To be honest, I haven't been able to draw shit recently. The stuff I have, I've struggled with. I've been working on this Radioapple comic for a little while, but I dont really like how it's turning out-

There's no particular timing when it's time to start... The only things I do while working are turning on the TV, playing music, and drinking a latte. When it comes to my name, I usually go to a cafe or family restaurant to work.

A: Almost all the major Jump works such as "Dragon Ball'', "SLAMDUNK'', and "Yu Yu Hakusho''. Other than that, I like "YAIBA'' and "Dragon Quest 4 Panel Manga Theater.'' I don't think I watched much anime when I was little.

A: I research online "Fashion O'share".

Q10: What's fun for you to draw rn?

A: It's fun to draw names for comedy parts because you can draw them easily. Stories where characters like Anya, Bond, and Yuri, who are driven solely by emotion, do unreasonable things. On the other hand, serious feature scenes are difficult in many ways.lllll

This art is a bit old but it's the last time I've drawn everyone all together haha

1. What was the first part of your wip that you created?

Surprisingly enough, Emmie (a main character, but not the protagonist) is the first part of my wip that I created (See the red girl on the top left). She was the protagonist of the very first book I wrote in fifth grade, and I wanted to pay homage to that work by including her. However, she's changed a LOT since then (even her name!), and the only remaining carry-over is the red streak in her hair.

2. If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?

Intro song: "Run to the Devil" by Dragonwyck or "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult. Outro song: "It Will Come Back" or "Francesca" by Hozier Instrumental: "Dragonlord Placidusax" from the Elden Ring Soundtrack or "Danse Macabre" by The Oh Hellos

3. Who are your favorite characters you’ve made? Why?

Andrew, my protagonist, is by far my favorite character. Writing from the POV of an incredibly sensitive, incredibly traumatized person (who feels things very deeply), while outwardly projecting a cruel and defensive facade is... *chef's kiss* Otherwise, I'd have to say Emmie. She is a very layered and multifaceted character with an incredibly important role to play in the story, and her kindness is refreshing amid a mostly hardened cast of characters.

4. What other pieces of media do you think would share a fan base for your story?

5. What has been your biggest struggle with your wip?

Keeping the facts straight. This has been a 10+ year project and sometimes I forget the revisions I've made, and accidentally cut out important details...

6. Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them!

Yes! Rimfaxe is a wraith, aka a shapeshifting shadow monster that takes the form of the things he's killed and eaten. (See the top left of the art above!) Emmie stole him from the government and now he's basically her kid.

7. How do your characters get around? (ex: trains, horses, cars, dragons, etc.)

They mostly walk (or fly on Rimfaxe)! Because Hell has a ceiling, the authorities restrict car transport to government officials ONLY to keep down emissions.

8. What part of your wip are you working on rn?

A giant, chapter-long fight scene that I've been working on for a literal year. It's TORTURE. Can't explain much else because of spoilers haha.

9. What aspects (tropes, maybe?) of your wip do you think will draw people in?

The main romance is an mlm enemies-to-friends-to-lovers angel x demon pairing! (Angel x demon pairings where they're both assholes>>>>>) Also I feel like there's been a void in lore-focused media dealing with angels and demons, and I'm hoping Wings of Faith will fill that void!

10. What are your hopes for your wip?

That I get it done after 10+ years... and that people will like it :')

So I picked up a new slight obsession:

A Quiet place

I've watched ppl play the recently released game and I fell in love with the concept. I also watched the first two movies and I'm currently watching the third movie. I'm not that far in the game yet and I'm not gonna Spoiler anything about the game or the third movie, but I do wanna write down my own opinion about it :>

The only spoiler about this is that it's gonna take a while to read 😅

My mental health is kinda shit so I'm not really in the mood to draw much sadly, which also explains why I'm not that active atm and why the sirenix and charming redesigns take so long.

I'm doing better now since I'm on meds and going to therapy, and I've picked up an old hobby of mine: Rainbow Looms. I've been making many dragons out of them so that I can stay creative and that does help me as well.

Now that that's out of the way:

First of all

I absolutely LOVE the concept

I'm normally not that big of a fan of horror movies, but personally, I don't think it fits the genre that much. It feels more like a thriller with jump scares that's heavily unsettling.

