I wasn't sure if I wanted to make this post, but it feels nowadays like no matter what I say, people will find something wrong with it. I can't say anything about transmasculinity without someone with 'TERFs dni' in their bio foaming at the mouth about it.

Cause it ain't just the radfems & the TERFs, half of the damn queer community is like this as well.

And my main point here is that I fucking despise being a transmasc writer. People fucking despise transmasc creators in general!

Final Fantasy XIV certainly isn't my first MMO, and I've been alive enough decades to be way too jaded about everything. Yet here I am, crafting these images of my friends (virtual representations of them) and feeling all kinds of ways the entire time.

I met Hazel and began raiding with him back in Shadowbringers. That's actually when I met Nolanel, too; I initiated our friendship when I messaged him privately for Paladin advice. He was the only other Paladin player I knew at the time, and I wanted to become a better raider.

We got along almost instantly.

In Endwalker, Hazel and I ran a second static to clear for Nol and some other friends. This is when we met Ris, who was recommended to us as a DPS by someone in our main static. She grew on us immediately, and I eagerly roped everyone into the RP-GPOSE-tumblr pipeline. Sorry, not sorry.

Come Dawntrail, Ris will be running her own static while Hazel and I go back to our main group, with Nol coming along as a fresh DPS. We've already made plans to reconvene after Savage, though, to get our DSR clear together.

I hope, too, that Pigeon will keep listening to our bullshit. She mentioned once that no matter how many times she watches us prog, she still has no idea what the fuck the mechanics are. Still sticks around though, giving us moral support (and watching us play with cursed objects in Phasmophobia). So there, in those images, is Odette greeting our tired asses after raid and asking us how it all went.

Fuck. It's been a real fun time.

I've really loved getting to know all of you. I really look forward to traumatizing developing our OCs more in Dawntrail together.

"Don't panic, you guys! If Daichi explained what happened, they will understand." Yuria tells them, assuring them with pats on their backs. Little does Yuria know, it's sorta Daichi's fault to begin with after provoking the curse and thinking it's a good idea.

Taz giggles after getting pat by Gojo. "Unnn Goooogoo..." Taz laughed, she thought of Gojo-sensei as a fellow family member.

After Daichi's pleads, Gojo takes the children gently. Daichi thinks that he is going to examine them with his Six Eyes. But then he blinks to see Taz giving to Sukuna and Yuji to Kinie.

Huh? What he is doing?!

"What? It's cute this way! Now you both look like parents!" He said. "I bet your real kids would be cute too for little pups." Gojo spoke.

Oh my freaking god! Does this man not take anything seriously. He sees Taz let out a happy cry when being held by Sukuna. She goes to nuzzle against him saying, "Papa!" while giving Sukuna the biggest smile and cute puppy eyes.

Kinie blushes when hears Yuji saying 'Mama' and kiss her cheek. She has no idea what to do so she cradles him in her arms slowly with a small smile. Still, she is annoyed when Gojo is taking more pictures. She is ready to sic kinfolk at him.

Daichi has enough.

"GOJO-" Then a phone rings. Oh, what now?! It was coming from Saturo's phone and the caller ID is Shdwkyz.

".....Please...Please make them stop saying that.." Sukuna was trying to stop the heat in his face but it was hard when hearing the little ones saying it over and over.

"And I'm not trying to! I can't help it!" Gojo said pouting. "Yuji and Taz are adorable as little kids just look at them! Their so cute!" he said smiling. "I think Sukuna and Kinie would be cute as parents or maybe have real one of their own-"

"GOJO, I SWEAR IF YOU DON'T SHUT UP I'M GOING TO-"

"But come on their cute!" Gojo was smiling petting Taz and Yuji's head still happily finding them adorable. "All cute and adorable. So cute.." he smiled. Yeah, he's not listening to them.

Even seeing Megumi and Nobara panicking now. And saying 'were dead' over and over again.

"HEY! I exorcised the curse before he did his spell cast!" Daichi said.

