Afterwards, she felt like they spoke about her as if she was something holy. A saint (or something). 

Vampires weren't holy and they definitely were not saints.

In reality they were the complete opposite of everything a saint should be. They were the dragons that they killed, the blade that was used to cut their throats and the pyres upon which their bodies were burned.

She didn't like the idea, anyways. Remaining ever thankful that they stopped it (but she still took on the pain of others, so she may as well have been one).
