It is very clear that something is burdening her. The way her shoulders slouch, the way she's sitting implying a weight and backpain. Her far away gaze that borders on tearful and the half numb expression on her face. There is little movement on her part, a hang of her head as she stares at the papers on the desk in front of her without truly seeing them. She's see's something else. The demons running around on the oak table, taunting her with insecurities and bullying her with past experiences. Papa cannot help himself he crosses the threshold and stops beside her with a clear of his throat. She slowly looks at him with a deep and forced breath. "You're not in trouble. Please stand up." He has to lead with this statement, knowing otherwise that she will panic. Her anxiety spikes high when she gets like this. She does as she's told. Slowly and another deep breath. She's trying. He can see. She's trying so hard and he's so proud of her. She got out of bed. She made it this far. She's flagging but she hasn't given up. She's getting close though, he can see it. He envelopes her in a a hug, hard, tight as he can possibly link his arms around her and squeezes. Squeezes out all those little troubles. Squeezes out all those little pains and uncertainties. "Tighter please." She whispers and he does as she asks, as tight as he can until he hears a little pop and then she goes nearly completely limp with a relieved and shuddered sigh. He feels her throat bob against his shoulder as she buries her face into his neck and inhales deeply of his smell and presence. She simply exists in this moment. Suspended in place. Bobbing in the ocean, finally with an anchor to hold on to as the waves try to sink her. Her shoulders finally sag as though the cord has been cut and he hears the softest of sobs in his robes. He rubs her back gently and shushes her, placing a kiss just above her ear. "Shh, is okay piccolina." He coos against her hair and smells that she managed a shower this morning but it still wasn't enough and he kisses her again. "Why don't we take a break? Why don't we take a nap?" She nods with another soft sob, tears she tries hard to contain but despite her efforts that manage to fall. Her breathing becoming shallow. "Papa is here. Papa will be here as long as you need him."

I finally ran out of energy today! woke up, fed and medicated all the animals, and then went back to bed. Pangur was very pleased about that, though….. having social day naps is her favourite thing in the world.
