Hebrews 4:14-16 (NIV). [14] āTherefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. [15] For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we areāyet he did not sin. [16] Let us then approach Godās throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.ā
āOur Great High Priestā By In Touch Ministries:
āOur compassionate Savior understands our weaknesses.ā
āHave you ever wondered why some people face hardships with confidence and boldness while others feel plagued by doubts and fear? Perhaps one reason for uncertainty is an inadequate view of who Jesus is. We know Heās our Lord and Savior, but how many of us know Him as our Great High Priest?
Hebrews 4:15 tells us, āFor we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin.ā (NASB) Jesus enters into our life and experiences our suffering, pain, and guilt right along with us. Have you ever been misunderstood when you did your best? Consider this: Was anybody more misunderstood than Jesus? He was personally acquainted with that kind of pain. Has somebody you loved ever said no, shut the door, and walked away? Jesus experienced this, too. His own people scorned Him. And does Jesus, the sinless One, understand our feelings of regret and shame? The Bible tells us that the Father laid all the sins of the world on Him. Jesus Christ bore the guilt of all mankind.
No matter what you are facing, realize that the Savior identifies with your circumstance, feels every single thing youāre experiencing, and will walk by your side.ā

Our Compassionate High Priest
14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us live our lives consistent with our confession of faith. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses. Instead, we have one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet he never sinned. 16 So let us keep on coming boldly to the throne of grace, so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. ā Hebrews 4:14-16 | International Standard Version (ISV) The International Standard Version of the Holy Bible Copyright Ā© 1995-2014 by ISV Foundation. You Just Might Be A Priest! Here's Why:
The priestly function is as old as the Bible, and we tend to think of a priest in sacramental terms (administering Mass, baptisms and such), or simply as āFather Stuā or āFather Timāā¦ But actually, the original notion of priesthood had nothing to do the Catholic church. The Biblical definition of priest is far more universal than any denominational function, and the application of that functionā¦

Life in Short Bursts
I am in that season of life when stamina is not what it once was. Strength is less than it once was. Muscle tone is a daily battle that, if not fought and won, daily, is lost easily with further diminishment of strength and stamina. So I am learning to live life in short bursts, and I am learning that it is amazing what can be accomplished in those bursts. I donāt know who said it. I canātā¦

Abortion is Murder & Unbiblical
The Bible does not use the word abortion. How could it? The term itself as a procedure wasn't invented yet! However, the Bible does cover:Ā
Humanity's inherent value and rights as (uniquely among creation) made in the image of God
Murder
Child/infant murderĀ as something abhorrent to God
Life's beginnings, indirectly (although that also has biological support)Ā
Legal ramifications of killing a child in the wombĀ
How God sees and interacts with children in the wombĀ
How we as His followers are meant to treat childrenĀ
What He expects us to do for the defenseless and vulnerable (i.e., the most defenseless and vulnerable human imaginable is the one in the womb)Ā
And how the question of following Him and His Word is what makes or breaks the difference between a Christian and someone who claims the name but is tragically unsavedĀ Below are some verses and some additional explication (partial credit: @glowsticks-and-jesus) Ā
Proverbs 31:8Ā
Luke 1:44Ā
2nd Kings 17:17Ā
Jeremiah 19:5Ā
Genesis 9:6Ā
Exodus 21:22-25Ā
Matthew 7:20 - 23Ā
John 15:14Ā
1st John 1:5-10, 2:3-6Ā
Exodus 20:13Ā
Mark 10:13-15 Leviticus 20:3-5 (https://biblehub.com/hebrew/mizzaro_2233.htm)Ā
Matthew 18:10, 14
Psalm 22:10
Jacob & Esau, John the Baptist, Samson, etc.Ā
Judges 16:17Ā Glowsticks-and-Jesus Collection:
"Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 'Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.'"Jeremiah 1:4-5
"The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name."Isaiah 49:1
John the Baptist leaped in Elizabethās womb when Mary greeted her cousin (Luke 1:39-45), an example that babies in utero are responsive human beings already aware of the outside world.
The righteous Hebrew midwives at the time of Moses pleased God by saving babies deemed unworthy of life by the authorities of their day (Ex. 1:15-21).
Ā As an additional note -- these references are included above, but worth a second mention -- it's plain that child sacrifice - child murder - is something that God abhors and explicitly does not command. I'd look here (https://biblehub.com/jeremiah/19-5.htm) and here (https://biblehub.com/2_kings/17-17.htm) and check out the cross-references as well. Likewise, there is direct support for laws against murder and the protection of the unborn (up to capital punishment) in the Bible (Genesis 9:6; Exodus 21:22-25Ā -- an additional reference here included about the common misunderstanding of the latter verses: https://www.str.org/w/what-exodus-21-22-says-about-abortion).
In summary -- it's possible (although, I believe, it does deprive its proponents of a foundational basis for the value of life) to be both secular and anti-abortion. But it is not possible for a Christian who truly understands their faith, their God, and His Word to be pro-abortion.

