Knowledge of Islam's philosophy of life (one)
The main voice of the Islamic way of life is the vision of knowledge of the Qur'an and the vision of love of Ahl al-Bayt and its simultaneous union, which is the implementation of the essence of the farewell Hajj speech given by the Prophet (PBUH). The speech informed that the only way to stay on the right path and not to go astray is to cherish the knowledge of the Qur'an with love and itrat, i.e. love for Ahlul Bayt. This approach is the main philosophy of Islamic life law and the essence of worship. The main goal of this article is to show what needs to be done to implement that philosophy in every aspect of life.
The formation of the loving nature of Allah-Rasul is the real life philosophy and knowledge Allah says - وَالَّذِيْنَ امَنُوْا اسَدُّ حُبَّا لِلَّهِ. Those who believe have a lot of love with Allah. - Baqarah: 165 verses Allah says this verse differently in Hadith Qudsi - 'I was a hidden treasure; I manifested myself in love to make myself known and created everything in the heavens and the earth to know me.' (Hadith Qudsi) This means that God's creation is the symbol of His love and in fact love is the generational process of all creation. Without love there is no birth and development of creation. The human birth process is also a product of that same love. Therefore, the loving creation has to wait for God's love by nature. Without love, no act of worship is possible for a servant. Allah made Adam (Alaihis Salam) his knife, He said - 'Inni khalaka Adama ala churatihi (Qur'an). That is why the children of Adam are urged - 'Takhallaku bi akhlakillah - you form nature according to the nature of Allah (Qudsi in the hadith)' and Kalamepa also said - صِبْغَةَ اللَّهِ. Chhibgatallah - Be colored in the color of Allah or form nature by nature. (Baqarah: 138) In order to form such a character, one has to do hard Riyazat Sadhana and Ibadat-Bandeghi from the path of truth-right-siratal mustaqeem for a lifetime. So Allah Almighty says- اَلَّذِيْنَ جَاهَدُوْا فِسْنَا لَنَهْدِ يَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ط
That is, those who endure hardships in my way, surely I will guide them to my nearness and virtue. (Ankabut: 69 verse) Thus, the means of nearness and virtue is the Habib of Allah (SAW); It is not possible to earn Allah's love and satisfaction if one does not love him, if one does not follow and imitate his Sunnah and moral character. So the last Prophet (peace be upon him) said - 'You (no one) can become a believer, until you keep friendship with me (most) than your lives and property, children and children, parents and the whole human race. (Hadith) Therefore Ishke Rasool is the medium and standard of Ishke Ilahi. It is said in the hadith Qudsi - Laulaka Lama Khalaktu Aflakh (O Prophet) If I had not created you, I would not have created anything. The echo of this is the saying of the Holy Prophet - 'I was a Prophet when Hazrat Adam was in the mud of water and mud. (Hadith) So he (the Prophet) assuredly said - He who loves me, surely loves Allah. Whoever follows me follows Allah, whoever sees me has indeed seen Allah. (Hadith) This is the true philosophy of the means of attaining Allah or Siratal Mustaqeem and the constitution of the Islamic way of life.
Documentary evidence of the use of means in Islamic life rules:
The Qur'an says: يَاَویُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اَمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَابْتَغُوْوّا اِلَيْهِ الْوَ سِيَلَةَ وَخَا هِدُ وْا فِىْ سَبِيْلِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْو تُفْلِحُونَ 0 'Ya Ayyuhallajina Amanu'ttaqu'llaha Wabtagu' Ilaihil Wasilata, Wa Zahidu' Fi'Sabilihi La'Allakum Tuflihun -O you who believe! (You) fear and love Allah and seek means or means for Allah, and strive (spiritually and physically) in His way; So that you can be successful. (Surat al-Maida, verse 35); Surah Baqarah verse 143 says- and Thus I have established you as a nation of moderates so that you may be witnesses for mankind and the Messenger will be witnesses for you.' This means the identity of the Ummah Muhammadi - as a nation of mediums and moderates. Allah says - فَلَا تَخَا فُوْهُمْو وَخَا فُوْنِ "Don't fear people, love and respect me. (Ale Imran: 175 verses); He who has this fearful love of Allah in his heart can be a righteous believer of the Muhammadan Ummah and a beloved servant of Allah. But in the case of human life, it is mostly seen that they love Allah's creation more than Allah, which is becoming and becoming a partner. These are the wayward Siratal Mustaqeem, the wayfarers of the opposite course. Their predecessors were Ezidi-Abu Jaheli characters, unbelieving drunkards, maluni (cursed) servants, and infidels-mushrik-fasek-monafek servants.
