Imagine meeting Rob Lucci again on Egghead Island

Warning: Contains spoilers! If you aren't caught up in the Egghead arc and don't want spoilers, don't read.

Rob: [tied up and unconscious on the floor of Vegapunk's lab]

You: [glaring at him from the other side of the room]

Stussy: Oh my, that's quite a scary look. It's almost like you know him.

You: I do know him, or at least I thought I did... A little over two years ago I lived on Water 7 where I worked for an engineering firm, and had a life, and a boyfriend.

Stussy: {looks shocked and points at Rob] Was he your boyfriend?

You: Yup, but I got transferred here shortly before he tried to kill Iceberg, who is my adoptive father. We used to exchange letters, and then one day they just stopped, and then three weeks later I got a letter from Iceberg that explained everything.

Stussy: That must have come as quite a shock.

Kaku: [wakes up] what the? [looks around, before cringing away when he notices you] oh dear.

You: [glares] Is that all you have to say to me?

Kaku: Listen, it was just a job, it wasn't personal.

You: Really? Because trying to murder members of my family feels really personal to me, buddy.

Kaku: [Nods to Robin] Technically, she shot Iceberg.

Robin: I shot him the first time, and I didn't feel I had another choice because you were threatening my friends and I didn't know what to do.

You: The second time was Blueno, and then you and Rob beat Paulie, and then left both Iceburg and Paulie tied up inside a burning building!

Kaku: we did do that, didn't we...

You: not to mention Rob played with my feelings by pretending to be a loving boyfriend.

Kaku: I swear that wasn't pretended Lucci really does love~

Rob: That's enough, Kaku.

You: You can talk! Why am I surprised, everything was a lie, wasn't it?

Rob: .... not everything [looks up at you, clearly pouting that he's being admonished]

You: I don't believe you.

Rob: ... can we discuss this in private, please?

You: no, we can't, I do not want to be alone with the World Noble's attack dog.

Rob: I'm a cat.

You: Excuse me?

Rob: [Takes a deep breath] They're not excuses, it's true I got close to you in the first place because of Iceberg, but I grew genuine feelings for you once I got to know you. I know I hurt you, it's why I stopped writing you after what happened in Water 7.

Nami: And because his ego was bruised because our captain whooped his ass.

Kaku: He was also in a coma for like a week afterward.

Rob: I figured by then you would have already had word from Water 7 of what happened, so I didn't want to rub salt into the wounds by trying to stay in your life, and that a clean cut was best for you.

You: [remembering that Iceberg had said he wouldn't be upset with you if you elected to stay with Rob] ... Where is Hattori?

Rob: what?

You: Where is Hattori?

Rob: He flew away when Stussy attacked.

You: I'll go get him...

Rob: [smirks[ thank you, I'm sure he'll be happy to see you again. Although he might not recognize you, you've glowed up since your Water 7 days. [winks]

You: [rolls your eyes] I know single life suits me, so save your smooth talk tough guy, it doesn't work on me [lying].

Rob: uh huh

You: [feels your cheeks heat up as your heart flutters, and you avoid eye contact with Lucci] Whatever, I'll go look for your bloody bird.

Rob: [eagerly watches the door slide shut behind you] It's still there

Stussy: What's still there?

Apologies for the messiness lmao- I've been a bit demotivated in the digital department, so I've been drawing in my sketchbook a lot. Honestly, it has been pretty fun, so I figured I could share these sketches (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠)

here's some punk diy tips and ideas

[other than crusty pants and battle jacket, although we still love those greatly.]

why should you diy, when you can just find decorated items everywhere, you can ask. what if you are clumsy at painting or anything?

firstly, good questions. we diy so we don't give credit to the big companies who rule the world. we diy to get more independent from the system we dislike. we diy so to save money. to express uniqueness, recognize eachother and be recognized. and especially to have fun and feel cool. diy is not only about clothing, but anything you can set your mind on. of course, one cannot make EVERYTHING for themselves, there isn't enough time and energy. but making at least small steps are already a statement and more than nothing. also, helping small artists by buying their products is also pretty punk.

that being said, i provide you with some tips of mine, all gained from experience:

anything you drew/painted on, you will WANT TO protect. acrylic paint/markers + acrylic paint varnish/transparent nail polish/textile medium are your best friends. read after anything that's new to you.

i highly recommend working with old clothing or thrift shop finds when it comes to textiles, as it is environmentally friendly and you will stay in budget. Anyways, always make sure that the material you use isn't gonna be problematic. for example, if you want to do some patchwork, the material shouldn't decay easily (if it does, it will come off so quickly.). if you want to paint on it, it shouldn't be rugged.

you can not only draw/paint on your canvas shoes, but can also sew, embroidery (just make sure to use a thimble, plus floss instead of thread could make your work more durable), and add beads and trinkets to your shoelaces. in the case of shoes, never use glue (neither hot nor instant glue) – it will come off quickly. for some inspiration, i'll show you my shoes!

