the irony of one the first main things established about omori as a character is that he's known for his great memory as if he hasn't lost the entire fucking plot repeatedly for years.
like he has a great memory!! if you don't take into account He's Actually The God Of Repression.
#replaying the game aggaaaiinnnn#now with full appreciation for foreshadowingggg#omori#omori spoilers#raven rambles#.....should probably have like a tag specifically for playing incase people wanna block it lmfao#raven plays omori#fr though he has a great memory until he forgets minor details like he was designed to help sunny forget everything#goddddddd it kinda makes you wonder though how much of it he's aware of#it's implied he still remembers basil after deep well. but I dont know if he's aware he's actively causing everyone else's#memory of him to disappear. like yeah yeah deep well is designed to make him forget too. he set himself up#to make sure sunny never reached blackspace. the loop resets if they fail. if they die#but the whole branch coral dialogue makes it seem like yes. omori is still very aware of basil's existence.#I have a lot of thoughts on deep well.#and especially omori not really realizing he's the one sending basil to blackspace because in past loops it was stranger who confronted him#his guilt of leaving basil is the one thing still tying sunny to the real world. mari is dead. he can't do anything about that except forge#basil is still alive.#as long as he remembers that basil exists#he will keep unknowingly dragging himself back to blackspace. blackspace would stay hidden if stranger wasnt haunting him lmao#he starts the loop by sending him there and then follows through on it by searching for him because he's not yet aware its his own fault#idk it's. aaaaaaaaaaaa#the hug in the true ending is everything to meeeeeee#I have a lot of thoughts about blackspace too but not right nowww thats an essay for much laterrrrr#there's just something about the “deity forgets theyre a deity and rediscovers it later and denies it and forgets again” that kills me#ESPECIALLY WITH THE FUCKING TIME LOOP#and then there's the route additions. he can accept it but he'll try to fight sunny to end it one final time#looooookkkk I'm veryyyy norMALLL ABOUT THIS GAAAAME#hylia and omori remind me of each other in their sort of ignorance of their own power. hylia being the reincarnations of zelda#see it all loops back to just Tropes I Fucking Love#there's a pattern here. do you see the pattern?

PJSK Omori AU
Ichika being Basil is a little too perfect. Polite? Gardener? Insecure? Yikes.
This AU is ROUGHH because I think Saki's dreamscape would manifest the people closest to Tsukasa instead of her friends due to pure guilt and wanting to see him hang out happy around the people he loved most.
Though Ichika is there purely due to the underlying truth of what happened. Saki wouldn't realize it until way later.
Ruikasa as Hero and Mari real btw
Nene in place of Aubrey makes the most sense to be in terms of how brash she is.
Obviously, it's not going to play out like the games. But a lot of aspects are still there.
Nene getting more aggressive, Rui shutting into himself and blaming everyone (and even so himself), Toya being the one who never stop to give Saki space because damn it, he's not about to lose another sibling.
Honami and Shiho being terrified because for once, Ichika and Saki are the ones pushing them away.
This AU is a horrible one and I will cry myself to sleep bc of it.
Wanted to put Emu in but drawing more people in that small space would've killed me.
Read an Omori AU fic where Saki cut her hair mid hysterics and now she looked like Tsukasa. I'm taking that into my canon. Thank you, author, for that horrible horrible angst.
HEAVILY inspired by that fic but also not really?? I got the idea from the fic but I changed so much that it's my own Omori AU at this point

Hii it's Lacey, or as you know me ⭐ anon.
Since its still lovely pride month and I am craving some Andrew and Ashley, I'd like a Ashley and (Sex maniac) Andrew x Demon Female Reader. (Bonus points if she's a succubus)
Like Reader hates everyone except her wife and husband Ashley and Andrew, like she won't put up with anyone's bullshit but Ashley's and Andrew. How I'd describe her personality, is Aubrey and Sunny from Omori, just she speaks more. (LAST TIME I CHECKED YOU KNOW ABOUT OMORI, CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG)
Also since most of things Andrew and Ashley do that aren't federal crimes and having hardcore incest sex is for shock value. Like Ashley would randomly bite Reader, just because she can. (I am noticing a pattern with my requests because they are either being fucked till you can't think of it's fluff but either Andrew or Ashley bite.)
How they met was because Ashley decided with the left over blood of their parents, WHY NOT SUMMON ANOTHER DEMON WHAT CAN POSSIBLY GO WRONG? And so they did, now they are stuck with a hot yet bitchy demon girl that could possibly kill them at any given moment, but the deadliness of Reader just makes her all the more hot.
Poor Andrew. That's all I have to say for him.
-⭐ anon
notes from coff-in: i love non-humans... love love love interspecies romance <3 it's so cool... also trying to squeeze this one out for pride month!
