the level of emotional repression it takes to say “he was only sorry because of the way it made him feel” oh you’re only sorry bc you feel bad? bc it makes you feel bad?? you feel bad about the things you did??? like listen to yourself. this is on par w “people only do good things bc of how it makes them feel” oh no, is it actually selfish that it makes people feel good to do good things?? shut up. you’re commenting that like feeling a certain way in response to something, makes you meta feel something again?? like he feels bad. he feels bad. and he hates feeling bad. but at the root of it. he DOES feel bad. he does regret, just plainly on it’s own. and him saying “i’m only sorry bc of how it makes me feel” is just a layer of repression, a distancing of yourself from your own feelings. which is like…. his MO. this is about moash btw, i just realized i never said his name.

a lot of you like to comment on my posts about potential moash redemption arc to point out that he’s not looking for redemption right now, and like yea, that’s a valid point, but that’s why it’s a potential arc for later? and maybe this is a dumb quibble, but a lot of people reduce “not looking for redemption” to “doesn’t feel bad” which is just simply not true. reread any moash pov chapter and tell me you honestly think he doesn’t “feel bad”??? he fucking hates himself so much that whenever he comes into contact w even a sliver of his own feelings he breaks down??? like odium takes his pain away WHAT do you think that pain is?? his chronic back pain?? cmon guys
