Finally some Silly Little Monster AU designs! Here we have Thalassa, Lamiroir, Jove, and Zak

Thalassa is the name of one of those ancient primordial Greek gods, and she was the personification of the ocean. This goes along with Lamiroir being the “siren”. Since her kids are an angel and a demon, I thought going the goddess route would work since they aren’t hybrids and I can do what I want with my lore :3

As I was drawing up the design, I realized that what I was wanting was literally just Sea Fairy Cookie from Cookie Run, so I went with it. The goddess Thalassa has horns made of crab arms, so I gave this Thalassa some horns as well. Her hair and dress are always flowing like water.

Next we have Lamiroir. Since her design with the cloak is more based around constellations, I went the space route. I decided it worked since the moon controls the tide anyways, so there’s already a connection between the sea and the sky. When she lost her memory in The Incident, it caused her form to change, resulting in what we have here. It’s essentially a cracked gem Lapis situation, which is what I based her design off of. I thought the mirror eyes was perfect, and that actually makes her (la)Mirror Gem and makes Thalassa the Ocean Gem. I’ve always associated her with Blue Diamond anyways, so it works! Also I was just a big fan of both design concepts, so I did both.

Then we have Jove, who is a demon like his son. Apollo’s hair horns translated into his demon horns in his design, but Jove’s hair goes down, so I opted to give him both his hair horns and regular demon horns. I also decided to have one of his horns be broken just to spice up the design a little.

Finally, we have Zak. He’s an angel like his daughter. I started off the design wanting him to have silly little tiny wings, but as I drew, I couldn’t decide if I wanted that or if I wanted him to have big giant wings. The discord decided that small wings were funnier and so I went with those. His design didn’t change much, save for the halo hat, his ears, the wings, and the silly sparkles. Also, I believe that he wasn’t bald on the top before the 7yg lmao so yeah 😁

Thalassa’s husbands were both really warm toned while she was all blue and watery, which I think worked out.

Was bored ripping my hair out trying to do optimizations so I made this instead of anything actually worthwhile. For now it's mostly just a novelty. Rushing it out as I'm at work 4x12hrs starting tomorrow :)

This is a ALPHA IT SHOULD BE SAFE BUT IT MIGHT ALSO NOT BE. Speedwriting this post as I've gotta go sleepy.

What it does:

Renderer Flags:

This was the original idea and what this was solely going to be. I found a function that set things like wireframe and other renderer things, so I made a script for it.

Some useful things it can do are turning drop shadows off, which is nice for reshade as it lets you do a better looking AO. Some people might find the pips, scene boxes, etc. useful but idk. Some of it is neat to look at I guess.

Game Values:

Just the one for now, max lots, it's still effected by the weird range/frustum cull thing that effects shadows, so outside of that range extra lots wont load. These are going to be static values that can be edited ingame. There's a few other ones I've found like ObjectSizeCullFactor but I need to properly test them. I'll also add some informational ones that can't be changed like loaded object count, etc.

Game Config:

This is where things went off the rails…

I'm hooking two functions here to grab and set boolean and string config values directly as they're called in memory, which is important as some are overridden or altered, or aren't listed in the files at all (ForceHighLODObjects my beloved). Currently it lists mostly everything in the SGR file and some ini settings. The boolean stuff is a pretty sure bet, the strings might be overwritten elsewhere idk. Please keep in mind that some of these settings can be very damaging to your game and sanity, do not use ones you don't recognize on a save you love.

To enable the config overwrite, tick the box next to it and hit save. They won't do anything unless the box is checked.

I'll be adding tunables (like LightingCommon) into the list… eventually. Currently they're a little… weirdly/interestingly/uniquely written in the decomp'd functions I've been looking at, so I haven't been able to get their values. There's probably a really simple way of doing all of this in one of the dlls or packages or something but idk. If you know lmk.

I'll also probably try and find the in memory location of some of them, so they can be changed ingame without the need to restart.

Okay, okay, where to start, I think there’s like, a lot to go over so I’m gonna try to start from the beginning. This is gonna be a long post so strap in folks. (and ignore my discord nickname, it's an inside joke)

The Descent into Madness

Back in January/February of this year I decided to pick up writing as a hobby, I started off with little blurbs of a potential SB rewrite I had cooking up (and still cooking up today), however that’s not relevant to Ellis, so I’m skipping to the fic he’s actually include in. So, on February 4th I drew this as a joke, but then I wanted to expand on it and make it a fic.

(You can tell this is old by how light Ellis is and comparing him to my current design LMAO) (and the "like the show?" is supposed to be a reference to transformers)

That being said, that fic wasn’t even entirely focused on him, the basic premise was Greg came out to Ellis as nonbinary and Ellis would go “like the code??? XDDDD!!!!”, isn't he so quirky and not like other girls?? /j

Okay anyways, the thing was, I don’t think I got that far into reading GGY because most of it SUCKED and was really out of character. I didn’t even used the names “Rab” or “Boots” which actually annoys me so bad I don’t even wanna look at it. Sorry to the Instagram followers who wanted to see it, it’s in the garbage now and I hate it, but that’s completely okay! It was a learning experience for me, which lead me to my next fic that I am. Technically. Still. Working on.

I think this was the moment I realized I grew to be in love with Ellis’s “character”, in quotation marks because he’s not really a character y’know. This is also when I found a way to read GGY properly, so that means I’d have my fic more accurate. I actually documented my reading on my instagram (same username) if you’re interested, though it’s kind of corny looking back on it, definitely exaggerated some of my opinions on it.

If you follow my Instagram, you can see in a story I revealed that I currently find the fic really unfun to work on, and that I enjoyed working on a different one. Let me just explain, I believe that the fic is like, angst with no merit, someone might enjoy reading something like that but I don’t like writing it personally. Right now, I’m in the process of replanning, which is why I’d like to thank our today’s sponsor, Milanote!!!1! Kidding, but Milanote has genuinely made things easier for me it’s kind of insane. Obviously I’m going to keep some aspects in the fic (not spoiling though ^_^) but I hope to make it fun for me to work on again this time around.

Ellis has a minor role in the short story ‘GGY.’ He is described as being impatient nearly all of the time, bouncing on his heels when he is. He often jokes around with his friend Tony, purposely calling him Tinkerbell instead of the pseudonym Tarbell, and telling him that he thinks too much. He immediately brushes off the writing assignment in Mrs. Soto’s class, saying that the story is due in two weeks and they’ve got plenty of time.

His dad insists that Sundays are for family time. He considers Tony’s real life investigations lame, making a dramatic snoring sound effect when Tony tells him he was people watching. At the end of GGY, Ellis ends up changing Tony’s story completely, albeit probably because of manipulation from Greg/GGY himself, he also compliments the changes they made by saying “it gets better.” (It doesn’t get better they’re probably going to get an F 🫶)

Ellis Fan Design(s)

In this section I’m just going to be rambling about Ellis fan designs, not naming any names though because it’s not really a specific design, just specific design aspects. Soo my first thing is: please stop making him grey/ashy or hell, incredibly light😢😢😢 it reminds me of when I was like 11 and all of my black characters were borderline grey. My second thing is that I’ve seen a handful of designs where he just. Doesn’t have curly hair. It annoys me sooo bad like guys please 😕😕 umm another thing is when people don’t give his square jaw, like maybe they do but it’s just really subtle??? Idk!!!

Anyways my Ellis design went through many changes actually, but one thing that remained consistent was the long hair with the. Brown?? Idk how to describe it lmao. Here are some sketches from old sketchbooks!! There are some more but those are kind of spoiler territory for my fic so >_>,, gotta wait another 8 months for those! /j

Way before these sketches were even created, I had an idea on how Ellis would dress, it's um. It's definitely a fashion statement...!

These were the drawings that had the designs I wanted to stick with, and have stuck with to this day! I took the idea that he would be a Monty fan and ran with it, for the jacket you can actually see it in the "im nonbinary" "like the code???" doodle I did, however looking back the short sleeved jacket and the long sleeved was kind of ugly.. In one of the doodles above, I drew him with ripped jeans, while they're quite fun they wouldn't really fit with the design I have now (and also I can't fit the rips on the current jeans anywhere)

I think this is self explanatory, after Tony's mom lost her only son a natural instinct is to cry her eyes out. For the "Mama's lying" part I'm just going to bullshit an answer that's relevant to the fic I'm writing. Sooo, in the context that is Ellis being like, y'know, sad, his mom would obviously try to comfort him, and since I hc that he blames himself somewhat, she'd try to tell him it isn't his fault and such, however Ellis doesn't believe that, which is where the "lying" part comes in. For the last two parts, Tony's parents actively tried to change what Tony wrote stories about, aka kind of changing his whole shtick idk.

