Merry Buggymas!!

Just wanted to sincerely wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄 🥂

This was the first time in who recalls how many years that I actually put up a tree! All that one can say is, I was naturally inspired! 😉

Since becoming older, presents are not something that I receive anymore. Decided to participate in a One Piece gift exchange. Waiting eagerly until Christmas Day to open my gifts!

Due to health issues, I have been incapable of getting caught-up with my collection update posts. I had hoped that yesterday's Chiropractor visit would have helped, but it has not. 😭

Today, I went to Panera Bread Company.

As I was ordering my food, one of the regular employees came from behind the counter and starting saying goodbye to their family members who were visiting during the Christmas holidays. There were tears and hugs being given and it was truly heartwarming to witness.

After this employee resumed work, I asked, "Is your family visiting from out of state?"

She said, "Yeah, they live in Florida."

I told her, "That's really rough to have to say goodbye after having a good time with your family, huh?"

She said, "Yeah it is. They've been here for a week. It's time for them to go home."

After the interation with this employee, I told my partner... "If I ever won the lottery, I'd buy that Panera employee a plane ticket to see her family in Florida."

this is your friendly reminder to give yourself a break over the holidays.

especially if your family sucks and you can't really relax or be happy with them around.

especially if you do love your family but because of whatever reasons you can't spend the holidays together.

especially if you're mentally ill and the holidays are more stress than joy.

especially if you're chronically ill and the pain may flare up during the holidays.

especially if you've just become single and the holidays are rough alone.

especially if you've lost someone you loved and the holidays are rough without them.

you are loved. you are seen. and you are not alone, okay? I know how hard it can be, but I also know the holidays are temporary and will be over in maximum two weeks.

you can get through two weeks, I believe in you.

go listen to your favourite music, no matter if it's christmassy. go and have some good, proper meal every day, and treat yourself; food is good! food is life! and you deserve to eat well every day of the year but especially around the holidays. go and maybe decorate a little, with candles or garlands or whatever you like, it doesn't have to be christmassy either, the halloween décor from two months ago is fine. go and try to take a shower if needed, brush your teeth, put on some freshly washed clothes, you'll feel the difference immediately. and then go and reach out to your friends or family (can 1000 percent be your chosen family, no gatekeeping the word family here!!) or your mutuals on whichever social media platform you'd like. I promise it will make a difference for you and for the person you reached out to.

we don't have to be alone and we can get through these two weeks, alright? I love you all, stay safe! 💛
