My fav 3 versions/interpretations of South Park characters thing!

I’m so sorry this took much longer than anticipated, I was gonna do it Friday but then I had a panic attack for the first time in forever because my CFS have been real bad lately and I was in such bad shape my BFF had to come and smack me back to life, and Sunday was suddenly full on breakdown day, a bad BPD episode and yeah, it was rough, but today I’m doing better and I realize nobody really cares about my personal issues lol but I just have a need to excuse myself here and I realize that’s kinda dumb but here we are ANYWAYS I hope these are okay, and that these are in no way the RIGHT interpretations, just my personal favorites!

Kyle:

I’m not gonna lie, I love nerdy, preppy Kyle. Sweater-vests, collard shirts, doesn’t realize how attractive he is Kyle, oblivious to people having crushes on him Kyle, set on Harvard to become a lawyer and fight for justice and argue for a living, yanno?

I also really like the more dorky and nerdy Kyle, where he has really niché interests that he gets totally invested in and talks about 24/7, loves reading and studying, but not just to get good results, but because he genuinly enjoys it.

The last version I can think of with him, is the tall, lanky and kinda hard to read Kyle. He keeps a lot of his feelings to himself, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have them. He plays basketball, he’s good at it too, and while he does well in school and everyone expects him to go into law, he has some totally different dream he keeps to himself for now. He kinda perks up a bit when in smaller crowds, esp with his cloest friends, but he still carries a lot of secrets that some time needs to come out.

I like Tweek in so many ways these were hard to pick, but I’mma try to narrow it down a bit and not go totally off haha

I actually quite enjoy the jagged, tired Tweek, the one who with help from friends and family manage to get off the meth his parents feed him secretly, but who still struggle with withdrawal, dark bags under his eyes, kinda pale and with sharp features, but he’s still a sweet and kind boy, a boy who wants to make the right choices and change the world to a better place, but who still has a darkness he carries, and the fact that he never gives up that fight is what makes him so special

and okay I have to be honest, I do love myself some sunshine boy Tweek. This Tweek still has issues, he is maybe even more anxious than the last one, but he’s also just as vibrant and energetic as he is anxious! He is an artist, he paints with bright colors, he composes beautiful, hopeful melodies, he feels everything so much, and he is a contagious and exciting person to be around. Cannot dress for the life of him. So much mis-match and odd outfits, but it kinda works?

The last one I’m gonna mention for this wonderful boy, is the more alternative Tweek. He writes obscure poetry, he watches too many conspiracy theory videos on youtube, he draws the monsters in his mind, and he writes the scariest, most hauntingly beautiful stories on the internet, and people online love him. He has no idea how to deal with being popular in that sense, because irl he is the type to not belong to a certain friend group, but he does go along well with most people on a surface level. Dark circles, shaky hands, crooked and cute smiles, baggy t-shirts and ripped jeans. When he first opens up to someone, he really, really does, and he will always support and be there for you. If you deserve it, that is.

I love nerdy Nichole who isn’t afraid to show it! Maybe she’s a streamer or youtube gamer even, I can def see her writing fanfiction, and being hella good at it too! Makes quite a name for herself online, and hangs out with the boys a lot irl, has game nights with the boys from Board Girls (even Cartman sometimes), is funny in a sarcastic way, but never mean.

Popular girl Nichole is also a favorite for me, but not in the “classical” sense. I imagine her to be a sporty, maybe on both the basket and volleyball team, captain for the basket one, she’s a born leader, she’s kind and fair, but can also be strict, and people always trust her to be honest and true.

Artsy Nichole!! I imagine her in bright yellow dresses and with her hair flowing and free, with flowers in her hair, freckles on her face, a big, genuine smile, a loud laughter that is so contagious, she loves spending time with Jimmy because they have a very similar humor, and she’s a theater kid, she sings like an angel and can act, oh boy can she act, she can make anyone laugh or cry in just a blink of an eye, she’s just a human sun-ray and I love her a lot

Butters:

I love edgy Butters soooo much??? Like, he’s still a kind and bright boy, but he can also stand up for himself a lot more, he likes fashion a lot, he gets tattoos and piercings, he explores tons of ways to express himself, he’s a yes-dude, he goes out on dates a lot, but isn’t ready for a “real” relationship yet, but he enjoys meeting people and testing out himself around different types of people! Also he is a bi icon change my mind jk u can’t

I have a weak spot for the kind of soft and timid looking Butters too, who wears pastel colors and have big, innocent eyes, he is genuine and kind, but he carries something darker inside, something he isn’t sure how to deal with, something that scares him, but in reality it’s just normal feelings, anger, resentment and fear, but he’s lived his life ignoring them so much they catch him off guard at times. He learns to live with them slowly, and he does so with lots of help and patience from friends and loved ones.

Okay, last one, totally self-indulging here, but yeah, happy sunflower boy is also a big favorite. He is more confident than the previous version, but in a gullible way if that makes any sense? He believes the best in people, and if he is proven wrong, he’s willing to try to help them become better people, if they want to or not! This is honestly the version I love most with Stan, Butters being the ray of sunshine in Stan’s life and Stan being the realism to keep Butters grounded and them both supporting each other so much? Fuck yeah that’s the good stuff.

Himbo Clyde!!! Jock dude who genuinely loves sports, he’s a team player, and while he might not be super intellectual, he is very socially smart, he is kind and empathic, he is funny and likable, he always tries his best to make everyone feel included, and while he loves chicks a lot, and is a sexual dude, he does it with nothing but respect and admiration for the ladies!

Bisexual disaster Clydeeee <3 obv being bi isn’t a personality trait, but he is very open about it, he wants to be confident and good at flirting, but goddamn is he a MESS! He’s also a huge supporter of every single relationship his friends is in, he loves love, in all shapes and forms, he is emotional and kind and awkward in an endearing way.

Can’t leave out crybaby Clyde, can we now? He’s a bit of an awkward bean as well, but he owns it a bit more. He is kinda like a puppy, a cute, excitable and emotional puppy who loves his friends, video games and lazy movie nights, kinda chubby, he loves baking and does it a lot with Tweek, he is also a huge nerd for Harry Potter and totally geek out over it with Kyle and Nichole sdhlksgdhl

First up I guess I should put my high school AU Kenny. I know it’s controversial, but I imagine this Kenny to be more on the quiet side, but not really in a shy way. He’s just a bit of an observer who doesn’t speak unless he really sees fit, and while he still has his crude humor and is kinda rumored to be sleeping around a lot, he actually struggle with intimacy issues. He never imagined them to include sexual stuff, but turns out they do, and balancing being sexually open and curious and having these issues ain’t easy on the boy, let me tell you that.

This one is kinda heavily inspired by Luces, but I love him as kind and loyal, but also a bit more chatty and charming, but not for his own gain. He wants others to feel good about themselves, in social settings, his friends, during sexy times, he is selfless and good, but he is also living for the moment, he is a likable and wonderful guy, but he does still only REALLY open up emotionally to people he really trusts. Not traditionally attractive, but interesting looking in a way. Lots of freckles, bit of buck teeth with a big gap between his front teeth, messy kinda curly hair, long straight nose. Always wears baggy hoodies and worn out jeans, shrugs and gives that lopsided smile when people ask him about anything personal.

Mysterious Kennyyyy. You think you know him, everyone does, but in reality, very few have seen the real him. He likes people, and he likes to help them, he’s always down to listen to people’s problems and help them, he wants to inspire kids like himself to never give up and think there’s only one path for them, because he knows there is not. Volunteers at the animal shelter with Stan, works part time at Tweek Bro’s and is good buddies with Tweek. Had a early sexual debut, slept around a bit and got his heart broken unexpectedly when he was a Freshman, so there are some walls there now, but he ain’t usually one to turn down someone who’s up for it and whom with he has good chemistry either.

Realism in Sanditon

Since detractors of this show are adamant about how unrealistic and how not accurate to the time period Sanditon is, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite realistic details that make Sanditon stand out from the fray of period drama adaptations.

Sidney’s portrait

One thing that really bugs me in period dramas is how portraits always look exactly like the real person they’re supposed to represent. Take Mr. Darcy for example:

It’s almost as if someone took a picture and then put some brush strokes on top of it, doesn’t it?

