Eddie likes his walk home from work. He makes his way through the grove along the small river. It clears his head and lets him relax. When he reaches one of the many little bridges he has to cross he suddenly stops in his tracks. Someone is standing up to hip in the middle of the small river. You couldn't pay Eddie to dive into the silt but also it's the end of October?? Part curious, part worried Eddie steps closer.
The guy in the water is still completely dressed in what looks like slack and a by now very see through button down. His hair is dripping and his entire body is shivering. That doesn't stop him though from diving back into the water only to resurface an impressive amount of time late, looking frustrated and cursing quietly.
"Can I help you, man?" Eddie calls out to him and the guy spins around. Even in the dim evening light Eddie can make out the most beautiful hazel eyes.
"I'm getting a divorce," the guy calls back, like it explains anything.
"So you're what? Drowning yourself?"
"I'm not drowning myself," the guy snaps, "I can't find the fucking key."
"The key?" Eddie asks, confused before it hits him. The small bridge he is standing on is aching under the weight of all the padlocks chained to it by newly-weds who watched one too many travel documentaries about Paris and think this is the Pont des Arts. Well,
Eddie can admit that it's kinda cut to buy a padlock, engrave your initials on it, lock it and throw the key into the river, but it's also kinda cheesy and stupid if your marriage doesn't last. Case in point. The guy looks like he is about to dive in again, which is even more stupid there is no way he is going to find a key, let alone the right one.
"I can help you," Eddie blurts and the guy just glares up at him.
"You gonna come dive with me?"
"No, but I can....," Eddie hesitates and bites his lip, "I can pick your lock."
It's not something to just reveal to strangers. Especially with his aesthetic Eddie knows what it looks like. Eddie learned how to lock-pick at the tender age of eight though, when he wanted to become a magician and then he tried to pick locks just to see if he could. The guy in the water thankfully doesn't point and scream criminal!! He just gives Eddie a considering look.
"Alright," he says and gets out of the water. His wet clothes cling tightly to his body and for a second Eddie forgets how to speak because holy shit divorce dude is ripped. He shakes himself out of his stare but he is pretty sure hot guy noticed if his amused smile is anything to go by.
"So, which one is it?" Eddie asks and the guy points at a cheap, golden padlock that has SH + TH engraved on it. Not even a heart, just the letters.
"Think you can open it?" the guy asks and wraps his arms around his body.
Eddie takes a closer look. The lock is, shit he is gonna crack that baby open in no time.
"Yeah, for sure, this is quite a cheap look, so easy work," he says and takes out a hair pin before he gets to work.
"Figures he'd get a cheap lock," the guy mutters before his teeth start chattering. Without really thinking about it Eddie takes off his leather jacket and hands it to the guy.
"So you don't die of hypothermia before you can get your alimony," Eddie says and goes back to picking the lock. The guy looks very greatful and quickly slides the jacket on. Eddie very pointedly does not look because he know the sight will only distract him further. "If you get alimony."
"Oh, I will," the guy says and pulls Eddie's jacket tighter around himself. "The fucker cheated on me."
"Is he stupid?" Eddie gawks because holy shit how do you cheat on a guy like this? It makes the guy laugh and once again how the fuck do you cheat on him?? Just for that sound alone Eddie would recite vows and he never really saw himself as a marriage person.
"Yeah, he is pretty fucking stupid," the guy snorts and watches as Eddie's nimble finger work on the lock. After a very short time Eddie can feel the last bolt of the lock give way.
"So, are you SH or TH," he asks as he twists his hair pin one more time.
"SH," SH says with a soft smile. "Steve."
"Eddie," Eddie says and finally opens the lock.
"Holy shit, you did it," Steve gapes.
Promised you," Eddie grins and hands the lock over. "And I do keep my promises, sweetheart."
It feels almost symbolic that Eddie was the one to open their 'wed-lock' when he takes Steve home later that night. When they get married they don't engrave a lock. Instead, Eddie carves their names into a young tree. So their love can grow with it. They still like to pass the tree when they are old and grey, and run their wrinkly fingers over their initials, framed by a heart.

Stranger and the Bear Pt1
Summary: A handsome stranger has been warming a stool at the bar you work at. What happens when ghosts from the past make an appearance?
Pairings: Logan Howlett x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 2.5k
Warnings: drinking, a touch of Logan smoking the cigar, abusive relationship mentioned (no abuse shown), I think that’s all for this chapter
A/N: if you saw this on ao3, I’m the same person! I’m deep in a Logan crisis and have been thinking about moving my Logan fics over to tumblr so his resurgence has given me the boost I need!
Part 2 can be found here
“Hey stranger!” You shout to your newest bar customer, tossing a coaster in front of him before turning around and grabbing his usual.
“Hey Bear,” he responds, his deep voice silky and rough at the same time.
“I can’t believe you still call me that,” You laugh, “it’s been like, three months.”
“You mentioned it first, so I ran with it.” He smiles and winks playfully at you, the most lighthearted you’ve ever seen him. The tall and handsome stranger had first come into the bar you work at a few months ago, ordering a whiskey neat and a beer.
You’d given him your name in the hopes that he would give you his in return, but no luck. “My childhood classmates called me care bear though, they claimed I was as sweet and cuddly as a care bear,” you tell him, smiling at the old memory.
“Care bear, huh?” The stranger had said, deep voice rumbling through his chest. “How about just Bear?”
“Ooh! I like that,” you say before asking him what he would like to drink.
The two of you had fell into an easy camaraderie, always some light flirting, at least from your end. You’d never asked his name and he’d never offered. Your stranger was a good looking man, neatly trimmed facial hair and sideburns, usually in a leather jacket and form-fitting jeans. He was the definition of ‘hate to see them leave, love to watch them walk away’ and you looked forward to the one or two days a week he would come in. He was always respectful, drank the same thing, and left a decent tip.
The evening passed in a blur, patrons coming and going but your stranger stayed where he was. You refilled his drinks at the exact moment he was finishing the last, that was your routine. You’d refill his drinks and he would hang out for a few hours. He watched you work, sometimes from behind dark sunglasses, sometimes through hazel green eyes.
“Hey Bear, c’mere.” Your stranger asked, cigar hanging from his mouth. You made your way towards him, thinking about how no matter how much he drank, he seemed perfectly sober. “You from ‘round here?” He asked, no sunglasses today. You could see his pupils were blown and for the first time in two months you wondered whether he was actually buzzed. He smelled like good worn leather and the cigar he was smoking. You had to prevent yourself from closing your eyes when you inhaled his scent.
“Uhh, sorta kinda. Why?” You told him, shocked at the personal question, and also embarrassed.
The truth was that you weren’t from here, you’d moved here to be with an ex-boyfriend and it had ended badly. You’d gotten home from work one night to find the locks had been changed on the apartment as well as his phone number. Come to find out, he’d been sleeping around on you since you started dating and decided he liked his side piece more. So you’d called your boss, Sally, begging for somewhere to stay and she rented you the studio apartment upstairs. You struck up a deal, the apartment for half price as long as you closed the bar down every night.
When your ex’s side-piece decided she didn’t like him as much as she'd originally thought, he’d begun stalking you and things had gone downhill. He tried to get physical with you once but Sally had threatened him with a shotgun and he hadn’t shown his face again. That was ABOUT the same time your stranger had started coming to the bar, and for some reason you felt safer when he was there.
Apparently Sally did too because on nights he showed up, she took off early and let you close down by yourself.
“So I presume you know that guy in the corner over there? He’s been watching you most of the night.” He told you, clamping the cigar between his index and middle finger. You began to turn your body in the direction of the person he was talking about but a warm hand a-top yours stopped you. “Don’t make it obvious, Bear. Don’t want him to know.” His eyes raked down your body as he was speaking, drinking you in. You weren’t wearing anything fancy, fitted jeans and a black cropped tank with the bars logo on it, but the way he was looking at you made goosebumps cover your skin.
Forcing your mind back to the issue at hand, you glance in the corner, keeping your body facing your stranger. When you caught sight of the face in the corner, you paled. It was your ex, and Sally was gone, her shotgun locked in her office.
“You alright, sweetheart?” Your stranger asked, noting your expression, his hand rubbing back and forth across your knuckles. If you hadn’t been worried, you would have blushed at the way his hand held yours and the nickname he called you.
You forced your voice to sound normal when you spoke again. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just ghosts from the past.” You forced a smile, one that didn’t quite reach your eyes and were surprised to look up and find your strangers face held concern and a touch of tenderness.
“I’m gonna stick around late tonight, Bear. So keep ‘em comin’.” He told you and you felt a bit safer.
You worked the night away, one eye on your next drink ticket and one eye in the corner where your ex sat, unmoving. Your stranger did the same, only he kept one eye on you and one eye on your ex. At ten till close your voice rang out into the emptying bar, “last call!” The few that were still hanging out left not too long after, leaving you, your stranger, and your ex in the bar. You chose not to acknowledge that you knew it was him, hoping that the dark shadows of the bar would convince him that you didn’t notice who he was. After a few tense moments he stood, heading towards the front door so you turned to your stranger.
“I’m gonna run to the bathroom, Bear.” He said, the sultry tones of his voice soothing you. You took a glance at his retreating back before turning around and starting your wipe down of the back bar. A rough hand grabbed your wrist, pulling and making your body spin. It happened so fast that you didn’t get a good look at the face until it was the only thing in your line of sight. It was your ex, which shouldn’t surprise you but somehow it did. Your voice caught in your throat and you couldn’t attempt to shout for help from your stranger, your fear paralyzing you.
“I thought your miserable ass left this fucking town.” He snarled in one ear, face pressed against yours.
“You would think that when I left you, you’d have tucked that tail and ran back to mommy and daddy. Why are you still fucking here??” He sneered and you could smell the alcohol on his breath and when he pulled back, your wrist in his hand, you could see that his pupils were blown wide. He was high too, but you didn’t know what on. You didn't know why he was so obsessed with you, it wasn't like you had a great and powerful love. You thought his feelings were just hurt because you didn't take him back. “You stupid. Fucking. Bit-“ But he didn’t get a chance to finish because his body was ripped away from yours. You blinked and saw your stranger standing over him as he lay on the floor where he’d been thrown.
“Attacking a woman while she’s alone?” He snarled, that deep vibrato now a growl. He picked your ex up by the front of his shirt, his strength shocking you. “You piece of shit. Picking on a woman half your size while she’s alone?” He growled, shaking your ex while he was holding him up in the air. “What kind of an asshole gets off on that?” Your legs were shaking so bad that you sunk to the floor, the butt of your jeans wet from the beer and liquor that had been spilled during the course of the evening.
Your ex looked terrified, used to always being the bigger in a fight but he looked like a teenager next to your stranger. His mouth was moving wordlessly, almost like he was trying to make sounds but was too frightened.
“I’m not gonna hurt you tonight, but I swear to god if you come back, I’ll rip you limb from limb. And I’ll be here every night to make sure she stays safe. Get outta here before I change my mind, you piece of shit.” He snarls, dropping your ex unceremoniously on the floor in a heap of fear and embarrassment. He scrambles to his feet, sprinting towards the front door, letting it slam behind him. You see your stranger following behind him to lock the door before your vision starts to swirl with the beginnings of a panic attack.
“In through your nose. Out through your mouth. In through your nose. Out through your mouth.” You repeat over and over to yourself when you feel a large, warm hand on your shoulder and a low gravelly voice speaking in your ear.
“Bear. Bear. Are you alright?” You continue your breathing, adding a small nod to ensure your stranger you were fine.
“I’m gonna pick you up. You live upstairs right?” He asked and in the back of your mind you wondered how he knew that. But thoughts left your mind as strong arms wrapped underneath your legs and behind your back. Your heart rate was slowing, and your panic attack subsiding, so when he asked you which way the stairs were you were able to answer. His strong body carried yours up the stairs and into the studio apartment you resided in, slowing as he crossed the threshold.
“I’m okay to stand. You can put me down.” You told him, but he seemed hesitant and you swore he clutched you even tighter to his body. “Really, Stranger, I’m okay.” You said, smiling up at his kindness.
“Logan.” He whispered as he lowered your legs onto the ground, arm staying around the small of your back until he was sure you were okay on your own two feet.
“What?” You asked, not sure of what he said.
“Logan. My names Logan.” He repeated, fingers digging into the exposed flesh of your hip, biting slightly.
“Okay, Logan. It’s nice to not refer to you as Stranger in my mind.” You giggled. You stepped reluctantly away from his embrace, heading towards your ‘kitchen’. “Would you like a drink, Logan? All I have is beer and water.”
You heard him clear his throat and when you looked at him, he looked like he was warring with himself.
“Uhh, ya, sure Kid. Bear. I’ll have a beer.” He said and for the first time since you’d met him, there was a twinge of uncertainty in his voice. You popped the top on two, handing him one before heading to the small couch you had, a mere 10 feet from your bed. He followed, sitting next to you and doing his best to make sure he wasn’t touching you, but the area was so small that your knees touched anyways.
“So that was my ex. He was stupid enough to try and get physical with me once. Sally threatened him with a shotgun. I didn’t think he would be stupid enough to try it twice.” You tried to explain without going into the entire sordid story.
“I’m going to tear him in half.” He answered, taking a long pull of his beer and you felt ashamed at what the dominance in his voice did to your lady bits.
“I don’t think he’ll be stupid enough to try this again so hopefully I don’t ever have to worry about him again.” You assured your stranger.
“Logan.” You mused aloud, a small smile crossing your face.
“Ya, Bear?” He answered, thinking you were going to ask him a question.
“It’s such a normal name.” You snickered.
“What’s wrong with my name?” He asked, faux defensiveness in his voice at your teasing.
“I’ve wondered for WEEKS what your name was and it’s Logan. It’s so normal. It suits you though. I like it.” You smiled at him, hitching one knee up on the couch and turning your torso towards him.
“I’ll be comin’ by more often and stayin’ until the bar is locked down. Just to make sure that moron doesn’t come back.” He told you, venom in his tone, but in a way that had you suppressing a shiver. You wondered what he sounded like first thing in the morning, his voice filled with sleep. “What’re you thinkin’’ about, Bear?” He asked, almost knowing your thoughts. You flushed, embarrassed to be caught in your thoughts.
“Nothing, just how you manhandled him. I think you humbled him.” You lied through your teeth, hoping he wouldn’t realize you were thinking about HIM manhandling you.
“He’s a lightweight. Pushin’ people around that are smaller than him.” He told you, eyes skimming over you. You heated at his gaze and wondered to yourself how long it had been since you’d gotten laid. When you couldn’t remember immediately you’d decided it had been too long. “People like him always need to be manhandled, otherwise they don’t learn their lessons,” You glanced at his beer, bartender habit, and stood to get him another. Yours was still half full, so you only popped the top off of one and brought it back to him. You felt his eyes glued to your frame as you walked and tried not to let it go to your head.
“You didn’t have to do that.” He told you, even though he took the beer from your hands when you stretched it out to him.
“Thank you Logan. I don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t been there. How did you know I lived upstairs though?” You asked, the memory hitting you quick.
“I’ve heard you speak to the woman about rent. Sally? And I’ve stayed after a few times when I come by to make sure you get to your car, and you never come out of the building. The lights go out though.” He told you, unashamedly. You were struck by the kindness of this stranger. He was looking out for you and you hadn't even known. He watched out for you and all you'd ever offered him was a warm smile and a cold beer. Your breath hitched in your throat as you muttered out a small thank you to him, but he simply shrugged and took a long pull.
