— it's just a silly little crush.

you've never been much of a sports fan in the first place.

the burning ambition, loud cheers, and massive crowds—it's just simply not your thing. really, you have nothing against the people who loves sports, but if given the choice between a vip ticket to the next biggest sports match and a week-long, peaceful getaway at the countryside,

you would absolutely chose the latter in a heartbeat.

hence,

with that image of you in mind,

imagine the surprise amongst your group of friends when you told them that in your right mind, with zero drops of alcohol flowing in your blood, you had stepped in to be one of the volunteer game photographer for your campus' next baseball game.

"i don't believe you," felix shook his head, golden locks swaying in unison, "what do you mean you just want to? you don't even like going to popular cafes—how are you supposed to deal with a baseball crowd? do you even know how massive that game would be?"

"pretty sure someone forced her," ryujin sighed, lines between her eyebrows still clearly visible beneath the stray strands of hair as she faced hyunjin on her right, "told you those people at the photography club seemed suspicious. why didn't you listen and joined with her? they won't be able to take advantage of her like this if you're there!"

"guys—"

"why is it my fault?" hyunjin protested, quickly pointing his manicured nails in your direction, "she's the one who signed up to the club without any of us knowing! it's not like i didn't want to join the club too—they already closed the form before i could try signing up!"

"hey—"

"you could've gone earlier!"

"how am i supposed to know?"

"you could've—"

"guys!"

the bickering between the two immediately ceased as the three pair of eyes now locked in your direction, visibly surprised at the tone of your voice. to be fair, you do understand why your friends are acting the way they are, but god, they're starting to sound more like a couple of overprotective parent and a childish sibling at this point.

"no one forced me, i promise," you sighed, quietly fidgeting with your fingers under the cafeteria table. you do admit it's far too weird for you to be doing all this, but you have your reason. "i'll be fine, you don't have to worry about me too much. i'll be okay."

"besides," you quickly continued upon noticing the persisting worry in your friends' eyes, "it's about time i start doing new stuff like this. i don't want to feel like i'm wasting my last years as a student and graduate with regret. okay?"

only then does your friends' eyes seem to soften, worry now replaced by relief.

"if you say so," felix became the first one to smile, hand gently patting your shoulder, "but don't go overboard with it, okay? try to go to the practice sessions first so you could gauge the situation for game day."

"felix's right," both hyunjin and ryujin added at the same time, quickly glaring at each other before focusing back at you.

"i can go with you to the practices," ryujin volunteered, frown lines already replaced with a beaming smile, "i happen to know one of the assistant coach, he'll let us watch if i ask him!"

"pretty sure you just want to see that legendary pitcher—ow!" hyunjin quickly rubbed out the sting from ryujin's slap on his shoulder, and between her glare, hyunjin's protest, and felix's laugh,

no one seemed to notice the faint shade of blush, slowly creeping on your cheeks.

the fresh spring air of seoul eagerly fills your lungs—quietly reminding you of a distant memory when life was nothing more than running around the field of your grandparents' countryside home. you might be a quiet kid, but that never stopped you from exploring every nook and cranny you could find around the vicinity of the well-maintained traditional house.

today, however,

you're planning on making a new memory for yourself.

as it turns out, ryujin does actually know the assistant coach for the campus' baseball team. chris, as he introduced himself, is also a personal trainer at the gym ryujin frequents, explaining the unexpected connection—much to hyunjin's dismay, though, who was really looking forward for a new reason to tease ryujin. both you and felix could only shook your heads, each wondering when (or if) the two will ever stop bickering with each other.

the first few practice session you attended with ryujin was a lot more fun than you had expected it to be. maybe it was ryujin's friendliness that helped lowered the players' guards down around the new faces watching, but everyone seemed very welcoming to the addition of you and your camera around the perimeters of the field.

you, on the other hand, also got to learn about where and when to snap the best pictures, along with the terms to help you understand better about whatever is going on in the field during the game. had felix not popped the idea to watch these practice sessions, you probably won't be able to do your best for the upcoming game day, and you definitely will need to treat your friends to some chicken and beer later as a thank you.

for today's practice round, however,

you're left all alone.

you don't blame ryujin—she has her own class related stuff to tend to, and besides, her coming with you for the first few times were already more than enough. you've grown far more comfortable being around the considerably sized crowd and you know your ways around the place should you need some time away, but all in all, you know you're doing a lot better now, thanks to ryujin's help.

"oh, you're here!" chris were the first one to spot you, waving with his dimpled smile on display, "ryujin told me you'd be on your own today. will you be okay?"

"of course," you mirrored the older's smile, finally standing next to the casually dressed assistant coach at the edge of the field, "she's too worried, but i'll be fine. it's not like i'm the one running around, hitting the balls anyway."

chris cracked a laugh at your joke, relieved that you don't seem to be as tense as you were when he first met you. "well that's great, then," he hummed in content, smiling in your direction, "feel free to walk around the usual space, today's practice won't be as hard the ones before so you should be able to get better shots."

and surely, you did.

like the usual round, chris had to monitor the practice and hence, you're left to explore the media pit on your own. you greeted some of the players you've gotten acquainted with while they wait for their turn, and you also managed to snap some new shots to submit to the campus website and journalist club. it might be a volunteer event, but hey, you have to be strategic with your portfolio, right?

"at this rate, your crush might as well be broadcasted from the speakers, you know."

the sudden voice coming from your left nearly made you drop your camera.

"what crush?" you throw a protest—albeit sounding more like a squeak—at minho, the other assistant coach you've gotten acquainted with through your time at the field. "i'm just doing my job here," you continued, shaking your head before again raising your camera,

while also attempting to mask the rising tempo of your heartbeat.

"you can't fool me like you fool the others," minho chuckled, lips tugged into a lopsided smile while he crossed his arms in amusement, "i can clearly see where your lenses are pointed, so there's really no use in lying to me."

crap.

"you're just saying nonsense to bother me," you huffed, trying to keep your cool behind the camera while attempting your best to hide the flush on your face from minho. even if you're about to get your cover blown, you'd rather not get it done by the menace that minho is.

sure, it hasn't been long since you've been introduced to minho, but for reasons only god and minho himself knows, the guy seems to just weirdly pick on you out of the blue and as it turns out, he's quite a psychic too.

