your hand and kissed your palm, tugging until you could sit up and meet his gaze.
“I’m begging you,” he continued, his voice so low, so thick as he kissed your hairline.
You breathed in. “Okay.”
AAAAHHHHHH = me writing smut always. PART THIRTEEN ALREADY IN THE WORKS!!!

A Ghost of Pain
“The syndrome is called phantom limb. It's as if the body can't accept that a terrible trauma has occurred. The mind is trying to make the body complete again."
You would think that Bucky's mind and body would accept the lost by now.
But despite the 70 years he spent without a flesh and bone arm he didn't really have time to process it. He was an assassin, his metal arm was a weapon. Not the main one. But it was one. When it wasn't a weapon it was a shield. HYDRA never had much interest in telling him what to do with the arm. Only to hurt the target. To get the mission done. By whatever means necessary.
He felt it sometimes. The pain that came when he was hit. When he shieded himself from bullets, or a knife to the arm. It was only after that he felt it, the adranile didn't let him feel it until later. He was never wired to care about himself. Why let a weapon have emotions?
It was different now. The new arm that Shuri made was different. The receptors were different, they didn't feel the pain. He didn't really feel much. He felt the heat and cold of things, but it was less than other people. If he dunked his hand into a pot of boiling water he wouldn't feel it, it would probably just feel like bath water to him. If someone pinched his hand he wouldn't be able to feel the pain, only that someone was pinching him. He would feel something happening, but not the pain of it.
It was great really, Shuri did an incredible job. Because of course she did. She's Shuri. But it had some disadvantages.
He couldn't feel nice things. Like the soft white fur that Alpine was coated with or the feeling of the paper of a book he was reading. It seemed simple, but he missed it.
He had his other hand though. When he shook peoples hands-which he didn't do much-he used his right hand, mostly just to feel their skin. He memorized how certain people's hands felt. Only certain people, the ones he cared about.
Sam for instance had rougher hands, calluses on his fingertips and the edge of his palms. But they had this comforting squeeze and heat to them.
Steve-the other one he memorized-had softer hands. For some reason. The guy must've used one hell of a moisturizer. He had a firm grip. One that just told you that you could trust him.
They were probably the only ones. He didn't really like or trust anyone else. Although he did have the vague memory of shaking the big boy's hand and just feeling the mixture of softness and roughness that probably came from several years spent working tech. Now that he thought about it Tony's hand probably felt the same, maybe rougher though, either from age or from the larger number of years spent working.
Now he was only thinking of this because he and Sam had just gotten back from a mission, where out of a pure amount of urgency Bucky had blocked Sam with his arm. The bullet that was aimed at Sam's head, had ricocheted back into the guy's-the one that shot the gun-foot.
Sam had given him a worried look, a nod, a quick thanks, then they were off again.
Now Sam was talking on the phone in their shared kitchen while Bucky contemplated life and being able to physically feel things on the couch in the living room. (They've lived together for a couple months at this point.)
Sam was probably just talking to Fury about the mission, sure he could read the report but it's Fury.
Bucky zoned out on what Sam was saying into his end of the phone. And instead focused on the ghost of the pain where the bullet hit. It didn't hurt, but he could feel it. Like someone had pinched his human arm. That pain went away eventually, but then the phantom pain started.
That's what doctors called it, something about nerves and brainstems. He never really paid attention to that part. He just paid attention to the pain that he felt. Like his arm was still there. Like his arm was bruised and broken and being ripped from the rest of his body. That hurt.
Bucky bit down hard on his lip, trying to find something else to distract him so he didn't hurt himself even more. It didn't stop, but it didn't get worse so that was a win. A grey win. But still a win.
But then it got worse, the point where the metal met the skin on his body itched. Like it was on fire, kind of itchy.
All together it was a kind of pain that made you want to curl into a ball and cry yourself to sleep.
He was so stuck in his head he didn't even notice the quiet steps of Sam coming into the room.
His voice was quiet, or maybe that was just Bucky blocking everything out. "Buck." Sam kneeled down in front of him. "Can I touch you?"
Bucky nodded.
Sam placed a gentle hand on his left arm. The metal one. Bucky grunted and scrunched his face up, sitting a little straighter. Sam backed up and held his hands in the air.
Bucky shook his head. "Sorry. You're fine, it's just." He took a breath. "It's just that I can't feel you. Your skin. With my left arm."
Sam let his hands fall and cocked his head. "What?"
Bucky reached out, taking the edge of Sam's hands and pulling him gently over to the couch to sit next to him. Sam went willingly, settling into the couch.
Bucky began again, trying to ignore the pain still coursing through the top of his left side. "I can't feel a lot of things with my left arm. Mostly nice things, like when I pet Alpine, I can't feel her fur. Or when I touch someone or they touch me, just the feel of their skin. I can sense that they're there but I don't know what it feels like."
"So when you touch me on the metal part, it feels like nothing is really happening, like you aren't even real. It's kind of scary, and painful." He finished, finally making eye contact with Sam. There wasn't pity, or sadness. Just Sam. Trying to contemplate what he heard.
He nodded. Reaching out to put a gentle hand on Bucky's right hand. Bucky let him unfold his fingers. Sam ran the pad of his fingers over Bucky's hands. It was like he was memorizing the lines on his fingers and palms. "I'm here." Sam murmured. Almost inaudibly, but Bucky has super hearing and Sam was only a good 6 inches away from him.
Then Sam seemed to notice something else.
The way Bucky had gone back to chewing on his lip or the way his shoulders tensed. They both knew it wasn't from Sam touching his hand like it was valuable treasure that needed to be protected. "And you're in pain." He met Bucky's eye.
Bucky shrugged. "It's just my arm. The metal one." He added for unneeded clarification. "Just itching and phantom pain, no biggie."
Sam raised his eyebrows and his eyes flashed. "Bucky, that's not a no biggie." He sighed heavily. "Did the bullet start it?"
Bucky shrugged again. "Maybe, I don't really know how it starts. But I don't know how to stop it."
"I'm sorry." Sam mumbled. "Have you tried taking a bath?"
Bucky nodded. "Yeah that's what the doctor said, but the heat bothers me. The itching already burns."
Sam nodded. "What if I like." He looks like he's thinking about his next words carefully. "Massaged it." Sam was still holding on to his hand.
Bucky nodded. "You can try."
Without moving Sam motioned his head towards Bucky's shirt. Bucky got the message and pulled it over his head. Fighting the desire to curl in and hide the ugly scarring.
Sam's voice startles him, pulling him out of his own head. "It's not as scary as you think it is. I wouldn't say it's beautiful. I don't think your trauma deserves that. But I think it shows you're human. You can scar just like the rest of us."
Bucky mumbles out a thank you.
Sam smiles and nods. "Do you want to face me or are you okay facing the other way?"
Bucky rocked slightly. "I can face the other way."
He turned, and once he was settled he could feel the gentle prodding of Sam's hands. Easing the pain away. Maybe they should have a talk later about whether friends aren't normally this intimate with each other. But that was for a later time in his life.
Maybe it was Sam's hands or just the fact that he had one hell of a day. But the last thing he remembers before letting himself settle on Sam's chest, his fingers intertwined with the other mans, was the general feeling of the lack of pain. And the vulnerable feeling of wanting nothing more than to stay in this perfect way forever.
But that wouldn't happen and that was okay. Because he didn't feel the need to ignore it anymore and hoped it just went away. He didn't need to ignore the painful reminder that he was once more than just someone's weapon. That he could be more than someone's weapon. That he was Bucky and he was observant enough to notice how different each person's hands felt under his own.

24. Enji Todoroki
Theme: Monster hunter
Kinks: Outdoor sex, rope play, voyeurism (if you squint), oral (giving), face fucking, cream pie, slight breeding kink (it’s Enji we’re talking about, come on)
Masterlist
This was supposed to come out on Saturday, but if you read a post I wrote earlier I’m visiting my boyfriend whom I haven’t seen a long while. This one and the next chapter is going to running late, but I plan on catching up with the rest so that everything else will be posted on schedule.
With that being said, ENDEAVOR FUCKERS COME GET YOUR FOOD!
EDIT: 04/26/2021 Idiots really be out here not paying attention to when a character starts giving somebody a blowjob and they start talking. Like you can’t talk with your mouth full. It’s me. I’m idiots.
You had to crane your neck to look at the man. He was taller—no. That wasn't right. He was taller than tall. He was enormous. When you left to answer the door to your cottage, you didn't know what or who you would be expecting. Certainly not this. Hair red as flames, eyes the sea's color after a storm, and a body completely encased in hard muscle. The stranger was clad in leather armor and a wool coat. He wore a grimace that would make babies weep.
"C-Can I help you, sir?"
"Enji, here! Let me through. I can address the situation better than you can!"
Another stranger brushed past the one standing in your doorway. He was blonde, shorter than his partner, and held himself differently than the other.
"Hi, I'm Keigo, and this is my boss, Enji. We heard a rumor that you could help us," said the blonde stranger.
"W-What can I help you with?" You stuttered.
"You see, we were in the area—"
"We hunt monsters," said the enormous one, Enji.
Blood drained from your face. 'Monster hunters'? They hunted monsters—vampires, ghouls, werewolves, succubi and incubi, and, of course, witches. You slowly backed away from the door.
"Relax, we're not here for you. There aren't any complaints or bounties out on you," said Keigo.
"There are only two kinds of witches, dead ones and the ones who haven't lost their humanity." Enji's eyes looked at you up and down. "And you don't appear to be the former."
"What my boss means to say is that you are the kind of witch who helps people. You don't summon ghosts or dig up graves of the recently deceased for their bones, do you?"
You rapidly shook your head. "NO!"
"We were recommended your services from someone in the local village. They said you were an expert in this particular matter," said Keigo.
Without invitation, the pair of hunters crossed the threshold of your door. You ran to the kitchen to put a kettle on the fire. If your guests were going to barge in and make themselves comfortable, you were at least going to make yourself a cup of tea to calm your nerves.
"Twenty miles from here," said Enji, "A trickster spirit has been causing havoc. Farm animals have gone missing and later found strewn on top of barns. Guts missing. Women are getting pregnant at the same time without any one of them committing adultery. Shrines and courthouses have had their doors blocked by piles of manure. They say it's a malevolent spirit brought along by a tradesman. They also say that your protection and banishing spells are the best in the area."
"Well, I don't know about that," you said.
Your palms were getting clammy with sweat. You made three cups of tea and set an antique tray on the coffee table between you. You focused on pouring an even amount in each cup though you could not ignore the pair of eyes lingering on you. You could feel a pair of eyes on your every movement, but you couldn't tell which one was staring. You pushed two cups towards the men and settled yourself down in a cozy armchair, taking your tea with you. You expected the monster hunters to rudely throw your tea over their shoulders or inspect the drink and the cups and the saucers to boot. But they didn't. Keigo and Enji were perfectly comfortable and trusted you enough to drink without suspicion of you trying to kill them or turn them into animals.
"Has anyone seen this creature, because I've never heard anything like it," you said.
"Unfortunately, no," said Enji. He sipped his tea with the air of a gentleman. He certainly didn't look like one because of his size and his leathers, but he pretended to be one as he drank your tea.
"The thing is, trickster spirits usually dismember cattle or get women pregnant, but rarely do both," you said. "So, you might be looking at one trickster and a hustler who's telling the women he knocks up to blame the creature."
"It can't be both?" Asked Keigo.
You shook your head again. "It's either one or the other. Disemboweling cattle and impregnating random mortal women are two different natures. I will eat my broomstick if I turn out to be wrong."
"How soon can you pack?" It was Enji this time.
You furrowed your brows. You glanced over at Keigo, who seemed equally surprised. This hadn't been something they planned together.
"Are you expecting me to go with you?"
"We can't cast spells like you can, and you seem to be more knowledgeable about the subject than us."
"But I—" You started to protest only for Enji to stop you.
"You'll be compensated for your troubles," said Enji.
He fixed you with a piercing look. You swallowed hard and sank into your chair.
"Can I finish my tea first?" You took a sip.