Islamic philosophy of life philosophy:
According to the hadith narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allah Anhu, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever believes in Allah and the Hereafter, let him speak good words or remain silent.” (Bukhari and Muslim) He also said, "Whoever preaches something to slander a Muslim, Allah Ta'ala will cast him into the fire on the Day of Judgment." Hazrat Abu Hurairah reported: Once the devil of a believer and the devil of a polytheist met with each other. The devil of the polytheist was stout and strong and dressed in fine dresses, and the devil of the believer was lean and thin, disheveled in hairs, and laden with dust. The former said to the latter: Why are you lean and thin? He said: I remain with such a man that when he eats, he remembers God and I become hungry. When he drinks and remembers God, I become thirsty. When he puts on a dress and remembers God, I go without cloth. When he uses oil and remembers God, I become disheveled in hairs. The devil of the unbeliever said: I remain with such a person who does not remember God in any case and I become his partner in eating, drinking, and dresses.

WHAT DOES IMRAN KHAN MEAN WHEN HE SAYS?
Iyyāka Na‘budu wa Iyyāka Nasta’īn
{إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ}
Thee Alone do we worship and Thee Alone do we implore for help.
Critical explanation or interpretation of a text):
From the verses الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ al-Hamdu lillahi [verse number 2] to مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ Maliki Yawmid-Din [verse number 4], it appears that God Almighty is hidden from the servant’s sight and he is praising God. However, all of a sudden, in the present verse إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ, God Almighty is addressed directly. Some ignorant people have raised the objection that this is contrary to the dictates of eloquent speech even though this is not the case.
On the contrary, this is a sublime example of eloquence; for the Being of Allah Almighty is a hidden treasure which is transcendent and not visible to the servant. The servant recognizes Him through His attributes, and by remembering Him, he becomes so close to Him that he sees Him with the eyes of his heart.
This subtle point of man’s spiritual journey is mentioned in those verses and it explains that when man ponders over the four divine attributes of:
رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (Lord of all the Worlds)
الرَّحْمَنِ (The Gracious)
الرَّحِيمِ (The Ever-Merciful)
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ (Master of the Time of Judgement)
His eyes are opened and an intense love for Allah the Almighty is sparked in his heart. It is then that, having been honored with spiritually beholding Him and being overwhelmed with His love, he spontaneously cries out, ‘O. Lord! You alone do I worship and You alone do I implore for help.’ Therefore, changing the pronouns [from third person to second person], indicates that when man reflects on Allah the Almighty’s attributes in the Holy Qur’an, he secures a meeting with Him and His Being emerges before him.
In the hadith [oral traditions of the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu
Alaihi wa Sallam), it is reported by Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RadiyAllahu 'anhu) that that he heard the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) say, ‘Allah Almighty says: “I have divided Sūrah al-Fātiḥah between me and my servant. Thus, one half of it is for me and the other half is for my servant. And I shall grant whatever my servant asks of me (by means of it).” When a servant says:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
[All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the Worlds]
Allah the Exalted replies: “My servant has praised Me”.
And when His servant says,
الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
[The Gracious, the Ever-Merciful]
Allah Almighty replies, “My servant has glorified Me.”
And when His servant supplicates
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
[Master of the Time of Judgment],
Allah Almighty states, “My servant has declared My nobility.”’