"well then if that's not the case," minho shrugged, quietly extending a palm at you, "can i see the pictures you've taken today?"

"no!"

and only after you saw the maniacal smirk plastered across minho's face as you clutched the camera close to your heart that your realized,

your cover is blown.

[ weeks ago ]

honestly, you don't think you'll be joining any clubs this year.

it's not that you don't want to—you actually do, considering you're the only one of your quartet who still hasn't really decided on anything to do outside of your classes, but nothing seems to be piquing your interest just yet.

staring down at your phone, you're trying to find your last resort—the photography club. to be fair, you're not a major photography geek in the first place. yes, you do like taking pictures and you do go out of your way to learn the basics of photography, but that's about it. despite everyone telling you that you're good at it, you've never viewed photography as something more than just a hobby.

"it should be—ow!"

the sudden force against your shoulder sent your phone straight to the hard surface of your campus building's floor, inviting several gasps to be heard between the decorated walls—including one of your own.

"shit—i'm really sorry, are you okay?"

before you could even react, a hand had reached for your phone and quickly dusted the screen off before offering the device back to you. "i'm really sorry about this, i'm in a bit of a hurry and i wasn't looking. are you okay? is your shoulder alright?"

in all honesty? no, you're not okay.

"yeah, it's okay. i'm at fault too," you grimaced, noting the dull ache on your shoulder while reluctantly grabbing your phone, hoping for the safety of your screen, "i'm so—"

any remaining air left in your lungs seemed to get caught in your throat as soon as your eyes found the pair staring right at yours, catching you off guard. even under the navy ballcap he's wearing, the depth of his eyes had successfully lured the remaining pieces of rationale beyond you.

"look," he continued, snapping you out of your trance, "i'm in a hurry right now, but if by any chance i accidentally broke your phone, you can come find me today at the baseball field at 5pm and i'll take full responsibility. sounds good?"

your head had nodded even before you could even entirely process what just happened to you—were you just bewitched by a guy in a navy ballcap?

"alright, good," the figure finally broke out a smile, already taking his steps to the direction opposite of yours, "thank you! i appreciate it!"

and just as you realized you haven't gotten the mysterious guy's name, you caught a glimpse of the small embroidered name at the back of his jacket before he disappeared at the end of the hallway.

kim seungmin.

[ present day ]

you're so going to kill minho.

after the stunt he pulled off earlier, it didn't take you a second to take off from his crime scene, tightly holding your pandora's box of a camera while you try and find a spot to hide from minho—but most importantly, from seungmin.

you know seungmin probably won't realize that you were gone, but the horror that minho might've spoiled your little secret to seungmin himself made you a little bit nauseous.

in your defense, you weren't expecting anything to happen between you and seungmin. sure, you joined the photography club solely because you've seen their coverage during previous baseball season and were hoping you could be one of the people to document seungmin's journey as a u-league player, but that's it.

it was just a silly little crush—nothing more.

"uh, hey."

the speed it took you to look at the figure standing across nearly got you to pull a muscle—and if it wasn't enough, the fact that seungmin is indeed the owner of the voice calling out to you were ready to be the cherry on top.

"minho hyung told me to give this to you as an apology," he offered a can of coffee, smiling at you depite being visibly unsure about what he's currently doing. "i thought he should've gave this to you himself but, you know, minho hyung is… yeah, he can be kind of weird."

you couldn't help but laugh at seungmin's comment, accepting the surprisingly warm can as you shrugged, "he is weird. thank you, though, for giving me this in his stead. you didn't have to."

"don't mention it," seungmin smiled—and again, your heart skipped a beat. "i'm on my way too, anyway. it's cool."

"on your way?" you questioned, words already rolling off your lips even before you could process your own thoughts. to be fair, the spot you ran away to were exactly the opposite of the baseball fields' exit gate—which doesn't make sense, if seungmin were on his way out.

"sorry—i didn't mean to pry," you quickly backtracked before seungmin could answer, already preparing to leave the shaded bench you've been staying at for the past 40 minutes or so. "i think i better leave. thank you again for—"

"wait!"

your eyes doubled in size when seungmin stepped in your way, preventing you from moving further. it seemed like he's also surprised at himself, judging from the way his eyes had mirrored yours.

"i, uh," clearing his throat, you noticed the hesitance in his face before seungmin then pointed at the phone in your hand, "is your phone working just fine? nothing broke?"

…oh.

oh?

"you… remembered?" you took a step back, nearly tumbling back at the bench had seungmin not grabbed your wrist, equally as surprised as you are. only after you convinced him that you're okay is when seungmin willingly dropped his hold on your arm.

"well, of course i remembered," seungmin nervously chuckled, subconsciously rubbing his nape, "i was the one who sent your phone flying, so… i feel responsible. i mean i was glad you didn't came that day since it meant your phone was okay and i've actually been meaning to ask since i realized it was you who came to take our pictures, but…"

you quietly anticipated between the pause, granting seungmin the time to explain as he shrugged and continued,

"i kind of feel like a creep if you didn't remember me since i realized i didn't actually give you my name that day."

so he did realize…?

frankly, it felt like your brain is short circuiting—so seungmin remembers you? why? was he just curious about your phone? was he waiting for you to come? why would he feel like a creep? what is happening right now?

"and since i didn't get to give you my name that day," seungmin continued, eyes reflecting a newfound determination amidst the persisting worry,

"can i get your number this time?"

So this one is requested<3 by pretty reader of mine

Enhypen one of the best k-pop boy group was going to held their concert in Seoul after their recent album

Their new song was a famous comeback and was amazing just like they are

And the first perfomance was going to start in a few minutes...they all were getting ready to perform

loud shouts can be heard from the crowd of fans waiting for them to come

Then they started perfoming it was going all smooth as it always have to but Sunoo the sunshine of the group was not focused he was focused into something or someone....

Yeah it was you shouting just like every other fan was doing but something in you,Sunoo found unique

and after the first perfomance the other members talked to Sunoo about this in which he just apologized

The second perfomance started and you were close to stage now as your friend was having a VIP ticket but now all the members noticed you how you cheered for them , your smile, your eyes everything was so pretty about you

FEW HOURS LATER

the concert ended and now it was time for Fansign.

the first member was Niki , and now he got to know that you are not just pretty from distance but the closer look is way better-

You met everyone and all of them were in total awe when they met you they found you unique,charming and mostly Fragile.

