Okay so a guy in my solid state physics class was telling us about this muon scanning startup he worked at, GScan, and I'm going insane. I don't work there and I have no stake in the company, financial or otherwise, I just need to tell you about it.

Muons are short-lived subatomic particles, same charge as an electron but ~200 times more massive. On Earth, they're produced by cosmic rays colliding with the upper atmosphere, and they hit the ground at a rate of about ten thousand per minute per square meter.
They're moving extremely fast at ground level, like 0.99 c. So they careen right through matter, deflecting only very slightly around heavy atomic nuclei – they'll penetrate like a hundred meters into solid rock.
What do you do with this continuous shower of deep-penetrating charged particles, constantly blanketing every square inch of the Earth's surface?

(source)
The classic thing is use them to image the inside of massive structures, like we use x-rays to look inside living tissue – except instead of generating them yourself, you just use atmospheric muons. Muon archeology is a whole thing, they've used it to find hidden chambers in pyramids and stuff. Neat!
But this one Estonian company is doing some crazy bullshit and I love it.
Sandwich anything between a pair of portable muon detectors and get full 3D imaging of the interior, with sub-millimeter accuracy, by tracking the minute deflection of muons between them. Samples that are WAY too thick for x-rays, made of literally anything. Just put some muon detectors on some two by fours in a warehouse and call it a day.
You can just. Image anything??? Anything you want?? Completely passively!! Just detectors! No particle source! Put them anywhere. The detectors themselves are a mature technology, the company's tech is in the algorithms they use to get this level of spatial and elemental resolution.
You can detect failures inside cable-reinforced concrete bridges without cutting open the bridges.
Decommissioned Soviet nuclear submarine filled with concrete, with no drawings or documentation, that may or may not have spent fuel canisters in it? And you need to cut it up for storage? Just look at the muons.
One of the wackiest ideas is to put one detector under your bed and one on the ceiling, so you get a full 3D scan of your body every night, passively. I want one.

You serve: Lovers, clients, collaborators. Wellness style: Balance, connection, mirrored growth. “Your peace = my peace.”
6th House Ruler in the 8th House
You work in the shadows.
You may serve through healing, therapy, finances, or emotional transformation. You’re private about your daily habits and need depth + purpose in your work to avoid burnout. You serve: Through psychological or energetic work. Wellness style: Detox, shadow work, deep rest. “My work transforms me — and others.”

6th House Ruler in the 10th House
You turn routines into legacy.
Work is your identity. You’re ambitious, career-oriented, and likely to rise in your field due to your consistency. You might manage others or become known for your service. You serve: Through leadership, professionalism, influence. Wellness style: Structured, goal-driven, visible. “Work hard, shine harder.”
6th House Ruler in the 11th House
You serve the collective.
You may work within communities, collectives, or online spaces. You need freedom and innovation in your day-to-day — and you’re likely to rebel against rigid schedules. You serve: Friends, networks, causes. Wellness style: Group classes, tech tools, unconventional methods. “My work serves the future.”
6th House Ruler in the 12th House
Invisible service, sacred structure.
You work best in solitude, or in healing/behind-the-scenes roles. Your routines may be intuitive or chaotic, and wellness is deeply tied to your emotional + spiritual state. You serve: Spirit, the unseen, vulnerable populations. Wellness style: Sleep, silence, dreams, energetic healing “Sacred rest is my medicine.”

✨📲From Desires to DMs: The 11th Lord’s Role in Today’s Life 💸🤝
Note: These are just my personal observations and recurring patterns I've noticed over the years. This post is based on principles from Vedic astrology. Take what resonates with you and feel free to leave what doesn’t. I’d love to hear your thoughts, so feel free to share in the comments if any of this resonates or reflects your own experience.
11th lord in 1H
You come across as witty, charming, and naturally optimistic. You have a poetic way of expressing yourself and a gift for speaking that draws others in. Generosity comes easily to you, and luck often shows up when you need it most. Life may throw you into strange and silly accidents, sometimes even sending you to the hospital unexpectedly. Still, you’re someone who can manifest your desires through personal effort. If you have an elder brother, they might face health challenges. In many cases, you are the firstborn or the only child in your family. Marriage tends to bring more comfort and material happiness into your life. You attract good friends and can rise to success through self-employment. Fame, wealth, and even awards are within reach, especially if you pursue singing. However, if this placement is afflicted, it can bring setbacks, including the rare but serious loss of an elder sibling.
Self-branding, influencer vibes, personal blog, lifestyle reels.
11th lord in 2H
You give off serious PR manager energy. You know how to charm, persuade, and make things happen with your words. Your friend circle is more than just social, it’s profitable. Joint ventures and investments often work in your favor. You might be low-key famous in your circle, whether as the quiet observer, the quirky one, or the center of attention. Careers in sales or banking suit you well and can bring solid financial rewards. Wealth can also come through your spouse, or even through donations if you're involved in activism or run an NGO. You're someone who knows how to turn social capital into actual capital.
Invests in crypto, runs a budgeting YouTube channel, side hustles for savings.
11th lord in 3H
Your elder sibling (if u have one) might become successful or headed that way. They tend to support you, and your bond with siblings in general is strong. There's a chance your sibling is the same gender as you. You're wired for self-employment and can build wealth by standing your ground and outsmarting your rivals. Moving far from home could boost your career and raise your status. Creative fields like writing, poetry, singing, or music are lucky for you. Not only do they bring joy, but they can also lead to real profits.
Content creator, viral tweets, runs a newsletter, digital marketer.
11th lord in 4H
You find joy through your maternal side unless the chart throws a curveball. You might actually feel closer to your father if he’s around. You're a smart worker, not a hard one. If money allows, you'd gladly outsource chores to a maid or even a robot. Investing in vehicles could bring profits, and real estate or agriculture might be other solid income streams. You tend to be practical, maybe even money-minded. Scholarships, higher studies, and awards are well within reach. Your mother is likely kind-hearted, and your spouse could be both fortunate and charming. Parental property might come your way, too, if it exists.
Home decor vlogs, real estate flipping, cozy aesthetic Instagram.
11th lord in 5H
You're or would be the kind of parent other kids wish they had like cool, wise, and totally in control of the future. You may share a strong bond with your father, and your own children will likely be just as attached to you. Gains can come through your spouse and even your kids. You value education and have a natural flair for being classy. The stock market, investments, and even a little gambling might bring in good profits, especially if you play your cards right. You're someone who blends brains with bold moves.
Stock tips on TikTok, sells art/NFTs, runs a fan page, livestreams games.
11th lord in 6H
You may have dealt with health issues or felt betrayed by friends or co-workers at some point. If you have an elder sibling, legal disputes or tensions with them might surface. You're logical, sharp, and a quiet fighter that's more strategic than aggressive. If you dream of running your own business, moving away from home could open doors to success. Loans can work in your favor but always read the fine print. If this placement is afflicted, relationships with elder siblings may suffer, and older people at work might try to undermine you or dump their issues on you.
Posts productivity hacks, LinkedIn power moves, wellness and fitness reels.
11th lord in 7H
You gain a lot through your spouse and their family, often enjoying a strong bond with them. You're naturally sensual, and at times, your spouse may have the upper hand in the relationship. This is a great placement for buying property or investing in a home. Before marriage, you might attract partners with hidden agendas, or you might be the one with them. Your elder sibling or grandparents could live far from you. Working with international clients or in internet-based fields brings success. You build a solid reputation, especially if you work abroad or run your own business. People tend to see you as a leader and may even follow your lead. If this placement is afflicted, it can bring serious challenges, including the loss of an elder sibling or spouse in extreme cases.
Couple vlogs, business with partner, relationship advice account.
11th lord in 8H
You’re built for the long run, but your spouse may not outlive you. You have a strong sensual side and might explore fleeting connections before finding "the one". There’s a magnetic pull toward taboo or hidden things, and you might even turn that into a career like adult content, sex work, or platforms like OnlyFans. You could also attract partners with similar paths, along with fame-obsessed partners, before settling down. Sudden, unexpected gains may come through the loss of close relatives. Fame might hit overnight, too, especially through viral moments or shock value.
OnlyFans, tarot TikTok, anonymous confessions, deep dive YouTube videos.
11th lord in 9H
You're fortunate, wise, and speak with clarity and truth. You're the kind of person who might one day be honored by the government or your workplace for something meaningful you’ve done for the greater good. Knowledge flows naturally to you, and there's potential to inherit property through grandparents or extended family. Your father may be supportive and well-off, or in some cases, you might have a stepfather instead. Recognition, awards, and even fame are likely especially in foreign lands. If your hometown doesn’t get you, the world just might. You’re made to shine beyond borders.
Travel vlogs, spiritual podcast, shares study abroad tips.
11th lord in 10H
You’re naturally wise and speak with honesty. You tend to overcome enemies in every sense, be it social, professional, or mental. You’re likely to care deeply for your mother, especially in her old age, though your relationship with your father may feel distant. Career success grows with age, and you’re likely to settle in a good, respectable neighborhood. Roles tied to the government or authority can bring you recognition, wealth, and a solid reputation. You’re someone who can profit easily from your profession, and multiple streams of income are definitely part of your path.
Career coach, TEDx speaker, shares hustle culture content.
11th lord in 11H
Your knowledge grows steadily as you’re a lifelong learner with an ever-curious mind. You’re likely to want a big family, whether that means many kids, adopted children, or even a house full of pets. Longevity, effortless success, and easy money tend to come with time. You may inherit ancestral property or receive support through an elder sibling if you have one. Your friend circle is a source of gains and opportunities. You carry a natural drive to always want more like more growth, more success, more connections.
Online community builder, event organizer, group chats for networking.
11th lord in 12H
You may unknowingly create obstacles for yourself. You might be surrounded by people yet still feel lonely or misunderstood. Earnings from foreign lands can be highly rewarding, and settling abroad could bring peace. If you have elder siblings, they may face health issues, or in rare cases, pass away early. You tend to connect deeply with outsiders, people from different cultures, or even strangers online, sometimes more than with those around you. You may carry heavy family responsibilities. Health-wise, there’s a possibility of insomnia, migraines, weak eyesight, and in very rare cases, even blindness. Donating to charity and engaging in selfless acts can help ease some of the more difficult effects of this placement.