Enji gave you two hours to get things together. You made a pack that should last you a couple of weeks. You didn't know if Enji realized that you had no horse and would have to walk all the way with them. They probably had horses but weren't going to share. By the end of this, you were going to wring as much compensation out of them as you could. You secured all the windows, hid all your valuables in the floorboards, and locked the front door. You heard a pair of horses neighing at your gates and sighed to yourself.
Enji and Keigo were getting ready to hop on. Enji grabbed your bag and handed it off to Keigo, who tied it with his saddlebag. To compensate for his large size, Enji's horse was a Clydesdale, a huge horse with a neatly trimmed mane. Enji held his hand out to you. Confused, you took it. His large hands held unto your waist, and he lifted you unto the saddle without effort. Like you weighed no more than a couple of grapes. Then, Enji sat down in the saddle with you. Your legs dangled off the side rather helplessly. You looked behind Enji's massive shoulder over at Keigo, who looked just as confused as you and shrugged his shoulders. Enji pulled he reigns of his horse and brought it to a trot.
That night, the three of you sat around a fire. Enji stood up and said something about getting extra firewood. You waited until he was outside of earshot.
"What the hell is the deal with your partner? Is he always like this?"
"He is the way that he is because of his past. He used to be a bureaucrat if you can believe it," said Keigo.
"I don't."
"It's the truth whether you believe me or not. Enji spent most of his life kissing ass and licking boots. He pushed his children away because of his politicking. Drove his wife insane. One day, he had to travel to the far east of the kingdom because his king wanted him to, despite his family's protests. Enji went anyway. When he came back, his wife was dead, and his children moved away. He turned to fighting monsters, the kind that killed his wife, to make up for the bullshit he'd done. His kids still don't talk to him, but he makes sure they're doing alright."
You stared at Keigo.
"You asked why he's like that, and I told you. Sorry if it's over-sharing," said Keigo.
Enji returned with a bundle of wood. His back was turned towards you as he rekindled the bonfire. You remembered how his eyes looked at you. What did he see?
Dawn came sooner than you thought. You were on the road again, and by late afternoon you arrived at your destination. The village was smaller than yours and was warier of your abilities. You salted the roof of every building, including the ones that still had dried blood on them from the last time an animal carcass had been dumped. You placed a charm over every door, front and back.
Then, all the hunters had to do was wait.
You lurked behind a stack of barrels and crates as soon as the sun began to set. Enji and Keigo set up shop in the village square. The creature, whatever it was, had no room to go anywhere. With every door bolted and roof blessed with salt, it had nowhere to hide. Night descended slowly as if to give the creature more time to rest or find a new hiding spot. Lights flickered out in every window in the village square; all the others followed suit. You clutched a long knife in your hand.
Out of a barn, it came bursting through wood and hay. It had a long body but very little muscle mass, like a snake with four legs and antlers like a deer driven through moss. Its hiss echoed through the echoed and made the rafters of buildings shudder. You were thrown to the ground by the power of its roar. You fumbled to your knees to get a good look at the creature who'd been terrorizing the poor villagers. At the beast ripped through the barn, salt scattered off the roof and landed on its serpentine body. The thing fell to the ground, twisting and writhing on its back while trying to shake off the salt.
Keigo and Enji rushed over, weapons in hand. Swords glinted like silver fangs in the night's darkness. Though weak, the creature managed to roll unto his feet and charged at them. But Enji and Keigo were faster than that.
Being smaller and younger, Keigo slid around to the creature's side and plunged his sword into its stomach. Or at least the approximate location of where its stomach was located. Its body was so long and thin, it was hard to tell which organs lay where. The monster was about to swerve and turn its jagged teeth on him when Enji's long claymore cut through its neck at the base of the skull. The village square was so quiet that you heard metal plunging deep into flesh and the snap of bone. You watched by moonlight Enji's foot crack open the skull and drive his sword deeper into its neck. The creature squealed like a pig at the slaughterhouse. It clawed and snapped its teeth, but there was no moving. Keigo pulled his sword out and pushed it back in. Eventually, the creature stopped moving.
The following morning, the sleepy village woke to the grotesque smell of demon flesh burning on a pyre. You helped Enji and Keigo erect it in a barren field and set it ablaze with a simple fire spell. Though they hated the smell, they were at least grateful to have the monster disposed of. Now, they just had to worry about one other problem. You looked around at the crowd that gathered to watch the fell beast burn. Although you couldn't tell how many were secretly still within the first month, several women looked pregnant.
"Let me stay a while to find out who's getting these women pregnant. This isn't natural, you told Enji.
"Very well," he said. "I'll have a talk with the mayor about letting us stay in his barn."
"You don't have to stick around. Your job's done here, isn't it? They paid you, right?"
"Would you rather walk twenty miles back to your cottage?" Enji asked.
"N-no," you answered.
"Then, we're staying."
That was that. You tried to coax Enji into leaving. You didn't need protection, and you were okay with walking home. Hell, you could have paid for a horse or even a donkey to ride back since he did give you one-third of the money earned from slaying the creature. Enji heard none of your protests, folded his arms across his massive chest, and looked sternly down at you. You felt dwarfed in his presence. His smoldering eyes were not suited for it, and he was insistent in ways you couldn't believe. Keigo said so himself one evening into your third night at the village.
"He's never been like this before. Are you sure you didn't cast a love spell on him, Miss Hocus Pocus?" Asked Keigo.
"No!" You said vehemently and tossed a balled-up dirty sock at him. "That is highly unethical, to say the least. I would never manipulate someone's emotions like that!"
"Find anything?"
You interviewed every woman who had gotten pregnant. They conceived at almost the exact time. That wouldn't usually be an issue if it was winter or a recent festival had taken place. Neither hadn't. They couldn't blame lousy weather for sequestering them with bored husbands or lovers. The fact that they got pregnant at almost the same time disturbed you the most. A couple had already terminated the pregnancies because of embarrassment, but you didn't blame them. Threw a small wrench in your investigation, though.
You let yourself out of the humble cottage where a woman told her story to you. You pinched the bridge of your nose and sighed. Enji was waiting for you by the cottage's fence.
"None of the stories match up. Now that they can't blame the monster, they came up with their own lies. Babies don't just magically appear out of nowhere. Someone is getting them pregnant. They're either protecting them or too embarrassed to admit who it is. It certainly isn't any of their husbands and lovers, that I can tell you."
You and Enji walked over to the only tavern in the area. It was the only well-built thing in the village, aside from the mayor's house and the town hall. A few men clapped Enji on the back in gratitude for saving their livestock, but they never noticed you. Both of you took a seat at the bar. Enji paid for your drink since nobody seemed to care that you lent a helping hand with the monster. Enji's drinks were on the house. The beer was a little stale, but not the worst you ever had.
A couple swigs in and Enji started asking you questions.
"Where did you learn your Craft?"
"From my father," you answered.
"Your father? I thought it was passed down maternally?
You slumped in your seat. "It is in some cases. My mother never showed up, and that left my father to raise me by himself. She left the day after she gave birth and never returned. My father is a good man and even better witch." You downed your mug of beer. "Have you ever killed a witch yourself, Enji?" You asked.
Enji looked over at his mug. His eyes became steely and set in stone. They lingered on your neck before traveling up to your eyes.
"Once, but I wouldn't call her a witch. She gave folks like you a bad name. She was an awful hag. Like to turn lost or kidnapped children into swine and sell them at marketplaces where they were taken to slaughterhouses. When she was bored, she disguised herself as a beautiful woman and danced naked around a bonfire. She lured men who would hear her. She slept with them to drain them of their virility. By the time I had gotten there, the village was in misery."
"What did you do to her?" You almost didn't want to know the answer, but there was small comfort in that Enji didn't compare you to an evil hag.
Enji drained his mug in one go. He practically slammed it on the counter. All but two minutes passed before another appeared in his hand. Enji drank half of it before saying anything at all.
"I lay in wait for her after I followed some kids into the woods. They were lured there by one of her magic spells. I kept the kids in a net so they wouldn't go into the house. She tried to kill me with a knife, cut my arms up, but she didn't stand a chance. She hadn't been prepared for a fully grown monster on her doorstep instead of three kids. I took a chain hanging off her rafters and strangled her. I cut out her heart, burned it, and. Then set the rest of the house on fire too. I dragged the kids back to their parents without too much trauma. As far as I'm aware, they haven't had any problems ever since."
You stared into your beer mug, which was about halfway empty by this point. You knocked it back and slammed it on the counter. Enji bought you another. About half an hour into your drinking, Enji left the seat next to yours to take a piss. You stared into your mug again when you felt someone pull up to the bar on the other side of you. He was young, handsome, and wore a broad smile. His sandy-blonde hair was pushed back away from his face in a way that reminded you of Keigo, but his eyes were the wrong color. Blue-colored crystals beamed at you. The color of his eyes was beautiful, but they left you unnerved.
"You're seeing the monster hunter, Enji, right? You're his wife or something?"
"What? No, I'm not his anything. He asked me for help, and I agreed. I was pleasantly compensated. With money." You added sharply in case the young fool tried to twist your words.
"I see," the stranger said. "I thought that someone as pretty as you wouldn't get involved with a man old enough to be your father."
"I don't see how it's any concern of yours, fop," you sniped.
The young man bit his lower lip. You thought you saw his hand disappear into his vest, but you had a couple of drinks in you and couldn't tell for certain.
"Well, well, well. The little white witch has some spunk. Here, I thought you were just a mistress, tagging along because of the old man's jealousy. Now I see that you've got quite the fire in you."
You wanted to gag. It would be a simple task to make him vomit in turn or make him stink of skunk for the rest of his life. Your father always taught you that curses should only be used when absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, being rude and horny didn't qualify as absolutely necessary.
"How bout you ditch the old man and come with me. I have some friends with some good stuff. The best wine you've ever had. What do you say?" The young man continued to pester.
You had just opened your mouth when Enji's hand appeared out of nowhere. The man stood beside you and reached for your mug. He brought it to his lips and drained the last of your beer.
"I think she's outgrown your company," Enji growled. "You should move along."
The stranger reluctantly got out of his seat and walked away. He still wore a small on his face as he did so.
"I think we should head out. I don't think we should meddle in the village's personal affairs. It'll sort itself out eventually," said Enji.
"But—"
"It shouldn't concern you."
You didn't want to leave, but some part of you realized that Enji was right. You had no clues, and none of the women were going to tell you the truth. You didn't live here, so why spend so much time and effort on people weren't really your concern? If they really needed you, they could come and pay for it. Still, you were a little reluctant to pack and leave the villagers and their unsolved mystery behind. You waited by the horses as Enji and Keigo finished some last-minute business with the mayor. What they could be discussing, you could hardly venture to say. When it came time for you all to climb on, Enji handed you over to Keigo instead of helping you unto his Clydesdale. The change was odd, but you didn't overthink it.
A couple hours into the ride, you noticed Enji wiping his brow more than usual. It was a mild day and, for the most part, was covered by the trees from the sun. He didn't glance at you. At sunset, Enji took his horse and pack and traveled a bit further than you all. He set up his own camp where you and Keigo couldn't see him.
"What's he doing? Wouldn't it be better to camp together? That can't be very safe," you said to Keigo.
"He's…feeling a bit under the weather. Doesn't want to spread it to either of us." Keigo's answer would have satisfied anyone else.
"He was perfectly fine all day," you counted. "What could he have caught?"
You stood up and started in the direction where Enji disappeared. Keigo hopped in front of you a moment later. He spread his arms out as if that would be enough to deter you.
"I can't let you do that, Y/N. He told me to keep you safe, so that's what I'm—"
You grabbed a handful of sleeping powder from the satchel hanging on your waist. You usually carried an assortment of these spell powders on you in case of emergencies. While your life wasn't in danger, Keigo was stubborn. You cradled the lavender powder in your hand and blew a puff of air into it. Your hand was aligned with his face to blow the powder into it. Keigo coughed and wheezed for a minute before his eyelids drew closed. Keigo was snoring face down in the dirt in less than two minutes.
