#Honestly i think he was the first character kinda ruined by the fandom for me. 'ruined' might be extreme but i'd see a mithrun icon

(Just copying this from my frustrated-with-the-pjo-fandom induced ramblings on the ta server + al lot more more shit than I expected to write)
I think the main pjo fandom has such a misunderstanding of why Alison might be bad for the show
It's not because she's a new character, I honestly think a new character could be good for the show, but it's because the pjo show team has already shown a fundamental misunderstanding of what pjato should be at its core (that being disability). Alison will most likely only prove what we already knew: that being the show not actually knowing what to do with pjo
Gonna be straight up here, I don't think any of these arguments against Alison are really about the fact she's a new character, season one had plenty of changes that a lot of people were fine with despite them not really making sense (why was Annabeth there for Luke's betrayal). They're because she's a new ta character and that'll either lead to the fandom confronting the fact that they've had a bias against the ta characters for literally no reason (Percy destroyed a bridge and blew up a boat, chb also had child soldiers) or their deep rooted sexism against barely morally gray women without stripping them of their agency.* The only fear I kinda get is that Alison will end up replacing one of the ta characters but unless you're a diehard Kelli fan I don't think there's really much to worry about, I'm not saying she'll replace Kelli as a Luke love interest but rather an 'evil bossy woman' type so they don't need to animate Kelli's hair.
The only thing I'm worried about is the lack of disability. I've rambled about this before on the ta server** but Alison is most likely going to be a child of a minor god, and while I do want more minor god kids, the minor god's kids represent a very important part of the disability metaphor, that being disability hierarchies specifically being detrimental against people with physical disabilities and people with stigmatised mental illnesses (npd bpd schizophrenia etc) . Alison has an open casting, and while that would usually be fine for any other character I doubt they'll cast someone with a physical disability and I highly doubt they'll cast someone with a stigmatised mental illness. So you either have: an abled bodied person acting like they have a disability OR a ruined metaphor and Ethan's eye was lost for nothing.
Ta server ramblings under the cut
*Me: considering how this fandom treats women I do not wanna see them if Alison is in the book. They can't handle Silena without stripping her down to "UwU poor manipulated girl" I do not wanna see them with Alison
making it out that Silena was just in love with Luke and he manipulated her is a) reaffirming the sexist stuff about aphrodite kids and b) robs Silena of her agency to make decisions that she ends up regretting
**Me: Honestly hate when people act like it was just Percy who got the minor gods cabins, buddy did the metaphor go over your That Much. The reason it had to be Percy was because he represents people who already have resources speaking out for those who don’t because they’re more respected. That applies to both Percy and Luke. Percy was not the reason for it it was Ethan,
There is a Reason why Ethan was the first named demigod child of a minor god and he had a physical disability, it has a mythic reason like all of the others but it is still a disability. Ethan represents the metaphor in the minor god demis, that being hierarchies in disabled communities
(this is another reason why I'm scared for Alison in s2 because she's probably going to be a child of a minor god)
what I'm really worried about is they either: make Alison physically disabled and kill her off (killing off all* your physically disabled characters rick how fun)
OR
make her able bodied and the metaphor is lost unless they explicitly say she has another stigmatised mental disability which they will not
*I don't count the kid from toa since he's a background character mentoned once and hephaestus was pretty much disabled in the myths so not rick's
okay end of ramblings jesus christ

i dont agree with what jack and tommy did recently either but i am glad that they didnt say that c!dream died or anything like that and instead siad that everyone in the server left, like tommy oculd have easily been like "the nuke ending and c!discduo talk isn't canon and my character canonically killed c!dream" and cinniters would have seen that as canon.
That is very true. I did end up watching parts of it and I have to say I was pretty harsh on them (though I was really more so harsh on the idea of it being retcon which was being fed like an intentional thing when that’s not what happened), but really ccJack is just there vibing and ccTommy is the one leading the lore. But even then, it’s really just kinda a somber reminiscing. Most of that conversation people posted happened as they just stared at Techno’s house. And it’s kinda sad that this reminiscing moment was ruined by the propaganda that they retconned the lore, which isn’t even what happened. In fact, I’d agree he could’ve taken a different route, but ccTommy really kept things as open and non descriptive of other characters, just talking about himself and what he’s been doing. He mentions Tubbo and that’s it. So you are right it definitely could have been worse, but more importantly things were just kinda blown out of the water a bit and things were taken out of context and at an angle that doesn’t make sense and isn’t true…
But ya see what’s funny is he made the script for the nuke finale, it’s his lore and his streams. CcDream wasn’t the brain child of it and didn’t make money off it. So it’d honestly make no sense to retcon his own shit. Like what is he gonna do go and delete his streams that have millions of views, yeah right. Give me a break… I mean I do personally feel like he has become controlled by his fandom to the point it makes him disingenuous and unappealing to watch (for me), which is sad, but here he at least doesn’t go far especially as Jack certainly doesn’t let him because in both instances of talking about the nuke Jack insists he did it and it happened. It’s ironic because people want to control a narrative but I think it’s the authenticity and in the moment improve that played a big part of making the dsmp popular in the first place. Because a lot of it is genuine silliness between friends and it’s part of why ccDream is popular because he just has fun with his friends and their friendship and banter is entertaining. Sometimes the bloopers are the most fun to watch or the out of pocket improvised lines, because the authenticity and passion is tangible and enticing… anyways in watching it I wonder if this is him perhaps meeting in the middle. Like hey if you don’t like season 1 ending, here is the season 2 ending… or maybe he’s been thinking about c!tommy lore awhile and like took up the opportunity to do some of it, as a writer I can understand the appeal. The dsmp seemed to be a way of projection for him and clearly since he wrote scripts he does think about his character and plots and such… I mean ccSam said he and ccDream did off camera roleplay, because it was fun and something they enjoyed, and maybe that’s what this was, a way to tie up lose ends for them and put out there some of the things they wish they had said.
It doesn’t have to be a big lore thing or a malicious act of ccTommy retconning his lore because he hates the finale or to please his fans that do… if you watch it, it’s really more so just a sad moment shared between two friends who miss something as much as they wouldn’t do it again, playing their characters for one last time.