I think the main reason is that they don't have soundtracks that can make your blood run cold. Music and soundtracks play a very important role in movies. Not sure how to explain it well, but they help set the mood. If you pay attention, certain soundtracks actually make your heart beat faster or slower, depending on the setting of the movie.

But the lack of music fits perfectly. It makes jump scares more unpredictable imo. Also it wouldn't make much sense to make a movie where you have to be quiet and then plaster it full of action music.

The creatures

Holy shit I love them so much. They look amazing. The anatomy, the claws, THE HEAD?? It does look similar to the Demogorgons from Stranger Things, but I don't mind, they still look and act differently. They were meant to orient themselves with echolocation and I love how they make the clicking sounds and the head armor plate thingies separate.

But I do have one big con about the movie, and that's how the concept was made into a movie, bc to be real, it's not that good.

You're telling me we are going to follow this random ass family trying to survive in a world filled with hunter aliens that react to sounds, with no context or backstory?

I get they can't rrl introduce the characters bc yk, talking = sounds, but they don't mean anything to me. I don't know their names, personality or anything. There's a deaf girl, a dumb 4 year old, a scaredy cat boy, the badass mom and kinda-sexist-but-means-we dad with questionable intentions to bring a baby into a world where randomly aliens crashed and started killing everything that made sounds.

That's it. That's all I know. The characters don't mean anything to me bc I don't know them well.

So yeah, it's not that good of a movie.

But it would have made a great series.

In movies, you only have a limited amount of time to introduce the characters, but due to the limitation of speaking, you can't do that here. If they made a series, like the Walking Dead, they could have done that.

They could have introduced the characters more, shown how their lives were before the aliens arrived, how they changed after the apocalypse, how they adapted, how they survived, everything!

But maybe that's already happening rn. The third movie shows that so maybe it was intentional to drop a very questionable cliffhanger and let the viewers wait for the next movies to find out more. But even after the second movie, I still don't know much about the characters tbh. And now with the third movie, there are completely different characters to follow? The only character I know is Frodo the emotional support cat, who's the sweetest, I love him.

The game however does it SO MUCH better. It shows how the lives were before the apocalypse and makes it more interesting to see how they live now. I care about the characters cus I get to see how they were before the creatures arrived. AND I ACTUALLY KNOW THEIR NAMES FOR A CHANGE. I don't have to look at a character and be like 'oh, hello deaf stubborn teenager'. I look at a character and see a person. Someone with a story and how they changed in this now broken world. I can actually feel sad if a character dies bc they were more than just a face.

In the end, I don't hate it. In fact, I love it! Yes its questionable with plot holes but it's an amazing concept and I want to see and find out more about this.

But now comes a few questions that I noticed during the movies and game:

1. How did they all have electricity? Like, how does that work? Generators, nuclear power plants and windmills make a lot of noise/ need people to function. I didn't see any solar panels so where does the electricity come from?

2. Bringing a baby in this world? Really? You can't tell me that she got pregnant before the arrival since they lived for over a year in that shed and a pregnancy needs 9 months. Same situation in the game. Like, either use protection or don't have sex. Giving birth in this world is gonna be the start of a suicide mission.

3. One thing I noticed in the game were.... Crickets. Yk, the tiny NOISY insects? How are they still alive??? Also does this mean the aliens don't kill mosquitos? If u don't kill mosquitos, then why are they here?

4. Watching the second movie when the boy steps into a bear trap gave me an idea. If I was in the world, I would keep chloroform with me. Just 'pst pst' and presto, no more screaming person! Seems very effective to me. Nap time could really profit from that!

5. In the beginning of the third movie, the scene where the main character saved her cat and the guy was face to face with the alien, a helicopter then appeared and the creatures ran back outside and a stampede followed.

But the creatures only left after WE, the audience heard the helicopter. This creature has hypersensitive hearing, why does it run after we heard it? That doesn't make sense

6. After the first movie, the daughter and mom found out how to kill the creatures. Then a hoard runs towards their house. Ur gonna tell me that millions of people never thought about the idea that these creatures are stunned by high frequency's? That only one deaf girl with a hearing aid existed in that world to find that out? Aren't there multiple devices that actually release high frequency's? Just surround your house with those mole deterrent devices and ur done

7. These creatures can't swim. Makes sense. Their body isn't properly built for that. But in the first movie after the mother gave birth, the safety room was about to be flooded. She quietly went to her baby but in the meantime, the creature dived down and then came up again after a while. How does that work???? Does that mean that they don't need to breath? But then why don't they just walk over the seafloor to islands where noise is coming from? Speaking about not having an essential necessatie:

8. How do the aliens even survive? Like what's their purpose? They don't eat the people, they just kill and destroy anything that makes sounds, so what do they eat? They don't have a hierarchy so taking over planets to reduce noise is unlikely. The only thing I can think of why they came to earth is for population control, to stop patriarchy and climate change. Now that I think about that... they are actually pretty good for our society.... 🤔

9. And my biggest problem:

If you have to survive in a world with creatures

That react to sound

And have such though skin that can't be penetrated

Can someone please explain to me why SO MANY PEOPLE CARRY GUNS AROUND???

Before the first movie, they knew that these creatures can't be shot. So what's up with the guns then??? It's like they are asking to be killed. If u want to die that badly, then just:

Finished reading the chapter. My lungs feel like rocks rn. My heart is broken. An entire fic populated into my head as I stared at the wall processing the chapter. I will never recover.

There it was—an empty space by her side—the space I was meant to occupy. This space was reserved for me; her shadow, her guard. I needed to reach out to her, needed her next to me, immediately.

I don't even know where to start. As one does with time loop fics, I ponder the ramifications of changing the course of history by saving Liam.

He didn't die, therefore his life thread continues. He didn't die, therefore Sloan is not so wounded and bitter. He didn't die, therefore he developed feelings for Violet and she for him. (let's be real) He didn't die, therefore he and Ridoc were able to become friends in their mutual concern for Violet, and Ridoc is obviously quite happy to be in Liam's proximity. (who wouldn't)

What are the differences between the life he could have had, versus the life Violet stole for him? She straight ripped him out of fate's hands, and how does that impact Liam as a person, though he has no conscious understanding of the act? Does it tie his soul to hers in a way that neither of them realize? Does his blood thrum with some divine need to balance the scales? Does dragon magic require a tit for tat? Is his love real, or is it just an illusion brought on by forces he has no understanding of?

Does it even matter? Can we not just settle into some ravenous urge that he feels to please and care for Violet, and just let it happen? She tried so hard to save her golden boy, twice, and doesn't she deserve a little worship?

Her time loop signet basically makes her a god in my opinion, and I love how you effortlessly write the draw she has, even Jack seems compulsive in his obsession with her. And it feels natural, though no one else understands why they sense her otherworldliness.

Anyways, this was THE BEST chapter I've read in a long time. You remain my favorite Fourth Wing writer. You inspire me.

I had to sit down and re-read this a couple times just to process everything but I'm dying. DYING. Over your take on the chapter.

This here is so important to me. I needed the reason for Liam catching feelings to be related to her signet. Like all this would've never happened if Violet hadn't grown in some way.

On this, I wanted Liam's attaction to her to be incredibly un-divine. The juxtaposition between Vi/Xaden vs Vi/Liam is something I think about a lot. Like. In my mind, Violet and Xaden and bonded in life, in an almost 'fated' way. There's a forced proximity because of Tairn and Sgaeyl. But in this story, the Liam/Vi relationship only exists because Vi has literally fought for his life against all odds. So in a sense, Xaden/Vi exists because of some divine fate, but Liam/Vi exists in spite of fate.

So to hopefully answer your questions, Liam's realisation of his love for Vi is very much a result of the way she's changed because of the time loops. Because she learned to be understanding of secrets and the war, and because she learned to accept a bit of caretaking from him. I need their attraction to be real and romantic in a very un-magical way, forged through Violet's brute force, and existing only in the 0.000001% of alternate timelines.

Do I sound insane? Yes. Probably. This fic is driving me insane.

Anyways, this was THE BEST chapter I've read in a long time.

And this is a bit off-topic, but I can't believe how you slept on your latest Service Dog Johnny chapter, and talked about struggling with his characterisation, only to put out the best communication and care I've read in a smut fic in forever. Here's a little bit about him bc I'm feeling silly and want to ramble. Ik my original content doesn't get as many notes but I really don't have much motivation for otherwise rn and I don't want to shut up about him. (Anon in my drafts your ask will be answered soon)

Also since I've been feeling demon slayer a lot he will be in my crossover au, particularly with doma bc tbh I kind of ship that guy with most of my ocs these days.... May make a doma x ryūshi!reader soon so watch out for that or whatever..... I still ship kokudouma tho............

He but honestly not him!

