DO NOT LOOK AT MY ELBOWS 😁 WIDE LEGGED FORWARD BEND is not exactly wide as the name says 😁 This is the pose which is usually taken by it's name so most of people, when they first start practicing yoga do exactly what name says, go as wide as they can. . ❓HOW DO WE COMPENSATE IN WIDE LEGGED FORWARD BEND❓ As with every other pose there are many types of compensation that can be done in this pose, but I am focusing on just one. When you open your legs to wide you ca easily reach for the floor with your head and end up curving your back and placing the top of the head down and in front of your feet, and if you try to go between the legs with the head your back curves a lot. . ❓ WHY DO WE COMPENSATE IN WIDE LEGGED FORWARD BEND❓ . ➿ Lack of flexibility in hamstrings and inner thights. ➿ Lack of flexibility in hips. ➿ Lack of flexibility in the back. 💪 Lack of strength and stability in core. 🚫Lack of awareness of what we should do in this pose. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖���➖➖➖➖ I am using my @gurugrid to help show you proper placement of the legs. I measured the correct distance on the do photo and it is equal to 5 lengths of my foot.
