Finally got around to coloring this piece. Hyacinthus/Hyakinthos’ ascension to godhood.

Did you know that different hyacinth colors have different meanings?

-Yellow hyacinths mean jealously(never a good idea to gift to people. It would be insulting to them)

-Purple hyacinths mean forgiveness and sorrow

-Blue hyacinths mean sincerity, loyalty, and fidelity

-Pink hyacinths are playful joy

-White hyacinths are for deep thoughts of other people in its purest form

-Red hyacinths mean playful, light, platonic love(even though red flowers usually represent romantic or passionate love, hyacinths are a bit different, though red hyacinths can still mean romance and passion)

The Death of Hyacinthos.

It is once again the Hyakinthia, when we mourn the death of Spartan Prince Hyakinthos/Hyacinthus with Lord Apollo and celebrate his rebirth and renewal around this time.

I may create another piece celebrating Hyacinthus’ ascension to godhood if I get the time.
