Blurb idea - reader is super stressed with work. One day she comes home tense/stressed & Leah gives her a romantic massage
-
The moment you step through the door, it hits Leah like a freight train. Stress clings to you, palpable, a thick haze of tension that seems to emanate from the stiff set of your shoulders and the way your jaw is clenched so tightly it’s a wonder your molars haven’t shattered. You toss your bag onto the kitchen counter without a second glance, missing the coaster she’d strategically placed there just this morning. It skids across the surface, narrowly missing the fruit bowl, which is full but somehow devoid of any fruit you actually like.
“Rough day?” Leah asks, leaning against the doorframe with the casual grace of someone who’s spent the last twenty minutes Googling “how to help a stressed spouse” on her phone. She’s wearing an oversized Arsenal hoodie that used to be yours and joggers with one suspiciously fraying drawstring. It’s her unofficial uniform for “solving domestic crises”
You let out a noise somewhere between a groan and a sigh and run a hand through your hair, which is starting to resemble the kind of frizz you only get when you forget your heat protectant spray. “You could say that”
Leah straightens, pushing off the doorframe and walking toward you. Her socked feet make soft padding sounds against the floor, a detail that somehow grates on your frayed nerves. She places a hand on your shoulder, fingers warm and steady despite the fact that she was holding a Diet Coke can just minutes ago.
“Alright,” she says, voice calm but laced with that signature Leah determination. “Take your shoes off”
“What?” You blink at her, confused, as if she’s just told you to recite the periodic table backwards.
“Your shoes,” she repeats, pointing at your scuffed loafers, the ones you bought because some article convinced you they were ‘business chic.’ “Take them off, and then go upstairs. You’re getting a massage”
“A massage?”
“Yes. A massage. You’ve been walking around like a tension-riddled cryptid for weeks. It’s time”
You open your mouth to argue, but she raises a hand, silencing you with a look that suggests this is non-negotiable. Reluctantly, you kick off your shoes, muttering something about how you’re fine, really, but Leah’s already halfway up the stairs, gesturing for you to follow like some kind of benevolent dictator.
By the time you reach the bedroom, she’s already in full preparation mode. The bedside lamp is on, casting a soft amber glow over the room, and there’s a bottle of massage oil sitting on the nightstand. It’s fancy, of course—something organic and almond-scented that she’d ordered from a wellness boutique you’d initially mocked but now begrudgingly appreciate.
“Lie down,” she commands, patting the duvet like a drill sergeant who’s somehow found themselves in a spa.
You oblige, face-down, the mattress cool against your skin. The duvet smells faintly of the lavender fabric softener Leah insists on using, despite your protests that it’s too floral.
She straddles your lower back with the practised ease of someone who has definitely watched at least two YouTube tutorials on this. Her hands glide over your shoulders, firm but gentle, and the first press of her thumbs against the knots there has you letting out a sound so indecent you’re briefly concerned the neighbours might hear.
“See?” she murmurs, her voice low and soothing. “Told you you needed this”
“You’re annoying,” you mumble into the pillow, but the words lack bite, especially when she kneads a particularly stubborn knot near your shoulder blade.
She works in silence for a while, her fingers tracing lines of tension you hadn’t even realised were there. The room is quiet save for the occasional creak of the bedframe and the faint, rhythmic sound of her breathing. It’s a kind of intimacy you can’t quite put into words, the way her hands seem to know your body better than you do, seeking out every point of stress like she’s memorised a map of you.
“Do you want to talk about it?” she asks eventually, her voice soft but not pushy.
“Not really,” you admit, and she hums in understanding, her hands never faltering.
By the time she’s finished, you feel like a different person—less like a ball of stress masquerading as a human and more like someone who might actually be capable of enjoying life again.
She climbs off you, stretching her arms over her head like she’s just run a marathon. “Well?”
You roll onto your back, blinking up at her. “You missed your calling as a masseuse”
She grins, leaning down to press a kiss to your forehead. “Nah. I’d much rather save my talents for you”

