Gişe hasılatına gelince, Lilo & Stitch 2 dünya genelinde toplamda yaklaşık 80 milyon dolar kazanmıştır. Filmin başlarında Lilo ve stitch iyi geçinirler tam bir aile olmuşlardır atık. Aile film gecesinde Stitch tuhaf davranmaya başlar ama ne o nede diğerleri ne olduğunu anlamaz. Jumba sorunu anlar, yaratılış sırasında Stitch' in moleküllerinin tam şarj olmadığını hatırlar eğer düzeltilmezse Stitch' in tamamen bozulacağını ve düzeltilemez olacağını söyler Pleakleye. Sonra Lilo küçükken annesinin birinci olduğu hula dans yarışmasına katılmaya karar verir. Mörtıl ona annesi gibi annesi gibi olamayacağını ve asla kazanamayacağını söyler. Bunu duyunca Stitch Liloyu tutmayı bırakır ve Lilo Mörtıl' ı döverken Stitch de onların fotoğrafını çeker. Hula dansı için fikir ararken Elvis' in gittiği yerlere giderler. Gittikleri yerlerde Stitch istemeden de olsa kötülük yapmaya devam eder ve iyilik yüzdesi düşer. Lilo yapacağı dansın konusunu bulur, hiyaka dansını yapmaya karar verir. Lilo ve Stitch dans provalarını ve kostümleri yaptılar. Dans öğretmenlerinin önünde son provayı yaparken Stitch yine kötüye dönüşür ve her yeri dağıtır, öğretmen Liloya bir daha dans okulunda prova yapamayacağını söyler. Stitch iyilik seviyesini arttırmak için insanlara iyilik yapar ve seviyeyi Liloya gösterir. Lilo prova yaparken yüzdeyi buruşturup atar ve Stitch sinirlenir ve kavga ederler. Tam barıştıklarında Stitch tekrar kötüye dönüşür ve bütün kostümleri parçalar. Yarışma günü Stitch Lilo gösteriye çıkmadan önce onu kötüye dönüşüp yüzünü çizer ve ormana kaçar. Lilo tam dansını yaparken dansı bırakıp Stitch' in peşine düşer. Jumbayla karşılaşır ve ona her şeyi anlatır ve Stitch' i aramaya başlarlar. Stitch Jumba' nın gemisiyle uzaya gitmeye çalışırken Lilolar da onu arabayla takip eder. Stitch yine kötüye dönüşür ve dağın tepesine düşer, onu aramak için Lilo uçan küçük arabasına biner, Stitch' i bulur ve onu füzyon yuvasına koyar. Ama bir şey olmaz, Stitch hareket etmez ve lilo ağlamaya başlar. Sonra Stitch aniden uyanır. Herkes çok sevinir ve Liloyla beraber hiyaka dansını yaparlar.

Bu filmde ki aile bağlarını önemi beni her zaman çok etkilemiştir. Çünkü gerçekten de ailemizle olan bağlarımız anılarımız bizi biz yapan şeylerdir. Filmde ki şu nokta da gerçekten çok haklı bizim insanlara ihtiyacımız olabilir ama unutmamalıyız ki onlarında bize ihtiyaçları olabilir bunu hep hatırlamalıyız. Bu film serisini sevmemin asıl sebebi Lilo ve Stitch' in azda olsa beni yansıtmasıdır.

Spindle: Needless to say, the first thing that caught my eye when we landed on Miyajima was not the shrine, but the deer. They are old inhabitants of this place and maintain friendly relations with visiting ponies, even though the latter are in far greater numbers; they follow them, chat with them and run some of the shops. One such deer, Hiyaka, bumped into Parcly while the alicorn turned her head…

Hiyaka: Seeing her fine wings and the ring around her horn, I'd assume Parcly was into fashion, but her simple voice dispelled those myths. Our selection of food was her first attraction, whereupon I presented barbequed oysters and fishcakes shaped like the local plant (maple). Voracious as I knew her companion windigo was, she devoured them in one bite.

It was low tide when we arrived at the main torii, with many ponies and deer taking selfies and photographs for each other. On its six wooden legs a high-tide line was clear as a colour transition from painted orange to natural black. Small coins were scattered around those legs and some were picking them up wherever their hooves took them (we have cloven hooves and ponies have uncloven hooves). I don't know, is that OK?

Parcly: I don't think so, doe.

Hiyaka: Oh! I forgot to talk about the shrine itself, which requires an entry fee. It's pretty simple in structure, one long path from left to right with a pier, with souvenir shops and divination spots along the way. From its centre we could see the subtle channels that direct incoming water to specific places around the shrine, but we did not see any motive.

On our return trip, we passed by a giant wooden rice scoop, Miyajima's own invention, and had a glance at higher-altitude attractions that were less trodden. Parcly introduced me to Bramble, a prince from a herd of deer closer to her home in Canterlot, and I squished my cheeks.