You trekked through the woods, snapping every twig along the way. Through the bushes, you spotted a smaller campfire and then a horse tether to an oak tree. Enji stood at the farthest end of his encampment. His back was turned towards you. You tip-toed quietly to avoid startling him. The closer you stepped, the more awkward the scene became. Enji's right arm was shaking with effort while his left hand braced against a tree. He was panting and grunting. But what shocked you was the way he said 'your' name. It didn't take very long for you to figure out what he was doing and why he camped away from you guys.
"Fuck, Y/N."
At first, you thought he noticed you creeping on him from behind. With an animalistic groan and a quiet splatter, you realized that he finished himself off with your name on his tongue. Enji leaned his forehead against the trunk. He moaned as if in pain. He looked down, swore, and started again.
You took a few steps closer.
“Enji?" You called out.
You were within arms' length of him when Enji turned around. His face was red as hair, but not nearly as red as the bulging head of his cock. You blushed immediately and swallowed hard at its size. Enji didn't move his hand, which fisted his cock, but he didn't remove his hand and hide.
"The man put something…in your drink this afternoon. I was coming back when I saw him pour a vial of pink potion in your mug."
You remembered the stranger and how he pressed and prodded. You thought you saw his hand dig into his vest. However, you'd been drinking and couldn't tell for sure. It dawned on you that Enji drank your laced beer before you made a terrible mistake. You shuddered, thinking about what could have happened had you drank it before Enji could get to it.
"You're in pain…because of me. You saved me from getting drugged and raped by a stranger. That love potion…is causing this, just as it's caused all of those pregnancies in the village?"
You watched the beads of sweat roll down Enji's face and neck. Enji nodded.
"You should go back. Keigo will protect you from me. I shouldn't be around you when I'm like this," said Enji.
His eyes flickered to your chest, then he forced them back to your face; they trailed down your neck again. Enji snapped his eyes shut and started to turn around. You grabbed his right arm and sank to your knees.
"You let yourself be drugged to save me. You're in pain. I'm a healer, so," you took a deep breath, "let me help you."
Enji didn't give you a warning before shoving himself into your mouth. Your jaw was already open wide for him, but that didn't keep them from straining with the effort. He was thick as a horse cock, veiny, and reached the back of your throat. Enji held your head between his large hands as he snapped his hips into your mouth. You struggled to breathe through your nose while Enji thoroughly fucked your throat.
He growled like an animal. The sound erupting from his throat almost drowned out the desperate whines coming from yours. You laved your tongue over him and sucked in your cheeks to help things move along. You clawed at his thighs then held unto his hips. They moved faster, snapping into your mouth without hesitation. Enji's vigor was nothing like you seen or felt before. His cock filled your mouth and stretched you open without even trying.
"Brace yourself, Y/N. I'm about to come. Be a good girl and let me come down your throat," Enji growled.
A second later, your face was thrust into his crotch. Your nose brushed against the forest of curly red hair. His balls felt hot against your chin. Last but not least, Enji's cock reached all the way back into your mouth. You could feel him bulging in your throat. Your jaws ached as your mouth swelled up with his cum. The substance leaked out of the corner of your mouth. Enji did not pull out until the rest dripped down the inside of your throat. You were the one to pant like a dog in heat when he finally pulled out.
You gasped when your senses came back to you. Enij's chest was still heaving for breath, and sweat rolled down his exposed skin. His armor was ditched in a pile near his campfire. His gray shirt stuck to his skin where his sweat soaked through. Still protruding from his black trousers was his red cock.
"Shit. This is going to be a lot harder than I thought," you said in all seriousness.
"Wait here."
Enji didn't bother to tuck himself in before walking to his pack. He pulled out a length of rope and carried it back. You tried not to stare at his member as it bobbed freely in his long strides back towards you.
Enji threw the down at the base of the tree. His broad hands took you by the shoulders and pinned your back against it. Next, they went to work on your clothes. Enji snipped the corset laces at your end with a knife on his belt. His hands tore open your shift and skirt to make way for him. Once most of your skin was exposed to him, Enji grabbed your hands, pulled them above your head, and tied them with rope. To one end, you. At the other end, he looped around the nearest branch and fastened a knot there. Your feet could barely touch the ground when he finished.
Your legs were quickly spread and hoisted over his hips. Enji lined himself up to your slit. The angry, blunt head spread open your cunt, lubricated by the juices freely flowing. Enji's hands cupped each of your ass cheeks and squeezed hard as he bottomed out. He felt so much more prominent in your throat than in your cunt, but that didn't feel less substantial. Enji's cock still was hard, thick, and ridged. Your walls fluttered around him.
"You wet for me already?" Enji wiped a bead of sweat from his brow.
He didn't give you a chance to reply before starting. Enji pulled out most of the way until just the tip remained. He pushed all the way in again, balls deep. Repeating the process, Enji thrust faster and harder. You arched your back though your body strained against him and the ropes keeping you off the ground. Your shoulders and arms were going to burn like hell tomorrow, but at the moment, it didn't fucking matter.
Your breasts were smashed against his hard chest. The friction tweaked your nipples into stiff peaks. Enji lowered his face to kiss and bite your neck. Latching onto your shoulder did little to muffle the sound erupting from his throat. He was an animal in heat. Your legs bounced with every thrust of his deep inside your body.
You tried to meet him thrust for thrust, pushing your hips against his. After a while, it was a vain effort. Despite your youth, you couldn't imagine keeping up with him. You quickly gave up and handed Enji the power.
He didn't say much. There were no your cunt feels like it was made for my cock or you take it so well as a bitch in heat. Enji could have said those things and more. He was focused on completing as soon as possible so as not to further harm you. He grunted like a beast but made no effort to verbally degrade you.
When your walls fluttered around him again and squeezed his cock, Enji followed suit. Ropes of cum warmed your lower belly. Then, and only then did Enji speak up.
"Is it wrong for wanting to imagine you fucking swollen with my baby inside you? You're so fucking full of my seed, aren't you, Y/N?"
You could barely nod. The thought shocked you for a moment, and you didn't know if you wanted it. Time would only tell.

Chapter 8: Right Here
Maia:
I let out a deep sigh, folding another pastel pink little onesie, labeled with a cute message- Daddy's girl and Mommy's world. It's been 12 weeks since the... incident. The house feels so cold sometimes. Like there's a huge hole in the middle burrowing down to the foundation and everyone else but me seems to notice it. it's a new year with new life on the horizon but it feels so bittersweet. I finished folding the impossible little garment, tucking it away in a drawer and sat down on the bed staring at a Pine tree in the distance, birds caring out their daily rituals. Diving for food gracefully and bringing it into some deep part of the tree.
I could imagine seeing a scraggily looking mess of sticks, moss, and oddities with two little hatchlings poking their heads up, eyes not yet open, away from danger ready for their mother to feed them. I could feel the heat creeping in behind my eyes. my vision blurring with salty tears threatening to spill over my eyelids. I flopped down on our bed, taking Dean's pillow and pressing it to my chest resting the cold fabric under my chin as I let the levee break.
*Flashback:
Dean kept pummeling his brother, now parallel with the floorboards. Sam's face was beaten almost to unrecognition a swollen mess of blood and shame. Dean's frame straddling him for better leverage. No words were said, no they were instead spoken with force of flesh against bone and splitting skin. the only sounds were grunts of pain and from dean rage- a result of his brother's deep seated betrayal.
Dean's claws ripped into Sam's flesh tearing slashes into his clothes with dark red bubbling up from the gashes. I heaved myself up sitting on the floor, shuddering as my folds brushed the coldness. I was still half-naked.
"Dean!" I choked out, my voice raw from Sam choking me. I was alive, Little Bean was no longer in danger, thrashed around, traumatized yes but existing. My pleas did not reach my mate's ears. His veins racked with feral toxins. Dean's hand grasped his brother's throat, Sam desperate for oxygen, gasping loudly and gurgling from blood.
Dean's tenacious grip came away, Sam wheezing wildly and coughing, spitting up blood. his chest heaving. Dean stood away from Sam, taking something out of his back the metal object glinting in the faint light. I could hear the distinct clicking of the hammer of a gun being pulled back. He aimed it at Sam's chest. In the dimness I could just make out my Love's facial features bending at the thought of what he wanted to do. All it would take was a light squeeze of that trigger and no more Sam. I gasped, "ALPHA! Do you want to kill your brother?"
After a long moment he put the hammer back in its slot and chucked the gun away shattering the glass hard-candy jar that sat on the counter in its corner. Descending down to his brother's right calf his boot digging into Sam's tibia, the pressure gaining intensity until Dean executed swift strain. A loud crack rang out followed by a pained yell coming from Sam. Dean took the collar of his brother's coat into his hands dragging him across the floor, Sam still whimpering from the pain of his broken leg. Dean kicked the front door open. Flinging Sam's body outside, past the porch, landing in the dirt.
"Don't come back. You step foot on this porch again and I'll rip your dick off and make you choke on it. You hear me?! Get the fuck out of my sight." He warned closing the door with a loud bang that made me jump. Dean came back into view stepping over Cas' form still knocked out. He didn't have the focus to pay attention to the Angel, instead all that mattered to him was me. Dean leaned down his arm slipping under my legs, the other at my back. My lips and chin quivered and quaked.
Tears staining my face. I clutched at his shoulder, my arms running over his shoulders hanging on for dear life. I broke in his arms as he heaved me up, a bit more difficult now that I was heavier but I doubt such a thing would pose as a real challenge to him. I wept into my mate, the shock and events of what had just happened racing through my mind. the boards in the stairs creaked under our weight, and he didn't say a word, unable to. Just staring into the abyss. He set me down on the bed. And trudged into the bathroom turning on the shower water, coming back a few minutes later. Casting his boots and socks off to his side of the bed.
He came over to me removing the rest of my clothes. He still had on his jeans and a plain black t-shirt, he'd removed his green jacket somewhere along the way. I don't think I've ever seen his eyes so, sad. He picked me up again, now naked. He took me into the shower, setting my feet down on the warming tiles. He joined me not giving two shits about his clothes getting soaked. He massaged synthetic strawberry scented shampoo into my long and thick hair, being sure to rinse it all away. The sweet scented bubbles traveling down my body. he did the same with the conditioner, massaging it into my scalp, the light pressure soothing a forming headache I'd had. and then thoroughly rinsing the substance away. The blood from my cheek disappeared in the rushing water.
He took a washcloth and squeezed some bodywash gel onto it. He started at my nape where his mark was scarred over, staring at each raised bump. Did the event of tonight remind him of the time he'd raped me induced by his own feral state? Most likely yes. He'd run the cloth over every inch of me, taking special care on my belly. When he was done he lightly pressed me under the current, watching diligently as the suds took away sweat and neutralizing Sam's pinewood scent.
The handle to the shower squeaked as he turned it off, leaving me for a moment to grab a towel. He dried me off and brought me back into the bedroom, letting me walk this time. I waited as he removed his drenched clothes and left them on the tile to sit. He grabbed his own towel and quickly dried himself off. When that was done he got himself dressed, shoving on some boxers and forgoing everything else. he went to my drawer and grabbed some underwear being careful as he guided each leg into their proper cut outs. he gave my belly a tender kiss and continued to dress me. He didn't grab a bra , figuring they'd suffer inside the stifling fabric during the night making note of their tenderness.
He grabbed one of his cotton t-shirts and scented it by rubbing the soft fabric on his neck and put it on me. My damp hair spreading cold water into the back of the shirt. He left the room again and came back with a brush from my side of the vanity. He brushed out my hair, setting firm kisses into my nape between strokes. The handle of the brush clanked on the dresser when he was done with that. We'd gone to bed not talking about anything.
************* end flashback.
The next morning I'd woke to find Dean chugging down the contents of a flask and demolishing his brother's room. I left him to his own devices. I'd tended to Cas' wounds and Bobby sat in his desk chair on the first floor the entire night, not sleeping a wink. Dean had told me what happened to Jo and I grieved. I wasn't ever going to scrub her blood off my conscious. If I hadn't made her go out, she'd still be here, smiling wide from feeling her pup wriggle for the first time. I took that from her. And I took her from Sam. Part of me thought I deserved the thrashing I got from him. Maybe I even deserved to be raped too. After all, Felix engrained what an Omega was supposed to be into my noggin for two years.