San walked out of the bathroom, a towel around his neck that he used to dry the few stray droplets of water falling from his hair.
On the other side of the room was Jieun, sitting at the desk with her phone propped up like a mirror. A straightening iron rested on top as Jieun sprayed heat protectant all over her hair.
“Choi San, put a shirt on!” she exclaimed, seeing the older boy in the corner of the screen.
He grinned sheepishly, opening his drawer to pull out a shirt. “My bad.” After slipping it over his head, he rubbed his hair with a towel to get rid of the excess water. San looked over at the girl, quietly watching as she sectioned her hair before picking up the straightener, using it to curl her hair.
Curiously, he walked closer to her, taking a seat on the bed beside the desk.
“What’s the special occasion?” he asked with a small tilt of his head. “You never curl your hair.”
Without looking at him, Jieun shrugged. “I don’t know. I just felt like it.”
“Are you going out?”
She nodded, continuing to curl her hair piece by piece while he watched. “Wooyoung-oppa asked if I wanted to try out a restaurant he heard about. Apparently they have really good steak.”
“Just the two of you?”
“I guess so.”
San stood up, slowly reaching in front of the girl before carefully taking the tool out of her hand.
“Here, let me help.”
“It’s ok, I can do it myself.” She looked over at him, reaching for the straightener, though he held it out of her reach.
“It’s fine, I got it,” he responded, taking a section of hair. “Besides, I know you hate curling the back of your head.”
She looked at him through the reflection of her phone, watching the older boy’s concentrated face as he carefully curled each section of her hair before placing it over her shoulder to keep it out of the way.
“Where’d you learn how to curl hair?”
Upon her question, a small smile made its way onto San’s face.
“I have an older sister, remember? She’d complain her arms were tired and make me do her hair for her,” he chuckled. “Plus, I’ve been watching the stylists curl your hair for the last- what? Six years? I think I’ve picked up some things in that time.”
Jieun nodded, continuing to watch as he curled her hair through her phone screen.
“What restaurant are you guys going to?” San asked.
She shrugged. “I’m not sure. He wanted to keep it a surprise.”
The older boy nodded, quickly glancing at her reflection before looking back to her hair. “You guys have been hanging out a lot.”
Jieun thought back to all her recent hangouts with the boy. Just the night before Wooyoung had come over to their room to watch a movie with her, but surely they hadn’t been hanging out so much that it was worth pointing out?
“Making up for lost time, I guess,” she eventually answered, slight confusion in her voice at the sudden comment.
“Did he ever tell you why?”
The girl froze for a moment, glancing at the phone screen to see San watching her, having temporarily stopped curling her hair to gauge her reaction. After a second of hesitation, she slowly shook her head.
“No…” she answered slowly, shaking her head immediately afterward and giving a tight-lipped smile. “But…it’s fine. He’ll tell me when he’s ready.”
Before she could look at San’s reaction, a notification on the top of her phone screen distracted her. Jieun reached forward and grabbed her phone, opening her messages to see what she’d been sent.
Wooyoung oppa: You almost ready?
She read the message over a couple times, fingers hovering over the keyboard as she tried to decide what to say. A chuckle behind her made her raise her head despite the fact that she couldn’t see her reflection.
“I’m almost done, don’t worry,” San said, having read the message over her shoulder.
Jieun smiled, humming as she turned back to her phone.
Me: Yeah, I’ll be done in a bit
Without waiting for a reply, Jieun locked her phone and placed it face-down on the desk before adjusting her posture. She let out a small sigh, waiting patiently as San continued on her hair.
A couple minutes later, San placed the straightener back down on the desk. He ran his fingers through her hair, brushing out the curls before placing her hair over her shoulders.
“Alright, all done,” he said, taking a step back.
Jieun stood up, walking over to the mirror to see the results. The moment she saw her reflection, a wide smile spread across her face.
“You’re better at curling my hair than I am,” she commented, brushing a few parts of her hair. Jieun turned to the older boy, who watched her with a fond smile. “Thank you, oppa.”
San shook his head as he walked up to her, patting her on the head before moving back to his bed.
“You should get changed now. Don’t want to keep Wooyoung waiting too long, do we?”
Jieun immediately nodded and without waiting, turned back and opened her drawers. She looked through her clothes for a couple seconds before picking out a few pieces and throwing them over her shoulder. With one final smile in San’s direction, Jieun retreated to the bathroom.
She emerged a couple minutes later, wearing a white dress with a brown leather jacket over it. San watched as she walked around the corner with a sheepish smile, brushing herself off. She looked at him expectantly.
“Give us a spin, Eunnie,” he said with a grin. Jieun laughed as she walked in a circle, placing her hands on her hips. San raised his hand to give the girl a thumbs up. “Tell Wooyoung to have you back by 11.”
She rolled her eyes lightheartedly, shaking her head at the boy. “You sound like Hongjoong-oppa.” Without waiting for a response, she reached for her bag and one of the room keys before slipping her shoes on. Before walking toward the door, she waved. “Bye, oppa.”
“Have fun~” San sang, smirking to himself as she disappeared from sight.
The moment he knew she was out of the room, San immediately went to his contacts and pressed on one, holding the phone up to his ear. After a couple rings, a “hello?” from the other side sounded through his phone’s speakers.
“Jongho, remember what you were telling me the other day? I believe you now.”

Heyy , I have curly hair and I've been going back and forth between doing chimcal treatment (protine) ,having it straight and starting my curly journey all over again, when it's summer break I love it but when school starts it gets hard to manage especially when I'm trying to look and feel clean , put up tougher. It really dose effect my confidence, do you have any tips for me please ,also I really love your content
hi angel! so i also have curly hair and yeah, 100% it can be alot to manage especially back at school. i personally would say in my experience/encounters with friends who have overly straightened or chemically treated their hair they do regret it long term due to the damage and loss of curls and overall hair health. curly hair is so so pretty and fun - so many girls would die for natural curls! the trick is to find ways to make it easier for you to manage daily and fit around school. here are some things i do to manage my curls:
wear a silk bonnet or hair wrap and sleep on a silk pillow case if possible. if not put your hair up in a loose bun or plait to prevent damage and frizz, making it much more manageable.
learn how to put your hair up in protective styles. this makes it so much easier to prevent frizz, keep your hair healthy and knot free and also stops you from needing to wash it every time you style it.
buy a hair gel! if you like looking clean and put together using some gel to slick back any flyaways can really make a difference.
fit your hair wash days around your schedule. don’t wash your hair on your busiest, most exhausting day if you can help it, go for the weekends or less busy days (for example i wash mine Wednesdays and Sundays).
know your curl pattern and what products work best for it. figuring out your hair type will help you find creators etc with similar hair type which will help you find more specific product recommendations and tips.
buy a good heat protectant and diffuse your hair if possible. diffusing saves so much time and makes your curls really stand out. if not use a 100% cotton towel or shirt to dry your hair instead to prevent damage and frizz.
buy a good smelling hair perfume or hair spray. i have a lemon scented spray that i love it helps my hair smell clean and fresh.
buy pretty claw clips, hair clips, bows etc any kind of hair accessories. they make your hairstyles stand out and are so cute that even when you just have a basic pony tail in they make it look adorable!
dedicate some more money and time into your hair. for example, get it cut before you go back to school so it looks healthy and good, buy that new hair product you’ve been eying up or a new hair oil. set aside enough time in your daily and weekly routines that you can give it the care and love it needs, but not so much you feel stressed out and unproductive. good luck! i know you will figure out how best to take care of your curls - remember it’s a process. if you do decide to get a straightening treatment just remember to take very good care of your hair health. all my love, m.