[The house placement of the Groom asteroid in the groom pc will show where in life, as a husband, his focus as a husband will be most evident, and where within the marriage his role as a husband will be most impactful. Its aspects show how this energy interfaces with other parts of his persona chart to influence his approach to love, partnership, and shared goals.]
[PS: For entertainment purposes only. Have fun.💚]
💐💐💐💐💐💐-------------💐💐💐💐💐💐
1st House
Groom in the 1st house is indicative of the groom who assumes the character of a husband with the utmost pride and confidence, his identity being closely hooked to the role of the husband in the marriage; he sees himself as both a leader and protector in the relationship. He is likely to be very initiative-taking and make sure his partner feels valued and taken care of. However, his strong focus on a role might at times make him overly concerned with appearances or what people expect. An ideal partner for him likes his sense of responsibility yet encourages him to be a little vulnerable. This placement favors a groom who seeks shared growth and harmony in marriage.
2nd House
Groom in the 2nd house brings forth a groom desirous of stability, security, and material comfort in marriage. He is likely to be a dependable provider, working hard to build a solid foundation for his family. His approach to marriage is practical and grounded, emphasizing mutual respect and shared goals. However, he might sometimes equate love with material provision, overlooking emotional intimacy. His partner should remind him that emotional connection is just as vital. This placement suggests a marriage based on trust, mutual effort, and shared financial goals.
3rd House
Groom in the 3rd house shows a groom who wants to communicate, intellectually connect with, and share ideas in a marriage. He is sure to be articulate and a thoughtful partner, engaging his spouse in meaningful conversations and encouraging open dialogue. His ideal relationship thrives on mutual learning and intellectual growth. He might, at times, however, be given to overthinking his emotions or avoiding deep feelings and going into intellectual discussions. His partner needs to encourage him to strike a balance between logic and the expression of emotions. This placement promises a marriage based on mutual understanding and clarity in communication.

4th House
He is very attached to family and home when it is placed in the 4th house. He looks upon marriage as the starting point to establish a loving, secure home, primarily with the aim of maintaining a harmonious atmosphere and peaceful domestic life. He can be very caring and overprotective, wanting to let his partner stay in shelter for comfort. Yet at times, this may make him overly concerned with home life and wary of alterations. The partner needs to support his need for stability and build up flexibility. This placement suggests a groom who gets fulfillment from the emotional and familial aspects of marriage.
5th House
Groom in the 5th house points to a groom who would marry with passion, creativity, and a great belief in romance. He thrives on shared joy and seeks a partner who can bring excitement and spontaneity into the relationship. His marriage is likely to be filled with laughter, adventures, and romantic gestures. However, his need for constant excitement might at times override deeper emotional needs. His partner should try to get him to balance up the fun with deeper connection. This placement does indicate a groom who considers marriage a celebration of love and shared experiences.
6th House
In the 6th house indicates that this is a hardworking and dedicated groom who will try with all his might to be of practical service to his spouse. He values teamwork and tries to maintain a balance and order in marriage. His ideal relationship should be based on mutual support and sharing responsibilities. His perfectionism, however, may sometimes overwork or make him sacrifice too much of himself. His partner would need to remind him that he needs to take better care of his emotional needs and himself. This placement would show a groom who finds satisfaction in serving and supporting loved ones.
7th House
This placement can suggest that the groom views marriage as a partnership of equals. Groom in the 7th house is all about harmony, balance, and mutual respect in the relationship. He is looking for someone to complement him and one who believes in open communication and joint decision-making. He is very much a committed partner but at times might tend to avoid confrontations because he focuses too much on balance. His wife needs to be encouraging of frank discussions and emotional openness. This placement can indicate a groom who is at ease in relationships based on mutual trust and respect.

8th House
In the 8th house is indicative of a groom who desires deep emotional and physical intimacy within marriage. He is drawn to transformative experiences and seeks a partner who matches his intensity and depth. He needs trust, vulnerability, and emotional connection. Marriage for him is often a path to mutual growth and healing. His passion is the strength here, though it can turn possessive or emotionally turbulent at times. His partner needs to foster balance and frank communication. This placement indicates that the groom finds deep meaning in an emotional and spiritual connecting with his partner.
9th House
Groom in the 9th House: Being with an explorer, studying and growing with a life companion, and seeking or taking a spiritually growing road within marriage-these will provide the base for partnership to this kind of individual. He foresees love filled with travel and studying or with the discussion of world outlooks together. His union would involve exchanging culture or undertaking some spiritual voyage. At the same time, one should realize that too much idealism fosters restlessness and perhaps unreal views about marriage. The partner should keep him grounded, yet support his desire to learn and grow. This is the placement of a groom who enjoys shared adventure and mental stimulation.
10th House
Groom in the 10th house indicates that for the groom, marriage is a partnership in supporting his public image and life ambitions. He is ambitious and looks for a spouse that can support his vision and ambition. His approach to marriage is very practical and goal-oriented, always focusing on shared achievements. The same strength of his-namely, the focusing on external accomplishments-could at times shadow the emotional intimacy. The partner will help him strike a balance between his ambition and personal connection. This placement suggests a groom who looks at marriage as coming together of two people in building a legacy.

11th House
Groom in the 11th house indicates a groom who desires shared ideals, social connection, and community involvement with his marriage partner. He is drawn to partnerships that can facilitate change or contribute something to a higher purpose. His ideal spouse shares his vision for making a difference and supports his dreams. While his idealism is laudable, it may at times lead him to sacrifice personal needs for the greater good. His partner needs to encourage him to strike a balance between social aspirations and private connection. This placement promises a marriage based on shared values and mutual inspiration.
12th House
In the 12th house brings out the sensitivity of a groom emotionally and his spiritual approach to marriage. He searches for a partner who will understand his introspective nature and help him sail through his inner world. This could play a very significant role in his marriage, as deep-seated trust, forgiveness, and emotional healing could make a great impact on the self-realization of individuals. Very empathetic and sensitive, he may struggle to let his emotions be seen out in the open. His partner should create an environment of safety where vulnerability can be experienced and self-awareness nurtured. He sees this marriage as a spiritual journey-one filled with growth lessons and change.

🦋Lilith in the houses shows the area of life where the shadow is deeply rooted and where you will face the greatest persistent challenges of your life🦋
🖤Lilith in the 1st house: The greatest challenges of your hidden side are deeply related to how you feel about yourself. The “dark side” is rooted in the way you use your personal energy, which generally motivates your sense of well-being. Personal appearance or the way you present yourself to others is often a major concern. If that shadow, that hidden side of your personality, somehow maintains control, your behavior patterns will be strongly reflected.
🖤Lilith in the 2nd house: The greatest challenges of your hidden side are deeply related to the degree of security you feel, financial matters seem to plague you. This dark side blurs the lines between emotional needs and financial and material needs; your attitudes toward your partners may depend on issues of security. Your hidden side is rooted in your value system, and may seem at times at odds with your conduct.
🖤Lilith in the 3rd House: The greatest challenges of your hidden inner side are deeply related to self-expression. The shadow side is rooted in rigid attitudes and strong opinions that can cause you no end of trouble. You are sometimes overcome with overwhelming confusion about the direction you want to take in your life; in the early years of life, Lilith has a more pronounced effect on you than on other people. Childhood growths weave their way through life and manifest later in the most forceful ways. Problems with your siblings may persist into adulthood.
🖤Lilith in the 4th House: The greatest challenges of your hidden, inner side are related to the foundations of your life and sense of home. The shadow side is rooted with an over-identification with your home and you put a lot of effort into cultivating a sense of belonging. With this situation, relationships with parents (especially the mother) are often difficult, especially if your father did not provide a solid home. There is a tendency to get stuck in the past and/or an inability to forgive and forget.
🖤Lilith in the 5th House: The biggest challenges of your most intimate and hidden side are related to the ability to truly enjoy life. This shadow is rooted in the search for pleasure but has difficulty finding it. You are prone to taking risks in order to feel stimulated, problems with your father are found with this situation, your father may have been absent or acted negligently. This shadow side may also focus on children, either not wanting to be a father or if you were to be one, not taking proper care of them.
🖤Lilith in the 6th House: The biggest challenges of your most intimate and hidden side are related to health and work. Sometimes problems with coworkers may appear, especially in relation to the perception of your work performance. The shadow side is rooted in the level of self-discipline you have, you can often be accused of being disorganized. There is also a tendency to vacillate between ignoring your body or focusing too much on it, which leads to worrying about your health.
🖤Lilith in the 7th House: The biggest challenges of your innermost, hidden side are related to partnerships and commitment. This shadow side is motivated by the urge to seek mutually satisfying relationships, which are often difficult to achieve. In addition, other people find ways to take advantage of you, sometimes to the point of betraying you. Life often seems unfair to you, and others would probably agree. In the midst of this, you may also have issues of dependency or neediness.
🖤Lilith in the 8th House: The biggest challenges of your innermost, hidden side are related to death, inheritance, investments, and sex. This is the most difficult situation of the Black Moon. The shadow side is rooted in loss, in fact, you may feel that your life only leads to loss. With Lilith in the 8th house, chronic anxiety may be present. Lilith in the 8th house puts you in touch with power. You may not notice it at all or not want to admit that people use your powers. There is also the possibility that you misjudge your own power by suppressing others.
🖤Lilith in the 9th House: The biggest challenges of your inner, hidden side are related to your outlook or philosophy on life, religion, spirituality, higher education, law, and the world in general. This shadow is deeply rooted in morality, holding strong opinions that often lead to conflict with others. There is a tendency to feel disconnected from others or from yourself. You may even feel compelled to isolate yourself from the world around you.
🖤Lilith in the 10th House: The biggest challenges of your inner, hidden side are related to ambition, authority, social status, and responsibility. Tradition and family obligations are important to you. This shadow is rooted in a sense of duty, high aspirations, and keeping a close eye on your progress in the world compared to others. You have high standards and expectations that can cause interpersonal difficulties if you demand too much from others.
🖤Lilith in the 11th House: The biggest challenges of your inner, hidden side are related to your hopes, desires, and dreams. The shadow is about how you fit into the global village. The issues of “one against the other” follow you and you may often be accused of being selfish or self-centered. Change is usually a difficult thing for you to handle.
🖤Lilith in the 12th House: The biggest challenges to your inner, hidden side are related to unconscious motivations, addictions, institutions, and enemies. The shadow is deeply rooted in everything that is hidden. By its very nature is hidden, so this situation is difficult to understand. You often know a side of yourself that is unknown to most people. You may have a degree of emotional suffering that is not apparent to others until they get to know you.

