astro hypothesis: what your future wedding/engagement ring may look like
we have been using the 7h ruler chart in regards to the future partner as a person and anything regarding them and interacting with them. this time we are switching to the descendant persona to look at the partnership as a whole. a ring is a sociological symbol signaling to the world around you that you have a partner and are in a partnership. i would say saturn is a wedding band / ring; it's a symbol of honor and commitment as well as fidelity - its a vow of a long-term or lifelong connection. while venus is an engagement ring; its a promise of marriage inspired by the love a person has for their partner - it is usually more unique and flashy than a band. so again look at your descendant persona and the planets venus and saturn in this chart to learn about your ring(s).
venus
leo (5°, 17°, 29°) venus: features a bold and elegant design. might include eye-catching elements such as large, prominent gemstones, intricate details, or a distinctive setting. ring would be made from luxurious materials like gold, platinum, or even bespoke designs that add a touch of opulence. the focus would be on creating something that feels special and unique. unique shapes, custom engravings, or artistic features that stand out and expresses personal style. vibrant gemstones or intricate patterns that catch the light.
scorpio (8°, 20°) venus: ring might incorporate dark, rich colors or stones such as deep red garnets, black diamonds, or dark sapphires. could include custom engravings, secret symbols, or unconventional designs that holds special meaning.
7h venus: design is romantic and classic, perhaps incorporating timeless features like solitaire settings, delicate bands, or traditional styles that emphasize the beauty and commitment of the relationship. design might include symmetrical elements or balanced proportions that represent the harmony sought in relationships - matching bands, elegant details, or harmonious patterns. might include custom engravings or meaningful symbols that represent the couple’s shared values and commitment.
venus negatively aspecting neptune: intricate, ethereal, or even slightly unconventional designs. design might include soft, flowing lines or fluid shapes. settings that incorporate softer curves or designs that appear to shimmer or change with the light.
venus positively aspecting pluto: design that reflects intensity and meaning. design might blend elegance with a powerful, bold presence. unique gemstone settings or intricate details that convey a sense of importance. stones with deep, transformative meanings, such as garnets, black diamonds, or other gemstones associated with passion and transformation.
saturn
taurus (2°, 14°, 26°) saturn: likely features a classic, timeless design that emphasizes durability and enduring values. made from high-quality materials that stand the test of time, such as platinum or gold. design would combine elegant with practical elements, avoiding overly ornate or elaborate styles in favor of a refined and straightforward look. the ring would be comfortable and practical for daily wear.
gemini (3°, 15°, 27°) saturn: lean towards a classic, functional design that emphasizes practicality and timelessness. design might be straightforward but crafted with precision and care. there could be subtle yet meaningful details incorporated into the ring’s design that reflect personal significance - engravings or custom features that symbolize important aspects of the relationship or shared values (my friend had a promise ring with an infinity wrap in the band - the same design will be in the wedding ring). designs could include subtle patterns or inscriptions with meaningful words or dates.
5h saturn: wedding ring merges both romantic, creative elements with classic, timeless features. ring could have a traditional band with personalized engravings and/or a classic design with unique gemstones. ring would likely be both beautiful and practical, symbolizing not just the romantic aspects of the relationship but also its long-term, committed nature.
saturn negatively aspecting sun: ring would likely have a classic, structured design. a timeless, elegant band with clean lines, avoiding overly ornate or flashy designs. the ring would be made from high-quality, enduring materials like platinum or gold. a design that stands the test of time. design might lean towards minimalist aesthetics but with meaningful details. a simple band might include a discreet inscription or small gemstones that holds personal significance.
saturn negatively aspecting pluto: usually this is a robust and enduring materials like titanium. could include intricate patterns or hidden details that have personal significance. a classic band could include modern / unconventional design features considering the traditional significance of a wedding ring.

Tumblr media
You knew he would tease you.
You knew the moment he happened to see inside your sketchbook was the moment his ego became truly untamable. It was the moment that any ounce of mystery you had left crumbled into the shape of him.
If he knew that you studied anatomy by watching the way his muscles move under the laundry room lamp while he folds up your clothes at night. If he knew that your sketchbook was basically just a love letter written to the way his hands form around yours. Or the way his back muscles glisten with sweat when he comes home from his morning runs. If he knew that you had studied him so deeply that you could map him out down to the freckles that nobody else knows about, you're sure you would hear about it for the rest of eternity.
Which is why this morning, when you happen to wake up before him and see him fast asleep in the perfect position, you can’t help yourself when you grab your notebook and a pen and crawl back into bed with him.
He was still curled up around your absent figure, his head tucked against the pillow and lowered just right so that his nose would have been pressed into your hair. Your current lesson in anatomy was his back, which you had an ideal view of. The muscles- perfectly symmetrical on either side, tightening and releasing under golden skin that's been kissed darker by the sun. And in the center: the valley of his spine, each notch a favorite place of yours to kiss.
Every time you draw Sukuna, you fall in love with a different part of him. You admire him until all that’s left of you is nothing but a racing heartbeat.
Racing especially when you happen to peek up at his face to confirm he was still asleep and you find his lion-like gaze already settled onto you.
Uh-oh.
You’re trying to act natural. Immediately folding the cover back over your sketchbook and turning slowly to try and slip off the bed without him noticing.
Maybe he’s still half asleep. Maybe he didn't register you-
And he's already grabbing onto your ankle before you can even get an inch towards the edge of the mattress.
You don't know why you're not expecting him to ruthlessly drag you back to him, but you squeal when he tugs your knee out from under you and has you face-planting into the sheets. Sukuna doesn't seem to mind your squirming as there is no pause or hesitation in his movement. He barely even seems half awake when he lazily crawls over you and seats himself onto your hips, effectively stopping you from even thinking of an escape route.
"Why are you already running?" He yawns, his eyes slivered in a combination of suspicion and sleepiness.
You try your best to appear innocent, clutching your sketchbook for dear life. This was the closest Sukuna had ever come to it while you were sketching him and it instantly had a sweat breaking out on the back of your neck. Despite your determination to remain unsuspecting, your voice catches when you reply to him, "I-I'm not running."
And that's all it took. One stutter, one second of hesitation, and Sukuna's eyes are widening in a flash as his pupils hone in on your expression. He always knew your tells, knew instantly when you were trying to lie to him. He took pride in it actually. It’s the reason you’re already half accepting your fate.
His energy buzzes with excitement as he recognizes apprehension in your gaze. His smile flickering with anticipation.
"Oh?" He murmurs, closing in on your airspace. You can still smell the scent of manzanita wood in his shampoo from his shower last night. "And why are you nervous?" His voice is a silky hum.