When they met each other after concert Sunoo started talking

"Guyz did you met that girl named Y/N-?"

Everyone immediately shooted him glances

"Yeah we all did at fansign."

Everyone nodded and thats when Sunoo said

Same here- I wouldn't spend large amounts of money to see any other type of artist- every other concert I'm 'you better lower those prices if you want people to attend' (but tbh- if it was only me going to the tbz concert- i would have gotten vip :) for their exorbitant prices ebhehba) I love how Day6 would bring you out of your concert deficit and pay the plane tickets back bhebha- (to be fair they are Day6 so absolutely reasonable imo). Woodz!? absolutely reasonable too- Ik it's implausible- but maybe they'll manage to play where you'll be~ Same- I always save for possible concerts- but now you'll have more to save for even more concerts when you get back~

Ya know, I like that idea. As long as I can successfully transfer my decent wage corporate retail job, (which means I would get to keep my current wage) I WILL have enough money for more concerts in the future. 😌 Let’s just hope the transfer goes through because I get paid more than CA minimum wage rn and where I’m going, the minimum wage is so much lower.

And the thing with Woodz lol is that I wouldn’t’ve made that sacrifice before having seen him live, but I did and it was literally the BEST concert I’ve ever been to so he gets special privilege for that

After a tearful goodbye with their mothers, Grace and Bella made their way to the ticket counter to check in for their flight.

“Oh, Miss Swan, Miss Alo, you’ve been upgraded to first class and instead of your original flight with two layovers, we were able to accommodate you with a direct flight. Here are your updated tickets and Amy here will show you the way to the VIP Lounge to wait for your flight.” The front desk attendant gave them a warm smile and motioned to the woman beside her.

Bella’s mouth was opening and closing like she meant to say something and Grace’s eyes went wide with excitement.

“Nice!” she exclaimed. “Finally, the perks of having a rich boyfriend are paying off.”

“Grace!” Bella nearly scolded as they followed the aforementioned Amy to the lounge.

“What? Might as well benefit from your line into Richville.”

“You sound like Jake.” Bella laughed taking a seat in the overstuffed chairs as a waiter handed them champagne. “Speaking of which,” she set her champagne down without taking a drink, unlike Grace or delightedly downed the first quarter glass in one swift chug, “Have you spoken to him?”

Grace shook her head aggressively, “Absolutely not.” Her mind wandered back to the last text message he had sent yesterday afternoon after they had returned from lunch on the water.

You can’t avoid me forever.

Oh, how true that was.

Bella rolled her eyes and Grace decided to give her a taste of her own medicine.

“And what about you? Should we start wedding planning the minute we get home then?”

“It was his one condition to have him turn me himself.” Bella shot back. Grace wasn’t expecting that.

“So you’re still on this whole immortal kick then?” Grace crossed her arms after popping a piece of gum into her mouth.

“I was never not on it. I know what I want,” Bella said determined.

“And I want a burrito, but it’s 7 in the morning.” Grace said with a little too much venom. She was starting to sound like Sam. Bella looked away from her, annoyed. Grace decided to call a truce, she wasn’t going to convince Bella not to become a member of the undead in an airport. “Can I at least see the ring?” she said more gently.

Bella looked over at her tentatively, thinking for a moment and then dug into her bag and pulled out an oversized ring box. Grace held her breath knowing it was going to be enormous. But she was pleasantly surprised.

When Bella revealed the ring to her, it was big, but the old fashioned and unique oval shape set with glittering diamonds was breathtaking and fit Bella so well.

“Holy fuck,” Grace said a little too loud. Bella snapped the case shut as they drew a look from an older man reading his newspaper a couple seats down from them. “Sorry, it’s beautiful.”

“Thanks. I still..am a little nervous about all of this,” Bella wrung her hands above her and Grace gave her a soft smile.

“I know. But you love him so…” she trailed off, not sure what else there was to say.

Grace had never thought about marriage growing up. Her parents were incredibly happy loving people and she had the best model for marriage, but throughout her life, she never envisioned herself as married. Now a soft feeling turned over in her stomach where she held onto a new idea that was starting to bloom there. One that she saw blooming in Bella too. It might be nice to call someone yours forever.

Their flight landed early that afternoon and both girls were giddy when they got off of the plane. It was their first time flying first class and they were buzzing off the high of a catered meal and sparkling cider.

As they came out of the terminal to baggage claim, they saw Edward standing there, his face fitted with a perfectly stretched smile when he saw Bella.

Bella actually dropped her backpack and ran toward him and into his arms. Grace picked up her bag and slung it over her free shoulder and trudged toward them. As she approached them, Edward pulled his face out from behind her hair and said:

“I brought you a present.”

“A present?” Grace cocked her head to the side confused as Edward took Bella’s back from Grace’s shoulder.

Rachel Black came strolling from around the baggage claim with their suitcases. Grace’s heart dropped into her stomach. Son of a bitch. Grace inwardly cursed and sucked in a quick breath. Was this Edward’s idea of some kind of a sick joke?

“Hey!” she said, trying to sound cheerful and shoving her hands in her back pockets. Edward saw the look of disappointment cross Grace’s face and suddenly felt like he’d made a mistake. Bella looked at Grace worriedly.

“Hey little Alo,” Rachel said, that same twinkling smile on her face. Seeing Rachel made her feel slightly sick which frustrated her even more. A dumb imprint, that Rachel wasn’t even in control of, was going to make her suddenly dislike a person she’d known almost her whole life? “I got to be honest with you, I’m not here just for me.”

Grace was confused and raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

“I’ve been sent to take you to see your new home,” Rachel rolled her eyes but let out a little laugh. “Well, I think the exact instructions were to take you to my brother first and then the house second, but tomato, tomato.” She shrugged and Grace found herself fighting a smile. Same old Rachel, warm, but still took no shit.

“I hope that’s alright,” Edward said from the sidelines. “We’ll drop you off at your place.”

Rachel nodded and Grace let out a big sigh holding her arms out at her sides in a wide shrug.