Except that things were hardly ever as simple as that because not all portraitists were so good as to paint a replica of one’s face and because sometimes, even if they were, as in the case of Thomas Lawrence who painted everyone who was anyone during the Regency, including the regent himself, they were obliged to tweek reality from this:

Which is why I take such delight in Sidney’s portrait. You could see how this:

could be the inspiration for this:

But it doesn’t quite fit, does it? Me thinks Sidney should have asked for his money back. That painting does not do him justice.

The ball scene

One thing period dramas are known for is their ball scenes and the beautiful, albeit strange to our modern eyes, dancing. However should we really expect that these balls would have looked like perfectly choreographed scenes of obviously trained dancers in period costumes? I mean look at this:

This looks more like Swan Lake than a night at your local club, which is what a ball ultimately was. And speaking of clubs, anyone whose ever been to one knows that not all dancers are created equal. So why should they have been during the regency? Surely you’d have differences in proficiency based on whether or not you had had a dancing instructor or if you had a musical ear or not (even people during the early 19th century would have been born with no ear for music) or even how much practice you got (someone who lived in London, for example, would be expected to be a better dancer simply because he/she got more opportunities to dance than someone who lived in a small, remote village) and on and on.

And it’s exactly that realistic disparity that Sanditon portrays so wonderfully.

For example, you can tell from the scene that Esther Denham and Georgiana Lambe are the best dancers of the lot.

Look at those pirouettes!

Georgiana even manages to look graceful while dancing with grease lightning Arthur over here:

At the other end of the spectrum, we have sweet angel Charlotte who loves to dance and will stand with anyone who will partner her but … she’s not very good, is she?

She looks like a limping dear, bless her.

And then you have the men .... The Sandition fellas, not unlike men today, all have their signature moves!

The annoying guy who does the chicken dance:

The older guy who “escaped” from home and is now partying like it’s 1768:

And … Arthur doing his best Michael Flatley impersonation:

This is a long way of saying that when you say that the ball in P&P 1995 (for example) was more accurate than the ball scene in Sanditon, you aren’t actually talking about historical accuracy and even less about realism but rather what you have been taught to expect from a period adaptation.

Also please do tell Mary Bennet, who garnered praise for her renditions of “Scotch and Irish airs”, that Scottish music at a regency ball was unheard of.

Charlotte’s hair

I’d wager to bet that even Sidney’s butt was less controversial than the fact that Charlotte wears her hair down. Half the Sanditon tag is filled with people that are just unusually angry at this small, and rather inconsequential, choice.

That being said would they be satisfied with a very simple, not thrills bun like the one Elizabeth Bennet wore in the 2005 adaptation?

I would say no because at the time the film came out, people hated how badly her hair was done. But here’s the thing: Charlotte is even poorer than Lizzie, has 11 siblings and most likely no actual chamber maid that might assist her with the kind of hairstyle people complaining about the hair choice actually want:

So if you really wanted to go historically accurate with Charlotte’s hair you’d go with a very simple bun that would then be covered by one of these monstrosities:

“I have made myself two or three caps to wear in the evenings since I came home, and they save me a world of torment as to hair-dressing!” - Jane Austen, 1798

I, for one, would much rather have Charlotte’s hair down than whatever poor Jane is wearing up there.

The dandy

We all know the term and I assume the man who invented it, Beau Brummell:

The Dandy has come to represent the height of men’s fashion and elegance. Fun fact though: that super high collar and cravat that Mr. Darcy is so fond of wearing?

That was designed so the wearer was forced to keep his nose high up in the air, which was particularly useful because of the less telegenic habit of snorting snuff that regency men engaged in. So if you are truly committed to historical accuracy please imagine Mr. Darcy with brown snot coming out of his nose from now on.

There is no brown snot in Sanditon thankfully but Sidney and his friends do engage is some heavy duty smoking using these long, frilly cigarette holders:

I think Sidney just about pulls it off which I assume is as far as anyone could pull off this trend

In addition to that, there’s a great deal of cane wearing with these characters even though those walking sticks aren’t assisting them to walk in anyway which makes canes truly the eye glasses you wear when you don’t have an eyesight problem of the 19th century.

Between the cigarette holders, the useless canes and the mad hatter look:

Sanditon exposes the dandies for what they truly were: part innovators, part fashion victims.

All of these examples aren’t really meant to convince you that Sanditon is 100% true to history (it’s not) or even that it’s more accurate than other Austen adaptation.

Rather what I hope you take away from this is that Austen adaptations in general are not a play by play documentary on the regency period but rather fantasy, Disney versions of 19th century England. Sanditon challenging that image is not actually a bad thing or inherently less accurate than any other adaptation out there.

Why tho??? If you’re not watching the show, not basing them on the actual characters, aren’t you just using a popular ship for clout and readers? There are plenty of fandoms for fujoshi writers like you that quite obviously writes with a lot of self projection and indulging in typical white woman in her 20’s writing about gays stereotypes fantasy. It feels quite ridicoulos, making them into whole different persons with no base in canon at all, that’s not an AU, that is just lazy.

Because i still like creek.

I’m not doing this for clout. I’m doing this because I like doing this and I want to finish a story I was writing while I was watching the show because I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I just gave up!

I’m basing them on actual characters, but are you really going to write aged up characters the same way you’d write them when they were ten?

No.

If the character you want to write is say 25, you won’t think to yourself ��okay so they’re ten on the show, so they must act the same as their character” because then you don’t have a twenty five year old.

I don’t self project honestly. I hate wearing skirts. I’m not in tune to fashion like Tweek is. Sure I love designer things, but I don’t know what the different between Givenchy and Versace is.

If you’re talking about the weight thing, sure. I have a lot of issues with my weight and self image, but don’t a lot of people?? Sometimes it’s therapeutic to write about things you face in real life because in a way, it’s your inner voice telling you what you deserve to hear.

There is base in canon. Tweek has anxiety and adhd. Craig is kind of a dick and sticks to the same routine every day because it’s ‘just how he likes it’ and ‘boring’

Just because I don’t write them EXACTLY as their canon characters doesn’t mean I’m lazy.

Also AU literally means “alternate universe”.

It’s literally the characters in another world for a lack of better words.

Yes this version of Tweek and Craig are very different from canon, but it’s how I picture them in THIS UNIVERSE based off of headcanons I have for when they’re older.

I’ll take a shot! Craig has a tendency to film the movies like in the superhero episode and way back in the ratings episode. And he came up with spaceman craig and stripes sidekick backstory in fbw! Tweek is more the common sense type than logical I think. He’s always pointing out things others should care about like the snowman or North Korea. That’s all I got tho.

Oh, my God! I was totally going to bring up the movie things and I totally forgot! Thank you so much for bringing it up on my behalf, Anon! Yes, you’re absolutely right! He obviously knows his way around film equipment in S21E04 Franchise Prequel. He’s got the tripod. He’s got the cables. He’s got the camera. But most of all, he’s got the confidence. He looks like he knows what he’s doing with it all.

This isn’t just a recent thing for our boy, either. All the way back in S08E11 Quest For Ratings, he single-handedly came up with not one, but two popular ideas for a school televised broadcast that he, alone, filmed, directed, and edited: Animals Close-Up With a Wide-Angle Lens & Animals Close-Up With a Wide-Angle Lens Wearing Hats. It totally blew other shows out of the water. And it was super cute!

I can’t believe I forgot to say this, because yes, this makes me feel like Craig can totally become big in cinema or television. Whether it be as a writer, or a director, or an editor, or whatever! The notion of him writing for TV or film is strengthened by your other suggestion, Anon, ‘cause you’re right again. He came up with that fucking character, Spaceman Craig. Granted, like Super Craig, he still seems to be suffering from UNS (Unimaginative Name Syndrome). And there wasn’t really so much a backstory as him just being, um… C-Craig, in a… in a space… suit…

Still! It was a character! And I guess Super Craig was, too. He was able to play-act pretty well as Super Craig, in fact. Just watch that scene where the lava has blocked him off during the infiltration of Professor Chaos’ lair. I mean, his lines!!!

“Sorry, Coon, but it looks like this was a one-way trip.” I mean, that right there is such a cliche Hollywood line! Catch this kiddo bringing out the next blockbuster!