A Believer Cannot Be Liar
Hazrat Safwaan bin Sulaim radiallaho ta’ala anhu narrates that Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam was asked,
“Can a believer be a coward? He said, “Yes, he can be coward. Then it was asked whether a believer could be a miser? He replied, “Yes, he can be a miser”, it was then asked whether a believer could be a liar? He replied, “No, a believer cannot be a liar.” (Imam Malik, Mishkaat)
It is mentioned in this Hadith that a believer can be a coward, he can be a miser but he cannot be a liar. Lying is a great risk to our faith, it is a must for us to save our faith and in order to save our faith, it is very important to save ourselves from lying. We need to present ourselves as slogans of truth, the followers of the true religion, the undoubtable Qur’an and Ummah of a Prophet sallalaho alaihe wasallam, who was declared Saadiq even by the infidels of Makkah. (Saadiq means one who always speaks the truth). May Allah Ta’ala enable us to speak the truth and always stay away from lies. Ameen
EVIL OF SPEAKING LIES
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radhiyallaahu Anhu) narrates, in a hadith, that the Prophet (PBUH) said, “The signs of a hypocrite are three; whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; whenever he promises, he breaks his promise; if you have trust in him, he proves to be dishonest.”
The above hadith of Prophet(PBUH) is of such importance to us, his Ummah, because it demonstrates to us that how evil it is to speak lies, that Prophet(S.A.W) associated the telling of lies with a hypocrite.
In another hadith narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurairah(Radhiyallaahu Anhu), Prophet (PBUH) said, “Whoever does not give up false statements (i.e. telling lies), and evil deeds, and uttering bad words to others, Allah is not in need of his (fasting) leaving his food and drink.” This is a clear indication to us how evil speaking lies is in the sight of Allah Taala that Allah Taala will not accept our Ibadat becase of us telling lies.
Unfortunately, our problem is that we think that by fulfilling the five fundamental principles of Islam we have become perfect Muslims. Islam has many diferent aspects to it and, by only fulfilling the one aspect of Ibadat, does not make us true Muslims. Turning a blind eye to such aspects of Deen, like restraining our tongues when it comes to our utterances, will only be to our detriment.
It is such a detestable act to speak lies that even non-Muslims, when asked, will admit to the evilness of telling lies. To such an extent that, during the days of jahiliyah (ignorance), before Prophet(PBUH) propagated the message of Haq of the Deen of Islam, the Arabs were the worst of people on the surface of the Earth. No government or king was prepared to rule over them because they had the worst of qualities in them. But, with all the evil qualities and bad habits the Arabs had at that time, the telling of lies was regarded as a detestable act.
The following Ahaadith of Prophet(PBUH) explains further to us the evil of speaking lies: Hazrat Abdullah ibn Umar narrates that Allah’s Messenger(PBUH) said, “When a man lies, the angel moves a mile from him because of the bad odour of what he has produced.” Samura bin Jundub relates that the Prophet(PBUH) said, “I saw (in a deream), two men came to me.” Then the Prophet(PBUH) narrated the story (saying), “They said, `The person, the one whose cheek you saw being torn away (from the mouth to the ear) was a liar and used to tell lies and the people would report those lies on his authority till they spread all over the world. So he will be punished like that till the day of Ressurrection.`”
Abdullah narrates that the Prophet(PBUH) said, “Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to paradise. And a man keeps on telling the truth until he becomes a truthful person. Falsehood leads to Al-Fajur(i.e. wickedness, evil-doing), and Al-Fajur(wickedness) leads to the (Hell) fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till he is written before Allah, a liar.” Narrated by Wathila bin Al-Asqa, Allah’s Apostle(PBUH) said, “Verily one of the worst of lies is to claim falsely to be the son of someone other than one’s real father, or to claim to have had a dream one has not had, or to attribute to me what I have not said.”