“Why not.”

Edward was able to drive Grace right up to her home since technically it wasn’t on the original treaty line that they had agreed to so many years ago. Tensions between the pack and the Cullens had ebbed slightly since the fight, so Sam was a little more lenient about where they could come on their land.

Grace, however, was completely floored when they pulled up. The old, falling down house had been given a facelift in her absence. A new thatched roof adorned the top of the house and a second level had been installed. A large circular window looked out toward the cove. Where the sagging porch had been a new one was installed that wrapped around the front of sides of the home. Tools were still scattered about and it was still being installed in some areas. They had painted her front door a dark mossy green and when Grace pushed it open, she thought she might faint.

The interior of the home was completely refinished. A small kitchen looked out over her spacious living room that Esme had expertly decorated to match her rustic, simple style. Her bedroom was on the second floor in the large loft that looked out over the cove and the back bedroom was converted into a pseudo indoor greenhouse with a desk and comfy, plush chairs. One wall was dedicated to an entire bookshelf that held an assorted collection of books.

Grace dropped her backpack in the back room and turned to Edward who was standing in her doorway. “This is incredible, thank you so much.” she couldn’t quite catch her breath.

“It’s the least we could do, considering everything you’ve done from my family and Bella.” Edward said softly before nodding and taking his leave. Bella gave her a hug before she left and said “Tell me how it goes with Jake” before joining Edward.

Rachel was sitting in the new living room waiting for Grace. “Sooo, what do you think?”

“It’s incredible,” Grace said plopping down on the soft linen sofa. “It’s too much but it’s incredible.”

“Naaah, you deserve this.” Rachel steadied Grace with a look and she shifted uncomfortably under her gaze. “I wanted to ask you….” here it comes “About the whole Paul thing.”

Grace felt an awful pang in her stomach rise up. No, not now.

“What about Paul?” Grace said nonchalantly and Rachel tilted her head knowingly at her.

“Don’t act like that, I know you.” Grace gave out a huff. “Sam said you two were pretty serious...before I showed up.” Rachel looked at her fingernails now not wanting to meet Grace’s gaze. Grace looked her over carefully trying to see what she was getting at.

“Yeah, we were together, so?”

“Don’t say ‘so’ like that. I’m asking if you’re okay.”

“Rach, what do you want me to say? Yes? Totally fine? Don’t think about him at all at night? Because that’s not the truth.” Grace looked over her shoulder out the open front door toward the cove. She wanted to disappear in this moment.

“I just...I know I screwed everything up, but I didn’t mean to. I didn’t even know.” Rachel looked at her now. Tears were welling up in Grace’s eyes. She felt her phone buzz in her pocket but momentarily ignored it.

“Why are you bringing all this up again? Are you and Paul going out or something?” she looked at Rachel now with a hurt, scornful look. She didn’t want to know the answer but she also couldn’t shy away from it now that Rachel was trying to gauge her reaction.

Rachel didn’t respond for awhile and picked at the skin on the tips of her finger. Grace watched her carefully and then nodded, “Right…” It was clear what Rachel was after now. Grace pulled her phone out of her pocket and looked at her most recent text message.

SMS Text—4:33 p.m.: Jake

Did you make it home okay?

Rach was supposed to bring you by an hour ago.

I need to talk to you.

Grace considered not responding, hightailing it out of there and swimming as far out into the ocean as her body would allow, but she didn’t want to be alone in this new pain that was becoming clear now that Rachel clearly wanted Paul. She typed a hasty reply.

I’m home, at the new place.

Come over.

“Grace?” Rachel said looking at her now with a sad look on her face. “I don’t want you to be unhappy. You know how much you mean to me but I...the imprint makes it hard for me to…”

“Are you asking for my permission or something? Or my blessing?”

“No, I….” she took one look at Grace and switched topics suddenly, “What’s going on with you and my brother?”

Oh, so she wanted to play it like this? Grace was game. She stood up and walked over to her kitchen to pull down a green glass water cup and filled it with cold water from the sink. She took a drink and then turned to look at Rachel.

“Not the same thing that was going on with Paul if that’s what you’re asking.” Rachel winced and Grace immediately felt guilty.

“Grace, I’m….I’m so sorry,” her voice piqued with emotion and Grace felt immediately drawn to her. “I don’t know what to do here. Help me.” her eyes were pleading but Grace couldn’t find the words to make either of them feel better at the moment.

“You should go,” Grace said in a hard voice, Rachel’s face changed to one of disappointment, anger even, “Jake’s coming and if you don’t want to get your head bit off, then it’s best to head off now. So…” Grace trailed off refilling her water and staying away from Rachel.

She got to her feet and nodded, walking out the front door and heading off into the forest. Grace let out a frustrated groan as she wrapped her arm protectively around her stomach where the pain was still pulsing. She definitely didn’t expect Rachel to turn up at the airport and what’s more, she was not prepared to have a conversation about her and Paul dating. Grace knew the imprint was in play but it still hurt to think of Paul moving on so quickly. As she gripped the countertop and tried to hold herself together, a familiar voice echoed across the room as Jake made his way through the open door, shirtless and in his cut off jeans.

“Hey, you okay?” He was in front of her in an instant, his hands cupped under her cheeks and pulling her face up to look at her. Grace felt a calloused thumb move gently across her cheek and she took in a deep breath, letting her arm fall as she stood up straight. She grabbed his wrists and pulled his hands down off of her face in one movement.

“Yeah, fine.” She moved past him to go sit on the porch steps, suddenly needing a dose of fresh air. Jake tensed from the ease at which she pulled away and followed her shortly after.

He lowered himself down next to her on the front steps and watched her face for a second before looking out into the cove. “What did Rachel say?”

“It’s bullshit, Jake,” Grace let it out, “This imprint is the cruelest thing in the world. Because no one gets a choice. Why? Why do that to us when we already have so much to deal with? I don’t….” she choked a little, trying to swallow a sob. “I hope it never happens to me. I want a choice.”

Jake listened patiently and nodded his head, “I hear you.”

“Just...promise me something,” she looked at him seriously now and Jacob trained his eyes on her, even with her face red and puffy, lips parted, and hair flying around her, he thought she was beautiful. He desperately wanted to raise a hand to graze her cheek or pull her into him and kiss the top of her head until he felt her breath even out.