do u have any big sister tips on how to be prettier😭😭 i feel like im so behind in beauty and stuff how does literally every girl have perfect skin and hair likeee🥲💗
-invest in a simple skin care routine!! u don’t need a 20 step 100 product routine. i use an elf facial cleanser and cera ve moisturizer twice a day.
-take care of ur hair! make sure you’re not over washing it, sleep with silk pillow cases or a bonnet to keep your hair from breakage. always make sure to use heat protect spray whenever u straighten or curl or blow dry it.
-always keep chapstick or lipgloss on u to make sure ur lips are hydrated !! it makes a huge difference
-don’t overdo it on ur makeup!! a little goes a long way, u don’t need a million different products. and do makeup styles that flatter your face, not everyone looks good with the same makeup
-perfume behind the ears, on ur wrists, collarbone, behind the knees are the best spots to keep it long lasting
-confidence is key! the more confident u are the more u feel “prettier”
also remember eveyone is pretty in their own way!! don’t compare urself to others because it really does nothing beneficial for you. just stay doing what you’re doing and you will be sm happier 🤍🤍🤍 i love u sm!!!

how do you care for your hair when you use heat on it? Like what steps/routine do you follow? Not necessarily products (although they're very welcome). It's hard to know what's good and what's not since your hairdresser, just like influencers, are most likely selling you something.
I changed my haircut recently and started using heat (it's kinda curly so I straighten it and then try to curl it a little) and it really changed me and got told so much that I had a glow up, so I think that's my best look and will try to keep doing it since it looks great on on me but I want my hair to be and stay healthy so that's why I'm asking you.
Thank you for this question, I loved digging through to make this post x
I am going to talk about prevention and solutions so you can fully protect your hair. Starting with protection, and I have to say it, don't use heat regularly. Ideally you would take a minimum of three/four day break between each use of heat and this is only if your hair is healthy. If the condition of your hair is not that healthy then I would suggest going even longer (once a week, every other wash etc) between each use. To further reduce how much heat you are using, I would reccomend not using heat to curl your hair. You can easily do heatless curls and because they have been so popular, you can find easy tutorials anywhere. You can use a bonnet/ protective hair styles to keep your hairstyle for longer to widen the gap between each heat usage.
Futhermore, I would look into learning how to refresh your style so you are not having to consistenly go back and redo your hair.
You said that you straigthen your hair more so I am presuming you are using iron for that. If you are, use heat protectant made for heating irons as they can differ from standard heat protectants.
Proper use of heat protectant:
Spray the heat protectant in sections. A lot of people just spritz heat protectant on the hair that is on the top and the whole section underneath has not been protected.
You can also spray teh heat protectant on your hairbrush and brush your hair with that. Make sure to cover your entire head, I find it works better to do this just before the section you are applying heat to.
For further scientific details here is a post by a chemist that I follow on the scienece of heat protection.
I would also invest in some split end serum/ smoothing serum to help nourish the ends of your hair and help prevent breakage. I highly reccomend the Kérastase Nutritive Nutri-Supplement Split Ends Serum. I have been using for a while and it has made my ends so much smoother and less frizzy looking. This is more preventative and it saves the tears of realising that the only thing that will save your hair is a big chop.
Aftercare
You need to make sure that you are getting rid of all the product build up in your hair and making sure it is clean. I would use a clarifying shampoo every second/third wash, depending on how much product you use and whether you live in a city etc... I find that using it every 4-5 washes works for me but that is because I barely use any product on my hair.
When it comes to coniditioning, there are two types: protein and moisturizing. A good routine has both but how much will depend on the porosity of your hair. Protien hair masks help with elasticity, whereas moisturising masks help with length and shine.
I have seen chemists and hair care specialists reccomend fully deeply conditioning your hair before heat styling and for that a good moisturizing mask would do the trick. After this the general rules of hair care apply.

Tips For Everyday Grooming
On a Monday, you might want to start the week with a great style for a great impression. This day, you could straighten your hair to show off the length. Make sure you use your heat protectant spray. I am sure we have all used a hair straightener before though so style how you love to with your iron.
Tuesday can be your fun day with a flirty side pony. I tend to tie my hair back into a side ponytail and then choose pieces from the tail to curl-this way they look fresh and not smashed like they would if you would curl before tying it all back. You can even add some fun with your bangs by pinning them back or leaving them down curled to add extra flirt.
Wednesday is hump day, which means you might need a break from your technical styling. To do so, it is as easy as showering and leaving your hair with a damp look. Each time I sport this style, it saves me about ten minutes because I just put a little product in my damp hair to give a natural wave look. Sometimes I pull my bangs back for a more put-together look or leave them down.
Thursday to me is a fancy day again so I like to go with the Snooki-inspired poof. You can curl or straighten your hair for this style but if you are in a time crunch, I recommend you straighten to make things easier. I like to curl my hair (you can use any method of curling that you like) because it can hide split ends that may be visible if I straighten. Next, I make sure my part is far to the side and I backcomb the crown of my hair. Grab as much hair as you would like and pin it back behind your head about in the middle.
Friday is fun day! I love these days because I tend to go with any freestyle kind of hair ‘do that I feel like. If you are feeling creative, do not be afraid to try out a new style that you thought of on your own! My favourite style to do on Friday’s is to reuse my curls from Thursday and sport a spunky high ponytail to reflect the spunkiness that Friday’s represent.
These are some of the easiest styles you can ever do with your hair and do not take much time either. The weekends are yours to come up with creative styles or reuse any of the styles from the week. Just always remember to use plenty of protectant spray if you are going to use your hair straightener and always be cautious if you are going to tease the hair also.