Third times the charm right? A stranger, my lover, and his demoralized little brother overcome by grief unable to overstep his boundaries enduring the sting of unrequited love. I breathed in Dean's whiskey, needing it like lifeblood. I cast Dean's pillow to the side, hauling myself up into a sitting position. My nose sniffled, being wrecked by my bout of crying. I'm sure my eyes would stay puffy for the next two hours. My attention was averted, back to the bustling birds. They continue on so quickly, it's almost like they'd been given a minuscule amount of soul. Just enough to carry on but still recognize tragedy when it struck. How many Mama birds' nests fell out of their trees? Or tiny chicken-winged babies died suddenly with no rhyme or reason?
I heard the pounding of boots down the hallway, my heavy-footed mate opening the door to see me on the bed gawking at him. I had a stack of baby clothes, booties, bonnets, knit caps- you name it we had it, stationed on the bed. Dean had a smile wide from ear to ear. Yes, please do that more often, Love.
You don't need to carry any more burdens. Just be happy.
"Looks like Santa forgot to drop something off." He commented brandishing a cardboard package. Dean has mastered the art of the hermit since my attack. He doesn't even go out for food. He'd ordered something off Amazon that he waited two weeks for. He was getting impatient and made a pissed off comment that it shouldn't take that long to ship one thing from Fresno to here.
He grabbed a knife from his bedside table drawer and used it to sever the tape. By then I had gotten up, slow being my only speed possible, a hand jutting to my back for support. I waddled over to the wall calendar and put '39 weeks- LB' in today's slot.
"Oh yeah! 'Nough of that girly shit, Bean has to wear this one." He excitedly exclaimed pronouncing the first two words like the Kool-aid commercials. I turned to see what else he'd bought.
He held up another onesie, black colored with a large white barcode and a caption underneath labeled, 'Made in Vachina'.
I smirked and then laughed as much as I could granting my lung capacity was decreasing by the day, little bean is now the size of a watermelon. She still has a little bit of time to grow. Ugh, I can't imagine what shoving her out of my vagina is going to be like. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
"No way. She's not gonna be caught dead in that atrocity. Even if it's funny." I said scuffling over to him, my lips pursing, wanting to kiss those velvet smackers but unable to bring myself to my tippy toes. He frowned at my comment but bent down and kissed me despite the tiny conflict. Just then Little Bean decided to wedge her foot between my ribs. I braced my hand on the edge of the bed and the other gripping Dean's wrist. My face scrunched uncomfortably and an arrgh sound escaped my throat.
Dean looked like a deer in headlights, still handling the new clothes, but paying keen attention to my every jagged breath. He probably thought I was going into labor, having seen way too much TV.
My unresponsiveness was killing him, "'Mega?" He requested. I shook my head.
"Foot-in-ribs." I said breathily through gritted teeth. Slowly I scooted over to my side of the bed. The only way to fix this is if I lie down and hope that she gets the picture and changes position off my ribcage. communication like this is gonna be equivalent to snail-mail, so I'd be enduring it for a couple hours. Dean followed me regardless of the confirmation that it wasn't an emergency. I got in bed with a wince and shifted to my side. Momma doesn't like it when you do this Little Bean. I exhaled facing the bathroom. Dean hovered over me, unable to take his eyes off His sweet pained Omega.
I shooed him away, "I'm fine, really. She just has a limited amount of room." I'd grunted out, the pain getting to me by the time I ended the sentence. Careful not to touch anywhere that would hurt, Dean bent down and gave me a kiss on the cheek before going back to the end of the bed to finish folding and putting away Little Bean's plethora of a wardrobe. She has more clothes than me and she can't even wear them yet! Dean had a hard time dividing his focus between the task of putting the clothes away and focusing on me.
To ease my pain he scented his pillow and set it next to me. I gave him a thumbs up and a weakened smile. Pressing it close to me. There was a box in the corner of the room nestled between the dresser and the bathroom door. It was a crib and Dean decided to tackle that today. With much frustration he got it built in an hour and a half. I liked seeing him get irked at the instruction booklet making a comment that Little Bean wasn't going into space.
I really liked the color, or hue? Maybe that's a more proper word. It reminded me of cotton candy. Conveniently it came with a pack of these wooden letters painted white. So you could spell your pups name on the side of the crib. Unfulfilling to Jo's final request, dean and i haven't talked about a name yet. He spread the letters out in order on the bed. I sat up my pains now gone and Bean moved somewhere, anywhere other than my ribs. Thank the Gods!
Dean sat down next to me running through names in his head. I was brainstorming also. I took the letters and spelled out the name Florence. Thankfully the packet came with extra letters. My lips contorted in thought my head tilting. Dean read it an jutted those eyes at me, doubtful. He cleared his throat.
"Florence, Nightingale?" He questioned before shaking his head adamantly. The famous civil war nurse? Was it really that bad? that obsolete? His turn he rearranged the letters to spell Heather, grinning and waiting for my feedback.
"Heather rhymes with Leather and I'm sure that could easily be misconstrued as a hooker name. No, sorry." He frowned and made one of those huh faces, realizing I was probably right about the hooker connection.
My turn again. I thought of something and oh boy if it wasn't perfect! I grabbed the letters to spell out, Roslyn. That's a nice name, Roslyn Winchester. It sounded good repeating it in my head. Unique but not crazy unique to where Alpha kids would pick on her for it during recess. Strong and beautiful, the perfect combination of her parents in one name. He stared at the name,
"Roslyn Winchester. Wow. I think that's it." he said getting a new found giddiness to his step as he launched himself off the bed and grabbed up the letters. He screwed them into the side of the crib standing back admiring our combined work.
Dean was highly satisfied and decided to go down to the kitchen to fix all three of us something to eat. I used that alone time to prop myself against the headboard cushioned by some pillows. Relaxing and rubbing my belly.
"Daddy likes your name Little Roslyn Bean Winchester." Dean finished his cooking and brought back two platefuls of rice spiced with chicken seasoning, topped with delicious looking chicken breast.
"Arroz con pollo mi amor." He told me in a sexy Spanish accent, rolling his r's perfectly.
I accepted the plate, "gracias!" I said playfully trying to extenuate my best accent. We ate and I fell asleep soon after only to wake up an hour or so later.
Dean was absent from the room, probably getting more baby things prepared.
"Dean?! Come here, quick!" I yell from my soft nest. His rushing boots dart up the creaky wooden stairs and rush into our room, he hung onto the doorframe to stop his momentum his boots skidding on the floor. His face full of anticipation. I had my tank top pulled up to the bottom of my breasts exposing my belly.
"Labor? Water broke? Hospital? I'll get the bag. Did I fill up Baby? Shit! I can't remember." My poor Alpha, always jumping to frantic conclusions. He's excited.
"No, no, no. Come here. Come here. She's so smart! Look, we're playing games." He came over confused. Hopping onto the bed hovering over my beach ball, then his jade colored orbs, curious turned to my face, a smiled formed on his face as he thought of something.
"Wanna play a game?" He grunted out in a very creepy tone, mimicking that stupid ass clown-doll on a tricycle. I scoffed, "shut up creep. Look, when she kicks, watch. She'll do it again in a minute." He layed down on his stomach, his face inches from my belly, his head propped up by his palms, watching and waiting in anticipation.
Her little foot kicked near my now stuck out belly button. With my index finger I pressed on the impression of her little foot, gentle. The foot left, descending back into the womb, after a little while she'd kicked back, like a game of tag.
"Maia, have you seen Alien? Cuz that's what I just saw. That's friggin' nuts! Do it again. No, let me try." Hehe, oh Dean, such a simpleton, amazed by a tiny foot. I guess that makes me a simpleton too?
I laughed, "our pup is not an alien and yes I saw it. Although Cas is definitely stoic enough to be an android. Go ahead, be gentle though." I offered. Dean waited and frowned.
"She doesn't want to play footsie with me." my eyebrows shot up and I frowned at his comment.
"A-gross, she's your daughter. B-don't say that in public. C- she loves her Papa, just be patient."
"ooo, there, touch her." I pointed to the spot where her little foot was kicking, nearer to Dean's side. He was hesitant at first but took his index finger, nearly taking up her entire little sole and pressed lightly. The foot descended and then reappeared. Dean snickered.
"ohohho. Awesome! It's like a foot-high-five! C'mon, Little Bean, gimme another one." He smiled from ear to ear, looked up at me, "Winchesters, learning kung-fu from an early age." I could get addicted to the way my mate smiles at my belly. These little moments, meant so much to me. They took away all the darkness that surrounded my life. Sure they'd always be stuck there, etched into my skull but the happiness I felt now makes me forget about them completely.
Dean gave my stomach a short rub and a loving kiss when the doorbell rang. Cas came up the steps holding a pink bag adorned with a curly pastel pink ribbon. A card wrapped in an envelope sticking out of the top. The package didn't smell like anything which I thought was quite odd. Surely it had to smell like someone. A stork didn't drop it out of the sky.
The envelope was labeled Jerk. Cas left the room knowing this package was something not for his eyes. Dean was eager to skip the card and started to remove the tissue paper instead. Wanting to know what was inside.
"Dean! Card first!" I snapped at him. He whined and put the package down on the floor. I opened the envelope with an extended claw, us werewolves and lycanthrope have letter openers built in. Just another perk. I opened the card, on its surface a cute display of teddy bear artwork. the inside in cursive printed lettering read, To my soon to be niece- may your mornings be as bright as the Sun on your face and your nights warm and safe tucked in the arms of love. I liked it's sweet message but Dean on the other hand said it was sappy. He was still bitter about the incident. Beneath the print was a handwritten note.
No words could ever take back what I did. I'm glad You and the pup are ok. Don't regret exiling me, Dean. It was the right thing to do. Maia- I hope you can take these gifts and put them to good use. They will be my only donation to my niece. You won't see me around anymore, my sins are too heavy for forgiveness. Dean- Settle down, stop hunting. You have a Mate and a Pup to take care of. They are first and foremost. You might catch a whiff of me here and there, it's just me doing what I can to eliminate threats from the den. That's the least I can do. For my niece- As a child: be well-behaved. As a youth: be well disciplined. As a middle-aged person: be honest. As an old (wo)man: be sensible. At your end, be without sorrow.
P.S.- I won't be able to cure the nightmares, but with certainty I can say that Felix will no longer pose a threat, to anyone. I hunted him down and took out his stain upon the world.
-S.W.
If I said I wasn't crying, I'd be lying. I recognized the phrases he'd intended for Roslyn as the last five Delphic Maxims. It was an homage to my faith as well as simple life advice, something he and Dean couldn't adhere to given their life of hunting. Dean looked conflicted, caught between anger, gratitude, and sadness. I closed the card and set it down in an empty space on the bed by my thigh. Dean snapped out of his thoughts and removed the rest of the tissue paper. Inside were two children's books.
"Typical Sammy, Books. Geek." Dean tried to joke but I knew he was hiding his hurt thrashing underneath his surface. The first book was titled, 'Papa please get the moon for me,' by Eric Carle. And the remaining one was, 'Mama, do you love me?' by Barbara M. Joosse. I didn't have the mental strength to open them and read them. The titles enough were the straw that broke the camel's back. I didn't cry any longer but I put the gifts on the dresser next to Roslyn's crib. I ran my fingers across the smooth painted wood. Felix is gone, Baby Girl. Momma is so, so happy. Dean came up behind me, wrapping his arms around my beach ball and resting his chin on my claim-mark. Together we shared this moment in silence, realizing the one nemesis we'd endured so much anguish over was finally extinguished.