“Anything,” he said seriously.

“Promise me that when it happens to you, you’ll still be the same.” Her eyes were swimming with hurt just thinking about Jake being pulled away from her in any way. But still, she pushed down that ache in hopes of keeping herself whole.

“I promise, Grace. I won’t let you down.” His voice was soft, calm, and reassuring. The tension in her face melted right away when he looked at her like that and Jake knew that whatever she asked him, he would do.

She leaned her body against his, resting her head on his shoulder and he let out a sigh of relief.

“These last four days without you were not my best,” he admitted suddenly.

“What do you mean?” she mumbled, listening intently to the crash and roll of the sea.

“When you left, something in me stopped working. I felt….irritated. Like I was being pulled in a million different directions and I couldn’t sit still. Sam had to send me on rounds by myself a couple of nights because no one could stand to be around me and I don’t blame them.”

“That’s weird,” Grace said distractedly.

“Yeah….weird,” Jake said softly. Grace wrapped her arms around his bicep and scooted into him more.

“Are you hungry?”

Jake let out a laugh, “Always.”

They spent the evening prepping and cooking vegetables and chicken for burritos in Grace’s kitchen. Esme, delightfully, had stocked a part of Grace’s closet with extra men’s t-shirts and jeans for the pack in case they had ever phased nearby or needed something to change into. It was incredibly thoughtful and Grace hugged the black t-shirt to her body before coming down the stairs and tossing it at Jake. He laughed and eagerly put it on, returning to his chopping of the onions while Grace watched a pan of sizzling chicken breasts.

When she came over to supervise she gave out a short laugh.

“No, no Jacob. Diced, we need diced onions.”

“These are diced!” he protested. She pushed in front of him and gently took the knife from his hand to demonstrate.

“Slice this way, and then this way,” He was standing very close behind her and was looking around her. As Grace delicately chopped the onion, Jacob raised two tentative fingers and brushed back a swath of dark black hair that had fallen in front of her face. His fingertips gently brushed the side of her neck as he stroked the hair back behind her shoulder and peered from behind her to take in her work. Grace shivered, goosebumps rising on her neck and she suddenly felt very hot and very aware of his presence.

“Like that, okay?” she said, handing him the knife back. He gave her a mischievous smile and nodded.

“Got it.”

They worked easily together, each reaching around the other for things, making jokes and laughing at something the other said. They opted to eat on the couch, cuddled up under a blanket and flipping on a movie to pass the time as the sun set. Jacob didn’t ask her once about the phone call and Grace was grateful.

Having Jake in the house made her whole body feel warm and in the back of her mind, she started dreading the time when he’d get up and leave. They talked late into the night, Grace laying her legs over Jake’s lap as she reclined on the couch.

She shared how good it was to see her mom, how she wanted her to see this place and know that she really was okay, so that she wouldn’t worry about her future. Jacob listened dutifully, his eyes always patient, kind, and open as she opened up about her fears and her dreams. He absently moved his hand up and down her thigh, pausing only when he was telling a story about his most recent night of rounds to emphatically show how he wanted to strangle Embry for something he said. Grace laughed at this and revelled at the sensation of warmth when he placed his hand back on her thigh. As the night wore on, they each drifted off to sleep peacefully on the couch.

Grace woke some time in the night to see Jake still there, his head leaning back against the couch and snoring softly. She gently picked her legs up off of him and strode to close her front door and turn off the lights. Then she gently leaned over him and placed a hand on his arm.

“Jacob.” she whispered and his eyes slowly opened looking around at the darkened room. “Come on.” she said running her hand down his arm and taking his hand. He yawned and stood as she guided him through the living room and up the stairs to her room. Once in her room, she let go of his hand and strode into her closet to change into some soft pajama shorts and a thin linen tank top. When she returned, Jake was taking off his shirt and folding his jean shorts, setting them on a chair in the corner of her room.

Grace crawled into bed and Jake nestled in beside her. Easily, they meshed into one another, Grace cuddling up into his left side, arm slung over his chest and head on his shoulder. Jacob wrapped an arm down her back and rested his hand on her waist, under her shirt to feel her skin on his. The moonlight filtered in above the bed and they fell back asleep almost instantly.

Grace didn’t know what it meant to have him here beside her just yet but she knew that she didn’t want him to leave. She had never felt so at peace before and decided as she drifted off that whatever awkwardness happened in the morning, she’d take it if it meant she could have this moment with him. She felt him lean over to kiss the top of her head before she let the sound of the waves and the rise and fall of his warm breath pull her into a deep sleep.

How you met: You were in Russia for an art fellowship for the year, and happened to meet him through Alisa (who is a model for one of the portraits you’re creating). She introduced the two of you at a small party at her place, and two of you hit it off right away. Both of you are very ambitious and passionate about your respective careers and vibe off of having that same ambitious energy. He probably says that he’ll spot your ticket if you ever want to go to one of his games. The two of you text on and off for a while after meeting, and you take him up on his offer to watch a game every now and then.

Your first date: For one of the private new year’s galas/charity events that the Russian league holds, Yaku gets an invite to a famous art museum, with the option of bringing a plus one. He looks into what exhibits the museum has and he finds out that one of the galleries is dedicated to impressionist art, and features several pieces by an artist you’ve mentioned to him. He asks if you’d like to be his date for the night and you accept. Honestly his jaw almost hits the ground when he sees you in your outfit for the night and he honestly doesn’t pay much attention to the gala itself since he’s more than content to listen to you ramble and point out all the different paintings you love.

Your first kiss: At the end of the gala, there are several toasts and a countdown until the start of the new year. He grabs two flutes of champagne and the two of you share a small toast and clink your glasses before taking a sip. Of course, it’s a bit cheesy but he waits until the countdown reaches zero before kissing you. The two of you start the new year surrounded by cheering, and honestly the kiss is just perfect. It’s firm yet sweet, and just the slightest bit of tongue that leaves you wanting more. When he drops you off at your door, he makes sure to kiss you a few more times before heading home.

