#roadie rambles#(a LOT. the brainrot is winning today)#overmorrow tfs#project E#oh you beast of a project you. already causing me pain this early on…#sat down and hashed out a bunch of dialogue without really planning to today#since I write out of order I don’t always know what I’m gonna end up working on/having inspiration for#so I just let my head go at it#and whaddya know. it was one of the emotional scenes#I worked on some other parts too but this was a /very/ important scene so it was nice to get some of it down#so anyway I cried 💅 again 💅 which is really great bc I was so immersed I didn’t even realize how emotional it made me#(having the playlist on Did Not help)#I think this is the kinda story that needs to move me first before I can even think of showing it to anyone else#and by that I mean I need to pretend I didn’t write it and see if I’m able to feel the weight of it still#as long as it’s making me feel deeply and making me /think/ that’s my indicator that I’m on the right path#…then again. it doesn’t take much to make me feel and think so we’ll see if this idea of mine holds any merit 😅#did I mention that I. still don’t quite know what I’m doing#I’ve only got the pieces of this puzzle…but each day the picture becomes a lil clearer#okay that’s it for my word vomit; writing tumblr tags is so cathartic#thanks for reading! 🫶#overmorrow misc

Girl help I've acquired possibly yet another expensive hobby
#op#2 of them in fact#currently making a frame weaving loom (and by that i mean my dad idk enough about wood working and this wood is too expensive to fuck up)#and getting into mechanical keyboards#i already have a lotta yarn so the real costs rn are the keyboards#which are like at least 100usd a pop#what sucks is that they all seem to be 60% keyboards or tkl's and like. i need my fn and number pad keys pls and thx#debated sacrificing the num pad and getting a seperate one bc wowza these custom boards are absolutely gorgeous but#i am on such a budget and a cheap (cheap!!!) keyboard i found that i quite like is still gonna run me 200cad#if i got a pretty keeb and a seperate numpad i could easily be looking at $500+ like lordy#that's not even counting the switches i want to get (gateron baby kangs which are. $66. I'm assuming in usd bc it doesn't actually say)#anyway debating on whether or not i should order the keyboard now or wait till later cuz like is it even gonna be there later?#so much of this stuff is temporary and u never know#its a 96% keyboard and it has a calculator button!! only other board ive seen with that is my dads maybe 2005 wireless microsoft#so useful tbh#such a pretty board too all things considered#and finding a nice board like that with the numpad is not easy lemme tell ya like i was truly considering a ducky which.#i cant say im quite fond of their logo among other things#i think its more of a cream than white but u cant win em all#hmm to purchase now or to not purchase now‚ that is the question.... i could technically afford it but then#there's ComicCon + cost of supplies and whatnot for opening up my shop which is gonna be probably at least a hundred...#and then i would like to get some nice wool skirts for the winter/now bc pants are of the devil which is gonna be another 100/150 or so...#augh#i think the government should give me more money i think that would be very sexy of them to do#anyway can you believe i went on my phone to find a banana bread recipe then did all this instead? crazy#hashtag adhd life

i went to this place today with a bunch of arcade and pinball machines and had a super fun time and now i'm thinking about arcade date fluff with copia....
#i lost track of time but we fully spent like 5 and half hours there lol and only left because i needed to eat#it was really fun!!#there was a phantom of the opera pinball machine and i played it a ton#i suck at pinball but it was phantom!! i couldn't help myself#it was based on the book and i kept nerding out on all the little details that i really liked#also played darkstalkers for probably over an hour#and i had to stop because i felt like i was getting carpal tunnel and i was getting way too frustrated because it was really hard#but i grew up playing a lot of arcade games so i had a lot of fun!!#we already know copia is a Gamer so i think going to an arcade with him would be really funnn#gonna cheer him on while he tries to get the high score on a game<33#and being totally in sync playing co-op games and still trying to one-up each other even when we're on the same team hehe#we play a fighting game and he's annoyed that i'm using the same strat i've used since i was a kid#which is just randomly mashing buttons and wiggling the joystick aimlessly until i accidentally figure out a combo and then spamming it#and more than that he's frustrated that it's working and i keep winning#i could go on but yeah arcade dates my beloved <33#what do you have to say doll?

From what I understood of a two hour mutual infodump (I received kratos: god of war lore, he received greek myths)
Kratos is god of war bc he killed Ares (and a lot of other people/gods).