“I’m starting to remember things in my past… Things I regret. People I wish I’d been kinder to.” This, here, is truly an emotional scene for the character Super Craig, a pivotal juncture in his arc, and he captures it so well. My soul is stirred. And though I can’t remember or find Stripe’s backstory you’re talking about, he gets bonus points anyway for being so darned cute with his guinea pig! Bless!!!

I also like your thought that “common sense” might be a better fit for Tweek than “logical.” Because, yeah. Though he can exaggerate things or he just expresses them in a stressed fashion which may make people feel less inclined to take him seriously, Tweek’s points are often pretty valid, and well, pretty duh. I mean, like, when two meatheads with too much power are flexing on Twitter, of course he is worried. That’s the normal response, isn’t it? Just because the rest of the world is kind of desensitised to world issues in comparison (as evidenced in S22E01 Dead Kids), it makes him seem illogical or irrational. But when North Korea flies a nuclear missile over his house, no, Craig, I don’t think your boyfriend wants to go to the fucking amusement park! Yeah, Tweek freaks out a lot in this episode, shrieking and screaming day and night, but it’s not nonsensical. There is sense.

That may be all you got, Anon, but it ain’t half bad! Thank you for your thoughts!

Kenny Headcanons

Since it’s Kenny’s birthday, I figured now would be as good a time as any to post some headcanons I have about him.

- Kenny has issues with financial security, so throughout middle school and high school he works three to four semi-steady sort of jobs and takes on a number of by-contract type of jobs. The semi-steady jobs are: waiter/busboy at City Wok, newspaper delivery, farmhand at Farmer Bill’s, and seasonal work picking fruit/veggies at local orchards/farms. The by-contract jobs can range from fake dating to fixing bikes to landscaping, and Kenny develops a wide and diverse skill set.

- He saves up at least half of every paycheck he gets and rotates between three separate funds: Karen’s college fund, the apartment/house fund, and his own college fund.

- Throughout college (and the rest of his life), Kenny is constantly diversifying his income sources. They range from ordinary jobs to online ventures to babysitting to stocks to eventually opening several of his own businesses (each in a different niche). He does a lot of freelance writing and journalism, and becomes pretty good with a camera in order to increase his profitability.

- Kenny spends a LOT of time on teach-yourself type websites. He watches a shit-ton of tutorials on YouTube and the like, reads every how-to book he can get his hands, and learns from observation when he can.

(Putting the rest under a read more because there are A LOT.)

- He has Dissociative Identity Disorder, and goes between three distinct main alters: there’s Kenny, Mysterion, and Princess. Normally Kenny’s the host and therefore the one fronting most of the time, with Mysterion taking over from time to time---particularly when they’re confronted with any sort of danger. Princess rarely takes control, and it’s unclear what sort of circumstances trigger her. She’s most likely to take over around Karen, though. He doesn’t have any blackout amnesia issues when he switches with Mysterion or Princess, but the memories they acquire take on a sort of third-person POV feel, kind of like Kenny’s watching them instead of physically being part of them.

- Going off that, Kenny’s system, while small, is very fluid. He’s aware of his main alters (there are a handful of lesser developed alters he’s unaware of that hold particularly traumatizing memories but they virtually never front) and most of his switches are planned. However, both Mysterion and Princess are capable of keeping certain memories from him if they deem it necessary.

- Mysterion is built largely out of Kenny’s heroic tendencies and sense of justice. He’s probably the most serious of the three, and holds the lion’s share of Kenny’s leadership skills. Princess has most of Kenny’s cunning and manipulative behaviors. If Kenny decides to use less-than-moral methods to achieve his goals, it’s highly likely that Princess will be the one to handle those situations. In a lot of ways, she’s Mysterion’s opposite. However, she also takes on a lot of Kenny’s more nurturing and empathetic feelings.

- They are all fucking reckless as hell, but in different ways. Kenny’s reckless in that he places absolutely no value on his own life. Considering he comes back every time he dies, Kenny is willing to try a lot of dangerous stuff ranging from stupid stunts to drugs and beyond. Mysterion is constantly on his case about it, considering he was formed initially as a protector identity. Unlike Kenny, Mysterion’s recklessness is calculated: since he’s aware that death isn’t final for them, he’s willing to put himself into more danger than others and uses it to his advantage in combat. Princess’ reckless tendencies come from her empathy; she’s way more willing to take chances and risks emotionally than either Kenny or Mysterion. Anytime Kenny makes progress in his interpersonal relationships, that’s a result of her influence.

- Due to the separation between himself and his alters, Kenny doesn’t really view himself in a very positive light. In his mind, Mysterion’s the brave hero who’s done so much for the town and Princess is the intelligent, confident, caring one. He sees himself more as a bad influence and perpetual screw-up.

- Kenny and Princess are both pansexual, but Mysterion is straight. Kenny’s demiromantic and both Princess and Mysterion are aromantic. It kind of makes relationships a bit of a challenge, especially when Kenny develops a romantic attraction to another guy.

- Fucking loves 80s remixes of pop songs. His favorite is the one with Alejandro by Lady Gaga. Aside from that, Kenny’s taste in music is very eclectic.

- His fashion sense is both fucking amazing and semi-questionable at times. You can actually kind of tell who’s more in control on a particular day based on how Kenny’s dressed. If it’s a more masculine sort of outfit, that’s Mysterion; more feminine, that’s Princess; a weird mix of both, that’s Kenny. The kid will wear fishnets under ripped jeans and a croptop when left to his own devices.

- Kenny lets his hair grow out to about his collarbones. Mysterion can just put it into a ponytail and Princess is quite fond of parting it into a set of cute bushy pigtails.

- While Kenny engages in a few pseudo-relationships and some not-so-safe sex throughout his teen years, he eventually develops feelings for Butters and falls hard for him. Even though he doesn’t really know about the whole DID and alters thing, Butters is really good at picking up on the subtleties of Kenny’s switches.

- He is severely nihilistic. The constant dying-and-reviving thing has really warped his perception and value of the world.

- Kenny has a weakness for cute things. It has nothing to do with Princess, he just loves cute stuff. The kid would have eighty-seven of those phone charms shaped like food with the cute smiling faces on them if he had the money.

- He was conceived in that ritual the Cult of Cthulhu got his parents into, and he’s supposed to be a sort of portal through which Cthulhu can properly enter the mortal realm. (Kind of in the same vein as the whole Raven/Trigon thing in Teen Titans.) This would actually permanently kill Kenny. It’s supposed to come to fruition on Kenny’s 18th birthday.

- Kenny has violet eyes as a result of Cthulhu’s interference. His eyes glow a bit in the dark and when he’s feeling intense emotion.

-Kenny has the potential to go full-on Eldritch Abomination if he’s pushed far enough.

- Despite his poor self-image, Kenny still has a firm moral compass and desire to do good. He will willingly sacrifice himself to save his friends without any influence from Mysterion. He’s very protective of the people he cares about, and places far greater value in their lives and continued survival than he does in his own. (This will continue even after the curse is broken.)

- He grows up to have a facial structure very similar to his father’s. Kenny shaves religiously in order to avoid any further resemblance to the man. (Which is kind of a shame, since he personally thinks he’d look good with a beard. But he can’t get past the strong resemblance, so no beards for him.)

- Kenny would love to be a housewife. However, an entire childhood of abject poverty has left him with a lot of mental blocks preventing him from enjoying that kind of life. Kenny needs to be bringing in a certain amount of income or he starts to get anxious.

- He loves to sing. He’ll sing pretty much anything, but only when he’s alone. People have caught him humming to himself in public, though. He has a great voice, and come middle school it becomes the music teacher’s mission to get Kenny into the choir. His range is enviable and his lung capacity is the stuff of legends.

- Kenny doesn’t play any sports in school due to the expense, but he joins a few intramural teams where the cost is much less. He really likes soccer. He also learns archery, and gets inspired by Lars Andersen, so he gets really fucking good at more medieval style archery.

- The boy never gets past 5’6’’. He doesn’t eat nearly enough or nearly well enough to gain much in the way of height. While he’s not the shortest guy in school (that would Kevin Stoley), he’s dwarfed by most of his friends. It’s a point of contention with him, and he hates when people point it out.

