Decided to make an Interactive Fic / CYOA thing for a friend, and holy damn is anything related to Choicescript a genuinely terrifying experience. My heart rate was measurably increased by the third failed run.

But. Here it is.

Q1: are you named after anyone?

Nope, although when I was in the consideration of the “what should I change my legal name to” process, I did consider “Puck”, after @/AnotherPlumbob, so I guess that kinda counts lol.

Q2: when was the last time you cried?

A2: Probably in my second-to-last year of high school. 2020 was a rough year.

Q3: do you have kids?

A3: nope and i don’t plan to have any.

Q4: do you use sarcasm a lot?

A4: I don’t really use sarcasm unless I need to.

Q5: what sports do you play/ have played?

A5: None. If I was a TS2 Sim, my interest in Sport would be 0.

Q6: what's the first thing you notice about other people?

A6: Their fashion and hairstyle.

Q7: eye color?

A7: Brown, with a sort of amber starburst colour

Q8: scary movies or happy endings?

A8: Depends on my mood

A9: speedrunning any language in duolingo

A10: Aotearoa/New Zealand

A11: playing TS4, running a semi-active simblr

A12: I have two cats. Their names are Lexie and Meeko (both girls).

A13: About 185-6cm. I haven’t checked in a while.

Q14: favorite subject in school?

A14: Japanese, or any other language subject that’s not English. Also maths.

Q15: dream job?

A15: Probably a musical artist, or a streamer. I do not have the singing skill or the charisma skill to do either of them though.

And it's back to the Saturday gig! It's packed here on this fall evening, but there is still room for you! All it takes is $20, and in return you get six decades of arcade goodness, all you can play! Using a bit of arcade math as @retro.electric.arcade own Nicole did, just by playing one game from each of our 62 old school arcade game which in most other places is 50 cents nowadays, you won't even get through half of our machines before you totaled $20. Never mind the 10 full-size enviro mental machines, most go for 1.50 per play minimum. That's 13 credits on any one machine. Or up to 40 credits on our old school pinball machines and 20 on our state of the art Stern and Jersey Jack machines. So when you acutally crunch the numbers, $20 (and psst, $15 on Sundays) is a bargain!

Okay, on to me. I'm still processing everything that went down on my trip to Connecticut, most of it great, some of it not so much. Make no mistake, I'm glad that I did it. I have thoughts, but it's going to have to wait until I record episode 69. I thought I had brought episode 68 with me to edit but alas, no. So I need to edit and post it first. I think I will do this either Sunday or Monday night and I will post it asap. As always, stay tuned!

so. i made a gnome generator

thank you to everyone who supplied me with gnome names (i am still accepting more in my ask box if you have one you'd like to share with the class)! i have been learning basic html stuff and have used my meager knowledge to create a clunky, yet functional, gnome generator. the gnome and their stats will change upon refreshing the page, but you can click the gnome gname button as many times as you like.

I understand intellectually just how ludicrously convenient, not to say integral, transporter technology is for the fully automated luxury gay space communism functioning of the star trek universe. but I do somehow feel that there should be more attention paid in-universe to the fact that when you step into one of those things you are playing russian roulette with your immortal soul. we should at least see some people do the sign of the cross or something before they step into one. it probably goes under the 'flying is actually statistically safer than driving' category of thing, I'll acknowledge, but the worst a plane (or spaceship) can ultimately do is crash and kill you. when the transporter malfunctions it will straight up divide the universe by zero and make you an evil twin while it's at it