Sam:
~October 26th, 2010-Tuesday. (12 weeks ago):
Oh God, what have I done? Was the very first thought that flew through my mind after the feral adrenaline cooled in my veins. The night air icy in my lungs, stinging. I couldn't pay attention to much, since my leg was killing me. the only exceptions being images of Jo's mutilated body and the terrible look on Maia's face as I ravaged her. Maia's words echoing in the back of my mind, this isn't you. But it was. I'd been lying from the beginning. I'd been lying so much and for so long that I'd fooled myself. Outside the mill that first night, I did catch her scent in my nostrils. It was like nothing I'd ever smelled in my life. But the way I saw her effect Dean.
I couldn't bring myself to take that from him, even though I wanted to. when I came back inside from the Goon-fight, I couldn't believe what I saw. It made me want to break and scream and gnash all at the same time. Seeing Dean happy for once, truly happy, made me glad for him. He deserved happiness, but didn't I? When jo came along, that made the ache a little easier. When I claimed her, I never saw Jo, instead my mind had imagined jo's form to be Maia's. A devious cruel trick of the brain. Don't we all want what we can't have? Is greed such a bad thing after all? I did love Jo but not as much as she did me, and not as much as how I saw Maia. Throwing a pup in the mix, only complicated things further.
Jo and my unborn kid, was a mask in the daydream I'd thought up for myself. As Maia grew, it became increasingly difficult for me to look at her and Dean together. Trapped in their bubble of merriment. I tried my hardest to hide my feelings, sometimes I'd let my true colors slip, like when Dean threw me up against a wall for just talking to Maia. I'm sure he'd picked up on twinges of my feelings, Dean wasn't as dull as he thought he was. But he had no idea that I felt so strongly for her.
Losing Jo, broke me, broke my shield and set loose a monster. When Maia mentioned Dean, I lost it even further. I hated to hear his name one more time. Feeling her tiny jaw against my knuckles, made my stomach churn. I didn't want to hurt her, but the toxins made me do it, right? A brutal mix of primal testosterone coursing through my body. choking her made me feel just as bad, so I tried my hand at making her feel good. In the way that I wanted to do from day one. But now that the feral is gone from my bloodstream what I did to her was nothing short of rape.
I didn't fight back against my brother's pommels, feeling each one break my face a little deeper. The claws against my flesh and the agony of my leg snapping underneath his weight. I deserved all of it. I know that now. Pure white moonbeams came streaming down on the earth and onto me escaping the grey screen of a cloud. I don't have the right to possess nice things. I break everything I touch, I'm a rowdy kid in a glass house- throwing stones.
If I did claim Maia, with my luck, I would have lost her too. Just like every other woman I'd been in a relationship with. Starting with Jessica along the bloody road I'd built and ending with Jo. I don't think I have the capacity to love anymore. Maybe keeping Maia at arm's length and watching her fall for Dean was for the better. At least she'd stay alive that way. I'm professor Snape through and through. Dean, James and Maia, Lily. Their pup, Harry. I hate myself. I wish I could just hit a reset button or find some Djinn to put me to sleep, let me live out waking up to Maia in my arms. I wouldn't mind having a house full of my own litter, making messes of the walls and going through parentage with her.
Such wicked wishful thinking. I'd heard the front door creak open. I kept staring into the vastness of the winter night sky, the moon being a jewel embedded in the cloak of glittering darkness.
"Just finish it. Kill me, right here." I patted my heart, wanting a silvery bullet lodged into my chest cavity, gone for good. I felt an odd warming in my leg. The pain easing like magic.
"Why would I do that?" Asked a familiar gruffy voice. I craned my neck, my hair flopping forward into my face.
"Cas?!" his healing touch hovering over my leg, the pain vanishing within seconds. I dragged my body away from him, not wanting to get my scent on him, heeding Dean's warning. He ignored my actions and placed two finger pads on my forehead. The intense wave of pain lifted off all at once. His hand moving to my chest. I'd grabbed his wrist stopping it.
"No! get away from me. Go back inside. Get my scent off you, Dean'll kill you. If he finds out you healed me." I let go of his wrist not wanting to do any more damage. I got up to my feet, stumbling, dizzy from the headrush. I turned and caught a glimpse of Castiel's highly confused features. I felt guilty and sorry for mauling him too. I wanted my own gashes to be a physical reminder of the evil I'd done tonight. I put one foot in front of the other. I need to leave, I can't stay. Cas called out for me, "Where are you going?"
"Away. Anywhere but here." I bellowed out into the night. For the first few days. I'd escaped into the refuge of the pines, near Bobby's but at a safe distance. I still had my phone in my pocket among a few bucks. I let myself be one with the wild nature around me. As cheesy as that does sound. I fended for myself and kept other Alphas at bay, more Alphas would come around as Maia got closer to giving birth. Wanting to snatch an opportune moment once her womb was empty. even if she was claimed, It'd be a hard temptation for others to pass up, the heat after child rearing would be just as ferocious as the one she'd gotten pregnant with.
I got a job at some Podunk bar in town. I wash dishes and prep food. It's enough to support myself and research leads on Felix. After everything I needed purpose. This was the one thing I could do to help Maia and the family she'd built for herself. I didn't want redemption- I was far past that. Instead I just wanted this to be my duty. I chased lead after lead, coming up empty handed. I satisfied my ruts by killing, I didn't want to think about sex. I finally did catch him, building another mill in the center of a town three cities over.
Since it's only me I had to be smart about my ambush. I wanted to feel his neck bones break in my grip. But that would be too easy a death for him. I wanted to make it hurt, like he'd hurt Maia and Jo and every other God-forsaken Omega he'd ran through the ringer. I bathed in scent blockers and stalked the premises. Getting rid of the guards was surprisingly easy. They weren't very good at their jobs. Most of them were in too much of a rough rut to pay attention to me. There were five guards in total in this Mill. I didn't sense very many Omegas in the building, maybe he hadn't killed them yet?
Felix had a routine of patrolling his Omegas at night, looking for one of them to go into heat so he could pleasure himself. The look on his face was pure gold once he stepping on that bear trap, clapping into his ankle and snapping the bones, the teeth tearing his flesh and fine clothing. I drug him into a spare room sitting him down on a chair, chaining him up in the same way he did to his Omega's. I'd shoved a needle into his thigh and injected him with a mild sedative, enough to keep feral action at bay but not so strong to knock him out.
I took my time a little. Slicing at his flesh with a silver knife, for extra umph. But my fun had made a sour taste in my mouth. I left a big gash on his abdomen, making him wail like a schoolgirl. Determination flickered in those cold eyes.
"I'll fuckin kill you, Winchester!!" The last battle cry. A satisfying smirk formed on my face, lighting a matchbox.
"I'd love to see you try, Dick. Say hello to Lucifer for me." The flame making contact with the kerosene soaked rug I'd prepared. His agony was at first enjoyable but after it only left me numb and exhausted. My duty done for now. I rescued three Omegas from their cells, the flames and smoke engulfing the building. It felt liberating in a sense to know that I'd done some good tonight, saving others. My misery wasn't completely fruitless after all. I made damned sure that Felix was turned to charcoal and not revived by some unsuspecting Beta with an E..M.T. license.
I spent the rest of my night, celebrating with a glass full of Jack. Something strong to numb the thoughts. With Maia's due date on the horizon, I thought it would be a good thing to get my Neice a gift. After all, I wouldn't be seeing her. She needed something from her Uncle. I used some cash I had saved up from the bar for such an occasion. Naturally I got her some books, Dean might not read to her, but I know Maia will. I made sure not to leave my scent on the packaging, spraying it with some neutralizing cologne. Winter's chill leaving thick frost on the ground I couldn't stakeout in the woods like I wanted to.
I kept hopping from motel to motel, being sure to stay close and keep tabs on Alpha threats, so that I could eliminate them as they crept in. Now it's a waiting game, Maia's at the mercy of mother nature now. But in reality, aren't we all?
Quote:
"But you always find a way
To keep me right here waiting
You always find the words to say
To keep me right here waiting
If you chose to walk away
I'd still be right here waiting
Searching for the things to say
To keep you right here waiting."
-'Right here,'-Staind.
Dean:
I kept staring at those books and re-reading Sam's message on Roslyn's card. I wasn't ready to let Sam back in. This wound, his act of treason, it's still too raw. The final lap is in view. I'm crazy thrilled to meet you, Roslyn. But, I'm frightened, I need everything to go smoothly, you got that Little Bean? I thought to myself, talking to her telepathically would be kickass. It's gonna be hard. I know that. I just don't know how much of watching my girl be in misery I can take. An epidural would help but, were not talking apples to apples in this situation. I have some feral- suppressant pills, another thing I'd ordered off Amazon, for precautionary measures.
Maia'd shifted in her sleep, waking. She had to use the commode again. I followed her into the bathroom innocently. She growled at me. Even her growls are cute as shit. She was annoyed and thoroughly done with me.
"Dean?" She asked, her tongue draggin' across her canine, somebody ain't a happy camper.
"Yes dear?" I replied shoving my hands into my back pockets, shrugging my shoulders forward.
"Can a gal piss in privacy?" She said beginning to pull her sweatpants down, paused in an awkward position. I'd hesitated until she raised her eyebrows, motioning for me to leave the room. I sighed.
"Alright, sorry." Not sorry. I left the bathroom finding my place on the bed and waited for her to return.
The way she waddled over to her side of the bed was God-damn adorable, bringing a smile 'cross my face.
I put my arm around her form, taking in her sweet Strawberry scent. I kissed those lips that I loved so much, brushing her hair away from that perfect face. "I love you." I told her again.
"I know." She replied not forgetting about the quirky way we showed our affection. I slept solid after seeing her doze off . I always made a point to slumber after her. A crazy thought flashed in my head. I'm gonna be a Dad.
End ch 8.

The Beginning
They say that your parents are there to teach you the rules of the world, but what happens when you have no parents? Who will teach you then? The world is cruel but people are crueler. Ive learned this first hand when the person i trusted most in this world left me on the door step of the St. Trinity’s Orphanage. I was 9 when my mother told me she didn’t want me anymore and i guess I couldn’t really blame her. I mean who could love someone who couldn’t control the powers that grew with each passing year. Someone who started fires out of thin air when they had nightmares, conjured whirlwinds when startled, unfurled earthquakes when angered, spring forth rain showers when sad, and levitate objects when riddled with anxiety. I will never forget that day for its seared into my mind like its own person brand echoing with every beat of my heart. A monster thats what she called me, her own flesh and blood was a monster in her eyes, and i could see the relief when she ran from the solid oak door finally rid of the burden she had to put up with throughout the years. An abomination she cried as she reached the cobblestone sidewalk eager to be rid of me and by the pace she was going at i could tell she had more spring in her step than on the walk over from the bus we exited from. Unnatural she bellowed as she disappeared around the corner a ghost of a smile springing from her lips as she disappeared. These where the last words i would ever hear from my mother, if thats what you would call her.
Emy’s POV
Tonight was just like any other. Crisp cold air submerged the city in a blanket of dark and silence while it settled into your bones. I never minded the cold in fact I welcomed it, it reminded me of the cabin i found one year after running away from one of the many abusive foster homes i was forced to stay with. I’ll admit it was one of the times I was able to avoid the social workers for longer than a week and the happiest I had ever been in my life up until i was captured by Hydra. When I had a flair up with my powers, which usually ended up being fire, i would immediately get sent back to St. Trinity’s but this time i ran before they had the chance to toss me aside. The staff there used to place bets on how long i would stay with a family, they would joke saying i was cursed or jinxed but i knew the truth, no one wanted me. Once the parents found out about my abilities I was sent packing. I was labeled as a flight risk and a danger to others which only deepened my anti socialism.
Walking through the streets of New York i pull my dark purple jacket on and my dark brown hair in a pony tail as I get closer to my destination. Because i don’t feel the effects of the cold weather Tony, being such the dad figure he is, has made it his priority to make sure i still wear one just incase so here i was walking home in black ripped up jeans, a black v neck T-shirt, black and purple checkered vans and a light weight dark purple jacket. With my headphones in my ears and “I like it heavy” by Halestorm blasting I make my way to the place i call home, Stark Tower. Walking through the front doors i make my way past the receptionist who always greets me with a bright smile. As I walk towards the elevator I give her a small smile back and a head nod. After entering the elevator and pressing the button for the penthouse I start to reflect on how i got here.