[fem] reader-insert, succubus reader, NSFW, incest
succubus [reader] was really hostile when she was first summoned. she was enjoying her time lazing about in the demon realm, even if it was a little boring, so being summoned to the demon realm by a tar soul was very inconvenient. however, the moment her presence entered the room, the fucking OVERWHELMING FEELING of sexual tension from andrew immediately caught her tension. now THIS was something worth her attention!
we haven't seem specialized demons in tcoaal but most things i've read of succubuses/incubuses is that they feed off of the lust of humans. mix that with RELUCTANT SEX MANIAC ANDREW GRAVES WITH THE UNCOMFORTABLY, UNREASONABLY BIG AND NEEDY ENDOWMENTS??? u get some funny things happening
ashley loves her demon wife who doesn't care of anyone else but her and her brother. she can drag them along to do any silly thing she wants to do without much resistance (not true, if it endangers them then there will be resistance from [reader] and andrew). that's not to mention the sex... it gets freaky crazy
ashley can't last as long as andrew or [reader] (and [reader] just barely feeds on andrew's lust quick enough to have seconds and third rounds with him) the sheets are sticky and torn, andrew uses everyone as a chew toy, and ashley is lavished between them since she likes the attention and they know that. there's a gone wild audio on reddit about tcoaal with andrew and a succubus listener and i think sex would go pretty much like that. god the cock worship, the brat taming, the tail pulling and ass slapping... the darkest depths of degenerate depravity the demon realm can offer!
andrew is... going through it. he relief [reader] gives his is immeasurable, like, omg. he's glad that ashley and [reader] get along, since she sort of dictates who they can and can't interact with in their relationship. in fact, having [reader] around has brought a sense of security for andrew and ashley since even though she's great at oral, she's also good at killing their enemies :) deadly and dangerous, nothing hotter than that <3 <3
she's pretty quiet when she's not moaning their names like a bitch in heat in bed, but they don't mind it too much. once she got used to her place in their lives, she started teasing them on their journey of living their lives post satanic cannibalism. the wedding proposal was unexpected
i do not know who proposed first, maybe you do, but the wedding was beautiful! andrew and ashley do not have many friends (they only really need themselves and reader <3) so the guest list was empty... maybe besides the entity that has helped them. the venue was beautiful, thanks to [reader] working her demon powers, and ashley's great artistic eye! it was truly a sight to behold! ah... what a wonderful union under unholy matrimony... <3 <3 <3

I don't know if this is a hot take or not, because I haven't interacted with the Omori fandom enough, but I don’t think Kel would forgive Sunny and Basil that easily. I'm not even sure if he'd be the first one to forgive them.
The way I see Kel, he's a very loyal, community-oriented person. He's extroverted, comes from the biggest (and apparently closest) family in the main cast, was the one who made Sunny go out again, and is just overall the glue that holds everyone together and someone who is used to community and friendship and needs these things to feel good.
Mari's death literally took that from him in multiple ways. One friend is dead, the remaining friend group fell apart due to everyone coping so differently, Hero isolated himself and stopped talking to him in the process.
He was the first one to have a birthday after the event, and he spent that birthday completely alone.
I just don't see him taking the revelation that all of this happened because of Sunny and Basil lightly.
There's also the fact that Kel knows how it feels like to have an older sibling who you don't always see eye to eye with, but still love a lot. He has that in Hero just like Sunny did with Mari. This could make him sympathetic towards Sunny and his guilt and grief, but it could also make him more horrified with the whole situation:
"Basil suggested hanging her? And you were okay with it?!"
I can definitely see him trying to face the whole thing with a "What would I do if that was me?" mentality, and coming to the conclusion that Sunny is too cold, because if he was in Sunny's shoes, if he had accidentaly killed Hero, he would never feel okay with lying about it the same way for years.
Ironically, this thought process could also make him more sympathetic towards Basil. Kel is, again, very relationship and community oriented, so maybe he could come to the conclusion that in Basil's shoes, he would also have done anything to protect a friend. He'd still be angry at the lie, though.
Idk, just a thought.
#i really like kel#but he's harder to fully pin down when compared to the others#i think that's why he gets so flanderized#this happens to lots of characters who are kind and positive and the “glue” of their teams actually#suddenly kind and positive are their only traits#and that includes not being allowed to be angry#omori#omori kel#kel omori#death tw#tw death#cw death#death cw

A CRITIQUE OF OMORI, PART 3: MARI AND THE TRUTH
NOTE: Reader discretion is advised. By clicking on “Keep reading”, you willingly choose to continue reading the post.
OMORI spends a considerable amount of time trying to ingratiate you to Mari as a character. In Headspace, she plays a motherly role to Omori and the gang, providing endless positivity and advice to the party whenever they take a break at her picnic blanket; at one point, Kel even begs Hero not to tell Mari about him and Aubrey knocking Basil over the same way a child would beg someone else to not tell their mother after messing up. In the real world, everyone who knew her only ever speaks of her as being kind and gentle, and the official walkthrough guide even calls her “the glue that holds everyone together”.
As wholesome as all of that may seem at first glance, this is one of the main problems with Mari’s writing: the game tries to get you to love her so hard that it comes off as overly aggressive character shilling. For instance, during the second picnic Omori and his friends can have with Mari en route to Basil’s house, Basil wishes to be more like Mari and notes that she always seems to have everything under control, Hero compliments her on how she always makes everything look easy, and Aubrey describes her as "effortlessly graceful". As with Basil summing up each of the characters via flowers, the game spells out the character’s personality for you right at the start rather than allowing you to parse it for yourself over the course of the story.
[Pictured: complex and nuanced characterization.]
[How should I know? I literally just met her a few minutes ago.]
If the shilling had been limited to Headspace, it could’ve been a powerful narrative tool to show how much Sunny idolizes his big sister and foreshadow that his perception of her is unreliable. The problem is that what we learn about her in the real world reinforces said unreliable perception; as with the photo album and the main characters’ childhood, the narrative paints the real Mari as too impossibly perfect of a person to be remotely believable. Not only did she switch beds with her brother when the latter started to have difficulty falling asleep, she also let him sleep with her when he had nightmares, took the blame for him breaking one of their mother’s vases and even saved him from drowning once. She also bought Basil his signature photo album, bought Sunny a giant building block set as a gift for one of his birthdays, carried Sunny back home after he fell asleep on the bus, pitched in along with Sunny's other friends to buy him a violin for Christmas, was the perfect match for Hero and generally served as the group’s caring mother figure in the real world as well. C’mon, love her already!