Another theme in my fic is that Ellis reminisces, A LOT. Like first few paragraphs he's like "I miss my friends bro what the fuck!!!!!!!!11"

In this little animatic idea in my head, this is the part where Ellis and Gregory reunite and Ellis comes to the realization he killed Tony, "The end?" represents them cutting ties with each other, because there's no way their relationship can be healthy anymore. OR IS THERE?? DUN DUN DUNNNNN....

After Tony gets really pissed with Ellis, Ellis didn't realize what was wrong until later, in which he'd want to apologize and change Tony's mind about not wanting him to work on any writing assignment with him anymore. However he had done too much damage he can't undo, and also Tony is dead but SHHHH SHHHH

Ellis, being the comedic type in my hc (and many other's I think), would use humor to cover up his feelings by using humor as a coping mechanism y'know? "Boys don't cry" was/still is quite the common mindset, assuming Ellis would believe in said mindset, he's given another reason to not cry. Sorry that's probably a reach HELP.

I'm pretty sure Ellis would do anything to get Tony back, your honor that was his BEST BUDDY. The last two lines are obvious because Tony is like, dead,,,,, anyways skipping the next section because I'd just repeat myself

In GGY, Tony brings up that Ellis is very immature and feels as if he is outgrowing him, Ellis changing up his story is what broke the camels back, which is where "misjudged your limits/pushed you too far/took you for granted" comes in, Ellis, thinking Tony thought of him as someone he couldn't lose, so it'd hurt when Tony seemed to drop him just like that (ok well to him it seems unexpected but y'know, Tony's "im not like other girls" inner monologues. (kidding))

For the first two lines, I immediately think of @kai-rio 's (sorry for the @ lmk if you want to be removed but also you're really normal about Ellis like me so) Ellis fic, you can read it right here, um, in the briefest summary I can give of the first part, Ellis goes "omg I need to find Tony !!!!! >_<" and like plans. to go to that. like he gets geared up /j. I'd make a joke about the ending but that'd be SPOILERS.... anyways refer to what I said before for the other lines.

Funny fact, in one of my ideas for the Ellis fic rework, I have a point that says "mention Ellis constantly feeling sick", not in the literal sense obviously, but it ties in with this lyric methinks.

This would be Ellis to Greg, as Tony's death technically wasn't his fault, but he has to repeat it in his head like a mantra because Greg and GGY shared the same face and it's hard to separate the two from one another. Shaking for seemingly no reason is a symptom of anxiety, and if you checked Ellis's art fight page that I really need to revamp, it's stated he has that so!!! yay!!!!!!!!!!

I think I’m like the only person who ships this now,,,,, Ummmm I just wanna say I don’t really take this shipping thing too seriously because they’re just middle school kids and they’re bound to be silly/awkward. Obviously they do have potential to be really angsty like “oh my god you killed my best friend why do I still love you? Is it because I’m still in love with the person you pretended to be?” Or something idk it’s dumb I like to focus on the sillier things like passing notes in class, trash talking teachers they don’t like, and sharing snacks with each other or whatever.

Absolutely unrelated but can we NOT use the term "yaoi" to describe the relationship between two middle schoolers like, i'm sorry that's just hella weird. Sorry if this is flipline addictspilled flipline addictsmaxxing /inside joke but it's like saying "middle school boy yaoi" like is that NOT weird to you? Also I've seen some really iffy ship art and whenever I come across it I just think to myself: "bro aren't they like twelve???" And I’ve seen no one acknowledge it in the tags of the art, and I’ve brought it up to a friend who is an outsider to the GGY community and they thought the same thing too. Look. Anyways back to Grellis!!! When I first saw them, I thought their alternative ship name, “Grel”, was “Gel”, and I thought that was the funnier shit ever. You might be asking why I ship them and it’s because like, they’re seen interacting with each other for most of the story, and I don’t have to rely on post-canon “what-ifs” to get their relationship to work.

also they play roblox together and watch the mlp eq movies but at the same time they head bang to death metal. Now you might remember when I said that I hc Ellis to be born on April 5th and use he/she pronouns and that we'll come back to that later. The reason is Papa Louie, okay well, NuTimm (Timm x NuMarcus) specifically, but Papa Louie in general. But before we get into it, I edited Ellis in the Flipline Style once ^_^

Ok so really short origin story of NuTimm is that it started off as a joke and two of my friends role played them breaking up, but Niall (rippcharddrive) started getting attached to it. Sooner or later he added them to his tomodachi life island and on March 31st 2024, they got together!!! and got married in under and hour of doing so!!! Now, how does this relate to Ellis? well on April 3rd, Timm got knocked up bro /JJJ

Niall didn't know what to name the baby so I jokingly suggested the name Ellis and everyone else liked it so the baby was going to be named Ellis!!

And on April 5th (I think you can understand why that's his birthday now), she was born!!! And everyone in du2 thought she was ugly </3

To make a long story short they ended up having like 7 more kids I think I forgot, and many more grandkids. Then one day I decided to get Tomodachi Life myself (with the help of Niall), made my own island and added fnaf Ellis and NuTimm Ellis to it, long story short they fell in love and eventually got married and became the gayest straight couple (/j). NuMarcus, wanting to give Ellis a head start in parenting, made 2 NuBaby's, each of which have incredibly long and stupid names because Ellis wanted to piss him off.

BUT THEN... THE PLOT THICKENS. On Nialls island, Gregory and NuTimm Ellis fell in love and also got married, thus forming the most confusing love triangle of all time. IM RUNNING OUT OF IMAGES BUT here is when I started using he/she for Ellis

I've mentioned multiple of my Ellis hcs in the song portion but I haven't really made an entire list of them so!! Here we go guys!!! We're at the homestretch!!!

- ummm neurodivergent (AuDHD), I interpret him bouncing his heels in that one scene in GGY as his stimming thanks, he also quotes memes as a vocal stim pray for him /jjj - types with a lot of emoticons and exclamation marks - laughs at the dumbest crap ever, you could show him the "she strogan me off till i beef" video and he'd cry laughing - somehow knows every unblocked games website - Picks at his. acne all the time - Knows the" most obscure ass media, he'll go up to Tony and Greg and be like: "Have you guys heard of Zigglyblorfblorf??" and they'll be like "???? WHAT????" - Wanted to become a youtuber when he was way younger because he thought it would be easy and it would make him look cool and awesome (his parents did NOT approve). Speaking of parents I made. fan designs. for them. SEE GUYS I AM SO NORMAL!!! THEY TOTALLY DONT HAVE THEIR OWN LORE OR ANYTHING!!! and totally can't be their own standalone characters1!!!

You asked for my void success story? And my void journey? well I am sharing it bestie!!

But again I won't share any personal stuff some people here are obsessive pls lmao

I typed it when I was on the discord server because someone who is in my experiment asked me so I answered and I asked myself like why not sharing it here after all that time and all these things I am doing (coaching - the experiment - more....) and I am so excited to share the results of my experiment after exactly 6 days and actually 2 people joined the experiment but they were late!

So.....

• let's begin with my void journey!

Okay basically I am sure no one actually knows this except for like 3 people on Tumblr and like 20 people in my experiment (cuz they asked me) my life before entering was actually great I already had everything I wanted my mom and dad are literally my role models and my self-concept was perfect and I am not saying it as an affirmation it's just me and I was always finding something from time to time related to the void state and I worked more on my self-concept using my tape I made it in early - mid 2022 (actually the same tape I sell now) then I started collecting information about the void from literally everywhere back in late 2022 then I started applying in early 2023 I entered in January but didn't really plan to manifest anything because I had the same manifesting abilities in my daily life then I thought about it more than once so I made a list full of everything I can think of at that time and I entered in early 2023 again

• How I entered?

It was just normal i was in the USA specifically NY at that time I was listening to my self-concept tape it was almost 10pm and I felt like I will actually enter today and manifest everything I wasn't even planning to do it but I knew I will experience it's just a feeling I felt at that time and I was feeling a lot of love at that time too so I meditated I didn't affirm I didn't do anything it was fully my subconscious mind but it wasn't that deep to me it was normal EVEN THO IT WAS NORMAL all these days when I entered affirmed the affirmation that's connected to my void list then got out and found everything that was on my void list in my apartment IT WAS SO SURPRISING TO ME but I didn't get overwhelmed nor confused! It was a great surprise!

Also the time it was like 2am when I got out of my void state as I remember and I was sitting at the same place for almost 15 mins just realizing what happened with me and why my head feels like this it was a weird feeling I still can't find a name to it or a word that explains it! i thought about the word "dizzy" BUT it's not just dizzy and it's not really dizzy - it's just a different feeling!

• What was my void state like?