He was born of a dragon father and a human mother. The father was a deadbeat just like mine. 💀 He was also the one who gave Solon the name "solon," but upon literally fucking leaving he was left with a western-seeming given name and a Japanese last name because dad never got married to mom. But mom calls him ryūshi (龍子) which means "child of a dragon" or "dragon child"

Which... He is. But he kinda hates it. Hates the meaning and hates the bullying he received for having "demon-like" features...which are literally just traits he inherited from dragons in my ou (Who wouldn't?)

So he goes by his father's name and tells anyone he meets of his western name instead. Which weirds people out when they realize that yeah, he is Japanese lmao! But he usually explains it by saying he studied abroad for a period of time and adopted a western name as a result.

That aside... What traits does he have?

Claws.

Fangs.

Eyes. (Heterochromic, his right eye a direct juxtaposition to his left eye. One is draconic and the other is... Normal 💀)

Bioluminescent marks. Dont ask how.

Carnivorous tendencies. All he'll eat is anything with meat this guy is a vegan's worst nightmare

And he hides all of these to the best of his ability!

Noticeably sharp teeth? Yeah I think I'll just not speak often. Let's throw on a mask to boot and never open my mouth wide when I don't have one.

Carnivorous tendencies? My bad bro I'm just a meat lover (both kinds)

As for his marks, they tend to fizzle out for most of the year, and reappear around the same time his birthday month is right around the corner... Or already there.

He can't control the glow so he kinda just goes into solitary confinement and when he isn't doing that he's bundling up to cover said glow 💀

He's also at his strongest around the time the marks appear. Stronger than he can manage. There's a lot of money spending around those times because if he does literally anything too hard his possessions can and will shatter to pieces.

As far as like, the KNY universe is concerned and his involvement with it?

Mightve considered becoming a slayer, but he instead chose against it because the occupation seemed very risky. You know. In spite of his unusually high endurance. And general hardiness.

He has no reason to become involved with a battle for others when he's battling himself ig

But that's not to say he hasn't bounced around the option.

He's only encountered a demon once and that demon mistook him for another demon. They never saw each other again.

But he has come across slayers plenty of times, and he admires their resolve to protect those around them.

Not exactly sure why nobody knows about them. But he doesn't have the courage to inform, lest he sound more insane than he already looks.

Oh yeah, he has really bad self esteem. And even worse self perception.

His mom wasn't exactly cruel to him all the time, but she was cruel about giving him the name ryūshi given he literally is one.

Although he isn't a doormat and will fight back, he is afraid to most of the time—not necessarily out of kindness (although he doesn't really want to hurt anyone too badly) but rather fear of being reprimanded for self defense. He can't exactly control how strong he is yet.

But dear God, does he hope he'll be able to soon. 💀

If you can, can you talk about old Galarian art? I think the style and stories they use for it are very interesting

I think my abilities to talk about style, methods and specific influences are limited but I'll gladly analyze it from a historical perspective! I'll just pull up some of the pictures I have on my phone rn and ramble for a bit.

So this is a reconstruction of a carpet from about 1600 years ago, meaning it was actually not made by the people that would eventually found Galar as we know it. Before the Galarians came to this territorry several nordic tribes lived in the area. This carpet was made by the Scutu-Saxons but we actually don't know a lot about it for sure but it is remarkable for being the earliest depiction of Pokémon without humans.

One theory I read about is that this was part of an ensemble of carpets, all depicting different seasons, this one depicting spring, symbolised by the tree in the middle, a rookidee on top and herds of Mudsdale and Dubwool with their young travelling through the wild area. Now on to actual Galarian artists.

This was on a canvas in a shrine dedicated to Calyvax. It's around 1000 years old and meant to retell the story on how Calyvax first saved a human farm town from a fierce dragon pokémon.

In most iterations the story goes, that a dragon threatened to destroy the town if they didn't sacrifice three humans every year to it to devour. The townsfolk would follow this grim tradition for 333 years until one child decided to pray to Calyrex. But because only one child prayed Calyrex was too weak to finish the dragon off. In the end the entire town prayed and with that power Calyrex freed the town and banished the dragon forever.

Why is this Impdimp here? I don't actually know, it's probably just symbolic. It looks really off putting too because at this point the people who were working in scriptoriums and drawing for chapels are most likely spending their entire lives inside of the city walls and therefore might never see a pokémon up close and have to rely on second or third hand accounts and thus… human nose Impdimp.