Undead Unluck Week, Day 1: Favorite Negator
Hello, Undead Unluck fandom!! 😆 If I'm gonna be honest, I pretty much love every Negator that we've met so far (except for Ruin), but there are some that are my absolute favorites...!! 😁 Of course I love Andy and Fuuko, and Anno Un is MY BOY / THE GOAT; but if there's one Negator that I'd pick above the rest, it would have to be...:
Shen Xiang (Untruth)
Tumblr media
(I originally wanted to put my fanart of Shen here, but I'm still working on it...! 😅 Hopefully I'll finish it before the week is over!! 😁)
I remember when I first saw Shen in chapter 2, I was like: "Who is this goofball?" 🤔
Tumblr media
And as I continued to read, I was like: "I kinda like this goofball...!!" 😄 I mean, look how goofy this man gets!!:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also love fact that one minute, Shen looks like his normal adorable baby face on a bodybuilder's body in a fight, and then he'll look like THIS: 😵
Tumblr media
Speaking of Shen and fighting, one of things that we learn about Shen is that his dream is to be the strongest in all of creation...:
Tumblr media
I'm usually not a huge fan of characters who only care about constantly getting stronger because almost every time, if they lose a fight, they'll get upset about it and start to think that they are weak, so they train nonstop to become "stronger..." Though Shen does seem to have that similar mentality to "keep getting stronger", this was the moment that he felt different from a lot of those other characters in my opinion:
Tumblr media
He was smiling after he lost the fight and called the Union to come help in fighting / stopping Victor...!! 👀 I know that not every character that craves strength is a sore loser, but almost all of them have TOO MUCH PRIDE to let others help them in a fight!! 😤 So the fact that Shen had the Union come help was honestly really refreshing to me and it made me like him even more...!! 😄
One of Shen's standout moments has to be during the Summer Arc, where get to see his backstory and learn about why he wants to be the strongest in all of creation in the first place...!
Tumblr media
I'm not gonna get into too much as to why I love this arc SOOO MUCH (that'll be for another day 😉), but if it wasn't obvious, it's because Shen is the main focus of it!! 😍
One of the last things that I wanna talk about Shen is his relationship with Mui...!! 🤗 (Though, I'm probably gonna keep short so that I can bring it up another day...!! 😉)
Tumblr media
I just love how adorable their relationship is, especially whenever he calls her "Mui, my dear", IT'S JUST TOO CUTE!! 💗😍💗
Anyway, I think that all that I wanted to say about my boy Shen!! 😄 Sorry if this was a little bit too ramble-y, but I just love Shen a lot (and it doesn't help that I have a big stupid crush on this goober as well! 💗😌💗)
I'm gonna do my best to try and participate in all of UU Week 2024, so stay tuned!! 😊

Can you rate all TSAMS Sun ships?
im gonna be careful with this one so im gonna try and avoid the ships that might be/are "incestuous" since i quite enjoy having friends and staying out of drama. once more ill probably forget some character so i apologize </3 (last post i fucking forgot dark sun im so sorry augh). also leaving out poly ships bc, again, this would go on Forever. AND ALSO same as before, the lower the rating the less i ship it and it isnt about me "disliking" it but rather not personally enjoying it
sun/eclipse - 10/10 - there is soooo much flexibility with this ship istg. probably why i always come back to it lol. it can be toxic, abusive, fluffy, enemies to lovers, fix-it, etc. *slaps suneclipse* you can fit so many dynamics in this bad boy
sun/solar - 10/10 - its on equal footing with sun/eclipse especially bc its the first ship i had in this fandom (tho i was very shy </3) cuz its just. ITS SO GOOD! its wonderful hurt/comfort and helping each other heal from the past they had with different versions of the other while also acknowledging that they arent the same and thats what makes them Better
sun/dark sun - 9/10 - do i just like selfcest? yes. yes i do. i think dark sun should let sun go apeshit and they take over the world while holding hands and kissing send post
sun/sunbeam - 8/10 - something something learning from an alternate/older version of yourself. i feel like sun would be able to guide sunbeam through a lot of things bc he understands sunbeam in a way others cant. or maybe i just like selfcest-
sun/moonshine - 7/10 - honestly i dont really Have any ideas for this ship but. i like them. i think itd be cute
sun/ruin - 7/10 - i think they could fix each other /j ghfskgjdfhg in all seriousness itd be fun. again, no ideas, but i like it
sun/solarflare - 6/10 - it most certainly has potential. lil guy with lots of energy x big emotionless robot learning about the world.
sun/foxy - 4/10 - i used to be a HUGE kidscove shipper but then i got bored after i started being more active with dca/dca ships in this fandom. i still think its fun and cute, i just dont like it anymore *shrug*
sun/bloodmoon - 4/10 - i can kinda see it? idk. maybe with v1 bloodmoon but v2? eh? idk man i just watch ppl clump rocks together on the playground and i sit there like "i have no fucking clue what theyre doing but theyre having fun with their rocks" and thats pretty much how i feel about this ship ghjfdghdk
sun/killcode - 3/10 - head empty so i got no comment </3 but i Do see the appeal of big monster x lil guy.
sun/monty - 3/10 - meh. not that interested in it. tho in general i dont really enjoy ships as much if they arent dca/dca rghsrgrgkj but yeah with this its an eh for me
sun/puppet - 2/10 - out of genuine curiosity- does anyone ship this? idk if ive seen it before so i feel like this is some ultra-rarepair shit. shout out to you if you ship this
i feel like im forgetting some ppl but thats okay cuz i can edit them in later when i remember who it is while im trying to sleep <3

Transcript: honestly I kinda don’t like how the polls work
first it only panders to the most popular (which I know is the point) but also like. They added underpants? Are you fucking serious? There’s so many others that are better than that?? Hell it’s not an au, it’s a parody. And the pandering with pros?? Look, I don’t like pros but I also just really don’t give a shit. But the pairing with dead and night seems like a play for them to be shipped. (Doesn’t help that cornmayor is a proshipper). It could’ve been a great opportunity to bring up newer AUs that aren’t as popular but nope. It’s. Weird to mefirst it only panders to the most popular (which I know is the point) but also like. And crediting people that have given up their character? Thats. Weird man. They’ve been specific about not being in the fandom anymore.
also like the amount of hate and slander that goes around about the characters?? Man I was so excited to celebrate and draw dream n blue and actually participate since I actually have twitter now for that reason but as soon as he was paired with Geno, people got very pissy I think. It seemed like it was ‘no dreams not sexy because of (opinion) and geno is more sexy because he was shirtless in canon once and he should get to fight error’ instead of ‘I think geno is more sexy’. It’s that kind of shit that just starts to ruin the whole community, it’s just dividing us.
… I don’t like the polls because of what it’s caused.