I will say everything that's on my mind

The first time I entered it was pitch black

Then I typed on my void list that it's full of stars it's like outer space because I chose it to be like that (you can choose how your void state looks like too)

It looked exactly like this and everytime I wake up there since that day because I didn't change it! 🫶🏻

Entering was so intense not emotionally but physically even tho I didn't feel my body 😭 it was as if my soul is getting out of my body it was so unexplainable and special to me my body was tired after it and I was feeling too much in my head after getting out and back to my physical body I don't have words for what I experienced the first time and the second time 😭 but now I have no symptoms because it was so annoying so I manifested it away when I woke up in my void state the second day (this was on my void list tho like waking up in my void state everyday and being in my void state everytime I take a nap) - that feeling in my head was so bad like as if I was so high and can't even focus for 15 mins non-stop! That's why I manifested not experiencing any symptoms at all.

• What did you manifest?

I manifested a lot of things I wanted but tbh having these things wasn't that far from me like I already could do it without entering my void state at all and I won't be specific about what I manifested cause they are a bit personal but they were friendships/relationships + businesses + apartments/homes + money/more investments..... and way more

Also I already had many investments before I entered my void state hope this clears everything too

cause many people were asking me about how do I have tips for entering without sharing my story the tips are here tho they are very helpful - it was because I don't like these people who come to your DMs and ask you to help them once and twice and 3 times with their trauma dump message or ask pls like no it was just too much for me when I posted once that I entered then deleted it but here we are again if it happens just don't blame me I will just block people.....

The first red flag was their rules saying something along the lines of "be respectful to sources, of a source is problematic, report it in a ticket" surely that will go well.

Our host clued into it, and immediately opened a ticket to ask what that meant. of course they claimed they knew Introjects don't choose their source BUT problematic introjects have to source separate.

Fellas, is it appropriate to claim that any introject, problematic or not is "parading" their source by simply. Existing?

Now I will admit. When we were asked "what we were trying to do" we assumed they meant "why are we having this conversation" and did our best to explain that. However, looking back, this may not have been the question they wanted an answer to. The question feels too vague to answer, and we did our best. It also seemed like they were just trying to change the topic of conversation because they didn't want to be face with the fact that they were wrong and we had a good point.

Again, I don't understand what they want to know when they say "what is your end goal" my end goal is to know what's okay so I can know if I'm safe in this community.

To be as insensitive as to make a joke about using a discord bot being torturous when I had just been talking about abuse of individuals is what told me I wasn't safe. Someone after that when said "LMAO" which I skipped over to make the whole conversation fit better

And this is actually a problem I've been having for a while so I have something that people need to get through their heads and we need to help people to understand

No one has to disclose a SINGLE BIT of information about their system to ANYONE. If a mod is trying to coax the information out of you or shaming you for not giving it, you need to call them out for being innapropriate because asking these questions and using your position to ask these questions or shame for not answering is a absolutely innapropriate

Now I have explained this before, but I will explain this again and probably 100 more times. When my system found out who my source was, I was abused. at the same time, I was forced to undergo name changes and identify under different faces. It was a terrible and isolating experience and absolutely a part of the abuse I endured. And while another system can easily say "okay, whatever, Ted can be Dan in this server" we can't. Because I can't. Because of the abuse I endured I can't lie about who I am it is torturous to me. It leaves me unhappy. It leaves me feeling sick. I don't deserve to be exposed to old abuse I endured because you relate source separation to keeping your old name.

Guess what, a name is a word someone calls to get your attention.

Stop acting like my worth is based on my source and start acting like it's based on what I do for my system. braven and superbia theory :]

so my discord server allowed me to be stupid on main and rant about bravern at 11:30pm my time, so here’s just.. everything copy and pasted LMAO

also, posting this before ep4 drops, i can’t wait to see if any of my ramblings made sense

theory under the cut, spoilers for bang brave bang bravern ep. 1-3 and ep. 4 preview

the theory is this: bravern and superbia are the same species, possibly related to the deathdrives

firstly, in episode 1 and episode 3 we see bravern with a mask thing covering his face. and when you look at superbia, it seems as though they have something similar

i wouldn’t say that part is superbia’s actual face, due to the purple highlights/crystal looking things on their body. bravern’s eyes are green, and he does have a green crystal or piece of glass on that gold part of his face

and also, bravern has a green background in his transformation sequences and when we first meet him.

there’s also a green trail left by him when he flies in the intro + uses his blade.

the show’s logo briefly flashes green in the op

and the green in bravern’s cockpit + the weird green liquid from ep3

and superbia’s eyes do flash purple in the op, so i’m willing to bet superbia wears a mask much like bravern when we first meet him

and now when you look at bravern and superbia, they do seem very much alike

plus, the opening hints at superbia being somewhat relevant at least, due to the fact that in most anime openings, the fight featured in it is at least somewhat relevant to the story

and also, bravern knows superbia

the “you never change” implies that bravern’s fought against superbia before, or known them in the past

plus, the opening and show kind of confirmed lulu pilots superbia

1. lulu and isami have very similar outfits when piloting

2. this scene in the opening. the character does resemble lulu and the necklace looks like it was made to resemble superbia

3. again, the weird liquid in the mechs’ cockpits

so in other words, bravern and superbia are definitely very similar

plus, we saw that bravern was losing to superbia without isami

without a pilot

and lulu magically appeared on a beach after superbia was defeated. and coincidentally, superbia was in the deep waters when we first see a hint of them.

and i just wanna point out that smith had no idea what lulu meant when she said her name, but bravern understood.

and he didn’t look too happy about that

and in the preview for episode 4, we see a few scenes of bravern essentially being in a shitty mood. kind of looks like he’s lashing out here?

and then at the end we see a scene of lulu looking confused, and we immediately cut to this?

so to just tldr the point that bravern and superbia are part of the same species:

1. they share similar traits and visuals in the show (mainly the colours i talked about)

2. they both have pilots

3. they have a history together (we see superbia scoffing at bravern a few times, and bravern’s quote: “you never change”)

4. bravern shows a clear dislike for superbia and isn’t all too happy about lulu

and now, the other thing: bravern and superbia are some advanced form of the deathdrives, or are related to them

so first off, when the deathdrives are defeated, they go kaboom and explode into this weird cube shaped stuff

and what happened to superbia after bravern and isami’s attack?

additionally, when battling superbia, bravern attacked them with a punch, which they stopped with a purple shield

and what else uses a purple shield?

yup. the deathdrives

and in episode 2, bravern explains that they’re inorganic, metallic organisms that gained something like a conscience. and both bravern and superbia show to have that

bravern’s can be sean very clearly. he talks a lot.

superbia? all we hear from them are shrieky noises and scoffing. and what do we hear from lulu? also that

so to just tldr this entire rant/rambling:

bravern and superbia show signs of being from the same species. they both needing a pilot to achieve their true strength, without them they’re not as strong.

the deathdrives also show similarities to them; that being the similar way they “die” (we’re not sure if superbia actually died in ep3, so i’m putting the word in these “ ”guys), similar abilities (barriers/shields, flight, weaponry?).

so basically, to put all of this short: bravern and superbia are some advanced form of the deathdrives, probably existing to be something like commanders in an army, seeing how superbia kind of teamed up with the deathdrives?

anyway, hope this makes sense LMAO 😭

my grandpa passed away, then our guard who is staying and GUARDING our work place turned out to be thief and stole our materials worth to thousands of dollars so we worked w the police and caught him red handed and we kinda suffered from it a bit bcuz he kept saying it was his first time doing it and it's a diff kind of crime if it's the first time he is doing this or it's a repeating thing but anyways then we found a new place and we signed the lease and we changed our new accountant and we moved to our new work place and it took three weeks i think? we still have stuff at our old work place but the moving will end this week probably oh also i got a new cat here is a pic of her and her name is kömür

How do you come up with your fic titles? And what were some of the hardest ones to pick:]

This is such a good and hard question. I've been thinking about it for hours.

Hoo boy i had some things to say I guess

Ones I regret:

I've never fallen from quite this high, florida man dub, i was your willing accomplice honey, when the frost is gone there you'll find mulberries.

My favorite title is probably Hits Different. it's just so perfect for that fic where they, you know, hit each other, but also their relationship hits different AND that was the song i was obsessed with when writing it. Too perfect.

I hate coming up with titles but i recognize the title is very important to the fic. I use a lot of Taylor Swift songs (all of my hot girl summer bingo fics were named after TTPD songs) and John Dunne poems. Two fools is from a a john dunne poem: "I am two fools, I know, / For loving, and for saying so" (shine here to us is also from a john dunne poem called The Sun Rising, which i also used for a teen wolf fic "All honour's mimic, all wealth alchemy")

Otherwise, I name fics based on what they're about and/or a pun. Circling Back (fun fact my boss said this very same thing the other day and it made me internally laugh)

Let me familiaize you (which is about George accidentally making Patches his familiar but also means, like, let me catch you up on the tea but in corporate speak).