Forgive me if I'm mistaking you for another person, but I remember you speaking at multiple points on the unsustainability of free social media services (I think especially in response to the cohost collapse?), and I'm curious on what your thoughts on bluesky are so far. I'm not an expert on the subject, but from what I've read previously it seemed like they were on track to be financially sustainable, but I don't know if the recent floods of users has thrown those projections off. Sorry if I'm mixing you up with someone else on my timeline, in that case just ignore me.
bluesky will almost certainly follow the same trajectory of monetisation => bloat => enshittification => decline as every other major platform built on venture capital and user hoarding. it's a terrible model that only works in the short term as a mirage for attracting funding and making founders look good for a year or two before they sell.
you can see the same effect in the decline of all the subscription box services that came into vogue just before covid: they feel great to use for as long as the initial injection of venture funding lasts, because the purpose of that funding at that stage is to attract users and impress the next round of funders with how pleasant/intuitive/efficient/ethical/good value the service is. that's the stage where they're handing out freebies and bowling over influencers, and every ingredient in the box is fresh and high quality and locally sourced. wow what a good deal, what a great system!!! why hasn't anyone done this before? the answer is because it's unsustainable by design. they rack up good reviews, sign on a billion new users, attract new funding from a bunch of much more credulous investors, and then gut all of the expensive parts. portions get smaller, ingredients get worse, packaging gets flimsier, prices go up, freebies turn into "5% off your first 9 boxes when you invite 3 friends", and customer service vanishes.
with social media (and platforms like discord) the logic is the same, it's just a little less glaringly obvious to the end user because they're not coming home to leaking packages of rancid chicken on the doorstep. bluesky has an advantage over tiny operations like cohost because it was founded by a billionaire making a point for the sake of his own image. it got a really significant chunk of startup funding, and the owner had existing connections and rep in the space to attract more. That's why it has survived the goldrush period, why it still feels good to use, and why users who have been burned so many times before are finally accepting it as a stable, reliable option. It's still in its venture capital honeymoon phase where the only thing worth spending money on is making the service attractive to users.
What I expect we will see next, with another mass influx of users from twitter and new funding from a rogue's gallery of tech venture sickos led by Blockchain Capital is a strong ramp up into monetising that userbase. They've already been pretty forthright about how they plan to do this, and I think it's a solid roadmap of how Bluesky will bloat and decay over the next few years:

this is a huge lol. don't worry, we're not going to hyperfinancialize the social experience through NFTs. the thing even crypto freaks started feigning amnesia about a year ago. real "our health conscious sodas are 100% arsenic free" messaging here. They know perfectly well that rubes users are suspicious of their typical 5 dimensional tech finance chess games and are patting our hands about last week's bogeymen so nobody worries too hard about whatever 'decentralised developer ecosystem' just happens to be helmed by a bunch of crypto guys. this definitely means something good and based and not a google-like single sign on user data harvesting operation.

This is the same shit that's currently rotting the floorboards of discord. Bluntly, there is no way to run a platform on this scale without gating functionality behind paid services. Discord has been squeezing free-tier file uploads and call quality etc. down steadily and cranking up subscription costs over the last year or two, throwing in chaff like animated avatar frames to try and justify the user cost. They're also doing the same misdirection thing again here, pointing to Thing We All Hate to deflect from thing we might not like very much when they do it. Booo elon booo we all hate elon!!! wait how do we feel about subscription models again,

watch out for this to kill porn on bsky like it has killed porn on every other social platform 👍 boooo we hate elon boooo stupid idiot and his 'everything app' booooo wait why do you need my tax information, what's that about mastercard,
Look, we are all aware social media is a money pit. Let's not forget dorsey was looking to sell twitter in the first place, long before elon's very public plunge into total online derangement. Subscription services are not going to plug the hole, so we are gradually going to see more and more spaghetti thrown at the wall while early funders shuffle cards and do their pyramid scheme bit bringing in stupider and stupider investments. this is the window in which bluesky will be temporarily worth using for us, for the idiot public, the poorly rendered crowd jpegs in the background of their venture capital MOBA. it's in their interests to slow and pad the decline as much as possible, because that is how they get maximally paid.
Given the scale of the money involved, and dorsey's weird ego investment, I think bluesky will probably manage a controlled drift for a good few years before it gets really bloated and painful. and by then we will all be so used to the *checks notes* decentralised developer ecosystem that we'll just be posting through it, watching another generation of columnists call another collapsing platform 'their beloved hellsite' and passing around that meme about not getting out of our chairs no sir until idk we all get on a fediverse neurolink alternative to stick it to the elongated muskrat and our brains pop peacefully in our sleep. which I guess is the closest thing to viability any social media platform can achieve.
anyway diogenes the cynic is also on bluesky

25 Essential Principles for Black Conduct and Empowerment: A Garveyite Perspective
From a Garveyite perspective, Black people must uphold a code of conduct rooted in self-determination, unity, discipline, and economic independence to reclaim sovereignty and build a powerful Black world. Marcus Garvey emphasized that the liberation of Black people requires not just awareness but action, structure, and collective responsibility. Without a solid foundation of principles to guide conduct, Black people remain vulnerable to external control, disunity, and stagnation.
This analysis outlines 25 essential principles that Black people must adhere to for collective empowerment, ensuring that every aspect of life—from personal discipline to political strategy—aligns with Black self-reliance and Pan-African unity.
1. Prioritize Black Unity Over Petty Divisions
Black people must reject tribalism, nationality-based elitism, and class divisions that prevent global solidarity. Whether African, African American, Caribbean, or Afro-Latino, all Black people share a common struggle and destiny.
2. Be Loyal to Black Institutions, Not External Systems
Economic, educational, and political systems designed by non-Black entities often do not serve Black interests. Black people must build, support, and defend their own institutions to ensure self-governance.
3. Maintain Economic Discipline and Group Economics
Black people must spend, circulate, and invest money within their own communities rather than enriching non-Black businesses that do not support Black liberation. Wealth must serve the collective, not just the individual.
4. Reject Begging and Dependency
Garveyism teaches that self-reliance is the key to sovereignty. Seeking validation, reparations without self-building, or constant dependency on non-Black systems keeps Black people weak. We must create solutions, not wait for handouts.
5. Strengthen the Black Family Unit
A strong Black nation starts with strong families. Fatherhood, motherhood, and communal responsibility must be honoured. The intentional breakdown of the Black family is a tool of oppression, and reversing it is a revolutionary act.
6. Guard Black Cultural Identity Fiercely
Black culture must be protected from dilution, appropriation, and distortion. The global media industry manipulates Black culture for profit while degrading its revolutionary potential. Black people must reclaim their spiritual, artistic, and historical identities.
7. Reject Hyper-Consumerism and Materialism
Black empowerment is not measured by luxury brands, flashy lifestyles, or European standards of success. True power comes from ownership, land, and industry—not consumer status.
8. Develop Financial Literacy and Generational Wealth
Black people must prioritize financial education, investments, land ownership, and cooperative economics over short-term spending habits. Financial discipline determines power.
9. Master Self-Defense and Security
Black communities must be physically and strategically protected. Knowledge of self-defense, martial arts, and security strategies is essential to prevent exploitation, gentrification, and violence against Black people.
10. Respect and Elevate Black Women
Black women have always been at the forefront of liberation struggles. They must be honoured, protected, and empowered, while rejecting both misogyny and feminism that devalues traditional African family structures.
11. Reject White Validation and Seek Black Excellence
Seeking approval from white institutions, corporations, or governments weakens self-worth. Excellence must be defined on Black terms, not Western standards.
12. Eliminate Self-Hatred and Colourism
Black people must dismantle anti-Black programming, including colourism, texturism, and Eurocentric beauty standards. Loving Blackness is a revolutionary act.
13. Be Politically Aware but Not Emotionally Manipulated
Black people must engage in politics with strategic awareness, rather than blind emotional allegiance to parties that do not serve Black interests. Power is taken, not asked for.
14. Prioritize African Spirituality and Indigenous Practices
African spiritual systems have been demonized and replaced with religious systems that pacify Black resistance. Black people must reclaim ancestral knowledge and reject systems that promote blind obedience over empowerment.
15. Train Black Youth for Leadership and Legacy
Black children must be educated in liberation philosophy, economic empowerment, and self-discipline from an early age. The next generation must be trained, not just inspired.
16. Reject Degenerative Media and Narratives
Music, television, and films that promote self-destruction, hypersexuality, and violence against Black people must be rejected. Media that elevates, educates, and empowers Black minds must be supported.
17. Demand Accountability from Leaders
Black leaders—whether political, religious, or social—must be held to strict ethical and strategic standards. Personality cults and blind allegiance lead to betrayal and stagnation.
18. Build Pan-African Alliances Instead of Isolating Movements
No single Black community or nation can thrive alone. Black people worldwide must work together to secure land, resources, and industries.
19. Promote Self-Discipline and Mental Strength
A weak and undisciplined mind is easily controlled. Black people must master self-discipline in thought, habits, and actions to create a powerful global presence.
20. Reclaim the Warrior Spirit of Our Ancestors
African history is filled with warriors, revolutionaries, and empires that resisted colonization and slavery. Black people must embrace the warrior spirit rather than glorifying passivity.
21. Master Technology and Control the Digital Space
The future is digital, and Black people must own, develop, and master technology rather than being just consumers. Controlling media, cybersecurity, and AI is critical for sovereignty.
22. Protect and Defend Black Land and Resources
Black communities and nations must protect their land, agriculture, water sources, and raw materials from foreign control. Land ownership equals power.
23. Reject Integration as the Ultimate Goal
Integration into white society is not liberation. The goal must be nation-building, sovereignty, and Black self-governance, not assimilation.
24. Reject Criminality and Sabotage from Within
Internal destruction—whether through gang violence, betrayal, or corruption—keeps Black people weak. Code of conduct, integrity, and accountability must be upheld.
25. Make Black Consciousness and Excellence the New Standard
Mediocrity, victimhood, and aimless entertainment must be replaced with a culture of Black excellence, Pan-Africanism, and mastery of knowledge and power.
Conclusion: The Path to Black Sovereignty Is Discipline, Strategy, and Unity
From a Garveyite perspective, the liberation of Black people is not a dream but a responsibility. Without a strict code of conduct, discipline, and self-determination, Black people will remain vulnerable to exploitation, division, and external control.
Marcus Garvey built the largest Black organization in history because he understood that power comes from order, strategy, and a clear set of guiding principles. These 25 rules serve as a modern framework for achieving Black sovereignty, economic independence, and Pan-African unity.
The question is: Will we have the discipline to follow them?