"I'm not nervous." You whisper, trying to shrink backwards into the bed, trying not to provoke the bear.
It was too late. He’s been awake all of one minute and he was already going to play with you.
"You know," Sukuna clears the sleep out of his throat, "This thing has been getting more attention than me lately.” You hold fast when his fingers wrap around your sketchbook and tug gently, as if to prove a point with how tight your grip was on it. “Why is that, I wonder?"
"Nothing gets more attention than you." You mutter, your dry look only worsening when Sukuna's smile grows all too knowing. “I’m just… trying to finish a commission for work.”
"Do you usually blush when you’re working on a commission?"
"Oh god,” You groan, “please drop it I beg of you."
“You first.” He challenges, tugging on the book once again. “I’d like to see what’s so important.”
“Sukuna-” You let out a surprised laugh when he wraps his hand around your wrist and starts to pry your arm away. “Waitwaitwait!”
There was no use in trying to win in a game of tug of war with him. Even though he’s just woken up, he’s impossibly stronger than you are. And while he’s usually carefully aware of that fact when handling you, he had no problem mercilessly grabbing your fighting hands into one of his own and pinning them uselessly above you.
Your pleading falls onto deaf ears. Sukuna grabs onto the book, but before he can open it you manage to say just the right thing.
“It’s private!” You squeak.
Sukuna pauses, his surprised eyes meeting yours like you had just called out your safe-word.
You know that you had probably just made him twice as curious as he was before about your notebook, but you weren’t ready to face the embarrassment of him finding out what was inside of it yet. It wasn't the time.
He rolls his eyes and before he releases you, his free hand reaches up and he gently flicks your nose. You flinch and he follows up the sting with a chaste but soothing kiss.
“Cheater.” He mutters in defeat. With nothing left to toy with, he finally crawls off of you and heads towards the bathroom without another glance at your sketchbook. Before he passes the threshold, he leaves you with a request, but you can tell by the tone of his voice and the taunting smile he gives you that it was more like a new rule.
"No working in our bed after business hours, please."

Question bout the roleswap au… since the upgrades still sorta exist for the abilities, just for the Kirby Cup
what happens to the Masked Hammer upgrade?
Fantastic question!!
So this is from an older post, but I think the arena mode would have to work differently in the Roleswap AU. So blueprints collected along the journey are still used to upgrade Kirby’s copy abilities- but since he’s not the main protagonist and is instead protecting Waddle Dee Town in the AU, blueprints would unlock new more difficult tournaments instead! The more abilities he has, the more Dedede and Meta Knight would learn and gain by fighting against those in a friendly challenge!
But yes, I have given some thought as to how the ability upgrades in this AU would work differently!
Tumblr media
So in the Roleswap, Masked Hammer wouldn’t exist anymore. Dedede’s hammer would be the ultimate upgrade for the Hammer ability. It would have a few different moves than the canon Hammer or Masked Hammer ability but revealing any details on that is a massive comic spoiler, sorry! When the time comes I’ll explain.
I guess that also means I’d leave out Wild Hammer from the upgrades. But I’m not that mad about it hahaha. Toy Hammer has some unique moves AND that cool flying glitch anyway so I just like it more. Sorry, Wild Hammer fans :’O
So to balance those removals I’d add the Spear ability back in the picture! Then Primal Spear (aka the Prince’s scythe hehe) would be obtained after that in-game boss fight. I revealed this design a long time ago so I don’t consider it a spoiler anymore! I just can’t talk about the circumstances of that in-game or hypothetical battle in the comic’s story….
But by adding Spear’s evolution line to the equation, I think it would only be fair to make its final evolution themed after the wielder of one of the most powerful spears we’ve seen in-universe as of this post…
Tumblr media
In conclusion, Dedede Hammer would be the ultimate version of the Roleswap’s Hammer ability. But then to keep things fair I wanted to make Meta Knight Sword the ultimate version of the Roleswap’s Sword Ability……
…..so I did. It just feels symmetrical and right to me.
I can’t talk about what happens to Morpho Sword ability in the AU at all. Part of the reason is so I can keep the trend of the two third-level ability evolutions after similar bosses, but there’s story reasons I can’t reveal. Very sorry. I’ll try to make the wait worth it for that answer.
But at least the Sworn Partners can have equal bragging rights now!!
Tumblr media
They are secretly quite honored to be considered such adept users of their weapons, no matter what they choose to show on the outside. <3
There you have it! Roleswap ability swaps! :D

ATLA Gender Bender: "Princess Zuka"
Zuko -> Zuka
Alternatively, it is possible that female Zuko would still be called "Zuko". The ending -ko is feminine in Japanese. But within Fire Nation royalty, there exist masculine and feminine counterparts to names: Iroh/Ilah, Azulon/Azula. The ending -a is also used for Zuko's mother's name, "Ursa". This suggests that the feminine equivalent of "Zuko" would be "Zuka".
Like her male counterpart, the banished princess would have the most extensive wardrobe. I tried to draw several, but not all of these outfits.
If Zuko had been born a girl, a large theme of her story would be the traumatic loss and restoration of her femininity. I don't think that she would be a tomboy, but would be just as driven as her male counterpart to regain her honor.
I've been picturing Cricket Leigh as the voice of "Princess Zuka". Specifically, her voice as "angry Mai" in the Beach episode.
OUTFIT DESCRIPTIONS:
1: Young Zuka, from "Zuka Alone" flashback
She is supposed to resemble a young Ursa. Rather than being dressed like Azula, her clothes are inspired by ruqun.
2: Zuka at age 13, prior to being burned
Her ponytail is supposed to show off her long, beautiful hair, which is cut off during her banishment.
3: Zuka at age 13, after being burned
"Zuka" is shown with a fully shaved head, to illustrate an alternative scenario where Ozai does not challenge her to an Agni Kai, but immediately deems her actions treasonous and orders her to shave her head. In this alternative scenario, her refusal to cut her topknot is what prompts Ozai to scar her face and banish her anyways. This is supposed to be more in line with the treatment of "dishonorable" women in real life, as there are many world cultures throughout history who punish women by shaving their heads.
Still, I am not sure whether it was appropriate to include this in her wardrobe lineup. The Fire Nation is higher in the gender equality index than the cultures it is based on, as a consequence of firebending being an "equalizer" between the sexes. It is therefore plausible that "Zuka" would have still been challenged to an Agni Kai by Ozai, and that things would have occurred in the same fashion to her male counterpart. In this scenario, she would not have cut off her topknot. I picture her wearing the same hairstyle as regular, male Zuko, where she shaves the sides of her head to symbolize her shame.