This is also why it's hard to classify the dragon type as anything more specific. The language old Galarian stories use is not really one to one translateable to modern languages. They'd also call most dragon types "dragon", "wyvern", or "wyrm". So the dragon type might be an early form of Duraludon, this might be an ancestor of Duraludon or this might be a completely different dragon altogether, could be Charizard for all we know.

The next one is from a ~700 year old scripture cataloguing 100 species of pokemon, including the here depicted Rapidash. So kind of like a very old Pokédex (though more based on legend and hearsay than actual scientific findings).

This one's interesting to me because the actual text tells the supposedly real account of King Alfred IV forming a bond with a Rapidash. It was then tragically killed by his own soldiers who thought he was being ambushed. This one is interesting because of two things:

1) Even though worship of pokémon was already widespread, taking on pokémon as companions wasn't. Only certain pokémon were considered trustworthy and then only under certain circumstances. 2) Rulers would often depict themselves with or even as Rapidash because they were said to only show themselves to the most righteous and true of heart. So this story is probably completely fictional.

You'll probably see a print or replica of this one in any pub in Ballonlea, this is Johann Henry's 'Grimsnarl' (~550 years old). My friends at uni have told me that this painting is kind of notorious for spawning countless rumors at school. (Á la 'if you stare at this picture for 5 minutes straight a Grimsnarl will kill you in three days').

It's actually based on a story that paints the Grimsnarl as the good guy. A woman's home being haunted by ghost types, supposedly the ghosts of people who she lost or wronged. But then she decides to be kind to a little Impdimp, who grows to be a Grimsnarl who then could defend her when she was asleep.

This might be kind of a true story. The first recorded person with a true pokémon companion (meaning not just a pokémon to help with labor) in Ballonlea was actually a woman with a Grimsnarl. Her real name is sadly lost to time but I have heard her being called Adelaide, Adriana and Arianna. The rest of the tale of course, not really verifyable.

DayDreamBreeze. also my original gamertag on minecraft! i uhm. shes not supposed to be a cheese changling. She's inspired by a fluttershy toy i had and the beautiful artwork for the honey queen chrysalis from ink rose's interpretation of her backstory. i swapped the honey for water and she's supposed to be a pegasus? but i drew her as a changling here for some reason and i have no clue why

Casey Cockatrice. Seeing pony youtubers discuss the show in their oc form, and thinking "wow, they're all just pegasi" i was like "i should do that but not be a pegasus" so i made an oc and never did that lol. probably a good thing though. anyhow. Casey was originally supposed to be an angel cockatrice but I didn't know how to do that without just making a chicken with a lizard tail until just now im realizing i should make it a dutchie omg. Casey enjoys the ponies and wants to befriend them but is confined to the everfree forest, so she has dawned a blindfold so she doesnt hurt anyone and she likes to hang out with zecora and collect herbs with her. she still just kinda does chicken/dragon things most of the time like pecking at the ground and sitting on treasure. The ring in her comb is supposed to be a halo. halos stuck in the character's design physically (usually through the hair or something similar) was a common thing i did for characters that were close to me at the time.

She is. very bright. she was supposed to have a much more subtle color palette but i didnt do that and now she looks like sprite lmao. anyhow. i drew her randomly when i went through a small mlp phase a few years ago, mainly just attraction for chrysalis, but i guess she exists. her cutie mark is supposed to look like a water lily made of lemons but it kinda just looks weird idk. i'd say her talent is supposed to be like.. maybe floral arrangement? i think i had some inspiration from early mlp background ponies and i remember the florists were my favorite.

JASON!! my favorite little idiot. he's a griffin i made in pony.town after realizing if i use the singular freckle and closed the eyes, it looked like he had tiny eyes and angry brows lol. all i do with him is act vaguely like skydoesminecraft and boop people with my bird fingers.

