one of the most important things terry pratchett has taught me is that it's okay to be angry. no one has ever said that to me before. he taught me that anger was an engine. that you can use that anger. that it goes hand in hand with love. he taught me to never underestimate my anger, because it's one of my strongest points. he taught me genuine anger was one of the world’s great creative forces. he taught me i shouldn't be fighting my anger, but what caused it. he himself said rage underlines everything he wrote. i never heard anger talked about so openly like that before and it's freeing, i suppose, to realize you are truly, truly not alone in your rage at the world. you never were.

i always feel bad when i see how the point of a lot of saiki's personality traits flew right over the heads of a lot of fans due to him being an unreliable narrator and a tsundere lol.. so a lot of things he says are immediately proved to be untrue and often just him putting up a front, but some people dont pick up on it..

like i see a lot of "haha saiki would never want to watch a romance movie" guys there is an entire chapter (170) dedicated to him being like "i much prefer mysteries to romance stories.." and then immediately becoming absolutely enamored with a romance story.. he was lying, guys, LMAO

less specific ones include:

"i hate children, they annoy me" *goes out of his way to help kids, comfort them, be kind to them, etc.*

"i only use my powers for self gain/my own convenience." "anyway my mama told me to never use my powers selfishly so i always use them to help people and i try my best not to use them for personal gain<3"

"those guys are so annoying, i would never hang out with them willingly." "yeah it took them about two sentences to convince me to go with them. their thoughts seemed like they really wanted me to go, so i did. i didnt want them to be upset. not that i care about them or anything."

(sorry i post about this kind of thing a lot, i just giggle a lot at how the entire manga is so easily misinterpreted and thousands of people have watched the show but didnt pick up on the main characters most defining character traits and frequent bits.. i think there needs to be a masterlist or something disproving all the extremely common misconceptions about saiki k lol)

it was so endearing to see grim being so protective of the player during the event. >w< also quite silly to see just how envious he was of stitch and all of the attention he got. it makes me think of just how huffy grim would get whenever any of the twst guys overstay their welcome or try to come between him and you.

you’re his hench-human (translation: best buddy)!!!! how dare these guys try to pull you away from him and monopolize your time and attention. >:( you’re probably one of the few friends grim has ever had, so he feels lonely and neglected whenever all of your other friends or classmates try to pull you away.

if any of them expect to be in romantic relations with you, they better be prepared to appease grim and earn his approval first. he won’t allow just anyone! after all, even though it may not seem so, he does care immensely for you and just wants you to be happy always. even though he says it’s only because it would look bad on him as the boss if his hench-human wasn’t also happy. but you know he cares.

if you’re ace or deuce (or any of the other first years for that matter), you can be certain grim is going to be an absolute pain whenever they try to rizz you up. T_T