Anniversary: You have to return home after your fellowship ends, but the two of you, out of sheer stubbornness and devotion make long distance work (although not without a few bumps in the road.) Your first anniversary happens to fall on a night where Yaku has to play for his team - and he lets you know that he won’t be there in person. However, the night before the two of you enjoy a very long video call, and he makes it a point to ship you a beautiful Russian egg as a present + a very sweet and heartfelt love letter. Admittedly you’re a bit mopey on the day of your actual anniversary - so you decide to be a couch potato for the day, bundling up in blankets on your couch to watch the re-run of your boyfriend’s match. You’re at the match point for the second set when you hear a knock at your door. At first you think it’s probably just a package, but when you open your door Yaku is standing there with a giant bouquet of flowers. You basically tackle him and are a complete sobbing mess bc this is the best surprise ever???? He hauled ass to get to where you were on time but it was totally worth seeing how happy you are.

How they propose: A few years down the road, you’re visiting Yaku in Russia and are in the VIP section/front row during the finals of the league tournament. You’re on the edge of your seat, they’re down to a deuce in the fifth set and you can just feel the tension as both teams struggle to score two points in a row. Finally, after making an extraordinary save, Yaku’s team manages to score that second point, sending the entire stadium into cheers. You’re jumping up and down in the stands, and the entire team is bundled up in a group hug. After the medal ceremony, Yaku’s walking around waving to fans, and his teammates all keep patting him on the back. By the time he gets to you pretty much all his teammates are casting not so subtle glances at him (much to his annoyance). The adrenaline hasn’t worn off quite yet, so before he gets too nervous he kneels down in front of you and the audience collectively gasps. He has the whole speech prepared when he proposes and you’re in tears by the time he finishes. When you nod yes he tears up before grabbing you for the tightest hug ever.

What your wedding looks like: Decides to do two small ceremonies - one in his home country of Japan and another in your home country. It’s the perfect compromise and ensure that none of your friends have to spend exorbitant amounts of money to attend a destination wedding. The ceremonies are both intimate and small - it’s mostly close friends and family. The Nekoma alum are all there in Japan, and yoru classmates from art school are present for the ceremony that takes place in your hometown. Takes a few months off to enjoy newlywed life with you - he spends the first two months living with you in your apartment, and the months travelling around Japan with you.

Newlywed/domestic hc: now that you’re married Yaku has zero qualms about helping you set up a studio in St. Petersburg (if you’re willing to move your career to the same country as his, if not he’ll still buy the two of you a larger apartment for when you visit). Also sugar daddy Yaku ahem n e ways even if his team isn’t based in St. Petersburg, at least he can spend his weekends and most of his off season with you. Of course, you still have to fly back and forth between continents because of all your different clients, but at the end of the day nothing beats coming home to Yaku cooking a nice pot of nabe in the kitchen. The two of you revel in your newly found domestic bliss - it’s just wonderful to finally have a shared place you both call home.

NCT JAEMIN- BREAK UP (One-shot)

Genre: Angst, Fluff

[You and Jaemin are both 18 years old. You're in first year of college and he's a trainee at SM].

I groaned as I woke up to my phone's alarm ringing loudly right beside my ear. When did I even put it there? I thought I kept it on the nightstand?

I dragged myself out of my warm and cozy bed as I made my way to the bathroom. I finished my morning routine and took a shower. I wore black sweatpants and my boyfriend Jaemin's white hoodie. It was a Sunday so Jaemin would be coming over to meet me like he usually does. This entire month he couldn't cause of practice.

Lately, he has been acting quite weird. I just assume that he's busy with practice since he's going to debut soon. But still, I got a really bad feeling about it.

What if he's cheating on me? There were plenty of girls in SM, who were a million times better than me and also a lot more beautiful. I've heard that he's been getting pretty close to a trainee named Kim Yerim.

But me and Jaemin have been dating for almost two years. He never showed any girl even a slight hint of affection except for me. So I don't think he'd want to throw it all away.

But then again, people change.

The rest of the day, I occupied myself by going out and shopping. I really needed to buy some new clothes. I got home by seven and made a sandwich for myself.

My phone began to ring. I went to pick it up. It was from Jaemin! He was calling me after almost two weeks. We only texted but that was rare.

"Annyeong, Nana!" I said excitedly. I heard him take a deep breath.

"Are you at home?" He asked, flatly. I felt uneasy at this unfamiliar tone.

"Um... yeah. Why?"

"I'll be there in a minute." He said and hung up.

This is bad. This is really bad.

In exactly a minute, I heard the doorbell ring. I tried to ignore my anxiety as I opened the door and let him in.

He didn't even greet me. He walked past me and sat on the couch, putting his hands on his lap and staring at the ground. He was wearing a navy blue hoodie and black ripped jeans with his white mask. He removed his mask and held it in his palms, playing with the straps.

I slowly sat next to him, crossing my legs. I sighed as I asked, "Are you okay?"

"We need to talk." He said, nonchalantly. I felt my anxiety getting worse. Those four words clearly meant only one thing which I really didn't want to think about.

"About what?" I asked, trying to sound calm. He was still fidgeting with his mask. I couldn't even see his face cause his hoodie was covering it.

"Let's break up." He said.

"What?" I whispered. "You're kidding right?"

He was silent.

"Tell me this is a joke, Jaemin."

"It isn't."

"Why are you breaking up?" I murmured as the tears began to roll down my cheeks.

"I lost my feelings for you." He said as he stopped fidgeting with his mask. Why wouldn't he look at me?

"You're lying. Look at me and tell me that you don't love me anymore." I said.

He took an audible deep breath as he turned to look at me. He was staring at me expressionlessly.

"I don't love you anymore, Y/N." He said, each word slowly, loud and clear.

I froze immediately. I couldn't even think. I just stared into his eyes that showed zero emotion. I could only feel my heart getting stabbed over and over again. I didn't even utter a word.

He looked away and said, "Take care of yourself."

I still couldn't open my mouth.

He slowly cupped my cheek as he gave me a lingering kiss. Then, he wore his mask and left.

He left me. He was gone.

I began to cry harder than I ever have before. His words kept playing in my head, "I don't love you anymore, Y/N."

I cried myself to sleep as I hugged a large teddy bear that he got me for my birthday.

I love you, Jaemin. I won't stop.