Parcly: By the time we'd reached the pier, half of the sun was behind mountains while the other half's rays diffused through clouds. In the composite, warmth felt close and distant, fleeting and ever-present across multiple dimensions. I said goodbye to Hiyaka as she ran back to her herd, the return ferry starting up its engines.

Once on the mainland, I had early dinner at an unagi restaurant operating for over a century. Unagi and rice, that was all, but it tasted better than some "fusion" or "new-style" dishes around. The express train back to Hiroshima proper signalled the effective end of my day.

Hiyaka: The more creatures Parcly sensed around her, the less stable and graceful her gait became. Spindle's influence as the spirit of the snowy mountains was evident; I was told how Luna helped her overcome this stutter to an extent through solace in science. Overall, I found her a strange blend of personalities she didn't recognise as a whole, but whose individual aspects showed in different contexts – the complicated life of a princess.

Hiyaka Ouma, a normal idiot, a normal delinquent. There's not much to say. Dying her brown hair a deep red like Mahiru and saying, “Fuck you” to her teammates on the basketball courts. No one understood, why she had stopped going by “Hiyaka Ouma” and went by Stella Starberry, no longer the ultimate basketball player but the ultimate normal. Hiyaka didn’t have many friends, only staying with a tight nit group.

Still, with a father like Kokichi Ouma it wasn’t hard to figure out why Hiyaka was being so difficult. Talking with her fists. After all, she had such a dysfunctional family, no fucking wonder Hikari Naegi, the ultimate counselor, tried to talk to her.

“Ryouma, he’s decided to divorce Kokichi.” Hikari looked up from her computer, realizing that Stella was in her office, during lunch, which meant she wanted a counselor session. Though, it wasn’t unusual for Stella to call her parents by their first name the name Ryouma rarely came out during Stella’s rants about her family. Kokichi’s name was on another level though.

Hikari nodded, “I see, though you rare rant about Ryouma. Whats the problem?” Stella looked deep into Hikari’s mud brown eyes, “If they get divorced who will help out my brother for medical bills.”

“To be honest, I don’t think Ryouma is a heartless bastard to allow his own son to die.”

“Maybe not Ryouma but you couldn’t say the same about Kokichi.”

Hikari nodded, quickly typing things onto a blank document. “Are you really mad at them getting a divorce?” Stella shook her head, “Fuck I’m fucking HAPPY...”

“I don’t give a shit what they do. You out of all the people should no that.” And it was true, Stella never really came in here for much, just when things got really out of hand in her mind. It’s why she did that with everything in her power. Really the ultimate Counselor was just a fancier more marketable name for the ultimate listener.

“I just….” Stella started to tear up, “Hiro is too young, Hikari. How do I explain this to him?” Hiyaka placed her hand on Stella’s shoulder, “You can do it.”

“In the meantime however, I think you would do some good to talk with the Kuzuryuu’s, specifically Ahiru.” Stella nodded. Ahiru Kuzuryuu-Hinata was some what in her place. The heir to the Kuzuryuu clan and he also had three younger siblings from a different mother. Stella could see why Hikari wanted them to talk.

Stella did talk to him, not that it did much.

“Sometimes dads just fall out of love.”

“Sometimes two homes are better than one.”

“Some things you can’t tell your brother cause their still to young”

“Yeah, you’ll understand... when you love some one.”

“Sis..” croaked out Hiro Hoshi, the ultimate Lil’ brother, croaked out, turning to face the door with a smile. Hoshi. Ouma. It was like a plague now to the basketball player. A true warning to where they were headed. But, Hiro always looked so happy. But… There were still too many problems, problems too big.

The sakura blossoms seemed to laugh at her as they fell. Symbols of love whilst no one seemed to love her.  Valentines day had ended months ago, yet all that was on her kind was Kokichi’s big smile, Ryouma’s laughs and a chocolate box which she left for her brother. All that was truly on her mind? Was the love that would fade away. If this was love… she did not want it. ‘We’ll always love you, no matter what.’

“Sis,” Stella looked at Hiro, “I wish you were still the ultimate basketball player. I want to see you play again.” purple eyes fell into a trey of uneaten food, to cold to have been delivered recently. “Why aren't you eating?” Hiro’s eyes followed to the food and he took a spoonful of mashed patato and ate.

“Sometimes moms and dads fall out of love”

Parcly Taxel: Both the Canterlot pageant on the founding of Equestria and our distinctively Japanese dinner in a secluded corner of Osaka, on Hearth's Warming Eve, were pretty big things. However, on Hearth's Warming itself we were going to do something more, a day trip to Nara (奈良) in the outer Keihanshin.