Of course, such a flawless angel is too good for this sinful earth. That is why, after spending the entirety of its runtime building up to Mari having killed herself due to her own mental issues, the game pulls a last-minute plot twist and reveals that Sunny accidentally killed her by shoving her down the stairs during an argument they had over Sunny breaking his violin on the day of a recital they were to perform at. As evidenced by the datamined text from the “Truth” photo album, the game gives no consideration to Mari’s perspective on the matter and only focuses on Sunny’s feelings. It’s all about how he was overcome, how his fingers were shaking in pain and how he was sick of practicing over and over. How did Mari feel when she saw her brother destroy the fruit of her and his friends’ hard work in one fell swoop? How did she feel being perpetually dissatisfied with the waltz she obsessively practiced, trying to reach the unreachable standards she set for herself? These are questions the game doesn’t bother answering, because Sunny and his feelings are of central priority to the story at all times, even if it comes at the expense of other characters, their own feelings or even logic.
(speaking of logic, the game never explains why Sunny and Mari were arguing at the top of the staircase in the first place. the piano room, which is most likely where the two practiced since Mari's piano is located there, is on the first floor of their house, while Photo of an Argument shows them them having said argument on the second one. peak writing)
Additionally, the story fails to properly establish just how strenuous violin practice was for Sunny. The only bit of set-up for the argument the game provides during the main story is Lost Library's “Saturday morning cartoons” book, which isn’t much and requires the player to make a giant leap from “Sunny doesn’t like violin practice because he misses out on watching cartoons with his friends” to “violin practice physically hurts Sunny and he resents Mari for her perfectionism”. Likewise, the narrative’s prior and consistent portrayal of Mari as flawless is incompatible with the plot twist’s insinuation that she overworked Sunny and was harsh on him when he made mistakes, which makes the twist feel even more inorganic than it already is.
If the game left the twist at Sunny shoving Mari down the stairs, that probably would’ve been enough. However, it subsequently inserts Basil into the scene, him having bore witness to the argument and Mari’s murder. This doesn’t make sense on a logistical level because the game never explains how Basil managed to get inside Sunny’s house and why he was there in the first place. Not only does Basil not try to call an ambulance/find the nearest adult to help, he comes up with a plan to cover up Mari’s murder by framing it as a suicide. Basil’s multi-step plan is not something one would come up with in a situation of high anxiety and stress: it feels nearly premeditated, and at no step of the way does Basil seem to have had second thoughts, like one would if they were acting irrationally. Furthermore, the sheer tonal dissonance created by the fact that Basil of all people came up with an idea this demented isn’t disturbing as much as it is absurd. It reeks of the writer assuming that a topic like murder instantly makes a story Deep and Complex without putting any thought into it, and it seems Basil was written into the twist solely to absolve Sunny of any responsibility for the cover-up.
Finally, the game inadvertently implies that Mari's suicide wasn't investigated properly, if at all. The clues indicating that she didn't hang herself are obvious, such as the fact that she seemingly used a jumping rope and her stockings being clean as opposed to stained with grass and mud from the ground around the tree. Such a break from reality isn't much of a significant problem, but it does become rather conspicuous once you notice it. Fans tend to theorize that Sunny's parents somehow knew the truth and possibly bribed the police into dropping the case, but there isn't enough concrete evidence to support this theory.
The knowledge of the twist is imperative to understanding just how aggressive and transparent the shilling becomes. Some of the most notable moments that explicitly demonstrate what the player is meant to think about Mari include divine light shining down on her grave in the town’s cemetery, her farewell to Sunny at the end of the North Lake segment, where she is briefly shown walking on water, and her brief conversation with Sunny in his house's piano room on One Day Left, where she apologizes to Sunny for “pushing him too hard”, implying that her brother killing her was somehow her fault.
Mari isn’t a character in her own right - she is the quintessential fridged woman, existing purely as the object fueling the main characters’ grief and being important only when the game needs to assure the player that Sunny killing his sister wasn’t much of a big deal. After all, even the person he killed is shown to forgive him for what he did.
Speaking of Sunny, his actions in the aftermath of the incident paint him as rather reprehensible. Not only does he vandalize Basil’s most precious belonging and then leave him alone, but he also chooses to lie by omission to his friends and his parents, letting them believe that they failed her because of the assumed nature of her death as a suicide. On top of all that, the game seems to heavily imply that Sunny blacked out the photos due to Omori’s influence; considering that Omori is apparently meant to be the personification of Sunny’s depression, this reads as a convenient way to absolve Sunny of any responsibility for his horrible actions by making his Evil Mental Illness the culprit.
It’s time to talk about this game’s depiction of mental illness, then.

Here’s my take on the hellhound girlie!
I wanted to tweak her character a bit (and by a bit I mean I snatched her out of Viv’s cold hands and gave her some pizzazz) so here’s my personal take + headcanons on Loona!
Her story begins at the Howling Hearts Youth Shelter in the Pride Ring. It was a hellhound catering orphanage, essentially serving as shelters for hounds who were abandoned by their parents or staying there in the events that their family couldn’t take care of them any more.