"Before?! You were on the ground when he done it. It was after!" Kinie points out.

"She's right! so don't start that!" he said.

Daichi groans, "Okay, yeah after! Darn it! Look, Gojo-sensei! Can you please…PLEASE use your Six Eyes on this curse cast upon Taz and Yuji to get information from it?! PLEASE?!" Daichi said. He is begging here.

"Wait, he's right! Gojo, maybe you can to see what we can do!...Gojo?" Nanami saw him gently take the little ones but goes to the curses.

"What do you want no-" that's when he gently gives Taz to Sukuna to hold. "..." And he did the same to Yuji to give to Kinie.

"Gojo...what are you doing?" Sukuna growls at him.

"What? It's cute this way! Now you both look like parents!" He said. "I bet your real kids would be cute too for little pups." he said. This made Sukuna blush worse to glare.

"Just stop.." he said but heard Yuji giggling now nuzzling and hugging Kinie.

"Mama! Mama! :3" He said to his tail wagging and him nuzzling her cheek to kiss it, being adorable. "Mama..."

Yo! I'm V Saintsin. Or V or Vin or Saintsin or whatever you want to call me that sounds right on your tongue. I'm a self-proclaimed Social Media fumbler who got a late start to the party and has never quite figured it out. I hate how hipster and edgy it sounds to say "I'm bad at social media" but like I used to work with some people who actually managed the social media accounts for the business we worked for and there were rules and whatnot and damn, I think online media is just not my medium. Looking back, i think one the things that brought the hater out of me the most during qsmp (regarding the players themselves and the story) was how so many decisions made, and arguments defended, based on ooc criteria.

Like, ok. I love bagi. I adore bagi. I recite prayers for bagi every night before i sleep. I am not saying bagi — or anyone else that wouldve been invited if other ppl won — shouldnt have been invited to the qsmp. But my GOD the opportunity for the election winner to chooses someone to send to what's essentially an open air PRISION is insane to me. No islander fucking WANTS to be there so WHYYYYY would they subject a loved one to the SAME TORTURE??????? (except like bbh inviting skeppy cuz whatever they have going on is kinda weird and they're both old as fuck so who cares)

It is a fun decision out of the rp. It gives the players a nice prize if they manage to win. And it could've stayed at that, an ooc prize. But NO they had to mention it canonically. More then once. So much that some players (cof cof) argued bbh shouldnt win bc he would invite skeppy in a non democratic way. That was a CANNON ARGUMENT. MADE BY A PLAYER.

I cant stress how much i hate this decision. I can't stress how much i adored the story and these little things broke the immersion so much for me.

How did NO ONE go against inviting someone to basically be a little lab rat???????? Not even like cellbit. Or baghera. Or anyone else.

The mods thing is less insane. Also very ooc, but not as infuriating in lore, bc it is just a fun decision thing and not like,, idk, choosing a friend to send to an open air torture house. Still broke the immersion for me a lot tho.

And now with fucking purgatory. Oh god.

This time it wasnt even Qstudios' fault (which sounds insane considering,, well, the array of poorly analyzed decisions). It was the fault some of the players that decided that "in meta this doesnt make sense!!!!! they wouldnt do this!!!" is a valid argument to bring into an IN CHARACTER DISCUSSION.

All the things tubbo said abt the cursed team were in character. All his arguments were perfectly cohesive w the things qtubbo was supposed to know, and all the times he talked to them he was playing the character. Just for them to reply w "i think ur wrong bc qstudios wouldnt do this in meta bc there HAS to be a winner"

NO THERE DOESN'T????????? Purgatory was a poorly planned and poorly executed event that id argue shouldve never existed but oh my GOD.

This is gonna sound corny but if you look at the cursed team in a completely meta perspective, the objective wouldve been very clear — force the teams to unite so that the cursed team would win (remember that if the cursed team won they could get all the eggs back instead of only 1) .

The moral here wouldve been that friendship is magic ✨ (< sorry)

And to be honest, that would've been a much more tolerable event. I wont elaborate; u all know why.