Hazrat Aisha (Radhiyallaahu Anhu)(Ummul Mu’mimin) said, “The Apostle of Allah (PBUH) used to make supplication during the prayer saying: `Oh Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from the punishment of the grave; I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of the Antichrist; I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of life and the trial of death; Oh Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from sin and debt.` Someone said to him: `How often you seek refuge from debt!` He replied: `When a man is in debt, he talks and tells lies, makes promises and breaks them.`”
Abu Bakra(Radhiyallaahu Anhu) narrates that Allah’s Apostle said thrice, “Shall I not inform you of the biggest of the great sins?” We said, “Yes, O Allah’s Apostle.” He said, “To join partners in worship with Allah; to be undutiful to one’s parents.” The Prophet(PBUH) sat up after He had been reclining and added, “And I warn you against giving a false statement and a false witness; I warn you against giving a forged statement and a false witness.” The Prophet(PBUH) kept on saying that warning till we thought that he would never stop.
The above Hadith illustrates the evil of speaking lies because Prophet(PBUH) associated the telling of lies with joining partners with Allah, which is such a great sin that Allah, never forgives.
In conclusion, Allah Taala mentions in the Quran, “And they even assign to things they do not know a portion out of that which we have bestowed for their sustenance! By Allah ye shall certainly be called to account for your false inventions.”(Sura 16, Verse 56). Telling lies is a great and grevious sin and it removes all the Barakat from our lives. We must therefore, at all costs, abstain from uttering such things that will be to our detriment in this world and hereafter.
May Allah grant us Taufeeq to abstain from speaking lies. Aameen

Some Blessings When Reciting Bismillah;
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings be upon him) has stated: ‘O Abu Hurairah, when you make Wudu, recite Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem as your Angels (i.e. Kiraman and Katibin) will continue to record virtues for you for as long as your Wudu exists.’
The food before eating which Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem is not recited contains no blessings, satan cannot digest the food before eating which the name of Allah Almighty is mentioned.
76,000 Virtues - It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Mas’ud that the Prophet of mankind, has stated: “One who recites Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem, Allah will record 4,000 virtues in his book of deeds for very letter, forgive 4,000 of his sins and raise his rank by 4,000 degrees.” - [Firdaus-ul-Akhbar, pp.26, vol.4, Hadith 5573]
Protection of Home - We should write Bismillah on the external door of our home, we will be protected from all types of worldly calamities. Sayyiduna Imam Fakhruddin Razi has stated: ‘Whoever writes Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem on the main gate of his house will have no fear of annihilation (in the world only) even if he is an unbeliever; so what would be the extent of protection and blessings for the Muslim on whose heart it remains engraved for his entire life!’ - [Tafsir Kabir, pp.152, vol.1]
At the time of lawful trading of your business whenever you receive something from someone and give something to someone, recite Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem, there will be a great deal of blessings.
Before going to sleep, whoever recites Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem 21 times (with Salat-an-Nabi once before and after it), will be protected that night from satan, burglary, sudden death and all types of calamities and troubles.
Sayyiduna Shaykh Abul Abbas Ahmad bin Ali Buni has stated: ‘If anyone recites Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem 786 times daily (with Salat-an-Nabi once before and after it) for 7 consecutive days, his every need will be fulfilled whether it is the need of getting rid of any adversity or attaining any good or that of having prosperity in his business.’ - [Shams-ul-Ma’arif, p.73]
Rasulullah (may peace and blessings be upon him) was asked by Uthman (Radi Allahu Anhu) regarding Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem. He replied that it is one of the great names of Almighty Allah and it brings a person as close to Allah (Lord of the universe) as is the closeness of the whiteness and blackness of the eyes. - [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]
Hazrat Ali (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu) is reported as saying that: Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem is an effective dua for simplifying a difficult task; and removes all grief and brings happiness in the heart.
All power is from Allah Almighty, and we must always ask for His support, because we are in need, we are the weak ones. If you say Almighty Allah's Holy Name, you will take benefit from that action, and any harm that may be in it will leave you.

