some headcanons i have while drawing him are semi obvious while others are bc i like it ahehahhaheha

cupid's bow lips! this was semi inspired by Mizuki Umetsu, the actor for Noritoshi in the jjk stage play! hes so. pretty. perfect guy for the role imo! i was captivated therefore my views changed.

longer hair! the thought that his bangs(? are the same length, or longer, as the rest of his hair is nice.. it also makes his inevitable haircut much more refreshing! i also just like long hair and its a fucking waste not to do whatever the i want.

thicker brows and visible eyelashes! i naturally draw thicker eyebrows because it looks pretty, but the eyelashes is so fucking canon bro. dont even fight me on this, you'll lose. i read a fic about Noritoshi where it said he took good care of himself and his appearance inspired jealousy. that fucked me up man, so now i draw him as beautiful as i can.

monolids! I've looked through the manga and i think its highly implied that Noritoshi has monolids? yk those lines in between the eye and eyebrow, he doesnt have them in the manga. i thought it was because of the expressions he had, but no. the others have them, except geto! so geto also having monolids is so fr in my head. i like that feature abt him.

loose hairs! the hairs that i draw on his face. they make him look so cute and a bit more relaxed. he's not trying to be perfect nor have a single strand out of place. he's just a bit more at ease... though if there's something important he has to go through, he sharpens up. becomes.. stiffer?

I UNINTENTIONALLY MADE HIS CHEST LOOK A BIT BIGGER IN MY STYLE AND I WANT TO APOLOGIZE, BUT I'D BE A LIAR. DOES THIS COUNT AS A HEADCANON??? I JUST THINK... SINCE. YK. HES AN ARCHER. so, annette and blackwall are like. doomed as a ship. but thats why i like it for this AU. she has an absolute need for trust, which he can't provide, and the worst parts of his life have all been influenced by orlesian nobility, which she is, but he can't say that because that was his life as thom rainier. (and i feel like that should have come up with a trevelyan warrior/rogue, that they're part of the nobility that he loathes so much. not even cullen seems to loath the nobles as much as blackwall does.)

and by WEWH, i think those cracks in their relationship are widening, even as annette pretends everything is fine because she needs to have someone in her corner, or at least someone she can convince herself is in her corner-- because she feels so alone and overwhelmed as inquisitor. and blackwall, who has put her on this pedestal, is also starting to see more of the moments where she compromises with the nobility, where she opts to scheme and play the Game instead of more head-on solutions. and that pedestal is getting a little tarnished.

the line about the wings of valor i think really puts annette on the back foot. "It was a long time ago. Back then we didn’t stop to boast about past victories when there was an assassin on the loose," he says, in a pretty hostile tone, and i think its something she can't quite turn a blind eye to, like she has all the rest. she just wanted to know something about the man she cares about, and if they announced it to the court, surely she can ask questions about it.

but no, she can't. and annette spent over a decade in orlais playing the Game before Inquisition. she knows when she's being deflected or lied to. and she's starting to wonder how much she'll just allow blackwall to lie to her as she just stays quiet and lets him.

this one took me like. probably >40 tries over the course of 4 days to get all the way through without tripping over anything too badly hence my little celebration at the end there lol

bit of backstory/context here: blackboxwarrior is my Ultimate Vocal Stim. its long and its complicated and i have a fucking AWFUL stutter so it takes some serious work to get all of it out which makes it perfect for me. you might notice that i start out relatively slow but by the end im going EXTREMELY fast. thats because this is what i also call a "momentum" song for me because there are a LOT of points where i cant help it but to speed up so if i dont start out slow it turns into vocal soup. which is typically ok for singing it under my breath but does NOT work for a recording. i also had all the vereses completely memorized but i had to reference the lyrics for the monologue- i think i have it memorized now tho because of how many attempts this took haha