The shelter opted to help hellhounds find new adoptive families, from the imps to the sinners to even higher-class families such as demon royalty. This shelter was one of the greatest in the pride ring, as many adoptions were met with success…
Except for one.
This little hellhound girl was more cynical and distant. While her fellow hounds would prefer to play and spend time with potential adoptive families, the little hellhound was a bit more cold and spoke the harsh truth about anyone who tried to adopt her.
The director of the shelter was becoming frantic. This hellhound was nearing 16, and that was the maximum age a hellhound would stay before they would get kicked out and be subjected to the vulgar, harsh world of the Underworld.
On a stormy night, an imp under the name of Blitz burst into the shelter to find a hellhound who could be his bodyguard, a potential companion in his up-and-coming assassination business… but most of all, he wanted to fill the void in his heart by having someone to consider his “child” in a sense.
And the little hellhound girl with her sharp tongue instantly clicked with him. He named her Luna, after the lunar eclipse that happened to take place that night. (Although he misspelled it as “Loona”, but she seemed to like that alternative spelling!)
And so, Blitz and Loona began to recruit two other imps, eventually kickstarting their dream assassination business.
And that’s the story of Loona! I wanted to flesh out her backstory and make it not entirely exclusive to Blitz’s story. We didn’t get her perspective, her story was all about Blitz and *his* essential sad experience.
Mild critique aside, here are some headcanons j have of her!
- She doesn’t really get out much, seeing as she’s at the receptionist desk constantly. Running up the stairs will instantly kill her /j
- It doesn’t help that she has mild anemia, so don’t let her stand up too quickly.
- She’s a scene queen, preferring to thrift and even make her clothing items. Millie gifted her a Kandi bracelet, and she’s never taken it off since.
- She and Octavia crossed paths at a Verosika Mayday concert once. They didn’t recognize each other at first, but soon became fast friends and kept in touch. Octavia occasionally crashes at Loona’s place whenever her Stolas is being… Stolas.
- Loona doesn’t really like dying her “hair”. The last time she did, the office’s bathroom almost exploded. She was able to save it with a half-assed jellyfish haircut, and to this day, Blitz still has the pictures 💀
- I feel like she’d really like the game Omori! Her favorite character is Aubrey 🎀
- Unlike the original Loona, she’s not as mean and violent towards everyone (she’s disgusted at the thought of hurting her father and his employees as a “joke”). She’s more dry and sarcastic. Example;
Blitz: “We’re off to the living world for another totally normal adventure! Loonie, you wanna come along?? :D”
Loona, looking up from her phone: “mmmmmmmm- no.”
That’s it for now! I’m gonna go drink water! It’s been a while since I’ve done that,,
Bye bye 👌

So... Life series winners as Omori characters anyone? Individual ref sheets and more info under the cut :D
Okay SO, for starters I will just say that I am biased towards Scott Smajor and that is why I made him the main character. However, I do believe that in the end he does kind of make the most sense for Sunny considering that everyone else fits better as the other characters imo. Also I used tints of blue instead of black and white bc drawing Scott in black and white just simply feels incorrect.
Anyway, Scar and Pearl are just 100% Hero and Aubrey respectively. A lot of Hero's character revolves around his charming personality, which he uses in headspace to get people to do him favors. I feel like this matches up with Scar's "too charismatic for his own good" schtick that usually happens in the life series.
Aubrey reacts to a negative experience where she was abandoned by IMMEDIATELY lashing out at everyone and becoming a social outcast, hanging out with delinquents. I don't think it's rocket science to see that Pearl, who reacted to negative experiences where she was abandoned by going crazy and lashing out at everyone, matches her character really well.
Going from there, Scott as Sunny makes sense because of his abandonment of Pearl in double life mirroring Sunny's retreat from Aubrey and his friends in how the latter reacted.
Then Grian as Mari because 1) Desert Duo(not necessarily romantic, just in how they are inextricably linked), and 2) He was the first winner and with Watcher stuff I feel like his character is best suited to Mari's role in headspace.
That left Cleo and Martyn as Kel and Basil. These two were the ones I debated the longest, because I feel like they both suit both roles. I went with Cleo as Kel because she's the one who stuck with Scott throughout every life series, like how Kel never gave up on knocking on Sunny's door.
Martyn and Scott were of course the mean gills, and Martyn won through attacking Scott despite all they'd been through together. Basil experienced the trauma with Sunny but still ended up attacking him in his fear. Plus with listener lore I feel like Martyn being the only other person to know the truth makes sense.
Also, whether you look at it in the celestial bodies interpretation(Grian Sun, Scott Stars, Pearl Moon, Martyn Mars, Scar Earth, Cleo Pluto) or tarot cards interpretation(Grian Sun, Scott Stars, Pearl Moon, Martyn Tower, Scar World, Cleo Fool), the omori characters also match up to those.
Sorry that was a lot of explanation for why I linked the specific characters I did. Onto the flowers! Scott as a poppy actually makes a lot of sense even w/out flower husbands, as it's a flower that symbolizes sleep, due to its use in sleeping gas, as well as death, which both match up with how Sunny acted in game.
Pearl is a Datura becuase of its ties to the moon(Moonflowers) as well as its other name(Devil's Trumpet) referencing her Double life character. It is also a very spiritual flower for many cultures, which ties into Aubrey and how she attends church.
Cleo being a succulent feels self explanatory, much like Kel's cactus in game they are easy to take care of and grow under many conditions.