4: Book 1 Zuka
Unlike her male counterpart, I think "Zuka" would grow out her hair. Zuko's shaved ponytail is based on a real hairstyle worn by Thai boys. But in-universe, Zuko appears to have fashioned himself after the hairstyle worn by Sun Warriors. A few other men in the Fire Nation also wear this hairstyle, but women are not seen wearing this. If "Zuka" had this hairstyle, I think it would come off as rebellious, instead of loyal to the Fire Nation. It makes more for "Zuka" to fashion herself after female Sun Warriors, who wear their hair in ponytails without shaving the rest of their heads. Her asymmetrical bangs are meant to contrast with Azula's perfectly symmetrical bangs. Underneath her armor, I picture her being very athletic, with lean, defined muscles.
5: Book 1 Zuka, as the "Blue Spirit"
The comics explain the origin of Zuko's Blue Spirit mask, which is based on "The Dark Water Spirit", a male character from the play "Love Amongst the Dragons". While "Princess Zuka" could don the mask of the "Dragon Empress", I think it fits her better to wear the mask of the "Dark Water Spirit" instead. This is because Zuko and Azula would reenact the play as children, with Zuko playing the Dark Water Spirit and Azula playing the Dragon Emperor. If the Azula was a boy and Zuko was a girl, I think "Azulon" would still play the role of the Dragon Emperor, while "Zuka" would still play the role of the Dark Water Spirit. This would foreshadow their eventual rivalry and Agni Kai, and I don't like the implications that come with "Zuka" playing the Dragon Empress. For these reasons, I chose to have "Zuka" don the mask of the "Dark Water Spirit" instead of the "Dragon Empress". This also does a better job of symbolizing the "Blue Spirit"'s role as enemy of the Fire Nation.
Additionally, I think it makes sense for "Zuka" to disguise herself as a male while donning the Blue Spirit mask. Failure to do so would make her disguise a lot less effective, due to the male dominated nature of the Fire Nation army. It would make her and Admiral Zhao both look smarter, as Zhao would still figure out that she is the Blue Spirit. Due to her physical build, she would not be able to pass for a fully grown adult man, but could pass for an adolescent boy. The cross-dressing element of her disguise could also connect the Blue Spirit to her "animus", symbolizing her complicated relationship with her femininity.
6: Book 1 Zuka, after assassination attempt
She would be shown without any color on her lips, due to her beat up state.
7: Book 2 Zuka, after cutting topknot
8: Book 2 Zuka, messy hair
This hairstyle would only be seen briefly during her sick episode
9: Book 2 Zuka, post haircut
After her bout of sickness, "Aunt Ilah" buys "Princess Zuka" new clothes and gets her a hair cut.
10: Book 3 Zuka, emo hair
11: Book 3 Zuka, formal dress
12: Book 3 Zuka, after joining the "good guys"
13: Fire Lord Zuka, coronation outfit
Her hairstyle is inspired by the Kdrama "Queen Seondeok" (2009).
14: Fire Lord Zuka, comics outfit (formal)
Her costume combines elements of Queen Seondeok, Queen Panhtwar, and Empress Wu Zetian.
15: Fire Lord Zuka, comics outfit (casual)
In these drawings, "Zuka" is shown having one of two lip colors: red and pink. The red shade is supposed to be the same color as Azula's lips, while the pink shade is supposed to be the same color as Izumi's lips.
The reason I did this was originally based on a mistake. I thought that Ursa had a lighter shade on her lips than Azula, and was trying to make "Zuka" look like a younger Ursa. However, this was a mistake. Ursa and Azula actually have the same lip color. Ursa's lips only look lighter because of the lighting in the "Zuko Alone" flashbacks.
I decided to keep this decision to have "Zuka" switch between Azula's lip color and a lighter shade of pink. This is supposed to make "Zuka" look a bit like Izumi, Zuko's daughter. It is also supposed to indicate when "Zuka" is wearing makeup and when she is not. I think her lip color should change upon becoming a fugitive, as she wouldn't wear makeup while living in poverty.

Hi I'm insane and I think I talked about this once in the past but today I'm going insane once again
The relationship of 2wink with math
Now, for this explanation I'll take notes from 3-4 main things. I'm sure there are many more references but this is what I could quickly grab from the top of my head.
Yes, 2wink is constantly being related to math, starting with their unit name, it's the only unit that has a number in it, even looking at their brand, we see constant triangle shapes that help support this idea.
Now, I believe the reason is clear looking at it in a geometrical (?) way. even in a trigonometrical way if you want to get fancy. 2wink's concept revolves around the fact that they're twins, they're two people who mirror each other. They're symmetrical.
The first clue that we get comes from a very old song actually. Heart Prism Symmetry, just look at the lyrics for a second
Tumblr media
It's a song that clearly talks about them mirroring each other, since as we know, an important part of their lore has to do with how they're so identical not even their father can distinguish them.
Speaking of, we hear Hinata's demons in a part of the song (cough, go read setsubun)
Tumblr media
Now, is their symmetry something natural? How is it represented, what is this telling us? I think Heart Prism Symmetry is a song in which they're loving and honoring their pasts being a two in one package for such a long time. This doesn't mean they're trying to be symmetrical on purpose though, they know already that the symmetry will break one day.
Tumblr media
(again I'm sure these are Hina's demons, someone give him a hug)
Now this also has to do with the triangle part that I mentioned before, there are many different symmetrical shapes but the fact that they chose triangles is fascinating to me. Triangles are the most basic shape, since you need at least 3 sides to create a shape (less than that is just a line). But triangles are so interesting because of that flex (?), they present themselves in many ways and even inside other shapes. You can fit a triangle in any shape, even a circle can fit triangles since at the end of the day, a circle is just a 360° rotation.
Tumblr media
They chose the most powerful shape and I'm obsessed with that concept.
But now, In which other ways is math involved? This is where I enter !! era, which is the point of the story in which 2wink are trying to discover more about themselves and we reach Twin Peaks.
Twin Peaks is Hinata's first focus event and it's full of math, starting from the title of the chapters
Tumblr media
Factorization and division by zero.
Now, if you actually want to relate those concepts to Hinata as a person, it gets a little bit depressing because, well, division by zero,,, no matter how big your numbers are, (CORRECTION) you'll end up in an undefined result.
But this has symbolism once again ! I don't remember the story exactly but there's a story where Yuta is referring as them as math concepts and he refers to Hinata as a symbol. Now the thing is both Hinata and Yuta have opposite beliefs of themselves, so both of them say the other is a positive or a negative while they're a negative or a positive.