National Hair Day
Maybe every day can’t be a good hair day but in celebration of National Hair Day, this one certainly can be. Join in and get ready to learn and appreciate everything fun and exciting that has to do with hair!
History of National Hair Day
Hair has been the crowning glory of the human head perhaps since the very beginning of time! In fact, researchers think the comb was used by ancient Egyptians as far back as 5500 BC. The hairbrush took a bit longer to come out though, and the Kent Hairbrush Company is recorded as having started in 1777 in Hertfordshire, England.
While wealthy people have been having their hair done for centuries, early on this was typically done either by a family member or perhaps by a personal servant.
By the mid-1700s, however, the first person to have declared himself a ‘professional’ hairdresser in Europe was Legros de Rumigny who worked for the French court. In fact, he wrote a book on hairdressing that included pictures of the unique hairstyles that he had designed. The book was called Art de la Coiffure des Dames, which can be translated to The Art of Hairstyles for Ladies.
National Hair Day is a bit newer on the scene and is just beginning to develop its own history. Founded in 2017 by NuMe, a hair care company, this day is all about celebrating the styling tools and hair care products that help to make each person’s hair as beautiful as possible.
Whether hair is straight, wavy, curly or kinky, there are a myriad of different products and tools that can help to enhance the natural texture of hair while making it look its very best. And National Hair Day is the best time for it!
How to Celebrate National Hair Day
Wondering how to celebrate and enjoy this delightful day? There are all kinds of ways! Get creative on your own, or try out some of these ideas that can be enjoyed in honor of National Hair Day:
Get a Haircut
Make an appointment at the barber or hair salon in honor of National Hair Day! Get that new ‘do that you’ve been thinking about, whether chopping it short, going for layers, adding bangs or fringe, or turning into a platinum blonde inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Don’t be afraid to go for the full shampoo, cut, color and style. The sky’s the limit when it comes to what kind of fun that can be had on National Hair Day.
Consider a New Hairstyle
Of course, National Hair Day doesn’t mean it’s necessary to go to extremes. Even those who aren’t ready for a new cut or color might be able to play around with their hair a bit on this day. Maybe start by making the part of your hair on the other side!
This is also a great time to learn a new skill that is related to hair styling. Perhaps that might be learning how to make a regular braid, a French braid or a Fishtail Braid. YouTube and other online videos can act as an excellent resource for learning with easy, step by step tutorials on how to create a new hairstyle.
Try Out Some New Hair Care Products
National Hair Day is the ideal time to pop into the beauty supply store and find out what’s new in the world of hair care products and styling tools. Perhaps pick up a new brand of mousse or heat protectant spray. Try out a new curling iron, blow dryer or hair straightener. Or even consider getting a fun new color for hair, whether temporary or permanent.
Buy a New Hairbrush
Some hairstylists say that a typical person needs to replace their hairbrush every six months to a year. Of course, this depends on how often it is used, how much product the person uses, how long their hair is and even how often they clean their hair brushes.
It’s also possible that some people have simply been using the wrong kind of hairbrush for their particular type of hair. Those who are in the market for a new hairbrush might want to consider one of these styles in celebration of National Hair Day:
Curly Hair. Many people say that curly hair should never be brushed, but if it’s necessary for detangling, then use a special cushion brush that has nylon bristles to keep the curls from getting frizzy and knotted.
Frizzy Hair. This is a complicated hair type and the best type of hair brush will tame that frizz and keep it in place. Try using a hairbrush that has bristles made of boar. The natural bristles help to distribute the hair oils more evenly throughout the hair.
Blow-Dry Brushes. People who blow dry their hair on a regular basis need special tools to keep their hair happy and healthy. The best type for blow drying are brushes that are made from ceramic and have ionic properties that repel water to shorten the drying time and keep the hair from getting overly damaged.
Teasing Brush. Looking for more volume? A special boar’s hair and nylon teaching brush gets close to the scalp to get that hair high. Choose one that has a pointed handle which can be used for creating parts or separating strands of hair.
Enjoy Some New Hair Accessories
Pop into an accessory shop or department store and check out what’s on offer these days for hair accessories. Ribbons, ponytail holders, barrettes, clips and so many other delightful products provide tons of different options for wearing the hair in unique ways. Try securing a ponytail in the back, a braid, two buns on the sides, or even a popular banana clip to hold the hair back from the face.
Little girls can get away with a brand new hair bow in honor of National Hair Day! Something colorful like Jojo’s Bows would be a fun and delightful addition to a hairstyle today, keeping things snazzy.

How to Maintain Healthy Hair:
Maintaining healthy hair is essential for everyone, but for busy online entrepreneurs, it can be particularly challenging. This guide will provide you with practical steps to keep your hair looking and feeling its best, even with a hectic schedule.
What is Hair Care and Why Does it Matter?
Hair care refers to the practices involved in maintaining the health and appearance of hair. This includes cleansing, conditioning, and protecting hair from damage. For online entrepreneurs, looking polished can boost confidence and make a positive impression in virtual meetings and content creation.

How to Maintain Healthy Hair Choose the Right Shampoo and Conditioner
Using the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type is crucial. If you have oily hair, opt for a clarifying shampoo. For dry hair, choose a moisturizing formula.
Tip: Avoid products with sulfates and parabens as they can strip natural oils and cause dryness.
Wash Your Hair Properly
Over-washing can strip hair of its natural oils, while under-washing can lead to a build-up of products and oils. Aim to wash your hair 2-3 times a week, depending on your hair type and activity level.
Tip: Use lukewarm water and avoid hot water to prevent drying out your scalp and hair.
Condition Correctly
Apply conditioner mainly to the ends of your hair, where it is the driest. Leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
Tip: For extra hydration, use a deep conditioning treatment once a week.

Protect Your Hair from Heat
Heat styling tools like blow dryers, straighteners, and curling irons can cause significant damage. Use a heat protectant spray before styling to minimize damage.
Tip: Let your hair air dry whenever possible to reduce heat exposure.
Trim Regularly
Regular trims help prevent split ends and keep your hair looking healthy. Aim for a trim every 6-8 weeks.
Tip: If you’re maintaining a specific hairstyle, frequent trims will help keep it looking sharp.
Eat a Balanced Diet
Your hair’s health is influenced by your diet. Ensure you’re getting enough vitamins and nutrients, such as Vitamin E, Omega-3 fatty acids, and protein.
Tip: Incorporate foods like nuts, seeds, fish, and leafy greens into your diet for optimal hair health.