Scar is lavender because of its associations with calming and devotion. Hero acts as the group's peace-keeper, and Scar with this role would do the same. It also has some medicinal properties like soothing headaches and having anti-inflammatory effects, which I feel fits well.
Martyn is a water lily because the season he won was the mean gills season, which I wanted to tie in. Their meaning being rebirth(which also matches the poppy) fits the way that Sunny can only face the truth after Basil nearly kills him. They also symbolize enlightenment, which again aligns with how Basil/Martyn is the only character to know the truth other than Sunny himself.
Grian is the red zinnia because firstly, I wanted him to have a red flower, and secondly its symbolism matches pretty well. Familial love, of course, represents how Mari(Grian in this case) was not only Sunny's big sister, but also acted as a sisterly figure to the other kids. While they are tough flowers, they also symbolize remembrance, pointing towards the death of Mari/Grian. I probably could've kept everyone except Scott and Martyn's flowers the same, but I actually had a lot of fun looking into flower meanings and stuff(sorry if it's not al 100% accurate).
I was honestly surprised with how many parallels I was actually able to find here. This really started as a silly thing I played with in my head because I enjoy both of these medias, but the more I thought about it, the more I went "huh, that actually does make sense", so now here we are.
@easily-distracted-by-fandom , I hope you enjoy the ramble. I also hope that I find more people who know what the heck I'm talking about lmao
Edited in an attempt to make this easier to read instead of big blocks of text lmao

13?! Absurd oh my god I need to pump out a one shot or something. They’re so real
Don’t tell anyone but… beyond beyond is secretly a melon bread fic… they’re canon to me which makes them canon because I wrote fuehehesjsj. They’re not in the tags because it’s genuinely such a small part of this story in which the main plot is about this lovecraftian eldritch horror born from the guilt and denial of your actions so… maybe I should add that and bring that number up to 14… heheheheh…
Basil headcanon
When Basil likes people he drops bags of fresh vegetables at their doorstep, but because he’s full to the brim with anxiety he doesn’t knock on the door or even leave a note. Just. Mysteriously leaves vegetables at peoples houses
Because of this faraway residents have begun joking about “the produce fairy”, nobody knows who it is or why this happens, it’s just that for seemingly no reason at random times a bag of vegetables appears at some peoples doors, and for whatever reason it happens to so,e houses way more often then others
Basil did not mean for this to happen but once the rumor got going he was too scared to say anything so he just lets people think there’s some mystical entity giving them veggies
The only people who are aware “the produce fairy” is Basil are Daphne and Bowen, Polly, and Charlene’s Mom
The Twins know because they actively caught him leaving a bag of tomato’s at their house, Polly figured it out on her own, and Charlene’s mom knows because she’s the only other person in town with a vegetable garden and she runs into him in the garden section of fix-it a lot, the first time a bag of vegetables appeared at her door she immediately was like “oh that nice boy has gifted me some strawberries, how sweet”
This Headcanon is intended to be comedic but that doesn’t mean I don’t believe it with my whole heart
#they DO interact this ain’t just a ‘oh this would be canon!’ thing they are implied alongside sunflower#difference is one is one sided and one is mutual#you’ll never guess which is which…#MASSIVE spoilers for beyond beyond ahead in tags so mutuals if you don’t want them STOP reading but I’m gonna discuss this#basil dies in beyond beyond and his relationships with the people around him affect his arc so much#namely sunny#but mikhael and aubrey and the rest of the hooligans are such a big part of it#they don’t even know each other for the first half of the fic#heck maybe even the first three quarters l#but once they do#i go HAM#the hooligans are such a massive part of sunny and aubrey and basil’s arcs#they’re much keyer characters than usual… I’d even consider them main characters or maybe supporting cast#they aid everyone’s development and they in return aid theirs so everyone has fleshed out relationships#that qualifies as main cast in my mind!!!#anyway. sorry for the massive spoiler bomb please don’t kill me#look basil gets drafted into the fucking military halfway into this fic okay I’m not PLAYING with this man#I am putting him through the WRINGER#and yes that is subconscious compensation for basil gun being taken away um just realising…#he has a rifle and he’s fucking awesome with it#omori#omori basil#omori the maverick

the pjo/omori brainrot have unfortunately come for me at the same time so i'm going to make it everyone else's problem. sorry
soooo... assuming the di angelos were a well-off family (which i think is implied, but don't check me on that), it wouldn't be so far-fetched to believe that bianca would have had the opportunity to learn the piano. and nico, who adores his sister and wants to be closer to her, thinks they can bond if he learns an instrument too, right? but he can't impose on the piano. that's hers. so he takes up the next best thing, something he can play by her side- the violin.
in a hypothetical AU where bianca di angelo doesn't join the hunters, she and her little brother nico spend their time shut inside the big house's piano room, going over the same pieces again and again. to bianca, it's her last connection to her mother, to the life they'd had before the lawyers and the lotus hotel and camp half-blood. to nico, it's a way of desperately trying to bridge the distance he can feel growing between them. to both of them, it's everything.
but it isn't enough.
and so she practices harder and her temper gets shorter and one day she snaps at nico because his violin doesn't sound right, just what aren't you getting, nico? and nico is only ten and just wants to make his sister happy, because everything should be alright as long as they're together- but what was supposed to be a shared hobby has only driven them even farther from each other. you can probably imagine what happens next, right? he storms away from her, maybe to a secluded part of the forest, and relishes in the way his violin shatters against the big rocks when he swings. and bianca is so, so angry and she's coming closer. her face is red and she's shouting at him, and nico does the only thing he can think to do in his panic and frustration- he pushes her. he pushes her into the same rocks that hold the splintered pieces of his instrument and can only freeze in horror as the snap of her neck makes the same sound.
