#Hogwarts Legacy era

Two drawings i made different days, different concepts but somehow got intertwined.

Hanging at Hogwarts hallways (1890), based on videos of Sebastian eating apples and Ominis reading (Braille invented in 1824, and even if it's a muggle method, i like to think he doesn't care)

Ominis in 1899, nine years after his bestfriend/bro/pal/boyfriend/"history hates lovers" person was taken away to a reformatory or Azkaban. Only his memory stayed.

Like always, Ominis has a green strap for his wand (almost impossible to use Expelliarmus against him)

Why 1899? Because my main Era in the Wizarding World is the Summer of 1899 and you guys should know i have my parallels between Gaullow and Grindeldore.

Conjuring Affections

“Dearest Mother, My fifth year is off to a wonderous, yet busy start. My studies have kept me from writing to you, but I hope this letter will suffice for now. Every week is spent learning a new spell and I hope I can memorize and master them in time for our O.W.L.s at term’s end. I have absolutely zero business imagining Yule Ball designs since I’m not even remotely close to writing that chapter (which I would like to but we’re not even two chapters in) but also I have zero self control so here have them anyways.

Chapter 6 art for Voyagers of Time and Shadow! This is one of my favorites so far! Two worlds colliding with the golden trio meeting our two main characters.

Here’s an excerpt from the chapter 📚

“Hey Potter!” Sebastian calls to the trio of Gryffindor’s as they exit the Great Hall after breakfast. They were only a few steps ahead of them, the crimson shining on their robes colored ties in the sunlight from the windows. Evelyn watches Hermione glance over her shoulder at them before she stops walking.

Harry tenses but relaxes when he turns around and sees that it’s them. “Hello Sebastian,” he greets with a small smile.

This is the first time Evie is getting a good look at the famous boy who lived. They’ve shared a few classes but he’s kept his head down in every class other than Defense Against the Dark Arts that first day. He has untidy black hair and round glasses over his green eyes. He’s not as tall as Sebastian but he’s not short either. Evelyn can spy the edge of the lightning bolt shaped scar on his forehead but she doesn’t stare at it.

She knows what its like to be the odd one at school. Everyone knew she stopped Ranrok and treated her differently because of it. Not many had known about her ancient magic but she could not hide her injuries after the final battle and Headmaster Black then announced that she was a hero at the celebration. Evie wishes he wouldn't have so she could have pretended to be normal. She wishes she could have kept it all a secret.

“I wanted to introduce you to my girlfriend,” Sebastian slides his hand onto her shoulder and squeezes it lightly. “This is Evie.”

“Hi Evie, nice to meet you,” Harry greets her with a hesitant nod. He looks a bit like he’s expecting her to say something foul.

“It’s nice to meet you too,” she smiles at him, folding her hands in front of her politely. This boy has been through hell, something they both have in common. “I hope you don’t think Sebastian and I are like the others in our house…we can think for ourselves.”

Legacy x Marauders Era Headcanon

This is a random headcanon I had during one of my many play throughs of Hogwarts Legacy - there are no spoilers for the game, nor do I even really talk about the game play - I only speak of the concept of ancient magic and a keeper!reader!

So my thought is that the curse of lycanthropy is ancient magic, meaning that reader (who is a 'keeper' or a 'legacy witch', whatever you want to call them) knows of Remus' affliction upon meeting him

in the same way she is also aware that the large black dog and the random stag she sees around the castle grounds/forbidden forest every once in a while are animagi - because it is also ancient magic (this is just my own headcanon, don't think too hard on it)

my thought is that the animagi magic is 'pure' ancient magic, giving it a blueish hue (like the swirls of magic we see throughout the game), where as a malevolent curse with ancient magic is red (like the collar on the dragon/that the goblins wore). So upon first inspection, the magic covering Remus appears a purplish hue - my thought is that it's a cross between the ancient magic of an animagus (turning into an animal) plus the malevolent curse that was inflicted upon them

I sort of imagined that once the reader had a chance to look more closely (after getting to know remus/the boys) she can actually see the intricate threading of the two magics (red and blue) together, almost like the stitches of a cross-stitch, except it's all over him

I also played around with the idea of her trying to detangle the two strains of magic, removing the red (malevolent) magic from him (like the containers in the game) and leaving him only with the blue - now, his blue/ancient magic is lunar in nature, so I saw him still turning into a wolf once a month under the full, but it wasn't a painful endeavour, and instead of a large blood-thirsty animal, he just turns into a regular old wolf

“Oh, of course, safety always comes first at our centre,” the woman said joyfully. “That reminds me. Mr. Gaunt, I will have to take your wand, please.”

A weighted silence.

“I use my wand to…” He made a vague gesture with his hand.

“Ah,” she said. “I’m sorry, Mr. Gaunt. I’m afraid there’s really no way around it. But the room is just here and I’m sure Sebastian can show you around once you’re inside.”

He passed her the wand. When his fingers slipped off the handle, everything went truly, completely dark.

Ominis never really understood what people meant when they spoke of colours. It was ridiculous, the way they tried to describe them to him. How could red be hot if it couldn’t be touched? How could the water have no shade but the ocean be green and a river be blue? It sounded exhausting. Light — light, he could understand. He had always been able to locate its source in a room; it was a muted echo of the pain he could feel under his eyelids when he turned his face to the sun at midday. And then there were the shapes that his wand supplied, endless, blurring, always there, always limited by this edge or another, always finite. Without it, he was floating in an abyss.

“Are you ready?” Professor Hecat asked.

He wasn’t.

Anyways, here's one of my favorite parts of Chapter 2 of this fabulous fic that really has my whole existence.

Moreless tried to show how everything goes dark so sudden for Ominis, and sorry if I couldn't make him look older. I tried to use Freddy Carter as a reference, but well.
