Now, I sent a past mini theory that I believed Ren's dad did something to him after he ran away (Causing their mother to go into hysterics and etc Yada Yada yap yap) But I really haven't been able to figure it out despite knowing it must have something to do with the scars but once again its really hard to imagine unless he like...pushed [REDACTED] into a fire or they got in a fight and it resulted in a fire and [REDACTED] got the scars trying to escape the fire.

I haven't seen day 4 yet, only small pieces of beginning and end so bear with me for this part but could the black mist somehow be hmmm, Ren's guilt/trauma/something that haunts him? I thought about that one post where it was said [REDACTED] didn't sleep due to nightmares of his past.

Ren's scars will be discussed later in the game, so I won't say much about them here (out of potentially spoiling something). However, I will say that he only has scars along his hands and arms! It's why he started covering them up with tattoos and constantly chooses to wear long-sleeved clothes — even in summer.

As for the black smoke: its existence is a bit more literal than the concept of Ren's guilt/trauma haunting him. Again, I can't say much due to potentially spoiling things. Sorry!!

Ren's real name isn't Draven! Two of the letters in "Draven" are not part of it. It also sounds too close to Davrin, and it's giving me massive Veilguard withdrawals :( /silly

I just wanted to share an idea that came to my mind. Just imagine Aruani in "The Little Prince" au where Armin is the Little Prince and Annie is his precious rose.

I can definitely see Armin as the little prince embarking on a long journey to learn all that the universe holds (very fitting!) and Annie being his beloved little rose. She's his favourite rose aidhjsbdjsnsbs. I could go on a rant about the Little Prince's beautiful meanings but wasn't it because of the Rose's demanding nature that the Prince left his planet? In that I guess we can draw a small parallel to Aruani wherein who they are is both the cause for their love and also their separation.

In this AU, Annie being thorny and distant serves as a catalyst for Armin to explore the planets, but on his voyage he understands that it's the same distance that softens his heart to all the memories he made with her back home. Thorny as she may have been, all that time he spent caring and tending for her, protecting her from the dangers around can only be described as love, and love is a force of nature, beyond nature. She will always be his little rose.

Distance makes the heart grow fonder, and the longing to see someone turns sweeter, ultimately encompassing the fact that for Armin, loving Annie is inevitable and also a responsibility - one he'd gladly take up to return home, back to her.

That is EXACTLY the series finale I wanted. Not an ending, but a big, beautiful diving board the fandom can take a flying leap off into whatever the future and our brains hold. I'm gonna miss this show but lord I do hope Paramount gets their heads out of their asses at some point and picks it up for another season or two. Until then, though, I'm very happy with this soft landing.

I have been having Stranger Things thoughts and I honestly think I might explode if I don't talk about it just a little.

So uh potential spoilers for season 5 after the break

(it's potential because I have no proof of any of this It was just a thing that popped into my head T_T)

So in season 1; we have Will getting kidnapped/gets stuck in the upsidedown.

In season 2; Will gets possessed. (And we get introduced to dart but idk if that could come up again. )

In season 3; yes we get a possessed Billy but we also get the flesh monster thing (and I guess the whole russian plot but I am gonna be honest I don't really understand what is going on there so I am ignoring it)

And finally in season 4: We have the whole Vecna curse.

I think it would be fun if in season 5 if the party has to face all of these at the same time. I think it would be a good full circle moment. Also they kinda like to bring back old concepts in the Stranger Things all the time so it makes sense that they might do it.

For example, we have been seeing a bunch of Holly pictures, so we know she is going to be at least more important than she has been. Which got me thinking that maybe she gets taken to the upsidedown like Will did in season 1. Which I am more on board with than her just getting killed

I am not completely convinced about the whole; Will is gonna get possessed again theory, that has been talked about. I do think that it is very plausible if this is what they plan on doing for season 5. But it could just as easily be any party members being possessed.

We might get more flesh monster, (yay..) but the mind flare could also just be its shadowy self and I think it would work just as well. I would of course add the clump of mushed together meet just so the connection to it is obvious but we also have more obvious examples before this I don't think it's strictly necessary.

Then of course, the Vecna's curse. I know this might be a bit of a hot topic, I do have thoughts on who (Mike wheeler) Vecna will target but I will leave that for a different post. I do think that it would be a waste to introduce Vecna's curse and then not utilise it in the final season, but I have heard the argument about how it might feel like repetitive story telling (which I don't think Stranger things avoids doing) but I can agree that this could be the case. I think it is likely that it won't be exactly the same. Because we have seen the whole main character Trauma reflected back at them plot. But if Stranger things Season 5 main conflict is a combination of all of the previous conflicts than I think it is fine. And again I think it's a very powerful tool and they shouldn't shy away from using it just because we have seen it before. Idk

I was talking about all of these with my siblings and they pointed out how there are the og four (Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will), the four gate ways, the four seasons and then the four main conflicts.(There is probably more I am just not smart enough to think of it.) but maybe that is evidence in my favour for this. Idk.
