Gundam Requiem for Vengeance then. I donât really have anything to say on the new trailer other than it reminds me of a trailer I once saw for Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children.
However, given that I did a post on the Gundams in the one year war last time, I figured Iâd go over the Full Armour units that I skimmed over this time around.
First up, the PF-78-1 Perfect Gundam. Now I usually try to use fairly neutral pieces of art for these, so they best illustrate the mobile suit in general, but this thingâŚâŚ well.
Itâs a bit of an odd one. First originating in the 1982 Manga Plamo-Kyoshiro, it was built by Shiro Kyoda (the kid in the bottom left of the above picture). Note how I said built. This manga is essentially the earliest permutation of what would eventually become the build series, where the focus is shifted from War to Modelling. Now normally this is where Iâd earmark it as a build kit, except that itâs canon to the Universal Century as well. It was apparently a planned upgrade plan for the original Gundam, but was never built, with its data being carried into the Full Armour Gundam, being canonised in MSV. Its armaments are much the same as the original, only adding a built-in 2-barrel beam gun to the arm, four drop mines to the shield and a Shoulder Cannon to the backpack. The shoulder cannon is notable because itâs nature is different in each work - itâs a high pressure water gun in Plamo-Kyoshiro, a 360mm Rocket Gun in MSV, and a high-output beam cannon in Build Fighters.
I admit I was looking forward to talking about the Full Armour Gundam here, but its position in canon is just difficult. Officially, it was never built and existed only as simulation data, because the excess armour and weaponry would have slowed it down too much. Unofficially, it shows up damn everywhere, typically as a foe of either Johnny Ridden or the Perfect Zeong. Iâm going to call out two examples here and then move on, primarily because they actually name pilots of the thing. In the videogame Spirits of Zeon: Dual Stars of Carnage, a blue Full Armour Gundam is piloted by Earth Federation Fighter Ace Takashi Kitamoto during the Battle of Solomon. Meanwhile in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam MSV Battle Chronicle Johnny Ridden, a Full Armour Gundam is piloted by Heinz Baer against Johnny Riddenâs Full Bullet Zaku (honestly I mention this because I absolutely love Heinz Baerâs character design, shown below). Armament wise, the Full Armour Gundam retains the Vulcan Guns and Beam sabers of the original Gundam, but carries a twin beam rifle as opposed to the originalâs single-barrelled model. In addition, it gains a 360mm Rocket Cannon on its back and four missile bays, built into the knees and clavicles. As a design, I really like the thing, but Iâm unsure why. Maybe itâs the simplicity of it being an up-armed and armoured version of the original Gundam, or maybe itâs that thereâs some really nice art of it, particularly itâs Debut in Mobile Suit Variation (MSV).
Câmon, Look at this guy. A flying ace who wears a sweater under his pilot suit.
Next up, the FA-78[G] Full Armour Gundam Ground Operations Type, originating in MSV-R. Nice and simple, now. Itâs essentially a Full Armour Variant thatâs designed for ground combat, using the RX-78-1 Prototype Gundam as a base. It was designed, but never built (whether due to costs, practicality or the lack of the RX-78-1). Design-wise, yeah, itâs nice. Critical areas are up-armoured, and some new weapons added, but it still looks fairly agile, and the Prototype Gundam features make it stand out a little more. Itâs armed with Vulcans, Two Beam Sabers on the left arm, a twin beam rifle on the right arm, a 360mm Rocket Cannon on the backpack and a missile launcher. Not much more on this one, itâs just neat.
The FA-78-1B Full Armour Gundam (Type B). Oh, I love this thing. Also originating from MSV-R, it was developed from the G-3 Gundam, rounding out the three full armour units. It was designed primarily for anti-fleet combat, with the assumption that it would be piloted by a Newtype. MSV-R keeps things vague on the details, but given that it seems to have been developed in response to The Battle of a Baoa Qu, the general theme of Full Armour Units and that it was intended to be used with a Newtype Pilot (which the Federation really didnât have a lot of), it feels a safe bet to say that it was probably never built (honestly, Zeon went big on Newtype research and even they only had about five combat-ready examples). Armament wise, the Full Armour Type B is rocking Vulcan guns, a 360mm Rocket Launcher, a Triple Beam Rifle, upgraded missile launchers in the knees and clavicles, two beam sabers mounted on the left arm and a large missile launcher on the back, which is loaded with two large anti-ship missiles on the front and twenty along the back of the launcher, designed to counter any anti-beam defences employed by its victi- targets. Employed by its targets. Design-wise, gorgeous, I love the patterns on its armour and the simplistic colour palette of blue, grey and golden-yellow for the details is just wonderful. Itâs heavyset yes, but it doesnât feel excessive since itâs designed for anti-fleet work in space. The box-style beam saber adds to this, since it gives the idea of a quick weapon primarily to block attacks, as opposed to its primary armament. Iâm not typically a fan of the G-3, but the Full Armour Type B blends its aesthetic so wonderfully.
Next up, the FA-78-2 Heavy Gundam. Another simple one. Three-Four units built postwar, with at least one of them being piloted by one Den Berserk. Apparently one unit was lost during atmospheric entry tests. Essentially a second go-around at the full armour Gundam concept, only a brand new mobile suit as opposed to an add-on. It is armed with: A shoulder mounted Beam Cannon, a singular beam saber, a frame launcher (essentially a composite weapon combining a Gatling gun with a 4-tube missile launcher) and an optional Beam Rifle. Again, just a lovely design, really liking the added bulk on the chest and the visor emphasises its ranged speciality.
The second unit (right) is equipped identically to the regular Heavy Gundam and appears in the Manga MSV-R: the return of Johnny Ridden, where itâs repainted and piloted by Ingrid 0. Due to the series being set in U.C. 90, Unit 2 is somewhat upgraded when compared to the original, being equipped with a bio-sensor for use by newtypes and a set of Dummy Launchers not dissimilar to those found on suits around the time of Charâs Counterattack. These were pretty clearly later additions, however. It was also equipped with a bazooka, patterned off the original Hyper Bazooka used by Gundam units in the One Year War. EDIT: Iâd like to note that we donât know which unit was lost during atmospheric entry tests, so itâs possible that the âlostâ unit was Unit 2, so it could be employed âoff the booksâ, as it were.
The RX-78SP Gunner Gundam was designed shortly after the end of the One Year War, during a review of captured Zeon materials. Itâs essentially a sniper Gundam, featuring an improved sensor pod and specialised beam rifle in addition to the standard Gundam armament of Vulcans and beam sabers. I say designed because it was never built, development began and a mock-up unit was built from a GM, but it was deemed that the G06 Mudrock Gundam was able to perform the same role. A Full Armour variant appears in the Shin Matsunaga Manga however (MSV-R: Legend of the Universal Century Heroes: Rainbowâs Shin Matsunaga).

HGBD:R 1/144 P-Bandai Planets System PFF-X7 "Core Gundam" [Real Type Colour] + Planets System Armour Unit PFF-X7/M4 "Marsfour Gundam" (Dive Into Dimension Clear)
This is the second of three core-system gunpla I've bought over the past few months. I was looking for a Marsfour to go along with my Earthree, and found this one pretty nicely discounted instead. While I don't usually go for clear kits, especially when the white is this sort of milky translucent clear instead of true clear, the cool sparkles within the plastic sold it for me.
The kit contains both a recolor of the Core Gundam, in the "Real Type Colour", resembling Tomino's initial RX-78-2 palette, as well as the base parts for the Marsfour. Disappointingly, despite being a P-Bandai version of the kit, the weapons were not included.
Just as with the Earthree's core gundam, this little unit is nicely articulated. It comes with a small beam spray gun and the core gundam's half-shield.
The shield nicely shows off the new weathering technique I've been trying out. This combines a heavy drybrushing of dark. gunmetal, a top pass of light silver (Citadel Necron compound works really nicely for this), and some Tamiya gunmetal pigment powder to catch the high edges (Weathering Kit C). I think I really managed to bring out the edges and portray a distressed look, as well as enhance the contrast and bring out a lot of the smaller details.
Again, like the previous kit, there are two small beam saber effects for the core gundam, this time in a really nice super clear trans-yellow.
The yellow effects work nicely with the gold foil stickers for the eyes and auxiliary sensors.
Like the Earthree Gundam, the Marsfour parts build into a support plane. A lot of the parts are nearly identical to the Earthree, with similar forearms, skirt, and leg design, but with an overall spikier design aesthetic.
Forming the full Gundam works just as I outlined in my Earthree review, and the final form looks just as impressive.
Unfortunately unlike the Earthree there's no shield upgrade or gun extension, and the backpack lacks the cool wings from the Earthree as well. Instead, the gimmick of the Marsfour armour is the two flip-out claw/shields attached to the forearms. Thankfully the core-sized beam spray gun still looks ok on the full Marsfour. Again, like Earthree, there are a pair of longer beam effects to use alongside the bigger armoured-up gundam.
As both kits utilize the "Core" system, you can mix and match pieces from Earthree and Marsfour together. I really like this concept, as it lets you customize a final form with your favorite colours and gimmicks. If cash wasn't a concern I'd definitely try and collect as many of the other kits as possible to mix and match.
The Marsfour/Earthree combo still looks really nice, however.
Overall I had fun with this kit. Cleanup is a little more difficult with a clear kit, as is panel lining. It turned out a lot messier than I would've liked, and it was hard to see where all the grooves were. I probably won't bother with any future clear kits. It was also difficult to hide or sand away the nub marks.
Overall, while I'm upset at how these kits are priced, and sold independent of their weapon upgrades, I still really enjoy the concept. I have one more core-system kit to show off for now, which should show up in the next couple of months. I really think it's worth trying at least one of this type of kit, if you enjoy HGs.
Interested to hear other modeler's experiences with clear kits.

Another late post because time management is for losers. So Xi Gundam mechanical design part 2 or the Legs.
