100% this
When a relationship ends, the kind where you have a burning passion to be that person鈥檚 everything, it鈥檚 not just the romance that you miss and crave.
For me, it鈥檚 the friendship more, the calls on the way to or from work, the random messages, the look that you know is yours. The life you made with that person in your bubble not affected by the world around you, but you still know everything that is happening.
Do you know how many ex鈥檚 I would love to reach out to out of the blue and ask them to send me a picture of their dogs? It鈥檚 the little things that wrap around the big things that pause you and make you smile and sad at the same time.

My Project of the Day (weekend)
My actual giant batch of spaghetti sauce, that will get eaten, frozen, and shared. Friends who live near me are very lucky.
Friends who live distant should use this as a good excuse to come visit. 馃榿

That sounds *just like* a government project...
"We meant well, but instead we spent a fuckton of money and made the whole world worse and less good to live in."
did it work

I absolutely loveee seeing you fall in love. I'm really so happy for you both.
Now I'm a nosy, just if it's okay with you. How did you guys met?
Thank you, Anon! The lame answer is we met via the Facebook dating app.
The more interesting part of the story is that we initially matched right when i'd just started another relationship, so I put her "on hold" because I'm a one-woman-man and wanted to see where that would go. 8 months later, when that ended, I revisited her profile and saw something really special there, so I reached out to her again to see if she was still interested in connecting. I waited a couple weeks, but got no response... but still... there was just *something* there that I couldn't ignore. So I reached out one more time and said that it would be my last attempt. Turns out she had given up on dating, and had shut down her profile, but still saw my response, and after revisiting my profile, decided to respond and see where it went. When we started talking, she said she wanted to start out as friends and see what developed, and I was totally ok with that. However, when we finally met in person, there was an immediate and undeniable "spark" on both sides, and we both knew very quickly that we weren't going to be "just friends". :-) Friends as well? Absolutely. It grew from there...
Thanks for asking!
