Okay okay so!! Trollhunters is a show on Netflix, and it's a part of a series of shows and one movie called Tales of Arcadia. I have not actually seen the other parts, I'm working my way back to those, but Trollhunters!! That was my shit when it came out and it's my shit now!!

So basically, the show follows this Highschool boy named Jim who is chosen to be Trollhunter by a magic amulet. He has to keep the balance between the human world and the world of trolls, all while trying to balance his normal life and stop a quickly encroaching evil from like,, basically troll hell. He has two human friends, Toby and Claire, who help him out and have his back- and it's pretty cute a lot of the time!! It's very much like,, a kids show with kid show dynamics but!! I still love it!

Where the show REALLY shines in my humble opinion is the trolls!! It's Guillermo Del Toro so you KNOW those monster designs are good. But I'm also a shameless monster lover so,,, I'm very biased. You've got Blinky, who is fucking INSANE and also Jim's surrogate father, Aarrrgh who's like,,, a gentle giant and also?? Probably Blinky's husband?? I couldn't tell you, but there really isn't a straight explanation for it. Then of course there's Angor Rot my beloved, and just!! Lots of fun stuff!!

I really highly suggest it tbh!! I will say that it does sometimes rely on potty humor and fart jokes, and it is sometimes very violently a children's show, and the animation can be a little shaky at times but!! It was a really big part of my life for a while there, and it's slowly creeping its way back as time passes. I really suggest it if you like urban fantasy and fun monster designs!!!

If I was good at editing I would have created a nice and short "opening credits" for the Arsenal's women team. Like I have everything planned and edited in my mind but on my pc I have only windows movie maker and well my video graphics skills are below to zero I'm afraid lol.

Like I have two dream versions: the "true detective" one (I know that the style is pretty overused now but I remember watching it the first time and I was like "ooohhhh coool!") and a more short one (a balanced mixture of photos and videos, kind of like "the americans" but less serious or "30 rock" quick, poppy but memorable).

I guess it will never happen, both versions are destined to live only inside my tiny stupid brain 😔