Stay Hydrated Try This Product /
Fully Vital Hair Serum
Drinking plenty of water keeps your hair hydrated from the inside out. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Tip: Keep a water bottle at your desk to remind you to drink throughout the day.
Avoid Over-Brushing
While it’s important to detangle your hair, over-brushing can lead to breakage. Use a wide-tooth comb to gently detangle wet hair and a natural bristle brush for dry hair.
Tip: Start from the ends and work your way up to avoid tugging and breaking your hair.
Manage Stress
Stress can negatively impact your hair, leading to conditions like hair loss or thinning. Incorporate stress management techniques such as exercise, meditation, or hobbies you enjoy.
Tip: Set aside time each day to relax and unwind, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

Tips and Reminders for Healthy Hair
Sleep on a Silk Pillowcase: Silk pillowcases reduce friction, which can lead to less breakage and frizz.
Use a Hair Mask: Weekly hair masks can provide deep hydration and nourishment.
Protect Your Hair from the Sun: Wear a hat or use hair products with UV protection to shield your hair from sun damage.
Avoid Tight Hairstyles: Styles that pull on your hair can cause breakage and damage to your hairline.
Closing
By following these simple tips, you can maintain healthy, beautiful hair even with a busy schedule. Remember, taking care of your hair is not just about aesthetics; it’s about feeling confident and ready to tackle your day as an online entrepreneur. Favorite Haircare Products 2024
Hello, 2024! I was supposed to post this in December last year because I often get told that my hair looked really nice so only then that I realized that the hair products I've been using, plus new ways of taking care of my hair are really effective.
But as usual, life got so busy so I had to postpone publishing!
Anyhooo, these products have been a constant part of my haircare routine since July 2023 and I still use them til now. This is how my hair looks like as of January 2024.

Of course, I still have bad hair days, especially on days I forgot to apply Argan oil! But on lazy days where I don't feel like styling my hair, I make sure to apply a hair mist.
Lifestrong Hairfix Advanced Hair Mist
This one is a total favorite! I saw this on Nikki's IG stories (AskMeWhats) mentioning how it was on sale at Watsons that time. I got it for just 160-ish pesos at that time so I decided to get both variants and that's one of the best 160 pesos I've ever spent that!
I spray these anytime, anywhere, and apart from they smell so good, they don't leave any sticky feeling. My hair looks so shiny after and did I mention that this has UV protection, too?

I also find this useful before heat styling because it makes my hair more manageable.
Lucido-L Argan Oil
Okay, this is truly THE BEST hair product I have ever come across. I have been using Argan oil on and off for many years, maybe more than a decade now. But I would usually stop at one point because it makes my hair and scalp so greasy and it smells like wet grass for real. Not that it's a bad scent, but it's not something I'd like other people to smell on me.
This Lucido-L Argan oil was an impulse purchase when I was shopping in Hong Kong. I got it from Mannings for just 70HKD (500pesos). I tested it there and I liked the non-sticky consistency and the "expensive" scent so I bought it without expecting too much. But OMG this helped me so much with my damaged hair. I barely get tangles and washing my hair every other day became bearable because it's not icky at all. (Yes, as a tropical girl I used to wash my hair every single day, even 2x or 3x a day!)
Vitress Cuticle Coat Instant Relax
Vitress is such a classic haircare brand and I've been using products from this brand for a long time. My current favorite is their cuticle coat which I apply only at the ends of my hair after heat styling. It basically just adds shine and it makes my hair straighter. That's what I noticed about this, it's not really the best when I'm curling my hair because it weighs my curls down but when straightening my hair, this works wonders!

BENCH Fix Professional Dry Shampoo
Like I mentioned earlier, I used to wash my hair everyday, and during the scorching summer, maybe even 2 or 3 times daily. But these days, I try my best to preserve my hair's natural cuticle buy not stripping it off its moisture every wash. To counteract the grease, I just use a dry shampoo. This one from BENCH is super cheap and works well in getting rid of oil. I like how it adds volume, too!

My hair would look like this without heat styling! I'd just wash, apply hair mist and let it air dry and it'll still look like this. Applying Argan oil the night before helps so much as well :)