*4 months later*

Here I was, at an NCT fan-sign. How did I end up here? Well, my friend, Sooyeon, dragged me. She had no idea about my past and begged me to come with her. Eventually, I had to give in.

Unfortunately, she got VIP tickets which was right in the front. Fortunately, I coloured my hair honey blonde and was wearing a black mask so hopefully he wouldn't notice me. Plus, the hoodie I was wearing was so big that it almost covered half my face.

The fan-sign was going peacefully. He hardly said a few words. He looked undeniably handsome, wearing a long sleeved white shirt with a black tie. But there was one thing I noticed.

He didn't smile.

Even at the funny things the other members were talking about, he didn't laugh. He had an emotionless face and I noticed that he wasn't paying any attention and was zoning out.

He doesn't love you anymore Y/N, I reminded myself. I began to pay attention to what the other members were saying.

After a while, I told Sooyeon that I needed to use the toilet. She let me go and told me to come fast.

I quickly headed to the restrooms. I finished my business and as soon as I got out, someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me into a dimly lit room. The person closed the door and locked it and then pushed me gently against it.

I looked up at him, ready to slap whoever this person was.

But, I was left astounded instead.

"J-Jaemin!? What are you doing?" I whisper-yelled. My heart was beating crazily.

"I just had to see you." He whispered. He looked amazing even in the dim light.

"Why?" I asked, looking down. I felt my heart beat even faster.

"Baby," He whispered, cupping my cheek. "I never wanted to break up with you..."

"What...?" I asked, dumbfounded.

"How could you believe me so easily, Y/N?" He asked.

I pushed him away. "What the hell?"

He flinched and then said, "Hear me out first, please."

"No, I don't want to hear anything you have to say Jae-"

"I broke up with you cause I was forced to, Y/N." He said, cutting me off.

"What do you mean?"

"Since I was going to debut, SM forced me to break up. They weren't letting me choose both you and my career." He explained. "I had to do it, Y/N. And I know that's what you'd want me to do as well."

He was right, I would've let him break up with me for that.

"Why didn't you tell me the truth?" I questioned.

"I was scared to." He admitted.

I rolled my eyes, "I wouldn't have eaten you up."

"I'm so sorry, please forgive me." He said, kneeling down in front of me with his head down like as if he had committed a really bad crime.

"Get up, Jaemin! What are you doing?"

"I love you. I'm sorry." He muttered. I felt my heart race at those three words.

"I love you too, Nana. I never stopped." I said softly.

my concert/hi touch experience (vip)

i was attending the show with a couple of friends and they’re a mess too when it comes to mx and just...us being together...chaos. i left the house early in the morning and first had to get to a friend who lives in the hague and drop my sleeping bag there and then we’d leave for amsterdam together and meet with our friends. on the train i spilled coffee on my WHITE tshirt but luckily we had to switch trains in utrecht so i quickly bought a new tshirt and food because i. really didn’t want to meet them in a coffee stained outfit and we were on our way again

we arrived at the venue around 1pm and started queueing for the merch stand. i bought a tour tshirt and a shopper bag (i’m a happy brokebebe now) and we were looking for wonho’s fansite everblooming because my friends reserved a slogan set frm them but because we couldn’t find them we went to a nearby bar and sat there until like...5pm? we’re not that fond of queueing all day so we just waited while drinking our nerves away. we went back to the venue and picked up our vip wristband and lanyard and joined the queue. i met a twt mutual i’m close with after two failed attempts at crush in berlin and xxx’s cancelled show in amsterdam so i was so happy to finally see her!! i also met her again after hi touch and cried while hugging her LMFAO

the show itself was INCREDIBLE. they started right on time and i’m gonna be honest and say that this is my least favorite setlist of the three world tours that i attended but the subunits...the outfits...the old and new mondoongies in the crowd...the vcrs...JOOHEON DRUMMING...life changing. i think my favorite songs were myself (mx), hero, party time, sweetheart, no reason, jealousy, honestly, play it cool, rodeo and myself (hyungkihyuk unit). we were standing not too far away frm the stage but not that close either but i personally find it more important to have enough space to jump and dance around than be close to the barricade. also minhyuk was so sexy during that lalala part of party time too bad i didn’t record it

so last yr the boys were standing in front of a backdrop during hi touch but with their faces towards the queue in the foyer but this time they did it the opposite way so u only saw the backdrop and had no idea in which order they were standing...but i did feel like hi touch was organized a lot better than it was last yr because there was a lot more security/venue staff involved in terms of them telling the ult vip/vip pit where to sit and wait until each row could enter the foyer...yet the hi touch was extremely rushed so they didn’t really give u a chance to say more than a quick thank you/i love you. i think it’s because they also had a sendoff for ult vip ticket holders after the hi touch so they probably had to shorten the time period of the hi touch. ANYWAY

BRO the way i panicked because he was the first one while i KNEW he was the first one from a distance. his hand...soft. that smile...even softer. he was wearing a hat so i couldn’t really look him in the eye sadly i hope he’s okay because during the ending ment he didn’t really show his eyes either and i was afraid he was feeling sad/sick

his smile is always so genuine and his hand is really soft and small. like a paw. like i high fived him and his smile felt so comforting i really love kihyun sm he has this aura that just tells u don’t worry it’s okay without him having to say anything i think that’s what made me feel so comfortable to look him in the eye. kihyun is so angelic the entire show i was in awe of how beautiful his voice hair and smile was and he’s unreal when he’s right in front of u...