These are heavy heavy legs, which by all means and purposes are oversized landing gear that the Xi specifically doesn't need. The front and side skirts are just additional bits of armor with the front skirts still managing to be covered by the Minovsky Flight attachments on the chest, the back skirt however features the Xi's Funnel Missiles, housed in the bottom of the skirt this is the Xi's only Newtype weaponry, but more on that later. Further down the thighs which are the Xi's most simplistic part, there's nothing much going on with them, they're essentially just frame parts covered in 2 white armor pieces. The knees themselves are also pretty bland, being fully exposed frame with with only the axle covered from both side, however what's more interesting about them is that it utilizes the missile spike as a knee pad and that it uses the side booster/Minovsky Flight attachment as additional armor. Now onto the Calves, and these have just so much going on, from the Flight attachments, the additional stabilizer wings, the exposed frame on the back holding the booster, the missile spike itself, the 4 side boosters and the inlaying heat sink attachment. The calves are so over designed when compared to the thighs, or even most other parts of the suit they have so much going on, they hold 6 different boosters when even the main core had 2, back boosters, all this while it also holds more Flight attachments, the only thing as visually busy as the calves is the core itself due to it being dominated by the cockpit cover and the Flight unit. The Feet in comparison are 2 parts the exposed Frame and the sole, the exposed frame is just that, a solid block of grey while the sole has some bronze on it and another 2 stabilizer wings which come in play much more whenever the suit goes into Flight mode.
The legs are the busiest part of the mobile suit but ultimately they will be overshadowed by the oversized arms due to their sheer size.
So yeah that's the main body of the Xi fully gone through, P3 will the weapons and flight mode Tmrw tho Char and Hathaway, the day after Xi Gundam mechanical design P3
P1 under cut

White Wolf (A Gunpla verse drabble)
"So who's our target for this mission?" "Some wannabe 'game center crusher'." "Just one player? Either he's really good or we're going overkill for this one. I mean, one against four? That's not very fair odds." "You know better than to count on a straight numbers advantage. They've been callin' this guy the 'White Wolf'." "White Wolf? What kinda name isâ" "Hey, I think I've been hearin' about him, actually. They say he uses a barely customized Barbatos, but he's able to wipe the floor with players in the double digits at a time." "That's an impressive count... But there's no need to get freaked out over a numbers game." "Heh heh, yeah. They were all probably a buncha rookies anyway. Gunpla Battle keeps pullin' in all the greenhorns lately." "Like I said, don't let your guard down. Overconfidence is one of the biggest killers on the battlefield." "Don't go sounding too much like some grizzled war dog, now."
"Nero Squad, cut the chatter. We're approaching the operating area now."
Amid the darkness of the dense, virtual jungle, four encroaching lights dot the simulated nighttime sky â the fiery exhaust of mobile suit thrusters.
"Nero 4, taking overwatch."
A single light breaks formation and dips down to an overlooking cliffside. It's an excellent vantage point and, judging by the build of the Gunpla's user â a pitch-black, customized GM Sniper II â well suited to providing reconnaissance and sniper fire.
"Nero 2, Nero 3, you're with me."
"Hard copy, Nero 1." "Roger."
The remaining three silhouettes begin to drop to the ground below, their machines promptly sinking beneath the tree tops of the jungle and settling on the earth below. Despite the variety in their chosen Gunpla â a Zaku High Mobility Surface Type with a fin antenna adorning its head, clearly designating the unit as "Nero 1" of the group, an RF Kampfer, and a Gundam Ez8 Heavy Armed Custom â "Nero Squad" is aptly named for the black color scheme each of their suits have been painted in. What's more, each unit's cameras were specifically colored a deep red, thus adding further to the "low visibility" aesthetic of their customizations. This ragtag band of Gunpla Battlers had clearly made themselves into a well-disciplined fighting force and the ambiance of the current stage gave them every advantage in the world.
"Nero 2, you're on point. Nero 3, you're in charge of our six in case something happens to Nero 4." "Oh come on, Nero 1. When has your eye in the sky ever let you down? Everyone's data link is working, right?" "Affirmative, Nero 4, but it never hurts to be cautious." "This guy ought to be like shooting fish in a barrel. White sticks out like a sore thumb in the dark, you know." "Stay frosty and keep your eyes peeled. All of you. Nero 1, out."
The Kampfer â "Nero 2" â moves ahead of the Zaku and Ez8, brandishing its shotgun at the ready as it leads its team further into the jungle. Both of the monoeyes on the Zaku and Kampfer stay scanning their immediate surroundings while the Ez8 likewise keeps its head on a swivel. So far, so good. Nothing out of the ordinary... Although that creates a slowly building sense of tension among the squad seeing that nothing is happening whatsoever.
Is their prey keeping himself hidden? For what purpose?
"...You don't think he fled, right?" "No. If he pulled his registration, the Plavsky particle generator would've disengaged. Our guy is definitely here somewhere." "How in the world haven't we found him yet? I know it's a pretty dense jungle, but there's no way he can hide that well..." "It's only a matter of time. He'll reveal himself soon enough. He has to."
A dull thud reverberates through the quiet jungle canopy and the three-man squad suddenly freezes in place. Their eyes turn to their radars, their system instruments. Nothing pings to life on any of their detection equipment.
âWhat wasââ
âThis is Nero 4! I think I saw a muzzle flash somewhere in the jungle, but I couldnât pin down the location! Whatâsâ A 300mm round?!â
The GM Sniper rears back from the approaching projectile upon identifying its make and trajectory, the pilot inadvertently raising the rifle to defend itself and destroying its long-range weapon in the process. As the three squadmates on the ground scramble to try and find their prey, they notice a rush of movement too fast to track at their flank. It doesnât even present a signal on their radars, though instinct still prompts them to train their attention in the direction of the movement.
However, before they can properly surround and encircle their enemy, it suddenly shoots upwards from the jungle floor, boosting its way upward to intercept the hapless âNero 4â upon the clifftop.
âI-Is thatâŚ?!â âItâs him⌠The White WolfâŚ!â
With nothing more than a clearing night sky and the artificial moonlight illuminating its frame, a Barbatos 4th form build seems to hover in the air above the GM Sniper II. Its body is adorned with an anti-beam coat mantle, swaying against the simulated wind, and a Gerbera Straight katana attached to its hip. In each hand, the Barbatos wields the Shiranui and Unryu enhanced sabers.
âJust two swordsâŚ? Then Iâllâ!â
The GM Sniper deploys its beam sabers in each hand, ready to intercept should the Barbatos approach, but instead it crosses its enhanced sabers together. Plavsky particles visibly gather within the blades, as though charging them with some nascent form of energy, and then, it swings in a flurry of motion. With each slice of the blades through the air, a curving purple âslashâ of energy shoots towards the unsuspecting GM Sniper, tearing into its frame.
âWh-What the hell isâ?! Aaaahh!!â
âNero 4â is promptly eviscerated by the tempest of attacks, the mobile suit collapsing in a burning heap under its own weight now that itâs lost all structural integrity before exploding.
âWhatâs wrong? Nero 4, come in! Do you read me? Report your status!â â...Donât bother, team leader. The White Wolfâs already sank its fangs into our buddy.â âNgh⌠Get ready to ambush him as he lands! Weâll make him pay for taking down our comrade!â
The Kampfer of the group continues remaining close to the rear, adjusting its positioning in preparation for an ambush, while the Ez8 adjusts to a more advantageous firing position. Without hesitation, it rips open with a hailstorm of all of its armaments, the 100mm machine gun, vulcan cannons on its head piece, and the two Salamis-class cannons all spitting their firepower at full bore while its pilot unleashes a beastly roar, attempting to gun down the falling Barbatos custom. Each weapon firing at once creates recoil, causing the pilot to struggle a bit with aim corrections, but some shots do seem to impact the intended target⌠And to little effect, with the shots mostly bouncing off of the Barbatosâ ABC mantle.
âIt deflects bullets?! It should only be resistant against beams!â âDonât panic and hold your fire! Youâre just wasting ammo at this point.â âThat builder really knows his stuff, being able to reinforce even an ABC mantleâŚâ
âWeâll see how well he stands up to a more direct attack.â
No sooner does the Barbatos land upon the ground does the Kampfer charge right in, raising its right arm as it boosts forward and firing off the three missiles from its arm-mounted pod and promptly purging the now emptied pod from its hard point. Its mechanical arms swing around then to start popping shots off with increasing closeness to the Barbatos. The so-called âWhite Wolfâ, however, promptly leaps with a boost dash away from the trajectory of the missiles, although the resulting explosion as well as the shotgunâs blasts drive the Gunpla in an easily predictable direction. This seems to be exactly what the Kampfer pilot was counting on as he raises the left arm and, from two protruding points built into the arm itself, a pair of mechanical, tentacle-like wires shoot out and sink themselves into the Barbatosâ arm.
âHa! Iâve got him by the short hairs now!â
A visible, electrical current runs from the wires and envelops the entirety of the Barbatosâ frame. The Gunpla seems to twitch and jitter against its will before going still, the green glow of its eye cameras flickering for a moment. Without wasting a beat, the Kampfer follows it up with a blast from its shotgun at near point-blank range, creating visible damage upon the Barbatosâ body and head, the glow of its âeyesâ dimming to darkness as it lurched backwards and appeared to slump.
âSee? Heâs no big deal. The âWhite Wolfâ mustâve just been dealing with a bunch of newbies up until now. What a shame for him that his luck finally ran out⌠Huh?â
Thereâs a brief glint before its eyes flash back to life, the former green now replaced with an angry, red glow. Its body shudders for just a moment before slowly raising and correcting its posture where it stood.
âN-No way! Itâs still functional?! I thoughtââ
Barbatos wastes no time swinging its uncaptured sword arm and severing the mechanical wires keeping it bound in place by the Kampfer.
âBut heâs wounded! One more shot and heâll definitely fall!â
So the Kampfer pilot thinks, but the Barbatos rushes in and slices with its two blades â first, at the arm containing the triple heat wires, inflicting good cuts that cause a small explosion upon the arm itself as the blows promptly destroy the heat wire launchers built into the arm.
