devastating to go into the tag for an obscure vampire movie I've been quietly obsessed with for years to find mostly gifsets of minor characters (played by big-name actors) and review blogs saying they didn't like it :(

Rita Hayworth had a wonderful experience making Cover Girl.

"We had a sensational time with Gene and Phil," she later said. "I knew we had a rapport -- they were both so great to work with. It was a happy time. I didn't know we were doing anything special, but you knew it was going to be good because it felt good making it."

As it happens, it was during production on this film that Hayworth married Orson Welles.

Cover Girl / Rita Hayworth as Rusty Parker

Who says redheads can't wear pink? I particularly like the jacket on this outfit, with the princess seams and the silver chain across the front.

The contrasting black accessories are a nice touch as well. I think I've seen flat hats like that in vintage clothing stores and wondered how anyone was supposed to wear them. I guess you need this sort of hairstyle to pull it off!