6 Trendy Hairstyles That You Might Want To Consider
Many people never think about their hairstyle as a way to express themselves. However, there are many trends that you can follow and try out. Here we will discuss 6 trendy hairstyles that you might want to consider for your next hair appointment. Box Braids Summertime hairstyles that are short and angled usually look beautiful. The bob hairstyle has been popular for a very long time, and it still looks stylish. In the warmer months of the year, there's something about shorter haircuts like this one that gives women a boost of confidence. If you have thin hair, adding a few modest highlights will help your hair appear thicker and volumeier.r. Box braids are also great for protecting your hair from the sun and humidity. If you’re looking for a style that will keep your hair healthy and protected, box braids are the way to go. You can wear box braids for a few weeks, or even a couple of months, before taking them out. Just be sure to moisturize your hair and scalp regularly to keep them healthy. Natural Curls Natural curls are a style that has been in for quite some time now, and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon! It can be difficult to achieve these using curling irons or straighteners. However, the great thing about natural curls is that you don’t have to worry about them getting frizzy throughout the day because that’s just part of the style. If you have shorter hair, consider using a finger coiling technique to create bouncy curls. For longer locks, try twisting them into two big braids before bed and unraveling them in the morning for natural-looking waves. Whatever method you choose, make sure to use a curl-defining product like mousse or serum to help keep the curls in place. And, of course, don’t forget to use a good-quality heat protectant. Bob Haircut Haircuts that are short and angled are always a good look for summer. The bob haircut has been around forever, but it still looks chic as ever! There’s something about shorter hairstyles like this one that makes women feel more confident during the warmer months of the year. If you have thin hair, adding some subtle highlights can help give the impression of more volume and thickness. Another thing to consider is using a razor technique on your hair, like beachy waves for example, which can help make your bob haircut look even better. There are many types of bob hairstyles to choose from, so take your time in finding the perfect one for you. Unstructured bob is one of the more popular styles at the moment. Long Layers Always use layers, particularly if you want to keep your hair appearing thick and healthy. Long layers, which may be styled straight or curled, are ideal for giving your hair movement and structure. Long layers that begin at or longer than the shoulder can be requested from your hairdresser. Another nice feature of this style is that you may wear it straight or curly. Choose lengthy, silky layers that you may dress anyway you wish for a more formal event. If you have short hair, a layered bob style like this one might give you the same appearance as those with long hair. Modern Mullet The modern mullet is an interesting and intricate hairstyle that shows off the sides of your head while keeping the top section longer. It has a grunge feel to it, but can be worn for any event or occasion depending on how you style it. Here are some tips on how to get this look. Your hair should have an inch or two at least before you start cutting into it. If your hair already starts with shorter layers towards the front, then don't cut too much off initially - just keep trimming until it's even all over. After getting rid of those first few inches in the front, use thinning shears between each layer so everything blends evenly. Make sure there are no blunt lines across your forehead - use a razor to soften any harsh lines. If you have curly or wavy hair, use a sea salt spray while your hair is damp to give it more texture and hold. The modern mullet hairstyle is pretty simple to achieve. While it may seem complicated, the best thing about this style is that just about anyone can wear it! It’s a great choice for women with curly hair because of how easy it will be to straighten out the ends and make them look more polished. If you want something that will last for a few days, this is the style for you! All you need is some hair gel or wax and a little bit of time to style your hair in the morning. The modern mullet can be worn wavy, curly, or straight- just make sure that the front section is styled neatly and away from your face. 60's Bangs The 60's bangs are making a comeback, and we're loving it! This style is all about having blunt, thick bangs that go right to your eyebrows. It can be a little bit tricky to style them correctly, but the result is worth it. If you have shorter hair, you might want to ask your stylist to cut them a bit longer so that they’re easier to style. You can wear 60's bangs straight or curly, and they work best with middle-parted hair. Add in some volumizing product before styling for extra volume and thickness. This style of bangs goes well with most face shapes, and it looks great on women with curly or straight hair. So there you have it - six trendy hairstyles that you might want to consider! Whether you're looking for a style that will make you stand out from the crowd or one that is more low-key, there is a look here that will suit your needs. Read the full article

adding a few things onto this (speaking from experience and as someone with a sibling who owns a salon, and as someone with colored hair)
• a little table salt rubbed onto blood will remove most of it before a wash if you dont have stain remover (mostly for period blood. in my experience it's worked on smaller sheet stains.)
• if you color your hair, do NOT wash your hair in hot water as it will wash out the dye much quicker. also if you can, use a color safe shampoo and conditioner so your color stays longer
• if you deal with frizzy hair, a silk pillowcase can help
• if you blow dry and/or straighten your hair, use a heat protection spray beforehand to avoid damaging your hair from heat
• when you blow dry your hair, blow it at a down angle to keep your hair from getting too frizzy and to keep it from getting too messy. (hold the dryer up above your head at an angle). if you've had your hair blow dried by a hairdresser/salon professional, it's pretty much exactly what they do.
• if you wear underwire bras like me and they snap, you can buy replacement, and stronger, wire to replace the snapped one. i've personally used https://porcelynne.com/ to buy them for super cheap. this site also has other replacement things for bras as well as tutorials/patterns on how to make your own.
• adding onto the op's first point, hand washing your bras can also make them last longer
In case no one told you growing up
Bras last longer if you let them air dry. Don’t put them in the dryer.
If you have a problem with frizzy hair, don’t dry your hair with a towel. It makes the frizzies worse. (I recently read an article that said to use a t-shirt? I brush mine out and let it air dry.)
Whites wash best in hot water. Everything else can be in cold - save on your electricity bill.
You can kill 99.9% of germs in a sponge by putting it in the dishwasher for a cycle or by microwaving it for 2 min (be sure to make the sponge damp before microwaving and to put a cup half full of water in with it and please DO NOT squeeze the sponge until it has cooled off)
Airing out your room/house and letting sunlight in every so often can decrease the number of household pests like silverfish and ants.
Black underwear is best during your period as stains are less likely to be visible.
To save money, put aside 10% of each paycheck into a savings account. It’ll add up.
Unless your hair has something on/in it (like grease or mud or something), using conditioner first can actually be the better choice. The conditioner holds in the good oils that help you hair look sleek and beautiful, which shampoo would otherwise wash away.
Speaking of shampoo - if you have long hair, washing just the bits that touch your scalp is generally enough. The rest of your hair gets cleaned with just the run off from your scalp.
If you put a tampon in and it’s uncomfortable/you can feel it, you didn’t do it quite right. A properly placed tampon is virtually unnoticeable by the wearer.
Apply deodorant/antiperspirant a couple hours in advance of when you need it. This gives the product the chance to block your sweat glands. Using deodorant just before going somewhere where you’ll sweat (this means walking outside for people in high humidity places) results in your sweat washing the deodorant off and starkly limiting its usefulness.
After running the dryer, use the dryer sheet from that load to brush out the lint catch - it gets everything off in a fraction of the time it’ll take you to get it clean with your bare hands. Paper towels also work well.
Wash your face everyday, or as often as possible. Forget which brand of cleanser is best. Just washing your face everyday will guarantee you clearer skin. And do you best not to pop pimples, as tempting as the urge may be.
Fold laundry asap after taking it from the dryer to avoid wrinkles. This may seem obvious for dress shirts and silly for things like t-shirts, but you’ll notice the difference even then once your shirts stop looking like unfolded paper balls.

