MY GOODNESS. it's been a hot minute since i posted the first part and i guess i just couldn't SHUT UP because this is FOURTEEN PAGES LONG. FOURTEEN. you can even see some pages where the linework is slightly different because i drew it like 6-ish weeks ago, that's how long this has been cooking. drawing in general has been hard lately because of time constraints, BUT i am so happy i finished this. this is like my fav project even tho it isnt as popular, but who cares!!!!! i truly truly will never stop being tickled by how law's braincell count just plummets into the negatives whenever he's around luffy and kid SPECIFICALLY at the same time. like if it's one or the other he copes more or less just fine. kid's a shit-starter but he's predictable and easy (and fun) to rile up. luffy runs on baffling logic but he's fundamentally easy to get along with so long as you maintain your zen and understand that he usually doesn't MEAN to get under anybody's skin. separately they aggravate law in different ways. but when they're together kid's penchant for starting dickswinging contests (or inability to not take the bait of one) collides with luffy unhesitatingly answering with a one-up that no sane person would conceive of and what the hell is law supposed to do against THAT fuckin wombo combo. get left behind and called a bitch for it? not goddamn LIKELY!!

Another thing I really have to give TF One credit for is the sheer amount of violence they got away with by virtue of all their characters being robots. Like, where else could our deuteragonist-turned-final-boss literally rip the villain in half on-screen and walk away with a PG rating?

There's something so incredibly wholesome about Ace encouraging someone to live for themselves because he's been (or is still, depending on how you look at it) in their position before.

Ace might not think that he's loved, too entrenched in his father's legacy and what other people have told him when he was younger, but even when he believes that blood relation isn't something that can be chosen, what's important is that you become something great beyond blood or titles, that the path that you go on is what you choose for yourself.

Yamato saying that Ace taught him the meaning of life might as well be literal. It's the exact thing he needed to hear from someone who knows what it's like to live a life shadowed by their father's presence.
