The Solve It Squad as Servants of the Lords in Black

AKA an AU I think about a lot but will probably never write.

Gwen: Blinky. This one's obvious and easy. Gwen's career is all about fame and perception, and she loves to be noticed--her underlying character motivation often boils down to "get as many eyes on me as possible." And she's constantly positioning the others in front of cameras, doing her best to lay them bare to the world, even when they're at their very worst.

Esther: Nibbly. I briefly considered putting Scrags here, but ultimately decided that his relationship with food is far too complex. Esther, on the other hand, doesn't really have that problem. Despite their anarcho leanings and consistent disdain for capitalism, deep-down Esther is all about consumption, and often the pointedly mindless kind. The non-stop intake of substances, the way their brain devours information when they're sober... hell, they even work as a sample person at Costco of all places (no offense to Costco).

Keith: Tinky. Another bastard-and-bastard duo. While T'noy Karaxis is all about the false promise of nostalgia and the dangerous allure of living in the past, connecting him to all of the Squad but Esther, Keith takes it to a whole new level. This man is in his 30s, and he lives in the car he drove in high school, maintains an imaginary relationship with his girlfriend from freshman year, designs and sells merchandise of his high school glory days, and at one point even puts on the clothes he wore when he was probably fifteen. But really seals the deal is his Tinky-esque willingness to trap others in the past with him, going so far as to manipulate and deceive in order to return to a time where he felt he mattered. And what's more Tinky than that?

Scrags: Wiggly. Representing Capitalism, Wiggly is all about the holes that the ravages of time leave in people's souls, and the mad, exploitative rush to find something that fills them. And who feels the wounds of the past more deeply and painfully than Scrags? Unlike Esther, Scrags is forced by diabetes to find something other than straight-up non-stop consumption to deal with his losses, and unlike Keith he operates under the delusion that he's not still living in the past. But he's nonetheless constantly searching for an out. So instead he loses himself in his job, working as basically a cop of all things, and what's more capitalist than that?

Cluebert: Pokey. "Cluebert, you’re the tie that binds us all as ONE." He was their unifier, the thing that kept them working as one unit. Also, let's be real, a talking dog is some Pokey-ass shit.

I'm so tired of people treating Kieran like he's manipulating the player or whatever like HE'S A CHILD!!! Also I'm tired of people saying people who don't like how Carmine treated him just hate low empathy people and women like. She gets better! I love the other parts of her character! But you can't deny that she infantilizes Kieran and blames his genuine distress from being wronged on "teen angst" as well as the obvious "at least I didn't hit him" line. You can't deny that her mistreatment of him is what leads him astray. She has every right to be angry and abrasive to tourists, but the way she takes it out on her brother obviously harmed him. No, Kieran doesn't see Ogerpon as an object - he just clings to those who he believes understand him and wants to feel like he belongs. He's not evil. He's a mentally struggling young teen who clings to any semblance of acceptance in his life and believes he was wronged by the person he trusted.

No, people are not ableist or misogynistic for saying Carmine's actions were harmful and caused emotional pain. No, comparing her hate to the likes of how fans treated Nemona is not fair. Yes they're wrong for narrowing her down to a one-dimensional abuser who can never be redeemed. But it's okay to acknowledge that she's hurting her brother. She's not evil for it. She's a mentally struggling teen/young adult whose struggles seep into how she treats the people she cares about.

WAHHH mismatched socks, the elastic of his calvin kleins (that u bought him) peeking out at his backside; he nearly trips over his work bag that's waiting for him on the floor and practically slides right into your full-length mirror--you're really rooting for him and even though he wouldnt say it, he'd try to strangle himself if he lost his job for being late just one too many times--because he's rushing to get out the door.

you can hear him from the kitchen where you're putting together lunches (not for him specifically, but because you already make something for yourself, you might as well...you're welcome, touya), AND YES IT'S SO HARD not to laugh when the door bursts open and he's looking like a little fool with his black and white hair actually combed down and smudges around his eyes from trying + failing to get your eyeliner off of him.

(also, did he use your hairspray that was sitting on your vanity? maybe. okay, yes. though it's no surprise he knows where everything you own is lmfao)

Hi Shima!! How are you?

Hi anon!! I’m tired but good c: I recently got back from a camping trip which is why I’ve been kinda MIA, surprisingly enough we did have service up in the mountains so that was nice!

I got some nice scenery pictures!

Still can’t believe I got that shot of the rainbow, it drizzled a little right after we set up camp and then the sun came out and it was just 👌

Also I had no idea my phone was capable of taking actually decent pictures of the stars, but yeah they were SO clear and so gorgeous, we could see a bit of the Milky Way 🥺

Got a really clear shot of the Big Dipper too!

And on the last day (Tuesday) we went to a wolf reserve and actually got to go into their enclosure and pet them, which was the best thing ever. I got legitimate wolf kisses!!!

We got back Tuesday afternoon but I was just so wiped that I went straight to bed. I took today off of work too bc I’m still recovering but I’ll be going back tomorrow :’)
