☕️ imagine finding out what makes your stoic f/o laugh.

their tired, throaty chuckles when you’re in bed together and you do something they think is cute is one thing, of course. they might not even realize they’re doing it, which makes it even sweeter.

but also… they have that something that just gets to them. a smile so big that they’ll most certainly try to hide with their hand or the collar of their shirt, but they can’t conceal the squint in their eyes, or even the tears that begin to form.

what does it sound like? does their voice raise in pitch? do they wheeze? is it forced out loudly from deep within their diaphragm? does it catch in their sinuses or hiss through their teeth?

laughing is such a vulnerable thing; it’s a physical reaction to the body being overtaken by joy. no matter the timbre, the auditory confirmation that they’ve been broken is irresistible. to laugh together is to feel safe with each other. knowing they feel like they can let their guard down around you in that way is something you’ll surely cherish greatly~!