Hajj in this epidemic situation of coronavirus
Hajj and its importance
In the season of Hajj, a lot of Muslims make them prepare to gather in Makkah. Everyone wishes to be present in Allah's house in this sacred season. Allah Subhanhau Watalla says in the Holy Quran:
" And Pilgrimage to the House is binding upon men for the sake of Allah, (upon) everyone who can afford the journey to it; and whoever disbelieves, then surely Allah is Self-sufficient, above any need of the worlds."
Ref: Surah Al Imran, Verse # 97
On another place:
" And complete the Hajj or Umrah in the service of Allah"
Ref: Surah Al Baqarah verse # 196
This is how Allah has ordered his creation to perform hajj and made it obligatory for the one who can afford the journey once in a life. Hazrat Ibrahim (a. s) has also opened up the invitation for the Hajj and then the Holy Prophet (peace be upon Him) has also renewed it. Let us see some ahadith regarding hajj obligation.
Hadith:
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu Anhu) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon Him) says while addressing to the people one day: "O people! Allah has prescribed Hajj upon You, so perform it." A man among people: "will it be every year, O messenger?" and he repeats his question three times. Then holy prophet (peace be upon Him) said: "if I had replied you: Yes, it can be a yearly obligation for you and you can't afford to perform every year" And the prophet asked to leave Him alone
Hajj is the basic pillar of Islam:
Among the five pillars of Islam, Hajj is considered as the basic pillar. (Sahih Al Muslim & Sahih Al Bukhari)
A great reward:
Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) narrated: the holy prophet told when someone asked: "What kind of deed is best?" He said: "faith in Allah and prophet," He asked: "what after that", He replied: "Jihad", he asked: "what is next?" He replied: "Hajj e Mabroor"
Ref: Sahih Muslim & Sahih Bukhari.
Hajj in this epidemic situation of coronavirus
Due to coronavirus, Saudi authorities suggested the travelers not to come and stopped them to visit Makkah. There are more chances that the Hajj will be canceled this season and will be delayed. In 1918, when they faced the flu pandemic this step was not taken. But to the seriousness of coronavirus disease, it is necessary to take this step. Let us see how hadith guide us in this situation?
Hazrat Ayesha (Radia Allahu Anhu) narrated that she asked the holy prophet (peace be upon Him) about the plagues, He replied: "They are a punishment which Allāh sends upon whomsoever He wills, but Allāh has made it mercy to the believers. Anyone who remains in a town which is plagued with an epidemic, remaining patient and anticipating Allāh's reward, while firmly believing that nothing will befall him other than what Allāh has preordained for him, then he will receive a reward of a martyr."
Usama Sharik narrated that the holy prophet (peace be upon Him) said: "Servants of Allāh! Make use of medical treatment, for Allāh has not made any disease without creating a cure for it.'
Usama Bin Zaid narrated that the holy prophet (peace be upon Him) said:
"If you hear of plague inland do not enter it; and if it breaks out in the land where you stay, do not leave."
So, hadith says it is better to stay in your home town. Because there are more chances of spreading this disease through gatherings. To avoid gatherings is the best way to save yourself. One beautiful hadith says:
Abu Musa Al Ashári narrated that the holy prophet (peace be upon Him) says:
"When a slave of Allāh suffers from an illness or goes on a journey, he is credited with an equal reward of whatever good works he used to do when he was healthy or at home."
So, we can earn the same level of reward by staying at home.

WHAT DOES IMRAN KHAN MEAN WHEN HE SAYS?
Iyyāka Na‘budu wa Iyyāka Nasta’īn
{إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ}

The Life of The Prophet Muhammad: Exemplary Ethics of The Prophet: Modest: Part 1
THE PROPHET IS OCCUPIED WITH HOUSEWORK
After the death of the prophet (PBUH), His wife and the mother of all believers, Hz. Aisha was asked the following question:
“How was the Apostle of Allah (SWT) at home?”
Hz. Aisha (RA) answered:
“He was happy to do his work himself. Though his friends were ready to do his works, he did not want them to do them. While at home, he mended his clothes, swept the house, milked the goats, tethered the camels and fed them. Moreover, He mended his shoes and leaking waterskins, helped the servants and kneaded dough with them. He carried the food from the market himself, and when someone said, “O, Apostle of Allah! Let me carry them.”