- Kenny and Kevin were very close when they were little, even sharing a room, but when Kenny started to die on a regular basis, Kenny was put in his own room and the two had a falling out when Kevin couldn’t remember any of his deaths. When he gets a bit older, Kenny regrets the fight and wishes he could be that close to his brother again, but instead tries to emulate that relationship with Karen.

- Kenny’s closest to his mother, and she’s his preferred parent. She’d be his go-to parent if he felt he could rely on his parents for decent advice or help. He loves her very much and wants to get her out of poverty, too. The fact that there’s not all that much he can really do to help her is a bit of a sore spot, which feeds into why he’s so focused on taking care of Karen.

- His likelihood of being killed skyrockets on his birthday. As a result, Kenny has never had a birthday party by any stretch of the phrase, he’s never received a single birthday present (although most people swear they gave him one), and he’s grown to kind of hate his birthday. He’s taken to hiding out in his room if he can manage it, but that’s not always successful.

- Kenny goes through a severe nihilistic phase in middle school (around sixth grade, actually) where he doesn’t even bother to try. He ends up borderline-failing everything and starts smoking and hanging out with the goths in order to bitch about how much life sucks. (Butters ends up getting sick of it around April of that school year and essentially manhandles Kenny back into giving a shit about school and life in general.)

- As he gets older, Kenny’s friendships start to shift. He hangs out with Stan and Kyle less and starts hanging out with Craig, Tweek, Bebe, and Red more often. (Ironically all four are the only ‘out’ kids in their class.) He drops Cartman altogether.

- Kenny and Red end up fake dating for nearly a year in order to get Red’s dad off her back. (He doesn’t take her coming out as a lesbian very well, and it’s either pretend to be straight with Kenny or try to dodge her dad’s underhanded efforts to ‘straighten her up’.) This is what spawns the whole ‘fake dating’ business Kenny ends up running throughout high school. He even starts to plan switches with Princess in order to help the guys out, too.

- Kenny has seriously considered applying to Raisins.

Summary: The girls discover that Charlotte has never experienced being at the beach with just friends, and decide to remedy that.

Prompt: Beach - If there’s anything media has taught me, it’s that a beach episode is inevitable. Ironically, I don’t think there’s been a South Park beach episode. Let’s change that. The beach can evoke a lot of experiences that your muses are sure to treasure. Shell hunting, long walks a la romantic stereotypes, sandcastles, boating, surfing, and the list goes on- whatever you choose, there’s sure to be something to do in a setting so iconic as this!

“You whaaaaat?!”

Charlotte Harrison - formerly Schulz - fidgeted uncomfortably, feeling the shocked stares of all the girls on her. Well, most of the girls, anyway - Nichole was looking just as uncomfortable as her, as if she knew something she didn’t, while Red had her head in her hands. “Um, I’ve never... gone to the beach with friends before, guy.”

“You can’t be serious. Tell me you’re not serious,” Heidi looked desperate. “You’re joking, right?”

“She isn’t,” Sally Turner - or Powder, as she was so affectionately called, to tell her apart from Sally Darson - informed her sister cheerfully.

Heidi gave her sister a look. “It was a rhetorical question.”

“Why haven’t you gone to the beach with just friends, Charlotte?” Lola asked politely, lacing her fingers together. “Not to be rude or anything, but I know you. We all know you. You’re one of the friendliest, most boisterous people we know. Surely you had friends to go with in Canada?”

Charlotte nodded slightly. “Lani and Rinka. They were always with me when we, um... first moved to South Park and transferred to South Park Elementary.”

“Which one was the one that looked like Alanis Morissette?” Jenny Simon asked, curious.

The brunette Canadian blinked, and laughed. “You must be talking about Lani. She’s been asked about it ever since we temporarily moved to South Park.”

“Well, to be fair she does look like her,” Milly pointed out. “Like, have you seen Alanis Morissette’s music video for Ironic? They’re literally wearing the same outfit.”

“Lani threw a fit when she found out, buddy,” Charlotte smiled before sighing. “Anyway... I did have friends, but we were always supervised by a parent back then. Usually my dad, but sometimes my mom.”

A short moment of silence passed between all of them - an unspoken condolence for Charlotte’s Canadian parents, who were now in a better place. After a few minutes, however, the topic was resumed.

“So you’ve gone to the beach before, but never with friends and unsupervised?” The look in Wendy’s eyes was unreadable - it made Charlotte unsettled just looking at the overall leader of the girls, so she averted her gaze as she nodded. Wendy’s lips pursed in thought, and the majority of the girls looked at her, awaiting her final decision.

“That settles it, girls. We’re going to have a beach party.”

Red groaned and sank lower into her seat. “I fucking knew it. They pulled this on me years ago, and on Nichole some time ago, and now they’re doing it to you.”

“A beach party?” Charlotte eyed Wendy with interest. That didn’t seem too bad. “Sounds like fun, guy. Whose parent is supervising?”

Bebe laughed. “Supervision? Oh, honey, you have much to learn. We don’t do parental supervision.”

“Well, we do,” Nichole amended at the horrified look on Charlotte’s face. “But, um... just this once again, I guess... we could go without parental supervision. Just so you can experience it, right? A beach outing with just friends. We all got to experience zero parental supervision at least once - it’s only fair you do too. You don’t have to go to another unsupervised event ever if you really don’t like it after this one.”

“How are we going to-”

“Bebe can drive us,” Jenny said decisively.

“When are we going to-”

“Next week, probably?” Milly checked the calendar before nodding. “Yup, next week Wednesday, two days after the next list making session. We have time to squeeze this in.”

“But-” Charlotte looked helpless. “Aw, fiddlehumpers, guy.”

“This’ll be fun, I promise!” Annie reassured, smiling sweetly at the brunette. “We always have beach parties without supervision from parents and honestly it couldn’t be a much safer environment!”

“Mainly because we have mother dearest over here,” Nelly jerked a thumb at Nichole, who only rolled her eyes ever so slightly, smiling before nodding. “She won’t let us have the good stuff. She’s just like her dumb boyfriend.”

“Her hot and rich boyfriend,” Wendy and Red both corrected almost instantaneously before both of them looked at each other and shrugged. Nichole snickered just a little at their simultaneous correction.

“I’m not sure my parents will let me go without an adult to supervise though, friend...” Charlotte attempted uncertainly.

The girls looked at each other before Wendy waved her hand. “I can ask Shelly to watch us. She’s an adult now, and she can just sleep on the beach while we have fun. She won’t give a single damn.”

“She’d do that, guy?”

“Girl solidarity,” Wendy winked. “I’ll talk to her. She’ll listen to me - I’m practically the Marshs’ second daughter by this point.”

“Was this before or after you broke up with Stan for the zillionth time?” Sally Darson asked coyly before immediately ducking as Wendy’s beret was chucked in her direction.

“Going somewhere?”

“Yeah,” Charlotte grunted, trying to sit on her suitcase to fit in everything she was going to bring. “Girls’ day out, guy.”

Gary raised an eyebrow. “Where are you going to go in temperatures like these?”

“Beach,” was the Canadian’s only reply before she yelled and body slammed the suitcase shut, zipping it up to keep the contents from tumbling out. She breathed a sigh of relief before standing up to face her adoptive brother again. “Wait a minute, didn’t I already tell you I was going to the beach with the girls, Gary?”

Gary nodded slightly. “You vaguely mentioned it over dinner while asking permission from Mom and Dad. I just wanted to make sure since the guys are having a boys’ day out as well.”

“The guys?”

“Stan’s gang and Craig’s gang,” Gary clarified. “Along with a few others. Thomas invited me along, but nobody’s going to be watching the little ones while they’re out and Kyle really doesn’t trust Ike alone with his crew anymore after everyone somehow managed to drop off everyone in their age group alone with Tweek to do gosh-knows-what.”

Charlotte donned her sunhat. “Babysitting duty, guy? Knew you were a big softie.”

“We’ve established this already, I think,” Gary laughed before reminding her, “Anyway. You’ll be at the beach with just the girls and Stan’s big sister, but that doesn’t mean you can goof around willy nilly.”

“No drinking, no drugs, no streaking, gotcha,” were Charlotte’s words before she turned around and screamed in frustration. Gary peered around her to see what had caused her to yell.

She had forgotten to pack her swimsuit in.

