bookish questions! 14, 21 & 22!
thanks for asking kalli! miss u <3
14. What's your favourite comfort book?
somewhat odd, but hilda boswell's treasury of children's stories- it has a great deal of unknown stories that soothe the soul.
21. Which fictional character would you go to for life advice?
listen everyone's gonna expect me to say some wise character like aslan or dumbledre or Gandalf but instead I will say, queen lucy the valiant. the queen who was the first to believe, who was kind (and i daresay even gentle, even though her sister claims the title) and who listens to any trouble, no matter how big or how small.
22. Quote that makes you laugh.
because it doesn't specify that the quote can't be from a fanfic, have:
(They all jab her with remarks of being the Gentle Queen every time, and she rolls her eyes as they recall their coronation, a time where Susan had quite literally paused in her curtsey as the Lion amusedly named her The Gentle.
“How does Aslan deem me gentle when Santa Claus himself gave me a bow?”
“Going out on a limb here, but I think Aslan ranks higher than Father Christmas.”)
-from queerlytired's to wage euphoria against justice
and also!
"The next slide is titled: 'Exploring your sexuality: Healthy, but does it have to be with the Prince of England?' She apologizes for not having time to come up with better titles. Alex actively wishes for the sweet release of death."

From the Treasury of Children’s Verses: Barnaby the Wood Mouse
Barnaby the wood mouse tiptoed
Over the busy main road.
He guessed that cars wouldn't pounce
If he tried hard not to announce
His tiny presence loudly,
So he swallowed his mouse-pride proudly,
Then moved, as was not in his nature,
Running counter to his stature,
Nor scurrying,
Nor hurrying.
A car revs; he has an inkling
That as a pup, a slight pink thing,
Sinuate as repand leaves,
He floated up to the barn's eaves
By a quite instinctive motion.
The car nears; he has a notion,
Like many adults do, it seems,
That he flew, not in his dreams,
But actually, up and down stairs,
Through gloomy desponds, grey despairs,
And with all the senses alert,
And the impulse in him to flirt
Back to his nest, to turn back
To those multiple mice in the grain-sack;
Thus his horripilating fur
Removes the futile silencer
From Barnaby's feet: he returns!