By the time i was 15 Hydra found me in that cabin and took me away. I went from hopping from family to family to being used as a science experiment, constantly being poked and prodded just so they could get a reaction out of me. As a child my powers where very unstable mostly flaring up with my emotions, its no wonder that Hydra caught wind of me its not like i was hiding it very well or more so that i couldn’t hide it. They tried to wipe my memory to gain control of me “a blank slate” is what they wanted, but for some reason, they failed as I wasn’t susceptible to their conditioning methods no matter how much time i spent in the chair. However, I could tell they were scared of me I could see it in their eyes. This didn’t last long though as they used what they called their perfect weapon code name Winter Soldier to beat me into submission. After that first meeting that left me with a broken arm and a fractured ankle i started to obey, since then Ive met the Soldier a couple of times but if he remembers me he dosent let on and I dont blame him, he has been in that chair so many times Im genuinely surprised he can even remember how to walk. He is stronger than the others as most of the other test subjects had turned to vegetables after the 4th mind wipe, he was on his 10th the last time i saw him with Hydra.
Another test was done on me and this one was different. They used a teseract? If thats what they called it I can’t be sure nor did I care all I could feel was pain like as if someone injected lava in my veins. After they injected me I started screaming after a while I couldn’t even hear myself anymore, my throat was so sore and horse from the constant roar of my agony I just wanted it to end. How long was I out for? Seconds? Minutes? Hours? Days? Years? They didn’t keep clocks there or at least not in the dungeon like cell they had me in. When the fire faded i was left with this numbness and after further tests I realized that I was immune to fire. I can literally stick my hand in fire and i will be left untouched and unscorched. They did the same test with freezing temperatures to see if they could subdue me at least in some way. I must have been out longer than just a couple of days as during the tests i didn’t recognize any of the Doctors. In that moment I realized something, if they were trying to contain me then something must have happened to the soldier. It was time to plan my escape.
Back in my cell i could hear footsteps approaching me and then stop short. One of the scientists frantically trying to talk some sense into someone just out of my line of sight. “She is immune to anything we throw at her sir. We have done every test we could there is nothing left for us to do.” One of the goons in a lab coat stated to what i assumed is a higher up. “Bolden If her powers keep growing at the rate they are it could be days in which she will be unstoppable and with the soldier gone we dont have anything that can keep her in line. She broke Mandy and Rays arms the last time we tested her. She is getting too strong.” Brining a hand up to his chin the higher up Bolden stepped out of the shadows and looked at me with deep interest before he turned to looked at the man and scoffed. As he walked away i felt a cold chill ran down my back as I anticipated what was to become of me; I knew it was nothing good i had already broken their rules. His next words only confirmed what I feared. “ Its simple. Break her spirit or kill her Doctor. And when i say break her i mean in anyway means necessary.” His sadistic laugh is the last thing i remember before everything went black.
Its been 2 years since i have escaped and now I’m living in the avengers tower. I don’t remember what happened after that night in my cell its all a blur of red, screams, and gunshots. When i woke up next i was in a 6ft crater where I was being held captive without a scratch on me. Trees were uprooted and fallen over as if a bomb went off. Luckily the Avengers showed up not long after me waking up and took me to their base where i met Directer Fury. With his permission and 24/7 surveillance provided by Tony Stark via FRIDAY and training sessions to get my powers under control i was allowed to join the Avengers and fight for good. Little did i know that by agreeing to this I would end up in the path of a certain God or Gods who were also taking residence at the tower.
With the sound of a *ding* the elevator shook me out of my mind and back to the present. As i exited the elevator I pulled my head phones out of my ears and was instantly met with the sound of Tony losing his mind. “Where did she go? She knows she can’t be out this late. She could be taken again! Its 5 minutes past her curfew!” Rolling my eyes I roll my headphones up and shove them in my pocket and round the corner. “Tony it takes 5 minutes to get from the lobby to the penthouse calm down. I bet she will walk through that door anytime now.” Came the sweet voice of reason of none other than Pepper Potts. “I’m Home.” I said in a deadpan voice as i walked by the couple only for Tony to stand up and intercept me by placing a hand on my upper arm. “Where did you go and why didn’t you tell me you were leaving?” I looked at him and raised an eyebrow pushing his hand off me. “Tony its Wednesday. I have training with Strange on Wednesdays and I had Friday alert you as I was leaving but you were in the lab with Bruce.” Not sure what to say next Tony mumbled a small apology. “Sorry I was just worried about you. I know you are grown enough to make your own choices as you are 25 but I just want to make sure you are safe. How was the training with The Wizard?” Sighing and shaking my head just wanting to go the library and read I decided to just let it go. “Strange is a hard ass that much you already know. It wasnt bad actually I think I’m warming up to him. I didn’t spontaneously throw him to the wall when he snuck up behind me as i was going over the ancient texts so i call that improvement.” I said sheepishly while side stepping around him. “I’m gonna go to the library now and grab some light reading before bed you guys have a good night.” With out waiting for a response I quickly made my way towards my new destination only to have Tony saying something about guests in the house but I ignored him.
Pushing open the library door I make my way to the poetry section to grab my usual copy of Edgar Allen Poe that I read before bed. As my had reached for the spot i knew i put the book in i find that its not there. “Wait what? Where is my book? I know I put it back here before I left for training so where did it go?” Frustrated I stomp back over to the entrance and rip open the door ready to go on a murder spree while shouting down the hallway. “CLINT! You better give me back my night time book or I’m breaking all your arrows again! No one reads in this tower but me! How stupid do you think I am!?” Straining my ears I listen for any type of movement but was met with dead silence. After a minute I finally hear movement through the vents coming from the west part of the tower and I take off sprinting. Sliding around a corner I barely miss colliding with Steve and Bucky who look like they were on their way back from a mission. Offering a quick apology before I continue my pursuit I hear Steve yell “Hey! No running in the tower!” Not faltering in my hot pursuit of the Hawk thief I continue to zip through the tower ignoring the Captains words until i was almost to the vent that lead to the 2 level family room. Using the railing for the steps leading down to the family area to give me more height i jumped as close to the vent as possible and conjured my signature Scythe to slice through it while twisting in the air kicking the vent free and off its track. A shocked and terrified scream resonates from the vent as the culprit falls to the ground with a thud and a grunt. I landed in a crouched position and slowly straightened to my full hight. “What the hell Emy?! When did you learn to do that?!” Clint yells as he sits up rubbing his left shoulder that he landed on. I started stalking towards him with the blade of my scythe scrapping across the ground as i went while giving him a death glare. “Give me back my book Barton.” At the mention of his last name his head snapped up to me fear replacing the pain from his fall. “Oh shit last name not good.” Scrambling up on his feet he turns and runs towards the common room that connects to the elevator with me hot on his tail and my scythe trailing behind me in my right hand.
“Shit shit shit shit shit shit SHIT!!” He yells as he makes it fully to the room only to fling forward as i jump and kick his back tired of all the running. Twirling my weapon around I place it at his neck sneering at him. “I will not ask you again.” I said placing pressure on his neck with my blade. Sensing a fast moving object coming from my left from the kitchen I move my head back 3 inches as what looked like a hammer flew by me embedding itself in the wall. Turning my head slowly in the direction of the flying object, I confirmed it was indeed a hammer that was thrown at me. Irritation flared through me as i released Clint from the end of my scythe and turned fully to the kitchen to face my attacker. There stood 2 men that i did not recognize, one tall oak of a man with blond short hair, blue eyes and tan skin in blue jeans, a red T-shirt ,and grey jacket. the other shorter man made me stare at him and faultier for a second as he was so different from anyone i have ever seen, dark blue skin covered his entire body with darker almost black symbols and piercing red eyes, long black hair with black jeans, a green dress shirt and black jacket. Tearing my gaze away from his own curious one i looked between both men before i clenched my jaw letting my irritation settle back in. “Which one of you threw that hammer.” I said venom dripping with every word. “Whoa its ok Emy thats just Thor and Loki they are the asgardian Gods that live here in the tower part time when they are not in Norway.” Clint said standing up quickly. Not moving from my position i narrowed my eyes and flicked them over in Clint’s direction. The ground started to shake as my irritation and annoyance grew to anger remembering what i was doing before being interrupted by the Gods. Throwing his hands up in surrender he then quickly reached into his back pocket and retrieved my book. “Ok ok dont blow a fuse Em.” He said while tossing me my possession stopping me from causing an earthquake. Catching it in the air with my left had I inspected the book to make sure it wasn’t damaged before I let go of my scythe, with a wave of my hand it disappeared back to the pocket dimension I keep it in then looked back at Clint as the tremors stopped. “Touch my things again and i will be wearing your guts like my mom’s pashmina.” I said to the thief before walking out of the room and disappeared down the hallway not giving the Gods a second glance. As I entered my room i could hear a silky voice ring out from the kitchen. “Well isnt she interesting.”

The heart of the Scout Regiment part 3
A mini Levi Ackerman story
Summary: Since the beginning of the survey corps, not one member has changed the group like she did, if only they knew, what one persons heart, could change them all.
Everyone sat at the table, making idle conversation as they ate. A strew of different topics were heard, ranging from what they had done that day, the next mission that next morning, to the one at hand between the majority of them.
“Hey can you pass me the pepper?” She asks levi, who sat to her left.
He grabbed for the spice, a small chuckle leaving him.
Due to her mother being a cook, she grew up with lots of soups that contained lots of pepper. Everyone swore that she would put a dash of it on her ice cream when nobody was looking.
“Thanks Kitty.” She says, a soft smile on both their faces.
“Okay, I gotta ask.” Jean says, making both of them tear their gazes from one another. All eyes were on him, knowing what he was gonna ask. “I think I speak for everyone, but, why do you call him Kitty? And not to be rude, but why do you let her? You won’t even let most of us call you by your own name.” He wasn’t trying to be rude or pry, but everyone had wondered why he let her call him by something like that. Nobody ever had an issue with it, they all rather liked it. Finding it endearing seeing the usually cold and emotionless captain visibly enjoying being called such.
They both let out a chuckle, looking at one another again with the same look they always share. “Want me to?” She asks. “Sure, you are the one who came up with it.” He says, a soft smile on his face.
“It happened 6 months ago, it was one of the first times I had been out as the watch over. Erwin had given me the position the week prior, after seeing how majority of the time, I was watching over everyone. But, you all know this by now.” She chuckles.
“This day, was one of the worst ones we had been on. I, I don’t wanna go into it too much. It, still pains me to remember how many we lost. So I’ll just cut to it.”
“We were swarmed with abnormals. Nothing like Eren, but, they just weren’t the normal ones we usually face. They, almost seemed, hungry? Rather than just doing it for the hell of it. There was desperation in them, a need to wipe us all out. I was still so new, I hardly made it out alive myself. If it wasn’t for Levi that is.”
~flashback
Screams echoed and ripped through the air, as if you could tear through it like flesh and muscle.
Blood soaked her almost entirely as she flew through the air, trying desperately to find any survivors as war raged on around her. Her heart squeezing so tightly, she felt as if it would crumble as her stomach felt like it would drop to the ground any moment.
Her eyes burned from all the blood coating them, tears trying to desperately wash them away as she screamed for any answer besides the agonizing screams from her team. This, this was what hell was.
It was as if time and all trace of the world fell behind her, when she felt her line being cut down, her body being thrown to the ground before she could even recognize what had happened as a scream ripped through her burning throat.
Her body screamed out in pain as she hit, a pained groan ripping from her as sharp tree branches poked into her agonizing body.
Her eyes finally opened, and she wish she never had.
The large beast looked down at her, it’s eyes void of any humanity as drool fell from its large mouth. It’s hand reaching out to her.
She let out a soft prayer, prayer that it would be quick. Prayer for everyone she ever loved in her life. Prayer to see her family again.
None of those prayers were answered though, as it’s hand sliced through all the way off, blood soaking her body as a gasp left her lips.