Being Sidney Crosby's Controversially Young Girlfriend
"Controversial" isn't quite the word he likes to use to describe our age difference. It's significant, sure, but he's never felt that it's been a major factor in your relationship. Sure, some people might raise an eyebrow at the fact that he's older and you're younger, but it hasn't really come up much.
That being said, there are a few quirks that come with your age difference. For one thing, you're in different stages of life. You just finished college and is starting out in the professional world, whereas he's well-established in his career and is thinking about retirement.
Another difference is your social lives. You've got a circle of friends who are in their early twenties and just starting to explore the world, whereas he's been there and done that. He's got friends his own age who have families and careers and responsibilities. It can be a bit of a culture shock at times, but it also adds an interesting dynamic to your relationship.
There are also practical differences. He's got a lot more life experience than you do, which can sometimes lead to a bit of a generational gap. He might recommend a restaurant that was the coolest place in town when he was your age, only to find that it's been replaced by a new hotspot that he'd never heard of.
Similarly, he might make a reference to a movie or a book that he watched or read when he was your age, only to find that you've never seen or heard of it.
But despite the differences, he still finds himself drawn to you. He loves your youthful energy, your adventurous spirit, and the way you see the world. Your age difference doesn't define your relationship, but it does add an extra layer of complexity and excitement.
Of course, there are also some benefits to having an older boyfriend. For one thing, he's typically more mature and stable, which can be refreshing. He's more likely to have a solid career and financial situation than someone your own age. He also has more life experience, so he tends to be more confident and stable. Plus, he's had more time to figure out what he wants in life and in a partner, which can be reassuring for you.
One of the biggest challenges of your age difference is the inevitable scrutiny from the public and the media. As a celebrity athlete, he's used to being under a microscope, but the fact that you're so much younger has brought an extra level of attention to your relationship. People are always speculating about how you met, what you see in each other, and whether or not your relationship is "appropriate."
It can be tough dealing with that kind of scrutiny, especially when it feels like your relationship is being judged based on superficial factors like age.
Another challenge is that you might find yourself facing different societal expectations and biases. For example, people might assume that he's in a position of power and has a lot of control over you because he's older and more established. They might also assume that you're with him for his fame and fortune, rather than for his personality and character.
Dates are an interesting challenge. He's been around the block and has been on plenty of dates before. He knows all the classic dating moves like taking you to a fancy restaurant or a romantic movie. But sometimes he feels like he's a little out of his depth when it comes to planning dates that you'll enjoy.
You're younger and have different interests and tastes, so he has to be more creative and thoughtful in his planning. Sometimes he tries to research the latest trends and what's popular among people your age, but other times he just goes with his gut instinct.
Affection is an area where your age difference really comes into play. He's used to showing affection in a physical way, like hugs and kisses and cuddling. But he knows that you're at a different stage of your life, and he wants to be respectful of your boundaries. He doesn't want to come on too strong or make you feel uncomfortable, so he treads carefully.
He shows affection in less obvious ways. He'll take the time to listen to you and really hear what you're saying. He'll give you little gifts or leave you notes with sweet messages. He'll hold your hand or wrap his arm around you when you're walking together. He'll make a point of doing small things to make your day better, like bringing you coffee in the morning or fixing you a snack when you're hungry. And when you're together, he'll constantly be touching you in some way: holding your hand, running his fingers through your hair, kissing your forehead, etc.
He's a natural leader and tends to take charge in most situations, so he often shows casual dominance without even realizing it. He might make decisions for you without asking, or he might order for you at a restaurant if you can't decide what to get. He'll also often take the lead in physical situations, like pulling you closer to him when you're sitting next to each other or grabbing your hand to guide you through a crowded room.
He'll also often use his body language to show dominance. He'll stand close to you when you're talking, or he'll lean in to whisper something in your ear. He might also put his arm around you in a possessive way or rest his hand on your thigh.
One of his favorite expressions of casual dominance is telling you what to wear. He'll suggest outfits for you to wear on dates or to parties, and he'll make comments about your appearance when you're getting ready. He'll tell you how good you look in something or how he prefers you in certain types of clothes.
He doesn't see himself as a sugar daddy, per se, but he does enjoy treating you to nice things and spoiling you with gifts and experiences. He likes to feel like he can provide for you and make you happy, and he's not afraid to spend money to do so.
He'll often take you shopping and encourage you to buy whatever you want, even if it's something expensive or extravagant. He'll also bring you to nice restaurants and book you for activities like spa days or concerts. He'll even use his connections to get you access to exclusive events or experiences that you wouldn't be able to get otherwise.
In the end, though, he knows that age is just a number. What really matters is the connection you share, that bond that transcends age and experience and all the other things that could otherwise divide you. And that's worth more than any arbitrary age difference.