Transformers Prime characters and their favorite Winx + their similarities based on how I see it
Btw, as someone who watched Winx Club more than TFP I'm aware that some of these may be inaccurate, and therefore anyone is allowed to leave any corrections or just opinions. Whether you're from the TFP fandom or the Winx Club fandom, I'd appreciate it.
Bloom being Optimus' favorite
I think because how both have become leaders of their groups with the similar backstories too. Optimus Prime was used to be just Orion Pax as an archivist before got turned to a Prime, and Bloom was also a human at first before discovering she's a fairy and the strongest one who has the dragon flame power. For their personalities, yes, they're different. I do say both are very considerate about their actions and so.
Not gonna lie I do kinda think that Bloom could be Predaking's favorite too just because Predaking also have fire powers or just fire breath or just... dragons. You know what I mean. But I do also like to imagine Bloom would likely be a Predacon and turn to her own dragon-beast form. Just imagine if she could do that in the original show itself.
Stella being Knockout's favorite
Honestly both of them are iconic in their own show. They really prioritize their appearances well and get pissed off if someone just ruined their moment. At least for Knock Out in my opinion but Stella could also. Other than their personalities, I don't have much to say. But I do like how they like to use their staff/scepter. Also I don't know why but I imagine or just think Stella and Brandon having similar dynamic like Knockout and Breakdown.
Aisha/Layla being Arcee's favorite
They could relate so much to each other!! LISTEN! Both of them suffered so much with trauma and losing the people they loved and cared for, and they're willing to take revenge! They deserve a break and just hug each other, seriously. Besides that, I think they both have the same physical strength and are able enough to defend themselves from anything.
Tecna being Shockwave's favorite
No surprise at all. I could write so much about this logical duos. Literally the moment Tecna says anything about logic or saying something rationally or scientifically for the first time, Shockwave would be like:
"That's my favorite right there! It is only logical that she's so similar me!"
He would probably be really fascinated by her powers and her interests. Although I couldn't really tell what Tecna would think about him in canon. But I think both could actually get along and work together on some kind of project or something since both are also ambitious. They'll be talking so much stuff about science, technologies and Tecna could explain technomagic, and so on. The moment Tecna sacrificed herself and went gone probably caused Shockwave to have an emotional breakdown somehow. I also feel like Shockwave would dislike Timmy a little. Don't know why. Probably because I write this one AU where Shockwave and Soundwave are literally her parents/creators.
Musa being Soundwave's favorite
Now this is a tricky one. Because I feel like Soundwave's favorite would be Tecna and Musa in which he couldn't choose one between them. Also I think Soundwave and Tecna has this similar ability where they both can connect to any computer devices but it's probably not the same either.
If I am not mistaken, didn't Musa has that one spell that's name 'Soundwaves' or something similar to it? I mean, if we're talking about their abilities, I would say... not really or just not much the same?? Because when I think about Soundwave and his own abilities, I would say it's like the combination of Tecna's and Musa's powers.
Thus, the reason why I think Musa would be Soundwave's favorite is I think he would feel touched and/or at least feel sympathy or empathy regarding her past. I also feel like Soundwave would observe her most throughout including her relationship with Riven and others.
Flora being Bumblebee's favorite
This one is the hardest. For me, Bumblebee is the closest one to her. Not because I think they're both the nicest or anything. I always feel like they both have this potential that they keep to themselves or are afraid to use. Although it is towards Flora more.
Other than that... they're trying their best.

TikTok is FUMING over Jinx right now. A lot of people are dropping it and I don’t blame them, Jae is only gonna go downhill from here. I hope you don’t mind the really long ask cause I just have so many thoughts and no one to share with. I could write a thesis on Joo Jaekyung.
Honestly I had a whole interpretation of Jaekyung’s character and chapter 34 straight up changed that. He did two things I thought he would never do:
1) He aggressively put his hands on Heesung and directly threatened him with violence TWICE in the same chapter. I don’t think people realize how serious that is. He’s on equal footing with Heesung. They’re both celebrities. Both public figures. And for Jae, a fighter, an athlete, a scandal involving physical violence towards Heesung would literally RUIN his career. All this time I was thinking “Yeah, he’d never take his anger out on Heesung because they’re equals, Heesung’s got money and power. Dan is the weakest one in the situation so Jae will take it out on him” so look at me being a clown 🤡
2) He lied to Dan. For the first time in 34 chapters, he straight up manipulated him. Not tricked him. He directly intervened with his appointment with Heesung by lying, saying Heesung cancelled. It wasn’t even a GOOD lie!!! It was a half-assed, he didn’t even try to sound believable (because yes, Dan, you’re right, it makes NO sense for Heesung to contact Jae instead of you). But poor Dan believed him. My point is: I never took Jae for a liar, or even a manipulator. He was always either petty or very upfront about everything, so that shocked me. Which makes me believe now that Jae never lied to Dan until now because he never had to before. He always had full control of Dan as is, but the littlest threat to that hold on Dan made him do all that.
Ironic how half the fandom (me included) believed Heesung to be a conniving snake but turns out Jae’s the one who fits that description. In my mind, he was always a straight forward, violent douche. What you see is what you get kinda thing. And Heesung would be the “two-faced” douche to counter him. But Jae’s proven to be a lot more dangerous and sneaky ever since Heesung appeared. I guess this is the first chapter that legit has me thinking about how scary Jae is, not just because he’s violent, but because he’s shown he can be manipulative as well.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, i deeply appreciate it and honestly agree with so much about your essay.
I am a dark-content enjoyer. Nearly all my ships are fucked up, toxic or abusive. I went into Jinx knowing that it will have some skeevy stuff. However, i think this is actually the worst thing Jae has done so far. Yes, even worste than the sexual coercion. Because, as you said, until now he has been honest with Dan, and hasn't been withholding information (that we know of). He tells Dan when he wants to have sex, he tells him what he expects from him, he tells him how he feels about what they are doing. And Dan goes along with it, because as he thinks to himself, if he knows what is going to happen, if it is just this or that, then he can manage. But this "base of trust" has been completely ruined with chapter 34, when Jae does that stunt right in front of Heesung without Dan being aware.
I swear, my stomach dropped when i first saw that reveal, thinking for a hot second that he might let Heesung have his turn on Dan as well, without him even realizing.
That said, I never really got red flags from Heesung, and I honestly hope that he will reveal to Dan sooner rather than later what Jae has done. But for now, of course, we have to keep in mind that Jae has no problem getting phsyical, as well as the fact that he will lie, and manipulate and withhold knowledge without even batting an eye. So yeah, Jae is a manipulator, and a liar and just honest to God dangerous - curious to see how things will evolve from here.

