Been working on this since chapter 4, and got SO STUCK on the stupid ice. How do you draw ice?? Heck if I know. People here are nice tho, so I'm sure you'll like it even tho the ice sucks. QwQ

This is a scene from chapter 4 of Apex Polarity by @naffeclipse. The exact scene is under the cut.

You stiffen when he takes your arm. His hot breath bleeds into the frozen air, and you inhale the scent of salt and iron.

“You need to be good,” he growls softly. This close, you can feel the vibrations in your chest, and gasp quietly. His mouth curves higher at the corners, “Didn’t I tell you I wouldn’t let you get cold?”

“Yes, but—” you stop when he tugs you closer, not ripping you down, but guiding you with a firm, gentle hand to your knees. His arm snakes around you, wrapping you in his overwhelming stretching to cup the back of your head and softly lay you onto your back. He cradles your head until he places it softly on his laid-out arm, like a pillow. You balk. 

Reflectively, your arm shoots up to cling to his shoulder. Your glove slides across his wet, pale flesh, the marking quickly cutting into black, and he stills. Your breathing stops.

Eclipse's eyes fall slowly to your arm. His head turns in the slightest to stare down at your trembling fingers curling within the warm padding of your glove. The saltwater of his fins drips lightly.

“I’m sorry,” you blurt in a rush of frigid fear. 

“Don’t,” he hisses, then softer, much softer, he almost sings, “Don’t apologize for touching me, beautiful.”

Your eyes widen. For a breathless moment, there is only the fog of his breath and the distant howl of arctic wind. This low, however, shielded by both the alcove and Eclipse’s body, you aren’t touched by the bitter gales.

Your love was as passionate as the golden light shining through the open windows as you and your lover both lovingly look at each other in the morning. It was like this every single day. No amount of anger, fights, and pettiness could dissolve such wondrous moment from both of your life. You loved him, and he did too. He alone believed that it was an unbreakable fact.

He also remembered how much you loved every other little things in the world. The way your eyes would shine brightly at the sight of a cat. Your cat, to be exact. You always said that its grey fur reminded you of him, even the cat's stoic-like personality was similar to him as well. It was funny, really. He never liked it when people speak nonsense, just like what you did then, but oh boy, did he fell deeper in love with you after you said that. It was truly funny. Love had always been such a foreign concept, yet he tried to learn it as best as he could. He wanted to love you as much as you do to him. But with you now gone, who will be the one to teach him?

He can't let another have a go through his heart. You were already enough. It was only you who could fill that empty abyss of a heart. Knowing that there was no way of bringing you back, he fell into a lonely road of remembrance. He missed you all too well. He missed you every time his consciousness returned after being woken up from his slumber. He missed you. Your warm embrace was now left with him only trying to gain warmth from the sun's light.

From the start of the morning till the end of the moon shining, he missed you. It was just you, you, and you in his mind.

You just loved too much, and it hurts him. The blues, the greens, the greys, and even him. He, who you said was one of the most insufferable men that you've known, was loved by such a charming person. He was loved by none other than you. So, with you now gone, he couldn't quite imagine how hard the pain would inflict itself on him. Ironically enough, it went beyond the imagined.

Maybe that was why he stayed coop up inside his house after the announcement of your death. Maybe that was why all the mirrors inside his house was thrown away into the storage room. Maybe that was why he couldn't look at himself normally anymore. He, himself, reminded him of you. The way you would always compliment his cat-like eyes, his grey hair, and his cold yet warm approach made him stayed in that particular past—not wanting to move into a future where you did not exist. He did not want to exist.

All he wanted now was to be by your side, yet that was impossible. After all, he promised you. He promised to live well, even if you were gone now.

"I tried to live as best as I could, love, but it's hard. With you gone, I feel like the whole world has stopped working too. It was all too sudden, and I was forced to try and accept it. But, I just can't. Now, I'm sitting here on our old couch, looking through the window as the light of the sun hits me once again. Yet, there's something missing. After looking around, i found the problem. It's you, my dear. You are not in my arms, and it pains me to realise that. I cannot live without you, but you made me promise that exact reality. I have to go on living in this pathetic world with you not in it. Ah... I miss you, love, and I miss your love."

This sketch back from autumn 2022 is one of those. I still really love this idea and how the composition turned out etc, that's why I wanted to show it to ya even if I never get to finish it <:)

I liked exploring dynamic between Gin and Shiho/Haibara, and in my animal/anthro AU I had an idea of like, Gin kinda seeing her as a pest after her betrayal of BO + like a hunt object. Not like literally seeing her as a rat, but acting and relate to her as that <D More like a metaphor I think

He couldn't help but be slightly amused at the request from the king, it was almost endearing in a sense. Leave it to Wukong to be bold and blunt — practically demanding in nature without any hesitation. It was one of the reason he adored him, even if he'd never let him know that. Didn't want to feed that massive ego of his, it was big enough as it was without the Great Sage learning all the ways the former general adored him. He'd be unbearable if he did.