I've always thought about how Yuta may feel that Hinata is stealing a bit from him and perhaps that's why he thinks Hinata substracts, but at the same time, Hinata has done so much for both of them so of course he adds too.
Now since this can be a little confusing, let's stick with the factorization and division by zero concept, since that's how Hinata perceives himself I believe? I think factorization is a clear concept for how Hinata kinda gatekeeps himself and his brother and. everything. in general? And oh well, we know the guy is depressed as hell.
Now this makes me move to the important part of the story which is the second event. Yes. What we all waited for and screamed our lungs out when we saw: Yuta growing his hair and separating himself from Hinata.
If an equilateral triangle is symmetrical, what happens when one side is larger that the other? Is it equilateral still? No. But is it still a triangle? Yes
In the swee2wink album, we got a song called Polyphonic World in the B side, and the lyrics are fascinating let me tell you
Tumblr media
1 + 2 = 3, which can be a triangle or as they say, a volume too (³), so the world is created with 3.
But I want to point out this part because I find it EXTREMELY important for the lore:
Tumblr media
"our hearts want to create new shapes" "make new shapes that will change our hearts". HELLO. They used to be symmetrical prisms but as soon as Yuta changed his appearance, they decide to create a new shape that looks more similar to their hearts. They are the shapes. 2wink refer to themselves as shapes, they are the triangle
Tumblr media
This is where the third side starts making sense too. 2 + 1 = Yuta and Hinata + a third member, "you" (me, they're talking about me, cough)
So knowing this makes much more sense in the way they refer to themselves and helps us understand them better.
Now my point, the new song is called Love×me⇄monsteR and according to my investigation, the ⇄ symbol is used for a lot of things but one of the meanings is exchange. Let's remember that an important part of the lore has to do with them being feared and seen as monsters, so Yuta is swapping that idea. He's swapping the negativity of the monster concept for love.
We're returning to what Twin Peaks tried to tell us. Hinata is (was, remember, development) seen as a division by zero and now Yuta is a multiplication of love times himself, he's GROWING. damn I love acceptance arcs.
Anyway, I wholeheartedly believe they're becoming something more positive given that the new logo is literally 2×2. Happiness for them.
Now as a little note to close the speech, Polyphonic World also talks about colors:
Tumblr media
"we can make a new color that will change our hearts" and remember, they're changing their signature colors in this event as a new beginning!
Tumblr media
So that's everything! I hope you find this interesting ! It's a little thing that I've been noticing for the longest time and I thought today was the perfect day to get it out.

hiii kris! i am a long time fan and your fanfiction is probably the only fanfiction I still follow to this day because your right is just TEWWW GOOD. i wondered if you have ever envisaged what Astrid/Elsa meeting for the first time would be like? either modern AU or a crossover within their universes? i recently watched HTTYD 2 and noticed a lot of parallels and also a lot of differences between them - but ultimately thought - what would they even think of each other? how would they interact?
HI thank you so much. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🙏 ilu 💕💕💕💕 thank you so much for this super sweet ask and your SUPER SWEET WORDS.
also, GAH, i love this idea. i had definitely considered their potential interactions in the context of rotbtfd settings (and i briefly briefly played around with a modern/magical-realism/mermaid!au take on this in frosted sea glass, but as those who have read the story already know, elsa has a very complicated dynamic with the others, astrid included). but now that you've brought up this idea, with a specific focus on the two of them in particular...? how might a friendship begin? an alliance? i am intrigued, i am intrigued, thank you for this. 💕
I DID NOT MEAN TO WRITE ANOTHER FICLET/ONE-SHOT AHHHHHHHHHH
also, FULL DISCLOSURE, to be absolutely honest, if you’d asked me this question 4 days ago, i would have had a completely different vision/response. (maybe i’ll still write this other version one day???) however... 3 days ago, i reblogged a fanart of elsa with her own ice dragon, and it’s been living RENT FREEEE in my head ever since, so, therefore, my reply to this ask, in this moment, is HEAVILY INFLUENCED and very much inspired by this gorgeous fanart on twitter/X from @Kiddo_hah (which i found from a re-post shared by @humongoustreemoon). i, too, have reposted the fanart inside this ask for dramatic effect™ but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be sure to GO TO THE twitter/x POST (linked again at the bottom of the ficlet too) and like, reply, and share this glorious creation, especially since i don’t have a twitter myself, thank you thank you 💕💕💕💕

“I know, I know!” Astrid urged Stormfly forward, patting her neck and gritting through the unnatural chill, the sharp-like blades of wind on the skin not protected by her armor. “Almost there!”
Stormfly cried out—willing, trusting, but cold, and she ain’t happy about it—charging forward, her powerful wings slicing through the frigid air as they neared the towering ice fortress.
Her eyes catalogued potential weaknesses, entry points, barriers. It’s not like Valka’s old hideaway… The structure loomed on the horizon, its crisp spires piercing the bright white sky. It’s so… unnatural…
Unliked the Ice Beast’s jagged spikes, these constructions were symmetrical—crystalline.
Hiccup—where are you!
Astrid decided on their entry point and swooped down to surge through the crevasse —for better or worse.
The biting winds were replaced with a bone-deep chill, and with a screech, Stormfly instinctively slowed their pace to mitigate the burn. Astrid’s armor was not comfortable, but removing it was not an option. What is this place? The deeper they ventured into the glacier, the more Astrid’s breath crystallized in the air. Impossibly, the bright ice around them shifted and shimmered as they flew past—as though the ice itself was breathing.
As if it were alive.
“I know, I know,” Astrid soothed Stormfly, but they couldn’t leave, not yet. “Don’t you feel that?”
And she knew the Nadder could; there, at the center of the structure, a pulse of power—something ancient and formidable.
Another Ice King?
Stormfly slowed to nothing more than a glide as they slipped into what could only be the deep core. This far inside the glacier's cavernous heart, there was no wind, no sound; only eerie, imposing, suffocating silence… save for the occasional cracks and bending twangs of the glacier, in the haunting song that only ice sing.
“Hiccup!” Astrid called out, unable to bear it, but although her voice echoed through the ice tunnels, there was no response. Astrid carefully surveyed the walls, searching for breaks, for sign of weakness, but the ice was immovable, vast. Astrid swallowed down the fear, the instinct to stay quiet, lest the ice respond, and crack, and break.
Was this a mistake?
—no. You’re here now.
Face it.
But what she found within the heart of the glacier was neither the hulking form of an ice beast nor the hollow emptiness she had feared.
What she found—was a face.