I also have two PWPs with biblical names or allusions - A pillar of salt in front of sodom, which of course references Lot's wife turning back as the arch angels were destroying the city for the sin there. The other one is Like Moses at the Burning Bush which is an awesome title and references the moment when god calls to moses to go back and save his people--a real call to action, so to speak. but this was a more direct in-joke between me and some friends from a discord server, which i won't explain because it will make no sense to anyone else. I have often felt that I need this to be a triology and thus need a new pwp nasty boy to complete it. (can i use you up could have gone here but i was sticking to the TTPD names then)

For Merry men making merry - I wanted a title that referenced this was a Robinhood AU. Here's me bothering Taizi about if I should change it or not

And then we can't not talk about the one time I have changed a fic's title after it was posted, but before it finished uploading:

the Sapnap mpreg abortion fic (my beloved). It was originally called... okay i actually don't remember but my author's note says it was from "fresh out the slammer" which is not my favorite song on TTPD. But yall.... the fic title of this fic is so perfect that I'm mad at myself for not thinking of it originally-- I'm having his baby (no i'm not) like come on that's a perfect title

I like my long fics to have only one or two words in the title (learned that less from i've never fallen from quite this high--but i named that one before i had fandom friends to bother for their opinions. in fact, that was the fic that made me my fandom friends yay)

Hits different, just one touch, shine here to us, deep in dream, Anagnorisis

Oh! Deep in the dream of a game--i knew I wanted the title of that one to reference the end poem (because the end poem is sprinkled into every chapter of that story if you squint) and someone who is no longer in the fandom came up with that line of the poem and I agreed it was perfect. Shortening it to deep in dream also just makes me laugh.

Anagnorisis is an experimental phase of naming something pretentious and it didn't super work out. People are confused on the name, understandably so. The word itself is a dramatic term meaning "the point in a play, novel, etc., in which a principal character recognizes or discovers another character's true identity or the true nature of their own circumstances." Which was my funny way of showing you guys that there were two side of the story and kinda foreshadowed george's realization that dream is coming at things from an entirely different perspective and that it would be revealed to him in time

See the Elephant is also a really good title, i think, because it's literally about an elephant soul mark, but also, this fic came out right after the grituation. See the elephant as a phrase means "Experience more than one wants to, learn a hard lesson; also, see combat, especially for the first time" which kinda felt applicable for us all coming out of the trenches for George.

Theres hope out the window is from a twenty one pilots song literally about guns and gun violence, which is also what that fic is about (underrated fic imo)

Continuously Unraveling New Thoughts: CUNT hehehehe. This one i just wanted to see if anyone would make the acronym and not realize. like "CUNT!Dream is so patient!"

For vis-a-vis, my beloved microfic, here's my call to the people on what I should name this thing. I usually don't listen anyway, but Flower had such a good suggestion that my jaw dropped

The Curse and Cure of the Internet -> very hard fic to name. I had written that line in the fic itself and it just kinda jumped out at me as the title. And it worked. I really think it works well as a title and inherently makes sense to that fic in particular.

Presently in London - just kinda funny because it was written for Dream's birthday, so present, but also he went to visit London so he was presently in london. A pun. I do love those.

Anyway this has gotten long enough. Titles are so fun. The fic really starts to feel real when i have a title and can start referring to it that way!

As the channels were flipped you were forced to watch yourself makeout with a half-masked Peter with his body pressing yours against the wall and your hand gripping his ass, multiple times you felt yourself sink in your chair with the feeling of mortification eating you alive. You sat casually on your chair at the head of the long square table as you eyed Nika who sat adjacent to you with a flabbergasted look in your eye. She reciprocated the look as she lifted her stark tablet showing you all of your friends screaming, crying and emoting in the group chat on Discord. You had to keep yourself from bursting into a nervous giggle fit. 

The TV is turned off by a board member as all of their eyes narrowed at you. You sat up straight and cleared your throat softly. 

"Miss Stark," one board member named Leanne Camry stated sternly. "Do you have any idea how serious this is?"

"What? That I'm in a relationship with an Avenger? Nobody is actually surprised, are they? My dad was literally Iron Man. I literally run the company that funds the Avengers."

"You are also the face of this company," another board member named Xavier Chavez interjected. "You have a responsibility that requires you to at least look like you give a damn about the well-being of this company."

You were taken aback. "So an innocent….well barely innocent kiss with Spiderman is gonna make the entirety of the company crumble? Wow, if I knew I had this much power maybe we should make sweet, sweet love on top of a HYDRA facility and watch the whole organization disintegrate."

Nika was in the middle of sipping her coffee before she spit it out all over the table from your words. A soft string of apologies left her mouth as she avoided the gazes of the board members. You dared to not look at each other for the moment because you knew if you did it would end up being a chaotic and unprofessional giggle fit.

"This is a serious matter," Darlena Christensen, another member, exclaimed. "You represent this distinguished establishment as a spearhead for greatness. We cannot afford you going around galavanting with random superheroes in parking lots doing unspeakable acts."

Your face twisted in confusion that screamed 'What the fuck?!' before you spoke. "What is this, the 1800s? Should I change my last name to Bridgerton? We were kissing and we made a mistake by doing it in public. This isn't the 1950s anymore. I'm not gonna get executed in the plaza by angry customers and benefactors with pitchforks and shovels because I kissed a guy who happens to be a favored superhero." 

"You're a businesswoman, not an influencer," Camry continued. "You should start acting like it for once. This image makes you look frivolous."

You rolled your eyes and sighed. Choose your battles, you thought to yourself several times.

"Okay, well, if you're all quite done patronizing me," you stood up and smoothed out your black bodycon dress under your matching black oversized blazer. "I would like to go back to being a businesswoman. In fact, I have to upgrade Spiderman's suit to have an invisibility option so we can galavant on top of the Empire State Building later. Hope it doesn’t fall over in the process."

And with that, you walked out ignoring the board's protest as Nika bumbled behind you still trying to keep composed and recover from your attitude that you definitely inherited from your late father. You glanced at each other for a quick moment before letting out a stream of silent giggles as you headed toward your office. When you both entered, you two looked at each other for a long moment before anyone spoke. 

"Oh, you're so fucked," she raised her eyebrows and nodded slowly with her lips pulled into a thin line.

"Yeah," you bit your lip nervously as you thought about Peter and if he was doing okay with all of this. 

Nika instantly started scrolling through her stark tablet, "It's trending on all platforms and people have…. opinions."

As you expected, people would have opinions. It’s not like you guys wouldn’t be a big conversation. Tony Stark’s daughter and an Avenger? You could only imagine how much you both broke the internet with this. 

"Yeah, I'm not worried about them," you replied, grabbing your phone. "I'm worried about-" You looked around cautiously. "Spidey." 

You knew that someone from the Avengers Tower was responsible for this but it was also both of your fault for not being more careful. Luckily, you didn't completely reveal his face and his back was to the camera. His identity was still safe for the time being.

But for how long?

You guys have been out and about together not really hiding yourselves, but considering you looked like a normal person on the streets no one could really tell if it was you or not. Your Stark appearance and your Jarvis appearance were vastly different.  As a Stark, people would expect you to be in edgy yet chic business casual designer fashion, a face full of bold glam makeup, hair slicked, and looking like a billion bucks, as one who's a Stark does. But as your Jarvis alias, you wore your usual staple look of black jeans, black jacket, black top, black shoes, minimal makeup, hair, and your Stark specs shaded over your eyes. Sometimes a mouth mask and a hat if there was an event coming up and you knew people would be looking for you.  It was something you carefully curated for this very reason. You weren't stupid. You knew you were a well-known public figure so you had to make life easier on yourself as much as possible. Especially because of enemies. Specifically, your dad's enemies that fell onto you.

Nika pursed her lips together again and crossed her arms. "So, what do you wanna do first?"

You chewed on your rose-painted bottom lip and crossed your arms over your chest. You tapped your ankle-booted foot on the ground in unison with your fingers tapping your arm several times as you ran down the list of things to do to help alleviate the situation at hand.

Willow took the time to rub herself between your legs and purred loudly at your presence. You smiled down at the bundle of fur before squatting down to pet her for a moment. Instant serotonin. 

"Let me call…Spiderman," You were careful to not use his name in case someone had bugged your office. "You check the security cameras to see who spilled the beans."

"On it," Nika clicked around on her Stark Tablet and sat on the couch in the middle of the office.

You stood up straight and texted Peter.

Hey, handsome~

He responded right away.

Hey, beautiful~ 💕 How are you?

Well, I got reprimanded by the board about 10 minutes ago. Did you see the news? 

You mean us making out in the parking lot yesterday trending? Yeah, I did. People are especially taken by you grabbing my ass.

You knew Peter keeping his identity secret was important to him, especially after everything he went through…that you both went through…what you all went through. Luckily for you, your identity was never revealed to the world like Peter's was because you never showed your face around Quentin Beck or anyone on that mission. It was a gut feeling you had that both you (and Faceless Peter in your memories) had. Luckily, not many people at the company knew about your identity as a Stark by face only by word of mouth. And nobody knew you as Silk at the company either and you preferred it that way then and you preferred it that way now.