He replied; “Every believer should carry his own load himself if he can.”
Do you not want, O Umar?
Hz. Umar (R.A) once entered the room where the Blessed Prophet was resting. He glanced over the room for a while. On one side of his room, there was an animal skin, on the other side, there was a small pouch that contained barley. Here, that was all in the room of Allah’s apostle. Upon seeing this scene, Umar started to cry and his weeping awakened the Prophet (PBUH). Hz Umar, who had seen the marks of the mat and the blood blister on the prophet’s body, now started to cry by trembling. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked amazedly:
“O, Ibn al-Khattab! Why are you crying?”
“O, Apostle of Allah! While Persians let their kings live in palaces and Byzantines give their Emperors a luxury and glorious life, you are the apostle of Allah… give permission to us, then we will…”
What he meant had been understood. The apostle of Allah (PBUH) interrupted the sentence of his future caliph with a sad simile and nice hand signal and recited the following verse:
“What is the life of this world but amusement and play? But verily the Home in the Hereafter that is life indeed if they but knew.” (al-Ankaboot, 29/64)
And He added:
“Do you not want O Umar this world to belong to them and the Hereafter to us?"
OPENS HIS BOSOM
It was hours before the battle of Badr… The apostle of Allah (PBUH) was controlling the lines for the last time and arraying His soldiers. He softly pressed the bosom of Usayd the son of Khudayr, who was a bit in front, and wanted him to form the line. Upon this, Usayd who was a joker said:
“O Apostle of Allah” (PBUH) “You have hurt me; let me do the same.” Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) immediately stood in front of Him:
And said; “I am here; get your right”. Usayd said with a serious manner:
“But, O Apostle of Allah, My bosom was naked, you are clothed” Hz. Muhammad (PBUH) untied His shirt and said:
“Get your right now.”
Usayd the son of Khudayr, who started to kiss by hugging His prophet, said:
“O, Apostle of Allah,” “Let my mother and father be sacrificed for you, I only wish that my life would end by kissing you.”
I DO NOT LIKE HAVING A SERVICE DONE FOR ME
The Prophet was going to the mosque with one of his friends, Amir, the son of Rabia. His shoe was untied. Amir wanted to tie it immediately. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prevented him and tied himself. While tying it, He addressed Amir:
“This is having a service done by others. I do not like having a service done for me by anyone.”
YOU ARE NOT STRONGER THAN ME
There was a move forward to the first important test, the battle of Badr. There were few camels, only one camel for three people and it was ridden by turns. The friends of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who shared the same camel, voluntarily gave up their turns. They wanted the Prophet (PUBH) to ride continually. He did not accept it:
“He said, “You are not stronger than me. Moreover I need to get thawab (reward) as much as you need.”
I CRY WHEN I EAT TO SATIATION
It was the years after the death of Hz. Muhammad (PBUH). A relative of Hz. Aisha (RA) visited her. Hz. Aisha had had a table set up for her relative. Then, she could not stand and started to cry. Her relative asked the reason. Hz. Aisha (RA) answered:
“Whenever I eat to satiation, I cry,” Her relative got more curious and asked again:
“Why?”
“Because, the Apostle of Allah had never eaten to satiation through his life. He was in financial difficulties. He did not have two meals in a day. When he ate bread, he did not eat dates, and when he ate dates, he did not eat bread. As He always thought of and preferred others instead of himself, he lived in such a way. However, now people use medicine to digest what they have eaten. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had never seen a roasted lamb through His life.”
EVERYONE TIED ONE BUT HE TIED TWO
The Meccan enemies along with desert clans had set up an army of ten thousand soldiers and advanced towards Medina. The number of Muslim warriors was hardly three thousand. They decided to stay in the city and preferred a defensive war. A huge trench started to be dug around the city. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was working in the job of carrying the excavated soil to the outside of trenches. According to the narration of an eyewitness friend of Him, dust covered the skin of His bosom and stomach.