"I don't know how to thank you." You admitted to him but he waved you off.
"Don't worry about it, kid." He said, finishing his beer. You decided it was better off to just thank him in a different way, probably with free booze. You decided in that moment that this man would never pay for another drink in the bar again, and you felt that Sally would agree. You would speak with her about it first thing in the morning, after you filed a restraining order.

BITTERSWEET Logan Howlett x Reader (6.9k words)
SUMMARY | You were on a mission, Stryker got you and Logan, making you forget everything about him. You woke up in the Med Bay of the X-Mansion, not knowing what happened. NOTES | I cried writing this shit, you guys better enjoy. Also, I listened to Cry from Cigarettes After Sex and K. from Cigarettes After Sex in loop to write. WARNINGS/TAGS | Angst! Loose of memories, comforting, fluff! Logan, F! Reader, intimacy, deep talking, explicit words, amnesia. RATING | + Teen
Being the girlfriend of Logan Howlett was a hard thing sometimes. Specially when that involves being an X-Men too. But something happened in the last mission, Stryker got you and messed up with your memories. You lost everything about Logan. You just remember being a mutant and living on the X-Mansion. Nothing about him, not even his name.
As soon your eyes dart open, your mouth feels dry. You frown to yourself as you mumble, tossing.
"Where— ?"
A man that was sitting on a chair by your side wide his eyes to you as he heard you mumbling. He looked relieved.
"Rise and shine, sleepyhead.”
You wide your eyes too, sitting on the bed quickly.
"Who are you?"
He groans annoyedly. He thought that you remembered him, but obviously that wasn't the case. He had dark hair, styled on a beast form. His eyes were hazel, and he was wearing a button black shirt and a leather jacket. He had something comforting about him that you couldn’t quite put your finger on.
"Logan, or you used to call me Wolvie. Does that ring any bells?"
You rub your head, frowning.
"Listen, love. I probably drinked with you last night and we probably did things, but that was not me." Everything was looking very confusing. What the hell you did last night?
The man groans and facepalms. Great. You don't even remember him. It was like talking to a whole new person. But it was better having you this way than not having you.
"You're telling me that you don't remember me at all? Even a little bit?"
"Is not personal, the alcohol do these things." The calmness on your voice was a bit annoying as you reach the glass of water nearby and gulp.
He groans again. This time even louder.
"It is kinda personal though! I mean, don't you think it's bad that you don't remember me? We used to be in love, y'know! It's not like we just randomly hooked up or something.” Uh-oh.
You stop gulping, confused.
"I-" But nothing more cames out.
He rolls his eyes before looking at you
"Yeah, you heard me. We were in love. Well, until Stryker got us and erased your memories.” He sigh as he rub his head. “Damnit.”
"I don't know what you're talking about." You shake your head as you reach your shoes from the floor, putting them.
But a hand grab your wrist as you attempt to walk out of the room.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"Home?"
In fact, you didn't know were you’re going. His grip on your wrist getting tighter but not to the point where it hurts you.
"Like hell you're going home. Not when I just got you back. This is your home." His voice was rough.
"I—" You look around, your eyes recognizing the familiar walls. The X-Mansion.
He doesn't let go of you and instead moves in closer to you. To the point where your bodies were almost pressed together.
"Just... look into my eyes, please?"
"How do I know you were my boyfriend? Say something about me, quick." You threat him, narrowing your eyes.
He groans again. Great. You were being difficult. He moves even closer, to the point where his chest was against yours. You could feel the heat irradiating of his body.
"Alright, let's see. You're stubborn, hot headed, and you like country music." Fuck. He knew you, at least a bit.
Your legs tangled on each other as you walk back, in shock. But he moves quickly and catches you before you can fall. He then pulls you even closer to his chest.
"See? Told you that you're stubborn. You nearly fell on your ass and you still tried to get away from me.” He hisses, the eyes throwing daggers on yours.
"This is not happening."
He chuckles slightly seeing how confused and flustered you were. But the chuckle has no humor at all.
"I beg to differ, darlin'. This is happening and you can't change that.”
"Tell me more." You pull away from him, crossing your arms. You needed answers.
He groaned again. You had to be so damn stubborn about everything, even when your memory didn't work right. But that was his girl, she was there, even not remembering him.
"What do you want me to tell you about? I can go on and on about the past and how much of a little minx you are.” His tone was annoyed.
"Say anything." You put your head in your hands as you sit on the bed. He sighs and thinks for a few seconds.
"Let's see. You have a weakness for coffee, you can't take a damn shower on normal temperature— always lava, and you can never go a day without wearing black or red nail polish."
He could hear your cursing under your breath in surprise. He smirks slightly and moves to sit right next to you on the bed.
"You really don't remember anything huh? Not a single thing that I've just said rings a bell?”
"No." Your voice cracked. But that things made sense to you, sounded like you— somehow.
His smirk falters a bit when he hears your voice crack. He wasn't expecting that. He gently puts his hand on your shoulder.
"Hey, hey, look at me.”
But you can’t. You keep your head between your hands as you feel the tears hitting the floor. He gently grabs your hands and moves them away from your face, forcing you to look at him.
"Hey, sugar? Why are you crying?"
"Because I don't have any idea who are you and you know me." You didn't remembered him, but the empathy was boiling in your blood. His expression softens when he sees the tears in your eyes. He knew how tough you were. Seeing you crying like this was very rare.
"Oh, hey. Don't cry, please. I promise that you'll remember me someday. You just have to give it time.” He pats your back in a soothing manner. But you keep your eyes shut, almost thinking that this is a nightmare and you need to wake up. Wake up, come on. You say to yourself.
He wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you even closer to him. He rests his chin on top of your head.
"And if you have no recollection of anything, I'll tell and remind you just how much I love you. I promise you that.”
You don’t touch him back, but he can’t blame you— you don’t remember him. You could hear he groaning in annoyance again when you don't reciprocate. He knew that you just didn't remember, but dammit it hurt like hell.
"C'mon. Gimme some kinda response. You're being too quiet.”
"I need time." The way your voice sounded nasal broke something inside him.
But he just sighs and nods. That was... fair. You did lose your memories after all. But he wanted you to remember him so damn badly. He wanted to beat himself for letting Stryker put his hands on you. That was his damn fault.
"I know, I know. You take all the time you need. I'll be right here waiting.”
"Tell me about you." You pull away to look at him. This was a good start, right?
He leans back slightly. His eyes dart to some place behind you, thinking.
"What do you want to know? About how grumpy I am in the morning? About the fact that I drink about 8 cups of coffee per day and whiskey when you’re not watching? About the fact I love riding my motorcycle or where I hide my Cuban cigarettes? There's a lot to tell, sweetheart.” He say with a shy grin, trying to stole a laugh of you. And did worked, you chuckled.
"How we met?" You sniffed, tugging your hair behind your ear.
His annoyance from earlier subsided a bit and was replaced with a more gentle expression, a small hint of a smile showing on his lips.
"Ah, you asking the tough questions huh? Hm, let me think. It was about three years ago. You joined the X-Mansion and I— I couldn't get my eyes off you since that day." He paused painfully.
"Really? I wasn't scared by your... personality?" Your arched your brows. Now it was your turn to make him laugh. And worked— he chuckled as he rolls his eyes.
"You? Scared of my rough and grumpy personality? I doubt that. If anything, I think you liked the fact that I was grumpy so you could tease me."
You nod in silence, smiling a bit.
"I'm guessing that you're starting to believe me a bit, huh? About me being your boyfriend?" There was hope in his rough voice.
"It's still confused, but I don't doubt of you."
He looks at you with a soft expression, his thumb gently caressing your knee. He had missed you so much, and now that you were back, even if you don't remember him, he wasn't going to waste this opportunity.
"It is a little confusing, huh? But that's alright. You're here and you're safe, and that's what matters to me right now." The tenderness on his voice was killing you inside. You wanted to remember him so bad.
"What if I don't remember?" Your thoughts echoed. "The relationship —I mean."
And he groans again. You knew exactly where to hit him to make him worry. That damn stubborn attitude of yours was as infuriating as endearing.
"Then we just go from zero. I'll just make you fall in love with me again.” His voice was deadly serious.
"What if I don't fall in love with you again?" You retorted quickly.
You received a glare when you retort and a groan in annoyance. You were being intentionally difficult just to piss him off. It always worked and he hated it, but he also loved it. It was that personality of yours that made him fall in love with you —in the first place.
"What, are you saying that I don't have the charm and skill to win your heart twice? Because I do, damnit."
He made you chuckle again. You were loosing it.
"You need to be patient with me, you know?"
He rolls his eyes and nods, but underneath he was mentally cursing at himself. Patience was not exactly his strongest point.
"Yeah, I know, I know. Patience is key right?"
Your shrug, nodding.
"Yeah." You squirm your eyes to him, trying to remember a thing.
He studies your face for a bit, watching how you look up and down his face, inspecting it intently. A small part of him hoped that the sight of his face would be enough for you to magically remember him and all the memories the two of you shared. But deep down he knew that it would be a lot more work than that, it wouldn't be that simple, and that you wouldn't remember him that easy. It was never that easy.
"Tell me more about you." You try to disguise your lack of memories with a random topic. "What do you want for your future?"
He relaxes his shoulders a bit, he expected another difficult question from you, but he was pleasantly surprised that you were starting to cooperate with him. He takes a deep breath before answering your question.
"Future, huh? I've never really thought much about it. I just want a peaceful future. A future with you.” He lock his eyes on you. “I want the both of us to go somewhere and live quiet lives, away from all the bullshit and fights." You nod quietly. So he was an mutant too, maybe an X-Men.
"You're a mutant too."
He grins at you.
"Yeah, I am. And I'm damn good at fighting." He chuckles as he shows you his claws.
"Nice claws." You grin, admiring the sharpy metallic claws.
"More than just nice. They come in handy in a fight.”
"Okay, so." I pause as I look at you. "What do you do in your free time?"
He sighs, rubbing his hands on his jeans— of course you'd ask him that kind of question.
"Why do you want to know? Trying to figure out if I have any weird or kinky hobbies?"
"Maybe." You say, understanding why you felt in love with him. He was very careful with you, lightening the mood when you needed it, being patient even though you felt that this was not a strong trait of his personality. He knew where the conversation was about to go, and he knew that he wouldn't be able to lie to you if it did.
"If you must know, I usually drive around on my motorcycle, and when I'm not doing that, I'm in the training room punching things.” He show his knuckles to you. But they don’t have a bruise.
"And..." You carefully lift your eyes to his. "With me? I mean, what we were used to do?"
He grins slightly and raises an eyebrow at you, his mind wandering elsewhere. He glances you up and down, thinking if he will say or not.
"Well, we didn't really do much talking when we were together.”
"Oh." You wide your eyes in surprise. "So we’re that kind of couple."
He smirks as he looks into your eyes, his expression almost amused.
"Oh, you have no idea."
You laugh, avoiding looking at him.
"Jesus."
He chuckles, seeing your reaction. You looked embarrassed, flustered and shocked at the same time. He found it adorable.
"Told you that we weren't exactly 'conversation-friendly'”
"But we— in the Mansion?" Your smile drops and change into a concerned face.
He knew what you were insinuating. He had a feeling that it was coming.
"Yeah, in the mansion. You have no idea how many times we almost got caught.” He sighs, crossing his arms on his chest.
"Oh my God, but—" You suddenly feel embarrassed by your past version.
He chuckles and shakes his head at your reaction. He actually found it cute how flustered you got right now.
"Calm down, relax. No one ever caught us, if that's what worrying you."
You let a sigh of relief escape.
"And we date for how long?"
He takes a deep breath and thinks for a moment. He couldn't believe that you didn't remember this. Three years was a long time to just forget. He couldn't imagine how awful it must be to just not remember the three years.
"About... three years. We got together three years ago.”
"Oh." Your heart dropped. "I'm sorry."
He groans again. Why the hell were you apologizing? This wasn't your damn fault.
"You have nothing to apologize for. You have no control over the fact that you don't remember anything.”
"How I lost my memory?" You felt more secure to ask that now.
He groans again, groaning a lot today apparently. This was a touchy subject for both of you. Just thinking about what you went through makes his heart hurt. He tries to be calm as he answers your question.
"Do you remember a man called 'Stryker'?" He says the name in a disgust you never saw before.
"No."
He nods. He thought that would be the answer even before he asked you that question.
"Yeah, I figured. Anyway, he's a mutant-hating doctor. He's in charge of a mutant... elimination group. He took us a few months ago. Wanted to use us for his own personal gain.”
"And?" You encourage him to keep going.
He sighs and rubs a hand across his face before continuing his story.
"They took us a while back. Stuck us in separate cells and didn't tell us Jack-shit about what was going on. But before that, they injected us both with a serum that would... erase our memories. The next thing I remember was waking up in the X-Jet and you unconscious by my side.”
You nod silently, trying to remember. You frown to yourself.
He watches as you try to force your mind to try and remember the past. It frustrated him to see you frown like that. He hated seeing you like that. God— if he could, he would lost his memories too to keep you in company.
"Don't push it. You'll just end up giving yourself a headache.”
"Can you say more about us?" Your eyes are a bit glassy and you feel your throat sore.
He nods and takes a deep breath before answering you, trying to ignore your glassy eyes. You were holding back your emotions, that much he could tell, and he absolutely hated it.
"I... I don't even know where to start. So much has happened between us in the past three years. You and I... we share something that's pretty special, darling. I've never felt about anyone the way I feel about you— and I don't think I ever will.”
You nod, holding a sob for not remembering. You wanted to beat you up, throw yourself and the floor and scream. He watches as you try to keep yourself together. He wanted to give you space to process everything, but seeing you like that was absolutely killing him. It takes every ounce of his control not to move closer to you and pull you into his arms.
"We have the same room?" You were trying to distract yourself. In fact, his voice was soothing.
He nods, smiling slightly at you. He was grateful that you were trying to change the subject. He didn't really want to talk in-depth about the past. Not when it was hurting you like that.
"We do, yeah. I like having you close by. You give me less reasons to go looking for you when I'm bored.”
You hug your legs, nodding. Logan sighs as his heart tightens a bit seeing you hugging your legs like that. You looked so insecure and so unlike your usual confident and tough self. It kills him to see you like that— broken.
"Can I sit next you?" He asks, his voice uncharacteristically gentle. It was odd asking you permission to a thing he would do so naturally.
You lift your eyes to his, thinking for some seconds before nodding. You shift to give him more room on the tiny bed of the Med Bay. He smiles slightly at your nod and moves closer to you, sitting right next to you. He makes sure to leave a small space between you so you don't feel smothered.
"Thank you." He says gently as he looks at you. The way he looks at you is almost painful, he looks exhausted.
"What time is it?" You furrow your brows.
He glances over at the wall clock. It was getting pretty late into the evening.
"About... nine pm. Why?"
"You can go rest on your room." You nod, reassuring. "You don't need to be with me all the time."
He groans and rolls his eyes. Resting was that last thing on his mind right now. There was absolutely no way in hell that he would leave you alone here.
"Yeah, I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying right here by your side in this damn room.” His strong genius was something else. In the same way he needed to be patient with you, you needed to be patient with him.