Writing Pattern Tag Game
super late with this but better late than never! thank you for the tags @fadedsweater, @anneapocalypse, and @dragon--sage 🥰🥰 tagging back @roguelioness, @sarsaparillia, @korcariiwitch, @queenaeducan, @rosella-writes, @dreadfutures, @melisusthewee, @mel-0n-earth and anyone who sees this and wants to do it tbh!
Rules: list the first line of your last 10 fics and see if there's a pattern!
Goblins were disgusting, wretched little creatures, but even Astarion had to admit they knew how to throw a party.
from i'm not beaten by this yet (you can't tell me to regret) (bloodweave, explicit, 3k words)
It was only after Astarion had finished the kill—after the gut-deep slash, the satisfying spurt of blood—that he realized he was being watched.
from tear it through my heart (again, again, again) (tavstarion, mature, 4k words)
The cemetery was a quiet, unassuming little place, hidden between a shabby building and a formerly-tall church wall that was swiftly falling into ruin.
from cradle me with grace (tavstarion, explicit, 3k words)
Baldur’s Gate buzzed with all the activity of a healthy city, lively and unchanging throughout the ages.
from so long to this wretched form (tavstarion, teen, 4k words)
The tower at Moonrise was both more imposing and more cramped than Astarion had imagined.
from take me under, take me home (tavstarion, teen, 6k words)
The moon shone high overhead, and Ketheric Thorm’s world was crumbling all around him.
from deus proditus (Ketheric study, general, 1k words)
The thing was, Astarion really had wanted her from the moment he’d first laid eyes on her.
from let me wrap my teeth around the world (tavstarion, explicit, 5k words)
In retrospect, John should have waited before bringing his friends back to life.
from like prometheus we are bound, our godforsaken lot (John/Mercy/Augustine, The Locked Tomb, general, 2k words)
It starts so abruptly that Cliff doesn’t even realize what’s happening.
from you know how to make me crawl (Cliff/David, Black Mirror, explicit, 1k words)
Despite everything, and despite what her future memories will tell her, Erica grew up relatively happy in the House of Slaughter.
from ain’t it a gentle sound, the rolling in the graves (Erica study, Something Is Killing The Children, teen, 2k words)
so!! first of all I'm surprised I had to go deep enough that I ran out of bg3 fics lmao. I'd almost forgotten I'd written that black mirror fic!! and yet I didnt go far enough to reach a dragon age one 🥲 I really have left this fandom huh (for now! 😤🐺)
second of all, I'm surprised by how short some of these are! I definitely think of myself as more wordy, and I prefer my longer sentences when I look at this. I think the weakest are the bg3 ones in the middle where I have to establish which act we're in (and let me tell you I STRUGGLED with that Baldur's Gate city description, it was literally the last part I wrote in the fic and you can kinda tell i wanted to get things over with aksdh)
I do prefer the ones that are more character-centric (poor Ketheric, so dramatic lmao). I think if you're going in fandom-blind John's line is the most striking (he can bring people back from the dead???) even tho if you have the context it's not that impressive an opening 😂 And I super enjoyed writing astarion being a dick about goblins!
but I gotta say my favourite line is the "it was only after Astarion had finished the kill" etc etc from tear it through my heart 🥰🥰 in fact I liked that line so much I made it the summary! these are the kind of vibes I want to always achieve 👀 also, honestly, I should start in action/medias res more often! it seems like a fun style I've tragically underused so far

thoughts on the greys s19 finales? s19 kinda underwhelmed me (marina is cute but the baby thing bores me to no end which in turns makes them as a ship dull to me sacrilege i know lol but it’s the truth) and i never got super into yasuda/helm but im kinda loving the possibility of yasuda/jules? idk what’s going on there but the chemistry>>>
ohh boy. so i have a lot of thoughts on the finales LOL. it got really really long and it only aired yesterday so spoilers are under the cut for those that haven't seen!
grey's:
sooo. i hated it. as a writer, as a viewer, i fucking hated it. honestly, i should have come into the fandom earlier because this season being my first to watch live sucked ASS and was more losing than winning. narratively speaking, the vast majority of the writing choices made ZERO sense. not winston/monica (AFTER ALL THE MONMELIA BUILD UP??), not julesmika (sorry, i love them, but they make no narrative sense. unless they're trying for a mertina type relationship which im not sure i entirely like either), and not whatever bullshit was going on with catherine. i know she has played big bad boss lady in the past but honestly this season the writing for her was very... flat? one dimensional? it was almost like she could ONLY be the antagonist and she wasn't allowed to have any other role in this season. i don't think we saw her outside of the hospital at all in the whole 10 episodes. while i DO understand they had to make some necessary cuts because of the shortened length of the season... was it really worth keeping catherine fox in this season if they were going to ruin her?? because i do NOT think so. and what was UP with her firing half the hospital in one episode??? fuck that??
to be completely honest lol, i'm tired of this show and the way they hate their gays. helmika breakup, no monmelia ANYTHING -- making monica hook up with winston after zero build up?? if you want to write a bisexual character this is NOT the way to do it -- schmitt leaving next season, trying to build up the julesmika relationship when midori is leaving in the next season?? i admit they're cute, but there's no way the relationship is sustainable. and it makes me so sad.
and... oh my god don't get me started on mernick. to preface everything i say about them: i think they're cute! genuinely i do! i don't hate them at all, which makes it so much harder when i have to say that they make no sense together long term. meredith is very clearly not as in love with him as he is with her (he said he wanted to marry her, walked out, and she had. zero reaction. to any of it. if anything she kind of treats him like a child?😭) and she only really fights for him when it looks like he's going to leave. she'll only fight for her stability if there's a real threat of losing it. in a way, i suppose it's not surprising. they mirror merder but only in all the bad ways, the way that merder was starry eyed intern x dreamy neurosurgeon turns into the way that mernick is essentially idol x fan. there's no way either of those relationships could have lasted in the long run -- BECAUSE of their foundations. and it makes me so sad bc why is meredith doing the same fucking things after 20 SEASONS. she of ALL the characters deserves to have some character development after all this time.
station 19:
loved it. cried so many times. the episode ended and i walked around feeling so empty. i will admit i have only seen marina spoilers and have not watched any of the seasons until season 7, so my view might be a bit skewed. cried with the marina family (maya's development from season 1 to season 7? 🥹), cried when travis went with vic (someone finally choosing to put first the Put Everyone Else First Person??? hello tears). the flashes forward and back were so interesting, definitely kept me engaged. i was so scared tho when they kept showing the burning gear when andy was missing 😭 i was like they BETTER NOT have killed her. and then all was well <3 more or less.
overall for station 19, i think they really did the best they possibly could have with how many episodes they were given to wrap up the series if it doesn't end up getting picked up. i liked it a lot more than grey's, for sure :)