Running his claws through his hair in a lazy manner while his head rested against his lap. It was still odd — this sort of familiar intimacy after everything that had happened between them. Never did he think they'd be close like this again with how much they fought, spitting venom at one another every chance they could. Sometimes fists being brought into the mix.

And yet, here they were as they relaxed together like none of that had ever happened. There was still things they needed to work on though, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows just yet. No, that road was still a long one before them BUT baby-steps were required. Little by little they'd heal what they could and deal with what they needed to in due time, for now though? They would enjoy the peace they could. Falling so easily into old habits here and there, forgetting those troubles that lingered.

Purring out in response, mere inches apart now as he ran a single claw along his chin. Teasing and tempting him all in one breath. He always delivered with the best reactions that Macaque just adored, they were always thrilling. Never disappointed.

I love the fact that you sometime don't shy away from drawing a bit more spicy art (bless the Adam boobas btw I just 🙏🙏) but I notice how each time you draw guitarhero they always has this tender and comfort vibe to them... So sweet.. Like call me crazy but I looked over your guitarhero tag a lot cuz I just love your art and you hcs, and my absolute favourite is seeing just so in love Adam look as much as Michael are smitten....

Waaa! Hello there! Im glad you asked and Im willingly here to help you with that!

Although,Im not a really an expert for tutorials. So please bear with me with some grammatical errors qwq

long post ahead!

Okay,so here it is: I. Angles and shapes

First off,you need to determine his head angle. I used some angles from the existing pics of Fort Max from MTMTE for this owo When you do,try to make a basic shape. In other words,draw a box. So when you draw a box,it should be look like 3D-ish like my illustration above. Fortress Maximus has a very Square-shaped individual and his head shape could vary in some angles and may inconsistent. (my brain is not brainging atm)

II. Drawing For drawing,now I picked the 3/4 angle because it's easy,lol.

I started sketching his head with a circle first and then proceed to add the box shape. The top of his head is not completely flat,but more like curved. But it won't be neccessary later on,I think? (It's just my liking when sketching tho qwq). Then you see a shaded part so it looks like 3D-ish,and I added a jawline and neck.

Next,drawing his face and neck. It didn't go the way the base looks like,but you could overlap on some areas if you needed to (such as chin,jawline,forehead,etc..). Btw,you can use the lasso tool and transform tool to adjust the angle for you liking.

Then,you draw a slightly elevated angular square for his brim.(similar to this lego piece,lmao). Also,you can add his side thingy-stuff (ii have no idea what are those called). I preferrably draw those things angular,but you can draw it straight up a rectangle and more easier.

Then add that little thing in the middle like most every cybertronian have. Again,repeat the same "Slightly elevated angular square" but its now a triangle-rectangle hybrid.

Also,try to make it look like buried within the brim. (It still depends on you if you want it on top or look pushed down)

I erased some of his forehead and jawline. And Ta-Da! This looks cursed af,but we're getting there! Final step is to add his antlers or horns.

I finally added his horns/antlers! his horns/antlers could vary in shapes too! some examples seen on the lower right,but ive seen more than that!

keep in mind that to flip/mirror the canvas if you drawing those so you can be aware if it looks weird

Add that smol half square between his helm and antlers

and we're almost done! added some details too You can also add those "shadows" on his eyes,like in the idw comics. Max eyes looks a bit small and weird,but it can be fix by erasing some parts to make his eyes looks better.

Finallly...Done!

I made some few minor adjustments for my liking.

I hope you find this tutorial helpful,this is my first ever tutorial i made. It may not be 100% percent accurate,but you get some ideas. Also,I really appreaciate that you asked me for this and it makes me very happy!

It wasn't any surprise to Alex when you told him you never learned how to ride a bike. He knew about your lonely childhood, and decided he'd help you learn one sunny day.

You had no idea about this, however. You suspected nothing when he snuck off to Walmart to bust a couple hundred dollars on a bike for you, deciding to not wait around and procrastinate. You'd both win, considering he wanted to vlog it, or at least stream it.

"Y/n, do you wanna go to the park?"

"Sure! Let me get my shoes on!"

Once you arrived at the park, you wait for him to get out of the car, his phone in hand as he set up the stream on his cellular device. You stand by his side, watching as he opens his trunk to reveal a bicycle. You furrow your eyebrows, confused as to where it came from.

"Y/n, I'm teaching you how to ride a bike today!" Alex cheers, revealing the existence of the stream to you.

You blink. "Really?"

"Yeah!" He smiles. "I kinda forgot about a helmet and stuff but you'll be okay"

You chuckle, holding his phone for him to say hello to stream while he pulls the bike out of the trunk.