"Why?" You say in a frown. "You need to rest. How long you've sleeping here waiting for me to wake up?"
He sighs when you ask him that question. That was something he did not want to talk about right now. He didn't want you worrying about him. It felt wrong. His eyes leaves your face before speaking up.
"About four damn days. I— I refused to leaver this room at all. I didn't want to miss the moment you woke up.”
"Oh God." Your heart sinks as you look at him. You put your hand on his. "You need to rest."
He groans in annoyance again, but he secretly loves the feeling of your hand on top of his. It felt electrifying.
"I'm fine. I don't need to rest, I can go a few more days without sleeping.”
"Logan..." Your eyes snap. His name. You said his name without him remembering you.
His eyes widen slightly at the sound of you saying his name. It was the first time since you lost your memories that you said his name without him having to tell you first. He looks at you intensely and studies your pretty face.
"I—" You frown, worried that may not be his name by his reaction. "Is that your name, right?"
He nods, feeling a mix of emotions. Relief, love, happiness, sadness, worry, fear. Seeing you struggling to remember things, even his name, was killing him.
"That's my name, darlin'. Good job.”
"Me on the past probably said your name a lot of times for this to happen." You chuckle, looking down. He laughs slightly at your comment.
"Yeah, you said my name quite frequently. In a multitude of ways.” He had that lazy charming grin tugging on his lips.
Your jaw drops as you realize.
"Ew, I don't need details."
He laughs again and rolls his eyes. There's the sarcasm and witty comeback that were so uniquely "you".
"Why not? Afraid you may like it if I tell you the details? Because I can tell you.” He arch one of his brows, ready to say it.
"Say it." Suddenly you dare him, looking at his eyes.
He groans and grins. You were actually daring him to tell you about the naughty stuff? Goddamn, he loved you so much. He looks right into your eyes and says, his tone lower and huskier than usual.
"Are you sure you want me to tell you about all the ways you've said my name before?"
"Yeah. Why, scared?" You tease back, almost eagerly.
He chuckles again, loving the fact that you were starting to act more and more like your old self.
"Not in the slightest. Just checking. I just don't you to feel 'overwhelmed' by the details.”
"Go ahead." You say as you shift your seat, anxious.
He laughs and grins at your anxiousness. He's been holding back for the last few days and now that you were giving him the green light to say and talk about the things on his mind, damn right he wasn't going to hold back even for a second.
"Whenever you said my name, it was never just my name. It was always 'oh Logan' or 'oh God, Logan' or my personal favorite; 'oh Logan, yes, please', or 'please, Logan, yes.'"
"Shut up!" You wide your eyes as you laugh, tapping his mouth with yours hands before someone can hear it. He laughs under your hands.
"Hey" He mumbles against your hand. "You asked for details. Now you get to deal with them.”
"Jesus." Your jaw are dropped as you laugh, removing your hand of his lips.
He grins and grins even wider as he hears you laughing again. You have no idea how much he loved that sound. It was almost like music to his ears.
"You know that's not even the half of it, right?"
"Oh God." You burst in laughs, shaking your head. "There’s more?!"
He laughs as he watches you crack up and nods. Oh yeah, there was definitely more where that came from.
"Oh yeah, a whole lot more. I could go on for hours talking about the ways you say my name."
"You're terrible." You say as you tap his mouth again before he would say anything else.
He grins and chuckles again, loving the way you're playing with him. He can feel your fingers right against his lips. He really wants to grab your hand and kiss the palm of it.
"I'm terrible? You're the one who insisted on knowing all the details."
You low your hand as you shift on your knees to have a better look on him.
"You can give me more?" You asked so shy, feeling a bit eager. That memories seems to be so precious.
He looks at you and immediately feels his insides melt as you get on your knees to look at him. God, you were adorable. He tries to sound serious when he answers your question.
"Of course I can.”
"Can you say some details of me and you?" You sit on your legs to listen to him.
He thinks about your question for a moment. What kinds of details did you want to know? Before he starts, he moves a bit closer to you so your knee is almost touching his thigh.
"Sure." He says as he looks at you. "What kind of details we talking about? First date, our first time, when we first confessed to each other?"
"Everything. Start with the first date." You grin just like a teenager receiving gossip.
He laughs at your reaction. You were acting like a little kid listening to a very interesting story. You were absolutely adorable. He had to fight the urge to pull you into his lap and snuggle you close.
"The first date, huh. Alright" He grins back at you, arching his brows as he quickly lick his lips. "Well, it all started when you agreed to go on a date with me in the first place. You were being all snarky, of course. Didn't want to go at first.”
"Ha." You roll your eyes. "So, how did you convinced me?"
He laughs as he thinks back to the memory of the first time he tried to ask you out. You didn't make it easy for him at all.
"Well, like I said, you didn't want to go on a date with me at all." He says grinning "You thought I was a pain in the ass.”
You let a laugh escape, listening to him.
He grins again, loving the sound of you laughing. He takes you back to that first date as he continues to speak.
"I had to beg, and pretty much pester you for like an entire week before you finally said yes to go on a date with me.”
"And the date was good or a completely mess?" You sit at his side again, leaning on the headboard.
He laughs as he feels your body sitting right next to his. He can feel the heat of your body so damn close to his.
"Oh, god no, it was a complete mess. I'll admit it to you right now, that was the most awkward date I've ever had in my life.”
"Oh." You rub your face painfully. "What happened?"
He laughs again as he remembers just how awkward that date was.
"Everything, basically. I was so damn nervous, you were so damn quiet, we basically sat almost in complete silence for the entire date.”
"Jesus." You shake your head, surprised. "How did— how did you kept interested on me?"
He laughed again. He has no idea how he managed to keep his interest on you after that horrible date.
"Honestly, I still can't answer that question" He sighs before shaking his head and continuing. His eyelashes brushed his cheek softly as he blinks. "I just... just something about you kept me interested, despite how absolutely damn awkward our first date was."
"Okay," You nod, taking mental notes. "How about... our first time?"
He glances at you and sighs. Seeing your eyes on him, looking at him with anticipation, it made his heart beat just a little bit faster and his mind go a little more fuzzy.
"You want the details on that one, too, huh?"
"Please." You nod, keeping your eyes on his.
He chuckles and rubs the back of his neck as he prepares to tell you about your first ever time together as a couple. He can feel his face heating up, it's almost a little embarrassing to talk about the intimate details of that day.
"Alright, the first time, huh" He says as he looks at you. "You were... really nervous about it, which, honestly, caught me a little off guard, considering how you were usually so confident about everything.” He frowns a bit.
"Yeah?" You asked curiously. "And— what happened?"
He laughs softly as he remembers the events of that night. As awkward as it was at first, it was still one of his best memories.
"We— well, it was pretty rocky and awkward at first. We weren't exactly, um, communicating well at the time. But then we just... things, I suppose you could say. We started really getting into it, and by the end, we both had a damn good time.” He grins at you in a tender manner.
"So you managed to get me comfortable." You could feel your heart getting warmer.
He smiles slightly at you. Yeah, he managed to get you comfortable. He managed to get you to lower your guard.
"Yeah. I managed to get you to relax enough to enjoy what we were doing." His eye flutter, remembering.
"And our confessing? How was that? When happened?" You say as you lean on him, unconsciously.
He grins at your question. God, that was almost as nerve-racking as the first date. It took him a ridiculously long time work up the courage to confess to you for the first time.
"God, it took me forever to work up the courage to confess to you and to tell you I had feelings for you.” He chuckles, rubbing his face.
"Tell me, please." You plead, completely taken by his memories. "Details." He sighs and groans slightly as you demand the details from him. It's almost like you're making him go back through all those stressful moments again.
"Fine, I'll tell you the details." He says, feigning annoyance. "It was the middle of the damn night. We were on that damn jet after a mission, and I waited until you were completely alone to corner you and tell you how I felt."
"You waited after a mission to confess at the X-Jet?" You frown a bit. That shit must be funny as hell.
He laughs slightly at your reaction, nodding to confirm your statement.
"Yeah, I waited until after a mission. I wanted to make sure you were alone and you had enough time to relax before I approached you about it. I was worried you were going to kick my ass or something."
"This is the worst time ever." You, chuckling. "And what did I said?"
He grins again and laughs, agreeing with you. It was probably the worst time to pick to confess to someone.
"You thought I was making a bad joke at first. You weren't even taking me seriously when I told you I was being serious. So, I had to try and convince you that I was being completely serious about my feelings for you."
"How did you convinced me?" You were enjoying this conversation —and silently loving hearing his voice talking nonstop.
He grins again, loving the way you look so interested in what he has to say. It gives him the courage to continue to tell you every single little detail he can remember from the night he confessed to you.
"I told you that I had been feeling that way for a really long time. That it wasn't some random, stupid joke. I had to literally sit you down and convince you that I felt that way about you. It took a really long time to persuade you to believe me."
"And what I said later? I kicked you?" You frown, curious.
He laughs softly and grins.
"No, sugar. You didn't kick me. You were still a little stunned and confused, but I saw how— how your eyes suddenly flared up as soon as you finally understood what I was saying. There was no way I was going to let you run away when you were looking at me like that"
"Looking how?" You keep your eyes on his, it was impossible to look away. That hazel eyes burned on yours in a way your mind couldn't ratiocinate.
He looks into your eyes intently as he thinks about how you reacted that night. He remembers your eyes looking at him with shock, confusion, excitement, surprise, and then a flare of intense heat.
"Like you didn't want me to stop talking. Like you wanted me to keep going and keep explaining myself. Your eyes were flared up, and you were looking at me with so damn much heat in your gaze that I almost pounced right on you right then and there."
You could feel your heart bumping as he talks.
He returns your intense gaze, feeling drawn to you. Just like that night, he feels the urge to pount on you again and just take you, right here and right now. But he holds back, for now. He still had plenty of details to tell you about. And yet— you need time and space.
"I swear, you were looking at me like you wanted to devour me."
You grin to him, keeping the eye contact.
"Do you— do you believe in soulmates?" The way his presence would absolve all the ambiance, God, that wasn’t normal.
He grins back, loving the way you keep looking at him. Damnit, he could look into your eyes for hours.
"I... I don't know if I buy into the whole 'soulmate' thing.” He says jokingly. "I wasn't sure I could ever have a soulmates until the moment I met you."
"It's so weird." You narrow your eyes, putting your hand on your chest. "I don't remember a thing, but I feel so comfortable with you."
He smiles and sighs. Yeah, it was a bit weird. You don't remember anything about him or your life together. But he's happy at the fact that you're feeling comfortable around him.
"Don't overthink it.”. He says softly. "Maybe the mind forgets, but the body and the heart never does."
You melt under his words, wanting to beat yourself for forgetting. How could him be so charming?
He keep his eyes on you, loving the way you look right now. Like you're absolutely smitten by him right now. He really does wonder sometimes how his tongue manages to be so silver. It's gotten him into plenty of trouble over the years, but right now, he's so very happy with how it's working for him.
"And what is your favorite memory?" You don’t want to pull away from his hazel eyes.
His smile softens as he immediately thinks of his favorite memory with you. There were plenty of moments and memories he loved, but one in particular stuck out, even among his favorites.
"My favorite memory, huh?”
He looks into your own eyes as he grins again and sighs softly, thinking about his most favorite memory of the two of you together.
"My favorite memory was the day you told me you loved me back for the first time."
"Can you tell me about this one?" You plead, even worrying about asking him too much.
He smiles and chuckles, immediately thinking about that moment, one of his all time favorite moments of his life.
"Of course. I can tell you all about it." He says softly as he lets himself become immersed in that specific memory. "It wasn't some big and elaborate moment, to be honest. It was just the two of us in the living room, just relaxing together. I was just talking, babbling about some trivial stuff that happened when I was away on a mission. I made some joke about something, and you just— just looked at me with that sweet little smile and said."
You keep silent, feeling a bit emotional.
"Thank you for having patience with me. I know I can't stop throwing questions on you."
He laughs softly and grins, shrugging his shoulders. He honestly doesn't mind it at all. He gets to talk about his memories with you and seeing the wonder in your eyes as you listen to his stories. That's all the incentive he needs.
"Don't worry about it. You can ask as much questions as you want. I ain't going anywhere."
You gulp some tears. You glance away, feeling your heart clenching.
"I just—" You pause, gulping a sob. "I'm just feeling so cared right now, I’m sorry."
He immediately notices how distressed you sound and how your face is starting to crumble. He immediately feels the need to comfort you. To make sure you're okay.
"Hey, hey it's alright.” He says soothingly as he moves closer to you. His smell filling your nostrils— pine, musk, cigarettes, leather. "Hey, there's nothing to be sorry about, alright? Don't cry, cmon."
You chuckle at his worried face, trying to pull the tears away.
He watches as you try to hold back your tears, feeling the need to reassure you. He wants to wrap you up in a tight hug and soothe you, but he's not sure if it would be alright to make a move like that at the moment.
"Hey, listen." He says. "you don't have to apologize for anything, alright? Don't let these damn tears fall."
You look at him with the tears already falling.
"Too late." You smile to him.
He groans to himself as he sees your tears fall. He can hear the wavering in your voice as you struggle to speak, and it's making him really want to just pull you close and hold you close to him to stop your tears.
"Dammit... don't do that, okay? Don't cry like that" he tries to sound stern, but it's a useless effort. He just sounds concerned for you now.
"I feel lucky to have you, even If I don't remember a thing." Your voice cracked.
His heart squeezes when he hears your voice crack. You sound so— so distraught right now, and hearing you like that is not sitting well with him at all.
"Hey, don't talk like that, love." He says as he gently puts a hand on your shoulder. "I'm the lucky one here. I'm the luckiest man in the damn world right now."
"For what? Having a girlfriend with amnesia?" You whisper with sad eyes, you almost laughed without humor, almost.
He frowns, feeling himself getting a bit angry at your words. How dare you think he's unhappy about you losing your memories. It's certainly not ideal, but he won't let you talk like that about yourself.
"Just shut up, alright?" He says firmly. "So what if you can't remember any damn thing? I still love you. I don't care if you remember me or not, I still love you.” He says as he holds you by your shoulders.
You wide your eyes, looking at him. The way you look at him just like that day, the day that he confessed. The same burning way. He could feel his guts twisting. You look like he's the most precious thing in the world to you, just like you did the night he confessed to you. It reminds him of that night. Makes his heart beat a little bit faster as a smile slowly appears on his face.
"Darlin..." He says in a low, soft tone.
"Yes?" You whisper, wiping a tear.
He sees your face, the tears staining your cheeks. He wants to hold you so damn badly. He wants to pull you tight against his body and whisper sweet things against your ear, promising to take care of you and never let you get hurt again.
"Come here for a second." He ask, opening his body language to you.
You reach him, laying your face on his chest as you embrace his waist. You could feel the warmth of his body comforting you. He grins again as you immediately move so close to him. He can feel your soft, slender arms wrapping around his waist and your face burying into his chest. He feels his heart skip a beat as he realizes that you're willingly getting closer to him and wrapping yourself around him.
"Shhh... it's alright. I got you" He soothes as he wraps his arms around your body and pulls you flush against his chest.
You close your eyes, and for one second— you felt like in home.