âDamn it, he got my arm! But heâs still⌠What the?!â
Visible, glowing, Plavsky particles seem to flow from the damage arm and accumulate onto the Barbatosâ body, enveloping the damaged areas with a virtual, blue glow and obscuring them from sight briefly, although once the visual effect begins to fade, the damage inflicted upon it appears to be entirely gone with the Gunpla completely returned to its original, pristine state.
âHow in the hell is that possible?! He must be cheating!â âNo, he just understands the system better than you do. Repair on hit⌠Thatâs an advanced builderâs technique.â
âRrrgh! I wonât let him get away with this!â âNero 2, what are you doing? Keep a level head!â
The Kampfer refuses to heed the instruction of its superior and shifts its stance as best as it can to angle the two storm faust launchers mounted to its legs before proceeding to fire the rockets in the Barbatosâ direction. Itâs no trouble at all for the Gunpla to avoid being hit as the rockets trail in a wild arc, completely missing their mark, and the resulting detonation causes a chain reaction that quickly sets the nearby jungle awash in a raging blaze, obscuring the vision of both the Ez8 and the Zaku.
âDamn you! Iâll put you down, White Wolf!â
âNero 2â once again roars with battle fury as the INCOM units on its back detach and begin flying by wire attempting to fire upon the Barbatos. However, the nimble Gunpla practically dances around each shot before closing the gap separating it from its prey.
The team status designator for âNero 2â upon the surviving team membersâ HUDs turns red as the word âLOSTâ replaces its health indicator.
âDamn⌠Nero 2 lost.â âNo way⌠What happened to the White Wolf anyway?! The flames are too thick, I-I canât make anything out in this wildfire!â âNero 3, calm down and fall back. Weâll regroup andââ âOh⌠Oh no! Heâs here! The White Wolf is already here!â âWhat? Nero 3, report!â âI-Itâs no good! I canât hit him with anything! H-Heâs too fast! How is that even possibleâŚ?!â âNero 3!â
âNero 1â, pilot of the Zaku High Mobility type, confirms the Ez8âs last known position on his radar and proceeds to move in, hoping to intercept and save his last remaining ally before the worst could come to pass. His comms are filled with desperate, frightened screams, and he can hear its storm of gunfire ringing out from a distance, growing louder as he drew closer and closer, until suddenly, with an abrupt silenceâ
<< NERO 3 â LOST >>
No sooner does the confirmation appear that the Zaku manages to clear through the burning shrubbery, only to find the White Wolf standing there, its back turned and painting a menacing silhouette, as the frame of the Ez8 stands motionless in front of the Gunpla, the twin blades piercing its cockpit. The Barbatos glances behind itself, the now blood-red glow of its eyes glinting, as it seems to acknowledge the approach of its newest foe, and then briefly turns its attention back to the motionless Ez8. With a twist of each blade, it pulls its swords free from the inert Gunpla, which then falls to the ground before erupting in an explosion to cement its own destruction.
And then both Gunpla face one another, their respective presences creating a rather picturesque landscape painted against the blaze raging all around them.
âWhite WolfâŚâ Nero 1 utters in a low growl, tossing aside its machine gun in silent acknowledgement that the armament would do it no good. Instead, it opts to reach behind and draw the elongated heat saber from its dock upon its thruster backpack. The metal rod soon alights with orange heat, matching the intensity of the flames serving as their backdrop â lending clearly to the weaponâs namesake.
â...Itâs hard to believe thereâs an actual player at the controls for that thing. Itâs rare to see a battler with such skill and ferocity, especially in a game center.â
The Zaku takes up a ready stance with its heat saber, leaning its weight forward, as the Barbatos slowly approaches. A moment of silent intensity passes between both Gunpla and pilots, as though each one is sizing up the other.
And within that moment, Nero 1 finds himself wondering whether heâs truly battling a demon. The White Wolf regards him with no verbal response, but neither is there anything lifeless or artificial about its presence â unlike an AI. No, there was certain intent behind movement, an almost killer instinct rarely seen among Gunpla battlers.
For the first time in Nero 1âs long battling career, he felt not as though he were the hunter, but the hunted.
One breath, one adjustment in the Barbatosâ approach, was all that it took to signal the resumption of their battle. It was the first to move, one step faster, already readying each of its blades to sink into the enemy Gunpla, but Nero 1 was no pushover in that regard. Its leg and back thrusters, coupled together with the hover thrusters in its feet, burst to maximum output as it rushed forward to meet the Barbatos halfway. Its heat saber clashed with the twin bladesâ arc as the two machines passed one another, the Zaku using the momentum and force provided by its propulsion to deflect and riposte the attack, forcing back the Barbatos as they passed one another harmlessly.
Nero 1 is already spinning on a dime, readying the heat saber so as to lunge straight towards White Wolf, and the Barbatos is hot on its heels. The superheated steel plunges outwards, hoping to catch the Barbatos mid-sprint, but the beastly machine is faster still â just barely, though â as it slips to one side. Its nanolaminate coating seems to begin warping and bubbling from the close proximity of the heat saber to its body as the Barbatos closes the considerable gap. One blade moves to knock the heat saber away, and the other moves to attempt to catch the Zaku by its hands.
Thereâs some small success in the attack: The heat saber is knocked unsteady by the first blow, and the second catched the saber just right to send it flying out of the Zakuâs grasp. Nero 1, however, seems unphased, as he immediately propels himself backwards to create space and, within the same movements, his Zakuâs hands are already reaching for two more weapons docked upon its skirt plates â a pair of heat axes that immediately warm to life as soon as they enter the Gunplaâs grasp. Wasting no time, Nero 1 promptly tosses both axes as if theyâre tomahawks.
Barbatos had already draw both blades back and was midswing, aiming to bisect the Zaku, in the scant few moments that the heat axes began their trajectory. The first axe collides with the joined blades during their arc, forcing an unintended deflection that causes both of its arms to go wide, opening it up. The second axe sails true not far behind the first, and its heated blade finds its mark upon the Barbatosâ body, sinking straight past the nanolaminate coating and armor to dig slowly into the bodyâs greater mass. Itâs not quite a direct blow to the cockpit, but if it were mere inches closer, it would be a sure kill. The Gunpla had to have been greatly compromised by the successful attack as it stopped dead in its tracks upon its back foot. Its arms twitch and its grip goes shaky as bolts of simulated electricity arc across its limbs, as though they can no longer obey their pilotâs inputs.
The Shiranui and Unryu blades then drop from its grasp, clattering upon the ground below, as each of the Gunplaâs arms fall uselessly to its side, and its front half leans forward, seemingly defeated.
âHeh⌠Looks like the White Wolf is mortal after all.â
Nero 1 slightly relaxes as his foe seems subdued for the moment, but notes how the system hasnât registered the battle as âendedâ quite just yet. It meant that he still hadnât delivered the finishing blow, but that was a matter that could be quickly rectified. With a chance to breathe, the Zaku disengages its thrusters and relies on manual movement as it walks to retrieve the elongated heat saber that had been disarmed moments prior. The blade reignites with its namesake heated properties once returned to the Zakuâs grasp, and it moves to loom over the crippled White Wolf, raising the blade above its head.
âYou were quite the entertainer, but it ends here.â
As the heat saber begins its downward swing, suddenly the Barbatosâ head jerks upright. The green glow of its camera eyes suddenly burns a deep crimson, emanating outwards from the mechanical irises. In a flash of motions, its left hand moves to secure the katana sheath at its hip, and its right hand grasps the hilt. Taking a moment to adjust the scabbard perpendicular with its body, it suddenly shoots forward and past the Zaku, ending up mere meters behind it with its katana blade drawn in its grasp.
Nero 1 is left speechless by the sheer speed of the movements, especially when he finds his heat saber slams useless into the ground where its foe once lurched before him. Just as he even thinks to try and analyze what just happened, his virtual cockpit suddenly flashes red with error messages. He watches from his monitor as his Zaku suddenly goes unsteady against its will, and its top half slides cleanly off of its bottom half, collapsing onto the ground. The camera feed cuts out, and the AI announcer declares the results in its mechanical voice at the same time the notification pops up on the HUD.
<< BATTLE ENDED >>
ââ
The Gunpla battle simulator disengages and four men emerge from capsule cockpits into the game center, a few familiar voices loosing sounds of disappointment and disapproval with the results. Amid their din could be heard the commentary of those who served as audience to the match, watching on monitors spread around the game center that played a live feed of the simulator, everyone mumbling about the âWhite Wolfâ and in shock of how the renowned âNero Teamâ could be crushed so easily.
Was there anyone that could stand against this beast?
From the opposite side of the simulator setup, another capsule cockpit opened, and a young, caucasian-looking man of black hair, dark brown, somewhat sullen-looking eyes, and a pair of glasses stepped out. Within his grasp was the very same dreaded âWhite Wolfâ that was quickly becoming the talk of the national Japanese Gunpla battle scene â a custom Barbatos wearing an anti-beam coat mantle that partially obscured a 120mm smoothbore cannon mounted upon its back, a pair of Shiranui and Unryu enhanced sabers in its grasp, and a âGerbera Straightâ katana sheathed upon a dock attached to its left waist. He seems to quietly observe his Gunpla for a few moments before slipping it into a carrying case upon his person.
Without paying any heed to whatever attention his revelation may be drawing, he moves to exit the game center. However, the men of âNero Teamâ take exception to this upon noticing him and move to intercept. One of them stops the young manâs departure by seizing him by the collar of his shirt.
âJust who the hell do you think you are anyway?!â He barks, the voice sounding reminiscent of âNero 2â. âIs this how you get your kicks?! Bullyinâ people around game centers?! If youâre such a hotshot, why donât you compete in a tournament or something with someone at your skill level instead of stompinâ on regular players, huh?!â
âHey,â another of the men calls out, his voice indicating him as âNero 1â of the group, reaching out to grasp his comrade by the shoulder and stop him from escalating things further. âStop that, donât make a scene.â âButâ! Ah!â
The first man winces, then lurches, his grip upon the young manâs collar faltering as he reaches up and takes hold of his captor by the wrist, squeezing firmly. Firm enough to cause considerable pain.