At the core of the glacier was a throne of ice upon a frozen dais, delicate yet commanding... atop which sat a figure draped in flowing robes as pale as the snow. Her garments were soft and flowing and light—better suited for autumn or spring, rather than the deepest core of a glacier. Astrid knew, beyond all doubt, that this creature… was not human.
Not human, not human, how, how, not human—
Stormfly drew back, screeching a warning, as Astrid's keen, analyzing, calculating gaze took in the sight of the woman—a monster in disguise?—at the center of this impossible fortress. The woman—this being—stared back.
Despite the Nadder’s every instinct, Stormfly followed Astrid’s formidable will and took them to the icy floor before the impossible throne. Without letting her nerves overwhelm her, before she had the chance to doubt, Astrid dismounted in a single fluid motion, her axe at the ready; this deep into the glacier’s core, the metal was already showing signs of burgeoning frost.
Although she wasn’t sure what she’d been expecting, exactly, she still hadn’t believed that the figure would rise from her throne. The woman lifted herself, her movements graceful yet commanding. Unnatural.
Astrid tightened her grip on her axe, ready to defend.
“You are lost,” said the woman. Her melodious, soft voice carried all throughout the cavern, against and through the reflective ice. All at once, the walls and floor seemed to shimmer with sunrise hues—glimmers of soft pinks, light blues, fresh lilacs.
Her hair, as white as the frost itself, cascaded down her shoulders, crowned with intricate icicles that sparkled in the dim light. But it was her eyes—cool, piercing blue, as light as the glacial ice itself, and glowing with the same unnatural power—
“I am seeking someone,” Astrid announced loudly, fiercely, with more bravado than she felt. Not human, not human, not human— “A man, riding a black dragon. His trail led me here.”
The woman’s surprise seemed genuine, but Astrid wasn’t ready to trust.
(Who are you! What are you!)
“I’m sorry,” the woman said, with soft confusion, with (feigned?) sympathy. Astrid’s gloved hand, her cold and aching fingers, tightened over the wooden handle of her axe. The air was so cold, Astrid half-wondered if the metal blad might simply shatter at first contact. Stay calm, stay calm, not human, not human—
The woman's expression softened slightly, as if hearing Astrid’s very thoughts.
“You are safe from me, warrior,” she promised, and Astrid carefully eyed the sympathetic slant of her brows, the reassuring tilt of her smile. Astrid inhaled, unsure, and exhaled, determined. “But you should not be here.”
“I’ll be on my way,” the words left Astrid’s throat before she could piece the puzzle together, “as soon as you explain who… and what… you are.”
The woman’s smile disappeared; the soft line of her mouth flattened into something stiff, her gaze hardening, sharpening. The air seemed colder.
“You must leave,” said the woman, soft yet unmistakably a command. “Your friend is not here. Leave at once and forget this place. I shall not be here if you return.”
Thousands of questions begged to spill from Astrid’s lips, but the woman—the queen?—turned her back on her—Astrid’s hackles instinctively raised at the slight, at the offense, at the dismissal—and she glided across the perfect, unmarred ice back to her throne. Astrid stepped forward, compelled into action, as the woman lowered herself on the seat with an unnatural, eerie grace.
“Please!” Astrid’s face twisted with confusion, with indignation, with annoyance, and—although she’d never dare—perhaps a tiny bit of trepidation. “You may not have sensed him, but I know he’s here. We were—that is—our home is under attack.”
The woman—she must be a Queen, she must have been, she must be—looked on, her eyes widening, as Astrid dared move even closer, approaching the dais. Astrid hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But there was something in the Queen’s presence—a strange, cold purity of truth that persuaded her to speak.
Her instincts had never steered her wrong… so far.
“The carnage led us north, where we found destruction all through the frozen lands… There was a sign of struggle, a great battle—we thought… we thought the damage was borne from an Alpha—an Ice King,” she admitted.
The queen’s smile was faint but genuine—and a little bit sharp.
“I am no Alpha. And I am no King.”
Astrid was in no danger, but its prospect hovered in the air, tingling on her skin, threatening the possibility.
“Please,” Astrid insisted. “I’ll leave you be,” she declared, not knowing if it was a lie. “Tell me what you know of the battle that took place outside these walls—who you faced, and how—so that I can find him. I’ll never return.”
From the way the woman’s brow raised archly, it seemed both of them seemed to sense the mistruth in Astrid’s claim; the Queen’s chin raised, considering; her keen eyes, defiant. Sharp. Astute.
Damn. Only honesty, then. No trickery.
Only honor, and duty, and valor.
“I will tell you what I know,” said the ice Queen. “But you will not like what you hear.”
Astrid swallowed, brow furrowed, and nodded. Her armor was growing frost, and it was starting to sting.
“I am bound to the ice,” she declared, and her expression slipped into something cold, something aloof. “As I have been, for an age… I know nothing of your politics, your land disputes, and I no longer care for anything beyond these walls. But I can confirm that when unwanted visitors encroach upon that which is mine—I shall respond in kind.”
“So… it was you?”
Behind her, the air itself seemed to shimmer, and then crack—like a frozen lake underfoot.
Astrid’s breath hitched as she watched the very essence of the ice condense, swirling like a storm gathering strength.
From nothingness, a massive form began to materialize—
Astrid gasped escaped her, as Stormfly shrieked, as the unnatural surge of power took shape, coalescing into the distinct outline of a dragon.
Its form—its body?—a thing of haunting beauty, shimmering with unnatural, almost ethereal light as it slinked forward. The dragon's head was massive and menacing, its piercing eyes glowing with an intense, cold light.
Its mouth was filled with sharp, ice-like teeth, lined within a jaw no doubt capable of unleashing a blizzard with a single breath. The ice demon of a dragon let out a piercing, shrieking warning call—to Astrid, to Stormfly, who was furiously cowering and spitting at the stranger’s might, unable to summon flames in so deep a cold—but from its horrible, beautiful maw, the ice dragon spat frost like sparks.
Astrid breathed hard, trying to keep her heartbeat steady as it leered forward, curling itself protectively around the throne and the woman upon it, its mighty claws never once gauged the perfect ice beneath. The beast's wings expanded, curling about the dais, each membrane almost translucent, laced with veins of ice.
Astrid was highly aware of Stormfly’s extreme displeasure, of Stormfly’s fright and distrust, even with her confidence in Astrid’s steady presence.
Look, Stormfly, look, she willed silently to the Nadder behind her, as she stared at the ice dragon's scales—a deep, frigid blue, glistening like frozen crystals in the pale light, rolling from deep indigos to pale lavenders. Don’t you see? Maybe this is what we were looking for—maybe she’s…
The ice around her rippled with power and, Astrid realized, in that moment—
She was the ice.
The ice dragon—is her!