So, you didn't want to force him to tell your friends and family about his identity. That would be unfair to him. But you needed to find a way to tell your friends that you weren't cheating on Peter with Spiderman without telling them that Peter was Spiderman. So you began thinking of different ways to tell them without necessarily lying to them either.

"Peter was cosplaying as Spiderman and testing out his upgraded suit. Spidey didn't mind." Maybe, but maybe not. Peter wouldn’t keep that kind of information from his friends that he tested out Spiderman’s suit and you wouldn’t make him keep that info to himself either. 

"It's a deep fake video." No, that's a lie. That would only make him look like the bad guy. 

"He wanted to test out an upside-down kiss." No, that doesn't help your case at all and would keep making you look like the bad guy. 

"Publicity stunt?" They knew that you were far from that type of person.

"We're poly." Yeah, because that would totally go over well.

You took a deep breath and threw your head back in defeat. You wholeheartedly didn't know what to say. You were at a loss for ideas without being a straight-up liar. 

But then Peter's text took you by surprise. 

We should tell them. 

Your eyes widened when you looked at the screen again.

Are you sure? 

Yeah! It's about time they know. It would be better if they had direct contact with us in case they're in trouble with anything anyway. Plus MJ, Ned, and Celina already know about you. It’s starting to get difficult to keep up with these half-truths we keep throwing around…

But what about Police Captain Stacy and Police Captain Davis? They practically hate us. That could be putting Gwen and Miles in an awkward position, no? 

There was a long pause in between your text which meant he was considering your words. So you took the time to look at Nika who was still looking through the tablet.

"Any luck?" You asked.

"Not yet," she replied, not looking up from her tablet. "But I'll figure it out."

Your phone sounded again.

Luckily for us, they're both stationed in Brooklyn. Plus, I feel bad for keeping this from them. I want them to know everything. 

Like…everything?

Like everything, everything.  If you're okay with it.

You took a deep breath.

Okay. I'm okay with it if you are. But only if you're sure 💕

You both agreed on having a group meeting with your friends in a secluded and safe place, so the Avengers Compound it was. You had taken Celina, MJ, and Ned there a few times before when you were staying there for a while after your trip from Malibu but it's been a while since they've been there. Nika had been there plenty of time considering her job and this would be the first time for the rest of your friends so you expected some oohs and ahs and a lot of gawking, which you didn't mind. 

But first, you had to keep yourself from looking like a cheater first. 

Everyone was there when you finally walked in and you figured Nika, who arrived earlier, was the one who showed them around. Sam and Bucky were coming back from a mission that day and you weren't sure if they were there yet or not. You hoped they weren't for your own sake. You knew they would do everything to embarrass you in front of everybody as they usually do in their brotherly way, especially with you as a hot topic in the news right now. You were surprised they didn’t call you about it. 

Peter was waiting by the door for you when you arrived and you hugged each other tightly and basked in each other for a moment. Your face was buried into his neck and you breathed in the scent of sandalwood and vanilla and safety and he kissed your shoulder and let himself linger there so he could take in your sweet and floral scent. You could hear each other's heartbeats as your senses hummed. 

You made a mental note of a cuddle session later.

After a moment, you pulled away and he cradled your face and stroked your jaw with his thumbs for a moment and searched your eyes to find any signs of your current mood. You searched his back.

"Hey," he smiled softly.

"Hey," you smiled softly back. "How much do they hate me?"

"They… don't hate you."

You looked up at a window where you saw Gwen and Cindy looking out at the both of you. You could tell by their stances that they were in protective mode as they eyed you. You could see your other friends sitting around the table in the conference room in discussion, probably about everything happening. 

 You smiled to yourself. It was nice knowing Peter was in great hands.

"Ready for the big reveal?" 

You nodded in response. "Are you?"

He also nodded. "Yeah, I am. I am a little nervous though. It's not that I don't trust them, I just…don't want them to be upset, you know?"

"I don't think they will be if they don’t hate me for this."

You guys pecked each other's lips after a short moment of silence before walking hand in hand up to the conference room where your friends were. When you arrived there, you couldn't even process everyone's presence before you were met with…

"(Y/N)!!!!!" Celina screamed in a high-pitched voice as she stomped over to you. You winced as her voice rang in your heightened hearing ears. "Explain yourself!" 

"Celina-"

"How could you do that to Peter?! This sweet boy?! Who loves you so, so much and would do anything for you?! Oh god, please tell me you have a halfway good reason for this-"

"Celina," you sang but she didn't hear you.

"I know you like, have this thing for Spiderman and all but THIS?!"

"Celina, please-"

"Poor Peter," you could've sworn she was crying. "I don't understand…were you possessed? OMG does Spiderman actually have that mind control powers that were rumored years ago?! Did he take advantage of you-"

"Peter is Spiderman!" You blurted out loudly from getting fed up that she wouldn’t let you get a word in. 

There was a long silence and Celina's face was in pure shock. Everyone else besides Nika and MJ was just as shocked.

"HUH?!" Celina finally squeaked. "OH MY GOD REALLY?!” Her eyes flashed to Peter who pursed his lips into a thin-lipped smile of confirmation.  “NO WAIT THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT!"

 "Yeah, I figured this out long ago," MJ said calmly. "Halloween confirmed it for me."

Your eyes narrowed at your curly-haired best friend and you crossed your arms and stood in contrapposto. "You've been sitting on this for five months?"

"Well, I was only sixty-five percent sure," she explained. "On Halloween, I was ninety percent sure, but I still didn’t want to assume and make things awkward. Now I'm a hundred percent sure."

“You know,” you started squinting at her. “Maybe you should actually use your degree and become a PI or something.”

Celina’s eyes were switching from you to Peter repeatedly as if she was trying to solve a problem. Meanwhile, you looked at your other friends.

"You're Spiderman?" Gwen asked with her eyebrows furrowed like she was processing what was being said. 

"Um…yeah!" Peter squeaked nervously and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Like actually?" Miles asked. "Like…not just the Spiderman in the video? Like, you're the Spiderman?"

"Mhm," Peter nodded. “In the flesh.”

Gwen crossed her arms over her chest. "This is one hell of a way to find out…"

"I'm sorry," Peter's shoulders dropped slightly. "I wanted to tell you guys but I wanted to protect you guys but it's gotten to a point where I couldn't keep it to myself any longer."

"Wait so if you're Spiderman what about you and Silk-" Gwen turned to look at you with wide eyes and realization. You waved your fingers at her with a small 'hi' and a confirming look. "Oh….!"

"Wait,” Pav started. “You’re Silk?”

“Yep,” you responded. “In the flesh.”

“I kinda figured that one,” Harry replied. “I was there when you got bit by the spider, next thing you know you were disappearing and Silk would appear. You two were never in the same room at the same time. But I also wasn’t sure and didn’t want to assume. Life can be weird like that sometimes.”

“You’ve been sitting on this for over five years?!” You exclaimed, narrowing your eyes at Harry. “You two are meant for each other.” You were referring to him and Michelle.

“Ditto,” Harry responded, referring to you and Peter. 

“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back up,” Ned interjected. “So if Peter is Spiderman…how come you didn’t know who he was until like…seven months ago? You both are Avengers, no?”

You and Peter looked at each other hesitantly not knowing where to actually start in the clusterfuck that was your situation. You had told so many people different things that you almost couldn't keep up. Now that it was coming to a head, you didn't know who knew what about who or what anymore. 

Good thing the air was about to get cleared. 

You chewed your lip as Peter crossed his arms over his chest.

“That…is a long and complicated story,” Peter started. “It’s all my fault really.”

“Care to share with the class?” Gayatri motioned her hands to everyone after a mini moment of no response or continuation. 

You let out a sigh. “We should start at the beginning, otherwise it could get very confusing."

So you told them everything.

 You told them how you both got bit on a school trip to Alchemax during your freshman year. You were at Horizon High with Harry and Peter was at Midtown Tech with Ned and Celina. The spider bit you first and you flung it off of your arm which caused it to land on Peter and bite him and he killed it. You explained how you both developed your powers the next day and how you would get stuck to things, sweat like crazy, had muscles you never had before, heightened senses, and quick reflexes.

You told them how you told your dad right away that something was wrong and Dr. Cho and Dr. Banner ran tests on you and found out that the DNA from the spider bite had spliced with yours to make you part spider. Peter explained how he kept his secret from everyone for a solid six months before Tony showed up at his door one day. 

You told them that when you switched schools your sophomore year was when you met each other and your senses only started going off when you made physical contact with each other. 

You told them about the fight in Germany and how when you guys got back you spent most of the time trying to stop Peter from taking on missions too big for him which ended up with him wanting to prove himself even more and it caused both of you to get your suits taken away. 

You told them how you two found out about each other's identities and how you guys got together as a couple.

And finally, you told them about the senior trip to Europe, Mysterio, and his antics, and the aftermath where Peter had to make everyone forget who he was.