Sun Overlays Through the Houses
1st House [ Self-Identity ]
Balanced: When someone’s Sun lands in your 1st house, it’s like having a spotlight on you 24/7. If this connection is healthy, it can feel empowering. You’ll get a massive ego boost because they’ll constantly remind you of your strengths, encouraging you to step into your power and embrace who you are. They see you, really see you, and it feels damn good to be acknowledged like that. You might even find yourself feeling more confident, motivated, and capable. It’s a shot of energy straight into your veins that propels you to show up as the best version of yourself.
Unbalanced: On the flip side, if this connection is out of whack, it’s going to feel like they’re shining a spotlight on everything you hate about yourself. They’ll have an almost suffocating presence, making you feel like you’re constantly being judged or, worse, like they’re trying to mold you into something you’re not. Every interaction becomes about their need to see themselves in you. It’s exhausting. You’ll either feel like you’re under constant scrutiny or like you’re being forced to live up to their vision of who you should be. It’s ego warfare, and you’re the one losing.
2nd House [ Values & Possessions ]
Balanced: When their Sun is in your 2nd house, they’ll illuminate your relationship with money, values, and self-worth. A good connection here can help you stabilize your finances and get clear on what truly matters to you. They might even come in clutch with financial advice or material support, helping you feel more secure in your foundation. You’ll probably feel more confident about what you bring to the table—both in relationships and in life. Their influence can elevate your sense of self-worth and push you to value yourself at a higher level.
Unbalanced: If this person’s energy is off, it can feel like they’re pushing their values, possessions, or even financial opinions onto you. You’ll feel like you can’t make a decision without their judgment hovering over you, and they’ll likely be critical of your money habits or lifestyle. This can lead to you second-guessing yourself, feeling like your way of managing resources or defining success isn’t “good enough.” Worse, they might use their material resources to manipulate or control you, dangling money or support like a carrot to keep you in line. It’s a toxic mess of power plays and control.
3rd House [ Communication & Learning ]
Balanced: Their Sun in your 3rd house can be like a match igniting your mind. You’ll find yourself engaging in stimulating conversations, learning new things, and sharing ideas like never before. This person will encourage you to express yourself openly, without holding back, and their intellectual curiosity will push you to broaden your own knowledge base. They might even open up networking opportunities or introduce you to new people who challenge you in the best ways. It’s an energizing connection that lights up your communication skills and gives you a mental edge.
Unbalanced: If things are off, though, their Sun in your 3rd house means they won’t shut up or, worse, they’ll dominate every conversation. You’ll constantly feel overshadowed, like your thoughts or ideas don’t matter, because they’ll be too busy lecturing you about their opinions. It’s suffocating. They’ll act like they have the intellectual high ground, and you’ll find yourself resenting every conversation because it turns into a competition for who’s smarter or more informed. You’ll leave interactions feeling small, unheard, and downright frustrated. They’ll crush your voice, and you’ll start questioning if you’re even worth listening to.
4th House [ Home & Family ]
Balanced: If their Sun is in your 4th house, they’ll bring warmth and attention to your home life. You might feel a sense of safety and emotional support from them, as if they understand the deeper, more personal aspects of who you are. This is the type of person you can build a solid foundation with, and they’ll make your home or family life feel more secure and stable. You’ll feel emotionally nourished by their presence, like they provide a soft place to land after a hard day. They shine a light on what makes you feel at home—both physically and emotionally.
Unbalanced: But if things go south, their Sun in your 4th house feels like an invasion of your personal space. They’ll start pushing their own ideas of what “home” and “family” should be, making you feel trapped in your own space. They might criticize your relationship with your family or try to impose their family dynamics onto you, as if their way is the only right way. You’ll feel like you have zero privacy, as if they’re constantly prying into your emotional world and overstepping boundaries. What should feel like comfort quickly turns into emotional smothering, and you’ll start dreading the very idea of “home” when they’re involved.
5th House [ Creativity & Pleasure ]
Balanced: When their Sun is in your 5th house, this is where the fun really starts. They bring creativity, joy, and excitement into your life. You’ll feel more inspired to pursue your passions, whether it’s a creative project, a romance, or something else that brings you pleasure. They make life more vibrant, and you’ll find yourself letting loose, having more fun, and exploring new ways to express yourself. It’s a highly playful, carefree energy that brings out the best in you when it comes to enjoying life’s pleasures.
Unbalanced: If this energy goes unchecked, though, they can quickly turn into a drama king or queen. Everything becomes about them—their creative projects, their fun, their joy—while you get pushed into the background. They might hog the spotlight, make everything about their own sense of entertainment, and leave you feeling like a supporting actor in your own damn life. The worst part is, they could stir up unnecessary drama just to keep things exciting for themselves. Their influence might make you feel exhausted, used, or even resentful because they’re sucking all the fun and creativity out of you.
6th House [ Work & Health ]
Balanced: This is where they push you to get your shit together. With their Sun in your 6th house, you’ll find yourself getting more organized, focused, and disciplined. They help you clean up your routines, whether that’s your daily work habits or how you take care of your health. You’ll likely feel motivated to make real improvements in your everyday life, and their influence will encourage you to adopt better habits that lead to long-term success. They’re like the personal trainer of your life, pushing you to be your best self without being overbearing.
Unbalanced: But if things aren’t balanced, this can feel like they’re constantly criticizing how you handle your life. They’ll start nitpicking your work ethic, your health routines, and your day-to-day responsibilities, making you feel like nothing you do is good enough. Instead of feeling motivated, you’ll feel micromanaged and stressed out. It’s like having someone breathe down your neck all the time, judging your every move. They might even come across as condescending, acting like they know how to manage your life better than you do. It’s irritating as hell, and you’ll probably start to resent their presence altogether.
7th House [ Partnerships & Marriage ]
Balanced: Their Sun in your 7th house is textbook for strong partnerships. You’ll feel like this person is the missing piece you’ve been searching for, someone who complements you perfectly and helps you grow in relationships. They encourage balance, fairness, and harmony, and you feel like you can truly be yourself with them. Whether it’s a romantic relationship, business partnership, or close friendship, they make you feel like a team, and their energy enhances your ability to connect with others on a deep, meaningful level.
Unbalanced: But if things go south, their Sun in your 7th house becomes a nightmare of codependency and control. They’ll start to dominate the relationship, making it all about their needs, desires, and ego. You’ll feel like you’re being overshadowed, and instead of feeling like an equal partner, you’ll start to feel like an accessory to their life. They might manipulate you emotionally, making you feel like you can’t exist without them or like you’re constantly in debt to their presence. It’s exhausting and can lead to serious issues with your sense of independence.
8th House [ Intimacy & Transformation ]
Balanced: When their Sun is in your 8th house, shit gets real. This person pushes you to face your fears, dive deep into intimacy, and confront parts of yourself you’d rather ignore. They ignite a powerful transformation within you, forcing you to evolve in ways you didn’t know were possible. The connection is intense, intimate, and deeply transformative. This is where you bond on a soul level, sharing your darkest truths and experiencing emotional, psychological, or even sexual breakthroughs. They help you tap into your power and face your own shadow.
Unbalanced: On the other hand, their presence can feel suffocating and way too intense if things aren’t balanced. They might push you to reveal more than you’re comfortable with or pry into your personal life in ways that feel invasive. You might feel like they’re trying to control you through emotional manipulation, using your vulnerabilities against you. Instead of a partnership built on trust, it becomes a power struggle that leaves you feeling exposed and vulnerable. You’ll start to dread the depth of the connection, wishing for some emotional space instead of drowning in their intensity.
9th House [ Philosophy & Higher Learning ]
Balanced: Their Sun in your 9th house is an invitation to explore the world. You’ll feel inspired to expand your horizons, whether that’s through travel, higher education, or philosophical discussions. They encourage you to question your beliefs and think bigger, pushing you out of your comfort zone and into a world of possibilities. It’s refreshing and stimulating, and you’ll find yourself growing in ways you never expected. Together, you might embark on adventures that reshape your understanding of life, encouraging a more open-minded and expansive outlook.
Unbalanced: If this connection is imbalanced, they might turn into a know-it-all, shoving their beliefs down your throat as if theirs is the only perspective that matters. Conversations can become exhausting lectures instead of stimulating discussions, and you’ll start feeling trapped in a dogma that doesn’t resonate with you. Instead of feeling encouraged to explore and learn, you’ll feel constrained and criticized for your beliefs. You might even begin to question your own worldview, feeling small or inferior to their “wisdom.” It’s like being dragged along on a journey that’s not yours, leading to resentment and frustration.
10th House [ Career & Public Life ]
Balanced: With their Sun in your 10th house, this person can give your career a major boost. You’ll feel inspired to pursue your ambitions and take on leadership roles, as they shine a light on your potential for success. They may support your goals in tangible ways—helping you network, providing advice, or even collaborating on projects. You’ll feel empowered to chase after your professional dreams, and their influence can open up significant opportunities for growth and recognition in your public life.
Unbalanced: But if their energy is off, this placement can quickly become a nightmare. They might overshadow you in your career, hogging the spotlight and making everything about their ambitions. You’ll feel like you’re living in their shadow, struggling to establish your own identity while they constantly demand attention. They could manipulate situations to make themselves look good at your expense, turning your achievements into their own accolades. It’s a power struggle, and instead of feeling empowered, you’ll be left feeling frustrated, overlooked, and resentful of their influence.
11th House [ Friendships & Aspirations ]
Balanced: Their Sun in your 11th house can bring a refreshing surge of energy to your social life and shared goals. This connection can feel like a breath of fresh air, encouraging you to engage with friends, network, and work toward common aspirations. They inspire you to pursue your hopes and dreams, making you feel like you can achieve anything together. Whether it’s collaborating on projects, getting involved in social causes, or just having a good time with friends, their presence amplifies your sense of community and belonging.
Unbalanced: However, if this relationship is off, they could turn into a self-centered friend who makes everything about them. You might feel like your own hopes and dreams take a backseat to their desires, leaving you feeling unappreciated and frustrated. Their need for attention can overshadow the group dynamic, turning friendships into competitions for who can be the loudest or most impressive. Instead of feeling supported, you’ll feel stifled, and your aspirations might seem trivial in comparison to their overblown ego.
12th House [ Spirituality & Subconscious ]
Balanced: When their Sun is in your 12th house, it’s a deeply spiritual and transformative connection. They shine a light on your subconscious, encouraging you to face your inner demons and embrace your spiritual journey. This person might help you explore hidden aspects of yourself, offering insights that lead to profound growth. It’s an intimate bond where you can explore the depths of your emotions, dreams, and spirituality together, creating a safe space for vulnerability and healing. You might even feel like they’re a guide helping you navigate your inner world.
Unbalanced: If things are out of balance, though, their energy can become overwhelming. They might drag you into their emotional chaos, forcing you to confront issues you’re not ready to face. Instead of providing comfort, they could exacerbate your anxieties and insecurities, leaving you feeling exposed and raw. You might feel like you’re constantly losing yourself in their drama, struggling to maintain your sense of identity. This connection can quickly feel suffocating, and instead of spiritual growth, you’ll end up feeling like you’re drowning in someone else’s issues.

note: this is a work of pure fiction, i am not insinuating any of the characters in the story would behave or speak this way at all. i do have more exciting plans for this so please hold on at least until part 2 for the romance to blossom. thx for reading :)
Masterlist