âOw! Ow ow ow ow ow! What theâ?!â
âNero 2â finally releases the black-haired man and retreats his wrist into the grasp of his other hand, rubbing the affected area. âToo weak,â he remarks, his voice low and listless.
âWhat?!â
âIf youâre gonna complain about someone stomping over the weak,â the young man continues, lifting his gaze to behold the whole of Nero Team with a sharp gaze, as though his eyes could easily cut through the lot of them.
âThen maybe you should get stronger. Strong enough to protect what matters to you. Strong enough to put down a âbeastâ like me.â
âWhat did you say?!â
The larger Nero 2 had to be held back by his comrades as the young man continued on his way, completely disregarding the lot of them to exit the game center.
â...Who does that guy think he is?!â
âWait⌠Come to think of it, I think Iâve seen that guy before,â another one of the men, âNero 4â, chimes in.
âYeah⌠Hey, yeah. Youâre right,â yet another affirms, the voice belonging to âNero 3â. âIsnât that the âNanashi Mumeiâ guy who qualified for the upcoming regional tournament?â
âI think it is⌠Yeah, I can see the resemblance.â âSo is that how that guy gets his practice inâŚ? By crushing different game centers across the countryâŚ?â âWhat a piece of work⌠Who can stop a monster like that?â
ââ
Zechariah, of course, couldnât be the least bit bothered by the reputation he was garnering overseas like this. So long as he remained behind his identity, the ânamelessâ Gunpla battler, he could battle as he wished freely. After all, getting a taste of what the locals had on tap was enough to rekindle that particular âhungerâ he once had back home.
He should have been more cautious. He should have known what he would be getting himself into, visiting the country like this. Maybe on some level, he did, and he was always just looking for an excuse to lose himself in this little pastime in the first place.
Hoshino⌠No, Lacie⌠She was wrong about him. She knew nothing about where he came from. Why he became like this.
No⌠The reason why he fought was to escape himself. To chase after a thrill until he could no longer chase it. That ferocity within him, that desperate drive, had not been lost yet.
Only in Gunpla battle could he toss what remained of his broken heart, his broken self-esteem, into completely. Only in Gunpla battle could he find something liberating. Something that freed him from his own pain, if even for a little bit.
And so, he would fight. He would play as he wished, and fight senselessly. Itâs where he felt his very soul belonged to, after all, a virtual battlefield of senseless carnage and conquest, overcoming adversity, knowing full well that, someday, someone could rise up to finally crush him.
He would fight until there was nothing else left of him. That was why he was here. And that was why he wielded his âBarbatos Bushinâ as his blade. A Gunpla built for nothing but battle. A Gunpla that would one day be crushed by someone that could finally succeed him. So impossibly strong and fast, yet so very fragile in its durability, even with its self-sustaining capabilities.
All he needed to do was keep battling and battling until there was nothing else left.

Here's Maxwell đ°đď¸(enrolled the Cuteness Defender Academy, along with his two siblings) and his first armored, the "Guncannon", Earth Federations second unit and a power artillery suit. đđ¤đĽ
Guncannon Max Came from the real: RX-77-2 Guncannon
Armament(s):
⢠60mm Gatling Cannons "Vulcan Guns" Dual, head-mounted, triple-barreled gatling cannons in caliber 60 millimeter. Each gun is loaded with 400 rounds of ammunition and fires at a rate of 1600 rounds per minute. Primarily for the elimination of aerial and light armor targets. With sustained fire, the stream of bullets can cause damage to enemy mobile suits.
⢠240mm Cannons A pair of 240mm cannons are mounted over either shoulder of the MS. The mid-range fire support artillery cannon is fed by a twenty (20) round internal magazine located inside the main body of the Guncannon. Each 240x800 millimeter shell has a 95 kilogram HE fragmentation warhead, with a casualty radius of 40 meters. Can fire to distances up to 2.5 kilometers.
⢠Spray Missile Launchers The pilot has the option to replace the 240mm cannons for the two spray missile launchers, which consist of 12 tubes, each tube containing two (2) missiles for a total of 24 missiles per launcher. While they do not have either the penetration power or the rate of fire of beam weapons, the rockets are not affected by the line of sight and any type of anti-beam coating.
⢠BAUVA*XBR-L (Bauva eXperimental Beam Rifle Long-range) The Guncannon can be equipped with a larger and more powerful beam rifle than the RX-78-2. It is powered via an internal E-Cap with an average charge of fifteen (15) rounds. Each beam is capable of tearing through the medium and heavy armor of enemy MS and MA that haven't been treated with anti-beam coating. Maximum effective range of the rifle is 2.8 kilometers.
⢠Hand Grenades Each RX-77-2 Guncannon comes with two (2) HEDP fragmentation hand grenades stored one per leg, inside a secured hatch on the lower part of the limb. All the MS need to do is reach down and pull the grenade from the storage rack. Once this is done the grenade is already armed. There is a five to seven second fuse, allowing enough time for the Guncannon to throw the grenade safely away. The average throwing distance is about 300 meters.

The Power of Adaptability, and an Innovation for the Future
ADVERTISEMENT #1: Taco Bell's Fry Force Commercial
youtube
The first advertisement that I chose was from the famous fast-food chain Taco Bell. Taco Bell is a fast-food chain based in the United States that focuses on the fusion of Texan and Mexican cuisine. Taco Bellâs advertising techniques are what sets it apart from other fast-food companies, as they are known for ads that implement experimental and humorous subjects. Back in 2021, one of the most eye-catching advertisements by Taco Bell was their âFry Forceâ commercial which aims to advertise their new product: the âNacho Fries.â The ad shows the story of the mecha pilot Rei and her sibling, Kosuke, who was taken as they fought monsters attracted to Taco Bellâs most coveted Nacho Fries. This advertisement clearly aims to entice anime fans as it seems to have gotten heavy inspiration from Japanese media. This includes anime series such as Neon Genesis Evangelion and Gundam and Japanese-inspired movies such as Godzilla and Pacific Rim.
That being said, were the Nacho Fries that were being advertised healthy for consumers? Not necessarily, as fast-food products tend to have high sodium levels. However, as long as you consume fast-food products in moderation, you should be fine. While the ad was unrealistic, as 60-foot monsters and squads of robot-operating pilots do not exist in real life, it still did a great job of piquing the interests of many viewers, especially on various social media sites. Since it was presented in the style of Japanese animation, which started to become more and more popular worldwide during this time, the advertisement felt fresh and unique. All in all, the Taco Bell âFry Forceâ advertisement did well as it resonates with their target audience, uses cultural trends, and because the company has the ability to adapt to the preferences of their consumers in creating promotional materials.

ADVERTISEMENT #2: The Dissolving Bottle
youtube
The second advertisement I chose was by a local Filipino brand, The Dissolving Bottle. The Dissolving Bottle aimed to reinvent the traditional shampoo bottle as it was usually made of plastic which was unsustainable and harmful to the environment. To combat this, The Dissolving Bottle designed a shampoo bar which was shaped like a shampoo bottle. This shampoo bar is soluble in water which made it more sustainable and intuitive. The commercial was shot way back in 2021. It was a very engaging advertisement as it was filmed in a stop-motion style which showed the creativity, passion, and innovation that the brand wanted to represent. The Dissolving Bottle's advertisements' target audience was undoubtedly the general public, as it was seemingly directed towards viewers and consumers of all ages. Meanwhile, The Dissolving Bottleâs product is definitely beneficial for their target audience and consumers as this product will help in reducing the waste in the oceans, which pollutes the earth. By substituting unsustainable plastic shampoo bottles with soap bars that fully dissolve in water, consumers can get the same shampoo experience while keeping our worldâs environment cleaner and safer. The ad captured its viewers' attention due to its very bright and cheerful presentation. The message that it wanted to give voice to was also a large part of its popularity as it talked about how there are more straightforward ways to use shampoo while reducing the amount of waste around the world. Additionally, it also helped that this advertisement won awards from multiple competitions, including the Consumer Wood Pencil at D&AD 2022, which meant that it was "The best of the year in advertising, design, craft, culture, and impact." It is truly unique and amazing because a product like this that strives to change the world gets a proper and well-deserved advertisement.

In response to a completely not serious cohost prompt, i wrote a 2600 heavily gundam inspired piece about 2 mech pilots hiking up a mountain.
I like it so im cross-posting it here!
Attachments Must Be Less Than 10mb!
We stopped at the base of the mountain and I checked my read-outs. Stuck into the cockpit with a wooden frame and held together with duct tape, the communications equipment that normally sat in its own tent next to the commanderâs was blocking me from maneuvering my mechâs left arm. Luckily weâd stuck it in the correct position, holding the antenna ready to extend when I reached the summit. Twelve hours left until the elliptical satellite came into wide scanner range. Iâd have twenty four seconds to transmit the data.
Cracking open the hatch, I swung the thick glass plates out. While I wriggled out of the cramped seat, my onboard radio squealed to life.
âCap, everything good in there?â The Minutehand had stopped a dozen yards behind me. Jingoâs boxy stock unit had turned its head up towards me, facial sensors shielded from the harsh midday sun by its free hand. Sheâd spent so long fine tuning the thing that it ran almost silent, even next to a stealth model like mine.
The Minutehand models were entirely humanoid, matching the look and style of our spaceflight uniforms, with a bit of extra armor. The standard green and white color scheme that most of the Minutehands adhered to had been worn down on this unit, and the remaining white was yellowed. The cockpit glass was freshly replaced, standing out against the well traveled plating. Despite the paint, the mechanics were well maintained, joints freshly scrubbed and all the sealant was fresh.
âItâs a nine hour hike to the peak. Just taking a moment to double check the external equipment.â I ducked back inside the cockpit, out of Jingoâs sight-line.
âOkay, but are you alright, captain?â Oh god, she wanted to talk about this. I slammed the glass shut and started my mech walking. âLook, Iâm real grateful for you stepping in back there, but itâs totally alright if youâre pissed at me.â I buzzed back the code for radio silence.