maybe in this universe, he'd also befriended a certain son of apollo a little earlier on. will solace isn't very popular with the other campers- they love pointing out how ironic it is that a son of apollo couldn't play an instrument to save his life and he knows, even if they try to hide it, that his older siblings are embarrassed by him too. but then this enigmatic new demigod shows up, with nothing but his mythomagic cards, his violin, and a big sister who takes will under her wing, and they offer to let him listen to them practice- and all of a sudden, he isn't so lonely anymore.
nico is will's first and closest friend. so when he follows the sound of their argument and sees nico push his sister in a fit of anger, all he can think is nico wouldn't do that to her.
kind, earnest nico, who loved his sister more than anything... couldn't have killed her. it had to be something behind him, and he can't let them punish nico for what SOMETHING else did. will has to help him. everything is going to be okay.
everything is going to be okay, he says when he shakes nico out of his grief-induced stupor.
everything is going to be okay, he tells himself when they steal a coil of rope from the stables.
everything is going to be okay, even as tears blur his vision and he swears that the lifeless body swaying in the wind is looking at them.
he takes nico's cold, shaking hand and lies to himself.
everything is going to be okay.

The Sun Says Hello - Omori fanfic - Part 1
Part 2
Kel walked past Sunny’s house everyday. He’s been doing it for the past 4 years.
Was it silly? Hopeful wishing? Yes.
But he didn’t have to give up hope. Hope that Sunny might just.. peak his head out.. even for just for a moment..
But it never happened.
Every day.
Every morning, every afternoon, every night.
When it rained, when it snowed, when the sun was beating down.
Kel never gave up hope, even when he knew all hope should be lost.
“You know that house down the street?” Whispered a group of kids, Kels classmates. “I hear the kid who lives there is actually a ghost! And every night he leaves the house to stall around. And he eats cats! And rats!”
Kel’s nose scrunched up at the gossiping kids. The story sounded like it was pulled straight from To Kill A Mockingbird. Kel would’ve laughed at how ridiculous it was if it he didn’t have any sense of empathy.
“Hey!” Kel exclaimed. “His name is Sunny! And he’s not some creepy ghost!”
The kids jumped in surprise. “You know him, Kel?”
“Yes! Well.. I did. When we were kids!”
The kids raised their eyebrows. “I heard he killed his sister!”
Kel stood up quickly. “You shut your mouth! Mari.. she..! THAT’S NOT WHAT HAPPENED!”
And Kel ran off with tears in his eyes. He ran to Sunny’s house and leaned against the forever closed door and quietly prayed that Sunny would open it. Of course, the moon never came out to comfort the sun.
That was 2 years ago, when Kel was 14.
Kel found his reaction to have been overdramatic now that he’s older. He knew he should’ve just corrected them and told them it’s not cool to gossip. But Sunny was his friend. How could he have not defended him? Especially since Sunny was so.. traumatized. Lonely..
Kel was making his usual trip around Sunny’s house, but he felt his heart drop down to his stomach.
A For Sale sign sitting at the front lawn.
Sunny.. is moving? No, he couldn’t be.. not when he’s been waiting for so long for Sunny to come outside.
Kel saw Sunny’s mom on the driveway and he ran over to her. “Mrs. Sunny’s Mom!” he exclaimed.
She turned and smiled. “Oh, Kel! It’s so good to see you!” She pinched his cheek. “You’ve grown up so much!”
“Oh, haha.. yes, it’s good to see you too.. um.. is it.. are you.. are you moving?!”
She looked at Kel in surprise and she smiled sadly. “Yes. I.. I think moving will do me.. Sunny.. some good. Start new! Get away from this house..”
Kel clenched his fists and looked down, doing everything in his power to avoid hyperventilating.
“Can.. can you maybe get him to come outside? So we can.. hang out?”
She gave him a sympathetic look and sighed. “I can try. But Sunny.. he just stays in his room all the time, asleep. He’s usually unresponsive. He most likely won’t listen to me if I ask him to.”
Kel looked down to hide his disappointment.
“But..” she said. “I can perhaps try to encourage him. Here.” She pulled out her flip phone and dialed in a number. She put it to her ear and began to leave a message.
“Kel saw our for sale sign and came by,” she said, winking at Kel who quickly straightened up. “He wants to spend time with you. I think it’ll do you some good to say goodbye to everyone.”
She hung up and turned to Kel.
“You’ll just have to wait and see. I’m not even sure if Sunny even checks my voicemails, ha!”
“Do you.. ever actually talk to him..? Or do you just leave voicemails?”
Her eyes widened and she quickly looked away, almost guilty. “Kel, I don’t think that’s really any of your business, sweetie..” She paused and inhaled, forcing a smile.
“I do hope Sunny comes out and you two can hang out. Like the good old days!” She squeezed his shoulder and got in her car and drove off.
Kel watched as her car left and he turned to look up at the second story window. The window that belonged to Sunny’s room.
Just behind those curtains was his best friend. In his room, alone, like he’s been for 4 years.. Kel’s heart hurt at just the idea. What was Sunny doing up there all the time, all alone?