He rests his chin on the top of your head, holding you tight. The feeling of your body pressing against him is one of the best feelings in the world. You feel so small in his embrace, he wants nothing more than to keep holding you close to him, to keep you safe in his arms and to never let you get hurt ever again.
"Close your eyes.” He whispers. "Just listen to my heartbeat and focus on that."
Logan can hear you sniffling again and feels the way your hands are tightly clutching at his shirt as you bury your face against his chest. He can hear the way your breathing is getting a little bit more heavy as you're desperately attempting to force your tears to stop.
"It's alright.” He whispers softly. "Just focus on my heartbeat, alright? Focus on that and nothing else. Just breathe and relax.”
He smiles to himself again, he can feel your heart slowing down as you start to focus on the sound of his heartbeat. He feels so damn happy having you in his arms like this. Being able to hold you and comfort you. He can't get enough of the way your body feels pressed up against his, and he knows he'll never get enough of this.
"There you go, good girl" He says, rubbing his hand up and down your back. "Just keep listening to my heartbeat."

It Kinda Makes Sense
Pairings: Alive!Luke Patterson x Alive!Reader
Summary: Los Feliz High School, the best school for future actors, singers, or any kind of artists. Home to the top couple formed by Luke Patterson, the perfect boy soon-to-be rockstar, and Y/N Y/L/N, troubled goth girl with the voice of an angel. A match make in heaven... or hell.
{ BASED ON VICTORIOUS’ JADE AND BECK }
| MASTERLIST |
If you asked Julie Molina what had been her first thought once she had stepped foot on Los Feliz she would say it had been... confusing.
The school was beautiful, with bright blue lockers decorated in unbelievable ways to adolescents dressed as bright blue bobcats. It was truly a sight.
The other thing that was a sight was the group of students that captured most of the other teenagers’ attention. Especially two teens who happened to be having what appeared to be a screaming battle. Screaming battle that ended once ice e/c eyes found Julie’s across the hallway.
“Lost something, shorty?” The unknown girl snaps, “MIND YOUR BUSINESS!”
Her words had caused the boy she had previously been fighting with to sigh in shame before looking her way.
Julie’s breath got stuck in her throat.
The boy was beautiful. Scratch that, he was handsome. Untaimed brown hair with wild hazel —maybe green— eyes, the boy could be anyone’s dream boy.
“Y/N, could you not?”
Julie’s brown eyes move to the girl glaring daggers at her only to have her heart skip a beat. The girl —Y/N apparently— was breathtakingly beautiful. She had wavy h/c hair with some dark blue streaks that matched her skin color perfectly and powerful e/c eyes.
Said girl rolls her eyes before glaring at Julie once more before focusing once again on the pretty boy besides her.
“Fine. I won’t. But this conversation is over”
“We haven’t even had the conversation!” The boy argues back.
“And it’s over!”
The dark-dressed girl stomps off leaving the boy groaning in frustration. Julie taking that opportunity to check out the rest of the group.
With her back pressed to a locker decorated with different colorful fabrics stood a light brown haired girl —could be dark blonde— with brown eyes dressed in a beautiful pink dress and black heels to match. She seemed to be debating whether to follow her friend or staying still.
Besides her was a dark-haired boy with sky blue eyes standing out thanks to his pale skin. He was wearing a leather jacket on top of a white shirt, with a red flannel tied on his waist, and black jeans. His eyes glued to the floor.
Lastly, there was the blond boy with a pink hoodie and blue —sometimes green— eyes. He seemed to be pretty used to what had just happened.
The blond one is the one who noticed her still staring at them, offering a sweet smile before walking towards her and stretching his hand.
“Hi, I’m Alex. I’ve never seen you before”
She grabs his hand with a small smile, “Julie. I’m new”
Her name seems to snap the leather jacket boy from his trance, his bright blue eyes soon finding hers with a big smile adorning his features.
“You’re the girl that sang for Flynn on the school’s talent show! I’m Reggie”
Julie blushes as soon as he speaks, everyone’s eyes staring at her with realization and a little of awe.
“Flynn is my best friend, I just wanted to help her out”
“Well, it worked for you. You got a scholarship” pretty boy adds, “I’m Luke”
Julie cannot help the way her smile grows as soon as he smirks at her. He seriously had to be the most gorgeous boy she had ever seen.
The pretty light brown haired girl with the pink dress joins her friends in greeting her, Julie blushing under the vibrant smile she gives her.
“Hi! I’m Carrie”
Julie goes to grab her hand but the girl —Carrie— pulls her in for a hug. The gesture has Julie’s shoulders tensing, she hadn’t willingly hug anyone after her mother’s death a few months ago, but she soon forced herself to relax.
This was a new start. No pity stares or whispers directed at her.
“It’s nice to meet you guys”
After that meeting the curly-haired girl became a part of their weird group of friends. Soon learning that the beauty ice queen dressed in all black was Y/N Y/L/N, Los Feliz High School’s prodigy and Luke’s girlfriend.
It was no secret that the girl was talented, but she was as talented as scary. Julie hadn’t listened too much of everyone’s warnings, she was sure it was all because of how she dressed and acted and not at all for the kind of person she truly was.
Boy, was she wrong.
She learned that the hard way after getting a role on a play Y/N wanted. A role that played Luke’s romantic interest.
She had ended up one rehearsal with hot coffee thrown at her and icy e/c eyes glaring daggers at her with a sweet —fake— smile. Luke’s apologies were not enough to calm the humiliation Julie felt.
And even if the brown-haired latina wasn’t fond of vengeance, she couldn’t stop herself. And if she kissed Luke longer than necessary after sending a wink the goth girl’s way, it was a mere coincidence.
A coincidence that resulted in her having to watch her back every time she stepped on school’s property.
But things did get better with time and Julie and Y/N became kinda friends. At least enough for Y/N to tolerate Julie and for Julie to not be afraid to sit close to the scissors fanatic.
They were okay. As okay as someone could be with the girl who kissed the other’s boyfriend. But okay nevertheless.
But the more time she spent at the school and the closer she got to all of them, the more she doubted the health of Luke’s and Y/N’s relationship. Today being one of those days.
“What are you saying?!”
“I’m just saying, what kind of friend sends you eight messages in a lapse of five minutes?!”
As soon as the words leave the screaming girl’s mouth, Luke’s phone rings signaling the arrival of another text message making Y/N’s glare darken.
“Nine” she growls.
“You don’t even know if it’s from her!”
Y/N glares at him in disbelief, “Okay! Then prove me wrong!”
With a scoff, Luke gets his phone out before checking the recipient of the message only to let out a sigh that proves his girlfriend right.
“Nine?”
He nods in defeat, “Nine. B-but this is ridiculous! She is my FRIEND”
“How naive are you?!”
The couple fights for a couple more minutes before Luke’s gaze finds Julie in front of her butterfly and music doodles decorated locker. The rockstar grabbing his girl’s hand before tugging her towards the latina.
“Julie!”
Her brown eyes find the couple, widening when they see the coldness in Y/N’s eyes before trying to make a run for it.
She doesn’t make it far as Luke’s hand grabs a hold of her wrist keeping her in place.
“We need your help”
“No, we don’t” Y/N argues back.
“YES, we do”
Julie looks at her surroundings looking for a way to get out of there but finding nothing. Where was Alex when she needed him?
“Guys, I really don’t want to be in the middle of whatever this is”
She tries to leave but once again Luke pulls her back, “Too late. If you were my girlfriend—”
“HA! What a perfect way to start”
Luke glares at his girlfriend for the interruption before turning towards Julie once again, failing to notice how uncomfortable the situation was making the latina.
Somehow she was once again in between them, although this time it wasn’t her fault.
“If you were my girlfriend” he starts again, “Would it bother you if I was friends with Kayla?”
“Who cares what she thinks?” / “Honestly, it would”
Both girls speak simultaneously. Y/N’ eyes widening as soon as the Latina’s words register, grabbing a hold of the girl’s shoulders to keep her in place.
“I care what she says” Y/N smiles.
“I want to leave” Julie adds before trying to move only for Y/N’s hold to tighten.
“You stay” she barks.
The argument wasn’t unlike many others, Y/N’s temper wasn’t the best and that meant she sometimes got too jealous. It didn’t help that Luke Patterson didn’t know when to say no nor know the difference between friendly and flirty.
It was just another Luke and Y/N argument, nothing to worry about. Except it was different. Julie realized that as soon as Y/N let go of her and started walking away.
“We’re DONE”
The words had everyone in the hallway quiet down and stare at the ‘it’ couple. Eyes settled on Luke’s surprised reaction and Y/N’s tensed body.
“Come on” Luke voices “You’re being ridiculous”
“What do you care?!” She screams back before starting to leave, “You’re not my boyfriend anymore”
Word around the school traveled fast and soon girls were following Luke around begging for his attention, much to his annoyance.
On the other hand, every time a guy tried to get near Y/N she would turn her icy glare at them and have them running away in seconds.
It was a weird and new situation. Especially at lunch. It was weird seeing the former couple sitting on opposite sides of the table instead of at the side of the other with Luke’s arm resting on Y/N’s shoulders.
It was new territory to have Luke inevitably —as a habit— reach for Y/N only to have her snap at him to not touch her, just as she did to everyone else.
But that was what they had to deal with for two weeks.
Two weeks is how long it took for Y/N to ask Luke to take her back only to have him reject her. Two weeks that made Y/N go crying to Julie’s house, the only one of her friends —not really her friend— whose opinion mattered much less than the others.
“What are you doing in my house?” Is the first thing that Julie says as she sees the other girl.
Y/N gets into the house without waiting for an invitation before starting to sob, Julie standing there in panic as she sees the cold hearted teenager break down.
The latina tries to go for a hug only to be pushed back.
“I need your help”
A long talk later, Y/N convinced the Molina girl to help her get Luke back. Somehow, Julie had the fantastic idea that she had to change.
Y/N Y/L/N was a time bomb. Always ready to explode without a care on who she takes down. That had to change.
Julie realized then that the girl was truly in love with Luke. Y/N was letting her —Julie Molina— see her cry her eyes out just to ask for help to get him back. She was letting Julie give her a makeover just to get him back.
She was truly in love.
The next day at school everyone stared wide-eyed at the beauty that was Y/N Y/L/N in a colorful outfit and a wide smile —though it was a fake one—.
Everyone except Luke. The brunette boy stared at his former girlfriend with furrowed eyebrows not liking the change, his expression not changing even when Alex and Reggie complimented her.
He also couldn’t help the glares he sent any boy who came to flirt with her, his glares darkening every time she flirted back. This was not his girl and he knew whose fault it was.
His now dark green eyes find Julie’s proud smile across the hall and soon he stomps towards her, grabbing her by the arm before taking her to the janitor’s closet.
“What did you do to Y/N?”
Julie furrows her eyebrows in confusion as she sees the angry look the guitarist is giving her, but soon smirks as she confuses it with jealousy.
“What? Jealous of the attention she is receiving?”
“Actually, I’m mad that she is receiving the attention for dressing like a Barbie” he argues back, “That is not her, that is not the girl I love”
Julie’s eyes widen after the boy’s words before he storms off, leaving her with an unexpected knowledge.
The latina goes to look for Y/N as soon as she snaps out of her trance only to find said girl in the bathroom back in her black clothes while doing her dark eyeshadow.
“Wha—ho—I’m confused”
“Being nice sucks” she answers as she finishes her makeup, “Thanks for the help but, if I can be honest, I was better without it”
“Bu— and Luke?”
“If he ever wants to get back together it has to be with me, the real me. Not a version of me dressed in awfully ridiculous clothes”
“Those were my clothes”
“Exactly my point”
With that Y/N walks out of the bathroom ignoring the looks that followed her figure, leaving Julie once again at loss of words.
A week after, Luke and Y/N were back together and closer than ever. But the honeymoon phase faded and the fights started once again. But Julie learned to see the beauty in their arguments.
Every argument got Luke out of his perfectly peaceful demeanor and got him to voice his thoughts out more, it helped him stand up more for himself. And every argument showed the depth of Y/N’s feelings for the guitarist, it showed how much she cared.
It’s just that sometimes they didn’t know when to stop arguing.
Of course now Julie wasn’t blind to their little moments. The way Y/N always stopped when Luke asked her to or how Luke always kissed the girl’s temple sweetly.
Or how when Bobby —Sunset Curve’s (which was the boys’ band) rhythm guitarist (who she hadn’t met)— left the boys, it was Y/N who approached the curly-haired girl thinking she was the perfect fit for the remake of the band.
It was Y/N, who barely tolerated her, who adviced them to change the band’s name as they changed their sound slightly. Julie and the Phantoms, had been her idea after the boys ghosted the girls on the group chat.
Julie knew the only reason why Y/N had done that was because she knew how much the band meant to Luke.
She wasn’t blind to how Luke would only ever snap when it was to protect Y/N, even if he knew she was perfectly capable of doing it herself. Or how he always bought a hot chocolate with his coffee for her.
With time, Julie realized it kinda made sense why they were together even when she couldn’t quite completely understand it.
But soon the fights started again, this time worst than ever. It was different because instead of bickering until one gave in, neither seemed interested enough in fighting.
It worried all of them because their fights —as annoying as they sometimes were— showed how much each cared. Now it seemed they didn’t.
To be completely fair, Julie understood if anyone outside their group saw the relationship as toxic. She had seen it as toxic once. But it just made sense in a weird way. It just made sense for the kind of people they were, they complemented one another.
But this time the fights were just too much. That’s why when the traditional friend group game night happen, Y/N and Luke weren’t invited.
Carrie —Y/N’s undoubted best friend— was sick of fainting every time she got stuck in the middle, the innocent and kind girl couldn’t take the stress.
Reggie, the boyish teenager with the purest heart ever, didn’t want to cry anymore. He couldn’t handle the screaming and that’s all the couple did.
Alex, on the other hand, was tired of having to grab his asthma medicine every time they appeared. The fights making him get too anxious which always caused him a panic attack which led to his inability to breathe which led to an asthma attack.
No one could take it anymore.
So they decided to have an evening free of them, one well deserved. But it didn’t work as planned as the couple stormed into Julie’s home half an hour after everyone started playing Monopoly.
“See! Told you they’d be here”
Y/N rolls her eyes, “So? What does it matter if they’re at dumbass’ house?”
Julie rolls her eyes at the insult but nevertheless listens closely to the couple, all her friends groaning in annoyance at the interruption.
“It matters because our friends, our best friends, don’t want to be near us anymore!” He argues “Doesn’t this bother you?”
“Not really” she shrugs, “Should it? Wait... does it bother you?”
“It does! They’re our best friends and they can’t stand us”
Y/N crosses her arms across her chest before turning to glare at their friends, Carrie hiding under the table with a shriek as soon as she sees her best friend gaze at her.
Seeing the icy glare that the girl throws at them, Reggie shakily takes a deep breath before standing up and looking at them with annoyance.
“Yes! We can’t stand either of you!” He shouts, “We wanted a day free of you both because all you ever do is fight! And, somehow, you always seem to drag us to the middle of it. We’re tired!”
As soon as Reggie finishes, the dark-haired boy sits down with a huff. His shoulders feeling less tense as he let out his emotions.
The couple watched their best friends with mixed feelings, neither expecting the outburst and much less from Reggie. Reggie who had always been one to avoid conflict.