Forty minutes later, we were picking our way through the ruins of a village. The main road twisted up the mountain and was relatively clear of debris. Luckily, the cars were already moved off to the side, so Jingo just had to walk ahead and cut the power lines for me to pass through. My Lachrymal Actuator Stealth and Recon unit was technically capable of reducing its height, but it did so while raising the active camo, which was a drain on my power cells that weâd need to broadcast.
Getting the lines down was slow going. We had to cut each cable and make sure that it was moved clear before the LASR could pass through. With the heavy gear weighing down my left side, any slip would be catastrophic. I reopened the radio channel.
âThis is real shit work, Jin,â I tried to come across as conversational, but probably couldnât keep out the bitterness. Her Minutehand tossed the last cable onto a nearby roof and we moved up to the next pole.
âIâm not about to apologize for kicking his ass.â She cut the thinner three lines in one motion. The last line flashed with residual power that made her radio fizz with static. Sparks shot everywhere and she stumbled back, arms wheeling. I moved away, out of range of her flailing.
âDidja kill yourself, Jingo?â
âWho the FUCK is still routing power up here? This place is ancient.â I heard her coughing over the line. âAnd donât give me that âyou kill yourself?â bull. I keep my shit properly sealed AND grounded, unlike a certain jackass we know.â
âHeâs a jackass that got us stuck up here all day. Also, I distinctly remember that a lack of ass kicking was your entire problem in that exchange. If anything, you were the ass kickee,â I said as we resumed our slow march. At the next pole, the Minutehand smashed the power converter box on the side of the pole first. She didnât respond again.
Later, deep in the tall forest that ringed the middle of the mountain, Jingo re-opened the line. Weâd picked up the pace, as the higher we got the less ground level vegetation there was to worry about. I was busy monitoring my in-built visualizer, which was throwing spectrographs over the glass. We were a lot closer to the enemy lines, and they'd been known to push their patrols out this far in the past.
She opened the line, but didn't say anything for a moment. By the time she'd worked it out, however, there were three repeated spikes on the visualizer, so I buzzed for silence and brought us to a stop.
I transferred the spectrograph down to the sub-screen array that was set past my knees. It kept up the pulsing irregularity. Working fast, I added a local radio scan and a low pass decibel display next to the spectrograph. The radio scan moved steadily through bands, emitting a rhythmic static pulse through the cockpit. On the main display, I added a seismic readout. While I reached into the net pouch above my head and pulled a map, Jingo had her Minutehand crouch and ready its primary gun. That thing really was quiet, if she'd been much farther away I might have not picked up the movement.
Two, then three minutes passed while I did nothing but listen to the radio search through fuzz. The spectrograph kept picking up the same random spike, but nothing else happened. Slowly, I dialed my local radio's broadcast power supply down to essentially nothing. The signal would be too weak to pick up after more than twenty feet at most, just close enough for Jingo. I made sure our band had already been searched by the scanner and opened the channel.
âGetting an anomalous reading on the spectro, just waiting it out.â Standard Operating Procedure for this class of reading was a fifteen minute wait. I'd give it that long, but we had to keep moving.
âThat's the real finicky one, right? It'll freak out if a big enough bird flies overhead,â said Jingo. That was true, but only because a big bird took up the same space on camera as an air carrier. When I'd first gotten to Earth, I had been stationed up north where geese migrate overhead in the fall. The enemy had taken to flying in a similar V shaped pattern, which meant that twice an hour we had to stop and scout for approaching mechs that werenât coming.
I kept the line between Jingo and me open while we waited. âIt really should be McArthur up here. That bitch,â I said into the air. It was stupid of her to try and attack him, but McArthur had seriously fucked up the operation with his shitty mistake.
âHow do you even miscalculate seventeen hundred miles?â Jingo opened her cockpit, which was significantly smaller than mine, and was perched on the edge, stretching her arms and back. I could hear the wind coming through the radio. âItâs literally his only job. Doesnât have to fight, doesnât have to scout, doesnât have to take a fucking cleaning duty. All the man has to do is math. No, but he fucks it up and weâre all out in the cold on the wrong side of the continent.â Sheâd swung her legs out to dangle and was chugging a canteen.
âInstead, we have to climb this mountain to get the briefest upload. If it was going to be cloudy tonight, they would have canceled it entirely. The only reason that the antenna can reach the satellite from this far off is because of some quirk in the magnetic field.â
âDid they give you the full lecture on it?â
âNaturally. Three hours with the commander and then a field test in broadcast calculations.â
âAt least it was the commander and not McArthur.â
âThe commander doesnât like everyone the way she likes you, Jin.â She looked up at me. There were new lines on her face and her skin was still darker after spending the summer on the high desert campaign. I still wasnât used to it.
âIâm simply without fault.â She grinned at me, toothy and the exact same as I remembered it.
âThen this must be a high honor, and not a tedious punishment that's making us miss the good soup day,â I said as the timer started to ring. Fifteen minutes were up. I shut down the extra sensors, Jingo closed herself back inside the chest of her Minutehand and we started again.
We chased the sunset up the peak, cresting with just enough time to see it fall below under the earth. For a second, the world was painted in a deep, full red. When it changed again to an ever cooling purple, I held the LASRâs free hand out in front of me, spreading the four fingers as wide as theyâd go. Under the first finger was the woody valley where our forces were camped. Between the second and third fingers, I saw the brown speck that was the town weâd passed through. Above the third, was the last battlefield where Iâd fought, when we claimed this territory. There was still a scar in the earth from the fires that had started that night. I held up my smaller hand, where the wounds Iâd gotten then were fresh pink scars.
The LASR had been stabbed through, an errant lance deflected by one of our massive Hourhand units. It had swept itâs shield wide and the lance was redirected into the copse where Iâd been stationed in secret to assist with coordination efforts. The lance slammed into the cockpit, stabbing metal through the flesh of my arm and pinning me to the chair. My outer casing had been shorn into three pieces, which had become tangled in a pine tree. Unable to move my hand, I couldnât untangle the mech from where it was stuck.
When an enemy mech found me, The Lachrymal system was attempting to increase the maneuverability, but it wasnât working fast enough. The enemy unit, what we called a Trident, raised its sidearm to me. Weeping and unable to find traction, the LASR slipped and scrabbled trying to flee. The tridentâs white metal shoulders tensed as it readied to fireâ when it was slammed into by a silent Minutehand. The second convoy, returning from a long campaign in the south. The paint had been sandblasted off along the edges, and its cockpit glass was cracked in a long line.
Under my last finger was Jingo, picking her way carefully up the rocky slope. With her shorter legs, the rocks took longer to navigate, and I had to stop every few dozen meters to wait for her. Lowering the LASRâs hand, I took out the map and compass. It wobbled and twisted before pointing north, just like the Commander had shown me. We were there. I marked the spot on the map with a marker for later reference. The sun finished setting and it was suddenly dark. I switched the radio on.
âWeâre here.â I stabilized the legs and set the map back in its pouch, removing a bundle of papers. The instructions for running the comms equipment was long, but we had very carefully labeled everything at the camp.
âFinally. Good if I climb out, stretch the legs a bit, captain?â I assented and Jingo lowered herself the twenty feet from the cockpit to the ground with a field winch. âMy fucking legs⌠how do they expect me to sit in that thing all day if thereâs not even leg room?â She bounced on the balls of her feet, talking into the handheld. âHey, I could send in a complaint to central command, get the design division on itâ oh wait, no we have to wait months before the next upload. Damn McArthur.â
âIt wouldnât be months between uploads if the enemy wasn't so fond of blowing our satellites out of the sky.â I hit the green series of switches to extend the antenna mast. The grounding spike inserted itself a foot into the dirt. âWe have to use the elliptical satellites because of them, since they arenât around long enough to get a stable target-lock on.â One more green switch locked it in place.
âI know that. Fuck those guys too,â said Jingo, laying back on a rock with her arms behind her head. I flipped the page to the yellow label checks. Main power, auxiliary power, and distributor came online. Gauges swung into position and the backlights turned on.
âYou plan on fighting the whole world?â
âJust anyone who keeps me from talking to my kid.â Shit. It was so easy to forget that Jingo had a daughter back on her home station. Even after the summer campaign she was so lively that she seemed younger than most of the people they fought with. Now, I remembered that her entire family lived aboard the distant Lagrange-4 Helen Station.
âIf they hadnât encrypted the file already,â I said, pausing at the last yellow label toggle. The Commander had given me the file, compressed and encrypted enough that we could get the whole report broadcast in the short window.
âItâs locked in. I get it.â
Next page, red labels. Prep the scanner and fine tune the range. Start a ping-broadcast to confirm connection. I looked down at the paper. Next on the list was to set the connector to the temp-server that housed the file.
âI doubt they even got many images in there, let alone video.â
âWhatever it is, they sure needed every last byte.â Jingo sighed. I pulled up the file on one of my auxiliary screens. Ten Megabytes reporting on half a year's military action. Usually, they all got to record video to send home, alongside any personal letters. I hovered the cursor over the file, staring at the file size. Huh.
âHey, Jin⌠Hey, I have a bad idea.â
After the broadcast, we ate dinner. The Minutehand dug out a pit for us to light a fire and we roasted our meal over the coals. I poured a little boiling water over my dehydrated meat and added an excessive amount of salt in a sad imitation of the stew we were missing back at base camp. Jingo let hers soak cold and then fried it on a hot rock using the fish oil supplements no one ever took.
Far, far above us, a tiny little metal can was busy processing the file it had received from the terrestrial complement. In another twenty hours it would leave the earth and again sail back out into space. Returning to its apogee, the satellite would transmit the data on to the waiting battleship. Whereupon, the ship would carry the file to the closest station, L-2 Webb. The decryption tech would have it ready for them at their desk when their shift began. Someone along the way would have to care, beyond just to punish us, and take the time to remember the name. Maybe while the high councils were reviewing the decrypted information the tech would be making a directory search, curious.
I swung the keyboard out to face the open hatch of the LASR, where Jingo had climbed up to meet me. Her face was lit by the screens that surrounded us. She was slow on the keyboard, and wasn't using all of her fingers. When she was done she handed the keyboard back to me and I hit enter. Red label, connect the wire to the server. The Ping came back and started the upload. The lights dimmed as the antenna surged with electricity.