“Oh, nuh-uh are you going out in that,” Bebe immediately declared the moment Charlotte stepped out of the dressing room.

Charlotte looked down at her swimsuit. It was her favorite backless fuchsia one piece with a blue stripe going around the stomach area and a pretty skirt as coverup. “... What’s wrong with it, buddy?”

“It’s so... old fashioned, hun,” Bebe immediately turned around to fish in her suitcase before thrusting something at Charlotte. “Here, try these. We should be around the same size save for the chest area, but this’ll fit all chest sizes.”

Charlotte glanced down at what she had given her, and visibly balked. “This isn’t a swimsuit.”

“It’s high fashion in Paris, Char,” Bebe waved her hand as if to dismiss the whole thing.

The Canadian lifted up the clothing on the hanger - if it could even be considered clothing. “Bebe, this barely covers my... my everything!”

“Why would you hide your everything? You’re beautiful, dear.”

“This is a beach, not a fashion show, guy!”

“Well, I’m certainly not letting you go out in that,” Bebe sniffed in distaste at Charlotte’s one piece swimsuit.

Charlotte curled her lip before shaking the hanger. “Well, I’m not going out in this.”

“A compromise, ladies?” The two girls turned to see Nichole, who pulled out another swimsuit. It was also technically a bikini, which made Charlotte look displeased, but it certainly covered up more than the one Bebe had thrown at her. It was a dark blue, which was unusual given that Nichole preferred her pinks and yellows, but it certainly screamed ‘Nichole’, what with both the straps and the underwear being lined with lighter blue frills.

Bebe crossed her arms. “Well, it’s... decent.”

“Bebe, you have no right to say that when you told me this was perfect for me around a month or so ago.”

“Perfect for you,” Bebe reaffirmed. “Not for Charlotte. Honestly, I really should’ve taken her out shopping the day we arranged this whole thing.”

“I’m right here, you know,” Charlotte reminded.

“Bebe, it’s just a swimsuit. It’s just one day.”

“And we gotta make it worth it, Nichole.”

“And sacrifice her own comfortableness for fashion?”

“We all do it once in our lives-”

“OKAY, WHAT’S GOIN’ ON HERE?!”

The three girls in the dressing room all turned as Red kicked the door open, a donut designed floatie around her waist and goggles on her face. Behind her, Annie timidly waved at all of them as Red demanded, “You guys have been in here for literally an hour, what the hell?”

“Charlotte won’t wear the bikini I’m generously lending her,” Bebe explained with a huff.

Nichole frowned. “She’s not comfortable with it, so I suggested one of my own.”

“But it’s only good on Nichole, you see? The one I’m lending Charlotte fits all, and will definitely fit her.”

“How will we know if we won’t even let her try both?”

“She is not going out in that-”

“She already left,” Red deadpanned.

Bebe and Nichole looked around wildly, seeing that Red was, indeed, correct - Charlotte had disappeared from the dressing room, both the swimsuits they had suggested to her neatly folded on the nearest table. With a sigh, both girls put their respective swimsuits into their own bags before taking leave with Red and Annie as well.

“You look great, Char,” Wendy praised before shooting a look at Bebe, who only rolled her eyes before continuing to sun herself.

Charlotte’s cheeks tinted a little pink as she drew her knees up to her chin. Both girls were currently under the shade of a beach umbrella as the other girls played volleyball and swam in the ocean. Bebe and Heidi were both sunning themselves nearby, while Powder was busy constructing a rather grand sand castle, complete with a moat and toy crocodiles - which she had brought along just for the occasion.

“Thanks, Wendy, that’s real nice of you to say,” She murmured, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. “... I know Nichole and Bebe only meant the best, guy, but...”

Wendy laughed. “I know. Bebe’s pretty intense, but she really does do mostly everything out of concern - well, except for that one incident with a list...” Wendy frowned and looked off into the distance for a while, her gaze growing wistful before she turned back to Charlotte. “And Nichole was only trying to help both of you.”

The Canadian girl smiled. “It’s really nice to be here... even without adult supervision. I never knew how fun it could be to be able to curse on the beach with just friends around.”

“Don’t get used to it like Red did, or you’ll end up cursing during family outings too,” Wendy warned before both girls laughed.

“AY! WHAT ARE YOU DOIN’ HERE?!”

Wendy’s pupils immediately shrank. “Oh no, what’s he doing here?”

“Oh no...” Charlotte palmed her face. “Gary told me the boys were going somewhere, but he didn’t say they were going to the beach too...!”

As the girls all stopped in what they were doing to gaze in the direction of where the voice had come from, they witnessed a gaggle of very familiar boys approaching, all decked out in swimwear as well. Stan’s gang was in the lead while Craig’s gang took up the rear, and all the other boys who weren’t in any particular group filled out the middle.

“Shelly?!” Stan yelped at the sight of his older sister, who only lowered her sunglasses at the sight of her younger brother. “I thought- you said you were in Minnesota!”

Shelly grunted. “I lied.”

“Bebe!” Clyde greeted, waving wildly at his girlfriend and running towards her, only to trip face first in the sand as his foot connected with a shell. The blonde immediately ran to his side as Token and Nichole had their own much more quiet reunion, smiling tenderly at each other as Clyde reassured Bebe that he was a big boy, no shell would take him down just like that.

“W-what are you guys - FUCK! - doing here?” Thomas asked, holding the cooler full of drinks from Token’s house. Next to him, Kevin Stoley was carrying an assortment of pool floaties.

Red’s gaze flickered over both boys before looking away guiltily as Heidi explained, pecking Cartman’s cheek in greeting. “Charlotte’s never been on an outing without parental supervision, so we thought we’d take her on a girls’ day out.”

“Huh,” Kyle mused.

“What’s wrong, Kyle?” Annie asked, curious.

“It’s funny, because that’s almost exactly why we’re out here too,” Kyle turned his head a little to look at someone near the back. “It’s David’s first time out without parental supervision too.”

The girls all looked at each other, the gears in their head turning quickly. It was Wendy, however, who spoke for all of them when she asked, “So both Charlotte and David have never been out with just friends on an outing?”

Kenny nodded. “If he’s not lying, then yeah. Say, where is Charlotte?”

“Charlotte’s here?!” A voice from the back yelped, and immediately at least half of the boys yelled and dogpiled someone, startling the girls into backing away.

“Oh no, David, you are not leaving now, we just got here!” Kyle yelled, thumping on the other boy’s back.

“I agreed to this because I thought we were the only ones that we knew here!” David yelled, struggling under all of the other boys. “You didn’t tell me Charlotte was going to be here!”

“What’s wrong with Char bein’ here?” Butters asked, a smidgen offended on behalf of his ex-girlfriend. “She’s a real sweet gal! I thought you two were buddies!”

At Butters’s words, the tips of David’s ears turned red, and then and there, the girls all ‘ooh’ed in realization, smirking. “Yeah... we’re buddies...”

“Holy shit,” Cartman wheezed, seeing his red ears. “You- do you like Charlotte, Day-vid?!’

“It’s Dah-veed, and of course I do, she’s one of my best friends!” David defended, eventually managing to succeed in pushing Kenny and Kyle off of him. His ears were still red as he sat up, however.

“He meant ‘like-like’, silly!” Powder corrected, pushing through the boys to crouch in front of David. “So, do you like-like Charlotte? Be honest!”

“I’m not telling you anything,” David replied petulantly.

Before Powder could pull off one of her signature pouts, Kyle blocked the way, requesting, “Look, if he doesn’t want to say anything, he doesn’t have to. Leave him alone and let’s just have fun, guys.”

“Can we join the girls then?!” Clyde asked excitedly, jumping up and down. “Please, please, please, please, pleaaaaaase?!”

“Just don’t get yourself killed,” Craig sighed, taking hold of Tweek's hand. "C'mon, Tweek. Let's go build a sandcastle."

An hour or so later, the beach soon had both the boys and the girls running around, laughing and playing around. Bebe had gone back to sunning herself, but this time she was near Clyde, who was busy burying himself in the sand next to her. Nichole and Token had, unsurprisingly, taken up the equivalent of parental supervision, seeing as that Shelly had immediately gone back to sleep under her own beach umbrella, undisturbed.

