genuinely how do people make friends outside of discord. did people just walk up to you and talk to you at school just because they wanted to talk to you about something non school related? how do you find people who are willing to talk to you? how do you find people who are both alone and want to be bothered?

i attend a community college thats about half an hour from my house. im fortunate enough to know someone willing to give me a ride to my classes (they have classes too and live nearby), but if not id be out $320 just for a five week class on rides alone. ($1/ride, 2 rides to get to school, 2 rides back.) Not to mention the almost $800 they took for a single english class.