Kel didn’t dare let his head drift off to the paranoid thoughts. He couldn’t think the worse! Letting his thoughts drift to ideas like that would only make him feel even more miserable and guilty.
Don’t worry, Sunny.. he thought, clenching his fists. I’ll keep waiting for you to come outside.. and when you do.. I’ll make your last days here ones to remember!

Do you think you guys can save Sunny?
Hero; "Hey OMORI..."
OMORI; "What do you want?"
Hero; "I just remembered something. Since we're working together to find Sunny...I feel need to confess something I haven't told anyone else."
OMORI; "Is it that important? I'm not your therapist."
Hero; "Could I at least tell you? I won't if I didn't trust you."
OMORI;"...Very well. Go ahead..."
Hero;"Okay..."
Hero; "I'm sorry."
OMORI;"That's it? you're sorry for what? I do not understand what you-"
Hero; "The last time I saw Sunny. When he told us about what happened to Mari...I..."
Hero ;"..."
OMORI;"Oh...I understand now..."
OMORI; "I take your reaction to finding out the Truth was...painful."
Hero; "It hurt, so much more than when we saw her in the tree. It devastated me that she ended her own life for reasons we didn't see in time. I felt partially responsible. I could have helped her. That by failing to see the signs, I failed her. That's why I became a doctor instead of a chef like a dreamed of, so I could help others...I thought I healed up enough to be able to move on and be at least happy."
OMORI; "Then Sunny confessed the that he killed her..."
Hero; "...And having those wounds be opened up again when he told us? I didn't want to believe him at first, I thought; he's suffering from memory loss from last night, he's delusional.' But he insisted it was true, Basil confirmed it too."
Hero; "After he finished telling, I-I don't know what came over me. I must have flown off the handle with him because one moment I was standing there, the next thing I know I'm being pinned to the floor by Aubrey and Kel, the last thing I saw of Sunny was him staring at me from a corner looking scared of me, and what I was going to do...or had already done to him by that time."
Hero; "Aubrey knocks me out. I woke up in the waiting room and I went back to apologize to Sunny, but...he was already gone, he'd left with his mother to go home. I couldn't even bring myself to call his new phone number I was so ashamed of myself for acting that way."
Hero;"Then we find out he was kidnapped. I doubt I'll ever get that chance to apologize any time soon where he is now, wherever he is…"
OMORI; "I see...you are regretful the last interaction you had was violent. I can...relate...to your predicament...feelings can cloud your judgement..."
Hero; "That's why I'm doing this, getting my college buddies to look, calling everyone I know to search for something, anything. And it's not only because I want to say I'm sorry for acting out..."
Hero; "...But because he's like family to us, and he doesn't deserve to be experimented on like an animal. I won't lose another loved one again...even if it kills me."
Hero; "Sunny deserved better is what I'm trying to say...only a monster would want otherwise."
OMORI; "..."
OMORI; "My entire purpose was to protect the Dreamer...and it is still my purpose to protect him...Even if he see's me as a monster. I will still protect as I always have."
Hero; "OMORI."
OMORI; "Yes?"
Hero; "Promise me, please. When we get Sunny back...if we find him-"
OMORI;"...I'll find him..."
OMORI;"I promise, I will save him."

I would love to know your thoughts on Loop and Sif plurality if you wouldn't mind sharing! That was my first thought when Loop mentioned joining together with Sif at the end of the fight, so I'm glad it's not just me.
There's a lot of games that have plural "vibes" that aren't necessarily meant to be representations of plurality and I actively seek out these games LOL ISAT was an accident but it's probably one of my favorite games with fantasy plurality ever. (Dethroned Warframe and Fallen London I think)
I think my favorite thing about Loop is that they feel like a realistic alter to me!! They're a persecutor, in a sense, but not portrayed as like the "evil half". They're never made out to be bad, even when actively trying to kill Sif. Just like Siffren "threw a tantrum" so did Loop. And the way Sif calms Loop down is... emotional to me who has to deal with a lot of meltdowns from alters. The thought of Loop being protector then persecutor and then back to protector is a situation that happens a lot with alters!
The game also doesn't make you pick between Loop or Sif. A lot of games fall into that trope, like Omori. ISAT is very good about helping the player understand Loop and Siffrin, their different and similarities, and see how deep that self-hatred and guilt is. And they need each other to heal. Loop, in helping Siffrin through specific issues, in seeing themselves from the outside, can learn to heal as well.
The ending is ambiguous, which I like, but neither Loop nor Siffrin are forced to integrate, which is a huge issue plural people face in real life. Even if they "join" Loop makes it clear, they're still going to be there! Which feels a lot like normal plurality!
The idea of Siffrin and Loop switching who's fronting is so fun to me. Loop getting excited when they see like Isa or something and accidentally taking front... system chaos. I know people in my system can do that lol
Or Loop can keep their physical body and just travel with everyone and it can still be a fun exploration of plurality, I feel.

Brief character descriptions of the TADITEau
Summary: An AU involving the omori characters. Everything is going the same other than certain areas of religious trauma, mentioned SA, Self-harm, and abortion.