Astrid’s heart raced. Is this—is she—an Alpha, after all? (A new, unknown species? Is she the dragon, or is it a part of her? An extension of her? The power emanating from this Queen and her dragon was unlike anything she had ever encountered. Hiccup! Did you see?
Were you here?
Do you know!)
“What are you? Who are you?” Astrid demanded, breath shaky, awed and alarmed as the ice dragon coiled more fully around the Ice Queen, radiating calm menace—and a deep, deep core of protection. Stormfly growled lowly, still clicking her displeasure, but fell briefly subdued when the veil of danger lessened... despite the ice dragon's dark, eerie presence.
This is it! Astrid's mind whirled through the possibilities, the calculations. If they could convince her to join them—if Astrid could convince her that they should be allies—
The Queen’s gaze held hers, steady and calm, as she folded her hands delicately atop her lap, resting upon her knees.
“I was once known as the Snow Queen,” she intoned, her voice steeped in quiet, ancient power, now impossible to ignore. “But those days are lost to time… and you, Dragon Warrior, stand in my domain. If you wish to find your friend, you must listen to the counsel, and the warning, I shall grant you.”
Ignoring her better judgments, yet heeding her instincts—
Astrid did.

✄ and ♡ for you! I know it says 'pick a fic' but can I just ask about the entire Incident Report series for the favourite line? If not then just do the first one.
Editing process! I work in big word documents. When I'm jumping back in, I'll reread a bit. Fix typos/errors, rephrase things. Very recently, I've started writing out of order. This let's me rearrange scenes. Also, keeps me writing because I'm always working on the part I want to be, not slogging through to get to that beautiful scene in my brain.
Hahaha, we're doing all 6 Incident Reports!
#1
“The Lord of Fear is born from the collective human memory of terror. As long as mankind has feared the unknown, of what lurks in the dark, I have existed.” Bro.
Because I love how irreverent Tim is this entire first summoning. He's like "Bet. This is happening. Wanna help me be a stalker?"
And meanwhile Fright Knight is like "This child does not comply with my understanding of children. I have Concerns."
#2
“So like, spirit. The Ghost of Human Terrors Past and Future can use a phone? How does that work? Did the academy secretary hear the screams of the damned during that call?”
I just love the entire phone call bit.
#3
Impossibly, Fright Knight straightens further. “It is what we do in spite of the fear. For there's the rub, to endure or to concede. Thus, many have fought against me and prevailed regardless of odds.”
Awww Frighty being like "humans are great" while not minutes earlier he was bitchy about Tim being a soft fragile human.
#4
This one is hard to pick for. Not because it isn't good, it's one of my favorites. But it's more of an exploration, not zings or one-liners. But I love this symmetrical moment:
A stranger looks back at Tim from the mirror. Tim doesn’t recognize himself, more ghost than anything else. Everything feels far away.
And
When he looks back to the mirror, Fright Knight stands behind him. Tim doesn’t turn, opting to observe the spirit through the reflection. It’s familiar. It’s different. Everything is so fucked up.
When I was writing, I was thinking of Tim feeling unsteady. He looks and doesn't recognize himself. He looks again, and finds something familiar. I wanted a push/pull of Tim getting to know himself. Fright Knight gives him guidance during that time through confronting fear, but also being a safety net.
#5
“I believe you are familiar with the definition of insanity.”
“Sure, I am. Would you prefer Merriam-Webster or Oxford English?” Tim quips with a smirk. The glare intensifies and he can't help but laugh.
This is one of the funniest things I've ever written. Convince me otherwise. My other choice for #5 would be Fright Knight looking at the photos.
#6
“Uncle Frank Night? Uncle Frank Night?”
“You named him what?” Phantom crows. “Fright Knight, elder spirit, endless fear incarnate. And you named him… Frank?”
“I was sixteen and stressed!” The defense falls flat.
“I can't believe you tried to pass off this,” Dick gestures at Fright Knight with a jab, “as a living relative!”
“Hey, that's not fair –,”
“-- please know, I'm going to call him –,”
“-- Fright Knight has feelings and you're being rude–,”
“-- he's a haunted suit of armor, Tim!”
“-- Frank during court from now on –.”
“-- yeah, Dick, and I've known him longer than you –.”
Actually near impossible to pick for this one. Honorable mentions: Danny's explanation of how he knows Jason, Fridge haunting/food unionizing, Alfred and Fright Knight colluding, Dick continually losing his shit.

Caudipteryx is a genus of small oviraptorosaur dinosaurs that lived in Asia during the Early Cretaceous period some 125 to 121 million years ago. In 1997, several well-preserved dinosaur skeletons were recovered from the Jiulongsong Member of the Chaomidianzi Formation (now know as the Jianshangou Bed of the Yixian Formation), at the Sihetun locality of Liaoning province, China. The fossils were later described in 1998 and used as the type specimens for the new dinosaur taxa Caudipteryx and Protarchaeopteryx. The holotype of Caudipteryx consists of a remarkable near complete skeleton which was preserved in such detail that some of the animals gut content, gastroliths, and impressions of the skin integument including many feathers where recovered. The name Caudipteryx, means "tail feather", and the specific name, zoui, is in honor of Zou Jiahua for his prominent support to the scientific community as the vice premier of China. In 1998 a second specimen of caudipteryx was recovered and then in 2000 was described as belonging to the new species Caudipteryx dongi, he specific name dongi honors Zhiming Dong, a Chinese paleontologist. Since then 3 additional specimens have been found. Reaching around 2.4 to 3ft (72 to 90cms) in length and around 11lbs (5kgs) in weight, this maniraptoran sported a stout trunk, a shorter tail, long legs and was probably a swift runner. Caudipteryx had a short, boxy skull with a beak-like snout that retained only a few tapered teeth in the front of the upper jaw. The hands of Caudipteryx supported symmetrical, pennaceous feathers that had vanes and barbs. The primary feathers were arranged in a wing-like fan along the second finger, just like primary feathers of birds and other maniraptorans. An additional fan of feathers existed on its tail. The body of C. zoui was covered in black feathers, with a visible banding pattern preserved on tail feathers. A study on the number of flight feathers has concluded that Caudipteryx was secondarily flightless. In life Caudipteryx would have been moderately social omnivores feeding upon various plants, fungi, insects, and small vertebrates.

Aaaaand some more kisses
thigh kisses + “can we do that again?”
Hi fren!!