Turning off the main road, the sleek Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio slowed down to a crawl once it met the long gravely drive at the base of the hill. The driver cursed in Italian under his breath, complaining about potholes and new tires. Seated in the backseat, Seunghyun leaned forward slightly and rolled the window down. A light breeze wafted in the subtle scent of earth and unripened fig.
Lowering his RayBans just slightly, Seunghyun took in the expansive property they approached. A few ancient stone buildings sat on the top of the small hill, overlooking the rolling landscape of perfect, symmetrically lined grapevines, laid out as far as the eye could see.
One slope led down to a thicket of trees meandering along a small stream at the end of the property, and on the opposite side stood a newer looking building, presumably housing barrels of aging wine and production equipment.
Once the car eventually pulled up to the front of the largest of the older structures, a man in his early sixties walked out from under a pergola and spread his arms invitingly, dressed charmingly in khaki work pants, a light blue linen button up shirt and oversized straw hat.
Approaching the car door as Seunghyun opened it and began to stand, the older man spoke. “Buongiorno Tutti! Welcome, welcome!” Simultaneously, Seunghyun’s financial partner got out of the opposite side of the vehicle and quickly greeted their host before Seunghyun could speak.
“Giancarlo! Thank you for having us,” he said gregariously, extending his hand to the older gentleman before he was pulled into a hug, typical of Italian culture.
“Certo! My famiglia and I are so happy to have you come try our Barolo,” he spoke with an overexaggerated excitement. Finally shifting his attention to Seunghyun who had still remained quiet, he reached out to give him another overzealous welcoming embrace, causing the younger man to chuckle to himself.
“Yes, Jae and I are thrilled to be here,” he said with a thin lipped, though genuine, smile. Fully removing his sunglasses to tuck them into the collar of his black sweater, he leaned down to straight the pant legs of his charcoal grey slacks which fell just over the top of his newly acquired black Prada boots.
“Signori, please follow me to our tasting area! I asked my daughter to join us today and should be joining us soon,” Giancarlo explained with a soft chuckle, “Her English is much better than mine.”
Turning around on his heel, he began leading the two Korean gentlemen through the front courtyard before the house and down a small hedged pathway.
Two large wooden doors were swung open by the older man, propping them open on either side to allow the daylight and fresh air flow through the weather-worn building. Once inside, Seunghyun was instantly charmed by the original stone walls, tall arched doorways and rustic wooden beams. On the opposite end of the room stood another set of massive wooden doors, already propped open, leaving a breezeway through the space.
In the center of the large room stood a grand trestle style farmhouse table he would have guessed to have been over a century in age. Surrounding the table were 8 worn yet sturdy chairs, each knotted with their own unique pattern from the solid wood they were fabricated from. Hanging above the table was a large, cast iron chandelier, newly updated with electric bulbs in lieu of the original candles he was sure initially lit the space.
“Please, have a seat, get comfortable,” Giancarlo gestured to the two Korean men, wandering to a small kitchen area to fill a pitcher of water and four glasses. As he was coming back to approach the table, a low, excited bark was heard from outside the other entrance the men had not originally come through.
“Enzo!” You shouted, trying to get the black and white shepherd to spin his attention back towards you. “Enzo, vieni ora (come here now)!” The long haired dog merely tucked his ears back and ran right into the open doors of the tasting room, barking happily a few times at the sight of new visitors.
Jae sneered down at the excited dog as he approached, quickly moving his hands above the table so a stray lick couldn’t come his way. Seunghyun on the other hand smiled immediately when Enzo padded right up to him. Reaching out with both hands, he leaned down to the dog and muttered affectionate words in his foreign tongue at his new companion. Enzo’s tail began wagging furiously, nuzzling his head into the hands of the man.
Jogging into the room after the dog, you slowed down as you saw the guests and your father already seated at the long table. “I am so sorry,” you quickly apologized, walking closer to the group as you shifted your attention back to Enzo.
“Cattivo cane! Vieni qui, (bad dog, come here).” you said sternly, pointing at your feet. The shepherd merely turned his head to you, and then back at Seunghyun, sitting back down on his haunches in front of his new friend - blatantly ignoring you.
Seunghyun quickly spoke, still petting the dog who was now content in front of him. “No, it’s fine, I love dogs.” He shifted his gaze from Enzo up to your face, smiling warmly at you.
Laughing hesitantly, you took a deep breath as you straightened your posture to properly greet your guests. “I apologize for being late, I was speaking with one of the groundskeepers and lost track of time.” Stepping closer to Jae first, you outstretched your hand to shake his, “I am Y/n.”
“Nice to meet you, I am Jae and this is Seunghyun,” he said, gesturing to his business partner across from him. Rounding the end of the table, you approached him with your extended hand once again. “Seunghyun, it’s a pleasure.”
Immediately recognizing his hands would now be dirty and covered in dog hair, he looked around the table frantically for a napkin unsuccessfully. Not wanting to be rude, he wiped his large hands down the front of his slacks and stood out of his chair, extending his hand to yours. “Y/n, thank you for meeting with us,” he said softly with a short bow of his head.
“Of course, and I am sorry, let me get you a wet towel to clean your hands,” you exclaimed, taking a step over to the kitchen Walking back to him with the towel, you handed it to him before looking back down at Enzo who was now over brushing up against your father’s leg.
“Enzo, vai a letto (go to your bed),” you said lowly, pointing over to a plush dog bed over in the corner of the room. Reluctantly, he trotted off to his bed and laid down.
Walking to the far end of the table, you leaned down to kiss your father’s cheek gently, “Ciao Papa,” resting your hands on his shoulders as you stood back up.
“Ahhh, Patatina, can you please give the gentlemen a brief history of the property?” Giancarlo said, patting one of your hands before gesturing around the room.
“Of course,” you replied cheerfully, walking to one of the large countertops to grab a large photo album and worn leather dossier before sitting opposite your father.
“The photo album consists of chronological pictures showing the progression of our land and the buildings,” you said, placing the album down in the center of the table which Jae grabbed rather quickly.
“And in this folder are a collection of letters and papers we found written by my great-great grandfather about the property and the acquisitions throughout the years. Unfortunately they are all written in Italian,” you laughed softly, passing the dossier to Seunghyun to peruse, “but the letters are beautiful memories of our family legacy.”
Reaching for the pitcher of water, you filled each of the four glasses as you began.
“The land has been in our family since 1896, and my great-great-great grandfather produced his first bottle of Barolo in 1898. The wine wasn’t very good,” you admitted with a smirk, ”and the family took another 12 years before we bottled something we were proud enough to sell.”
Jae thumbed through the photo album, pausing every now and again at a photo that caught his eye.
“Over the years we tried different varietals such as Barbaresco, Alba, Langhe, and Dogliani but really tried to focus on the Barolo since it seemed to grow the best in the rich soil here in Piedmont.”
While you continued speaking, you pushed yourself up from the table and began selecting bottles from the floor to ceiling, wall to wall, rustic wine rack near the table.
“In 1956, we inherited a vineyard a little more than 5 kilometers from here and were able to expand our estate to twice its original size. In 1982 the fourth generation of our family produced the first Riserva Barolo with a DOCG label.”
Reaching for one of the bottles, you placed it down on the center of the table between the two Korean men. A small smile crept up the corner of your lips as you continued, “My grandfather said that this vintage was his favorite and that it was destined for the tables of lovers.”
At that statement, Seunghyun lifted his head from the letters he was perusing. Meeting your eyes, he couldn’t help but smirk at the sweet sentimentality. Looking away as your cheeks flushed a light pink, you turned back around to the wine rack.
“In 2015 we built a new cellar on the back of our property, you might’ve seen it on your drive in?” You questioned, looking over your shoulder when Jae replied, “ahh yes, on the southern slope, correct?”
“Si,” you nodded, “the new cellar provides a little more distance and privacy to the family home right next door to our tasting room, which is actually where my parents and nonna still live.”
Shifting his focus over to your father, Seunghyun spoke in almost questionable surprise. “You still live here on the property?”
“Si, certo!” Giancarlo exclaimed, leaning back in his chair proudly. “Mia famiglia has been making wine here for almost 130 years, and I hope future generations will continue to produce here long after I’m gone.”
At this, closing the photo album and pushing it across to Seunghyun for when he was ready, Jae smirked and looked over to you. “Do you have a family of your own already to help continue the lineage yet?”
With a laugh, you admitted, looking at your father who looked somewhat defeated. “No, not yet. But someday we shall see.” You said, pacifying him as you placed the last few bottles on the table.
“Papa, prendi gli bicchieri, per favore? (can you grab the glasses, please)” Giancarlo nodded his head, pushing himself up from the table to retrieve the glasses for the tasting.
“We have set aside two of our Riserva bottles for you to sample today, in addition to a younger Barolo, a Barbera d’Alba, the Langhe DOC Nebbiolo and the Moscato d’Asti should you like to try something on the sweeter side.”
Placing the documents back in the dossier and sliding them out of the way, Seunghyun sat up straighter to lean in and examine the bottles themselves. “You said one of these was your grandfather’s favorite?” He asked, raising a brow at you with a subtle, playful tone.
“Yes… it’s the 1982 Borgogno Barolo Riserva,” you replied, holding his eye contact momentarily. “I’d recommend beginning with the younger bottle first, then followed by the 1997 Figli Barolo Riserva.”
Giancarlo placed three glasses before each of the two men, himself, and you, giving you a moment to sit back down. Reaching for the 2021 Barolo, he pulled the wine key from his pocket and began to open the bottle.
“My father and I understand that you are looking to expand your wine label, is that correct?”