âItâs a long shot that anyone will actually find her.â
âWorth trying for?â
âYeah. Thanks, Captain.â
Happy_Birthday_Lauralie_Jino.ENC finished its upload to the stars.

"Gundam-Type Mobile Suit? I uh I've never even heard the word mobile suit used around NERV before... none of our Evas can fly period and that piece of junk that Japan Heavy Chemical made couldn't even walk straight. So I guess your Gundam is the more advanced one out of everything I've seen." Shinji replies seeming to be rather impressed by the other mech.
"Well Misato is actually pretty good at her job, so if she's not worried I can't see any reason not to trust her... but it's not like you'd need a high tech robot if you were an angel anyway I guess."
"Baka Shinji is only so impressed because he isn't as experienced at piloting as I am. Your Unit might be impressive from an engineering prospective and I will sadly admit I have not yet figured out the physicals behind your axes my Unit 2 was designed specifically to kill angels so I don't think I have anything to worry about from you when the next one attacks." Asuka brags with a smile and then points dramatically at Sado.
"You just remember that in Tokyo 3 we're the proper defenders and you're just a visitor. That's why we decided that we'd take time out of our busy schedule to show you around. You can now thank us for our kindness." she adds.
The information regarding the angels catches him off-guard. Part of it sounded completely outlandish, but then again, so did an ancient empire of dinosaurs living in the crust of the earth biding their time for 65 millions years. He couldn't deny the evidence before him. He was in another world facing another threat entirely, and he's found new allies.
"I think in your position, anyone would be just as worried." After all, it seemed like they were the only defense the world had left against this threat. Anyone would be more than willing to put them in a box and hide them away for their safety. If anything happened to them, it would be beyond catastrophic. It would be one step closer to the end of humanity on this world.
Once that was handled, he would salute Misato before finding himself stumbling upon the conversation the other two were having. Shinji and Asuka, but the name Ayanami was new. Was that a new person? Maybe it was another Chosen Child like them.
"It's formerly the AX-01, a prototype flight enabled Gundam-Type Mobile Suit. It was meant to get an edge up on other mobile suits by being able to manuever in the air and remain in combat mode unlike the transforming types." Sado would explain after hearing tiny weird agility model.
"I got held up discussing things with the commander. She's cleared me for now. On probation basically." It was more or less wise. He was a completely unknown element here and now.

initial thoughts on Gwitch 5
Elan is not okay
given that Suletta isnât enhanced the way Elanâspecially engineered to handle the Parmet storm and otherwise bypass the strain of piloting Gundamsâis, it brings what Suletta is into question. Since Gundam almost always has newtypes, Suletta may be an organic newtype? And Elan, being an artifical newtype, functions in a different way and canât necessarily keep up.
Itâs interesting that Elan suggests that Suletta is also a clone (âis her face borrowed from someone else too?â), and I wonder if Elanâs original âbaseâ will become a plot point down the line. I know thereâs a theory going around saying that Suletta is a clone of the original Ericht and that Aerialâs AI is in fact Ericht, so weâll see how it develops
okay, now for the elephant in the room: Peil Tech actively owning and developing Gund-Arms.
i guess Peil Tech got around the no Gundam rule on a technicality? because Pharact is unquestionably a Gundam, but since Delling based his anti-Gundam platform on the bioethics of pilot strain... i guess Peil can get away without consequences for making a Gundam because they specifically breed/craft pilots who can bypass that strain? And if Delling and Grassely Defense canât punish Peil Tech and nail them as witches, then it means other companies will be making their own Enhanced Humans to bypass that ruleâleading to a revival of Gund-Arm format and a likely arms war based around treating an entire type of humans as objects (enhanced humans = manufactured parts for a Gundam)
it all seems to imply that arms dealing (i.e. combat type MS) is the biggest business sector of MS deals, but... it looks like the biggest armed threat is the spacian vs earthian conflict, and even that hasnât been an all-out war so far. so 1) is the assumption that combat MS being the largest/most important business sector even the conclusion weâre meant to draw? if so, 2) I guess the implication is that combat type MS units are heavily employed in order to rule by fear, to the extent that combat MS is the main business model in the setting, and thatâs the main reason why the current system can exist as it is?
also, Guel really is shaping up to be the Patrick Colasour of Gwitch... but unlike Patrick, i think heâll die at some point to make a point. (also, imo he still has a lot to make up for because he can be rebranded as the goofy pathetic little meow meowâPatrick was merely an annoying braggart prior to his funny simp tendencies; Guel literally was about to beat Miorine up for her âdisobedienceâ after trashing her greenhouse and treats people âweakerâ than him like dirt. He at least shows indication of learning to respect Suletta as a person, but even in ep 5 his way to protecting her is to police who she can hang out with... not to mention his apology to Miorine is purely because he lost the duel and he doesnât actually see anything wrong with how he treated her in the past.)
Guelâs personality is the main contributor in finding himself in the unenviable position of facing down new (superior) models, which in turn reflects badly on Jeturk Heavy Machinery. One wonders why Jeturk Sr. hadnât beaten the concept of impulsivity having consequences into Guel when he was younger/more easily controlled, but I guess he didnât really need to in the pastâI remember Guel being shocked that his dad beat him back in ep 2. It suggests that if Jeturk Sr. had been slap happy (and Guelâs actions towards Miorine suggests that Guel may have learned it from his own parents), Guel himself hadnât been a frequent target of Jeturn Sr.âs disciplinary tactics. It also makes sense as to how willingly Guel seems to disobey his fatherâs rules... unlike his brother (implying his brother is more familiar with their fatherâs heavy handed disciplinary methods? If thatâs the case, it depends on how much Guel is aware of itâit could very well set the stage for more stuff going on with Jeturk House, if his brother is punished in place of Guel himself, and itâs the first time Guel is aware of how his actions could affect people he cares about.)
I also think it sure says something that the rules are made to be dehumanizing in general, but weâve mostly seen it applied to women practicallyâShaddiq dueling for women with the implication that the girlfriend(s) have no say in their relationship status and itâs decided by the men through duels in ep 3; Suletta canât interfere here even though Guel is essentially policing who she can or canât hang out with, and the narrative frames it as him being protective of her. I am curious about whether the sexism is a trait of the setting, or if itâs a (unconscious?) commentary of the writers themselves
also, itâs still a little annoying that despite same-sex relationships being supposedly âcommonplace around hereâ, all on screen romantic entanglements and assumptions thereof are overwhelmingly straight.
I get that itâs only ep 5, but like. it wouldnât be so grating if they 1) didnât go out of their way to tell us that itâs TOTALLY NORMAL AND COMMON HERE, and 2) there arenât any undeniable background same-sex relationships to normalize it within the setting (no, just vague shippy vibes donât count imoâbackground couples holding hands or w/e would be acceptable, but we havenât seen even the most tame of indications that there are same-sex couples in the background lmao). imo itâs more important to have background same-sex couples specifically of background/unnamed characters to normalize it within the setting, than only having our female leads as the most obvious/only potential same-sex couple. Hell, in the line screencapped above, it couldâve been âBut a lot of people are into cool guys like thatâ or âBut girls and guys love a cool guy like thatâ to indicate that straight isnât the default in this setting.
like. I donât mind if none of the named characters other than our female leads are in same-sex relationships, but imo itâs a bit arrogant to say âsame-sex relationships are common hereâ and then proceed to not even have background characters give evidence of that lol.
on the bright side (i guess) Iâm glad that Elanâs interest in Suletta is definitely confirmed to not be romantic, and I doubt Shaddiq will develop or even pretend to have romantic interest in Suletta, but like. Come on Gwitch, stop shooting yourself in the foot
(this is a mistranslation: ĺ
ĺź in this context means siblings, not just brothers)
interesting that despite calling Aerial family later in the episode, and referring to Aerial as a sister elsewhere, Sulettaâs immediate response is to deny that she has a sibling at all. I hope they keep going deeper into Aerial and Sulettaâs relationship, and with Aerial strongly implied to have sentience in the short story, Iâd be very surprised if they donât pursue that track in the anime, especially with Elan cornering Suletta into a duel.
(also, upon rewatching the episode: itâs interesting that the siblings conversation here leads into the birthday thing, and birthdays are brought up with Elan. Being a clone specifically manufactured to pilot gundams, Elan was not given a name nor a birthday. Despite Elan and Suletta being âdifferentâ, they might actually share similarities like those mentioned at the beginning of this post. After all, Erichtâs 4th birthday is also Very Significant...
it also sets up that birthdays are a significant symbol for Elanâs arcâsince Elan is the most dehumanized character, it might signal that when/if Elan gets or chooses a birthday later in the story, he symbolically has his personhood recognized or is making a statement about his personhood.)
As for next ep... my prediction is that Suletta will lose the duel? but then win Aerial back after Miorine and her other friends give her her fighting spirit back... but honestly who knows, i donât really know what to expect

So Iâve been seeing a lot of people chatting about the new Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance trailer, and thereâs a part of it Iâd like to throw my two cents in on.
Honestly, in regards to there being a billion Gundamâs running around the OYW, I made my peace with that fact years ago, so it doesnât bother me. Yeah, yeah itâs a little silly from an in-universe perspective, no matter how many times they pull the âsecret prototypeâ card. But from an out of universe perspective, Gundams sell, and they want it to sell. Itâs a rare thing in the UC series that doesnât have a Gundam in it.
But just for the sake of it, how many Gundams are (at present) running around in the One Year War?
Note: I was originally going to ignore things like Thunderbolt, The Origin and the Sidestories, since they all have a somewhat weird canon state. Then I realised that âGundams that Canonically existed in the OYWâ â âGundams that you see marketed in OYW sidestoriesâ. So, Iâm going to lead with the suits that we know existed, then move on to the other ones. I am, however, ignoring Manga, because I havenât read everything and weâll be here all day.
Alrighty, so we start off with the original RX-78 series as built in Operation V (sometimes called the âVinson Planâ). We have:
RX-78-1 âPrototype Gundamâ - As its name suggests, the prototype unit to the entire line. Never deployed to my knowledge, Iâm honestly not sure what happens to it. I usually read it as being destroyed during the attack on Side 7, but Iâm not certain of that.