David, on his part, was sitting morosely by the water, watching as the ocean’s gray waves lapped at his feet every now and then, Every now and then a small hermit crab would pass by him and look up at him before scuttling away, and he’d only sigh and look past the water into the horizon.

He wanted to have fun like the rest of them, he really did. But he hadn’t expected having the girls around. A day out was just... different with girls around. Well, he amended to himself, not so much different-different, more like it felt different. Just a little. He prided himself on being friends with a lot of people, the girls included, but honestly? He felt pretty naked around the girls right now, being completely unprepared for the possibility of them being on the beach with them.

And then there was Charlotte.

David groaned, lying down in the sand and closing his eyes. He shouldn’t even be making so much of a fuss about it, really, but Gary had made it extremely clear that while he was against violence, he was not above using David as the next Harrison door mat should he try anything on his adopted sister.

Not my fault Char and I are best mates, David grumbled mentally to himself. Also not my fault that I like her.

“David?”

His heart skipped a beat as a shadow crossed his face. He opened his eyes, and found Charlotte peering down at him curiously. In her hand was a rather large bucket with exactly three very pretty shells in it. “Char.”

“What are you doin’ here all alone, guy?” She asked. “Everyone’s over at the other side of the beach.”

“I just...” He sighed, sitting up. Charlotte backed away and then proceeded to take a seat next to him. “I just wanted some time to think.”

“They told me it was your first time out, buddy,” Charlotte murmured softly, watching as a shell washed itself up by her feet. She picked it up and traced it with a finger as she asked, “Is that true?”

“First time out without parental supervision, yeah,” David admitted. “They... said the same for you too. Is that true?”

“Mhm.”

The two turned to look at the ocean. The waves continued to roll gently as David chuckled, making Charlotte look at him curiously. “Funny how our families landed us in the exact same situations, huh?”

“I dunno, I mean, the others don’t seem to have the same problem, right?” Charlotte pointed out. “Or maybe that’s just because they’re Americans, guy.”

“I mean, I’m Latino-American, but I guess my situation’s just a little different from theirs because my mother would die before letting me out without supervision,” David shrugged. “She’s overprotective like that.”

“How’d you end up getting permission for this one, then?”

“Token was very persuasive,” David admitted. “And he’s also technically older than the majority of us, and also has a driver’s license. I think his responsibility won my mother over.”

Charlotte giggled before looking back towards the water. “So you’ve gone to the beach with family before, then?”

“Family reunion, once, somewhere in Rio de Janeiro, courtesy of an uncle,” David leaned back, supporting himself with his arms.

“So you know how to swim, then?”

“I consider myself quite the swimmer. Why do you ask?”

“Just asking,” Charlotte smiled before standing up. She held out a hand to him and pulled him up before asking, “Want to take a walk?”

“Sure.”

“Has anyone seen Charlotte?” Nichole asked in concern as both the boys and the girls settled down for lunch on the beach. Stan had gone off to wake up Shelly for lunch as Milly and Tweek began passing out sandwiches to the rest of them.

“David’s missing tuh-t-too,” Jimmy noted. The boy hadn’t been allowed to go to the beach due to his crutches, but, unable to bear with him not going with them, Craig’s gang had brought along a laptop and a router so they could Skype him while on the beach.

“Scandalous,” Jenny Simon giggled before whining as Lola cuffed her ear. “Owww, Lola, what was that for?”

“You’re the only one implying something lewd here, Jenny, stop that,” Lola told her sternly.

Kyle sighed. “Still. They’ve been gone for a while now. I know David went to sit somewhere on the other side of the beach alone but that’s it.”

“Charlotte was wandering around looking for pretty shells last I remember,” Esther recalled. “Maybe she ran across him and they took a walk.”

“To where? The only other interesting parts around here is the short walk back to civilization,” Milly pointed out.

Tweek took a sip from his apple juice. “W-well, that, and the rumored c-cave.”

“What cave?” Craig asked him curiously.

The blond pulled out his phone and Googled something before showing everyone. “I-It’s said that if you take a dive s-somewhere nearby you’ll find an underground entrance t-to a cave nearby, b-but so far nobody’s really found it, so they say it’s urban legend.”

“Maybe they went diving,” Clyde suggested despite the three sandwiches in his mouth.

It would be hours later, when the sun was setting, when both Charlotte and David made their way back to the group, and by that point, all of them were just about ready to call the police about their disappearance. At the sight of Charlotte, Butters shrieked and knocked her over with the force of his hug, while Kyle nearly decked David after checking to see if he was real by patting his face and shoulders.

“Where have you two been?!” Nichole’s voice rose an octave before she cleared her throat. Her voice was still up there as she asked, “We’ve been worried for hours!”

“Sorry, guy,” Charlotte’s cheeks tinted pink - something that made Jenny cackle before Lola kicked her in the shin. “We lost track of time, I guess.”

“You guys will not believe what we found while diving,” David tried to remedy. He nudged Charlotte, who let out a small ‘oh!’ before showing everyone else her bucket. When they peered in, they saw-

“Holy fucking shit,” Token swore loudly, making everyone look at him in surprise as he pulled out one of the stones in Charlotte’s bucket. “Charlotte, where did you guys find these?”

Charlotte’s face colored a little more as she smiled. “David was teaching me how to dive when he found this really neat path to a cave underwater, and when I finally learned how he led me to it, and we found these. Pretty, right, guy?”

“These are all different kinds of quartz,” Token identified. “This one in particular looks like a rose quartz. You stumbled upon quite the treasure trove, you two.”

David and Charlotte looked at each other, grinning from ear to ear, before Wendy asked, “Did you two break off these pieces from the cave you were in?”

“Oh, no!” David shook his head. “We just picked up the ones that were already broken off pieces. It was too pretty to destroy.”

“That’s good,” Wendy nodded in approval.

“Looks like it’s getting dark soon. We should all head back,” Shelly reminded. The younger kids all groaned, but they did begin the trek back to civilization, where their respective rides awaited.

“Did you have fun today, my dear?” Mrs. Harrison asked, tucking in her second oldest daughter.

Charlotte smiled. “Mhm. It was real fun today, buddy.”

“Well, I’m glad you had fun. I told your father it would be a good learning and adjustment experience for you here, and I’m just so pleased that he let you go,” Pressing a kiss to her temple, Mrs. Harrison turned off the lights before saying, “Good night, Charlotte, dear. I’ll be tucking in your brothers and sisters now.”

“Okay, Mom,” Charlotte smiled as her mother shut the door.

Her phone buzzed just then, and, curious, Charlotte sat up and picked it up from her dresser, opening it to see who messaged.

It helps you to understand the changes you are making both physically and emotionally. Although I am also going to Weight Watchers, I credit this book mostly for my weight loss, as it has helped me to tweek their program. I never could have been as successful as I've been without this book. Most importantly, you are not going to starve while you are losing weight. You are not going to deprive yourself, but you will learn how to get control and stay in control. The amazing thing about weight loss is that what you have to push yourself to do at the start, like tracking everything (with smartphone apps, not difficult or time consuming), becomes things you want to do because you want the benefits it rewards you with. lots of good tips, but I can do without the calorie-counting I think the best part about this book is how it stresses that in order for any "diet" or new eating plan to be successful long-term, it has to be enjoyable, it has to be sustainable. Anyone can suffer for 6 months and lose a lot of weight, only to gain it all back when the program they chose just isn't sustainable anymore. Willpower runs out when suffering is involved, that's just a fact of life. The same goes for exercise. The most sensible diet book I've ever read! I am 81 years old and have been dieting on and off since I was 12. I studied nutrition in high school and again in Nursing School. At one time I also took courses in nutrition from the County Extension Service in Massachusetts. I bought this book for my Kindle on Sunday and read it from cover to cover, finishing it this morning. I have never been obese, but always 10 or 20 pounds overweight. I've just lost 10 pounds using "My Fitness Pal" on my I Phone. Between that free app and this book, I think I will never be overweight again! This is the most sensible, realistic, and down to earth dieting book I have ever read, and I have probably read a zillion of them. I usually get them at the public library, but I actually purchased this one at Amazon because it sounded so intriguing. It was worth every penny! I meant to do this on the first, but then got lazy and didn't, lol. New year means new design pictures, whether I need to do them or not. And since I decided I was going to do the Cataclysm sequel, Division, this year, I figure I'd put up the designs I did for them!