Honey Suckle. The only OC that I have surviving evidence of actually writing their backstory and whatnot. They were created with the idea of them experimenting on their body trying to turn themselves into a bee (basically beeatris as a horse, i know none of you know my persona beeatris but its pretty much her without the demonic activity and disney fairy influence), though i have thought of maybe changing it to her wanting to become a breezy or a changeling. She lost her horn because of this experimentation and is fluffier and has patches of hair on her eyes because of it. i forgot if she had a cutie mark or if i just didnt draw it or if it's overgrown? I think a lot of this character's experimentation was based off of memories of my brother who had leukemia and tried experimental treatments, mainly the fuzziness he got from his chemo or steroids i forgot which one it was. I also drew her as a kirin, idk if that was supposed to be a thing of like.. me doing it as an alternate idea of what she's aiming to achieve, as an alternate form of what she was born as.. or if it was just a doodle.. but it was pretty cool. a good quote for her is the vine thats like "i am a wolf on all levels but physical"

Next is Pegasus. I originally had a different name for them but i don't think i can share it here. Pegasus is also related to my brother though and is very cool. they're really just a celestial body as a pony like Celestia and Luna, but with more of a crystal pony inspiration. also, they speak enchanting table only and i think thats really funny. same size as Luna. also, she can hide in Luna's hair.

Stone Hoof. based somewhat off of Smokey Quartz from Steven Universe, i thought it'd be cool to also give them speckling like an appaloosa horse or vitiligo. you can't see their cutie mark but it's supposed to be a yoyo and i put it in the shape of the symbol of leo since im a leo and i designed them on the same day as pegasus lol. they are intended to be a friend to Honey Suckle.

Finally, we have... I didn't name this one actually. uhm. well! it looks kinda like scootaloo, especially g3 or 3.5. which was unintentional but she was one of my favorite ponies and i had a few toys of her so it kinda makes sense that this is what my brain thought of when i thought "well loved my little pony doll". The hair is based off of the fettucine hair on those g4 plushies and also somewhat based on dreads. the patterns on their hooves is the heartshaped horseshoe from those promotional toys where you can scan them in for video game perks. and the wings are colored after discord's wings. I also got inspo from Stitches from Animal Crossing.

So, let's talk about Dacia (well, I'm gonna be the only one who does rn). Dacia plays a big part in Romania's history even if it's small compared to other ancients from that time. But I don't care. And honestly I don't mind that much that he's (yes I think he's male) not in the show or in the manga. Maybe I would've been disappointed if he was anyways cuz I prefer my own design of him ...that I didn't draw often...

But suddenly I feel like talking about him, more about character interpretations actually... well headcanons if you will (how can it be headcanon if there's no canon?)

So I think he's a tall and bulky guy with long blonde hair, blue eyes and rocking a beard (it would make sense for most man ancients to have beards tho, don't know if they had smth to shave with besides Rome), he has a little scar on his right eyebrow mostly as a decor for now, I gave him fangs too so he relates to Romania but also because I want a wild look on him. I have arts on my old blog but I want to draw him again with my more improved art style one day.

I had something that looks like a dacic armor design but it had too many details and I was behind with the skills to complete it or even make art of, not anymore, but I just drew him in modern clothes like that. I have a modern look of him where he has shorter hair (long can work too since it's pretty common nowadays). He can look scary sometimes, however that's just looks, I gave him a gentle personality in contrast.

Magic, fairies and other mythical creatures are a thing in hetalia, so I don't see why not make that sick dragon wolf symbol a real thing that he has around, (and I would).

As for interpretations, his relationship with Romania is basically father and son, but he wasn't around him long enough as he lost to a battle against Rome when Ro was really young and he vanished since then. So Ro's memories of him are pretty fuzzy and vague. (Maybe that's what the scar on his face could be about).

Romania may have wanted Rome's acknowledgment before, maybe he still does (he's a romance country regardless if others denied it) but he would've wanted to know Dacia better too.

Dacia thinks Rome is really annoying and he was bothered by him all the time when that guy felt like doing it. Wolves and nature were a significant part in his life so he was surrounded by wolves all the time.

If he was present around Romania nowadays, he'd find ways to embarrass him whenever he could. He would be updated with meme culture and dad jokes, which would make him kind of immature but that's the funny thing about him.

It's with jae-ha from yona of the dawn. I travel with the group, joining a little bit after all the dragon warrior's were gathered together. I was traveling by myself, lonely and convinced I was just a beast meant to be hated and feared, as she can turn into a giant white fox, and many people she meets seems to have an instinct of caution. The group helped me see myself as more than a beast, jae-ha especially is encouraging by treating me as a girl, not a beast. It's an established relationship, formed after thinking his flirting was only him joking since he flirts with everyone for a good while, until he was able to convince me he's genuine with liking and wanting me. I'm not as strong as Hak or the dragon warriors, but I can hold my own in a fight. I'm a bit naive, sweet, quiet but always with a quip to add to banter with him, fierce when threatened, just wants to be liked and to care for others even if those people are the people who shun me, and dedicated to Yona like the others in gratitude and cares for everyone in the crew. Also, smol. He uses a lot of different pet names.