He was introduced on Chapter 2 Season 2, the Spies! Season (known to be the Midas Season and one of the best season)
I have NO IDEA why I started liking him, looking back at his design, he is pretty boring(? Nor even handsome, I do think his model was used for more skins(? Maybe to ones with the face covered. But as you can see looks weird
I really don’t remember why I just connected with him, not even with the first time he came on the item shop, it was later because I remember I waited for months for him to come again, and man, the day I bought him, since that day I used him non stop until I quit playing fortnite on chapter 3 season 3
Naturally, I also drew him a ton
Tumblr media
And a lot of things happened since then, I created lore for him, I named him (his name is Sig, in my head his whole nickname was “Signature” and his real name was Edén)
I remember I used him to roleplay, which was what really made me create a deep story and give him characteristics. For example, I explained his white hair and skin by him having albinism (which is not that creative lmao) I also explained that he is always wearing dark glasses because his eyes are very sensitive to light, he was mainly a hacker. And probably one of the most important things I HC for him is that he loves frogs
This was before Fortnite added animals, and when the animals came on the Primal season I WAS SO DAMN HAPPY LMAO
Tumblr media
So then, that I made this drawing of him as a frog
Tumblr media
And I continued using him, playing with friends, having fun, all while I was going through some hard stuffs on my life (pandemic included)
So Sig really became a HUGE comfort character for me, it’s probably the character that I’ve feel more comfort with, and when I think about him to this day, I still smile by just remember the good times I spend while wearing him on Fortnite.
Of course there was some shitty things happening (like people calling him one of the ugliest skins hfjfh. I mean, kinda) but honestly I don’t care anymore haha
At the time I was so pissed tho, but I understand now.
When I had my 20 birthday I even asked a frog to be drawn on the cake, and it was because of him. I don’t have a pic of that, but that happened fr.
And another important thing about Sig is that he was actually the character I used to learn how to draw nsfw and suggestive stuffs, which to me is REALLY important, cuz this might sound crazy but learning that helped me improve my art an insane amount (just think that at the time I didn’t practice much naked human figure. And when I started doing so, my anatomy learn when to a peak. Yes, drawing nsfw helps with learning anatomy)
So he was also important to me artistically speaking
And while writting this I just realize how important he really was to me in so many ways, and for a character that only has a name and one stupid sentence for description, that is…
Crazy
At last, when I was stepping away from fortnite for personal reasons (and also because my switch was dying) I really wanted to keep Sig in some way
So I made this character, which is clearly based on everything I did with him so far
Tumblr media
His name is Caesar, he is a frog
And he was going to be just that, but after all this and him carrying everything that Sig means to me. He is not just a frog character
He is my sona, my second sona to be exact, being the first one The Vicepresident
And that’s the story of how a fortnite skin became so important to me that I made them an actual original character
Right now, playing fortnite again… it might sound weird, but I don’t use Sig anymore, it doesn’t mean I don’t love him anymore, I still do. But his period as my main skin ended years ago, and I don’t want to ruin those beautiful experiences I had with him back then
That’s why he was my main, and now, I’ll wait for other skin to come and be my new Sig.

What are your gripes with the Slow Damage translation? I thought it was pretty great.
hi anon! tbh i used to have the same view as you probably do, the translation like by itself isn't terrible, it gets the point across and i still enjoyed the game regardless.
but then i found out about the jp version and realized that they kinda gave towa some out of character lines? its more of the translation choices that the fandom has a problem with. a lot of unserious lines were added and i feel like part of it was focused on giving it some funny moments instead of staying true to the source material
there are a lot of people that can articulate the problems better than i can but just to give you a rundown:
-changed the game from third person to first person apparently? i briefly heard about this so i dont have anything ready to back this up with but
-the usage of crude unsexy words like "half chub" "buttslut" "eyepussy" which is just. LMAO it honestly depends on your preference with sexy/dirty talk
Tumblr media
-"sounds gay" at the end of fujiedas route. in the time i found it funny (which is why i have the pic rn, bc i took a screenshot when i played) but when you really think about it after such a long impactful lore filled route its like maybe i dont think its that appropriate to put in a little joke like this here? i think the original was along the lines of "sounds cheesy" or something like that since towa wasnt used to romantic affectionate stuff, and i lowkey just feel like hewouldnotfuckingsaythat.jpg
-"hasta la vista" when Taku shoots toono near the end of his route lol. he didnt rly say that but i assume it was added for localization purposes
-basically a lot of translation/localization choices that give off pretty different tones compared to the original that not a lot of people liked
this is just me giving you the main complaints about it that go around. personally i still lean more towards neutral, i dont think its THAT bad and it didnt ruin my experience at all but once you think about it a bit more its just like yeah maybe that line was a bit out of place and doesnt fit towa's character. maybe the wording used there didnt convey the same message that the jp version did, and made it a little hard to take serious. but at the end of the day if you liked it then thats fine as well! im just telling you the main problems the fandom has with it if you didnt know already

I’m back sooo many days later because I just thought of the biggest “controversial” challengers take:
WHY THE FUCK DID THEY MAKE PATRICK THE ENEMY??? But also like. Tashi.
They fucked me up with that one #freehim like. Idk maybe I’ve just come to hate the whole “Tashi loves tennis” take. I feel like they made her character a little too serious rather than complex especially for young Tashi. Like she came across the most childish pair of boys and you expect me to believe Tashi Duncan settled for either of them?? They should’ve made her character a little less definitive I think. I hate to make it sound like I’m trying to lower the quality of her character but it just kinda doesn’t make sense to have her three-way kiss with two boys the first night she meets them, get in a relationship with Patrick and then Art? and then CHEAT on her husband like we kinda lost the plot I fear.
The dorm scene was a bit weird in terms of dialogue “I mean we’re dating right? It’d be a little embarrassing if you suck” to “Honestly what do you think you need from me? a cheerleader? a girlfriend? a fuck buddy?”
Btw I love Tashi, this isn’t hate to pookie.
ok i agree with you like the movie being like "PATRICK ZWEIG, THE HOMELESS MAN WHO IS ABOUT TO RUIN THEIR MARRIAGE" when all he did was being in love with two people
the tashi loves tennis take is the worst take of the fandom, i swear
i think it is very realistic that bad bitch tashi duncan ends up with a loser, look at every straight women around you and look at their boyfriends.....