“I cannot believe this” Luke sighs “Reggie snapped at us. REGGIE”
“This is you fault!” She accuses “How hard is it to just agree with me?!”
“BUT I DON’T AGREE WITH YOU”
“BECAUSE YOU ARE WRONG”
The four friends sighed in defeat as they listened to the couple bicker once more with one another, how had a fun night turned to a nightmare all of a sudden?
They silently decided to just stay in their seats waiting for the couple to stop the nonsense as they always did.
“WHAT BOTHERS YOU SO MUCH?!”
“THAT I AM NOT HAPPY WITH OUR RELATIONSHIP!”
The words cut through Y/N’s strong façade in a second, the glare faltering as Luke’s eyes widen after realizing what he had said.
No one dared move nor say anything. Everyone had their eyes on the couple that seemed to be coming to terms with how bad the situation had become.
“Fine” she sighs in defeat “You have a choice. I’m walking out that door and counting to ten, if you’re not out before I finish we are DONE”
Luke sighs frustrated as he watches her leave, the door closing with a thud behind her.
“One”
He stays still on his place with his fists clenching as he fights the urge to run to her and scream at her what was the reason for this ultimatum.
“Two”
Luke knows he needs to calm down. He has to. He had to if he wanted to be able to go after her without fighting as soon as he saw her.
“Three”
Y/N counted behind the door, staring at it with nerves as she asks herself how he could take so long to come after her. What was taking him so long to decide that she was worth going after?
“Four”
The four friends behind Luke stare with wide eyes as they try to figure out what is it that the brunette is going to do.
They want him to go after her. Carrie, Reggie, and Alex more than Julie. The three best friends had been there throughout all the relationship. They had seen Luke be the only one brave enough to pursue the cruel beauty. They had seen Y/N being the only one that cared more about Luke’s heart than his looks.
They knew how much this relationship was worth. Even with all the fights, they knew the love the two had for one another was deeper than any outsider could understand at first sight.
He had to go after her.
“Five”
Luke sighs looking towards his friends once before deciding what he wants to do. He can’t lose her, no matter how much they fight.
No one understood him like she did. No one cared enough to tell him when he was wrong or to fight with him until he fought for what he wanted.
“Six”
Y/N feels her eyes widen as she realizes how much time he is taking. It should’ve been easy, he shouldn’t have even let her count to three.
He should’ve opened the door the second she closed it.
“Seven”
Sighing, Luke starts slowly making his way towards the door. His best friends sighing in relief as they see him do it.
Julie, though, watches closely as the boy’s shoulders tense the closer he gets.
“Eight”
Carrie furrows her eyebrows once she sees Luke starting to halt in his steps. She knew Y/N better than anyone, Y/N had been the only one willing to take the ‘obnoxious naive superstar’s daughter’ under her wing and be completely honest with her.
She knows better than anyone that if Luke lets her walk away just like her father let her mother walk away with her, that’ll break her.
“Nine”
Luke grabs a hold of the handle but for some reason he can’t bring himself to turn it and open the door.
Something feels wrong about opening it, almost as wrong as it feels to not open it.
He is scared of what it means if he opens it, or how easily he gives in. Something had to change. Maybe he needed to let her walk away, Y/N always came back. She would go to his house in the middle of the night and they would fix everything.
It would be okay, they would be okay. They always were. This was no difference, they just needed some time to think, to breathe.
So he doesn’t turn the knob.
“Ten”
Y/N feels her heart stop the moment she screams the last number. She feels her heart sink to her stomach as a feeling of abandonment settles in her.
She feels her skin pale and soon reaches for the knob, but she doesn’t allow herself to touch it. He made his choice.
So with every ounce of strength she could find within her, Y/N turns around and makes her way to her car knowing that he could catch a ride with Alex. The tears started accumulating in her e/c eyes but she didn’t let them fall.
Y/N Y/L/N didn’t cry. She wasn’t about to start... at least not in a place where someone could see her.
Inside the Molina’s household, the best friends stare at Luke in disbelief, neither knowing what to say or do now. The Patterson boy makes the decision for them.
“Let’s play some Monopoly”
The statement has everyone else following his movements in silence, knowing better than to act against him.
Carrie, though, is the one that finally breaks the silence as she lets out a quiet sob. She was angry, mainly at herself for not being able to go after her best friend. But she knew better. Y/N was a person who protected her feelings more than anything else, she was in pain and she wouldn’t let it out if someone was watching her. So Carrie had to stay on her seat even if she wanted to run after her.
“You hurt her” whispered the sweet teenager, “I trusted you, she trusted you, with her heart and you hurt it”
It was at that moment, with Carrie’s pretty brown eyes filled with tears as she glared at him with all her willpower, that Luke realized how wrong he had been. He thought it would be okay but Carrie’s reaction proved him wrong.
Carrie showed him that this time was different from the others. If the sweet girl willingly glared at him with so much betrayal than it meant that Y/N wasn’t gonna go to his house at midnight.
It meant he had lost her.
Still, as Luke realized that, he stayed on his seat staring intently at the fake money in his hands. He couldn’t change what he had done.
“Let’s start”
The following weeks were a pain for the group of friends. The group had to divide their time between the former couple and it was exhausting.
But things got better and after a couple of months Y/N and Luke started sitting at the same table with their friends once again. It brought some relief to the group.
The hurt from the breakup still pained them though. Y/N was not used to watching so many girls flirt with Luke and watching him flirt back, and Luke was not used to Y/N moving away from his touch while also enjoying the way some guys’ eyes linger on her figure.
Things had changed and it pained them both, but they were finally okay. As okay as they could be at least.
They still loved each other, but they became good at pretending. Soon three months became five and five became seven. And things were okay, they were friends again without any awkwardness surrounding the group.
Still, Julie was sure she wasn’t the only one who noticed the love they still had for the other. It was the little things. The way their eyes lingered on the other when they thought no one was looking, the smiles they faked to play the part; all signs of how much they still loved the other. Even after everything.
So it did come as a surprised when Y/N announced she had a date.
Apparently some senior that participated on the play with her had the balls to ask her out. And she said yes.
While everyone congratulated the mean girl, Luke made some excuse to leave the table while everyone tried to stop themselves from asking the questions that they new neither of the former couple wanted to answer.
‘Are you okay?’ ‘Do you still love her/him?’
Neither wanted to be asked that because the answers broke them. They weren’t okay. They still were in love with one another.
They were afraid they would never stop being in love with the other.
But neither had to say it. All their friends knew it, because they knew them. That’s why no one was surprised when Julie and the Phantoms was saved by Y/N on their concert at a cafe the night of her date.
The girl had screamed at them for keeping the presentation a secret, the band excusing themselves with the thought of not wanting her to miss her date —although they didn’t want to give her the opportunity to bring her date with her to their concert since that would break Luke.
Either way, they boys’ amps had stopped working and in a panic Julie had texted Carrie. Carrie had been helping Y/N get ready and said girl had grabbed her amps and drove them both to the small cafe.
Date completely forgotten without a care.
“You didn’t have to miss your date for this” Luke tells her softly.
She looks at him as if he had lost his mind, “This is your band, Patterson”
Luke’s heart feels heavy in his chest as he realizes the depth behind her words. This was his band and that meant it meant something to her. It meant as much to her as it did to him because it was his.
The brunette boy feels a smile overtake his features along with a small blush, wanting nothing more than to kiss her right there.
But he didn’t. Instead he kissed her cheek.
Y/N’s eyes widened in surprise and soon her perfect skin started acquiring a deep scarlet, which she hid by hurrying Carrie to go find some seats.
If that night Luke sang looking at her too often, then damn him. Who could blame him? Y/N had just giving him more reasons to love her.
After that neither tried to date again. They were silently pining after one another, too afraid to make a move considering the way things ended between them.
But Julie grew tired of it and soon started bugging them to date other people if they weren’t going to date one another.
That’s why when Luke was rejecting Kayla’s date, Julie intervened.
“Sorry, Kayla” he apologizes, “I have rehearsal with the band”
“No, we don’t” Julie smiles “Actually, why don’t you guys come to the concert the school is holding together?”
Luke glared at the talented singer before fake smiling towards the Hawaiian beauty who agreed instantly.
Though once Kayla is out sight, Luke grabs Julie’s arm and pulls her towards the janitor’s closet where he glares at her with dark green eyes.
“What are you doing?”
“You need to date! Get out there, mingle a little”
He shakes his head, “When Y/N finds out about this she’ll despise me”
Julie frowns with confusion, “No, she won’t. She has moved on, you should too”
Luke shakes his head in disbelief making Julie scoff before getting her phone out.
“What are you doing?”
She shushes him before putting her phone on speaker, making Luke’s eyes widen once he sees the called ID being the one of his ex.
He would never voice out loud the way his heart skipped a beat.
“I’m blocking you”, came her cold voice as soon as the call is picked up.
“Wait—Y/N! Don’t hang up!”
A groan is heard making Luke involuntarily smile.
“You have five seconds to tell me what the heck you want before I block you”
“Okay, look, I’m here with Beck—“
“Julie, don’t”
“He’s going with Kayla to the school’s concert, as a date” Julie continues “Just wanted to make sure that’s okay with you”
There’s a ten seconds silence through the line. Ten seconds in which Julie realizes that maybe she was wrong, that maybe she should’ve minded her own business. For so long she had found annoyance in the ways she always ended up in the middle of their problems and here she was, butting in herself.
Ten seconds in which Luke panics. Realizing that he is also awaiting the answer anxiously. There are two ways this could go: Y/N could snap, voicing loudly how she didn’t give a damn, or she could scream asking for answers to questions she shouldn’t have and bad-mouthing Kayla. Both were common in their past. It was a way to showed she cared, that she was jealous and that she wasn’t ready to let him go yet. Both answers would give him the last drop of hope he needed to do something about what he felt towards her.
But when the ten seconds came to an end, neither got an answer they expected from the impulsive ice queen.
“We’re not dating” she reminded them in a voice too soft to be recognized as hers, “We haven’t been for a long time. You don’t have to make sure if it’s okay with me”
“What?”, Luke asks softly, “Y/N, I…”
“I’m being serious right now, Luke”, she continues, “I do appreciate your concern but it’s none of my business who you date”
Silence. Neither Julie nor Luke know what to say or do next. Neither expected the mature response from the H/C haired beauty. Neither knew if they liked it.
“Well, if that was all, don’t call me again”
And she hung up.
Julie stared at her phone in disbelief, but what did she expect? Was she secretly hoping that Y/N would finally snap and this agonizing secret mutual pining they were all forced to endure would finally end? What exactly had she expected to achieve from this?
Definitely not the way Luke was looking right now.
The guitarist looked completely heartbroken and hopeless. The fire that normally resided in his eyes had ceased to exist. And as he looked at one of his best friends while holding tightly onto his backpack’s strap, all that could shine through his eyes was a deep feeling of betrayal.
“I…”
“You should’ve stayed out of it”, he voiced numbly “She doesn’t despise me. It’s worst, she doesn’t care at all”
“Luke…”
“I’ll go on that stupid date, just bug out, will you?”
The days before the concert were painful for every single one of them on their friend group. It was definitely a weird sight to see Luke look so out of it and Y/N so unbothered by it. It was the first time since their break up that their friends doubted the possibility of them ever finding their way back to each other.
When they finally had the courage to ask Luke what was going on, the guitarist told them he had a date with his eyes glued to Y/N body. He was waiting for a reaction, no matter how small it was. Anything really.
But she gave nothing away.
All she did to answer their friends’ curious and astonished gazes was shrug her shoulders and voice she was just trying to finish her song for the school’s concert.
The unbothered air that surrounded her was heartbreaking for everyone around her. It was as if she was truly okay either letting go of Luke and their history. As if she had already given up on them. They couldn’t blame her, it had been a long time since they last were together, but that didn’t change the fact that they all truly believed they were meant to be together and that it was unsettling to see it come to a real end.
Especially by the look on Luke’s eyes. His face may have remained neutral and unfaltering but his eyes could never deceive from his true feelings. He was hurt.
And being hurt but not wanting to show it meant he tried to keep himself as busy as he could until the school’s concert, avoiding all his friends and Y/N especially. And when the time to meet up with Kayla came, Luke had to pretend to be invested in everything she told him; even if most things were just compliments to suck up to him, agreeing to every little thing he said. He didn’t even know if anything that she actually told him was her actual real opinion or if she was just trying that hard to agree with everything he said to be reciprocated.
He didn’t even know anything about who she was and they had been talking for the hour that concert had already been going on.
Favorite song? She would ask his first before saying how much she also loved it. Methods of acting that they found more suitable? She would giggle and twirl her hair waiting for him to answer before giving what she would fake is her own opinion.
It was tiring.
Where was her own fire? Why didn’t she fight back when he disagreed with something she said? Why didn’t she try to show him why she was passionate about it instead of just nodding and giving in?
Why was she making it so easy?
He didn’t like it. He was hating it actually. So he took the first chance he could, excusing himself by saying he needed to refill his drink, to run for it.
That’s how Julie found him after helping the boys set up the instruments for Y/N’s set, which was up next.
“Ooohh, hello, loverboy” she teased him, “Where is your lovely lady of the night?”
“Don’t know. Don’t care”
Julie blinks, surprised by his answer, before grabbing a cup and filling it with the first soda she saw.
“Date not going well?”
“It’s a disaster” he scoffs, “She’s just agreeing with everything I say”
Julie nods, “Isn’t that a good thing, though? Means you have things in common”
“Not really. Not if I don’t know if that is truly what she thinks” he shakes his head “Feels like she’s just trying to agree to everything I say”
“Well, it’s the first date, you know” she sighs, “She probably doesn’t want to fight you on it. Next one will be better”
He shakes his head, “There won’t be a next one”
“WHAT?!”
Luke drinks from his cup while Julie starts stumbling upon her words after what he said. She couldn’t believe it. He wasn’t even gonna give it a chance? The date wasn’t even over yet.
“I think I learned something about myself”
Julie scoffs, “That you’re ungrateful to your friend who tried to help you by fixing you up with a cute girl?!”
“No, I just…” he sighs “I think I kind of like to date a girl who, you know… fights back”
Julie looks at him dumbfounded, not understanding his point.
“I mean a girl who has strong opinions” he continues, “you know? A big mouth”
“Why?”
He shrugs his shoulders, “Cause it’s not easy. Easy is boring”
Julie stares for a good minute before sighing. It kinda made sense. At the end of the day, love was all about growth. Growth didn’t exist without different opinions and dialogues that fought each ideal. It was all about pushing each other to become your very best. How could you do that without bumps along the way?
“Okay…” she sighs, taking a sip of her drink, “Then, who’s not boring?”
Their conversation is cut short by Reggie’s voice on the stage, he had been assigned as the concert’s host and had been doing a magnificent job all night.
“Okay, people! Let’s hear things up with F/N L/N! Let’s go!”
Reggie soon goes to grab the bass as Alex appears behind the drums. Other two students grabbing the guitar and keyboard left.
Luke and Julie take a step closer, that way they have a better view of the stage.
The guitar starts playing the intro as Y/N walks into stage in a cute short black goth dress with fisher nets and combat boots, her hair’s normal blue streaks a dark purple this night. Shortly after she makes her way to the microphone stand the drums join the melody.
And soon her melodious and angelic raspy voice sounds through the place.