"And I still don't remember him fully," you said. "just bits and pieces that used to give me mind-splitting migraines."

Your friends all had different expressions on their faces, all a mixture of shock, concern, and confusion. 

"Okay, paraphrase," Gayatri started. "You both got bitten by the same spider on a field trip, you guys both become spiderheroes and avengers later on, you both find out about each other and fall in love, you guys go on a trip to Europe and get summoned by SHIELD then find out Mysterio was a fraud and then tried to pin everything on Spiderman and revealed his identity which caused you to be a suspect and the most talked about person globally and prevented Celina, Ned and MJ from getting into college so you went to a sorcerer to make you everyone forget that you were spiderman but you accidentally messed up the spell which caused a rift in the multiverse and brought villains from other worlds to ours who you tried to fix but they ended up killing your aunt-"

"Only one. Norman Osborn. A different Norman Osborn."

"...okay, and so Ned accidentally brought over two other Peter's from different worlds who helped you fight these villains but in order to save our universe from collapsing you had to make everyone forget about you?"

"Yep, sounds about right." 

A thick silence fell over all of you as everyone took the time to process the information given to them.You took the time to open up your holographic files to explain to them how this whole situation was.

"Let's try it this way," you started and grabbed everyone's attention as you drew your fingers across the holograms. "This is me. This is Peter," two stick figures show up, one male the other female. "This is us before the spell but then," you drew a line in between the two stick figures, "the spell happens," you point to stick Peter, "he's fine because he remembers everything. The only thing he suffers with is missing me on a deeper level," you point to stick you "me on the other hand, my senses were trying to connect back with his and my dreams were me trying to remember him. My body, mind, and soul had a big disconnect because of the spell which caused the mind-splitting headaches. But when we kissed my senses recognized him but my mind still doesn't remember him because of the spell."

You looked back at your friends who all still had confused looks on their faces. Celina's expression was slightly less confused due to her knowledge of how convoluted magic and sorcery could be. Everyone else was more or less looking at you like you were insane.

"Okay you all must have questions," you took a deep breath and leaned back onto the table.

Pavitr raised his hand. 

"Yes, Pav," you smiled.

"Okay," he started with an unsure draw in his tone. "Don't take this the wrong way but…how do you know that your 'pheromonal connection' isn't the sole reason for your attraction to each other? Like if you guys didn't have it, would you two even be in love?"

"We questioned that too," Peter responded. "Very early on actually. Finds out the shared DNA makes already established bonds stronger and will adapt to that if the relationship were to change. So like friends become best friends, siblings get the twin instincts," he looked at you,  "and lovers become…"

You smiled softly back at him as love flashed in both of your eyes for a moment before you turned back to your friends.

"We went back to Alchemax for a project for our junior year bio class, but it was really an excuse to learn more about our connection," you explained. "Plus, I had a crush on him way before I even got close enough to him to even feel the pull."

"And vice versa," Peter added.

"Okay, I have a question," Harry started with a worried look on his face. "You said one of the bad guys was my dad in another universe, does that mean my dad…?"

You shook your head. "No, there's no guarantee."

"But there's a possibility?" It came out more like a statement.

"To be fair, In Peter 3's universe Gwen is dead," Peter stated. “So that’s a start of the differences and inconsistencies.”

"Huh?!" Gwen exclaimed with wide-blue eyes. 

"I don't even exist in the other two," you added. "At least, I don't think so."

"That's terrifying! Wait, am I gonna die?!"

"Likely, not," you added. "Gwen 2 was dating Peter 3 Spiderman."

"Wait, I dated Peter? Ew! No offense, Parker, but I don't see you like that," Gwen explained.

"Trust me, none taken," Peter agreed. 

"Wait, so who was Peter 2 with," Ned asked. 

"Um…" Peter rubbed the back of his head nervously. "MJ." 

"MJ?" Cindy asked in disbelief.

"I think I'd rather eat dirt," MJ replied.

"Trust me, likewise," Peter agreed again.

"Either way," you interjected. "Nothing in their universe is guaranteed to happen in ours. They don't even have the Avengers in their universes. According to Peter, the other Peter's didn't even look like him or each other."

Celina hesitantly raised her hand.

"Yeah, Celi?" Peter asked.

"You said you're Ben and May Parker's nephew that they raised," she looked at Peter as she started, a sheepish tone in her voice. "That means we must have grown up together."

Peter nodded. "Raised like siblings. You were like a younger sister to me even though you're four months older than me. You would celebrate your birthday in August because it was cheaper for us to have a shared birthday party rather than separate ones. Everyone thought you were an August baby like me but really you're an April baby which, you would say, astrologically, is the reason we got along so well."

Celina smiled softly back at him. "I suspected when I found out your last name was Parker, but I thought it was a mere coincidence. I'm sorry I can't remember you." 

"No," Peter shook his head in disapproval. "I'm sorry I made you forget me."

"So that means you knew Ned too right?" MJ started. 

"Yeah," Peter nodded again. "Best friends since the third grade."

"Is that why you came to the coffee shop a lot?" Ned asked.

"Yeah. It was a sense of normalcy," Peter explained. 

There was a moment of tense silence as everyone processed everything that was going on. Harry glanced over at Nika who was leaning silently against the table. 

"You've been really quiet over there," Harry said to her. “Nothing to say?”

"Listen," she started with a sigh. "We were all part of the blip. Either you disappeared for five years or you didn't. I'm just not surprised by anything anymore. None of this really applies to me because I met (Y/N) in Malibu in rehab."

"Wait, you were in rehab?" Harry asked, looking at you.

"Yeah, if your superhero-known-to-be-invincible dad died in space by sacrificing his life for humanity, and your boyfriend sacrificed his identity for humanity that caused you to have mind-splitting migraines and dreams of a guy without a face and it left an empty hole in your soul, and you lost most of your crime-fighting family, and you were just crowned the next CEO and Owner of a company so large that it's responsible for majority of the technology in the world and is expected to make mega weapons to keep our world safe from aliens, wizards and robots then you'd probably have a hysterical psychotic break and turn to narcos, alcohol and make a bunch of bad decisions too."

"Fair," Harry replied softly after a moment of processing the longest sentence you ever spoke.

"So…" Miles started, looking at Nika. "You knew they were Spiderman and Silk?"

"Yep," Nika confirmed. "She told me she was Silk long ago. Figured out Parker was Spiderman when she called him an Avenger and I didn't recognize his face."

"You cornered me!" You defended. 

"Mhm," Nika replied with doubt written all over her face and in her tone. 

After a moment, all of you fell silent again and their air was thick with something that wasn't tension but was filled with anticipation of sorts. Your friends looked at one another as if they were speaking telepathically or waiting for someone to address the elephant in the room. 

You knew what it was right away. 

"Okay, for one," you started. "No we don't lay eggs, We can't talk to spiders or summon an army of spiders, we aren't venomous, and no if we ever had offspring, they wouldn't eat me. Or Peter."

“Tha-...That’s six things,” Peter softly said, which caused you to stick your tongue out at him.

"Do you shoot webs out of your ass?" Gwen blurted with her whole chest.

Both you and Peter blinked rapidly in response as you processed the nature of the question.

"Gwen?!" Cindy scolded her with a flabbergasted expression.

"What?" Gwen asked defensively. "It's a valid question."

"It's a little outta pocket," Miles added before turning to the two of you with a wondrous look. "But do you though?"

"No," you replied quickly with offense or defense in your tone.  

"I've had nightmares though," Peter added, speaking to no one in particular before he looked up at everyone. “We’re sorry we kept all of this from you.” 

“You know everything I said about Spiderman before was a joke right,” Cindy asked gingerly. 

“Don’t worry about it,” Peter replied, motioning a hand in the air.

“Like, I was totally kidding,” She added with a red face. “I think Thor is hotter anyway. Aish, I mean-”

“Cindy, really it’s fine,” Peter smiled. “I get it. We don’t have to do this.”

“Okay, great,” she sighed and looked down at her hands shyly. 

“So…” Harry started looking up at the both of you. "Are you gonna show us your cool abilities or what?"

Social Media was a suspool. There were arguments up and down Twitter about who Spiderman should and shouldn’t be with. You didn't even realize the Spiderman and Silk fanbase ran so large in the first place since you were really heroes only confined to New York City.

Peter avoided social media at all costs. You on the other hand, were neck deep into it.

You learned that there were four types of stans: the SpideyStark shippers, the Iron Spider Shippers, the Stark is Silk theorist and the possessive antis. And they were all at war with each other.

"How does it feel to be dating a whore and bitch?" you asked Peter amusingly not looking up from your phone. 

You both were lying on your bed at the compound. You were wearing a science pun shirt that you borrowed (stole) from Peter and a pair of black drawstring short shorts. Peter was lying next to you wearing a Star Wars tee and a pair of plaid pajama pants with his stark specs on. 