Idk if qstudios shouldve been more clear abt it, or even if they thought as far as i did — considering, well, everything that we know today. I just think not listening to someone saying things w proof bc "in meta they wouldnt do that" is dumb and breaks the immersion so much for me.

They couldve discussed it like that in their ooc convos. But they did it during rp and thats what i dont like.

Anyways sorry for this rant i woke up a hater today,, i hope this makes even a little bit of sense. Also this is not a hate to the ccs, still adore (most of) them. Sometimes ppl make mistakes and thats totally ok!!!!!!! Regarding the elections i think it was mostly a poor decision and direction from qstudios then the players' fault. Purgatory was the players themselves (in this specific case) tho..

Violet sat on the couch with a small plop, tapping her fingers against her legs as she did so. There was something she wanted to talk about, something she wanted to ask, but her voice had become stuck in her throat. It had been for weeks. 

She wondered if having it trapped there was what made her so fidgety, unable to keep her hands still, her partially dyed blonde hair a frizzy mess from how many times she’d run her fingers through it. She desperately needed to get the words out, but they just weren’t coming, and so she sat there twiddling her thumbs wishing she could telepathically speak to Ellie. Perhaps that would be easier than saying it out loud. 

Ellie was lounging on the couch, her nose stuck in a book and nestled into the corner with her feet propped up on the edge of the coffee table when Violet plopped down next to her. At first she kept on reading, until she noticed how long Violet went without saying something, which was very unlike her, chatterbox that she was. Peeking over the top of the book, she noticed the way her wife’s hands twisted in her lap and the stiffness in her body that was a sure sign of nervousness.

Closing her book, on alert but not yet worried because nervousness was nothing new for her love and did not always indicate a crisis, she pushed Violet’s knee with her foot to get her attention, offering her an easy, affectionate smile.

“Dottie, everything alright?” she asked, knowing if nothing else, the nickname would get her to smile. 

“Hmm,” Violet looked over and chewed on her lip, not quite registering the affectionate nickname. “Oh, I’m fine.” No, she wasn’t.

She almost cursed at herself for being unable to be honest, even when probed, however gently it was. She knew Ellie would be able to tell, she always was, no matter the circumstance. Whether Violet was biting back her anxiety and putting on a very convincing performance that would show otherwise, or even a shift in her demeanour during their routine before bed, Ellie would point it out and drag the information out of her piece by piece. 

“I mean. I am fine,” she finally said. “But I just had…I had something I wanted to ask you.”

When Violet didn’t even smile, Ellie sat up, leaning forward so she was close to her, her mouth turning down into a frown at the corners. Her head tilted to one side as she searched Violet’s face until she answered. 

“What is it?” she asked gently but with a firmness that hopefully conveyed her steadfastness to listen, support, and solve any trouble her love could possibly have. At the same time, she reached to place her hand over Violet’s, squeezing gently to pause their fidgeting. 

Violet chewed on her lip and looked down at her lap where Ellie’s hand was wrapped over hers. She marvelled at how it brought her such calm. She wondered to herself how it was possible to love someone as much as she loved Ellie; that was why she wanted to ask her this. Ultimately, it boiled down to that simple, fundamental thing that pulled them together even when the universe pushed them apart. 

“I…I want a baby,” she whispered. “I know we’ve talked about it here and there, but I…I think I’m ready for that. I just wasn’t sure if you were, too.”

Shock instantly fell over Ellie’s face because, despite years of trying to train it otherwise, her face had not once kept a secret. Whatever she had been expecting, it hadn’t been that. 

“A baby?” she asked, immediately realizing how that sounded when she hadn’t meant it in any sort of judgmental way. She just hadn’t processed that her wife had gone from ‘just thinking about it in the future’ to wanting it right now. It was a lot to take in, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t open to the idea. 

Her face softened into curiosity, and she took both of Violet's hands into her own. “You’re sure you’re ready?” This time her voice matched her heart—inquisitive and genuine, inviting honesty. 

