TELL ME MORE ABOUT PEPPER AND CIDER AND ANRI!!! GIVE THEM TO ME!!!

omg I get to talk about some of my newest guys

First, here's some quick chibis of them, and then some of the rambling goes under the cut

So these three are 3/4 of the main characters of a newer story I'm working on - tentatively called "Night Sky Meeting" for now. Anri's partner in everything, a nonbinary lesbian named Heyah, is the last member of the main main cast. I have added them in bc I love them

They're all beings called "Deis" - genetically modified humans who are various stages of added dna, related to a giant fuck off tree, and cyborgs.

Pepper is a "Canis" type Deis, essentially meaning he's a werewolf. His more wolf features tend to appear in response to stress and he's an anxiety dog - as in a dog with anxiety - so he tends to have at least pointed ears. He's recently been "out of a job" aka kidnapped and renamed by Cider and is learning about how to be a person instead of a weapon, as he was typically used as a guard wolf and has killed many times before. He has Cole Dragon Age vibes when it comes to killing tbh.

Cider is a Cygnus Deis, which are sort of like artificial angels. Cider's own wings no longer exist though, as they tore them out of their back after a traumatic task and faked his own death. He's currently rediscovering the joy of living and not just surviving through watching Pepper... and maybe catching some gay ass feelings, who knows

Anri is also a Cygnus, though he's not faked his death. He actually went back to the company that employeed him and Cider after the "incident" and covered for Cider - because that's his brother! (Not biologically, but Anri has been insistent that they're twins since they were children...and also that Anri is the older twin.) He, along with Heyah, are currently trying to take down the company and others like it from the inside. He's also a bit of a manic pixie nightmare girl

AND THO THEY WEREN'T ASKED ABOUT, I CANNOT LEAVE OUT HEYAH

Heyah is a Serpens Deis, which are a more mechanical variety and can interface with most electronics (and also has some sick .... tentacles? think Doc Ock sorta) They're pretty laid back over all and whilst Anri is a manic pixie nightmare girl, they're the stereotypical tech guy, but with a jock personality.

i'm a twitter refugee atm so lemme give y'all another life update n__n

my hair is pink&black stripes now and i feel like an irl monster high doll! i'll probably keep it like this for a while it's so fun. also i'm temporarily in a management position at work as we start retail holiday season, it's tough but i still really enjoy it! i recently got an award for most passionate employee so i'm glad it's been noticed hahaha

and i also surprised my parents with a trip to europe! it was amazing, we went to amsterdam and italy and i got to see some of my most favorite art pieces of all time. i started having epiphany-like visions at the sistine chapel, and in the uffizi gallery i stood in front of venus and just wept and wept. it was so fulfilling. it was also amazing to take my father to the country of his ancestors- he's never been because he doesn't like to do kind things for himself so i knew i had to do it for him. he had such wonder on his face at every moment and i really treasured those once in a lifetime moments.

also i came to the realization i think i have adhd??? i really thought i was just like this, no explanation HAHAHA i'm trying to work through this revelation with meds & new therapeutic tactics and it's really tough but giving a name to the beast has helped so much.

and while not everything's perfect in my life, i do feel to a good extent fulfilled. i have an amazing group of friends in my coworkers and i'm getting to a place where i feel inspired to pick up art again. i feel valued and respected which i haven't fully had in a very long time, if ever. i recently looked back at my old instagram posts from college and i was honestly stunned at how bleak my life was, how unwell i was. i knew it was bad but not THAT bad!!!! so i'm extremely proud of where i am now.

this blog has always been my record of growth- and regression, LOTS of regression- and it feels special to mark the milestone of happiness in it. it's a pleasant surprise!

The plan was actually to roam a few bars and pickpocket any drunk party guests. This dive bar was a little too vacant for Sel's taste but could possibly be because of the lack of halloween related activities compared to other, more hip bars.

Ik herinner me Heyah Mama ook echt niet van tijdens de musical :o ofwel hebben we allebei een gat in ons geheugen, ofwel hebben ze dat inderdaad niet overal gedaan? Ik ben in Antwerpen geweest trouwens (18 mei)

Ik heb de TikTok opgezocht en er waren meer mensen die het niet hadden gezien + iemand waar ze Alle Kleuren hadden gedaan? Ik denk dat het waarschijnlijk is begonnen als een improv grap en dat ze het toen een paar keer hebben gedaan.