Matthew 10:7
As you go, preach, saying: āThe Kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.
Note the time the Devil showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world (Luke 4:5) "in an instant of time" saying that the world has been given over to him and he could give it to whomever he chose, and the Devil chose Christ. The Devil said to Christ, "I will give you all this authority and their glory" (Luke 4:5-8).
Who is the ruler of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4), is it not the Devil (Revelation 12:9)? And what are the inhabitants of the earth saying? Are they not saying that Jesus is God, giving Jesus all his authority and their glory? The Devil wanted Jesus to do an act of worship before him by means of the Devil's image of the heavens (Isaiah 14: 12-14) and earth by giving breath of life to it by means of the fruit of his lips (Hebrews 13:15). But note how Jesus replied when being tempted by the Tempter (Matthew 4:1), "Then Jesus said to him: 'Go away, Satan! For it is written: 'It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service' (Matthew 4:10)." Because it was God at the beginning who created the heavens and earth and said let there be light through His Spirit (Genesis 1: 1-3).
Read one Bible verse or read them all! šš
1 John 2:16
because everything in the worldāthe desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of oneās means of lifeādoes not originate with the Father, but originates with the world
Isaiah 29:13
Jehovah says: āThis people approach me with their mouth And they honor me with their lips, But their heart is far removed from me; And their fear of me is based on commands of men that they have been taught.
1 Thessalonians 3:5
is why, when I could bear it no longer, I sent to learn of your faithfulness, in case somehow the Tempter might have tempted you, and our labor might have turned out to be in vain.
2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps disguising himself as an angel of light.
Revelation 12:12
On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has a short period of time.ā
2 Corinthians 11:3
But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent seduced Eve by its cunning, your minds might be corrupted away from the sincerity and the chastity that are due the Christ.
Revelation 13:13
And it performs great signs, even making fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the sight of mankind.
Luke 10:18
At that he said to them: āI see Satan already fallen like lightning from heaven.

the Lord Jesus is coming quickly!
"For the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
Jesus, the Son of God, gave His life and shed His blood for the payment of your sins. by acknowledging your sinful nature, and trusting in Him as the only means of salvation, you're included in this event! For Jesus promised in John 14:2-3, "There are many rooms in My Father's house (..) I go to prepare a place for you (..) When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so you will always be with Me where I am."
God poured out His wrath for our sins onto Jesus' body on the cross; once and for all time (Hebrews 9:28). Therefore we the Church, as the Body of Christ, cannot be here to experience God's Wrath again (1 Thessalonians 5:9). the Tribulation that is coming is the time of God's Wrath; a testing period for those still covered by their sin (Isaiah 26:20-21). but He promised He would take His followers out of the way before it comes (Revelation 3:10). we will be taken to the safe places He has prepared for us.
the time is much sooner that you think! please turn to the Lord while there is still time, He loves you and has done EVERYTHING necessary to provide salvation for you. the Tribulation will be the worst time in human history, and God desires that no one go through it. listen to the still, small Voice that is calling you to repentance. He is calling you home!

Access to the Throne: How to Talk to the Almighty God
Men have sought God throughout history. They have built temples, gone on pilgrimages, and asked for signs. The Bible provides a detailed record of that quest for access to the Almighty, and it discloses a God who is far above his creation. It was a given that the Creator of all things would be majestic and powerful, and people in the Bible approached their Creator with fear and trepidation.ā¦

The blood of Jesus has power and life.Ā
ā¢ The blood of Jesus redeems us.Ā
In Christ we have redemption through His blood (Eph. 1:7), We were once under the rule of the devil,Ā and it took Jesusā blood to provide redemption.Ā Only one thing could redeem sinful humanity so that we might live forever- the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
ā¢ Washes our sin and cleanses our consciences. (Hebrews 9:14)
Ā "the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." 1John 1:7
ā¢ The blood of Jesus brought peace to us, but with a price ā (Col. 1:20).
ā¢ We gain access to the presence of God. Hebrews 4:16