“You think you know me
But you don't know me
You think you own me
But you can't control me”
As if it was destined to be, the lyrics bring light to the situation at hand.
There was a reason why Luke and Y/N always ended up gravitating towards one another despite all the horrible fights they endured with each other.
“You look at me and there's just one thing that you see
So listen to me
Listen to me”
Julie feels like smacking herself across the face. The truth was so obvious that she feels dumb to have been so oblivious to it.
“You push me back
I push you back
Harder, harder
You scream at me
I scream at you
Louder, L-L-L-L-Louder”
Luke Patterson was probably one of the most carefree and easy going people she had ever met. He was always carrying this certain peaceful atmosphere around him. He needed someone or something to push him to thrive, to become better than he already was. To fight for his ideals and his dreams. It wasn’t enough to just want them to happen, he had to make them happen and his calm self usually hid from conflict.
F/N L/N was probably the most loud and impulsive person Julie had ever met. Never once had she silenced her opinions, always speaking the truth no matter how cruel it could be. She wasn’t someone who hid from a fight and whenever she wanted something she never stopped until she got it. She needed someone who could stop her when she was going to far, someone to calm the fire that never cease to light up inside of her.
“I'm dangerous so I'm warning you
But you're not afraid of me
And I can't convince you
You don't know me”
There was not one person in the whole world that was meant to be with the other but themselves. They pushed each other, for better and worst. They had the possibility of being the best and the worst thing that could happen to the other.
And as the song keeps going, the truth becomes blinding.
“And the longer that you stay, the ice is melting
And the pain feels okay, it feels okay (hey)”
Luke’s eyes never once stray away from the powerful force that is Y/N as she sings. Her voice loud and powerful as raspy and angelic. His heart beats to the song’s rhythm, unveiling a silent truth that he had been trying so hard to push to the bottom of his being, to afraid of what it truly meant. To afraid of it being to late to mean it.
“You push me back
I push you back
You scream at me
I scream at you
Louder”
Her e/c cold gaze meets his green eyes and suddenly it seems all the iciness in it melts away. As if only his gaze could have that power over her. As if only he was allowed to see the true kind soul hidden behind the cold walls she had taken so long to build around herself.
“You push me back
I push you back
Harder harder
You scream at me
I scream at you
Louder, L-L-L-L-Louder”
And he knows right there and then, as does Julie and his friends, that it is her. It has always been her. It will always be her.
It is Y/N who pushes him until he finally snaps. It is Y/N who fights for him whenever he doesn’t find the will to do so. It is Y/N who loves him so much that she fights to control her impulses whenever he asks her to.
It had always been her and he had been a fool to ever let her walk away without giving a fight. Especially when she had never stopped fighting.
“I'm dangerous so I'm warning you
But you're not afraid of me
And I can't convince you
And I don't have to I think you know me”
Their relationship was flawed. Maybe even toxic. But it was magical. It was powerful and passionate. And it was real.
Never had they ever been afraid to voice their opinions to the other, even fighting back when they disagreed; yet never settling. Never had they ever been afraid to be vulnerable by showing each other how much they truly cared for one another. Never had they ever stopped loving each other.
The applause make Luke blink out of his daze and realize all this time he had been staring right at Y/N. And she had been staring back.
She offers him a soft smile that to anyone else would look like her usual smirk, but he knew better. He had always known better. And that’s how he knows she is fighting, one last time, for him. She has ignited the flame and it is leaving it to him to turn it off once and for all or help it grow as fierce and wild as it can.
Julie smiles softly, “So, Luke… who’s not boring?”
And he smiles.
Step by step he gets closer to the stage where Y/N is still on, nodding at the standing ovation that is applauding her. Only taking her eyes her eyes off the public once he makes it right at her side.
Everyone’s eyes are on them. Silence.
They stand there for a minute just staring at each other. Y/N with her hand folded in front of her and Luke with both his hands buried in his jean’s pockets.
“I’ve missed you” he finally voices.
She shrugs, acting indifferent, “So what are you gonna do about it?”
Two seconds of silence follow in which Luke pauses to admire her challenging e/c gaze, before taking enough steps to be face-to-face with her. His hand leave the safety of his pockets and find their way to the warm of her cheeks before pulling her towards him, lips meeting anxiously.
And it was like a weight was lifted of their chests, letting them finally breathe without struggle.
No matter the fights, the misunderstandings, disagreements or the toxicity. They would always find their way back to each other because of the truth and purity of their love, which was real. Love was never meant to be perfect but it is meant to keep the other grounded, to push the other to grow.
And that’s what always brought Luke and Y/N back. It’s what always would bring them back.

excerpt from an in-progress "the Core Four gets a clonebaby and it's not even Tim's fault" fic
Kon has a bruise on his face and is bleeding from the mouth and has a four year-old sitting on his hip all wrapped up in his studded leather jacket. Tim finds seeing him bleeding more concerning than the sight of the kid, because while Kon isn't necessarily the first choice to comfort the traumatized civilians, he's done it plenty of times and he'll no doubt do it plenty more.
Also, like, the whole street is on fire. What, is he gonna put the kid down?
The kid is barefoot and wearing a white bodysuit, it looks like. They have pale skin and fluffy black chin-length hair and huge hazel eyes–a hazel that's practically yellow in the light of the burning street, it's so bright–and they're small and slender, but also surprisingly muscular for their age.
And surprisingly alert, Tim can't help but notice. Their eyes are subtly darting around, hypervigilant to a fault, and they're visibly just clocking things. They've already threat-assessed him, Cassie, and Bart, and they're obviously watching out for anyone else and simultaneously keeping an eye on the guttering flames and broken ground and surrounding street in general.
The bad guys left out here are technically all down and thoroughly zip-tied into submission, but the kid assesses them all too, one by one.
Tim gets a weird itch in the back of his brain, and Kon brings the kid over to the rest of them.
Their eyes aren't hazel, Tim realizes. They actually are yellow.
A very specific, familiar yellow.
"What's with the kid?" Bart asks, narrowing his very specific, familiar eyes curiously. "Like, why are you bringing the kid, I mean, not 'why does the kid exist?' That's a different question, obviously, like really why do any of us–"
"They're ours," Kon says.
Bart stops talking.
"Um?" he says.
"What do you mean they're 'ours'?" Cassie says.
"Show 'em that thing you showed me, kiddo?" Kon asks the kid, patting their back. They nod solemnly. Then they vibrate into a blur that phases right through Kon's arms, leather jacket and all. Kon makes no effort to catch them, apparently because he knows it's unnecessary, because a second later the kid is floating up into the air over all their heads.
Tim blinks, very slowly. Tilts his head.
Kon wiggles his fingers at the kid, who noises very quietly and reaches down to grab at his hand. Kon grins up at them and holds his arms open, and the kid settles back into them . . . not warily, exactly? But very definitely uncertainly. Like it's something unfamiliar.
Not like Kon is unfamiliar. Like being held is unfamiliar.
"Okay, huh," Bart says. "Well that sure was the Speed Force."
"And that sure is a Greek demigod," Cassie says.
"Sure is," Kon says agreeably. "And I'll give you two guesses as to where the attached unenhanced human DNA came from, Boy Wonder."
"Kon, what the hell?" Tim says in bemusement. "What even . . . what, exactly?"
"Remember that weird green light earlier?" Kon asks conversationally as he pets the kid's back. "The one that just kinda flashed all up in your respective businesses while I was inside punching asshole scientists after the comms got fried?"
"Yes," Tim replies warily. "I assumed it was supposed to be some kind of distraction."
"It was a DNA scanner," Kon says.
"Ah," Tim says, and wonders how the hell he's going to explain this to Bruce.
"Apparently, these shits decided the best way to handle invading superheroes was to just copy their DNA and then make speed-gro clones who could counteract their abilities," Kon says, jerking his head back towards the TTK-ruined remains of the lab. "With, obviously, a healthy side of brainwashing and indoctrination programming uploaded directly into their developing brains. But literally everyone and their mother underestimates the range of TTK, so I kinda just broke the lab and now, welllll . . ."
"So the kid is a Greek demigod with a Speed Force connection and a Bat-brain?" Cassie asks.
"Apparently," Kon says, nuzzling the kid's ridiculously floofy black hair. "Sorry, kiddo, I'd have given you TTK if I'd gotten the option, but we made the fatal error that is splitting the party. Then again, now you won't wanna puke if you ever run into kryptonite, so could be worse? And also you not getting TTK meant I was on deck to save you from getting grown into a teenage superweapon, so that was probably worth it, right? Like, not that we wouldn't have let you join the team in that case, but clone to clone, I hear actual childhoods are kinda cool and all."
Well, Tim thinks it's safe to make some assumptions about why Kon said "they're ours" and not "they're yours".
"Huh," Cassie says, looking bemused.
". . . honestly I just can't believe this isn't Rob's fault," Bart says, darting over to peer more closely at the kid, who frowns at him.
"I'm not that bad," Tim protests reflexively. The others all give him pitying looks. "Don't look at me like that, I'm not!"
"Yes you are," Cassie says dryly, then steps in closer towards Kon and the kid too and smiles at them. "Hey there, little guy. What's your name?"
The kid stares blankly at her, then curls up tighter in Kon's jacket–and, probably not incidentally, his arms–and presses in closer against him.
"No," they say. Cassie blinks.
"'No'?" she repeats in confusion.
"Babe, they're five minutes out of the cloning tube," Kon says wryly. "They don't have a name."
". . . we should fix that," Cassie says. "Like. Immediately, let's fix that."
"Yeah, I'm on board with that," Kon agrees. "Any suggestions?"
"Are you a boy or a girl?" Tim asks the kid, because at this age it's hard to tell. He's assuming boy, since two male gene donors to one female, but who knows, really.
"I'm a clone," the kid says, looking at him like they think he's stupid.
"Gender-neutral name it is," Kon says, clearly unconcerned by that very concerning response.
"Max?" Bart offers immediately and unsurprisingly, visibly perking up. Which, well–not the worst name for a speedster anyway, Tim supposes.
"Blake," Cassie suggests. "Avery, Channing, Charlie, Aubrey, Kirby, Morgan, Sage, Shiloh–"
"You're hanging out with Cissie a lot again, huh," Bart observes.
"Like you're not?" Cassie huffs, tweaking his nose before continuing with: "Ash, Casey, Jo, Sam, Maddox . . ."
"Alex?" Tim tries, mostly because Cassie's offering a lot of unusual-sounding options and that might not be ideal.
Bart and Cassie eye him. Kon raises an eyebrow in a very Luthor-esque fashion.
Tim experiences the five stages of grief and quickly moves on.
"Uh, or Jace," he says. "Or . . . Harley?"
Wait, those are terrible too.
"No," the kid says, frowning at all of them.
"None of those sound good?" Kon asks them. The kid's frown deepens and they press closer against him, still eyeing the rest of them just a little bit sullenly.
"I don't want one of their names," they say with obvious distaste, and also much clearer annunciation than a typical four year-old would have. "I want one from you."
"Oh," Kon says, blinking a couple times. "Yeah, okay, kiddo. Um . . . you sure?"
"Yes," the kid says.
"Okay," Kon says, and tightens his grip on them a little. And then, surprisingly quickly–"Kenley Elliot. And we can hash out your last name later, that's gonna have to be a later thing. How's that sound? You want it?"
"Yes," the kid repeats, and then throws their arms around Kon's neck and squeezes. It looks a bit closer to a chokehold than a hug, but Kon a) is a half-Kryptonian clone, and b) clearly doesn't care.
"Cool," he says, and swallows a little roughly. "Okay, well, that's squared away. Let's get the fuck out of here before some asshole with a badge tries to take custody of Kenley."
Tim did not miss the "Kent" and "El" concealed in either of those names, or how quickly Kon had them to hand. Not as quick as Bart had "Max", obviously, but . . .
Very quickly, all the same.
Alright, then.

aisle 4
✱ ex!bc × gn!reader
— i could give you my all and it still wouldn’t be enough.
w.count → 0.5k genre → angst warnings → minor cussing a.n → posted this once before somewhere else buuut kinda wanna repost because i'm still working on something else :] inspired by Han's 13! ⋆ see masterlist
it felt like a bucket of cold water just washed over you.
you knew coming back home meant there was no avoiding him. you knew you're bound to cross paths with the pair of clear hazel eyes, ones that still haunts your dreams—but you didn't expect that to be this soon.
"fuck," snapping from your trance, you quickly hid behind the tall shelves of aisle 4 as prayers left your thumping heart.
he really hadn't changed one bit.
well, it’s rather obvious how he’s a lot more built now compared to the gym newbie he was back then. his features had turned a lot sharper, complementing the strong impressions of the dark leather jacket against his eternally sun-kissed skin—but the clusters of freckles are still there, adorning his ever-flushed face. his messy curls still seemed to have their own unique little opinions, falling just short by his pair of twinkling eyes.
even in the reflection of your eyes,
he still looked like the same summer-loving boy you knew.
"yes—yes, mum. i promise i have everything down to the brand you prefer. don’t you trust your own son for this?"
and albeit deeper, you could have never forgotten the sound of his laugh.
the tightness on your chest quickly grew by the second, constricting your airway and turning your view hazy–I have to go.
"uh huh. okay. i'll grab some snacks befo—oh."
and there he was.
right across your still frozen pair of white airmax, his brown eyes were wide as they locked with yours–words slipping right off his slacked jaw.
chris is there, so close for you to reach,
and yet, he’s too far for you to hold.
"mum, i-i'll call you back in a bit,” chris rushed to end the call, eyes never leaving yours even for a second while he frantically shoved his phone in the pocket of his jacket. is this a fever dream? were his eyes playing a cruel trick on him? why are you–?
“...hi.”
you had forgotten how gentle he was whenever he's around you—syllables rolled down his tongue as if you were made of glass, voice as light as a spring day’s breeze.
chris was gentle with you.
always has.
shouldn’t have.
“i’m sorry,” a croak of your voice finally dissipates the thick silence between you–soft, but strong enough to break the waves of memories flooding your minds. “i have to go. i–”
“i’m glad,” the tremble in his voice was faint, but not the ones you could miss. his lips curled into a faint smile, ones that couldn’t decorate his usually bright eyes. “i’m… glad you looked happy.”
was it regret? Or was it your conscience?
was it your logic? Were you being stubborn? was everything you own doing? Did you push yourself into this pit of eternal darkness?
could everything have turned out differently that night, 5 years ago?
you bit you tongue, forcing a smile despite barely being able to make out the traces of chris’ features behind you welled eyes,
“i’m glad you’re happy, chris.”

Reader sucking off Rick Grimes to get off a speeding ticket (pre apocalypse) 🤭 rick kinda cocky/degrading/smug cums on readers face 🙈🤭
☆ Private Eyes | R.G ☆
Summary - The streets of Cynthiana, Kentucky were usually busy, although due to frequent flow of tickets being given, a certain smug Sheriff manages to catch you slip up, not wanting a ticket you attend to your last resort…
──────. • ☆:*.☽ .* :☆゚• . ──────
The streets of Cynthiana were quiet, much quieter then usual. You found yourself, often cruising throughout the barren roads, trying everything in your power to get home as quick as possible.
Humidity surrounded both you and your car, the nights air nothing but thick and heavy, even though the sun had set hours ago it still lingered automatically forcing your foot down on the gas.