(the fake moss is literally unstoppable from falling off or getting dirty. risky idea.)

it's good to carry around water and food!! you don't even have to pay for decorative water bottles and food boxes, as you can draw on glass and plastic just fine with acrylic markers. just don't forget to paint transparent nail polish all over your drawing. in at least two layers. don't be lazy or laid-back. even posca comes off while washing the dishes. and you WANT TO save your reference pictures/final designs, as the case of emergency is likely. but after all, my water bottle is exactly fine after six months, with no accuring problem.

if your current best option to get stickers from is aliexpress or overpriced decor stores, search for local artists and shops on instagram and tiktok, as it may be their most efficent way of getting you to know them. if it seems like you have no chance, you may can still find a print shop with the option of printing on self-adhesive sheets (at least in hungary, those are pretty cheap). and if you want drawings to print out as stickers, you may use your own or –ONLY IF YOU GET PERMISSION– other artist's work. not only good for decorations for like, headphones, but for vandalism too. WAIT WAIT who said that. who said it. not me. no never

(in case that's also impossible, you can create stickers by printing out/drawing a picture, cover it up in transparent adhesive tape, and then put some two-sided adhesive tape on the white side of the pic. it won't be that durable, but it functions.)

if you want to bleach-paint clothing, get some plastic brushes!! any other brush dissolves. draw your design first with chalk!! never forget to put cardboard inside the clothing, and to wash the finished work in a washing machine before you'd put it on. prepare to be patient with the process. and it's not dangerous to touch 5%-9% household bleach, just wash your hands soon after.

if you want your crusty pants to last veryyy long, wax them. look up on youtube jeans waxing.

some more things i made for myself so to give you some inspiration: totebag with pockets, a small crystal holder cabinet, badges, and i decorated some t-shirts, button-ups, an id card case, phonecase, laptop.

theoretically speaking, there is nothing that an individual would be unable to learn how to make, when it comes to diy. you can't imagine how easy it is to bake bread at home. consuming-focused media makes people believe that it's hard to make anything. of course, everyone has to decide about their own priorities, i don't want to convince or change anyone in here. and if you have any questions, send an ask!! i hope i had been helpful.

Kafka hears it before she sees it—the sharp crack of crumbling stone, the cut-off breath, the way wind swallows sound whole.

She turns her head just in time to watch Sara fall.

It is not an unceremonious thing. Even as the cliffside betrays her, she twists mid-air, reaching, calculating, the instincts of a soldier refusing to falter. The sea greets her with open arms.

The impact is a cruel one.

Kafka sighs through her nose.

She waits, listening to the ocean drag its prize beneath the surface. Waits for the struggle, the disturbance in the water, the inevitable clawing against fate. But there is no panicked thrashing.

Sara sinks.

... Ah.

Kafka tilts her head, watching ribbons of midnight hair dissolve into the deep.

Perhaps it is exhaustion. Perhaps it is acceptance. Or perhaps Kujou Sara, the storm-worshiping warrior of the Shogunate, does not expect to be saved.

Either way, it is a pity.

Kafka steps forward, the sea lapping at her boots, and lets herself be swallowed.

Water is a graveyard for sound. It steals breath, swallows movement, leaves only weight and silence behind. Kafka drifts through it like a dream, fingers slipping past the currents as she descends.

Sara is still conscious—barely. Her lashes flutter, her body limp but rigid, the last instinct of a soldier resisting the pull of death. Even now, she fights. Even now, she refuses to reach.

Kafka finds it almost endearing.

She reaches for her, fingertips grazing the sharp line of Sara’s jaw. Destiny had written this moment into its pages long before either of them ever set foot in this world. You will not let her die.

She leans in.

It is not desperation. Not an act of mercy, nor the clumsy, unrefined panic of someone trying to keep another alive. It is a kiss. Slow, unhurried, warm against the cold. A whisper of breath, coaxing life back into a body built for battle.

Sara twitches.

A spark returns to her, the last dregs of drowning burned away by recognition. Her fingers curl, her body tenses—alive, awake, aware of who is in front of her.

Kafka does not wait. She takes the Tengu by the waist and pulls her back to the surface.

I Made A... Patch-Hat?

all of the materials used were once t-shirts of mine that i no longer wear (plus some felt and makeup remover-cotton for the horns). the patches are painted with acrylic paint mixed with textile medium.

several of the patches don't really have deeper meanings. i wanted my hat to be rather silly than political (unlike my pants and jacket). however, the little circle with the two lines in the fron of the hat is the symbol of my girlfriend that i came up with, and the constellation on the side is the boötes, my very favourite since childhood. i also have my logo on the hat, plus of course, a semicolon.

the teeth i painted on are not random, they are the teeth of my dragonkin. i placed the horns and spikes where i usually feel my phantom ones.

anyways, i am so happy with how it turned out, it's colorful but menacing. i already got laughed at twice on the streets for wearing it, so i think i cooked.