Essential Haircare Tips Every Man Should Know

In today’s world of selfies and video calls, first impressions are often based on appearances— and nothing enhances your look quite like well-maintained hair. Whether you’re going to a meeting, a date, or just hanging out with friends, having your hair styled can significantly elevate your confidence. However, achieving that ideal hairstyle involves more than just a quick comb or a splash of water. It requires the right maintenance, suitable products, and a bit of expertise.
Here are the crucial haircare tips that every man should be aware of—along with advice on selecting the best hair products for men that truly make a difference.
Understand Your Hair Type
Before you start any haircare regimen, it’s vital to recognize your hair type. Is it straight, wavy, curly, or coily? Is your scalp oily, dry, or somewhere in between?
Identifying your hair type helps you select the appropriate products—such as the best hair shampoo for men—that address your unique needs. For example, men with oily hair should opt for clarifying shampoos, while those with dry or frizzy hair might benefit from moisturizing or sulfate-free shampoos.
Don’t Overwash
Washing your hair too frequently can eliminate natural oils, leaving it dry, brittle, and more challenging to style. Most men can manage washing their hair 2–3 times a week. On other days, just rinsing with water or using a mild conditioner is sufficient.
When you do wash, choose the best hair shampoo for men that is compatible with your scalp type. Look for ingredients like tea tree oil for oily scalps, or argan oil and shea butter for dryness.
Use Conditioner (Absolutely!)
Many men forgo conditioner, thinking it’s unnecessary—but that couldn’t be more inaccurate. A quality conditioner hydrates your hair, controls frizz, and makes it simpler to manage.
Seek out conditioners containing keratin or natural oils, especially if you’re frequently using heat tools or hair styling products.
Select the Right Styling Products
The variety of options available can be overwhelming—so how do you know which one is for you?
Hair Gel for Men: This is excellent for providing a firm hold and a polished look. If you need your hair to remain in place all day for a formal setting, select the best styling gel for men that ensures long-lasting hold without flaking.

Hair Styling Cream for Men: Ideal for achieving a natural look, perfect for casual, everyday styles that don’t feel overly stiff.
Men’s Beard Balm: A blend of a conditioner and a styling agent. It nourishes while giving light hold, making it suitable for medium to long hairstyles.

Understanding how and when to utilize these products will enhance the way your hair looks—and feels.
Steer Clear of Heat Damage
Are you using a blow dryer or straightener daily? Be cautious. Excessive heat can damage hair over time. If you must use heat tools, apply a heat protectant spray prior and use the lowest temperature that effectively styles your hair.
For daily grooming, gently towel-dry and allow your hair to air dry whenever possible.
Schedule Regular Trims
A trim every 4–6 weeks keeps your hair looking refreshed and helps prevent split ends. Even if you’re growing your hair longer, routine trims assist in maintaining structure and encouraging healthier growth.
If you maintain a beard or facial hair, coordinate trims to align with your overall grooming style.
Nourish Your Body and Stay Hydrated
Healthy hair begins on the inside. A well-rounded diet that includes vitamins A, C, E, biotin, and omega-3 fatty acids fosters hair growth. Ensure you drink enough water to keep your scalp and hair well-hydrated.
While supplements can provide support, a wholesome diet is your most reliable option for lasting results.
Establish a Grooming Habit
Grooming men’s hair involves more than just styling; it’s about regularity. Create a straightforward routine: cleanse, condition, apply your preferred product, and style. You don’t require an intricate 10-step regimen. A few effective steps with quality hair products for men will make a significant difference.
Bonus tip: Remember to regularly clean your combs and brushes. These tools can accumulate dirt, oil, and product buildup, which can transfer back to your hair.
Adjust Products Based on the Seasons
Like your skin, your hair reacts differently to seasonal changes. During summer, lighter products may be necessary due to humidity and perspiration. In winter, hydrating products like the finest hair serum or men's hair balm can help prevent dryness and breakage.
Modify your routine as needed, and your hair will appreciate it.
Final Thoughts
Since your hair is one of the first features people notice, it deserves proper care. From selecting the ideal hair styling cream for men to using the best styling gel for men on special occasions, investing in your grooming makes a difference in both appearance and self-esteem.
The main point? Prioritize quality over quantity. Develop a straightforward yet effective regimen tailored to your hair type and choose the best hair products for men to enhance it.
Regardless of your age or style, great hair is always stylish. So begin today—and let your hair speak for itself.

