spent ages preparing to audition for a role I really really wanted and it's looking like (still unconfirmed) they might not even be holding auditions at all but have just given it to someone directly
which, meh, that sucks but that's the industry!
I'm just like now what? I spent a lot of my free time the last few months prepping and I genuinely don't know what to do with myself now!

martin short is a legend!!! his performance in episode 2 of s4 is an emmy tape!!!!! he was brilliant!!and the script for this season is amazing!!! they separated the suspects into two episodes, which I found very interesting!! cuz they didn't interact at all and we can't exclude anyone who has appeared so far…. (SPOILERS IN THE TAGS)
#jan saying that a killer only hides a body if he doesn't want to alert the real target left me like this 👀👀#I think the target was Charles! cuz the person who killed sazz didn't clean her house so they don't know that it was full of clues#so i think 1) sazz noticed some strange movement 2) she was investigating 3) and then she died instead of charles#thinking about the clues#she lives in L.A. so the strange movement could have been noticed there (the stuff in the movie) but how did it lead to arconia?#are there two mysteries? maybe what Sazz was investigating had nothing to do with the attempted murder and everything to do with the movie?#but I do think hollywood and brazzos have a role in the murder/attempt#maybe someone who worked on brazzos saw that charles could return to Hollywood with the movie so they decided to kill him?#It could be one of brazzos' card-playing buddies that charles mentioned!#and the card game could even be the one that mabel and oliver played with the westies#god this season is really good already#omitb#omitb s4#mabel mora#charles haden savage#oliver putnam#only murders in the building

Thinking about a bunch of forty-somethings getting a notification that @t.kinard has posted something on his insta for the first time in like, five years, then immediately jumping to DM's or text to razz Tommy about his boyfriend with the fuckboy haircut -- meanwhile Tommy is furiously trying to hide the texts from Buck because he likes the fuckboy haircut and he's a little afraid Buck will just buzz it all off if he sees a single message from a guy Tommy hasn't talked to since high school or an army buddy who's never done anything BUT give Tommy shit.
Buck sees one anyway and instead of freaking out about it he leans into it for the rest of the night, complete with sexting him (from the other side of the couch).
Tommy gets to keep the beloved curls atop his boyfriends head and Buck remembers exactly why he'd left Buck 1.0 in the dust (the roleplay that night is fun as fuck, though).

ugh i really am kind of fucking devastated about shadow and bone. it's not even about wanting to see specific book moments with specific blorbos, even tho there were in fact So Many storylines that the varying actors never got to play with the way they deserved to..... i just.
i liked the writing so much.

I hate how now every time a discourse is being had about classic Disney movies, the godawful remakes (or retellings) have to be included in the conversation. It's no longer just the animated movie that is adressed. You can't discuss Aladdin without its 2019 remake, Sleeping Beauty without its 2014 remake, The Little Mermaid without its 2023 remake, Beauty and the Beast without its 2017 remake, The Lion King without its 2019 remake, Mulan without its 2020 remake, etc, etc, etc. I hate how they will be forever attached to these classic movies. It actually pisses me off to no avail.

#fave spotting#robert shaw#the adventures of the scarlet pimpernel#classic tv#itp#itc#1955#more info on this series (and why it's an ITP production but also ITC) in the tags on my prev Pat Troughton fave spotting post#Robert wasn't quite a newcomer at this point‚ having been acting onscreen for a couple of years by now‚ but he certainly#hadn't made it yet; this might have been his big break‚ except that his character never reappears after this first episode#i suspect this acted as a pilot‚ with some of the establishing footage reappearing in a later ep and with Shaw's character being#replaced for the series by two helpers for the Pimpernel‚ played by Pat Troughton and Anthony Newlands#quite why Bob left idk; there isn't a huge amount of information out there about this near 70 yr old bit of tv obscurity#but he did alright; the following year he'd take the lead in one of ITC's next ventures The Buccaneers and shortly after that#he'd start landing film roles that would ultimately catapult him to Hollywood and to big screen immortality#added to which of course he was already making a name for himself on the english stage (and by the end of the decade he'd be adding#novelist to his list of accomplishments). he's very good here tho naturally falling into a supporting role; he's there to look#impressed by Goring's genius and feats of bravery and to occasionally lend a hand in a fight. i do think Troughton and Newlands#get more character to play with in their parts but then they get multiple appearances to help them with it#The Buccaneers is on my shelf where it has sat for some years now... one day... one day....

so i've been listening to the audiobooks of the hunger games series and decided i should watch the movies, which i've never done before, and uhhhhhhh these movies suck dude