Spindle: Just like with Seoul and Pyeongchang, Nara is considered as a faraway recreational town by the inhabitants of Osaka. With Pyeongchang the distance was literally the width of South Korea (~180 km), two full hours on a canter on icy roads with hypnotic suggestion. With Nara the spatial distance was much shorter (~50 km) and the problem lay more in transport options: the fastest route there was one hour via the private Kintetsu (近鉄) while JR's route was longer. Inside Nara, things were much worse.

Parcly: Such oddities that arose out of the post-war track-laying boom, but I would take them by the horns. Getting to the Kintetsu lines required riding the Loop to Tsuruhashi (鶴橋) first, five stops from Sakuranojima. What seemed to be an exit showed itself at platform level; when I put my ticket in it was rejected.

That was not an exit at all, only a transfer to JR's Nara Line. The actual exits were two levels below, where I bought the continuing Kintetsu tickets.

Spindle: As this second train approached Nara, our elevation increased until the sprawling Keihanshin radiated from Osaka Bay in shining grey, the boundaries between cities and towns lost under the skyline. It disppeared behind a hill, leaving the low-lying houses and flats characteristic of gentrification around us, some overrun by vines, others flaking off plaster and the remainder staying very still. Only isolated bunches of ponies proved these were not ghost towns we were passing through, though I admit I'd be excited to meet and communicate with the spirits of other species.

Parcly: A light chill breezed past my face when I exited the station. Two deer, one clearly a buck with his short antlers and one a doe, were standing nearby chatting away, but scurried off to the local park after noticing me. Most of Nara's population is in fact deer, so I wasn't surprised at all… until one minute later.

Hiyaka: I was at that exit with my brother Namaka – and she didn't recognise me. Cries of "a-li-corn! a-li-corn!" went around, the deer astounded at seeing such a majestic pony arrive. Once Parcly entered the park proper, the herd nuzzled her with their black noses and rubbed their coats on hers, enjoying the silky blue hairs the latter sported. She tried to sweep them away with her wings and give them flour crackers for appeasement, but these only allowed the cloven-hooved fans to reach further in.

When they tickled her belly, Parcly finally broke up in laughter, rolling on the soft earth as the deer's positions dictated. Later, Namaka and I followed her to Tōdai-ji (東大寺), part of Nara's own World Heritage Site system, the fourth visited in this trip so far.

Spindle: Before Kyoto was the capital of Japan, Nara was, though attesting structures have met a less favourable fate against time than Kyoto's. This temple alone has been burned down twice, shaken by earthquakes and ravaged by typhoons, costing much of its original splendour. For example, the current main hall is 30% narrower than the original, while a sōrin (相輪) is all that is left of two hundred-metre-high pagodas.

Yet equally immense sculptures are still resident inside, including the Vairocana/Daibutsu (大仏) centrepiece, the world's largest bronze statue of its kind at fifteen metres in height. I threw a coin and made a wish before continuing on the circle around the statue, along which were presented a history and reconstructions of the original structures.

Namaka: Why are we so common here? It is said that a brilliant white deer descended from heaven to protect the capital Heijō Palace (平城宮) near Nara. Since then, we have come to view ourselves as protectors of the city, roaming the streets and fields without restraint. The aforementioned palace, Tōdai and six other places form the Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara, the actual complex inscribed as World Heritage.

Parcly: I went up an incline for my lunch of tempura udon. On my way down through Nara Park, I passed by one of those other inscribed places, Kasuga-taisha (春日大社), which appeared to be closed for the day. Resupply trucks were on the scene, having used the smooth borders of staircases to get up, and I watched as two such trucks got down onto the main road. A very bumpy dozen seconds.

Namaka: All along, we brushed with deer of myriad sizes, fur colours and patterns (note that we are sika deer, Cervus nippon, so the last property is a bit hard to distinguish). Scenery isn't lacking either, the winding transverse paths covered with expansive swathes of grassland, dotted by trees revealing mountains beyond their empty branches, animated by refreshing streams and ponds.

Hiyaka: While the four of us strolled or floated down the elevation gradient, I threw a few questions at my new friend Parcly, one of which was the etymology of baka (馬鹿). I did not know the answer, only that the two characters signified the two species we were, pony and deer.

Parcly: So I related to Hiyaka this story from Mistmane's era: a deer general serving in the imperial court walked into the throne room, calling himself a pony. The sitting emperor then challenged other subjects in the room about the general's species; those who told the truth, saying he was a deer, were put on trial. Thus the Chinese idiom 指鹿为马 (deception via misrepresentation), which was borrowed into Japanese.

Hiyaka: When she finished, we decided to go baka ourselves, tickling each other with our muzzles or hooves in public view for a full half-hour. Eventually Parcly's thinner coat begged to stop, by which time we were closer to JR's Nara than Kintetsu's. I waved goodbye with my brother to her, the train pulling away towards central Osaka.