We have officially bumped the rating up to E! So warning if you're not here for smut :)
There was one other nonny who requested this as well, but! I got enough prompts for a whole second fic, so the other part of thigh kisses for nonny will be coming then <3
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
~
Tony has irregular heats. In the entire time Steve has known him, he’s only had one heat to Rhodey’s four. That one happened only about a month or so after they started dating (officially, not the kiss in Natasha’s dorm), and Tony had been very apologetic about not being ready to share it. Steve had waved off his apologies and said he understood—omegas who tend to nest, like Tony, also tend to be very private about their heats, and it’s a vulnerable time anyway—and said if Tony felt comfortable the next time his heat came around, he would be honored to share it with him.
Even so, knowing how irregular Tony’s heats are, he’d still been surprised when Tony had approached him a week ago, told him that he would be going into heat, and asked him if he’d like to share it with him. It had taken him a moment for the words to really register through the fantasies his brain conjured up at the scent of Tony’s pre-heat, but they had and then he’d bellowed, “Yes!” so loudly that his RA had checked on him to make sure he was doing okay.
He'd taken time off from practice though both the coach and Tony had insisted he at least be present at the game on Saturday, even if he’s not playing. Tony had done the grocery shopping, though Steve had brought a pack of Gatorade to satisfy his urges to provide, which is good since Tony had forgotten them.
And now he’s in Tony’s nest, staring down at his heat-slick omega writhing on his fingers. He’s never been in here before. Tony has another bedroom that they’ve spent time in, just as luxurious, and Steve has never been offended that he hasn’t been invited into his nest. It’s a beautiful nest, all silks and gossamer fabrics and expensive pillows and deep, rich colors. Steve’s artistic eye would probably spend quite a bit of time appreciating it, if it weren’t for the fact that Tony is imminently more interesting than a bit of interior decoration.
“You’re doing so good for me, sweetheart,” he breathes, pressing the words into the soft skin of Tony’s thigh. “Can you take another one?”
Tony tosses his head from side to side on the pillow, sobbing, “Want you.”
“You’ve got me,” Steve teases, punctuating his statement with a sharp bite to his leg. Tony gasps, thigh twitching in Steve’s grip.
“Want your knot,” Tony whines. And, yeah, Steve wants to give him that too, but he wants Tony to come for him first.
“Not yet,” he says and soothes the sting by kissing a line up to the crease of Tony’s hip. Tony arches toward his mouth, but Steve skips over that entirely and moves on to the other leg. He’s a little harsher here, nipping instead of just sucking, and when he pulls his mouth away, it’s to see a column of little bruises left on Tony’s creamy skin. The picture is so satisfying that he moves back to his other thigh and does the same thing there, creating two perfectly symmetrical rows.
“You’re supposed to be taking care of me,” Tony complains as Steve eyes his work with satisfaction. “You are a horrible, terrible alpha.”
“And you’re a demanding brat,” Steve replies, sinking his teeth into Tony’s thigh one more time. Tony sobs and comes, back arching so high off the pillows that only his shoulders and hips remain flat as his little cock jerks on his stomach.
Steve smiles smugly, pulls his fingers out, and lines himself up instead. “But,” he adds, “I suppose that I’ll take care of you now.”
He thrusts in before Tony can do more than glare at him. Tony keens, hands scrabbling at the pillows until Steve takes them in his own and pins them flat. He’s been fingering Tony for most of the last hour, and he’s desperate to come, so the pace he sets is hard and fast, shifting the two of them up the bed every time he slams back in. Tony smears kisses across his face, wherever he can reach, babbling words of love—until Steve gets his hand around his cock and then it’s all about how sensitive he is and how much a brute Steve is and he hates him, did he know that?
But Steve is determined to make Tony come one more time, so he staves off his own orgasm through sheer determination until Tony lets out a pained moan and comes again. And it’s only then that he lets himself come, lets his knot catch just behind Tony’s rim, filling his little hole because they’re both clean and Tony can’t have kids anyway, so why can’t he be as full as he likes?
Later, after he’s pulled out and rested his head on Tony’s stomach, waiting for the next wave to come on them, Tony says, “Can we do that again?”
“What, fucking?” Steve asks.
Tony swats his head. “Don’t be crude,” he says primly, which is rich, coming from him. “I mean, the thing with my legs. You sure seemed to like those, babe.”
“You have nice legs,” Steve muses, tilting his head to the side and pressing a soft kiss to the closest one.
“I do,” Tony agrees because he’s never heard of modesty a day in his life. “And no one’s ever paid attention to them.”
“Well, all you had to do was ask,” Steve replies and shifts down the nest to start lavishing attention on them all over again.

I recently made a TOH sona (witchsona?) named Robyn. I'm have a basic idea on what his story is and how it fits with the timeline, but we'll have to see if I need to change things around.
Also, if no one knows who Vitimir is, he's the potions coven head. Gonna have a lil backstory for him in another post. Maybe.
Buckle up, because this is gonna be a bumpy ride.
Robyn grew up with his parents and 3 brothers. He was the youngest and the "black sheep" of the group based on their horns. His family is renown for having large, symmetrical horns no matter the gender, but Robyn's are both short and asymmetrical. Nevertheless, he was loved by his parents and siblings.
His father is in the Bard coven, a performer, and his mother is in the Healing coven. His older brothers, from oldest to youngest, are in the Healing, Abomination, and Potions covens. Robyn would've been in the Bard coven had he not become a wild witch. When Robyn came out as transgender, his mother and brother were honored to do his top surgery.
Robyn would end up going to Glandus High, and his school life was a bit hard. He was somewhat an outcast since he would trip over his own tail and witches would make fun of him for it. Obviously, he learned not to as he grew older, but it happened enough to earn a nickname and teasing.
This continued until Vitimir transferred to his school and was almost immediately outcasted. His acid breath had mildly hurt another student at his old school, causing his parents to change schools to avoid the consequences. A rumor had spread quickly between the students that he was violent, which made other students avoid him no matter what.
Robyn decided to befriend him, both out of sympathy and not believing the rumors. He had approached Vitimir during lunch and shared his food with him (Vitimir claims that his mother forgot to pack his). They would hit it off pretty quick, hanging out with one another after school and studying for classes in a cave in the forest.
When they hit 18, the age of joining a coven, Robyn told Vitimir that he didn't want to join a coven. He would instead become a Wild Witch. Despite the confusion, Vitimir respected his decision as he joined the Potions coven. Robyn would live in the protection of his parent's home for the time being.
Years later, after Vitimir was appointed the new head of the Potions coven, Robyn would have to fight against him and the other heads on a walk home. Emperor Belos was intent on gathering Wild Witches and targeted specific witches to specifically be petrified. Vitimir had no idea it was Robyn, until he used his acid breath on their arm. The battle was 8 vs 1 (Vitimir was frozen in shock), and Robyn lost.
