did u know that . my chest used to be a grocery store and i stood on the floorboards of my clavicle for days in front of the aisle. trying to open the shiny plastic lid of a bottle brimmed with vicious thick sunlight that looked like it was trying to escape from itself. but somehow, even stuck inside the bottle, the light found its way out — that’s how i met you. pushing a cart next to the cereal boxes of meteoroids, you smiled one of the realest smiles I’ve ever been lucky enough to see and offered your palm to me. open and wide and boundless like the galaxy in my stomach. you didn’t say anything but i gave you the bottle anyway. and with your fingers that i swear were just like constellations (your joints the stars and your skin the lines bridging them together) you opened the bottle. the light spilled out instantly but the thing was — I couldn’t tell whether it was spilling from you or the bottle.
