i brought up mouthwash!ng 2 my dad abt games tht r actually completely not abt the gameplay n r story driven similar 2 how visual novels r n he immediately started rudly mocking it abt how dumb the title sounds n 'what could even happen in it [starts going thru dumb scenario of, i think, watching a guy drink mouthwash. i was barely listening cuz i was trying 2 start defending the game lmao]' n i tried 2 explain tht no the game is abt victim complexes n manipulation n rape culture n etc etc n when i started talking abt the food shortages n how they had 2 drink mouthwash (i said 'they had 2 resort 2-' he instantly said 'humans' n i was like well.. i mean they Couldve but they Didnt) after bringing up how jimmy raped anya n stuff n how after they got back hed hav 2 face his consequences he immediately said smth like how he shouldve killed (n eaten? i think? cuz the food shortages) anya n the problem wouldve been solved 4 him n its like ??? n then when i finished explaining the game n how its moreso a jumbled narrative of events jumping in points in time n trying 2 figure out an unreliable narrator dad said it 'wasnt a game' bc it 'didnt have action' n 'a game shouldnt b trying 2 shove messages on me or w/e' n kept repeating how the thing sounds boring n its like well yea mayb 2 ppl who jus want fuckass brainless entertainment like this isnt CoD dumbass its a Story jus told thru manually moving a protagonist which is why its moreso a story than a game but still falls under the 'game' category but aligns more w visual novels. not every1 is immature n jus wants kablam kablooey guns exitement wee like some stupid shonen likers its smth much deeper tht u clearly arent suited 4.