#i will put rest of ramble in notes bc you’ve probably already got 10 versions of it#but I love mythology and you did dangle greek gods in front of us like keys#ok starting with homer and did he exist#nobody knows who or how many people homer was ‘homer’ is the name given to the guy(s) who wrote the iliad and odyssey down#in like the 7th century bc ish#bc for the previous few centuries we forgot how to write so those poems had been memorised and passed down orally#my personal favourite theory about ‘homer’ is that the epic poems were in fact written by a group of storytellers#who got together and used their combined knowledge/versions to create the most cohesive version#but yeah we know fuck all#odysseus was also not a god he was a greek hero#he features in both the illiad and (obviously) the odyssey i could talk about him a lot more but gonna move on#pluto/hades are both god of the underworld and the same guy#it’s just that the romans badly copy pasted the greek gods to get their own pantheon hence new name#Hephaestus in indeed a god of fire and of metalwork and the forge#he does live inside a big fuck off volcano which is occasionally thought to be mt etna#hermes: messenger god and also of travellers and thieves#had lots of little statues called herms to help direct travelled and most of the statues had phallueses on#hermes actually bears more similarity to thor’s dad (odin) than zeus does#(hermes and odin both like lying a lot lol as does odysseus for that matter)#zeus is indeed god of the sky in general and his favourite weapon is lightning#he is also king of the gods his most well known brothers are posidon and hades and his wife is hera (goddess of marrige and also his sister)#and yeah not nordic that’s odin#poseidon is spot on and fun fact he’s also god of horses bc why the fuck not i guess#already covered hephaestus#aphrodite is yeah goddesses of love and beauty so da hot one sums it up well#ares and athena are the main war gods#ares more of the bloody vicious side and athena more of the actual tactics and how to win#hades does rule the underworld (aka hades realm aka hades)#ok last tag apollo started as god of plague and then medicine and then archery and prophecy and yk what fuck it he’s god of the sun too#kratos apparently is a god but of strength not war

Make Puerto Rico a state already, don't like having second class Americans, and that's how I'd describe it when they're out there paying taxes, contributing to the good of the country, but they don't even get representation via things like a senator
Like I'm sat here thinking about it and... do Puerto Ricans living in Puerto Rico even get to vote for president? Cause... that's never listed in the electoral college vote count, so I'm gonna guess no

Make Puerto Rico a state, make them a state. Every year I get more and more pissed off as I think about how fellow Americans are treated like this. I'm extremely pro Puerto Rico, they're clearly a part of the union... you either make them a state or make them their own country, you don't keep people trapped in this limbo state where they've got less rights than I do
#people bring up how the electoral college is there to avoid tyranny of the masses; and fair enough#(though I think it's a real broken system; and I'm not real keen on tyranny of the swing states either)#(like maybe if the electoral college was at least less winner takes all so people who don't vote like their state stood a chance)#(...I'm not gonna invent a substitution when no one's gonna implement it; but this system ain't great either)#but to the point; we don't want tyranny of the masses; right?#well here we are with Puerto Ricans not getting any say what so ever; unless I'm much mistaken... which everything I find says no#and listen... I'll be blunt; population isn't a number that ever means that much to me or sticks with me#I can't actually tell you the population of anywhere in the world cause... I tend to more just get a feel of how many people are there#like a lot; a little... like I know Nigeria has one of the highest populations; but I couldn't tell you the number#my point being; I don't know how many Puerto Ricans their are living in Puerto Rico; but it seems like a meaningful amount#it feels like they... gotta have more than like Wyoming; so it feels a little unfair if Wyoming gets a say and they don't; you know?#like no one would saying Wyoming doesn't deserve to have senators and representation in the house; and a vote for president#so why don't... I want to say millions of Americans; again; not great with the numbers side; but I feel like Puerto Rico probably has 2+ mi#I want Puerto Rican statehood; you search (and tumblr cooperates) you'll see I've been saying it for some time#also say I think DC should be a state too; and that Hawaii should be given a choice if they want to stay or not#like I like having em in the US; but they should have the right to choose#but those two I know are more radical ideas and less likely to be implemented#but Puerto Rican statehood... hands down it's a disgrace they aren't already and it goes against fundamental principles of the US#it's not like I personally know any Puerto Ricans (unless one of you is... I just don't know many people in general)#(like I don't think I know anyone from Maine either for example... lots of Arizonans though; but mostly people from my state)#anyway; I've got zero personal stake in this; it's just about what's right#Puerto Ricans are Americans; and they deserve a seat at the table... in this case a literal one; two senate seats and however many house#(I couldn't tell you what the breakdown is of population to house seats; and I'm not sure if we'd make new ones or shift from like Cali)#I don't see this happening in the next 4 years whoever wins (though... maybe have a feeling who would be more for it)#but I'll still keep saying it...
