#[cherry on top]#undertale yellow spoilers #[..its still you]#anyways. finished my uty playthrough yesterday. oh my god.#^ that might be a bit of a surprise given that ive said like. nothing about it on here #but honestly i felt like positive-neutral about the game for most of it. like yeah it was good;#but nothing that drove me crazy. yknow? it was just an overall good game.#which is why i didnt really say anything about it #then it started picking up near the middle-end with the steamworks-#i enjoyed axis and guardener a lot; ceroba was a cool party member;#and the music in steamworks goes hard. one of my favorite tracks tbh #then there was the buildup to cerobas fight.#then i /got/ to cerobas fight and. crumples up into a ball AAUUUUUUUUUU #OH MY GODDDDDD #something about it made me shatter into a million tiny pieces.#a lot of things did actually. like how HARD IT WAS #i was stuck on her for OVER AN HOUR #BUT I DID IT. I DID IT LEGIT. IT WAS SO SATISFYING WHEN I FINALLY BEAT HER #god im just insane about ceroba rn. women who fuck up everything big time #and see no other option other than to dig their hole deeper because they sure as hell arent getting out of it #OH AND THE ENDING... BECAUSE OH MY GODDDD OF COURSE CLOVER WOULD DO THAT AHUGHHHHH #THEY'RE THE JUSTICE SOUL. the chapter songs in Alan Wake 2,, flawless

#they deserve more love and discussion #saying this while also not knowing what to say other than they’re so fucking good #alan wake 2 #i think it’s partially because poets of the fall’s tracks are iconic so of course they’re in the spotlight (as deserved)#but also the CHAPTER SONGS. them being made for a given chatacter(s) with the help of Sam lakes poetry #the changes with ‘this road’ by Poe with every Alan chapter. becoming more distorted and revealing lyrics and the spiral #the scratch song being 1) hilarious and 2) similar to Zane’s poetry in the aw1 arg #the emotion in superhero when saga feels lost at the story making it so Logan was gone #the lines of her feeling like a ghost in this story forming around her.. how she feels guilty and absent for both what the story’s doing #and being away from Logan because of her job. ashdhhhhjhh my heart #AND. follow you into the dark HAS to be alice. which kills me because at for at I thought of Alan #but no. Alice jumped in the dark place after him. it’s so !!!!!!!!!!!#the rabbit hole line. Alice spiraling deeper and deeper into a dream—into wonderland #the Lost at Sea one is also good. intrigues me. the Bowie and Lynch references are blatantly aw2 Zane #but it’s so similar to diver Zane and the ‘originals’ death. being lost in the dark place with illusions of escape #and losing any sense of identity. whether he’s real at all or the monster of this sea or just a lost soul.#the soft and calm vocals / instrumental really makes the whole thing #NEED to stop typing more tags because this is a Lot. however.#‘no one left to love’ is also a phenomenal song and one of my favorites from the album. GORGEOUS vocals and how it all flows together.#such a powerful and beautiful way to end a chapter #anyway that’s all I had to say :)#god. I finally finished my first playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3, and boy am I feeling things. I think I did a good job! I feel bad for a couple things I failed at, but everyone got a decent happy ending imo

That said, I'm feeling it. That feeling. I forget the word; you've just finished a stormy a wonderful story. It was so good, the characters were amazing, and I finished the final page, closed the book and...

It's sad, like a goodbye, but frantic. It can't be over?! Not yet! It's too soon! It was a beautiful story, I want to stay just a little longer! It's the drop, after the high of experiencing such an amazing story, and I can't remember the word for it! Not melancholy, or withdrawals, but close to it? Surely there's a word for it? I want to stay just a little longer, with these friends you've made, even if they aren't real. They feel close to it. I want to stay.

And I can, of course. Another playthrough or two. I can get to know the characters even better, personalized their happy endings, find my ultimate happy ending, write it on my own if need be!

But... One day, you put the book down, and never open it again. That scares me. I'm glad I've learned, over the years, that when a story touches you this way, you carry it with you, long after the book turns to dust. But that feeling, as the credits roll, and you aren't quite satisfied, even though you can feel that the ending was right...

That's the good thing about books, I guess. You can always read it again. Every ending is a new beginning, no?

This game is definitely a work of art. I'm so thankful for the team that brought it to us! I think my life is better for it!

The fact I honestly thought I'd pull off playing College Craze and being normal about it, and then less than a week later I've already played it multiple times, made a duel MC au, a Pinterest board, and recreated some of the PopMe pages, is genuinely not lost on me.