Jae spoke first, watching Giancarlo pour samples into one of the glasses in front of each of you. “Yes, Seunghyun and I started this brand in 2022 and have partnered with a fantastic vineyard in the Bordeaux region for our first 3 varietals.”
While Jae explained the current status of the brand, Seunghyun lifted the glass of Barolo and hovered his nose over the opening of the glass, inhaling the scent of the wine.
“So far we have a Bordeaux, a sparkling Brut and a Blanc, and we have received great reviews.”
“That’s excellent,” you nodded, listening to Jae speak but kept your eyes on Seunghyun and the focused attention he was showing for the product itself. He kept his focus on the glass, swirling the liquid in the bowl before he let it settle on the table in front of him, watching the legs streak down the glass.
Jae continued, “yes, our intent was to produce wine for the masses at an affordable rate. We’re proud to say our original 3 bottles are each less than 20 euro a piece, making it attainable for almost any consumer.”
Stopping Jae for the moment, you lifted your glass as your father took his seat again opposite you. “Shall we taste?”
“Please,” Seunghyun said quietly but authoritatively. Lifting his glass, he swirled the dark red liquid once more, and closed his eyes to take another second with the aroma. Finally, he tilted the wine into his mouth and let it linger on his palette.
Jae was much less ceremonious than Seunghyun, though he did attempt to smell the contents before drinking. You and your father exchanged a proud grin before sampling from your own glasses.
Seunghyun reached into the back pocket of his slacks and produced a small notebook and pen. Opening it to the next blank page, he quietly began taking notes. Not wanting to push him for anything, you shifted your attention back to Jae. “What is it you think you are looking for here in Italy?”
Downing the rest of his glass, not rudely but also not in an effort to savor it, Jae looked back to you as your father stood and began uncorking the next bottle.
“Well, we are hoping to find another vineyard to partner with. Italy has such a romantic history in general, and we have both always loved Italian wine.”
As Giancarlo filled his next glass, Seunghyun brought the bowl of his first glass back to his face, inhaling the scent once more before finishing the remnants inside.
“Ideally we’d like to work with just one vineyard that produces enough of a variety that we could partner on three different varietals, but we aren’t committed to any one idea at this time.” Jae said, and finishing whatever note he was writing, Seunghyun lifted his head to speak.
“I’ve recently started to enjoy Nebbiolos, but I know this region is famous for its Barolos. I did a fair amount of research before our trip and I loved the history of your vineyard. I also saw it’s highly rated amongst the DOCG labels.”
Giancarlo spoke, finishing pouring into your glass before taking his seat once more. “Si, this Riserva I just poured has won numerous awards amongst the agricultural community. Please, enjoy,” he invited, lifting his glass in mock cheers.
The next hour was spent discussing the soil, the west versus east facing grapevines and how planting seasonally, as well as directionally, was so important to the quality of the wine. Jae and your father held most of the conversation in broken English, Italian and Korean, but somehow were able to communicate well enough.
Seunghyun remained quiet most of the time, and you became fascinated with how methodical he was with the sampling, almost like he had it down to a true science. While the older two men continued to speak, you made an attempt to hear his opinions.
“Now that you’ve tried our three Barolos and the Nebbiolo, what do you think so far?” You asked him discreetly, genuinely curious about the notes he’d been scribbling.
Catching him slightly off guard as he’d primarily been in his head, he shifted his eyes to you with a small grin. “The Nebbiolo is intriguing…” he began, pausing in thought, “it’s complex and nuanced which I appreciate.” Swirling the tiny remainder left in his glass, he took the final sip of the Nebbiolo before he continued.
“Honestly, I can see why the 1982 Riserva was your grandfather’s favorite. It’s… romantic, but not abrasive. The mouthfeel was velvety, earthy…” he said softly, shifting his eyes from the table up to yours, “intimate almost.”
For a moment, you lost yourself in the way he was describing the wine. You’d grown up with it, savored the nuances for years, able to differentiate new flavors or experiences with it as your taste buds evolved with age, but you had never experienced it the way that Seunghyun just expressed.
“My grandfather would be proud to see someone enjoying it the way he did,” you said softly, leaning back in your chair.
“Should I open the Barbera, Patatina?” Giancarlo asked, glancing over to you during a break in conversation. Seunghyun lifted an eyebrow at the term of endearment your father muttered, and quietly cleared his throat to speak.
“Actually, would it be possible to walk around the property?” His gaze shifted to you, placing the empty glass down in front of him.
“But of course!” your father boomed, the legs of his chair loudly scraping along the stone floor below as he pushed it back from the table. Both of the other gentlemen got to their feet and took a moment to adjust their clothes.
“Papa, allow me. Why don’t you go help Nonna in the kitchen?”
“Ahhh, si! You gentlemen should join us for lunch this afternoon.” Giancarlo started, looking between the two of them.
Jae smiled politely and raised his hand to gesture that it was unnecessary. “Thank you, but we have plans today.”
“Bene bene, another time!” Giancarlo said, waiving over his shoulder as he disappeared through the front doors again, back down the path they arrived from.
Once you were on your feet, you started walking towards the large open wooden doors facing the grapevines and the remainder of the property. Turning over your shoulder, you whistled sharply and Enzo lifted his head from his doze, hopping up to join you on your walk.
Seunghyun followed closely behind you, removing his sunglasses from their spot hanging off his collar and slid them over his eyes as he stepped into the bright sunlight. Jae started to follow though his attention was now on the phone he was scrolling through.
Enzo took off once outside, meandering through the winding rows of grapevines, leaving you to walk beside Seunghyun leisurely. Clasping his hands together behind his back, he glanced over to you. “How many acres of land does your family own here?”
“Ahh, this particular vineyard is just over 5 acres, and the other property is roughly 3. Both smaller on their own but collectively it is fairly average for Piedmont. Most of our production is done at this location though, the other vineyard is primarily just for growing and research.”
“Research?” He asked, shifting his view across the sweeping landscape before them.
“Yes,” you nodded proudly. “I don’t typically spend much time here at this location as I’m busy with our team over there - they’re primarily studying vine nutrition and organic pest control. We want to keep our product as clean and sustainable as possible.”
Seunghyun nodded his head, pausing a moment to investigate one of the vines nearby. Reaching forward, his slender digits brushed over the tiniest group of unripened grapes, barely recognizable as fruit.
“This time of year we call Allegagione, or fruit set. It’s when the vines turn from the flowering stage to start producing grapes.” You explained over his shoulder, watching him study the flowering buds hanging before him, shadowing the growing clusters.
“Seunghyun!” Jae called, causing the taller man to stand up straight again. Seeing his partner with his phone up to his ear, he mumbled something to him in Korean which caused him to nod his head in understanding.
“I apologize, it looks like we need to cut our tour short today,” he murmured, glancing back to you. “We are staying in a villa about 10 kilometers from here and it seems Jae’s wife needs us back for something.”
“Oh, not a problem at all, I hope you at least enjoyed your time with us today,” you replied, a warm smile spreading over your face. “Oh, and please take a few bottles back to the villa with you! On our way out I will grab a few others we didn’t get a chance to sample today.”
“Thank you, that would be wonderful. Unless it would be easier for me to come back another time… tomorrow perhaps? I could have my manager bring us back over?” Seunghyun asked somewhat eagerly as the two of you turned to walk back towards the tasting room.
“Ahh, unfortunately I’ll be back in Alba working at il Consorzio.” You replied, bringing your hand to rake through your wavy curls, brushing them out of your face to thwart the light breeze.
“Il Consorzio…?” He repeated inquisitively.
“Yes, sorry, the Consortium. I work for il Consorzio di tutela Alba Langhe with several wine producers from our region.” You explained, feet scuffing through the dirt and stray grass growing below.
“Fascinating. That’s quite a long drive for you every day isn’t it?” Seunghyun had already assumed you lived nearby the vineyard, if not on site directly.
“No, I live near the central piazza in Alba. My walk to work is only about 10 minutes every morning.” You replied. “I come out here to assist my father when he has clients visit and do most of the digital marketing for him as well.”
Approaching the back door into the tasting room again, Seunghyun stopped to face you. “We have only been here for three days so far and I have yet to venture into Alba. Would it be rude of me to ask to visit you for a tour of the Consorzio?” His attempt at the Italian pronunciation caused a small giggle from you, though you shook your head.
“No, not rude at all. Why don’t you come meet me in la piazza principale (main square) near the fountain at ten tomorrow? We can stop for espresso on the way in and I can give you a short tour?”
“That would be wonderful,” Seunghyun grinned, glancing to Jae who was making his way around the building to the front area where their driver was waiting. “I should go catch up with him…” he motioned down the pathway.
“Oh! Yes, wait one moment please.” Turning on your heel, you quickly walked back into the tasting room and grabbed the three uncorked bottles from the center of the farmhouse table you were previously seated around. Walking back to the wall of wine racks, you perused for a moment before pulling out an additional bottle.
Once back in front of him, you offered him the four bottles with a smile. “I threw in another bottle of Barolo for you… it’s one of the younger vintages, but still robust in my opinion.”
Halfway mesmerized by the sparkle in your eye, he nodded appreciatively and took the bottles from you carefully. “Thank you… I’ll be sure to give you my notes in the morning,” he said with a smirk.
“Hopefully not on all four! Wine is meant to be savored, not chugged,” you teasingly scolded with a laugh.
Seunghyun’s grin widened. He couldn’t help but admire the lightness you exuded - warm, jovial, full of life. It was refreshing.
“Ten tomorrow morning?” He asked in an effort to confirm your proposed plans.
“Si, ten. I’ll see you then. Enjoy the rest of your day!” You smiled, waving to him as he began to walk away down the path Jae had disappeared from.