1, 8, 19, 22?
Thanks! I'm just worried about this because I'm so rusty when it comes to the OUAT fandom but let's see.
1. the character everyone gets wrong
You know what? I'm gonna come out and say it - Facilier. The sheer amount of people I saw hemming and hawing about whether or not he was good for Regina because "he's a villain" and "has some hidden agenda" is absolutely appalling. Like, wtf do you mean is he good for her? He's literally the best! He is the only person on the show that's consistently put Regina over himself and his own wants. Like, I know he didn't have a lot of time to mess up but honestly, I don't think that even the writers understood him. He was giving off such strong Rumplestiltskin 2.0 vibes, which is the reason why I think the fandom had this reaction to him, and the writers really kind of went that way when he was even killed by Wish Rumple for wanting the dagger. It was a total waste of a perfectly good, intriguing character, not to mention husband material. Facilier deserved better treatment by everyone. Shadow Queen also deserved better!
8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
Oh, god, I have no idea what's common.
Oh... Oh, fuck, now I wish I hadn't thought about this but...
People hating on season 7, usually without even having seen it. I think season 7 is my favorite season. There were plot lines that were unnecessary or got derailed or just didn't go anywhere but there was so much fresh stuff in there as well.
Usually, people don't even want to give it a chance because most of the og cast isn't even in there and I understand that because I hate big changes in my shows as well but the truth is that the writers had no idea what to do with the og cast since around the end of season 3 and they were clearly unwilling to spin a different angle to these characters and they were bringing in a new set of characters every half season. It only made sense to get more new characters and let them stay for a longer time.
Really, Henry, Ella and Lucy are precious, Wish Killian and Alice are one of the best parent-child relationships on the show, Alice and Robin are perfect and I think that Lady Tremaine and Gothel are some of the most ruthless villains of the show. There's a lot of raw emotion and fun twists and even if it doesn't end up being people's favorite, I think they should at least give it a chance.
19. you're mad/ashamed/horrified you actually kind of like...
I'm kinda mad that I was into the Cruella x Isaac clusterfuck of a relationship (if it can even be called that). On the one hand, they are not compatible at all. But on the other hand, he is so much of a slimy worm that he somehow manages to match her in horribleness and villainy; he's just on the other side of the spectrum, the pathetic wet cat side. There were clearly feelings. Extremely fucked up feelings. It really is like you're preparing to watch a car crash in slow motion but then you end up being ran over by the car instead, which is a perfect description for them. And that leads me to the fact, that her signature car was actually his first? Oh... oh, I hate the writers for this. Now I'm sold and there's no getting out.
22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores
I guess the tension between Regina x Rumple. Now this is kind of the opposite of question #8 in that the majority of the fandom is correct that s6 Golden Queen was a mistake and, frankly, kind of disgusting and I am saying this as someone whose first ship from the show was Golden Queen. Season 6 absolutely ruined everything that I enjoyed about the ship in favor of what? Them having sex? With zero of the actual appeal of their relationship being involved? And they still could have done something good with that! The fact is that Rumple was treating the queen like a puppet for his plans and that's exactly what she was! That's why he created her. But they should have added more about her being more of a mirror reflection of his. I don't want to write a whole analysis of their dynamic here because I was actually saving that for a meta post (as soon as I find the time to work on it) but the truth is that Regina learned all of her weapons, all of her villainy from him. Even her mannerisms. And now that the little remaining good inside her is gone and there's no conscience to hold her back, she could be even more like Rumple. But at the same time, she's a broken reflection of the situation with Baelfire, who was trying to help Rumple only to be abandoned. And Regina discarded the Evil Queen like trash. Also, another good angle here because Regina practically decided that everything she learned from Rumple was useless. They could have shown him be at least a little attached to the queen on merit of that.
But the thing is that the tension between Rumple and Regina comes from her good parts, the ones that remained with Regina after the split. And that tension has been there all along. He had to take every last thing from her in order to force her to cast the Curse, no matter how bitter and evil he'd managed to make her over the years. He had to crush her hope completely until the only thing that could rekindle it was casting the Curse. Which is the exact same situation that he's in - the Curse is his only hope to find his son. And even after that, Regina is still doing better than he is! And he knows that! The best example of that is his line in 2x09 when he says "One day maybe they'll even invite you to dinner". Because she did what he couldn't - put her own feelings aside to do what is best for her child. There is a tiny bit of goodness inside her persisting no matter what he's doing and that is driving him insane because it is a constant source of problems for him. It took him years - decades - to make her cast the Curse, her trust in Henry really slapped him in the face with his failures where his own son was concerned, her interference in getting revenge on Zelena for killing his son, her sacrifice for Henry undoing his happy ending in 4x22, her splitting herself eventually leading to even more issues between him and Belle. And on the other hand, Regina's attachment to him has gotten her in so many problems but, ultimately, his mistakes and schemes are what got her Henry - the biggest happiness in her life (and he almost killed Henry several times but that's the point exactly). Still, after all of that, they both gravitate towards each other and there's this kind of understanding between them because in certain ways they're similar, but there's also resentment because of the ways in which they're different. It makes for an extremely compelling dynamic and people are so quick to brush it off.

