#twisted wonderland#twisted wonderland spoilers#twisted wonderland episode 7 spoilers#twisted wonderland book 7 spoilers#twisted wonderland episode 7 part 11 spoilers#twisted wonderland book 7 part 11 spoilers#unfortunately leona's ultimate happy dream did involve his entire family dying tragically. them's the breaks.#(for the record he is a little messed up about this) (he is a little messed up about a lot of stuff)#the context of cheka is that they were going to try to shock leona awake by having him show up#however while styx could provide them with a 3d model based on a bodyscan (which they had for...reasons??) they had no data on his behavior#so he was basically just a little frozen mannequin#(the sprite was not t-posing but in my heart this was happening)#ruggie could kind of pilot him with his magic but it only lasts for a few seconds so he had to keep recasting it with noticeable choppiness#so while we don't get the entire effect due to the limitations of the format#this means that leona was in the middle of let-them-eat-cake'ing a revolution when suddenly#his late nephew bursts jerkily in through the door yelling OJITAN I'M ALIVE AND MY VOICE CHANGED OFFSCREEN#honestly they spent more time thinking of how to explain ruggie's terrible impression of cheka than anything else#how could leona have seen through this brilliant plan so quickly 🤔#man i really did love his horrible dream though#i like him as a character but i wasn't expecting his dream to be the one that got to me like that#love how all the savana dreams were like#jack: what if leona was really cool and my friend :)#ruggie: what if my dad came back and leona created a socialist utopia for me :)#leona: what if i finally got the chance to prove myself except i screwed everything up and everyone hated me and my family was dead#his conversation with kifaji at the end 😭#kifaji in his dream in GENERAL acting as a counterpoint to his phantom like. like!!!! You mean his extreme perfectionism? It contributes to it, yeah. Kind of a chicken and egg scenario tbh, hard to say which came first. Did Jack's fear of disappointing his father predate his perfectionism, and ultimately lay the foundation of its existence? Or was he born believing he always needs to be more than he is, and that impostor syndrome ended up creeping into his thoughts and feelings regarding his father? Who can say? He's not doing himself any favors regardless. In this situation, Jack is his own worst enemy. His feelings of inadequacy are like a perpetual motion machine. Always devising and "fulfilling" its own prophecies
If they would just sit down and talk to each other man-to-man, it would make a big difference. But Burning Spice hasn't been any good at talking to people in a long time (no matter how much better he's gotten as a person, there are just some things you lose that you'll never get back. Not after living a life like that), and Jack, well-intentioned little martyr that he is, never likes to talk about his problems. He buries them deep and focuses on doing right by others instead, all the time and forever. It's not healthy. It would hit a lot closer to home if his father sat him down, looked him in the face and told him he doesn't always need to put himself last, and he doesn't need to be afraid of not being good enough, because he is. He always has been.
#and i specify that Burning Spice needs to be the one to impart that wisdom to Pepper Jack over everyone else - including his mother...#...because of his past as the Herald of Change/History. Once upon a time BS wasn't so different. didn't think or behave all that differentl#feeling as though he always had to carry the weight of the world all the time. lest he let everyone down and be a failure.#Jack has it easier because he at least gets to be a normal person when he wants. BS was thrust into his role immediately. with no choice#so he understands that feeling. that pressure to perform. feeling like the world is watching you. expecting things from you. that was him.#it still is. but things are different now. I know we joke Lawrence Stroll is basically a bond villain, but my god, I have to take off my hat to him. Man joined this sport purely to support his son's career and dreams, and has seemingly just managed (not officially confirmed as yet) to nab the key to achieving those dreams in certified freaking car genius Adrian Newey, the man behind car designs that won 6 constructors' championships, 7 drivers championships, and earned 120 podiums to date for red bull alone. He's won 12 constructors' championships in total with 3 different Formula One teams (red bull, williams & mclaren). And now, he's apparently chasing Max too. I have to admire this man's sheer commitment, I now need him to win (sign newey & Max when the time comes) so badly now to see him rub the entire paddocks nose in it lmao.

i saw jhope 🫶
#none of it felt real it still doesn't#i think it might partly be because i was light headed the whole time#there was a lot of fog and it was hot and so overwhelming#but amazing 🫶#i really wasn't expecting to have such a good view of the stage#like i actually saw him with my eyes the whole time#it was so different from lollapalooza#i feel like at lollapalooza he was more focused on being serious and giving a perfect performance#but this time he seemed much more comfortable with a crowd of only his fans#hes so cute and sweet and obviously an amazing performer#i didnt know he wasnt feeling well at all#like i knew this but he really knows how to connect with the crowd both through the performance and while just talking to us#even in a second language he just seems so down to earth which can actually be hard#it was like seeing a completely different version of him seeing him dance and move and perform with my own eyes#he's really amazing#i didnt think it was possible but my love for him grew even more <333

You know I've worked at coffee store for going in 4 years now and my current store (my 4th one) is the only store I've ever worked at where I felt the need to ignore a good chunk of our regular clientele because they always try to come on to me. They are all older conservative men who tell me to smile, ask if I'm married, ask if I live alone, call me pet names and shit. I'm really at the end of my rope with it and I hope that me being cold to them will get them to take the fucking hint. You lost customer service voice privileges, sorry
#at my first store i literally acquired a 70 year old sugar daddy (unwillingly) and it wasn't this bad#he didn't speak a lot of English instead he'd just show up with groceries and large tips for me#i did try to discourage him but he'd just go 'NO 😠' and give me the money anyway#it only stopped when he tried to kiss my hand and my manager told him to please stop bringing me things#and you know what to his credit he agreed with no argument and left#that's more than i would expect of these assholes#and they're not even bringing me money so 🙄