“El, I’ve been thinking about it for months,” she finally admitted. “I feel like it’s calling to me.”

Violet gingerly took Ellie’s hand and placed it on her stomach. 

“Could you imagine it?” Violet was almost beaming at the thought. “Our child, Ellie.”

But just as soon as her smile came it faded again at a thought that flashed through her mind. 

“You don’t think I’m too young, do you? Is that why you’re worried?” she asked, referring to Ellie’s initial reaction. 

Ellie sat with her hand on Violet’s stomach, pressing her palm lightly into it while her eyes went to Violet’s face. Her blue eyes were bright with optimism and excitement, her whole face lit up at the idea, and Ellie’s heart melted into a puddle. A smile burst across her face, and she brought her other hand up to cup Violet’s cheek.

“You probably are. We both probably are. But when has that ever stopped us?” she laughed. 

She rubbed her hand across Violet’s stomach, still beaming as she said resolutely, “If you’re ready, I’m ready.” 

Violet grasped Ellie’s face gently in her hands, pulling her into a tender kiss. Each kiss with Ellie felt like a hope and a dream that was almost in her reach, and this one, which she had been holding close to her heart for months, was finally clasped between her fingers, and she wasn’t letting go. 

“I am just as ready for this as I was when I said I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you,” Violet whispered against Ellie’s lips. “You are my everything, my light, my love. Call me greedy, but I want more of this. Of us.”

Somehow, despite already feeling overwhelmed by it, another wave of love wrapped around Ellie, making her feel as if she were riding high, sailing atop the highest crest over the widest ocean. Violet had always made her feel that way. As long as she had Violet’s love, she could do anything, conquer any obstacle, achieve any dream, because she already had what she wanted most in life. Anything else was just extra. 

She kissed her again, a little deeper, holding her close so that when it ended she was able to rest her forehead against hers.

“A little Violet Ledger,” she mused, her voice full of a daydreamy kind of enchantment. “I can’t wait to get to hold another little piece of you.”

Violet felt overcome with emotion, her thumbs tracing along Ellie’s cheekbones as she took everything in. They were going to start a family. Their family. She sniffled a little, fighting back happy tears before kissing Ellie again, not knowing a better way to respond to her comment. 

“Maybe we should start making some phone calls then?” she suggested, her smile almost crystal clear in her voice. 

Ellie couldn’t help but laugh. The second Violet got an idea in her head, she was already scheming and organizing. Of course, this would be no different.

“I guess so. Nothing like jumping right in, huh?” She booped Violet’s scrunched nose, so endeared by this woman she loved before suggesting she start with a call to her OBGYN, figuring the person who delivered babies probably had the most knowledge on how to go about making one when you couldn’t just do it at home. 

Before Ellie could even breathe, Violet was up and out of her seat, making her way to the phone and looking through her black book to find the correct number before dialing it. She chewed on the inside of her cheek while still looking at Ellie with a wide smile. It truly felt like the beginning of everything.

been thinking about it lately and Ascended Astarion = Dead Dove content and I'm not sure that's really understood, even by the writers. when I finally got around to the character I decided to ascend him with, I was SUPREMELY disappointed by the conversations options following it. it seemed like the dialogue choices were trying to push the narrative on my character that they made this choice w/o considering the consequences and they are bound to regret it. the closest I could get to answering his question of "why did u let me go thru w it?" was "I wanted u to be powerful".

but with that character? my accept Bhaal durge? that isn't the reasoning. at all. (related: "what do u want as a reward?" "ur body" was the closest answer my character could give. otherwise I'd've answered "murder :))")

for context, this run was born of a conversation w my friend discussing supposed content no one had seen bc "no one's that evil". we thought, what's more evil than killing literally every npc? I failed the conceit of the challenge immediately bc I can't handle senseless animal cruelty in my games. killing children? fine (u need a mod to do this in BG3, but I am thankfully plenty delighted to use mods), killing a neutral animal npc? no can do.