I didn't mention Valentine's Day in this letter simply bc I don't think such a holiday exists in their time period LOL so this is just a random love letter bc Jae-ha is so romantic he can write one for his s/o anytime :D. The group had been on their feet the whole day and finally stopped to set up camp, to your relief.

Jae-ha came over and took a seat beside you.

“How’re you feeling, my pretty lady?” He raises an eyebrow while grabbing one of your hands and leaving a kiss to its surface, maintaining eye contact the whole time.

“Doing good, just tired,” you lean your head on his shoulder as he draws small circle into the back of your hand, pressing gentle kisses onto your head.

“Take a breather, don’t worry about setting anything up, me and the rest of the guys will handle it all, so just relax your precious body, my love. Oh!” He proclaims and reaches into his robe and pulls out a folded piece of paper, “This is for you. I wrote it a few nights ago, so give it a read.”

You silently take the paper from him, surprised that he wrote something for you; you unfold and begin to read;

To My Beauty,

It seems like only yesterday when you appeared before us in your giant white fox form, looking scared and lonely, but relieved at the same time to see friendly faces. Thankfully, Yona convinced you that it was okay for you to approach us and as you did you transformed into your human form, cautious and worried about scaring us off–not that you could with that gorgeous face.

ok I went through my blog and I have already done Xisuma, Mumbo and Scar, Etho, False, Grian, Zedaph, Impulse, Joe and Cleo, Ren, and now Pearl! Boy oh boy that’s a lot of hermits this has been so fun and I know I keep saying that but it’s true ok

First impression - I distinctly remember my first introduction to Pearl was Grian mentioning her in some of his hermitcraft eps and saying “my good friend Pearlescentmoon helped me with this design” like twice and I was like “wow his good friend that he’s mentioned more than once. I wonder if she’ll ever join hermitcraft.” Which first of all past me that’s not how it works ok second of all how did you guess that there was literally no talk of anyone else joining hermitcraft you weren’t even on hermitblr or in the fandom on any social media what. Also I went to her yt channel and the first thing I saw was the dragon video and I’m like ok. this is leagues above what I could ever build I am now a Big Fan.

Impression now - Pearl for most skrunkly in the server????? S o u p. If you were to compress and stretch her out like a spring she would make the whee noises she made with the trident. She is easily Most Noise hermit rn. I want to put her in a box and microwave it just to see what would happen. I want to put her on top of a lamp. I want to carry her in my pocket. She’s cousins with the moon. Pearl my beloved.

Favorite moment - think I have to go with the whee trident moment here. Or honestly any moment with soup. I love pearl sm.

Idea for a story - I had this thought a while ago and it is going to take me quite a few words so bear with me. So she said the moon in s8 is her cousin right. And I saw a post that said what if the moon in s9 is like her aunt or something. So i got to thinking what if all the moons from past seasons were related to her and they would tell her what the hermits were up to each season. This could be angsty if you want like watcher!grian with the s6 moon being like “PEARL YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHO JOINED THIS SEASON” and her being like “why would he join a bunch of strangers but not tell me he’s alive :(“ you could go comedy with pearl hearing all the shenanigans the hermits got up to from past season moons and immediately devising a master plan to get invited to hermitcraft that may or may not end with an entire server covered in glitter. You could go angsty but mostly awkward with pearl and the s8 moon seeing each other again at the yearly moon reunion. There’s so much potential here.

Random opinion - not really a pearl specific opinion but can I just say how glad I am that we’ve gone from characterizing pearl as the mom friend and only responsible one of the group (s8) to incredibly skrunkly now??? It’s really great and exactly what she deserves she literally tore down and rebuilt her entire starter base in s8 just because it was facing the wrong way. She had upside down creepers for pets. She was never the sane one in the group ok

Favorite relationship - listen. Sky siblings my beloved even though it’s mostly a fanon thing I think. But also soup squad my absolute top tier beloved

Favorite headcanon - this isn’t a headcanon that exists anywhere outside of my brain and the canvas I have where I’m working on the drawing but. Pearl with butterfly nebula wings. Need I say more?