You didn't catch the way he looked over at you as if he were offended (which he was). "You're not a whore or a bitch," he stated seriously. "Stop reading those."

"Why?" You asked, still not looking up from your phone. "They're kinda funny honestly."

You honestly found most of it amusing but Peter didn't appreciate the way some people spoke about the both of you. Especially you. Even on patrols, people were questioning both of you about your relationship and the infamous kiss in the Avenger’s Tower parking lot. He did admit that you handle it pretty well though. When someone would ask ‘Hey Silk, how do you feel about Spidey cheating on you?’ You would respond with ‘Who said he’s cheating on anyone? What he does in his personal life is his business and his business alone.’ Which made it vague enough to satisfy most people who asked. But even after a while, Peter could tell that even you were getting annoyed by all of the questions, comments, and two cents when you were just trying to be a neighborhood hero. 

It reminded him of when his identity was first revealed and how you got the worst end of the stick when it came to everything. 

Peter let out a sigh. "Are you amused or are you doom-scrolling?"

You paused and looked up at him wondrously as you noticed his tone was getting more and more bothered as the conversation went on. "Petey, love," you scooted closer to him and laid your head on his extended arm. "Are you okay?" 

He glanced back over at you and turned himself on his side to face you. "Yeah, I'm sorry. It just makes me upset when people talk bad about you like that. I know it shouldn't bother me this much especially when you're not upset by it but…when my identity was first revealed, people talked about us a lot, obviously. You got harassed by tons of people because you were known as 'Spiderman's girlfriend' or 'Spiderman's…'' he trailed off for a moment as his jaw clenched at the memories of how wrongly you were treated and the labels they would pin on you. "I just don't want you to go through that again."

Memories of the words Spiderman’s slut and Spidey’s whore from Mysterio extremists rang through Peter’s head. Or how the media painted him to be some type of mind-controlling villain. He could take all the shots thrown at him but when it came to you? He knew you could take care of yourself and that you were more than capable of defending yourself, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t hesitate to help in defending your honor. There were times when he tried to distance himself from you so you wouldn’t get caught up in being a victim of tabloids and media outlets, but you never left his side. You even scolded him when he found out what he was trying to do. 

You smile and peck his lips softly. "You're cute when you're protective. Well…you’re always cute, but especially when you’re pouty like this."

Peter’s eyes softened as he looked into yours. “I just…you mean everything to me. I don’t want this to affect you in a negative way.”

"And here I thought, you would be worried about your identity being revealed again," you smiled. "Instead you're worried about my reputation. Pete, if the public wants to label me Spiderman's slut then I don't care. If they want to paint me out as the homewrecker of Spidey and Silk, let them." You stroke his cheek with your thumb gently. "You know that quote from Christian Bale? 'If you have a problem with me, text me and if you don't have my number then you don't know me well enough to have a problem with me'. I'm damned if I give a damn what other people outside of my loved ones say about me or to me. As long as I'm with you, all of the shit they throw at me is all worth it. I'd scream from the rooftops that I, (Y/N) Stark aka Silk, am in love with Spiderman." 

Peter's eyes softened at your words and he laid his hand over yours that was on his cheek and kissed your palm. Your heart fluttered and you leaned in and kissed his lips softly and he kissed you back. He visibly and audibly relaxed which caused you to let out a soft giggle. You pulled back after a moment. 

“Better?” you asked.

“Not quite,” he replied, looking at you. “I’m still like...really upset. I think I need more to help me feel better.”

“Oh?” You giggled and moved yourself to straddle yourself on top of him as he laid back on the bed. You leaned down and pecked his lips. “How about now?”

“You’re getting warmer,” He smirked. 

You hummed and kissed his nose, forehead, temple, cheek, jaw, chin, and everywhere else on his face that wasn’t his lips which caused him to let out a warm laugh. You leaned your head on his after a moment and cradled his face in your hands. 

“How about now,” You asked in a soft voice. 

He leaned up and pressed his lips to yours deeply and you reciprocated the action. His hands find their way to your waist as he pulls your body closer to his and wraps his arms around you in a sweet embrace to match with the passionate kiss you both were sharing. Your heart fluttered and face burned at the action. After a moment he pulled away slowly.

“Much better,” he whispered before he rolled you both over so he was on top as he kissed you deeply. 

Peter had the day off from school and work which was a rare occasion. He decided to spend his morning visiting Aunt May and Uncle Ben's grave 

Celina and Ned had invited him over to hang out and get to know more about the time that they don't remember having with him. 

Honestly, he felt like a huge weight was lifted from his shoulders now that his friends knew the whole truth about the both of you and that they didn't think anything different of the two of you. Gwen and Harry still playfully bullied Peter which was a good indicator. Cindy was a little distant at first but she came back around after a couple of days of processing. 

Now you both had to deal with everyone sending SpideySilk Memes in the groupchat. Your favorite had to be the stock photo meme with the guy walking with his girlfriend and he's looking back at another woman, with spiderman as the guy, silk as the girlfriend and you as the girl he's looking at. 

You insisted to Peter that things would blow over eventually and that you both could go back to normal and learn from your mistakes. Nika was still investigating who leaked the video. It was harder than it seemed to find the person who did it. 

Peter was glad no one heard the conversation you both had during that whole moment. And he was glad that everyone in the Avengers Tower had to sign NDAs upon hire about revealing the personal details about any Avengers. So if anyone in the Tower knew Peter was Spiderman, they couldn't say anything legally. Luckily, most times he showed up in full suit.

Peter decided to skateboard his way to Nedlina's apartment to keep lowkey. Swinging in suit while you both were still a hot topic wasn't the greatest idea right now and he even had to double-check before entering his own apartment. He settled with landing on the roof and sneaking through the roof doorway and down to his floor a few times when he was feeling extra paranoid that day.

What a week it had been. 

When he arrived at the apartment complex he walked inside and went over to the elevator that was fixed by himself using Stark tech that you let him borrow. The landlord was so thankful that he even paid Peter more than he expected to get paid for it (which was nothing really). He was really doing a favor but the landlord insisted he take the money. When he stepped into the elevator he heard a meow and little pitter-patter footsteps. When his eyes followed the sounds he saw Loki the cat, who approached him. He smiled as the cat trilled and rubbed its side against his jeans and began purring. 

“Hello, Loki,” Peter greeted. 

The dark shadow of fur meowed in response and climbed up onto his shoulder and made himself comfortable. Peter smiled softly as the elevator doors closed and began moving upward. 

“Does your parents know that you’re down here?” He reached up and petted the cat who rubbed its head against his hand. “No worries, I’m sure Celina won’t scold you too harshly.”

When the elevator stopped at the eleventh floor, Peter made his way to the apartment down the hall. When he arrived the door opened before he could knock. Celina stood in the doorway wearing an oversized tee shirt that he recognized as Ned’s, a pair of biker shorts, and her hair up in a messy bun with her wavy bangs framing her face. She smiled at a frozen Peter who had his fist in the air to get ready to knock on the door. 

“Peter!”Celina chimed. “It’s good to see you!”

“Hello, Celi,” He smiled and lowered his arm.

Loki took the time to jump down from Peter’s shoulder and rub against Celina’s legs. 

“Mhm, trying to butter me up so you don’t get in trouble I see, you little troublemaker,” she said looking down at the bundle of fur and petting his back with her foot. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”

Peter chuckled as he walked in, took his shoes off by the door, and set his skateboard next to his shoes. Celina hugged him and then led him into the living room area as Thor came running out to greet Peter as well. 

“Ned, babe,” Celina sang. “Peter’s here.”

Ned walked from the hallway and smiled.”Hey, dude!”

“Hey, Ned,” Peter smiled. “How’s it going?”

“Pretty good,” He replied as they did a mini handshake that was the start of their famous secret handshake. “I always feel like there’s more to it when we do that.”

“There is,” Peter said. “But It’s okay. One day you’ll remember it.”

“We ordered pizza,” Celina called from the kitchen. “It should be here soon. Would you like anything to drink?”

“I’m okay for now,” Peter called back and sat on the couch with Ned. 

Celina came over and joined Peter and Ned on the couch with a mug of tea that read “witch’s brew” on the front of it. Peter sat on the other couch adjacent to the one the couple was on. The cat decided they wanted to snuggle up to him. 

After a little bit, the pizza arrived.  As Ned flipped through the channels on the TV to find something to watch, Celina was grabbing plates and napkins while Peter went to get the pizza from the delivery guy. When he came back he saw Celina looking at her phone with a concerned look on her face as she slowly brought her hand up to cover her mouth gaped open as her hazel eyes went wide. 

“Hey, what’s wrong?” Peter asked as he approached her and set the pizza down on the counter.

Her eyes flashed up to him with a look that worried him.

“Hey…guys…?” Ned asked with concern in his voice.