85 Shay Mitchell is ready to fix your hair! Just kidding—but correcting hairstyling mistakes is something she does as “The Fixer” in OGX’s new Bond Protein collection campaign. The new shoot finds the star—who’ also OGX’s first global ambassador—fixing “hair crimes” and encouraging new routines to achieve healthy, strong, and hyrdrated locks. However, as a natural and self-proclaimed “fixer,” that doesn’t stray too far from Mitchell’s day-to-day roles as a full-time mother, actress, and co-founder of several companies (including chic luggage brand Béis)! Below, we caught up with Mitchell on her latest OGX project, as well as her haircare do’s and dont’s, travel advice, multitasking, and how she finds inner strength. You’re OGX’s first global ambassador. How did your partnership with the brand begin? I have a funny story—I don’t actually even know if they know! I had a commercial that I was shooting, and one of my hairstylists pulled out this spray, and it was the Heat Protect spray from this line. I’ve used the shampoo and conditioner—it’s what my mom uses in Vancouver every time I went there—and I was like, “Oh, this is amazing. I got it.” Then, this heat protectant spray was pulled out from one of my hairstylists, and she had used it on me. I was like, “Oh, this is actually amazing. Now I’m not sitting here freaking out about all these insanely hot tools that you’re using.” She’s like, “No, you should carry this in your bag.” Then, that became part of my thing, and I was bringing this heat protectant spray around with me. I’d already had experience with the shampoo and conditioner because my mom was the one to introduce it to me, and now I’m the one doing that. It was just learning more about this line, specifically, that I was like, “Oh, I actually really love this. When I use the shampoo and conditioner, my hair doesn’t feel weighted down. I love that.” I really noticed a difference in just one wash, and with the heat protectant spray, it eliminated me working the whole day, being like, “Oh my gosh. That totally fried my hair. That straightener was insanely hot.” It minimized my stress from being on sets, or any sort of job. So, it was an organic partnership with that being the introduction. I think because of my lifestyle, especially right now—having two kids, going to spring break, and working on some things—it really was about simplifying different solutions in my life, and taking care of my hair knowing now what steps to do, and having my routine. It just made everything a lot smoother. It was a really organic, nice fit. Shay Mitchell You star in the brand’s new Bond Protein Repair campaign. What was your experience like shooting the campaign as “The Fixer”?It’s so fun! I was in a badass suit for the first one—it was this gorgeous Tom Ford suit that we pulled out—and I loved that I was like, “Fashion meets being this fixer hairstylist”—honestly like a strong Bond character. I loved it. It was just a really playful, but powerful vibe for the campaign. It was just super fun and empowering. I feel like, in my everyday life, I’m constantly trying to be a fixer. I am a fixer—period!—of fixing different things in my kids’ lives, but in my friend’s lives, and anybody’s. That’s something that I love to do. Getting to play this “Fixer” character who was helping these women with their different hair issues and “hair crimes,” as we called it—which we’ve all been guilty of—was really, really fun. I loved the idea and the concept. It wasn’t fixing necessarily what was broken, but more so supporting [hair that] had been through something, and providing these women with products that would help. I just loved the overall concept of it. It was super fun, super playful, and we had a great time shooting it. Is there a past hairstyle or look of yours that you regret, or wish you could “fix” yourself? Not necessarily! I don’t know if I regret anything, because now it’s given me something to laugh about. But there was a moment where I had a blonde wig [at the 2019 iHeart Radio Music Awards]. It was a lace front, and on the day wearing it it was super, super fun, but it was so hot. So, I was hot the whole time. My makeup was a little heavier, my dress was a lot, I just had a lot going on. If one thing had been taken away and done on another day, more simplified, it would have been great. Just all three of those things together were a lot. So, it wasn’t necessarily the hairstyle, it was just all of it combined. I had a really shiny sequined dress, a lot of glam, and a lot of hair, and that was super hot. It was more about how uncomfortable I felt on the inside, than maybe even looked on the outside. Shay Mitchell Strength is key to OGX’s Bond Repair line, so we have to ask: What makes you feel strong, or find inner strength in your life?Helping other people, fixing their issues. Truthfully, I even with my kids, when I can fix an argument or a meltdown or something, I’m like, “Okay, great, proud of myself.” Or even in work issues, I think sometimes things get brought up and it’s like, “Okay, we need a solution.” I’m very solution-based, so it’s like, “Yes, let me hear the problem, but then let’s figure out how to come up with a solution. That’s my thing that I do, and I carry that into not only my personal life, but in my different relationships, and especially with work. I like to be able to help people and help myself solve different issues so they don’t become a bigger issue. Shay Mitchell You travel a lot! What are some of your do’s and dont’s while on the go?I personally will do a little bit of research, but I don’t ever go into a trip with an exact itemized list of things that I have to do or an itinerary, per se. I love to feel it out when I get there, and I feel like the best experiences I’ve had has been when I’ve let locals guide me, change plans, or recommend something to me, because they do know best. I’m more “go with the flow.” And listen, sometimes that works, and sometimes I’m like, “Shoot, I should have planned out a few more things, or I wish I would have known about this one experience that I could have done.” But most of the time, I’m more of a “go with the flow”-type person when I travel, which makes it easy for anybody that’s with me, and also on my own, it’s a little bit easier. That’s my thing. My other thing is I over-pack, and I’m okay with it. I’m not shy to bring a couple more check-in bags than may be necessary because I’m like, “Okay, well, at least I knew I brought that jacket that I wanted, and now I’m using it this time.” That’s not really a tip, because I don’t know if everybody would benefit from doing that—but I do, for sure! What are three essentials that you can’t leave the house without, or always have in your bag?I would say, honestly, 1,000%, the heat protectant spray from this Bond Repair line, because I’m always on set and that’s just something that’s in my to-go bag, truthfully. It’s just something that, like I said, eliminates stress when I’m on a job. I know that when I use that, they can go ham with their tools, and I feel okay. So, I have that in my in my bag. Any products that I carry are probably in a Béis bag, just because I’ve created it to have function. I have quite a few, so I can pick what one I need for whatever it is I’m doing during the day! I’m into a good face sheet mask. I just got back from Singapore, and I went into the drug store and just bought a bunch. There’s not one specific brand or one that I have fallen in love with yet. I just like the feeling and the routine of it all. For everyday stuff, a cell phone charger—I never leave home without that, and assorted condiments. You act, parent, and lead your companies Beis, Onda, and Amore & Vita Inc. What’s the secret to balancing multiple roles at once?Having an incredible team around me! The support that I get from people in my life—friends, family, people that I work with—make it possible. So, period, people. I would also say simplifying things. Being able to simplify, have my routine that I know is my go-to, I don’t have to think about it, is great. Same with fitness, and knowing I have my certain workouts and those are planned throughout the day, because for me, that’s therapeutic. Also, being able to now prioritize things a lot better than I used to in my 20’s. Knowing what’s important and what I can say “no” to has also been a really important lesson I’ve learned over the years, especially now being a mom. It’s just consistently learning about what makes life a little bit easier, what small ways and small changes and things I can do. But also, being around incredible people that I learn from consistently and that help me be able to do it all. What’s coming up for you this spring? Any projects you can tease—or vacations in the works?Always a trip planned. I wouldn’t have even called this last one a vacation; when you travel with two kids, you’re basically just parenting in a different environment! I do have a lot of fun work stuff that’s coming out. I shot a movie last year that I’m really excited about that will be coming out, so stay tuned for that. And honestly, even just this role of “The Fixer” that I got to play in this OG X commercial was so much fun, and I’m excited to be able to post about it—that will also be coming out soon. Then just more fun stuff with Beis, a lot of different drops we have for the remainder of this year, which I can’t wait for—and also what we’re designing for next year. So, a lot of fun stuff!