He has broken off their friendship at that moment after trying to get Vitimir to help him.
Somehow, he found the strength to escape from them and fled into the forest on the left arm. He would stay there until the Day of Unity, watching the draining spell commence and the Collector being freed. Staying in his home in the forest proved to be useful as the Collector's spies could not find him. Until he was too cocky and got a surprise attack, being turned into a puppet.
After Belos' defeat, he was turned back and reunited with his family, saying not a word to Vitimir. While rebuilding the Isles, they would briefly cross paths before rekindling their friendship. Robyn would be living in the crumbling conformatorium since his home is, well, in space, and Vitimir in a woodland house in the woods (a witch of the woods).
I haven't thought past that part, but I'm thinking that they have a slow burn romance where Robyn is the first to realize he has a crush and Vitimir confesses. This'll also be another post. Probably.

hey did you ever do that honorable mention analysis? not trying to rush you if not, i'm just making sure i didn't miss it
No! You didn't miss it! I had it on my list, but I wanted to sit with the song a little bit, because I'm kind of fascinated by this song. First of all, because SO YOUNG ("I served out my detention") and little Pete-ish flourishes in there, like the defensive / offensive line.
But also the idea of not being the star of your own movie, because the spotlight is on someone else. It makes me think of that Kerang interview I just posted where Patrick is asked who would play him in a movie of his life and he's like, "I hope there is never a movie of my life because I just want to be boring" (which, incidentally, is also the advice I just had Pete give Tennyson in Schrodingerverse lol), and it's just like, in any movie Patrick or Pete have of their lives, it's actually starring the other one. They are symmetrical like that. And completely wrapped up in each other.
Also, "I said I hate you, but I'd never change a thing" kind of makes me think of the way in the beginning they would fight viciously over the songs but then keep trying to find ways to make it work. <3

Cosmere characters in the Doom Patrol house
1. Niles, the cause of and solution to their problems, is Honor. And he's dead 😂
2. Which makes Dorothy Syl which I think is fairly apt.
3. Ok moving on from casting headcanons. If Jasnah were in Doom Patrol I think she'd find them all incredibly annoying, and end up hanging out with Cyborg's dad all the time.
4. Danny the Street could finally find some peace and protection with the Sibling and I so want that for them! Also they/them location-based character: two nickels situation
5. Negative Man could start trying to explain his complicated powers...
Kaladin: Yeah, obviously that's how powers work. That's how all powers work. And you're depressed. Duh
Negative Man: And gay.
Kaladin: Like...symmetrical?
Negative Man: I really didn't think this would be the hard part to understand.

Whenever these two teams face off, it’s a game that pits the Panthers’ dynamic, balanced offense against the Raiders’ tough, gritty style of football.
Although the Panthers and Raiders don’t play each other often due to their placement in separate conferences, their matchups are always thrilling and hard-fought, offering fans plenty of exciting moments on both offense and defense.
Carolina Panthers Key Players and Stats
Bryce Young – Quarterback As the Panthers' first overall draft pick in 2023, Bryce Young brings a lot of excitement to the Panthers' offense. Though still in the early stages of his career, Young is known for his composure in the pocket and his ability to make smart decisions under pressure. In a typical Panthers vs. Raiders matchup, Young might post stats like 250-300 passing yards, with 2-3 touchdowns and possibly a turnover as he adjusts to the NFL’s speed.
Christian McCaffrey – Running Back Before being traded to the San Francisco 49ers, Christian McCaffrey was the engine of the Panthers’ offense. He is a versatile back who can hurt defenses in both the run and passing game. In a game against the Raiders, McCaffrey might have posted stats such as 15-20 carries for 80-100 rushing yards and 5-7 receptions for another 50-70 receiving yards. His ability to impact the game as both a runner and receiver made him one of the most dangerous weapons in the NFL.
DJ Moore – Wide Receiver Another key figure for the Panthers is DJ Moore, their standout wide receiver. Known for his speed and ability to make tough catches in traffic, Moore can be a game-changer. Against the Raiders, he might catch 5-7 passes for 90-120 yards and possibly a touchdown. His deep-threat capability makes him a target that opposing secondaries have to constantly account for.
Brian Burns – Defensive End On the defensive side, Brian Burns is the Panthers' premier pass rusher. He is quick off the edge and consistently causes problems for opposing quarterbacks. In a game against the Raiders, Burns could record 4-6 tackles, 1-2 sacks, and a couple of pressures or quarterback hits. His ability to get after the quarterback and disrupt plays makes him a crucial part of the Panthers' defense.
Las Vegas Raiders Key Players and Stats
Jimmy Garoppolo – Quarterback With Derek Carr leaving the team in 2023, Jimmy Garoppolo became the starting quarterback for the Raiders. Known for his quick release and game-management skills, Garoppolo is tasked with keeping the Raiders’ offense on track. In a matchup against the Panthers, he might record 200-250 passing yards, with 1-2 touchdowns and possibly a turnover. His connection with the Raiders' skilled players like Davante Adams is essential to their offensive success.
Davante Adams – Wide Receiver Davante Adams is one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL and is a game-changing talent for the Raiders. In a matchup with the Panthers, Adams might put up impressive stats like 7-10 catches for 100+ yards and 1-2 touchdowns. His ability to create separation and make big plays in critical moments makes him a nightmare for opposing defenses.
Josh Jacobs – Running Back Josh Jacobs, the Raiders' workhorse running back, was the NFL's leading rusher in 2022. His hard-nosed running style makes him a challenge for any defense. In a game against the Panthers, Jacobs might carry the ball 20-25 times for 90-120 yards and possibly score a touchdown. His ability to grind out tough yards and keep the Raiders' offense balanced is vital to their success.
Maxx Crosby – Defensive End Maxx Crosby is the Raiders’ defensive leader and one of the top pass rushers in the league. In a game against the Panthers, Crosby might record 5-7 tackles, with 1-2 sacks and several quarterback pressures. His relentless motor and ability to disrupt the passing game make him one of the most dangerous defensive players on the field.
Defensive Matchup
Both the Panthers and Raiders have strong defensive units that will be critical in determining the outcome of their games. The Panthers, led by Brian Burns, are known for their ability to generate pressure and force turnovers. They might record a couple of sacks, force a fumble, or grab an interception in a game against the Raiders.
The Raiders' defense, led by Maxx Crosby, is also aggressive and opportunistic. They could sack Bryce Young a couple of times and possibly force a turnover or two. The battle in the trenches, particularly between the Panthers' offensive line and the Raiders' pass rushers, will be a key factor in deciding who controls the game.