minhyuk

right before we went up to the foyer where the hi touch took place i asked my friends what i could say to minhyuk because i literolly forgot that u actually get the chance to say something to the loyl!! i usually blurt out i love you’s with tears in my eyes but i wanted to say something to minhyuk that i would never forget myself and my friends said i should say YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE and i didn’t forget? when i was in front of him? so i said you are my sunshine and held his hand one extra millisecond longer and he smiled and said something back but I DON’T KNOW WHAT BECAUSE I COULDN’T HEAR IT NSKEJWKSFHEJDHE security started yelling again. it was tragic but atleast he didn’t st*re that intensely and get that close again because i wouldn’t have survived it . i love minhyuk...babie. the absolute loml

this is another shownu situation where i did remember my interaction with them last yr but this yr is a whole blur i have no idea what i did? what did he do? i’m sorry changkyun i feel so bad

the last one!! i held his hand extra long because my mind kept telling me the hi touch was over after him so i didn’t let go until i heard security yell again and i told him i loved him a lot and u know...jooheon really follows your moves until you let go and have to leave? also his dimples...smooch

after the hi touch u immediately have to leave the venue and while my friends were crying i was...blank. like i couldn’t talk or do anything i was just walking behind them with my hand clasped over my mouth until we were outside where i finally broke down into tears it was so dramatic that even a friend said i wasn’t like this last yr and she had never seen me cry like that before

long story short i just wanna give mx my entire heart and during the show they kept saying we love amsterdam sm the scenery is so beautiful and we had a really good time here going to museums, going on boat tours, just walking around the city and i’m stressed because shownu will have to enlist soon but if he says that he’ll be back next yr i believe him ! i love my monsta boys my best friends my seven angels

Stray Kids in Moscow (August,4 - 2019)

At the first time in my life, I felt that it was not a concert with idol idols. It was a feeling that you catch when you stay with old friends and even more - with soulmates. Chan has been my role model from the start. He is such a child, but at the same time, he is very responsible, very caring. A person who works hard, who strives forward and does not leave his goal. Yes, I’m sure that he had difficult periods when he wanted to run away from himself when he did not want to do anything and feel nothing. But the pain always makes us stronger. I am glad that he can reveal his feelings in songs and show us all his inner stars, all inner shining. He guides his team and I feel that I’m the part of this ship. Want to say some words about every Stray Kids' member and about my impression after the high-touch. The VIP ticket was about 168 $, and it was worth it. Even if the VIP would be about 300 $, I would take it. Just to spend more time with them. Just to have more talks, more walks, and more informal chats about music, hobbies, Korean things, Australian puns, maybe some games, some chicken and Coke. Cause they are friends. I hope that they see friends in STAYs’ too.

Chan is VERY handsome and crazy. Well, above I already painted what I think of him. At high-touch I catch some shock cause he looks just into my side of soul lightning if I can say that. I felt that thing. My friends said that it was courtesy. Don’t deny. But in Russia, we do not always feel any notice, we don’t feel that sm listen to us truly, that someone give us the understanding that we are important. Only close friends or family do this. In good times ahah And Chan just said “Thank you” to me and to others. And after only one ‘thank you’ my heart felt up with lots of warmness and sunlight. Thank you for that. BTW I REALLY want to say “Chan-ko-chan - ko-chan means cabbage in Russian” to him. But we are not so close for jokes like this I GUESS ahah Woojin looks like a hot man with self-understanding. Actually, I suppose that every girl wants such pretty and good-flirting boy by her side. MAY I SAY SO? He seems to be very kind to others. When I stood in front of him I felt completely babygirls feelings. My friends screamed that he looks like Greece God. On the stage, he was like the bitchy bitch at the beginning and like the cutest man ever at the end. Marvelous ahah

Minho is my bias. Seems very calm but straightforward and just full of sarcasm. Love his spontaneity. Adore his skills and persistence. It was scary to shake his hand on high-touch. Sure that he has the same feelings. Nervous moment. Like you invade another's personal space. Think of him like a person who opens his emotions only in dancing and singing. Can understand it. I did k-pop coverdance and had that feeling of opening soul windows to others, when I was dancing. Magic thing.

Changbin is so damn cool. Through thorns goes to the stars. He literally reveals his soul when he begins to sing. It is felt from the side. The feeling that he has a goal about which he does not particularly extend. And he strives towards it with small steps. It was somehow awkward on the high-touch too. I wanted to make him laugh or something so that there was less stress. But it was simply ‘thank you - thank you’ and nothing more. The feeling that I lost my chance to do something better for him.

Hyunjin is so pure! And he dances merging with the music. The body does some amazing kind of magic. Something incredible at all. It seemed to me that he was also quite calm and just insanely cute. Together with this grace, he knows his abilities, his facial expressions, his body language, his state of the character. Owns everything. So it seems to me. Due to the fact that high-touch passed very quickly, my memories are completely blurred. Very sad because of this. And I’m sad because we didn’t say anything to each other but thanks; Hope we will meet again someday.

Jisung is like sparkles. Like the wind and like fire. So admirable. So sunny and so damn open-hearted. Like your best friend from childhood. Sure that he is not that simple, but he exactly does not try to be someone else on the stage. My memories are so bad, dear God...But if I am trying to remember, then there was a feeling that he was expecting something else from STAY. Maybe some crazy stuff or something weird stuff or something like "let's go eat tokpokki together". THAT IS THE PLAN FOR MY FUTURE BY THE WAY

Felix is industrious Australian maaaan. Damn Swag with freckles. When he was on stage I saw the guy who put a lot of effort in order to stand there and do what he likes and what he wants. His Korean is so good. And dance skills and of course the voice. On high-touch I caught myself on the thought that I don’t want to let off his hand. That’s the thing! <3

Seungmin - dandy BOY. He seemed to me like a very open and responsive friend. Very sincere and natural. If I had the opportunity not to hesitate in realizing at high-touch, I would start jumping as he hopped on songs of Day 6. Not for laughing at him but for laughing with him ~

Jeongin is such a kid! A little ball of fur! I want to note that he became much more confident in himself. Absolutely charming and adorable guy. He really enjoys being on stage among a large number of people. At least so it seemed to me. At high-touch... I’m scared that I don’t remember our touch of views. It’s so sad and so SAD. Really sad. Wanted to say to him that he is on his way and STAYs will help him with all his starts and new beginnings.

So Stray Kids is my fav korean band. I also love Big Bang, B2ST, 4minute, and TVXQ, but SKZ is more than just artists for me. They are like a real family who can understand me and who can support me even we don’t know each other at all. And there are lots of fans, lots of STAYs, lots of people who think just like me, but it’s not so bad, yeah? It’s not so bad to dream far. To dream about being friends with someone who you admire with. Maybe someday we will sit down close to each other and have a small talk about past concerts, about lost memories, about nothing and about everything.

Sorry for that kind of dreams. But I’m a dreamer and who are not? ~