(I mean, maybe I'll do Division. I mean, my muse was on The Gatekeeper for a bit and I realized 2023 is its twentieth anniversary, so that's a contender? Possibly?)

I had fun doing the Earthia designs last year, so I thought it'd be cool to do Division's in the same sort of style. I also realized that a lot of people, when doing design pictures, put people in the same pose for all the outfits, so I realized I could do the same and save myself some trouble of coming up with a million poses. (Just a lot, because I have a lot of characters. >.<) Granted, Nova's gets switched up for each one, but eh. She's the protagonist. She's allowed.

Nova's outfit is based off on that I own. I was struggling to come up with something for her that was cute and all, and I realizing I had something in my on closet that suited her great! The boots are a combination of me wearing boots a lot and her probably trying to match her boyfriend? Maybe? The other two are just tweeked versions of her superhero outfit - she gets a new shirt as Swift Star and starts wearing her hair in a braid as Cosmic Star since she discovers the long hair actually gets in the way. How she managed it before, she has no idea.

Swift Star ended up matching Cosmic Moon a bit more than I intended, but I like that, actually.

Luna's shirt I am in love with. I just randomly searched through Amazon fashion until I found it, and...yeah. I really like how she turned out! Kinda nerdy chic with the glasses there. Which works out perfectly for her. Cosmic Moon is the same as always. I gave Luna the gun in her design just to show that she creates other weapons other than just the sword, and I think it turned out nicely.

I definitely think Luna has the better design than Nova does, lol. But I also know I'll probably change these in some fashion (maybe not Luna) before I actually use them, since that, unfortunately, is how I roll. (Most likely, I'll switch their outfits? Possibly?)

More coming soon, since I was heavily inspired. :D

This is – mostly – just a muse indulgence. After reading @callistochan87’s first chapter of her new Celestial Souls version, my muse was mad. Mad because it was so much better, more interesting, and more realistic than my opening chapter. ‘Hey,’ it said, ‘you know what would be great? If we stole her ideas and tweeked them a little so no one realizes we stole them!’ But, ya know, it’s fairly obvious that I did?

But then again, Celestial Souls and Earthia are completely different stories, so it’s like that ‘I’ll let you copy my homework but make it different’ meme going around. ;P

But the biggest problem is that I like the differences I came up with while thinking about a new version, so…. Not to mention, I like the designs. *sigh* I guess 2021 is going to be another Earthia rewrite year. ;P

In any case, the idea of redoing the designs smacked me hard enough to actually do them, although, for the most part, I didn’t change much other than outfits and maybe tweeked colors.

Obviously, Kai gets the actual change. I like her with short hair, don’t get me wrong – I just wanted to go back to the long hair, and given the fact that she’s a hybrid, naturally her hair behaves and she never struggles with it. ;P That’s how you can tell when my characters Aren’t Human – their hair behaves. I also wanted to give her more brown-ish hair, so she won’t stand out too much. I like how she turned out. And the long wavy hair has nothing to do with Chris having longer wavy hair. ;P

Gabby gets a pretty dress, because I liked the design, and somehow it really works on her. Really works. I like it a lot. The thing that changes about Gabby, though, is that her aunt doesn’t really change her name, so she’s still Issadora Acadia on Earth, but she does by her middle name because she thinks Issadora is a weird name.

Mickel…yeah. Just an outfit change. *shrug*

Dylan looks slightly darker, but that’s because I matched his hair to his skin tone better, and I like it a lot more. Her and Kai are the main reasons I wanted to do this, because I got the idea of Dylan wearing something more ‘Helian’ in nature, like the fashions sort of mix between cultures sort of thing. He looks pretty damn good in it, actually, and I like a lot. He doesn’t have his poofy pants anymore, but I think these look better and make more sense.

Aerona…well, Aerona, I actually changed her hair, because I was like ‘why would she have blond hair’? Sure, her species have such a wide variety of colors that it would make sense one of them would have blond, but I wanted to give her something different. I had her having violet hair at one point, and it looks good, but thankfully it looks odd enough that I decided to go with a light yellow instead. Close enough to blond to make it work, but just off enough to make her look more alien. (Like she needs something to make her look more alien.) I also like her outfit. ^^;

Dev is just, you know, Dev. Gave him freckles like his sister, and that’s really about it.

Talia’s outfit is sort of the same concept as Dylan’s, where there is some Helian influence. But it’s still got that Greek/Roman influence to it. But the change she gets is that I’m thinking about taking wings away from the Aeolians, and make them just, like, not really special? Like, they’re special on Aethos because they’re just normal people. Sure, that doesn’t make Kai and Dev all that special, except for the fact that they are hybrids. Oh, and I made her slightly darker as well.

The next set of designs is random, I know. The first design is a dress I had designed for Kai for the 3rd book, before I had decided to take them all in a different direction. But I liked it, and I decided to go ahead and ink it and give it to the new Kai for the time being. Just a random, pretty, Aeolian dress.

The other design is more important. One of the reasons I do want to do the rewrite again is because Aerona has a more predominant role in the beginning. Instead of them just meeting her, she’s been coming to Earth the entire time Dr. Llewellyn’s been there, spending two months each summer hanging out with the group. So this is her current human appearance, which, of course, is odd because she’s white, but has the slanted Asian eyes, which are entirely too large. But the group is used to it, so they think nothing of it.

I know the biggest things I’m taking from @callistochan87 right now is having the story take place right after they graduated high school but right before they leave for college, because it annoyed me having them miss so much school and then never graduate high school. This works, because not going to college isn’t as important. So they’re basically aged up, although Kai and Dev, being the oldest of the humans, aren’t quite eighteen at the very beginning.

Kinda nervous about posting these, because I have a feeling @callistochan87 will plot to murder me after I do. ;P

Craig Tucker

Looks:

tall and gangly

has really pretty, thick black hair, but is always wearing his chullo so he always has hat hair lol

light blue/grey-ish eyes

long face, defined jaw

really smooth skin, which is odd since he has no routine what so ever

casual style, lot’s of hoodies and those Adidas pants with the white stripe at the side?

Personality:

he has a resting bitch face, but like, as a personality?

like, when he’s not thinking about anything special or talking about something he cares about, he’ll just sorta tune out and look pissed and/or bored

but he isn’t grumpy or careless

just a little aloof lol

cares a lot about his boyfriend, friends, family and pet(s)

doesn’t always feel confident when showing it tho

dorky, he loves space and his niche shows and likes tidying haha

has the dorkiest laugh and is super embarrassed about it hehe

Friendships:

isn’t that good with people tbh

but he really values his friends, and enjoys spending time with them

will fight for his friends, hands down

is weary around new people, like the the two boy gangs started to hang out a little more, he was the one who took the longest to open up and be chill with it

likes seeing his friends having fun and being passionate, so he always tries to keep up with their interests etc

Ships and relationships:

y’all know it, it’s always creek time around here

I usually see Craig as demiromatic gay

he and Tweek totally have that best friends and lovers type of relationship

like, not too lovey dovey, but sure as hell passionate at times

Craig genuinely have so much fun with his bf man, he just wants to hang out with him all the time

isn’t too creative when it comes to dates and stuff, but he really tries

often gets help from Token and the others when it comes to it

actually doesn’t mind PDA, at least chill PDA like handholding and kisses etc

Token Black

Looks:

pretty tall and broad, but not like, super fit, he’s just naturally like that

around the start of high school he started growing his hair out a little, he keeps it in a short and manageable length

he has very remarkable eyes, dark brown at the edges and they get almost golden by his pupils

handsome, simply put haha

I would describe his style as preppy/casual?

like, he dresses nicely, and likes looking sharp, but he isn’t a snob about it!

I feel like he would look amazing in purple and wear it often!