so I started this durge (they are the only character that can come close to "killing" Gale with that first interaction) run with the intention of killing everyone except Shadowheart (only a cleric of Shar can truly kill Aylin) and Astarion (bc I need to smooch him). (and there is a mod for playing an origin character as durge, which would have meant playing as Shadowheart, but I MUST smooch Astarion and I don't tend to do het or female romances, unless I'm forced to (*sighs dreamily* oh, Garrus Vakarian). I'm just not interested in that set of equipment in that way, so may as well just make a durge dude.) somehow something went wonky and Halsin ended up joining us and I was so perplexed I just allowed him to stay. (he's meant to attack if u destroy the grove but free him anyway, but instead he just showed up that night and went straight into his Moonrise spiel. is it bc the wolf Silver never aggro'd me and thus survived???) so I fixed the Shadow Curse all while killing every single humanoid and hostile animal in acts 1 & 2. including Thaniel, which makes Halsin's talks later in act 3 of getting news from Thaniel and the Grove hysterical. idk what I did but I sure as hell broke this poor man.

(on a related note, Halsin will give out to u when u accept Bhaal, but will still give u the "u have exceeding my expectations, also we should bang" in the same conversation. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I DID BUT IT'S DARKLY FUNNY.)

in the conversation when Astarion is expressing surprise that u let him go thru w it, my durge is just like, yes my motivation is that I like to kill ppl :))). it's not a sex thing for him (that is separate from the murder!), but he's still fine w the outcome. yes, Astarion looks down on him, but that's fine! he's allowed to be wrong about that, durge doesn't care. so long as Astarion lets him kill ppl he genuinely just does not give a shit.

(I actually had the idea that if Halsin were to ever rediscover his morals and tried to leave he'd ask Astarion to turn him so Halsin would not have a choice. as I said, this durge *does not fucking care*.)

this is probably the only character I will play that would let Astarion ascend bc I enjoy dead dove SOMETIMES, but not always or in large doses, but I get so few dialogue options that convey that in an rp sense! I don't think the writers/devs REALLY took that into consideration, sometimes. like, yeah, there are going to be ppl making fucked up choices but surely no one would go THIS far! for THIS reason! honey, u need to look up the Dead Dove tag on AO3, there are absolutely ppl making choices for those fucked up reasons.

(and I understand the whole "this confirms to Astarion about sex yadda yadda". even if that's not Tav/Durge motivation, that's how ASTARION would *interpret* it.)

(oh yes, and also, don't let Orin abduct Yenna. it doesn't matter whether u find out in camp or the sewers, Grub will not survive. I was devastated. if I'd known, I would have made sure Halsin was available for her, but she won't abduct a party member or someone ur romancing.)

long story short, I want to play a durge that even ascended Astarion finds unsettling. that's the dream.

Hello there, duck!

Your run sounds delightfully evil! I wish I could play one of those, haha, but I'm too soft hearted. My one evil run with my durge Salira was ended before even entering the grove because I felt horrible after getting rid of Gales hand! Seriously, I can barely take killing the squirrel as durge, and I always save Alfira because I feel horrendous otherwise!

(Fun fact, on all five runs I've done Yenna just vanished at some point and grubs was left standing in my camp, which was like...eh?)

And yes, Halsin is always somewhat of an issue, isn't he? He's just running around, causing mayhem in peoples games because he seems slightly bugged out, haha. I had one run, where he wouldn't go to the spot where we save Thaniel because he joined the fight against Marcus at Last Light and somehow got stuck, for some reason. Same run, none of his vocals would play, which was also very interesting. Everybody would make noise when they climbed or got hurt but Halsin was always silent and just there! And in another run the dude really straight up hated me - he was so mean and snappy, I swear to god he wanted my Durge dead - and then he suddenly went: "Hey you're super cool and strong and I just want to gently fuck you beneath the moonlight if you'll let me" and I was like: Say what.