The most difficult part of trench digging that lasted for three days was the strong famine and drought. His friends tied stones on their stomachs in order not to faint because of hunger while working. At one moment, they stood in front of the apostle of Allah and demanded from him to witness their self-sacrifice… and they pulled their garments up and showed the stones. He only smiled. Then he pulled up his garment… Two stones were tied together on the stomach of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
LET ME CARRY WOOD
They were on a journey… They took a break for eating. All of his friends took on a task. The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
“Let me carry wood for fire.” His friends wanted to prevent him from doing so:
“O Apostle of Allah! Have a rest; we will do that work, too.” The prophet Muhammad answered solemnly:
“I know that you would perform it willingly. However, I am not happy to be in a privileged position in a community. This is not liked by Allah, either.” And He continued to pick up woods.
HE GOES TO BED QUIETLY
It was the first days after the Migration. Muslims of Madinah shared everything with their Makkan brothers, who left all of their material possessions in Makkah. There were ten guests for each house. Hazrat Muhammad shared one of those houses with his mujahid friends. Miqdad bin Aswad, one of them, narrates:
"There were a few goats in the house; they earned their livings with their milk. When the goats were milked, everybody drank their share… The share of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) was left in the container. One night, Hazrat Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) came home late. Everybody had drunk their share and gone to bed. The container was empty but he did not say anything. He only prayed as follows:”
"O Allah, who has fed me today! Feed them, too!"
Then, Miqdad woke up and wanted to slaughter one of the goats to appease the Prophet but Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) did not let him. Instead, he milked the goat again and drank the few drops that came out of the goat and went to bed quietly.
I AM NOT A KING
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) went on shopping with Abu Hurairah. After trading, the Prophet gave silver pieces to the seller which was used instead of money to weigh and said:
“Be careful, and weigh heavily.” The amazed seller said that he had never heard such an offering from his customers before. Upon this, Abu Hurairah informed him that he was the prophet…Then the seller immediately wanted to kiss Prophet Muhammad’s hands (PBUH)… However, he did not allow him to do so.
“This is practiced by Persians for their kings. Im not a king, but a person like you…”
On the way of returning home, Abu Hurairah wanted to help him by carrying his load. He did not allow him to do this, either.
“A person should carry his load only himself if possible.”
ONLY FOR ALLAH
Whenever the Prophet went near his friends, they always stood up at once. One day, he could not put up with it anymore and said,
"Do not stand up as Iranians do by looking up to one another; do not stand up when I come in because I am a person who eats like a slave and who sits like a slave."
In a similar incidence, he added the following:
"Do not stand up for anybody. Only Allah deserves to be stood up for."
Afterwards, when he entered a place, his friends refrained from standing up and went on sitting.
I HAVE BEEN HUNGRY FOR THREE DAYS
The Apostle of Allah had not eaten anything for three days… He went to the house of his daughter, Hz Fatima, to ask if there was something to eat:
“O, My daughter! Have you not got anything to eat? I’m very hungry.”
Fatima (R.A) answered:
“My father, may my soul be your sacrifice for you! I swear that I have nothing to give you for eating.”
During this time, he was the president of a country besides being a Prophet… Another day, Hz. Fatima (R.A) took the barley bread which she had just cooked to her prophet father. Hz. Muhammad (PBUH) said to her daughter:
“My daughter, I swear that your father has not eaten anything for three days.” During this time, he was head of the state, too.
NO SHOW OFF
The Prophet was performing hajj (pilgrimage). A hundred thousand Muslims were around him; his sovereignty had been accepted by the whole Arabian Peninsula. He made one hundred camels slaughtered from his share that was obtained during the wars during hajj and distributed the meat to the poor. During this hajj, when he reached the climax of his life, victory and prophethood, he could have made it a victorious final but he sat on a mattress that was worth only four silver coins on his camel. At the end of the Farewell Hajj, he opened his hands and prayed as follows:
"O Allah! Accept this hajj as one that includes no show off or conceit.”