A wild scream, ripped through the depths of his burning throat as he sliced through every inch of the beast, his body screaming out in pain and adrenaline as he ran up the side of its body, it’s screams of pure torture fueling him as he reched its nape. His eyes burning from blood soaking them as he sliced its nape clean off.
As he felt the beast falling, he flew from its back to her, catching her mere seconds before she was crushed, his body screaming out as he held her body close to his, both their hearts thumping wildly in their chests as they clutched to one another.
~end of flashback
“It was the first time I had ever seen him do it, it was, both amazing but terrifying to watch. I could hardly comprehend what was happening the entire time, I hardly even recognize any of it until we were laying in the grass, my mind finally catching up to what had happened.”
“When we got back, everyone was rushed to the medics as soon as we stepped foot inside. There were so many that were almost gravely injured, that there were quite a few people who had to wait for help. I was lucky in that I could patch myself up, I was fortunate in that my father taught me how to wrap up any injury when I was young.”
“But the thing is, I hardly even paid any mind to my injuries. My focus was only on Levi’s.”
~flashback~
Tears collected in her eyes, blinking them away as best as she could as she washed his body down. Soft groans leave his lips, trying not to worry her worse.
He told her she didn’t have to do this, but alas, her caring heart didn’t let her listen as she tended to his wounds. His heart fluttering in his chest as she continued.
“You could’ve gotten yourself killed you know.” She said, voice still raspy from her shouts. Letting out a sigh, he looked into her eyes. “Need I remind you that you were about to be eaten.” She lets out a small chuckle at this, her eyes still soft as she washed his face. “Yes, but my job is to protect you guys. But thank you anyway, I won’t try and pretend that I’m not utterly grateful. And equally amazed.” His brow turned up in question, another chuckle leaving her lips. “I’ve heard the stories of how fast you are, how amazing your skills can be. But I had yet to see it myself. You were borderline feral.” She chuckles, his heart thumping wildly in his chest. “What can I say, you’re important to us. And besides, I was waiting for the Opportunity to take that bastard out.” He chuckled, making her let out a laugh.
Soft chuckles left her lips as she continued dressing his wounds, his eyes asking the question before his words could. “You just, you reminded me in a way of a cat who’s protecting their owner.” She laughed, his heart thumping wildly in his chest at the noise. “You know what, I think I’m gonna refer to you as kitty from now on. If that’s okay with you?” She asks, her eyes looking into his. His heart warmed considerably more, a flush dusting his cheeks. “Sure.”
It was truly hectic, a merical that they made it all out okay mostly. All but one.
She had managed to evade every titan attack at the last second, snatching her fellow cadets in the lick of time. Each time, she felt her heart soar in her chest as she flew through the frigid air, feeling the chill down to her very bones.
It was as if all the air that hit her in the face stopped, along with her heart as she watched her line cut, feeling her body fall at rapid speeds to the ground.
Even in his titan form, Eren had been able to think just as clearly as he did previous, only no words could leave past his lips, only to be heard in his mind.
He watched as she fell through the air like a comet, his heart falling as he heard the screams of terror rip past her lips.
His feet carried him faster than his mind could catch up, completely tearing through every tree in his way as to get to her as fast as possible.
But as fate would have it, he just wasn’t fast enough as she hit the cold hard ground like a rock, screams of pain ripping into the air as she rolled into the snow.
As soon as he could see her close, he halted his legs to a slow walk as to not rumble the ground she lay on.
She watched with tears in her eyes as he came close, his eyes almost glazing over as she watched his large face fall, her heart breaking as she can feel the pain he’s experiencing.
A whimper leaves his lips, a sound you’d never expect coming from him as he slowly crouches down, trying his hardest not to hurt her any further.
A small smile graces her lips as she looks into his eyes, her heart warming. “Hey my big baby, I’m okay.” She mumbles, hoping he could hear her.
She watches with a smile on her face as he cups his enormous hands, slowly feeling her scoop her up, feeling just how delicately he’s holding her. It was as if she was a rare flower, that would fall into a layer of dust in his hands as he brings her up to his chest, the warmth from his body nearly making her fall unconscious.
Everyone watched in amazement as he emerges from the trees, his feet hardly moving as he slowly shuffled over to them as to not harm her. They watched as his eyes trained on his hands, a solemn look on his features.
A gasp leaves Levi’s lips as he sees him bend down, seeing her frail body laying in his hands.
Instantly running over to her as Eren sets her down onto one of the beds, ones that she had made herself for the wounded soldiers who needed the extra padding beneath them.
Levi instantly got in the cart with her, his heart sinking in his chest as he looks at her. She had bad cuts running over her skin, tree residue coating her skin, nestled deep into each cut. But her smile still remained.
Levi didn’t leave her side as they went back, his hands holding her limp one in his as he prayed for her. Hoping that she would make it out okay.
And as if both men’s prayers had been answered, her eyes opened as she looked at them, her smile growing in size as she looked at their worry stricken faces.
Both let out a sigh as they look at her, small smiles gracing their usually scowling faces. “Told you I was okay sweety.” She mumbled, a smile growing on the young mans face.
His heart warmed as she pulled him into a hug, her soar arms wrapping around him as she rubbed his back. She always did it to him, feeling his muscles unclenching when she ran her fingers over his clothes. It reminded him of his moms, the warmth he felt in his chest that he king forgot about had come again from her embrace.
Eren sits as he looks at his plate, a soft smile on his lips. She had made her famous muffins recently, something that everyone looked forward to each time she had all the ingredients. But what nobody knew, was she always gave him and his close family and friends an extra, as she always overestimated the amounts.
Jean sits beside him as he eats, a teasing smile on his lips as he savors every bite. “I see you saved your extra huh?” Jean teases, watching as his eyes bore into his. “Oh calm down there, was only teasing.” He chuckles, Erens eyes softening slightly as he looks down.
She truly had helped him with not only his anger, but his will to understand and forgive. Before he would’ve threatened the man, now he couldn’t help the smile on his lips.
“What can I say, she’s the best cook here.” He replies, finishing the treat with one last bite. Jean let’s put a chuckle, his eyes looking down at his own food. “Yeah you do have a point, but then again, I think you might just have a soft spot for her.” Erens eyes bore into his as his face scrunches. “I don’t look at her like th-“ “not like that you idiot, god no, I think only the captain does. No I mean like how the rest of us do.” Erens eyes relax, before they squint as he looks at him. What does he mean?
It’s like he could read his mind, or rather his look of pure confusion. He lets out a soft chuckle.
“We all think of her as a mother, I mean we hardly ever call her by her name. She’s become like our mother, but in the best way possible. Speaking of which, why don’t you ever call her it?” Erens heart races in his chest, his eyes looking away from him. “I don’t know what you mean.” He replies. “Almost all of us younger guys call her ma, hell even armin and your sister do. You’re the only one who doesn’t. Yet, you guys have a closer bond than most of us do. What’s the reason you never do?” Eren lets out a deep sigh, his heart pained in his chest at the reason. “It’s, not because I don’t think of her as it. I have for a while. It’s that, I can’t.” Jeans expression matches the same confused look he wore some minute ago. “I watched my own mom die, watched her take her last breath as she was eaten alive. I, I never appreciated all that she did for me until she was gone. I feel like she’d, be angry or hurt if I called another woman that ever again.” Tears collected in his eyes at the confession, blinking them away as best as he could.
He felt jeans hand on his shoulder, looking back at him. “Your mom loves you, correct?” “Of course she did?” “Then if she did, she’d be happy.” Erens face morphed into another look of confusion. “She would want you to. If you look at Y/N that way, and you truly feel it in your heart, your mom would be happy. She doesn’t want you to go your entire life empty, and pushing away every mother figure out there. I know we’ve all been dealt hell, but there, in that woman, is a saving grace. She was meant to be here with us. And if she was meant to be our mom, then we should all call her as such. Your mom would want this, and I know you’d make Y/N so incredibly happy in return. She already calls you her big baby, she won’t even call any of us something like it.”
A smile graces Erens face, a single year collecting in his eye.
His feet tapped lightly along the floor, trying not to alert the captain or any remaining members of the team of his presence.
It was late, the noon high in the sky as snow pelted every inch of the outdoes, creating a chill in the air that he longed to escape to his own quarters. But first, he must do this.
He had thought about it for some time, and by some time, it had been months. Months of thinking of her as his mother, feeling his heart warm whenever she held him dear or called him by anything she thought of. Months of nearly calling her it on accident, all leading up to this.
His hand slowly opened the door, letting out a wince as the door creaked loudly, the old metal growing rusty.
His eyes fell onto her sleeping form, a soft smile on his lips as he walked slowly to her.
Crouching down, he looked at her face, there were some minor abrasions, none that would scar thankfully. He couldn’t help but notice her eyes, they lay shut as she slept. But he could see them moving, wondering what it is she could be dreaming. Maybe it was one of those many tales she would speak of, ones she would tell him on nights he lay awake. At first he found it childish, but he couldn’t deny how calm he felt as she told him, told him of the stories her family red to her that she memorized. A soft smile at the memory of her lulling hun to sleep.
His smile dropped as he looked at her, watching her body shake slightly.
A small gasp leaving him when he saw his breath in front of his face. Having forgotten he runs warmer than most, he didn’t even notice the open window to his side.
Quickly getting up and shutting it completely, he walked back over to her.
She had moved her extra blanket to the bottom of her bed, folding it in just a way that it would unfold if pulled towards her. She had learned it from her mum she said.
Pulling the blanket up to her chin, a smile on his face when she visibly calmed.
Bending down slightly, he laid a soft peck on her temple, his heart warning in his chest.
“Goodnight, mum.” He whispered, his heart skipping as he said it. It felt, right, so right that he couldn’t help the large smile on his face as he got up.
A gasp leaving his lips however, when he felt his hand pulled back. Turning back around, he looked back into her now open eyes that shined with tears, a large smile on her face.
His heart soared in his chest as she pulled him in, wrapping both their arms around one another. Long fat tears cascaded down their cheeks as they wept, soft laughs leaving them as they embrace one another.
“I never thought I’d hear you say it.” She sobbed, her body shaking in his. “I never thought I could, but I’m so glad I did it.”
Her body shakes as she held him tighter, planting a kiss to his forehead. “I love you so mum baby, I’ve thought of you as my son for so, so long.” Sobs shook his body even harsher, more coming as she rocked him back and forth. Never did he think he could feel this love ever again. After taking his mother’s love for granted, to whitening her death, he never thought he’d get another chance at a mother’s love. But as fate or God or whatever was out there, he had it.
“And I, I love you too, mum. So much.”

-A Year Later, Misha-
The smoke rose in a thick line from the burning embers of the tip of the cigarette, an off brand from the shop in town. Misha drew in a deep and long drag as he looked out across the night sky above the cold southern expanse of the Tronador valley. As he went further up the mountain, it was nice to look back towards the small lights of Puerto Varas, where he had received the intel that pointed him up this impressively cold mountain. Misha was no stranger to cold, but with how hot it was in the town this August he hadn’t expected the trek to plunge him into frigid temperatures. Nevertheless, with his collar lifted and another smoke lit, he marched forward.
The night was getting colder and the path, if you could call it one, was more than likely made entirely by wayward goats without intention or significance. Santino knew better than to give Misha bad intel, especially with something as important as this, but still there was a nagging at the back of Misha’s mind that this could be a trap.
He’d had a few difficult tussles since he left the comfort of the states to pursue what truth he had seen, what memories had been returned to him. Briefly, he considered the nightmare of New Orleans and what he’d had to do with the good Doctor. The sight of what that man had become, what that man committed to before slipping under the floodwaters of the ill-gotten city was still clear in his mind. Misha liked that his mind felt less like a mystery than before, but he was torn when he thought of the life he had built in Avenyork, the friends….friend he had made.
After another long drag of the cigarette, Misha found himself spotting the low light of a small cabin tucked into the mountainside. “Finally. I hope they have a fire going” he muttered to himself as he trudged on. Arriving at the small cabin, he could hear some music playing from inside. It sounded Russian. With a firm knock he stood out in the cold for a moment before the music fell silent and the door was cracked open. Dark brown eyes stared out from the warmth of the structure. “¿Sí, Qué quieres?”
