very random continuation on your prev anon about Charles wdc saying that an eventual Ferrari championship of his would make people go "oh it's the car": if people think that they are stupid and with the iq of a piece of plastic, i don't make the rules, just stating the facts.

these arguments are really made up solely in online spaces, in real life, in between the true italian tifosi, these arguments really just make people laugh. nobody with two functioning eyes who watches races would say Charles won just with a car or thanks to a teammate.

Tifosi are hyped for Lewis, they were kind to sainz when they saw him face to face, but that will never top what we feel for Charles.

Not a single tifoso in Italy, a true one, wished a Sainz win over a Charles one. After Silverstone 2022 newpapers and everyone was saying how the wrong Ferrari won. And if one knows the tradition of Ferrari, the behaviour over wins, one would know how insane this is. Whenever Sainz won everyone had a bit of a sour taste, wishing Charles won instead.

Lewis will be respected way mooore, because he's the GOAT, and it was his aspiration to be in Ferrari, like Seb, but Charles is still the predestined, the chosen one.

no but this is kind of what i am saying! like... when i say charles is special i mean he is SPECIAL special. to ferrari, to the fans. and yes, ferrari always comes first before the driver but the thing with charles is that he IS ferrari. he is not just a hired driver he did not just sign cause it was the best and biggest pay check. i firmly believe he's gotten offers that to anyone else would have been tempting. he is not just going to ferrari to end his career there or because it is prestige and he wants it in his long record of teams... he is with ferrari because he believes in ferrari because he is ferrari because he was raised with it because he breathes and bleeds it. when they say ferrari comes first, that the team comes first, they usually mean that the drivers are just that, drivers. as a reader, you have no idea what is going on with the author. none whatsoever.

sure, it could just be they lost inspiration for the fic. that's a totally valid reason to put it on the shelf. sometimes it's hard to make progress even if you are inspired, and if you aren't, it becomes borderline impossible. stories aren't essays or bullshit work emails you can just churn out.

but it could also be something happened in the author's life. for example, their mental or physical health could have worsened and they had to start taking better care of themself. or maybe their health or life situation was bad to begin with, but it improved, and that's why they have less time for writing or fandom in general now. maybe there was a personal tragedy, or some other (even positive) life event. or maybe something they had planned to explore in the fic has become a triggering or otherwise fraught topic.

or any number of other reasons that the author doesn't have to explain. their fic isn't a product that their readers signed up for and are entitled to see finished. it's a spark of their creativity that they wanted to share for free.

like the other anon said: most authors do feel bad about not being able to finish their wips, and suggesting that other authors should finish abandoned stories is just plain offensive. "petitioning" for that is even worse. i can't imagine a more effective way of ruining the fic for the author and making them regret writing it in the first place.

I just saw your tag post and that’s kind of where I’m at too. And to the people who are acting like louis kidnapped that child, held him hostage and ruined his Christmas, get a grip and go outside. He’s an 8 year old that celebrated Christmas twice and probably got double the amount of presents, I promise his day isn’t being ruined just because he had to spend it in the UK so please relax. I don't think she did that solely to cover the Jets emissions thing. That sure is a great consequence of going to that game and she could've had that in mind as well. But this charade is way bigger to only be about a thing that she wasn't in any way getting cancelled for on a large scale. People were talking about it but that was it. She wasn't getting blasted. She is absolutely great at planning but like with everything in life, certain decisions can come with other unintended postive or negative consequences. And the Jets thing is one of them in my opinion. Take a close look at what is deleted from his Instagram. SMA. Sexiest Man Alive. Men love that title. He deletes that........ why? What around that time that got included in those articles that wrote about him being the SMA or shortly thereafter? Or he's ashamed of those photos all of a sudden.