Regarding the dead Dove: I've talked to people of Discord before, and some of them mentioned something similar a couple of times, but personally, I do think the writers actually knew what they were doing here!

Of course, I do agree that it relies heavily on the regret notion and that it somewhat shoehorns you into a certain narrative corner, I noticed that too when I was ascending him for research - I hated doing that, but all for the asks, haha - but I thought it was really fitting for what it is!

The bad ending, that is. I know we all somewhat forget that because of how people view him as a character, but ascension is the bad ending. Even on an evil run, where your character may have considered all options, it is very likely that Tav hasn't accounted for one very important part of being a true vampire.

The obsession.

It's still somewhat mild in the game, though definitely there, but it will only get stronger as time goes on, and it will probably get to the point that the only escape is death. Either his or Tav's. So, in the end, ascension will come with an armload of regret and the writers were making sure we know that.

And, on top of that, even if we let him ascend in a pursuit for power - or in in your durge's special case: murder :) - we still cast spawn Astarion aside because he doesn't fit our needs, thus making it very clear to him that who he is isn't enough and his behaviour is the price we now pay.

It's pretty much the same with all the other companions as well - justiciar Shadowheart and ascended Lae'zel, for example. However, it doesn't bother us as much, because we have different expectations towards ascended Astarion than, for example, dark justiciar Shadowheart. We don't expect a positive narrative here, a narrative where becoming shady-shar's loyal subject isn't an objectively dumb decision to make, so we don't mind the dead dove as much. It's exactly what we've been expecting - and Aylin even warned us how Shadowheart would change upon becoming a dark justiciar - so yepp. This went exactly how we thought it would and this is what we wanted.

Astarion, however, is a somewhat special case, because his bad ending is, by far, the one that gets the most romanticised. He's so heavily romanticised by so many, that the bad parts nearly start to fade, even with those who don't like the ascended ending. It becomes just 'the other ending', if you will.

And yet, it's still the bad ending.

Ascension is the bad ending for a character that we've somewhat given up on. That we misunderstood so deeply, mayhaps, that we traded his entire being for power and, quite frankly, beauty. We showed him that he isn't enough, we let the boy run and hide the only way he knew how and now we're faced with the consequences and yes, it's really dead dove but...what did we expect?

palisade 50 / finalisade pt. 5

structure thoughts

okay, i have a lot of thoughts re structure this week. i had these last ep too, but i wanted to give it another episode to see how a few things shook out, because fatt tends to move quite slowly in that way. (also i had just gotten cursed with dawn work and had no brainroom for real thoughts.) i do still think there's room for some of these things to develop, and fatt tends to hang together much better in retrospect. but this is my read right now.

the reintroduction of cas'alear & co: i am content to wait a bit for some interaction with them or some explanation of why they're here, because palisade is currently being forced through seven separate funnels and a brand new problem won't fit somewhere instantly. that said. bro we better find out what's up. they're physically on the blue channel, that can't just get handwaved

and re material circumstances of blue channel & crew--to my eye the dice valuation of relationships is causing some real siloing off of characters and storylines. which is really unfortunate because the bonds between the crew were a huge strength of palisade and it just feels like an oversight to miss that in the finalisade. (this is also a factor of not doing a ton of rp in this game. one thing i'm really missing is bringing the misfortune options into the result of a scene.)

and on a similar note, i really liked august's scene with righteousness, but it could've been even better if palisade had engaged more with delegate characters and what it means to be a delegate throughout the season. instead this & a bunch of other thematic threads are being advanced way more actively than before now that it's the finalisade, which feels kind of hollow.

i also really wish eclectic was still around. having had a leap scene, i've solidly come down that it was a bad narrative decision to kill eclectic. introducing a new (to the season) character in the middle of the finalisade, on top of a bunch of other new/er pcs, was always gonna be awkward, and leap doesn't work here. his goal, to take kesh for every last cent, has a very similar problem to clem's--kesh isn't there. which is less of a direct issue when the end goal is just "steal", but it's still a goal from a partizan paradigm, not a palisade one. you know? like, leap's fixated on kesh and kesh is a shrinking speck on a planet with new and different problems.

