Hifumi seems to have taken a picture of her without her facial makeup on, even stealing some fake eyelashes to try on, and an embarrassed Celeste is trying to them them back while cry-laughing in spite of herself, and Sayaka is laughing over the whole situation. Just as Makoto notes, they’re all having a good time together like regular high schoolers.

And while on that subject, lemme use this picture to say “fuck off” to anyone who denies Celeste’s capacity for bonding with her classmates solely based on her amnesiac, under pressure Killing Game self, especially if they don’t do the same with Byakuya and Toko just because they happen to live past the Killing Game and get to recover their memories. “Fuck off” to those who ignore this picture, School Mode, UTDP / USC, Danganronpa IF and Riichi City and deny she can sincerely be friends with others in spite of her selfishness, again especially if they don’t do the same with every other self-absorbed character of which this franchise has many. You cannot love and embrace Celeste’s villainy in the Killing Game if you aren’t also willing to love and embrace her non-villainy outside of it, and the positive feelings others have for her in addition to negative feelings.

Celestia Ludenberg (GODDAMN IT!) deserves more than a one-dimensional reading.