RX-78-2 âGundamâ - you know this one. Amuro falls into the cockpit at Side 7 and proceeds to pilot it from then until the end of the One Year War.
RX-78-3 âG-3 Gundamâ - apparently recovered from Side 7 and used as a test bed for magnet coating technology. Beyond that we have absolutely no idea what happened to it, since thereâs a bunch of conflicting accounts. My usual headcanon is that it was used as a basis for all the MSV suits, but we have absolutely no idea if and where it was deployed.
RX-78-4 âGundam G04â - deployed alongside unit 5 at the Battle of Solomon.
RX-78-5 âGundam G05â - deployed alongside unit 4 at the battle of Solomon.
RX-78-6 âMudrock Gundamâ - deployed in the defence of Jaburo and the re-taking of California base.
The other two units are part of the series, but were not (as far as we know) deployed during the OYW:
RX-78-7 âGundam 7thâ - completed and deployed after the war.
RX-78-8 - we know nothing about. There may have been an 8th unit, it may just have been design data, and we have no idea if it was deployed or what it looked like.
Next; The Gundam Ground Types. There were 20 (-ish, some sources say 28) Gundam ground types produced during the One Year War from spare parts of the RX-78 series. This includes:
The units seen in 08th MS Team - 12 Gundam Ground Types were deployed to the Kojima Battalion.
The Ez8 - Deployed, as above.
Blue Destiny Unit 1 - Deployed
Blue Destiny Unit 2 - stolen by Zeon Ace Nimbus Schterzen.
Blue Destiny Unit 3 - Deployed in pursuit of Unit 2.
Slave Wraith - Questionably Canon, assigned to and deployed by Slave Wraith team.
Iâm also gonna quickly call out that we have no idea on the various Full Armor units (the FA Gundam, the Heavy Gundam, the FA Ground type, the FA type B etc). Some sources say they were built, others that they were only simulation data.
And finally we have everything else:
Gundam NT-1 âAlexâ - Developed at Augusta Base, then moved to side 6, where it was deployed against the Cyclops Team.
Gundam NT-1 âPrototype NT-1â - apparently an entirely separate suit to the NT-1. The prototype to the above. Presumably not deployed.
RX-78XX âPixy/Pixie Gundamâ - Questionably Canon, three units built. Unit 1 deployed in Belfast, Unit 2 in the Gobi Desert (and planned to be deployed at Odessa) and Unit 3 in Africa.
RAG-79-G1 Gundam Marine type - Sometimes known as the âGundiverâ. An underwater-spec unit. Unknown amount produced, primarily because itâs essentially a modified Underwater GM as opposed to a âtrueâ Gundam unit.
And thatâs about it for mainline UC. Gundam The Origin intentionally keeps things very vague as to how many Gundamâs exist there, so Iâm not going to bother.
Gundam Thunderbolt is a bit of an odd case, since at first glance, it adds three:
FA-78 Full Armour Gundam (Thunderbolt ver.) - deployed by the Moore Brotherhood at Side 4.
RX-79[GS] Gundam Ground type S - produced by the Federation during the One Year War and after, presumably deployed.
RGM-79/GH Gundam Head - a GM with a Gundam-style head in an attempt to reproduce the psychological effect on Zeon forces.
But that last one illustrates Thunderboltâs position on the matter, which is later made clearer in the manga in regards to the Bull-G, a unit built postwar. The Bull-G is a prototype unit contending for the position of the Federations new main unit. However, itâs actually an upgraded GM, fitted with a Gundam-style head to make it more appealing.
And this seems to be thunderboltâs position on the matter - after a certain point it comes down to a suitâs performance rather than it being a Gundam. So yes, it adds a bunch of Gundam-style suits, but it also deconstructs that just because a suit looks like a Gundam doesnât make it special.
Which is honestly a pretty interesting position to take.

RX-178 Gundam Mk-II
---------------Gundam Mk-II (Titans colors)--------------
---------------Gundam Mk-II (AEUG colors)--------------
Origin: Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Timeline: Universal Century (U.C.)
Unit Type: Prototype General-Purpose Mobile Suit
Pilot(s): Limited-Production; Most notable pilots include Kamille Bidan and Emma Sheen
Developer: Titans
Operator: Titans, Earth Federation Forces, Anti-Earth Union Group
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TECHNOLOGY AND DEVELOPMENT
A successor to the famous RX-78-2, the Mk-II was developed by the Titans in December of U.C. 0086 and was the first mobile suit to use the new movable frame concept. In it, the movable frame incorporates all the mobile suit's vital mechanisms excluding the weapons, armor and propellant tanks. This approach drastically improves on the suit's responsiveness, reliability, agility and energy efficiency,
The movable parts of the legs on the Mk-II were exposed, based on the prevailing design idea that avoiding being hit is more important than mitigating damage once hit. This stems from the fact that no existing armor could fully protect against beam weaponry, so its better to increase the suit's mobility through weight reduction rather than equip more armor onto it.
It also featured the 360-degree panoramic screen and linear seat cockpit that would become standard in Universal Century mobile suits. Meant to eliminate blind spots, provide the pilot a larger field of view and protect them from G-forces and impact shocks, the cockpit could also double as an escape pod, able to be ejected from the suit if needed.
The most major flaw of the Mk-II was its armor material; it used the by-then obsolete titanium alloy ceramic composite, instead of the significantly stronger luna titanium of its predecessor. This also caused rigidity issues in the frame's leg sections, a problem that persisted even after six design revisions. Despite all of that, the Mk-II was one of the most agile mobile suits available in its hayday, albeit for a short time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EQUIPMENT
Its weaponry remained mostly the same as its predecessor, wielding a pair of beam sabers for close combat stored on the backpack, a beam rifle as its main ranged weapon, a hyper bazooka for heavy firepower, and a physical shield. It didn't have the head-mounted vulcan guns of its predecessor, though it could be outfitted with an external vulcan pod. It also used a clay bazooka, a weapon designed to fire adhesive rounds meant to immobilize enemy machines, though it could be loaded with different types of ammunition, including conventional explosive shells.
The Mk-II also had its very own support vehicle called the Flight Armor. A sub-flight system developed by Anaheim Electronics for the Anti-Earth Union Group, it was designed to protect the Mk-II during atmospheric entry while also serving as a regular SFS within the atmosphere.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HISTORY
There were three total Mk-II units developed by the Titans at the start of the Gryps Conflict. Char Aznable (under the Quattro Bajeena persona) got word of the three prototype units, and led a team with the goal of infiltrating the colony in which they were being kept and stealing them. The plan proved successful thanks to the help of Kamille Bidan, who took one of the suits. In the end, all three were stolen from the Titans and used by the AEUG from then on.
Two of them were sent to Anaheim Electronics to be dismantled and studied, and the last one was kept in service and repainted in a navy blue-on-white color scheme. The Mk-II was eventually outclassed by the Titans' new transformable mobile suits, but it still participated in many of the AEUG's most important missions.
To try and bring the Mk-II up to current standards, the AEUG commissioned Anaheim Electronics to build a new support craft for the Mk-II, the FXA-05D G-Defenser. It could dock with the Mk-II to create the RX-178+FXA-05D Super Gundam, which had superior speed, mobility and firepower. This didn't address anything in the end, as the Mk-II still suffered in performance compared to the latest Titans mobile suits near the end of the Gryps War.
During the First Neo Zeon War, the Mk-II was once again called to action against Neo Zeon. It wasn't officially designated a pilot and it was unable to become the Super Gundam due to the G-Defensor being destroyed during the Gryps Conflict. At the end of the First Neo Zeon War, the Mk-II was severely damaged and abandoned. Its said the suit was recovered and repaired, but ultimately retired from service after the AEUG was re-absorbed into the Earth Federation, being put into storage alongside the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LEGACY
A Full Armor pack was proposed as an upgrade for the Mk-II, where it would have been known as the FA-178 Full Armor Gundam Mk-II. This never came to be, as the FXA-05D G-Defenser was perceived to be more well rounded and not as heavy on the Mk-II, thus the Full Armor pack was never used.
The Mk-II lead to a list of several different mobile suits, most notably the titular Zeta Gundam and the MSF-007 Gundam Mk-III featured in the Zeta Gundam Mobile Suit Variations design series.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Personal Opinion Its really clean, I dig it. I think I prefer the Titans colors just a little bit more, but the AEUG version looks really good in motion too.

bnha + tdmm gundam AU
This is an AU I wrote on the todomomo discord server eons ago. Anything posted to this blog will be transcripts of old original work and not really edited, save for formatting. I have no guarantees if I will ever finish these AUs either so these will only be kept as an archive.
Heavily inspired by Gundam SEED/Destiny
Original transcript posted to tdmm discord: Aug 2018
BNHA MECHA/MILITARY/GUNDAM AU??? FT. TDMM + OTHERS.