Personality:

always writing in a little notebook

loud, contagious laughter

big conscience, always tries to do the right thing

while his friends and classmates loves the perks of his wealth, Token himself feels bad about it a lot

he has a tendency to get a little down about the state of world and it’s unfairness

he works with a lot of charities and is a volunteer and both the pet shelter, the homeless shelter and the children ward of the hospital, and he really, genuinely loves doing it

Friendships:

very protective of his friends

because he volunteers a lot, he started running into Stan and Kenny at both the pet shelter and homeless shelter a lot, as Stan is a huge animal rights lover and Kenny genuinely likes helping both people and animals

the three of them start becoming better friends because of this, eventually brining the two groups closer together

he is one of the few people Craig will actually go to for relationship advice etc

which is kinda funny because Token is a casual dater all through High School

nothing wrong with that! and like, he still has great advice and is very good with people in general

very good at making people feel included

the mom friend 100%

comforts Clyde, keeps Jimmy’s antics under control, keeps Tweek from killing Cartman and helps Craig actually communicate dhslkfhb

Family:

has a good relationships with his parents!

but feels like he has to live up to a certain level of expectations at times

his dad is a bit old-fashioned in some senses, but he means well

and both his mom and dad loves him a lot and is super proud of what a wonderful person he is (so am I ilu Token you’re doing amazing sweetie)

first of all, I think Token is bi!

I like Tyde, but my OTP for him is Tokenny!

I just really like the dynamic potential and think they would make each other the best versions of themselves?

Token is great at being suave and charming in general and on first dates that’s casual, but if he already has a crush and/or feelings he is a mess

is pretty scary when he gets pissed

will get into a physical fight

esp if anyone insults his friends

which is why Cartman is terrified of him

Friendships:

his friends makes him feel very lucky and grateful and he tries to make up for it a lot

often bakes as a stress relief, which makes Clyde love him even more lol

is pretty good friends with Kenny

he likes to just hang around people sometimes, doing nothing together, and Kenny enjoys that too, so they often do that

Tweek loves these dudes a lot, but there’s always so much going on yanno

he has a secret talent when it coms to drawing, only Clyde knows (by accident)

always tries to include those who is a bit on the outside

his parents have always taken a lot of advantage of him, let’s be real

I often headcanon them selling out to Harbucks at some point, but they keep running the store

but they have to hire more people and is under more surveillance now, so that saves Tweek a little

he still works there tho

so does Kenny

honestly, Tweek avoids his parents as much as he can, there is a lot of resentment there

he loves Craig’s family tho, and they love him back <3

Ships and relationships:

I also like Twenny tho, but creek is my OTP!

I usually write Tweek as gay, but I’m open to other interpretations

but he likes boys in any scenario to me

often has his hands in Craig’s jacket pockets, or hands onto his arm, just likes being physically near him

Craig likes it too, so

Tweek still struggles with sleeping, but always sleeps amazingly with Craig around :softeyes:

blushes so hard when Craig manages to catch him off guard with compliments and soft stuff

is pretty good at being romantic, and does really sweet stuff for birthdays and anniversaries and stuff!

Jimmy Valmer

Looks:

thick mop of brown hair that’s purposely messy

would never admit it but he spends time every morning making it that way

light brown eyes that turns golden in the sun

had braces for years, so now his teeth are very straight and white and perfect

a few cute freckles on his face

actually pretty tall, but because of his crutches he slouches a bit so it doesn’t always show

Personality:

has the best one-liners

living legend for having the record for both the best grades and highest number of detentions at once

can’t shut up in class

sarcastic lil’ shit

sometimes speaks before he thinks but never means harm

good at seeing when he’s out of line and has no problem apologizing!

on the fist day on freshman year the current quarterback (a huge senior) was being horrible to Butters so Jimmy simply smashed the guys toes with his crutch

Friendships:

often takes on a comic relief role in groups

him and Clyde have big “brooo” energy

he is the best wingman

very supportive of his friends, no matter their interest, he always tries to lear about it so he can be there for them and cheer them on!

Jimmy and Stan bond over their interest in writing in an English class Freshman year

whenever Stan has a bad day or week, Jimmy or Kyle is always the first two people to notice and do something because of that

Family:

has a pretty superficial relationship with his parents

nothing really bad in that sense, but it ain’t that deep

Personality:

the guys who cries at parties

a real good guy, there’s no denying that

he and Token both cried while watching The Kissing Booth on Netflix, promising each other to always support who the other dates. They swore to never talk about it again

loves his friends SO MUCH

generally loves being around people, he is very extroverted!

both with people and scenery and stuff idk

Friendships:

when Tweek and Craig started dating, Tweek was a bit nervous about being with the group and feeling like he took up too much space?

and Clyde noticed right away and made sure to really get to know him well and they became great friends, to Craig’s somewhat surprise

Clyde can be a little intense and Craig figured Tweek might find him too much, but it ended up being the opposite, they really enjoy each other’s friendship and their differences works well together

thinks of all of these dudes as his best friends!

his first real crush was Bebe who turned out to be gay

they’re real good friends now but deep down he’s still a little heartbroken

but he values their friendship so much so he’s working through it!

but Liane is kind and warm to him and he warms up to her eventually

actually really comes to care for him tho (it’s mutual but Cartman will never admit it)

trash note: please, take this as an apology for the fact that I’ve abandoned ya’ll a bit lately! I hope to have the next Clandestine part up by Sunday, and I’ll be back to a normal schedule next week. Also, this is a mess, but it’s what a lot of you wanted!

- TALL TWEEK, TALL TWEEK! (in courtesy of @artistictea)

-or you know, at least “taller than Craig, Tweek”

- like, imagine Craig hit his end height pretty early and was used to being the tallest of his peers, and suddenly Tweek has a late growth spurt and he’s suddenly taller than him and neither of them knows how to deal with it, practically when it comes to kissing and cuddling and ya know ;)))

- I’ve said it before, but Butters is a bi boooy change my mind

- one of the main reasons the other bothers with Cartman trough middle school, when he is at his worst, is because of his big basement, the old Coon Lair, who got a big renovation around 7th grade and is an awesome, private hangout spot with a big TV and wifi and gaming systems

- dw, he still gets his reality check the day even Kenny and Butters, who usually have more patience with him, finally ditch him completely

- Butters put up with Cartman for so long because he genuinely thinks he can be fun when he’s not horrible, and he really tries his best to believe in people

- Kenny did because he deep down feels a little bad for Cartman, he’s def the one of his friends and peers who has the most insight when it comes to trauma and the effect of his upbringing and stuff, and he has a deep need to try to understand people the best he can

- speaking of my boys, Butters did have a pretty huge crush on (a very unaware) Kenny during middle school, but then they started hanging out a lot more and became really close and Butters didn’t really bring it much thought - that’s until Cartman gets jealous and throws out a “what are you guys dating and fucking and being gay huh???” and Butters mind immediately goes to “omg ew no he’s like my brother!”

- aaand that’s how Butters realized he was over his crush

- they stay close friends tho, Kenny makes Butters laugh and helps him be more sure of himself and Butters helps Kenny remember that they’re still just kids and should have fun and be good

- I’m sorry but Wendy and Bebe starts dating late in high school and is a huge ass power couple

- Wendy is openly pan and gender fluid by then and while Bebe is pretty popular with the boys, she never really showed that much interest in anyone, so when they start dating not that many people are surprised except Clyde who cried for a week because he was sure the were “endgame”

- just picture Token’s face when Clyde chokes out the word “endgame”, totally serious, between heart wrenching sobs

- so done

- however, Jimmy generally writes a lot of comedy and satirical pieces, while Stan is very into the more Lovecraftian stuff, mixed with steampunk fantasy and a lot of dark poesy and at first Jimmy is a little taken aback and worried because of that

- but he learns that writing is Stan’s way of dealing with the dark thoughts and feelings, and is generally doing pretty darn good

- however, whenever Stan has a bad day or week, Jimmy or Kyle is always the first two people to notice and do something because of that

- Kenny doesn’t necessarily wear that much female targeted clothes anymore, just the occasional floral printed hoodie etc as hoodies is literally all he wears, but he still really like it and the older he gets, the more he gets into fashion and design and stuff

- he starts drawing a lot more, which he is okay at already, and he’s obsessed with couture fashion, even tho he think the pricing of the clothes and the fact that they’re only made for tall, think models are ridiculous

- he secretly dreams of making those types of clothes for all types of people, rich, poor, boys, girls, gender fluids, non-binary, tall, short, thin, thick, you know, just a very all inclusive type of thing

- if any one of these kids become a jock, it’s def Kyle with his basketball change my mind