Local amnesiac clockman in dystopian city gets hired/abducted by the 12 complete messes based on literature, the lamest badass in the setting and his funny amnesiac daughter. Gets told to give therapy to said messes by looking for branches in ruined scp facilities while occasionally incurring on the wrath of capitalism and the little prince for some reason.
Said total messes are:
Straight up the korean poet Yi Sang because his most known poem had a character named "I"
Autism filled woman who is technically the actual boss of everyone
Woman don quixote
Fucked up japanese artist except her art is violence
Autistic french man with gap moe
Sheltered chinese man with the most fucked up family ever
A brit with a bat named revenge
Fish bisexual obsessed with murdering a metaphorical whale
Mommy Russian with only food and no hindsight in her head
Closeted young man with a fuckload of trauma involving ableist cultists
Straight up fucking Odysseus but in woman
And our ptsd riddled cockroach: Greg
See on one hand I genuinely appreciate the attempt here.
On the other hand this is extremely fandomized and I can't really learn anything from it as a result, especially considering that this covered stuff I already sorta know from just having played through the first major part of the game before having issues with it but more specifically from the fact that it's on the website for the game.
I need to reiterate my first bit here, I genuinely appreciate the attempt and I do not seek to belittle or insult the sender or anyone in question for attempting to enlighten me on the game but hear me out if you will...
All the information provided can be obtained from the website for the game or the first 10 minutes of the game; however it is only partially factual.
I am interested in Limbus Company, the game; not "Limbus Company The Abridged Version As Seen by the Fandom." When people go on and on about character analysis and plot depth and why it's so cool and interesting and deep and fun I want to jump in and engage with them on the narrative and such, but I can't because I'm not: A. Financially well off to Gacha for shit. B. Good enough at the game to get very far. And as a website that talks a lot about accessibility in games I feel like if anyone is going to shoot me down with a "git gud" it'd be kinda dumb, like sir/ma'am/individual of non-specific gender identity; you are on the "games should let you experience the story even if you're bad" website, please sit down.
I was honestly kind of hopeful that I would get some serious answers; and while some people have given me more serious answers than others; a lot of what I get is either specifically the start of the game which ignores/overlooks/doesn't mention the folks Dante is having an encounter with at the start, the fact they can use their clock head powers to turn back time and revive the sinners; or even the fact that they have no idea why any of it can happen. Like no one has even mentioned the whole star thing? I think it was a star? Something like that, anyways that thing was pretty cool and no one talks about it.
What I do often hear is how cooky and ku-ray-zee the main cast of silly little guys is; which I feel massively takes away from who they actually are.
"And our ptsd riddled cockroach: Greg" Alright since I've actually played through the first bit of the game so I know just enough about Gregor's story, why do we summarize a man who literally was a child experiment; who was betrayed by the only parental figure he knew; who was made to kill and murder without understanding of it literally like drugged or some shit to think he was just cutting apples; and who's body literally mutates into a cockroach down to just "lol he's a silly little guy with ptsd" ptsd from what exactly? Oh you mean the fucking Smoke Wars? One of the if not the biggest event in the PM Universe?
Like okay I understand I said "hey maybe don't send me entire documentary style paragraphs of text because my ADHD brain will not let me read them" and that's true, but I also really don't vibe with this whole concept of "this person doesn't know the characters at all so I'm going to call one bisexual, I'm going to call one a mommy, I'm going to call one a ptsd riddled cockroach named greg lol" Like I don't know how much of this is fandom and how much of this is real anymore. I know that some characters in PM's universe ARE LGBT so the idea of one of the Sinners maybe being Bisexual isn't too far fetched, but is that completely fandom interpretation or is it real? I sure as hell don't know when characters like Gregor who have deeper meaningful stories that tie into the world as a whole are boiled down to a one line joke about, I guess his name being Greg?
Like again I have nothing against the person who sent this or anything, I'm sure you meant well and I'm glad you're excited enough about the game that you reached out to me; that's all great and such, but I can't help but need to point out that you're talking to someone who knows almost nothing, but not nothing; about this game
and you're choosing to represent it in such a way that might be factual or might be fandomized and I can't tell the difference when the things I know are fandomized are present or when it mostly consists of jokes.
"Local amnesiac clockman in dystopian city gets hired/abducted by the 12 complete messes based on literature, the lamest badass in the setting and his funny amnesiac daughter."
Kind of not really. Like I'm not even going to get into the fact that technically speaking Dante is a Clock Person not necessarily confirmed Clock Man. I AM however going to get into the fact that they come to Dante's rescue(?) during what is essentially an execution; Dante is going to die and these 12 sinners jump in to fight for them for seemingly some reason we don't get to know yet. Hired is a much better word than abducted in this sense. Don't even get me started on "the lamest badass" because like, that entirely ignores the fact you're talking about who I can only assume is Vergilius AKA The Red Gaze, which is sorta huge considering what we've seen of Color Fixers, and you know; the entirety of the Comic/Light Novel Leviathan released prior to the game. What would a color fixer be doing with the sinners? What is his connection with Dante? Even having read Leviathan these sorts of questions are interesting and they create interest as someone who wants to question and explore the setting and it's themes.
AND I'M SORRY BUT "HIS DAUGHTER"??? Has that been confirmed because I highly doubt that unless there's some dialogue somewhere in the game that shows he adopted her or something, I mean yea he clearly cares about the orphans, but like I don't recall him ever adopting her and if he did I can't tell if you're telling me a fact or a fandom here because of everything else you've stated.
Are you beginning to see the problem here?
I literally have to wave off everything you just told me as no more than "lol silly jokes man lol" and I don't mean to be some asshole about it either but this isn't really going to help anyone get into a game or a story or anything because I don't really KNOW anything about it.
Again I'm not mad, I'm not trying to be rude; I've got nothing against Alex or anything! I appreciate someone taking the time out of their day to send me this but it ultimately doesn't tell me anything I'm just as much in the dark as I was.
This is specifically why it's so hard for me to interact with a lot of larger communities, a lot of the information I want is factual, from the source material; but I'm perhaps not skilled enough at the games to obtain it myself, so I turn to the community for information since people tend to enjoy talking about the things they like, and instead of getting actual information I get in-jokes I don't yet have context for, and fandomization that isn't actually true to the source material.
I understand I may come off a little harsh here, so for that I do apologize if I've come across rude. That being said, please do try to refrain from sending people who know next to nothing about your interests, a ton of fandomized in-jokes they won't understand, it feeds into the misinformation loop. Can you imagine if I went around telling everyone that Charon was Vergil's daughter when in reality he treats her as "something of a daughter" according to the publicly editable and horrible "fandom wiki" which is the only place that I could find information about it.
Tumblr media
This isn't the same thing as say a biological daughter, or even an adoptive one. Which could be an interesting plot dynamic. I mean do you guys remember what happened last time a Color Fixer had a kid? Or rather I should say, last time a Color Fixer WAS GOING to have a kid? That was kind of a big deal. It's not really a shocker to learn that the guy who really likes orphans would be nice to the child.
anyways sorry for the lengthy explanation of "this isn't really what I'm looking for" but I've literally spoke on this whole "fandomization of characters bothers me a lot" topic before several times for literally this exact reason.