JUST HEAR ME OUT OK:
idk when this is set but some sci-fi au where earth is at war w some enemy people and the military uses mechs
U.A. aka United Alliance is the military organization in charge of Earth's mechs
decades ago for idk.. WW III or something, pilots enlisted in U.A. piloting giant mechs (aka H.E.R.O.S. - âhigh efficiency robotic operating systemsâ) became protectors of citizens?? some shit like that.
the top pilots made a name for themselves were namely Toshinori Yagi piloting the TPHR-ALL MIGHT at #1 and #2 Todoroki Enji piloting the FLHR-ENDEAVOR
(Bonus: TPHR for "The People's HERO" and FLHR for, you guessed it, "Flame HERO" woooo)
but during the final mecha fight that subsequently ended WW III, Toshinori Yagi was declared MIA bc his mech crash landed on some coastal shore and by the time they found ALL MIGHT, the cockpit was empty and the pilot was gone
anyway fast forward >> U.A. has a cadet school and low and behold who do we find enrolled,,, aspiring young pilots Midoriya Izuku and Bakugou Katsuki
they both heard the heroic stories of pilot Toshinori and ALL MIGHT and woooo got into U.A.
also in U.A. ofc is Todoroki Shouto whos been groomed to be a mecha pilot since age 5 courtesy of Enji. D u h. (Enji's still piloting ENDEAVOR at this time but has it pretty set that Shouto will inherit piloting his mech)
aaand ofc we get the rest of class 1A in U.A. cadet school for various reasons
ANYWAY im not going into cadet school days bc thats boring but lets say ofc top of the class pilots are Izuku Bakugou and Todoroki that aces all the flight simulations blah blah blah
Also Toshinori was found to be declared MIA to the public but actually whoop. He's at U.A. as one of the boardmembers bc ofc thatâs how im making the story work. Idk he was too injured and has too much ptsd that he cant pilot anymore and is looking for the next pilot to inherit ALL MIGHT (which is fixed up by now)
NOW INTO THE ACTUAL MEAT OF THE STORY - NEW WAR (WW4? I GUESS)
CADET KIDS ARE NO LONGER CADETS. THEYRE FULL FLEDGED PILOTS NOW AND ARE THROWN INTO THE NEXT WAR BC THAT WAS PART OF WHAT THEY SIGNED UP FOR. Whos the enemy? LoV ofc but i dont have a cool name for them yet LMAOOOO
K SO new war. New battle cruisers. New mechs yayayya
U.A. has 2 new battle cruisers: Sirius A and Sirius B, designated (1-A and 1-B DUH)and duh, the crew of 1-A and 1-B is gonna be classes respectively
1-A, Aizawa is captain of the ship LMAOOOO Momo's the crew's battle analyst on comms + nav, Iida takes the helm, idk whos gonna be on weaponry yet but I kinda wanna make it Tokoyami
Izuku Bakugou and Todoroki are mecha pilots ofc
they have custom made mechs that were made for them for mostly training so the models are pretty basic compared to ALL MIGHT and ENDEAVOR but eh they do the job.
I'm doing the hero name thing again so Izuku pilots OAHR-DEKU, Todo pilots HCHR-SHOUTO and Bakugou pilots.... EXHR-K.E.KILL
bc theyâre custom they got to name the mechs so friggin Bakugou. I tried LMAO (if someone can guess the acronyms, bonus points)
also hey! they have a squadron of fighter jet pilots and hey! Its the Bakusquad!!!
each of the fighters have their own names too so you guessed it, their hero namessss ha..ha..ha..ha..
OKAY more people: Hatsume Mei's their engineer. She basically built the mechs and works under Powerloader that built the cruiser ships
Gran Torino built the fighter jets lol
uhh Tsuyu's probably the crew's nurse in the infirmary or smth. Chiyo is the head military doctor back at the U.A. base??? idk
Nedzu head of U.A. Self explanatory.
Fuyumi and Natsuo are there too!!! Fuyumi's part of the cadet teaching staff. Natsuo's a fighter pilot of another fleet
Anyway, TODOMOMO IN THIS AU
they met in cadet training. Momo was working towards being an analyst anyway so naturally they paired up for training exercises as comm + pilot top of the class. Aizawa's first choices when choosing who to enlist in for the 1-A crew
every time Shouto deploys for a fight Momo's hypervigilant in keeping tabs on him in the air bc honestly the worst is seeing a laserbeam aiming for his mech's cockpit
I mean she keeps tabs on Deku and Bakugou too but. yâknow she has a bias loool
and god forbid if anything were to happen to Shouto bc the worse would be for him to be MIA or KIA bc this is a war. People lose their lives. She knows its what they signed up for but if she can help him avoid it, she will
but sometimes it cant be helped. Especially since sheâs navigating for the other pilots and the ship
it doesnât help that Shouto's kinda reckless in his mech fights when they get too intense. sometimes he'll ignore his comms all together and when he does that half the time he comes out of his cockpit injured bc nuclear explosions. Recoil. Life threatening occupational hazard. D u h
Momo's basically crying by his bedside in the infirmary every time that happens
and THE ONE INSTANCE WHERE HE IS OFFICIALLY DECLARED MIA, Momo loses it
bc its his fight against the enemy mech CRHR-DABI. Its in the midst of the enemy's unexpected assault. and the 1A and 1B are taking heavy fire. So she has to focus on Aizawa's orders. and Shouto is getting out range that she cant keep tabs on him. and he's ignoring her comms. so by the end of it, by the time the enemy ships and mechs retreat, HCHR-SHOUTO is g o n e
the dust clears up. Its raining. The fighting's stopped. All of the enemy forces has retreated so U.A. calls their pilots to retreat
2 of their 3 mechs have returned to the ship except for SHOUTO. And Momo's frantically trying to get through to him. But nothing.
Aizawa orders her to stop trying. they'll send out a search team to investigate his last known location after everyone rests. Repairs to 1A and the mechs need to be made. They have to make haste, but for now, rest.
all the logistical post-battle crap is cared for first. Status reports, repair agenda, the next battle plan. The search team is sent out.
nothing.
they keep looking.
nothing for days.
keep looking.
they find it. HCHR-SHOUTO in a lake torn to shambles. The cockpit cut open. Blood stains trail out toward the forest it crashed in but no pilot nearby. (Bc hell ya im gonna recycle tropes loool)
Todoroki Shouto declared missing in action.
Momo gets the update and sheâs devastated
but theres no time to mourn. A second enemy attack.
the Orion fleet is called in. ENDEAVOR's fleet.
and there he is. that mech. CRHR-DABI. again.
DABI VS ENDEAVOR wooooooooooooo
but this time its nearby the city. Civilians need to be evacuated. WGHR-HAWKS assists in protecting the city as much as possible.
but yup ENDEAVOR gets destroyed too. Enji comes out of his cockpit in critical condition. and the enemy retreats again.
more aftermath. More repairing, more strategies, more recovering the injured. Its a war after all.
U.A. works on building a new mech. ENDEAVOR #2. But Enji has to officially retire from piloting due to his head injury.
and his successor is missing.
there is no pilot.
that is until Shouto shows up again!!!!
he has new scar on the left side of his face.
he saw ENDEAVOR's fight.
heâs alive. Heâs come back. And he's out to take down DABI.and you bet he made his dramatic reappearance like:
Aizawa, at a battle meeting with Momo, Nedzu, Toshinori and other UA officials: "Tell me Nedzu. what choices do we have? Enji is compromised. His successor is missing. We're out of pilots. Whoâs going to pilot the second ENDEAVOR?"
Todo, walking casually through the door: "I will."
After thoughts:
hi yes pls imagine all the pilots in skin tight pilot suits and helmets bc HAHAHHAA NGL THAT WAS THE 5% MOTIVATION OF ME COMING UP WITH THIS AU đ
also momo in a military uniform đ
the mechs look like their hero uniforms. OAHR-DEKU is green & white in colour. EXHR-K.E.KILL is black & orange. HCHR-SHOUTO is red blue silver.
TPHR-ALL MIGHT is gold & royal blue. FLHR-ENDEAVOR is blue red and orange.
CRHR-DABI is grey and purple and is piloted by Touya who else would it be
the fleet that i said Natsuo was a part of is the Orion fleet.. Enji's fleet
now that I think about it, Aoyama is probably the designer behind the pilot suits
Shouto names the 2nd ENDEAVOR mech HCHR-REI after his mom
his mom is a civilian and is very much alive kthx Im not pulling some EVA shit here ok

Title: Cuteness Member - Hovee
This is Hovee đżď¸, Jordan K.'s sibling / teammate was a flying squirrel! And he's flying above with his first Cuteness Mecha Armor, the armored "Windam" w/ Jet Striker add-on! đđ¤
BTW: 1. Despite Hovee was a flying squirrel, I removed his side skirts for obvious reason. 2. Original I'd choose Gundam Airmaster or the GW-Bit for Hovee until I'd found something different from hardly search and that's the "Jet Windam". Which you've already seen my art as Hovee's first armor. 3. And don't worry, you'll meet two Kaplan's Brother, sooner.
Jet Windam Hovee Came from the real: GAT-04+AQM/E-A4E1 Jet Windam
Armament(s):
⢠M2M5 "Todesschrecken" 12.5mm Automatic CIWS The Windam is equipped with two CIWS guns located at the torso, to shoot down incoming missiles or enemies at close range.
⢠ES04B Beam Saber Another armament of the Windam which is standard on most mobile suits are its two ES04B beam sabers for close combat. When not in use, these sabers are stored on the back shield or in the back skirt.
⢠Mk315 "Stiletto" Rocket-propelled Anti-armor Penetrator These penetrators are dagger-like weapons, which are stored inside the suit's side armor. The penetrators can be used for close combat but are most times used as throwing weapons, which can destroy a single suit if they hit a critical spot.
⢠A52 Offensive Shield Type E Mounted on the left forearm and/or handheld, it is a physical shield that is used to defend against enemy attacks. The A52 Offensive Shield Type E is a new type of shield and is named as such as it carries missiles.
⢠Mk438/B Dual Multipurpose Missile "Wßrger" SA10 This shield mounts a Mk438/B dual multipurpose missile "Wßrger" SA10, giving it some offensive power.
⢠Drache" Air-to-surface Missiles Guided heavy anti-ground target missiles mounted on hardpoints on the underside of the jet striker's wings.
⢠Mk1323 Unguided Rocket Pods Rocket pods mounted on hardpoints on the underside of the jet striker's wings. The pods can fire a barrage of unguided rockets that are effective against multiple target types.
⢠Mk438 Triple "Wßrger" Air-to-air Missile Pods Missile pods that each hold three anti-air "Wßrger" missiles that is mounted on the underside of the jet striker's wings.
⢠M9409L Beam Rifle For ranged combat, the Windam is equipped with a M9409L beam rifle. This new beam rifle is larger and more powerful than the beam carbine used by other armors.
Special Equipment(s) / Feature(s):
⢠Hardpoints for Striker Packs A specially designed auxiliary armament units that allows an armors to adapt to a number of different roles. Originally developed for the armored Strike, it is also used by its mass production counterparts and their successors. Similar armament units are subsequently used by other factions and they are given different names.