“¿Oleg está aquí?” Misha responded. There was a slight look of confusion on the face of the man holding the door.
“Hablas español mejor que Oleg” He smiled and opened the door wider, gesturing for Misha to step inside.
“lo hago pero no lo prefiero.” Misha smirked as he stepped through the doorway, adding “¿Habla usted Inglés?”
“Si, but is not as good. But Oleg prefer it too.” The man, short in stature, shut the door behind Misha and led him to a chair at a table in the middle of the room. Misha could smell some sort of soup or stew being made on the fireplace and there was a small phonograph player on a small table to the side. “Oleg tried to make me learn Russian, HA” he laughed “Not happen”
“Russian is not easy language to master. Don’t worry my english is very good.” Misha sat down roughly, tired as he was. “Where is Oleg?” His eyes drifted around the room and saw a small bed tucked in the corner and a single door into the back room.
“He went to gather last few ingredients for stew” The man sat down across from Misha “Mi nombre es Mateo, ehhh” A pause “My name, Mateo. You?” His clothes were a bit large for his build and he seemed calm, despite a stranger banging on his door at this late hour in the mountains.
“Misha” Misha stated as he absorbed the room, gathering as much as he could. “And how did Oleg come to find you?”
“Oh as most. The people in town. They know my skills” He smiled and folded his fingers together. His nails were clean and bright yet something dark was under them. “And what is Oleg to you?”
Misha paused and considered the question. “Old friends,” adding, “How long do you think he’ll be?” He kept his eyes on swivel as he watched Mateo’s every move.
“He not be much longer” Mateo smiled wide, teeth looking wet. “Last ingredients are most important.” He gestured towards the pot next to the fireplace.
“Yes.” There was a pause in the room. The cold of the outdoors permeated everything despite the roaring fire. “The final touches are always important.” Before the pause could go on much longer, Misha asked, “So I heard music as I approached. Shall we put some on while we wait for Oleg?”
“YES!” Mateo exclaimed, his voice almost heavy with excitement. “Please go crank up the record” he half laughed “Oleg brought very good”. Misha stood and made his way towards the phonograph. It was an old thing that looked worse for the wear, and there on the pad was an old Russian record. The crank made an awful noise as he turned it. The creaking, clanking and the sound of the spring tightening was a mixture of bizzare and otherworldly sounds that caused the hairs on Misha’s neck to stand up on end.
As Mateo reached the last click of the player, Misha noticed an imperial Russian coat on the floor by the fireplace. Heavy outerwear that would work well in the growing cold outside the house. A coat Oleg would not have left without care. Misha’s stomach turned to sand and there were alarm bells going off as he felt his muscles tightened without thinking to do so.
“So Oleg?” Misha spoke as the record wurred to life with the sounds of a Russian folk tune, he turned back towards Mateo and regretted his decision immediately. Mateo with wide open eyes was looking directly at Misha, though he had not turned his body, only his head which was situated facing almost entirely the wrong direction. His mouth looked as if it had broken free and his head cocked backwards as a horrific guttural sound of nightmares filled the small cabin. Misha reached for his pistol as Mateo’s form folded and ripped and slid off of the large creature now flinging itself at him. His gun had only gotten out of the holster before the creature was on top of him. Slamming Misha down hard, the gun slipped from his hand. His head was spinning but his training kicked in harder than ever. The snarling maw of the grotesque thing was dripping down onto him as he kicked his heel back and slammed it hard into the beast. The creature folded back and shrieked. It grasped at its side that was bleeding a thick red ichor.
“Piece of Shit!” Misha exclaimed as he rolled over and tapped his heel again, the blood stained blade retracting into the side of his boot. Tumbling to his feet next to his revolver and snatching it up to look towards the creature writhing. Drawing a deep breath with a mixture of words under his breath Misha steadied his pistol on the shadowed and dripping beast. The upbeat tunes of the Russian folk music punctuated the snarl of the thing as it whipped around to face Misha.
“YOU ARE TOO LATE FOR FRIEND '' The voice spilled from various holes around the thing. With sounds of gravel being forced through flesh, the tone still somehow sounded like the small man of Mateo, even if the creature had very few traces of his flesh sticking to its dripping form. Within a second it lept towards Misha and without a second guess the gun belched fire. The small piece of metal tore through the creature, though it was not enough to stop its energy. Slamming down in front of him and bringing a thunderously hard slam into his side, the creature sent Misha hurling into the wall at the back of the shack. Wood splintered as the low light of the cabin was lost.
Misha woke, lying inside the small back room, “Uhhhghhh.” He let a moan escape before sitting up. The bodies of curious travellers and seekers of information alike were strung up and stored around the room. Likely as some sort of food source. “Oh Oleg,” he muttered as he eyed the opening now splintered through the wall into the main room of the cabin. “I guess you didn’t come as prepared as you should have.” Misha began to unload the revolver and slips his hand into an interior pocket of his jacket. He pulled out a few special looking cartridges with emblazoned symbols upon the shells. Before he was able to load them, the mass of the creature barges through, up, over and towards him.
“YOU SOON DEAD NEW RUSSIAN!” The creature gurgled forward with a sense of pained anger. While the previous strikes may not have been lethal, they certainly hurt. It clearly was angry now. Seeing it close the distance with its previous speed, Misha abandoned loading the gun and braced himself instead. No amount of training can steel one against the purely physical blows of a wretched beast. Misha found himself tumbling back out of the hole his body had just made in the wall. He managed to land on his feet and was able to load the special rounds.
“Not quite yet you piece of SHIT!” He called out mocking the creature as the last round click into the cylinder and he snapped the gun shut. The hammer set, he began to speak softly as the chamber emitted a soft glow, faint but there. “I’m not done with you!” He exclaimed as he saw the twisted gleam of the eyes of the creature peer over the hole in the wall.
Releasing a growling shriek the creature retorted, “YOU DIE NOW OTHERS ARE FOOD ENOUGH!!!” as it launched over the broken timbers and slammed foot after foot, hand after hand towards Misha. Its jaws unhinged as it lept but before it bit down into the flesh of this painful nuisance, Misha dropped down, dodging the thing and letting loose two shots directly point blank into its belly. Hellish green and blue fire erupted from the wounds as large bulbs exploded around the impact zones. The creature cried out and slammed into, then through, the outer wall out into the cold snow of the mountainside. It let out a weak chitter of pain and confusion.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t here Oleg.” Misha slowly stepped over the rubble of the wall and towards the thing. It’s body convulsing and folding, bones twisting inside its loose skin. “But this thing won't hurt anyone else.” Misha stood over it and let loose a loud single shot through what could best be described as its ‘head’. A few moments of the bright burn of green and blue light and the echo of the shot through the mountains, and Misha was alone.
New snow began to fall silently. He flipped open his notebook to a page full of names. He crossed out the last name on the page, ‘Oleg Fedorov.’ The steam of his breath was thick as he let out a long long sigh. With a fresh cigarette in his lips, he glanced at the Verum Private Detective badge paper clipped into his notebook. He looked into the cold night.
Softly, to the silence, he says, “I think I miss home.”

1x01 - A Fairy in Gardenia
A Winx Club Rewrite Snippet
I have completed episode one. It is at 15k+ words and I am still missing a bit of description which is... a lot. But I am just so excited about this so I am posting a little snippet here since the whole thing won’t be available until I’ve finished all of season 1.
“Okay,” Bloom held Stella’s gaze to tap into the confidence stored there. A fairy. She was going to be a fairy. Already was, according to Stella. “I’ll go with you.”
Stella squealed loudly and threw her arms around Bloom to draw her into a tight hug. Bloom hadn’t been so at ease in another person’s proximity–excluding her family–ever since Selina. But this was her future she was embracing.
A piercing scream from Kiko chilled her to the bone. Hadn’t they been through this already today?
“Quick! Come!” Stella grabbed her wrist and they barreled out the door and down the stairs under the sounds of furniture breaking and the house shaking as something raged inside.
A big blue humanoid creature followed by the ogre and a new army of ghouls was stalking towards her parents. It was even taller than the ogre and had several piercings all over its body with some symbols attached to them. Probably magical runes.
“What is that?” Bloom yelled over the commotion drawing the attention to them. She’d cost them the element of surprise but at least her parents made their way to the window, Mike’s body shielding Vanessa at all times even if his eyes were on Bloom. She had to stop him from coming back for her.
“A hunting troll,” Stella glared daggers at the ogre. “It’s tracked us here. Whoever’s sending all these creatures after me is very dense. I defeated you once and I’ll defeat you again,” she yelled at the monsters to cover up the noise of Mike sliding the window open.
The ghouls still lurched towards Bloom’s parents. It was only the ogre’s voice that held them back from sinking their teeth into them. “Not them, you little pests. The blonde. Get the blonde girl!”
A bright light flashed from Stella to leave her standing in the orange sparkling crop top and shorts again. Her wings lifted her in the air and she kicked the troll in the face as it charged towards her. Bloom used the distraction to run down the stairs.
“They’re too many. We have to separate them,” Stella shielded her from a bunch of ghouls.
“I can take the ghouls but how are you going to defeat two- Dad, no!” Bloom reached for him as if she could catch him before he threw himself on the ogre’s back but it was too late.
“Run, Bloom,” he yelled at her over the roaring of the ogre that was thrashing and grabbing behind his back to throw him off. “You leave my daughter alone.” Mike jumped off as the ogre threw himself backwards to crush the nuisance between his body and the wall. “Bloom, go!”
Bloom grabbed her mom’s umbrella from the coat rack and slammed it into a ghoul’s head hard enough to make it pop from the force. The others chased after her instead of swarming Stella, their vindictiveness enough to sway them from their goal.
The image of Stella writhing and screaming as they bit into her flesh flashed in her mind to make the umbrella slip in her clammy hand. She tightened her grip on her swinging bat and jumped over the little flight of stairs leading to the front door. Out on the street she was open from all sides but they’d have a harder time cornering her.
A whine from Kiko made her blood run cold. She’d forgotten about him. What kind of friend was she?
Kiko was terrified but unharmed in her mother’s arms and she stepped in the opposite direction to lure the ghouls away from the two of them. The ogre was thrown through the front door and crushed some of the creatures under his weight. The rest were caught under his body, too, but would be free again soon, giving her just enough time to rush between his momentarily motionless form and her mother.
Bloom jumped as Mike was flung out through the open window and landed in her feet. “Dad!”
“I’m fine,” he raised a hand in an attempt to wave her panic away but a loud groan tore from him as Stella was hauled out of their living room too and landed on him.
“Are you, guys, okay?” Bloom asked as Stella rolled over and up to her feet to step between them and the troll again.
“Just been a while since I’ve had something land on me,” Mike took her hand, the warmth of the touch spreading a vibration through her body. Her magic maybe. If only she could channel it to get rid of the ghouls that were circling them again.
“Mr. and Mrs. Bloom’s parents, the ghouls are entirely made up of magic but they’re weak since their master hasn’t given them too much of their own energy so if you could be so kind as to help deal with them,” Stella threw over her shoulder as she brought her hands together over her head, palms open towards the night sky. A ball of white moonlight gathered in them as if she’d taken the moon off the sky to hurl it at the troll. She blasted another one at the ogre to keep him down.
“Stella!” the vibration in Bloom’s core slipped from her fingers and the umbrella was following. “Don’t involve my parents in this! Use the scepter!” It was a lot to ask of the still exhausted princess but it could save them without needlessly endangering her parents.
“We’re already involved, Bloom,” Mike put a hand on her shoulder to ground her. “How can we help, Stella?”
“Just hit them as hard as you can with whatever you find. A strong enough blow will disintegrate them. Ah!” Stella screamed as the troll grabbed her wrist and spun around, dragging her behind as if it was trying to rip her arm off.
Mike was going to throw himself at that one, too, but the ghouls surrounded them. Bloom batted the umbrella at the one that was snapping its teeth towards her dad’s arm but they couldn’t help Stella.