Peter walked over to the living room with Celina following close behind. Ned was standing up in front of the couch with wide eyes and a concerned expression on his face. When Peter looked at the screen it was the Daily Bugle with J. Jonah Jameson on the screen.

“J. Jonah Jameson here and this just in on the Daily Bugle,” The older man said on the screen. “(Y/N) Stark, so-called America’s Sweetheart, is now caught up in yet another scandal. Earlier this week she was caught in 4K messing around with none other than our favorite criminal psychopath, Spiderman, which took the entire world by storm that not even Thor could control. Since then neither party has spoken out publicly about the incident as if they are trying to pretend that it never even happened. Way to be an accomplice to the Vigilante with your status, Stark. You can’t blame her though, she’s the daughter of the late Tony Stark who was Iron Man, so it is no surprise that she would be fadoodling with the likes of some miscreant like Spiderman. But what am I doing here talking about old news? Well Let me tell you, folks, we received here a video of America’s so-called Sweetheart being anything but!”

A video clip appeared on the side of the news reporter’s head and the clip made Peter’s eyes go wide and his heart drop to his stomach. Celina and Ned both looked at Peter with fearful expressions on their faces. Peter felt lightheaded as he watched the clip of you in a very compromising situation. The pace of his heart picked up, the feeling of his body going numb and his throat tightened. 

He was pretty sure he was going to faint. 

As the clip continued to play, J. Jonah Jameson continued. “It seems that the secret double life of (Y/N) Stark has been revealed. Can’t keep silent now can you?”

“Oh my god…” was all Celina could say. 

“I-I…” Peter stuttered. “I-I…need to go…”

He needed to make sure that you were okay and that you were safe because he knew that in a matter of minutes, you would be back in the place where he feared you would be again years ago when he was exposed to the world.

And now something similar was happening to you.

Ah yes hello person that I definitely do not know, who definitely didn't see me say I could write an essay about this very subject on discord LMFAO

I'll put the actual essay under a cut for people who don't want to scroll through my Many Feelings about these two lol As a TLDR to your questions:

Yes I ship them, but also Yes it's up to circumstance! Yes I consider their canon ages/the age gap (which most visibly manifests in me only drawing them platonically if I'm drawing Zack as a Second/with the puppy hair, or writing a fic taking place during CC)! I was actually into Aeriseph first and stumbled into ZackSeph fics, and realized it was a similar dynamic, but with someone who spent time with Seph canonically before he went bananas! All of this was before CC came out and I've been loving these characters for 20+ years!

To borrow a phrase (from crylin iirc), honestly, I like just seeing them standing next to each other, romantic or no LMAO <3

NOW, FOR THE ESSAY.

So to expand on what I said earlier, I think it's obvious from my blog and ZS server that I ship these two LMAO That said, the way I ship them is based heavily on the era of fandom before CC was a thing. I got into FF7 around 2002 (possibly earlier, I just don't have the dates on drawings that old), five years before CC came out. At the time, we knew next to nothing about Zack beyond the very short clips of him in OG. So, fandom did what fandom does best, and tried to fill in the blanks!

Some of the efforts to figure out who Zack was went all the way down to his name, because it's Zakkusu in Japanese. So you'll see him as Zax, too - There were heated debates on whether to use Zack or Zax. And no last name! Fandom had to come up with surnames themselves. We also didn't have much of a reference beyond his polygon model, which seemed to have darker skin and, (as many fics described it) violet eyes. It was also assumed that, since he was a First who worked closely with Sephiroth, he was probably around Sephiroth's age. You likely already see where I'm going with this, laying all that out lol The Zack I draw and write is very much based on that time period, and if I'm honest, that's the character I really ship with Seph. I still joke in my fics sometimes that Zack's last name might be Donovan or Darklighter, etc., which are old fandom surnames!

Now, obviously CC came out and threw all this on its head, because we finally got a whole GAME about this (important!) minor character. I have many beefs with CC's writing and Square's insistence that so many of their characters need to be child prodigies (they can't ALL be prodigies, Square!!!). With Zack going from an assumed early 20s to suddenly being 16, and all the craziness of CC's plot, the way I approached the ship changed as well.

This is where I would firmly say my stance is: I don't think Seph had any interest in Zack romantically, in CC. Because that's a kid lmao If I'm engaging with the Compilation as a whole, I definitely lean way more into the mentor/mentee relationship for the two of them. As a personal rule, I only draw them platonically if Zack's got the puppy hair, because that was the most obvious visual cue I could think of that could draw that line between Zack's teen years vs. adult. If Seph managed to not go insane, then yeah, later in life I could still see them getting together! But clearly that's already AU territory lmfao

Ultimately, what I like best about Zack & Seph is how they treat each other (while Seph is still sane lol). That goes for platonically and romantically. Zack is so genuine and kind, and treats Seph the way he always wanted to be treated - like he's human. He can joke around with Seph in a way most people simply can't. Meanwhile, Seph treats Zack's feelings with respect, even during the times he's laughing at Zack for being ridiculous. He's also honest with Zack. He answers truthfully when Zack asks what's wrong, and it's clear that it's because he knows Zack is not a threat; Zack will take Seph's feelings seriously, too. I can enjoy the drama of the trauma and heartbreak that comes with Sephiroth's descent into villainy, but my favorite stuff definitely involves a lot of Nibelheim fix-it fics lol

Despite all the changes CC made to Zack and his relationship to Sephiroth (RIP Second in Command Zax Donovan/Darklighter/Knightblade, my beloved), their actual dynamic with regard to how they treat each other stayed, miraculously, intact. That's the real reason they're still my favorite characters, and how my enjoyment of FF7 has remained as strong as it is after literal decades. Square can retcon as many things as they want in the Compilation, but they'll never stop me from making art and fic of the characters I grew up with. Unless I get a C&D for some reason LMFAO Until then, I'll keep enjoying my AUs (and if anything, I have even more reason to enjoy them now that AUs themselves are canon - you bet your ass I'll be in the AUs where ONLY OG happened and I can ignore everything else LOL)

my favorite fics that i wrote and why

So, first I'll explain. I'm gonna being reccing my own fics which I'm not super sure how to do cause I mostly just yeet shit on ao3 and let the fates decide, and I'm never sure what's like, too much? Like I see other people rec their own fics and I'm like (O O) how do i do that. Like idk why I have this resistance to like, telling people that I like my own fics? So today I said fuck that, everyone's gonna know now.

And I've just been doing not so hot recently for a number of reason and I figured like, I've been obsessing over so much, why don't I get to be excited about the good things? So anyway, these are my favorite fics that I've written, not just the ones that have done the best or whatever, just my personal favorites, so without further ado...

First up is sorry that i can't believe anybody really starts to fall in love with me , don't ask why the name is so long I just like the song lmao. This one's special to me cause it was my first KPTS fic. Is it the best? No. Does it have a super deep meaning? Nope. But it's cute and it's mine so I love it. Next!

the imperfect art of making it. Very self indulgent. I wrote this for the endorphins fic fest which gave me the motivation to write, but really I just loving transing my characters, and soft KimChay deserves lots of love.

Next up, do you look up to the sky? My first whumptober fic and the first one I wrote bc as soon as I looked at the prompts I was like "oh Kim's getting locked in the fucking basement for sure" and then he did! Success. Also KimChay are a pstd4ptsd couple, I won't be taking questions at this time.

This is getting longer than I thought it was gonna be but fuck it, I told myself I was doing this to remind myself why I like writing and that I do actually enjoy it so the longer the better tbh bc it means I really do love it. It's not a bad thing if all of my fics have a special place in my heart, right?

Ok last of the non dead dove ones is i should have kissed you. I don't exactly have a reason, I just think it's a good fic.

chay and kinn and chay. This thing is my baby. I love him with my whole heart. I wrote him in discord messages on my walk to and from classes. This is one fic that I would not be ashamed to say I've read several times over. This is the fic that I think of when people say "write the fics you want to read." This was also a spite fic which makes all of that even funnier lmao

Willow Dancin' On Air. This one's not dead dove but it is KimVegas so eh. But this is another fic I wrote purely for myself. I just wanted some fluffy lil somethin somethin and now every time I listen to this song I think of this fic

Ok last one, Why minors shouldn’t gamble. This one also started on discord and was written in my notes app at like. 9 am while I was still in bed lmao. Because that's where inspiration peaks. And it's hot idk. omegaverse will never not be be a special interest of mine, hopefully one day we can find out what happens when Kim joins the party, I'm genuinely curious.

OK! So. That was something. Tbh I feel a lot better lmao. My therapist would be so proud of me if I ever told her I write fanfiction pff. Normalize reading your own fics over and over. I'm saying that directly to myself cause I see all these like motivational things about writing and then I don't believe them, what's that about?? Doing this reminded me that I actually like the things I create, highly recommend. Now I'm gonna get myself a glass of water cause for the next maybe 12 hours I'm changing my life!!