You never managed to eat at work, the stress that ran through your veins daily often had you skip lunch rather waiting until you clocked off.
The grumble in your stomach was like a brewing storm, low and loud, churning away at the emptiness your hunger clinged to. Your foot was now level with the floor, passing by the few scattered cars hastily.
It was almost out of now where when loud sirens drummed away in your ears, alerting your focus to the flashing bright fluorescent blue and red lights of the pale teal cruiser following you.
“Fuck-“
It was almost as if your hunger had taken control, not even noticing the speed that you had been going. Quickly you lift your foot, turning your wheel as you nervously tap away, slowly pulling over to the side allowing the pristine 1973 Ford F-250 to park itself in the slot behind.
Everything stilled as if the whole world knew the very outcome of your dangerous choice, if not a ticket then definitely something worse. You click your tongue, sighing to yourself before glancing into your left wing mirror.
Carefully you watch the taller, older male approach your vechile, his boots clacking against the concrete pavement.
You take in the deep muddy-like jacket that clung to his body, the pale buff coloured shirt underneath and the deep vibrant hazel of his trousers, you had managed to sus out just by the way he was dressed, how the hat sat perfectly atop of his head, how the golden badge he wore with pride glimmered underneath the dull street lights that he was in-fact the county’s sheriff.
The tapping grew heavier, much louder against the thin leather of your steering wheel, your heart beat strumming away rapidly in your ears you had almost ignored the sharp knock on the taint glass of your door.
An unsteady finger of your own presses with urgency to break the shield protecting you, coming face to face with your current consequences. The glass rolls down, disappearing from view completely, the town’s sheriff appearing attractive more so underneath the yellow lights.
With confidence, Rick unveils the hat that he wore moments ago before pressing it to his chest lightly. His cheek bones pulse knowing how much wasted time you had already caused, his teeth clamping together before he speaks.
“You even realise what speed you were going?”
The words were a mere echo within your head, bouncing back and forth from each corner, rolling over the rocky seas the sheriff’s appearance caused. You shook your head with the overconfident to not interrupt him, his pale blue eyes catching your glance.
“Well if I was certain, it was over the speed limit…can’t help but wonder why you were in such a rush?”
His accent was thick, definitely southern. His quirked up drawls and his stance already showcased the authority he held over you, even the eye contact he had managed to keep hold of had you in grasps of splurging out the truth.
“I- uh, I have no excuse really- I just clocked off of work and-“
“Can you step out of the vehicle sir?”
Instantly you could tell he had no remorse, nothing. Infact he replaced himself by taking a few steps to the side, allowing you to slowly tug on the one sided handle, unlocking the door to allow yourself out and into his space.
“Please- I can’t- mom’s gonna be pissed”
The words usher out of you as if you had been asked to ramble about your current worries. It had no affect on the sheriff, instead, once you stood fully upward in-front, he scrambles for the small notepad in his pocket which matched the brown of his attire.
“Listen kid, we both know what happened here…”
It eventually settles in as you watch the cop jot down a few things, scribbling his signature somewhere out of your focus. A wave of panic washes over you knowing a scolding was on it’s way but you somehow thought, maybe you could change the sheriff’s mind…somehow.
“Sheriff-“
He pauses before settling his arms, side by side, shoving the notepad back in his pocket.
“It’s Sheriff Grimes, Rick Grimes…”
You had seen in the paper of the newly appointed Sheriff and just how scary he could be up close although that hadn’t managed to change your mind, infact it helped you to gain the confidence you needed to plead playfully.
“Sheriff Grimes…I’d do anything to get this ticket off of my name…anything, I can’t go home with this otherwise-“
He allows a small grunt to surpass his reddened plump lips, feeling the small twitch in his briefs. He watches you closely, how your whole demeanour had changed from shy and shameful to playful and almost lewd if he hadn’t caught that lip bite.
Tilting his head to the side and disregarding his pointed hat on the hood of your car, you close in on him, the same ringing from before had crept upon you stealthily, heart beat as loud as the soft exhales you managed to let out.
Looking down he watches as you extend an arm carefully but lower, low enough that your finger tips graze the slowly growing tent between his crotch.
“What do you think your doing?”
His tone was low, half curious half stern, still trying to hold the slowly dissipating authority he held once before. He grunts when you begin to passionately grope the area, giving him a slight uncertain squeeze, looking up into his darkened eyes for approval.
He steps back momentarily, his held tilting once more in confusion and guilt but the glimmer in his eye suggested otherwise as if he to was just as curious to see where this would go.
“Ya could get into a lot of trouble wasting my time…”
You shudder, the air had gone colder as if the worry had completely left you alone, instead it was replaced by the lack of judgment and how much Rick craved the indwelling of his morals and how much he yearned for that touch.
It had been months, if that since he last had anything, anything worth time away from his busy schedule, this intrigued him, so much so he doesn’t move any further, the risk was the only thing pushing Rick further into the lustful spiral you casted.
Unexpectedly he moves back into place, back into your open palm. He felt heavier than before, filling out the rest of your hand as he settled against your passenger door. Giving him another testy squeeze, you pull back, a pale pink dusting of blush covering both cheeks.
“I- I wouldn’t want to do that…Sheriff”
He composed himself before standing up, not even bothering to ignore the growing ache his erection currently sported, closing in on you this time, he checked both left and right before turning his head bringing most of his focus back onto you.
“You wouldn’t?”
Before you could comply his lips were attacking your own, the same hunger that ate you from the inside out had engulfed Rick entirely, forgetting the risk of being caught and potentially losing his job his tongue rolled against yours, once or twice before pulling away, panting heavily.
Still you lacked the knowledge to understand that this was just to get off of a ticket, not to eagerly attach yourself to the town’s sheriff, but it proved hard when he towered over you, keeping an arm above your lowering form.
Knees hitting the cold concrete of the road, the bulge that continued to grow repeatedly gained your attention. Rick had no idea what had managed to possess him to go such limits to reward his own greed but he couldn’t let this go, not now.
“Y’gonna unzip my trousers…take me out, maybe, just maybe I’ll let you off”
You waste no time in following his instructions, finger tips tampering with the metal zipper before you pull it down, a desperate hand sinking into his confines, easily fishing for the protruding muscle.
Succeeding in your task, you eventually pull him out, fighting with the small hole that you could only pull him through. He was thick, thicker then you had seen before, the tip a dark shade of red, angry, almost as if he was seeking some sort of pleasure out of this also.
You gawk at the view, almost uncertain you couldn’t possibly except such size into your mouth. Meeting his eyes once again he manages to slide you a knowing glare.
“God Rick- how do you even- just how?”
You question before giving him a few teasing tugs, his balls full and heavy at the same time making it much more intimidating. It felt right to have him fully engrossed in your palm, Rick was a fumbling mess already, his own hand couldn’t compare to another’s, to yours.
“Fuck-“
A sense of pride ran through you in waves which inevitably pushes you to wrap your lips around his tip seductively, forcing his attention back down, watching as you slowly surpassed each inch.
“Y’gonna take it all sweetheart, no holding back now”
Anticipating the eventual moment you reach the trimmed levelling of hair, Rick’s hand grow heavier in your hair, bunching up the locks, guiding you down until your nose settled against his pubic bone, taking in the overwhelming, natural musk that spoke nothing but of Rick himself.
The officer above clutched the roof of his cruiser which slightly grounded him before allowing a subtle grunt to surpass his open lips, almost immediately he couldn’t contain his want to see how far you would go with this, how far your limits would take you.
“God you’re sweet- come on honey, show me how much you don’t want this ticket”
Resting the back of your head against his car door, you feel every ridge and vein pull away, just enough until he stood proud again before ushering most of his length back in, cramming the rest into the back of your throat.
Rick was big, to big to not worry about, you convulse, choking around the tip that claimed your awaiting throat which was now full of him and his manhood.
He smirks, almost seeking the moment you would turn into the mess he knew you can become, watching how your lips stretch into an “o” to accompany his size.
“Such a cock slut, wonder what ya daddy would think? How easy you are, how much of a slut ya are”
His mouth was vulgar which resembled the quickened pace he set, rolling his hips back and forth to force your throat to accommodate his size, to worship what he was giving. Trying your best to nod, Rick chuckled at your weak efforts, to busy using the mouth you were so willing to give to bother with his words.
The comforting presence of Rick’s hand lightly on your head had you desperately slurping him between your saliva slicked lips, each glob trickling down your chin with every roll of his hips.
“You were fuckin’ hungry for it sweetheart, look at ya, takin’ it like a champ-“
When he sped up, the noises got louder, lewd and slick which resembled your current state, tear stained cheeks and abused, puffy red lips. You sucked harder, Rick’s voice became strained as a string of profanities fell from his mouth.
“Fuckin’ close-“
He growled, huffing and puffing like the big bad wolf, claiming what was his. Each twitch of his manhood followed the rest, the weight of him growing heavier by the second.
“So wet, so fuckin’ inviting- ya were made for me, a fuckin’ dream”
Each pummel of his hips, each pressing of his groin into your face had you achy and leaky between your thighs, making a mess of your jeans. He kept you still, the cool metal of his car door keeping you grounded enough to eye the man above, vision blurred by the continuous tears he created.
His cheeks were flush and his panting grew heavy, each second that passed he grew tired and sloppy, his hips rolling languidly, pressing himself impossibly deeper, triggering your gag reflex until he couldn’t go any more.
“Gonna cum, paint them pretty little features, open wide for me honey-“
Just as you were about to pull off with a pop, he yanks himself back and outwards, hands tugging on his slick cock. Once his eyes roll back and the same low groan from before slips from his chest, deeply, you stick out your tongue, collecting each streak of white liquid that shot from his bulbous tip.
“Take it all- fuck-“
Rolling your tongue back after he stilled, catching his breathe, you finally taste what he was all about, swallowing the thickness that lingered on your tongue, tangy yet sweet, almost earthy.
Pleased with his work, sea-like blues resting back onto the face he just ruined, it couldn’t get any better, his thumb traced over your bottom lip, running through the saliva-cum mix before pressing his thumb upwards into your mouth.
His cock now flaccid still covered with spit and the reminder of his finish, he uses his other hand to tuck himself away before watching you swallow what his thumb offered, pulling away, he wipes it on your shirt, retreating to his trouser pocket to fish out a yellow piece of paper.
Inside was his number, although you had no clue, the indents of numbers on the folded paper had told you enough.
“I have a feelin’ i’ll be seeing you around…”

Lets. Talk. Boys.
So, here's the thing... by this time, the T-Birds have left.. Or are in the final process of leaving, since Cynthia states she doesn't wanna see Gil's face. And the only people who are still around, are the Soc's.
Right?
Nancy has kissed everyone. Even B- Buddy. But she hasn't said anything about the T-Birds.. Then again, it's not like anyone asked. Besides, I don't think she can. After all, different circles and all that.
And technically they aren't Pink Ladies- YET! But for the sake of my rant, it would go AGAINST THEIR FUTURE CODE!
Im getting a rant ready about the 'RULES/CODE' of being a Pink Lady, so I will spare you all the most of it here. But three of which need to be said.
Again, not the pledge, the RULES! You can even google them! Weirdly enough, only the ladies have Rules, whereas the T-Birds don't... W.T.F?
Rule 2: At no time is a Pink Lady to become romantically involved with a non-T-Bird member. Restriction is rescinded only after graduation from school or expulsion. A Pink Lady will not date a: Jock, nerd, Preppie, anybody non-cool, or member of a rival school or gang. T-Birds, not Nerds!
Rule 3: The Pink Lady jacket symbolizes that the wearer is the girlfriend / consort of a T-Bird member.
Rule 6: No Pink Lady is allowed to interfere with other Pink Lady to T-Bird relationships. If the leader of the T-Birds is spoken for, unattached Pink Lady is not permitted to trespass on fellow Pink Lady relationship. If the leader of the T-Birds is available (Pink Lady girlfriend leaves - see rule #3), unattached Pink Lady may make advances on unclaimed T-Bird leader.
So.... Nancy hasnt/cant have kissed Richie, Gil, Shy Guy or Potato.. That opens up the making of the rules of such. AND I want them to do it! I need to know how their 'code' comes about! Its briefly spoken in both movies, but never fleshed out much.
And I like to think that Nancy will kiss Potato here..
And either need a Dewey Decimal System or will help create the rules themselves to make things simple so as to not over complicate things in the ranks so to speak.
From what I know, each Lady has a Bird.
Jane and Richie. Gil and Olivia. Nancy and Potato... Cynthia.... Hmm..
I've got a thought about this.
In recent events, we see Cynthia in a leather jacket. That means, she 'leaves' the Ladies. Then again, I would still want it to say Pink Ladies on the back, but in T-Bird font, if that makes any sense. And if she leaves, who then takes her place?
My unpopular opinion is on Susan, believe it or not. And if that works out, Hazel would take Susan's place among the Soc's whether she takes up with Buddy or Wally- doesn't matter to me.
Susan wants to be loud. Be bold. Not do the things she's told. And if she is acting out and rebelling while eating burgers, she could potentially be a Pink Lady. And my pairing for her? Shy Guy. And I know he kinda has a thing for Cynthia but.. Think about it..
A bad boy/giant teddy bear who rides a motorcycle and is part of a gang (who is loyal to their girls). CLASSIC. REBELOUS. Good Girl ACT. But..
HE'S A GOOD. GUY! And I believe she deserves that.. (Don't remind me of her going after Richie to make Buddy jealous. )
In conclusion, Cynthia would be able to walk between both worlds, as it were and could even be with Lydia if that's the road she+ the writers decides to take.
I'm super tired and don't know if my rant made any sense, let me know what you think. I love discussing this show!

I should be focussing on my WIPs - but being in London just fueled my eagerness to work on my "Rivers of London"-inspired Juke-AU.
-----
On the day Julie had started her magical apprenticeship, Caleb had given her a crucial piece of advice: Do not mingle with the dead. They aren’t worth the hassle.
And then he had introduced her to his ghosts. Julie had momentarily frowned at the wording.
His ghosts?
But Caleb just snapped his fingers, and suddenly, the room was crammed with people.
There were a dozen of them, most of them adults – men and women about her dad’s age. But in the back of the crowd, she’d spotted a group of teenage boys. They couldn’t be much older than her, and Julie’s heart ached for them. They were ghosts. They were dead.
The ghosts, however, didn’t seem to mourn their deaths as much as she did. One of them, a boy with dark hair and freckles across his nose and clad in a black leather jacket that didn’t fit his personality, beamed brightly at her. He even waved cheerfully at her. Perplexed, Julie was about to wave back. But then her eyes landed on another boy, and she froze mid-movement. He was about her age as the excited boy, maybe even his friend, though that was hard to tell because he had a nasty scowl on his face. His arms were crossed, his chin jutted out, and his dark eyebrows furrowed. His hazel bore into hers with a hostility that made Julie squirm. She wanted to look away. But she couldn’t.
So, they were off to a great start. Fantastic.
Then Caleb made another gesture, and with a wave of his hand, the scowling boy and his peers were gone. Julie blinked owlishly, spinning around in the now almost empty room. Intellectually, she knew that magic was real. After all, she’d agreed to this apprenticeship right after Caleb had produced balls of light and let them soar through the room like hyperactive fireflies. But still, seeing people appear and disappear right in front of her eyes – it was surreal.