continuing the 'gunter is a obfuscating snake of a sleezeball in the married conquest route and i'm kinda into it' thought: one line that bothered me for a while was in his JP S-support; it's basically his confession line:
Gunther: A promise is a promise. Please answer the question. Kamui: Y-yeah, all right… I don’t have anyone like that… Gunther: I see. Then, what about someone like me? Kamui: W-what? Gunther: You are the only woman that I have loved.
[record scratch] here's the fun thing:
that is a straight up lie.
what about your dead wife gunter? the one you spent twenty-thirty years plotting revenge for and was the literal reason you got possessed by? (kronk voice) that wife? :P
there's a few plausible reasonings for this discrepancy: one, it's not the character, somebody at nintendo straight up didn't play revelation. fates was rushed, it's entirely possible that some S-supports were not double-checked for facts when iirc the routes were being done by separate teams. (1b: technically you could argue 'maybe he didn't actually love her lol' which is darkly hysterical, but that feels so wildly out of character to the whole 'plotting revenge for 20 years' shtick that i'm tossing that out). and then two: nintendo itself fully intended gunter to be lying to corrin.
and i think it's that second reasoning.
which is interesting b/c nintendo almost always falls on the line of warping characters to be lovestruck waifus/husbandos that worship you/corrin even if it starts to bend/break their characterization. why keep his sharp, murky edges of all characters? I genuinely don't think i've ever seen nintendo go as far as have a character baldly lie to you the player so boldly especially when it comes to the main love confession---nintendo doesn't really mix the 'cold blooded emotional manipulation' with the waifuism.
now ... I do think he genuinely loves corrin [gestures @ my whole revelation loveblog]. different topic, that, but both can co-exist, since i think gunter doubling down on the 'you're the only one :)' shtick is him being so petrified at how many questions will be asked about his past, especially in conquest.
don't forget in conquest, corrin (thinks) and is truly considered to be garon's daughter.
you know. the dude that killed his wife he swore revenge on.
awkward, my dude, to fall in love with garon's daughter, lul.
and yet - gunter's trying to balance 'we genuinely love each other, let's start with a clean slate' with 'she's gonna start asking shit i don't want to get into if i do try to be honest ... nope nope nope not gonna go there'. he's a bit of a coward there, but in some ways i can't blame him. there's a lot of hints that point to him being painfully lonely as a closet widow, and the idea of ruining this tender new love with a lot of painful shit in his past is a risk he just kinda... sidesteps.... and keeps sidestepping........... until it's just too awful to even bring up to begin with.
it's a very human flaw.
but even still on the other hand, i think it says a lot of darkly nuanced things that he has no qualms not even just not telling corrin shit, his spouse in conquest, but actively lying to her about his past and doubling down on that secret.
honestly in another metatextual level, it's kind of fridge brilliance for setting up how, mmmm long-term emotionally manipulative he can be, that's only really shown in revelation ('i've been using you all along'). you also see glimmers of it with corrin's A-support with silas with the literal gaslighting corrin to forget about silas; so this isn't a one-off moment.
gunter is a fucking fantastic snake of an actor.
and lastly on another level, ultimately i think that line is actually one of those that explains some people's terrible reading comprehension of gunter. don't forget that Fate's EN fan-translation scene that first year was huge, far bigger than any other FE game, and so a lot of fandoms/people's opinions were shaped by osmosis from the JP script versus the EN script. I could totally see people taking that implication he's never been married at face value and genuinely being confused as to his actual backstory if they've never played revelation. basically everything about his character is all misdirections right down to playing players like a fiddle with his assumed archetype (jeigan, wholesome dad), and the abyss between what he says and what he is.
tl;dr more sleazeball midlife crisis jeigans plz 🙏

Star Trek TOS for the fandom ask game!
Character I first fell in love with:
So this is another sci-fi series I was introduced to very young. When I was little I'd grab the VHS tapes of marathons my parents had recorded and watch them obsessively for TOS and TNG.
But first favorite character. Um... Either Spock, Scotty, or Uhura. I really don't know which. Definitely one of those three though.
Character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
Yeoman Rand. She was a quickly dropped character from the first season and I don't think she made much of an impression on young me. But older me is well aware of what happened behind the scenes and what her character was meant to be... and honestly I love this character now. Janice is a really sweet, likable woman. She's friends with Sulu, she's patient with a socially stunted teenager with a crush on her, she has this mutual attraction with Kirk that neither act on because they respect each other too much as coworkers to risk ruining that...
She's this complicated and lovely character and the actress who portrayed her deserved so much better than she got. She does show up in the movies, however, so I'm glad that Janice got to have a good career in Starfleet.
(Seriously, though, Janice was supposed to be a pretty major role and what happened to Grace Lee Whitney is appalling.)
Character everyone loves but I don’t:
I don't know that there is one?
Maybe Gary Mitchell? I don't know how well liked he'd be considered, but he's an entitled ass. Not really sure how Kirk was friends with him even pre-psionic powers/a-god-am-I breakdown, because this guy treated women kinda... badly. He set Kirk up with a woman as a distraction attempt while taking Kirk's class at the Academy. Behaved like an entitled asshole when Elizabeth Dehner shot him down - using what I recognize now as some pretty aphobic language. And he was pretty shitty to Spock too.
I would have preferred him to have been the villain played by Cumberbatch than Khan but that's in part because he would have made such a perfect foil to new!Kirk. (And then you don't have to explain why a white guy is playing an Indian character...)
There's also The Companion but if I start talking about that clusterfuck I will probably forget to answer the rest of the questions due to losing my temper over that particular... episode. (It is bad though and I'd happily... well, not happily but I would rant about it if asked.)
Character I love but everyone else hates:
Similarly, I don't know how much Elizabeth Dehner is liked, but I really love her. I read her as aspec and career focused. She gets super powers that have already made someone else (admittedly someone who was already an entitled twit) go all 'a god am I' but she still keeps her compassion. She still recognizes that no, actually, they don't have the right to rewrite reality to suit their whims.
She saves Kirk at the cost of her own life. And I will never forgive new!Trek comics for writing her off as barely a footnote, Bones' ex who won't set foot on the ship because he's there. >_<
Character I used to love but don’t any longer:
I don't know that I've got an answer to this one. All those beloved characters.
Character I would kiss:
No kissing, but I bet Uhura gives the best hugs.
Character I want to slap:
In the Galileo Seven episode I want to slap Bones and a few other minor characters for the way they treat Spock.
A pairing I love:
Kirk/Spock, but I have to admit new Trek had me taken a second look at Spock/Uhura
A pairing I hate:
Hmmm... I don't know? There are a lot of one off ships for Kirk that I'm not fond of for various reasons. Some because he's pretty clearly only manipulating the situation to protect his crew. Some because he's not actually in a position to consent and the power imbalance - memory manipulation/amnesia/external threats - makes the whole thing pretty awful.
Elaan/Kirk is one that very much sticks out because he's literally brainwashed by her tears.