Basil: such a stupid, selfish little girl. She probably liked the way the priest kissed her, held her face, and screamed at her for doing anything wrong. She probably knew it was wrong. It was disgusting and look where it led her. She would rather forget about that time, but the blood of her mistakes is still on her hands even after she tried to erase everything she once was, everything that ever happened. She has so many regrets, but maybe this would never have come to be if she wasn’t such a useless little girl. Aubrey: Aubrey used to be a happy girl, always full of nothing but positive thoughts and good actions. After the incident she changed so much, so much rage inside her. What a doubt now, no wonder her father left her. Nothing but a stupid druggie now, she’d do anything for another fix. Kel: Everybody loves Kel! He's such a kind boy, very caring. He even plays sports and is the kind to buy the losing team flowers. So much hides behind his smile. If only he didn’t keep things bottled up all the time maybe then he would be able to cry, to be vulnerable for once in his life. Mari: Mari. A straight-A student. Always her father's favorite. Who couldn’t adore such a beautiful young woman, the type to hold her books over her tits and give everyone a big hug. She was an amazing older sister, I always thought she should have been a mother. She should have been my mother.
Hero: Who could forget hero? Mari’s perfect Boyfriend. He was an amazing cook, always helping Mari plan picnics for the others. Such a shame that he ended up now, if only Mari never killed herself, they would have had such a bright future ahead of themselves. His mother would have been proud. Sunny: the timid boy, never spoke much. Basil always spoke for him. He often buried himself in the colorful world of colored pencils and crayons. He was a wonderful artist. He should have made a career out of it. Although he never was able to face the truth, haunted by his actions, and locked himself away thinking it was better if he never existed. Everyone saw it coming, it wasn’t a surprise when he succumbed to his mind. Kel took it the hardest. Maybe even Aubrey cared, just a little. Apollo: Reborn anew. He’s no longer the person he once was, buried that girl along with her name so far underground that maggots and bugs now lay over the once delicate basil. He pleaded to be let in, but god denied him access and he was pushed into a rabbit hole darker than his mind. A shell of who he once was, a doll, an evil one full of nothing but malice and greed. He could never be alone though so he dragged everyone down with him in this horrid hell that he now rules. Wallace: He never liked the name, But Apollo did. So he changed, tried to be like him until he lost sense of who he once was. Hair as dark as night, never bothered to cut it, the only thing he ever cut was the paper-like skin he possessed. He never should have gone through that, he was just a child. Even now he's a kid and will forever be bound by a red string to the person he despises most.

loyal - an omori au summary
this is the breakdown of an omori au that i've decided to call the loyalty au, and it's based off of a mixture of ideas that me and my homies (@legendling and @electriczaire) came up with!!
(cw -> murder, omori spoilers, extreme manipulation, mcd)
this is a sort of swap au in which kel accidentally kills hero instead of sunny accidentally killing mari, but there is a twist in the course of events that completely alters the fate of kel and the friend group.
a few days after sunny and mari's recital, kel and hero get into an argument over something silly. but the argument escalates when their parents step in and, as always, take hero's side.
the constant favoritism towards hero finally gets to kel in that moment, and he storms off. hero rushes after him in an attempt to make amends, but kel misinterprets his intentions, and pushes him down the stairs in a fit of anger. hero dies on impact.
just like in the original story, basil is the only one who witnesses the murder. he was at the house for a sleepover. basil comes up with the idea to frame hero's death as a suicide, and he convinces kel to go along with it by telling him that the alternative is kel going to jail and losing all his friends. kel agrees.
but two weeks later, at hero's funeral, kel can't handle lying about something so huge, seeing mari blame herself, seeing the group start to fall apart. so he comes clean. he admits that he killed hero and staged the suicide. but he doesn't say basil's involvement in the situation because he's too held up with his own guilt and his own involvement.
kel expects everything basil said to come true, but mari, sunny, and aubrey forgive kel. it's clear that it was an accident, and it's obvious how much pain kel is in.
but forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting. everyone is uncomfortable around kel, and there is an inevitable, understandable resentment towards kel. the group is awkward, and they tend to exclude kel from things for the sake of their own comfort.
and to make matters worse, the people who take kel's confession the worst are his parents. they despise kel for what he did to their favorite child, and they essentially abandon him emotionally, leaving him to endure this extremely difficult point of his life all by himself. they no longer include him during mealtimes, and when he's around them, they ignore him. they don't even yell at him anymore. it's cold, dead silence.
the only person who still treats kel the same is basil, or so we think. everyone assumes that it's because basil is so sweet and kind, but really, it's because basil is the only one who knows the full truth.
basil is desperate. upon seeing how kel is treated in the friend group and by his family, he realizes that he doesn't want the same thing to happen to him. he begs kel to keep his secret, and ends up manipulating him out of fear. he tells kell that if he tells the group about basil's involvement, then nobody would believe him, and everyone would abandon him.
so kel keeps the secret. but as we all know, kel hates secrets and lies. but he also hates betraying his friends. so now he's in a huge inner conflict between his two biggest values: honesty and loyalty. does he honor his honesty and tell the group the whole truth? or does he honor his loyalty and keep basil's reputation safe?
on top of this, kel realizes that he heavily disagrees with basil's extreme actions of deception, and he hates the position that basil has put him in, making him entirely responsible for basil's fate. but what is he able to do about it? basil is basically the only reason why kel hasn't been completely phased out of the friend group, and basil has so much control over how the group views kel. so he's trapped with basil, forced to endure him with no complaints.
after all, sweet, innocent, kind basil is much more likable and pitiful than loud, annoying, murderer kel.
i hope you guys enjoy this au!! i'm very new to the fandom so if something like this has been made before please don't flame me, i didn't know! feel free to comment with any questions you have about the au, and i'd love to answer them!!! i really want to do something with this, maybe a fanfic or something!