Then she noted Caleb, who had an amused expression on his face. Julie stopped dead in her tracks, cheeks flaring with embarrassment. She felt like an idiot.
“So they really are …”
“My ghosts?” Caleb suggested helpfully. “Yes.”
Julie frowned. He’d said it again. My ghosts. The framing was troubling her. “But that kinda sounds like you own them, doesn’t it?”
“Ah,” Caleb said, and his smile twisted into an evil grin. It made Julie incredibly uncomfortable. “Of course it does. I do own them, after all.”
-----
That had been over a year ago, and Julie had never let go of the topic. Not really. While she did enjoy the magic, she couldn’t wrap her head around the idea of owning people.
“What about human rights?” Julie asked one evening. “Why aren’t ghosts entitled to human rights?”
Caleb didn’t look up from his newspaper. He was sitting in an armchair, legs crossed. “What makes you believe they should be?” He sounded bored.
“Well, they used to be human?”
“Exactly,” Caleb said, finally looking up. “Used to. Past tense. Now, they are parasites. They feed on our magic like ticks.”
Julie bit her lip to stop herself from grimacing in disgust. She hated how he phrased it. Nevertheless, it didn’t change the facts. The ghosts needed their magic to exist. No magic – no ghosts.
“Besides,” Caleb continued, “They knew the conditions. And they all happily agreed to the deal.”
“I know, but—”
“That reminds me …” Obviously, Caleb was done with the discussion. Folding the newspaper, he put it aside, then said to the otherwise unoccupied room, “Lucas.”
In the blink of an eye, Luke materialized out of thin air.
Julie’s heart stuttered in her chest. Unlike Caleb, who regarded his ghosts as a means to an end, Julie treated them with respect and kindness. She could only hope they appreciated it. Reggie swore he and his friends did. He’d even told her that they liked her. But …
Julie chanced a glance at Luke. He didn’t look thrilled to be here. But as soon as he clocked her, his face darkened. Scowling, he shoved his hands into the pockets of his cut-off hoodie.
Yeah, it had been a year, and her relationship with Luke was complicated.
Tbc... <- HAHA! Don't believe her!

one last question-
The sky is falling, our world as we know it is crumbling at your feet- two people stand before you. only one of them you can alert to the issue and save. The first is a man, he wears a dark trench coat and leather satchel bag. His eyes are hazel, complimenting curly back hair and a mocha skin tone perfectly. A tattoo traces down what you can see of this man's neck- music notes cascading out of view. There is sheet music poking out of his bag too, as you see upon further inspection. He has a kind smile but sad eyes, good posture and an infuriating cowlick. He loves his hand slowly and you notice the rings he carries as they clack together noisily, one on each finger. Different sizes and shapes, each one unique and alien to the next. The second is of undeterminable gender, their hair is short and choppy; as if cut blindfolded in the dark, and dyed an unfortunately bright shade of blue. Freckles and sea green eyes meet your gaze in a manner that would almost be cold if not for the fact that they are smiling brightly with so much joy that it borders on infectious. Piercings litter their pale face, nose, eyebrow, snake bite. Somehow, this person makes the metal fixtures look downright endearing. A scar runs down their neck, a remnant of a burn if you aren't mistaken, it disappears beneath the collar of their shirt and you forget the menacing demeanour in which it stood out instantly. Beneath a denim jacket adorned with many different pins and colourful badges, this person wears only brown corduroy trousers and an oversized sweater. That, too, seems strangely endearing.
(I did my best to sound like an NPC giving you a choice, okay?)
(also, yeah, person two is enby they/them I just didn't know how to put it)
sorry for the late answer, tbh i had to debate what i'm answering haha. yeah, i still don't know...
i would say that i'd just shout it out loud so that both of them hear it but i know that's not how this works. in reality i'd probably think about it too long (i can never make choices right away, especially not important ones) so that we'd all die together lmao. however, in theory, i kinda havevto choose. see, i usually don't have a huge problem with these 'moral dilemma' type of questions like for example the one with the train tracks where you can either save one person or 5 or something, because there i just always choose to save the most lives but here? it's one person or one other. damn, that sucks. also, i'm basically just sharing my thought process now bcs i don't know what to do haha
to skip me having the same thoughts over and over again, and to make it short: i believe if i HAD to choose one of the people to be saved, it's likely that i'd choose the first person. this is actually not an active choice and more of a 'what i know would happen' thing tho, bcs i'd find that person more attractive than the other and that's pretty much how the human brain works. psychology student here hehe. so yeah, basically that's the choice i would make without wanting to make a choice if that makes sense?
(also you did a great job, don't worry)
(haha don't worry about it, you expressed that in an understandable enough way)

pairing: douxie x fem!reader
warnings: kinda sorta smut? college parties, name calling (baby, darling, love), making out, straddling, pussy palming through panties, slight groping, saliva, hickeys.
"um guys we have a bit of a problem here"
you and douxie looked at each other from opposite ends of the closet.
"what is it?!", you had to yell over the loud music downstairs.
"yeah so the lock on the closet door broke…and the technician won't be here for another hour"
you rolled your eyes. of course this had to happen. of course you were in a closet with hisirdoux casperan. of course the 'innocent game' of seven minutes in heaven had to go wrong. but you couldn't do anything about it. of course not.
"okay that's fine, adam. go back down to the party", douxie spoke to the other side of the door. adam asked, "are you sure?" "yeah, adam. just go"
you accepted your fate. the fate that you would be stuck in a closet with douxie for a whole hour. adam's footsteps receded as you rested your head back against the wall. after a few minutes of (comfortable) silence, you heard a gasp of revelation. "what.", you asked in annoyance.
"portal us outta here"
"i'm sorry?". he straightened up and looked right at you. "c'mon portal us out of here. we don't have to stay here for a whole hour then"
damn. you did not think of that.
"no", you did not want to go home right now. "why not? do you wanna keep spending time with me, darling?" you scoffed and straightened up too.
"because i have too many things to do at home and i don't wanna do them right now.
..but i know something i can do" "that sounds promising". you gestured for him to come over to you, "'c'mere i'm doing your eyeliner".
"how did you bring eyeliner to a college party when you're wearing a flowy skirt? you have no pockets", he questioned. "you are correct, hisirdoux. and that's why i snuck it into your jacket pocket before we left the bookstore". he reached into the right pocket of his leather jacket and took out an eyeliner pen. "smart girl", he said and tossed the pen to you.
you caught it and gestured again, "come here now". he sat next to you and rested his head on top of yours. "now you're really fine with me doing your eyeliner?", you were a bit surprised he hasn't rejected your request.
"yep, i wanna see what you do with me". you could practically hear the smirk on his face.
you straddled him and his hands almost immediately went to your waist. "now close your eyes and don't flutter them", he did as told. you drew straight lines with eyeliner across his eyelids.
you finished prettying him up quicker than you thought. and just stared at him.
you don't know how long you stared but you couldn't stop looking at him…his lips. until his voice brought you back, and his hand. he raised your face up by your chin to look him in the eyes. don't forget this man is almost 6 feet.
"enjoying the view, love?"
you tried to say something, anything. but his hazel eyes were too fucking gorgeous. you could only hum. "mhm", but it came out more of a squeak. "i thought so. c'mere".
he attached his lips to your neck and started pressing wet, sloppy, and hot kisses up and down your neck. down to your collarbones.. and back up to your jawline.
he nipped at just the right places to make you squeeze his shirt every so gently. he left dark purple spots on your neck that let a moan out of you.
he trailed his lips up to the shell of your ear and started kissing. "that was a beautiful sound, darling". he licked and kissed the place behind your ear, going back up to the shell of your ear. "make it again for me, won't you?".
"fuck..-", he sucked the very section of your neck which made you squirm. "aa~".
he switched to the left side of your neck and did the same thing. you can normally come up with the perfect response but the way his lips were biting and licking your skin left you in a state of euphoria.
after a solid 10 minutes of teasing you and listening to your moans as if they were his favourite genre of music, you decided to switch things up.
his hands were still tracing up and down your waist, playing with the hem of your skirt. you took his hands and pinned them above his head, forcing his head (and his lips as a result) to be pulled back.
"you've been kissing everywhere but my lips, casperan," you leaned in close where your lips were ghosting his, "are you stalling for something?". you didn't give him time to react or reply and you immediately started kissing and sucking along his neck.
god you were driving him mad. he let out breathy moans and mumbled "fucks" whenever you sucked on his sweet spot, which happened a lot.
your lipstick was now smudged all over his neck and your mouth. "can i have my hand back now?". you leaned in close to his ear, kissing it once, then twice, then another time (all the while harmonic sighs coming from him).
"now why would i do that, pretty boy?", still whispering into his ear. he threw his head back. "so i can touch you the way i've been dying to for so damn long". now who wouldn't comply to that?
you let go of his hands and they went down to your waist, then your hips, then your thighs under your skirt. now it was your turn you lift his chin up. but this time, you kissed his lips.
it was nuclear. you straightened your back and he did the same. he pulled you impossibly closer to the point where you were probably seated on his cock.
"haa-". he slipped his tongue in your mouth and started sucking on your own. his hands were roaming up and down your thighs. "don't put your hand there". he removed his hand from your legs and you took his hand in yours again.
without saying a word, you placed his hand on your inner thigh. he hummed into your mouth and went back down to your collarbones and started sucking again.
oh no. right there. that was your spot.
"d-doux. that's-ffuck".
that was it for him. he threw his head back and closed his eyes in pure ecstasy. you were gonna ask why he stopped but you found something much better.
"ahh! m-mm fuck". he was rubbing your pussy with three of his fingers. his long, slender, guitarist fingers.
"you're driving me crazy, baby". he kept at it. "so fucking wet". he looked at you again and traced your lips with his thumb, opening your mouth a bit.
you kept kissing him. the moaning and humming didn't stop. soon you were sucking and licking at each other's necks again. both of your hands weren't getting off each other any time soon.
he kept palming your pussy like there was no tomorrow, your panties getting wetter and wetter by the minute. the moans coming out of your mouth and the way you moaned out his name made him moan straight into your mouth.
"mm~"
"aah a-ah fuck"
"doux fuck"
"darling~ fuck. f-fuck y/n"
"y-y/n you're driving me insane"
you both wanted so much more than this. just when you were going to unbuckle his belt, the worst thing happened.
"guys! the technician's here!", adam's voice came from the other side of the closet.
you both cussed at stupid adam and his stupid technician. he removed his hand from under your skirt and you straightened his jacket collar. you shuffled off him and you both stood up. he quickly grabbed your wrist and kissed your neck and whispered in your ear.
"we're not done here, y/n".

Spare me because I'm not feeling well. I am a sucker for this.
ROS +UNCLE LUKA REACT TO FLOWER CROWNS.
🥺
I don't know why I like them.
Aww I hope you get well soon 🙏 and for your question, I’m gonna assume MC is the one who made and gave the flower crowns to the characters and that MC and the ROs are officially dating 🥰
Also, I might’ve gotten a bit carried away with Luka’s section; I had a blast writing it 😂
Ash
“M—MC, what—?” They fluster as you gently set the flower crown on top of their tousled hair. You step back and admire your handiwork; you almost chuckle as the colorful flowers contradict their black leather jacket and jeans.
They reach up gingerly to touch the crown, cheeks flushing bright red. “D—Do I look good? I think it might take down my intimidation factor by quite a bit,” they joke. You send them a thumbs up, reassuring them that they look cute perfect!
They won’t take it off for the rest of the day, and when the other members of the family look at them funny, they’ll just glare. “What the fuck are you looking at, huh?” They bark in irritation.
Rin
They stay quiet as you gently set the flower crown on their head. You step back and admire your handiwork and… oh wow, they actually wear it really well. Somehow, it adds to their aura of elegance despite the colorful flowers standing out from their more sleek, modern, and sharp formal outfit.
They stand proudly. “Well?” They cock their eyebrow inquisitively at you. “How do I look? Like a mix of a businessman and a fairy undoubtedly,” they deadpan. You tell them sincerely that they look perfect. They nod knowingly, as if already expecting the answer.
They’ll end up wearing it for the rest of the day, meeting with other important people. Most are reluctant to comment on it while some complimented their new look.
Santana
“Oh!” They say softly as you gently set the flower crown on top of their head. You step back and admire your handiwork; the colorful flowers seem to brighten the usually tired face of the overworked detective, bringing out the beautiful hazel color of their eyes.
“You made it yourself, MC? It’s really nice… Thank you…” They send you a fond smile. “I bet they kinda clash with my outfit… But I don’t care,” they say, glancing down at their more subdued-colored outfit.
They decide to wear the flower crown for the rest of the day. Some of their more annoying colleagues snicker and send snide comments about it as they pass, but they don’t pay them any mind; the only thing they care is that MC made it especially for them and they love it.
Skylar
“Oh! What’s that, MC?” You quickly swerve out of their range as they try to grab the flower crown, insisting on putting it on them yourself. They concede. “Alright, alright…” they sigh as you set it down on top of their head.
You step back and admire your handiwork and… okay, the colorful flowers actually don’t clash that much with their outfit, instead, they seem to bring out the clear blue of their eyes even more.
Striking the generic superhero pose, they grin lopsidedly as they glance at you. “Ooh! I already know I look handsome/pretty just from seeing your face right now,” they chuckle.
You pout and huff, turning away indignantly. They start chuckling even louder as you send them a stink-eye. They step closer to you and give you a peck on the cheek fondly. “Awww, please don’t get mad, MC. You’re just too cute!”
They wear the flower crown all day long, taking selfies with some fans along the way and soon, the pictures go viral online, especially among their fanbase. Suddenly, wearing flower crown becomes a trend for quite a while in Elysium City.
Luka
“Uh… What’s this, MC?” He gingerly touches the flower crown that you set down on his head, the black leather gloves run over the flower petals with surprising gentleness .
You step back to admire your handiwork. You suppress a chuckle; the colorful flowers stand out boldly from Uncle Luka’s dark, midnight hair and they clash strongly against his all black outfit.
“Flower crown, huh? I see you haven’t lost the touch of creativity that you’ve had ever since you were just a wee little boy/girl/kid.” He ruffles your hair fondly. “Thanks, kiddo.”
He wears the flower crown for the rest of the day, not really giving a fuck what anyone thinks and no one dares to say anything about it… Except for his own boyfriend. When he sees Luka, Jackal bursts out cackling.
Luka pouts. “Hey! Stop laughing! My nephew/niece/nibling made this for me, alright? And I want to support them,” Luka huffs.
“Oh, I’m not laughing at the flower crown itself; it’s really well-made.” Jackal wipes away a tear.
“Ha ha, I get it; you’re laughing at me. I’ll just take it off—”
Jackal grabs Luka’s hand, quickly intercepting him from reaching the flower crown, and steps close to him. “Nope, don’t you dare take it off. I think you look adorable with it,” he says softly, tip-toeing to give Luka a quick kiss on the lips, before stepping back out of Luka’s reach just as quickly.
“And you better still be wearing it tonight, alright?” He winks naughtily at Luka, who’s still standing frozen in place, blue eyes blinking owlishly and a flush coloring his usually pale cheeks.
Luka shakes his head, snapping himself out of his momentary stupor. “Yes, sir…” he chuckles, flashing Jackal a half-flirtatious, half-mischievous little grin.