also ideally leap's reintroduction would create contrast for the ways brnine and thisbe have changed since partizan. maybe we will get to that later.

hey i actually think talking about a justice system would be extremely relevant given how many characters have goals in that direction?

i think overall my sense is that finalisade feels disconnected from the rest of the season due to all the character changes and some rushed thematic work.

anyway obv this is fatt so there's every chance all of the above will be resolved by the end of finalisade but from here i'm feeling a little doubtful

jesset's gun arm! i stopped to wonder which it was back when that happened, but since it wasn't addressed i figured it was intended to be his prosthetic arm. wild.

the autonomy reveal... love when a reveal is so well seeded and rings so true that you have to be like "hang on was that not already canon". very cool. very perennial. miserable, also.

taking a minute though to sit and think about perennial and loneliness. also taking a minute to think the phrase "did perennial effectively utilize girl power in creating autonomy itself".

re cori's scene: the suggestion that perennial's consecration might change the flora and fauna really caught my ear. not beating the "millennium break is also colonizing palisade" allegations. it seems like they went another direction (just the sky changing?) but that rang really weird to me, especially when the colonial angle of gardens wrt the bilats had just been raised a few episodes ago.

i kinda ended up disconnecting from his Design as a Whole and the alt palette didn't really fix it but nonetheless he's never leaving my possession. it's weird cause my brain can really only connect fully to one character per Thing/Setting as a Sona who is Me so ever since splitting off into otter I don't feel FULLY connected to either the way I once did to surli :( but I am experimenting with having multiple sonas and maybe ill try that thing people do where they also do sonas for different Aspects of themselves so I don't just have an army of Normal Nice Blonds

he was a bit of an experiment in "CAN I have more than one fursona?" and also "CAN I make a sona who isn't Exactly Like Me?" i've always seen people whose sonas have Supernatural Elements and been like how can you do that. I respect it so much but if EYE am a normal human person how can I connect to something with strange abilities and qualities. and I still couldn't go so far as like... my friend whose sona is an honest to god several stories tall kaiju with a backstory and shit, but lee has supernatural luck and a connection to/control of storms/lightning because that's sick and awesome and cool. and also glows and has cool antlers when he wants. he's not as me as the others but he's there and he's not... NOT me?

unfortunately I DO love his stupid ass. you know how sometimes in a comic or animated show there'll be some obscure reference to one of the creators or someone on the team like as a gag that goes over most people's heads well he's supposed to be that. his appearance is me at my worst (needs haircut + shave) and he has the OP superpower of putting people in pocket dimensions of altered reality he controls entirely but he ONLY uses it to make stupid filler bottle episodes like They All Have To Play Softball or Beach Episode or whatever. represents my oft-abused ability as a creator to Put Those Guys in a Situation. he's not so much a sona (cause if I made a silver city sona it would be genuine not this greasy freak) but he sure is Representative of Me.

coasty woasty... made for the nephfei world for the spinxyn closed species. first closed species sona ive ever had and i think hes neat! nephfei is such a well designed world that is really conducive to stories and characters influencing each other's arcs but coast is just some guy he's just there. he just lives there and minds his own business. (he has no gifts or curses so nothing really requiring a Story) but maybe i should get him some Friends at least maybe i can have a sona who has Story OC Friends from other people and still be like yes thats me if i was friends with everybody's ocs

it was suggested since I have a very hard time being In Character (i get so self conscious) that I start with a character similar to myself! so august is incredibly Just Me FR. if i were to go on an adventure i would be bad at it and terrified. his campaign is suspended due to Life but i accidentally, due to knowing nothing, picked a pretty OP blend of stats that has made him bizarrely competent (not like. the best in the party or anything but he really can hold his own and once like critted twice and turned invisible and flew and killed a dragon) and honestly that's hilarious and I like it for him