i promise, part 2 will get more interesting - had to set up some background stuff here. Thx for makin it this far!

Pairing: Coriolanus Snow x Fem!Academy!Reader
Warnings: Dub-Con, Seduction/Manipulation, Oral (female and male receiving), Handjob, Food Play (feeding each other/licking stuff off bodies, but its more of a seduction tactic), Finger Sucking, Ruined Orgasm, Slight Overstimulation, Slight Dacryphilia Kink, Reader is spoiled and delulu, Sub!Coriolanus
**Based off this irl porn post (takes you to Twitter/X).
Word Count: 10K
A/N: Literally just started the book today so Coriolanus is probs wayyyy out of character but . . . just go with it lol. I wanted him to be ✨subby✨
Summary: When you find out that the great Coriolanus Snow is not as financially well off as he makes himself out to be, you can't help but take advantage of his vulnerability.
Hunger is a weapon - every Capitol citizen knows this.
It’s the most useful piece of knowledge used when carving down an enemy. The people in the districts need to be taught fear, obedience for their devastating betrayal to the Capitol. If they thought they knew oppression before the First Rebellion . . . well, they just didn’t know how good they had it.
Things are back as they should be now. The Capitol stands at the top of the hierarchy, the districts fumbling below in their failure as they suffer their punishments and try to make amends in order to have the favor of those in charge.
Your family was lucky, surviving the war with minimal losses and maintaining your excessive wealth in the process. It’s a life of luxury for you - one of comfort and ease. You want for nothing, desire for nothing that you can’t have in a split second with a snap of your fingers or a hopeful, doe-eyed pout at your father.
Nothing, except one thing.
Him.
Coriolanus Snow.
He walks with such confidence, lean body moving gracefully and an air of arrogant smugness following him around as he vies for the Plinth Prize. He’s smart, very smart - top of the class at the Academy, and you can’t help but admit that you find his intelligence extremely attractive.
He’s beautiful, angelic blond curls always strategically fluffed, the perfect contrast to the Academy’s rouge uniforms. And sometimes, when he’s leaning down to scribble in his notebook during class, a few rogue curls will fall across his forehead and into those eyes - those eyes that sparkle despite his constant controlled and put together facade. You want those eyes on you. Want them to see you, follow you around as you walk the halls of the Academy, never leaving your visage as you sit prettily in class, back straight and legs crossed under your desk - your posture a solid reminder of your high stature within society.
You want them wet with tears, pupils blown wide as he stares up at you while you ride him, hard and fast as his mouth begs for mercy despite his pretty blue eyes begging for more.
You’re a prize, he’d be lucky to have you - and yet, whenever he looks your way, it’s with disdain.
You’re a fucking goddess, beauty unmatched. He should be falling at your feet just to get a second of your time. But no, instead he ignores you, never once looking your way other than when studiously listening to your response to a question asked during class before those blue eyes make their way back to the professor. They never linger, never once. And that realization makes your blood boil.
He’s smart, but you’re smart too - spite and bitterness reenergizing your academic drive. He wants the Plinth Prize and you want him. So you do the only thing that you can think of that will ensure his focus lands on you no matter what.
You go for the Plinth Prize too.
You’re on his ass in academics - every test and every project leading you closer and closer to over taking him for the win. His eyes can’t leave you now, always following you, narrowed and hateful as you smile smugly back at him. Sometimes you think you can see fear in them, like he can physically feel your sharp, manicured nails digging into the vulnerable balloon of his dreams and can hear the shallow hiss of escaping air through the punctures.
You hope he can feel your metaphorical breath on the back of his neck.
The mid semester review comes around and classes are canceled for the rest of the day as professors meet with their students to go over their academic standings. You walk into the building just minutes before your scheduled meeting time, bag slung over your shoulder and a dried fruit bar in your hand as you climb the stairs towards Professor Rosebloom’s office. Normally, you would be at least 15 minutes early, punctuality and proper time management drilled into you from a young age. However, Professor Rosebloom likes her schedules, the exact measurements of time, and plans out each class and meeting down to the minute. It’s useless to assume there’s any wiggle room for early arrivals or dismissals. It’s not beneficial - not when the door to her office won’t open again until the very moment it hits your scheduled appointment time. So you take your time climbing the stairs, taking a bite of your snack bar when you see him.
He’s leaning against one of the pillars in the middle of the hall, back pressed against the rounded edge as he bites into a cookie. He looks stressed, body rigid as he chews, the back of his hand coming up to wipe at his mouth after each bite. You smirk, eyes narrowed in glee as you stalk towards him like a predator sneaking up on her prey. His mind is elsewhere, completely unaware of you coming up next to him until his gaze falls to your shadow overtaking his own along the glossy floor.
He has only a second for his brain to register your presence before you speak, a smooth and sweet, “Coriolanus,” that nevertheless has him jumping in his spot against the pillar.
You watch as he fumbles the cookie in his hand, the half eaten treat falling to the ground, breaking into smaller pieces under the impact. His face is rather comical as he stares down at the ruined cookie, eyes wide and mouth agape, and you swear you see his hand twitch just the slightest bit as if he was going to pick it up off the dirty floor before he takes a deep breath and those piercing blue eyes cut to you.
“What?” He asks, voice sharp.
“Aw, sorry to make you drop your snack,” You say, feigning sympathy. “It looked yummy,”
His eyes fall shut for a moment, long eyelashes creating shadows along the top of his cheeks as he fights for composure. “It was,”
“You should have saved it for after your meeting,” You say, stepping closer to him, just far away enough to still be considered a proper amount of space, but close enough for him to have to tilt his head downwards to maintain eye contact. “As a condolence for when you hear that I’m the top student and a shoo-in for the Plinth Prize and not you.”
A low rumble bursts from his throat and he pushes off of the pillar to tower over you, glaring down at your shorter figure as he growls, “That’s not going to happen,”
His closeness makes your heart race, and you want nothing more than to drop the fruit bar from your hand and tangle your fingers into his fluffy hair. You’d do it too - would risk everything, the perfect image you’ve cultivated and the resulting embarrassment of seeming needy - if only you knew he would reciprocate. But he’s stubborn, you don’t know, and your pride gets in the way of any impulsive decision you might make, no matter how hot the desire burns through your veins.
Instead, you bring the snack bar up to your mouth, perfect white teeth sinking into the sticky bar as you keep your eyes locked on his. Your intense focus on him is the only reason you see how his eyes falter from yours, the furious fire in them dimming into a softer need as they fall to your mouth.
Your glossed lips pull into a smirk. Finally, finally, he’s getting the picture. You knew it was only a matter of time. He was a man after all, and men are weak when it comes to the wiles of women. It was bound to happen, no one with eyes or any sense of a brain would be able to resist you for too long - Coriolanus was just a slight exception.
But you’ve got him now, can see in his eyes how badly he wants you. His eyes are locked on your lips, following the movement as they press together and move as you chew. The bright light in the hall is probably glittering off of them right now, making them look even more plush and enticing as it glistens off the thin layer of gloss that coats them. He’s probably thinking about how much he wants to kiss them right now. Imagining them wrapped around his cock and how soft they would feel as you plant sweet and teasing kisses along his shaft before taking him completely into your warm mouth. He’s probably kicking himself, wondering how he could have been so stupid as to push you away for as long as he has when he could have had you all to himself this whole time.
All the time he’s wasted because of his pride and ego.
The hand holding the fruit bar lowers slightly, teasing words of victory on the tip of your tongue as you open your mouth to gloat about your obvious success and his pathetic loss as he succumbs to his own desire for you. But you freeze when his wanting gaze doesn’t stay on your lips like you expect. Instead, they fall with the snack bar, following the food source like a puppy waiting for its master to grace them with a treat, and your words die before they can make a sound.
The food? Seriously? He was looking at the food?!
As if on cue, his stomach growls. He snaps out of his daze at the sound, a hand shooting up to press against his belly as if trying to quiet the noise.
You stare at him incredulously, eyebrow arched in disbelief. “Hungry much?”
He scoffs. “I missed breakfast this morning and now you’ve made me drop my snack. So, yes. I’m hungry.”
His words come out confident - practiced and dismissive in the way they would lead someone to believe his verbal jab in a heartbeat. But you’re too close to him right now for it to have the same effect that it normally would. You’re too observant, too eagle-eyed when it comes to all things Coriolanus, and now you're kicking yourself for not noticing it sooner.
The way his eyes flash with a moment of panic before they roll in annoyance, feigned annoyance, because there’s still nervousness clear in those beautiful blue orbs. The way they can’t help but flick just for the quickest of seconds towards the bar still in your hand and your own snap down to the movement of his stomach as he sucks in his belly, an obvious attempt at trying to use the muscle movement to starve off another growl.
The buttons on his shirt aren’t completely round, you notice. They do a good job at pretending to be, but under further inspection you realize that some are more oval than round. A couple are even slightly jagged. They remind you of the tesserae tiles you’ve seen in the maid’s bathroom - nearly a perfect match. Your critical gaze follows the rest of the length of his body, looking for anything else that suddenly seems off about the only son of the great Crassus Snow. Years ago, your father had mentioned rumors that the Snow family might not be in the most opulent financial standing. You hadn’t believed him at the time, the Snow family had always seemed very well off whenever you would see them around the Capitol or at events. Coriolanus had never once let on that they were living in anything less than a life of luxury during all your shared time at the Academy.
And yet, when you reach his feet, it becomes an undeniable reality. There, on the feet of the boy who you’ve been lusting over for the better part of two years, is a pair of too tight and just this side of too worn shoes.
You’re just barely able to hold back your gasp at the realization. He’s always been thin, but you chalked that up to him just being tall and lanky. But this? This is so unexpected.
Coriolanus Snow is . . . impoverished? Penniless.
Needy.
The idea comes to mind before you can even think about it, eyes sliding back up to meet his as you take another slow and mocking bite of your fruit bar.
“What will you do?” You ask, tilting your head to the side in question, slowly chewing the sweet treat. “When I win the Plinth Prize,”
“You won’t,” He answers quickly, and the raw determination in his voice makes you grin.
You take another quick bite of your bar and offer a small shrug of your shoulder. “Why dont we be smart about this, Coriolanus? Put aside our teeth gritting rivalry in exchange for some good old fashioned, friendly competition.”
“What are you suggesting?” He asks, suspiciously.
“You can come to my home this weekend. We can study together. Make it a fair fight for our next exam,” And then, casual as ever, you add, “I’ll make sure we have lots of snacks at our disposal. Fuel for our brains, yes?”
Coriolanus pauses, clearly torn, and it’s unbelievable how someone who's always put on the face of confidence and self-assuredness can have their mask slip so carelessly so many times within a few minutes of interaction.
The door to Professor Rosebloom’s office opens and out comes a disgruntled looking Festus Creed. He glances at you and Coriolanus standing just feet away from the door, but surprisingly has nothing to say for once as he walks past and down the hall towards the grand staircase. Professor Rosebloom stands at the door, calling your name and gesturing inside her office with a sharp nod.
You look back at Coriolanus, a sickeningly sweet smile on your face as you walk backwards towards Professor Rosebloom. “Tomorrow, okay? See you then!”
The feeling of his eyes boring into you as you turn and disappear into Rosebloom’s office makes you feel unstoppable.
Coriolanus arrives at your house the next day around mid-morning.
He greets your parents respectfully, sharing a firm handshake with your father and nodding kindly at your mother, thanking them for allowing him into their home for the day and politely ignoring the looks of displeasure they both send him behind their masks of well-mannered hosts.
You guide him up the stairs to your bedroom and sit yourself on the bed, smirking when he stands awkwardly in the doorway, one hand gripping the strap of his messenger bag.
It’s so interesting to see him out in public, without the guise of an event or school trip to dictate what he wears. Today he dons a regular pair of pants, nice fitting around the waist and legs, but just a little too short around the ankles. You’re not sure if you would have noticed it had you not been looking. His sweater is a deep burgundy, thin lines of golden embroidery stitched around the collar and wrists to give an otherwise simple garment a taste of class. You don’t even want to look down at his shoes. If his nice dress shoes were looking tight and worn, you don’t want to see what his casual shoes look like.
It doesn’t matter anyway, everything he’s wearing is going to be on your floor in a little while anyway.
“Sit down, Coriolanus,” You instruct, pulling a book from your own bag and laying it out on the bed in front of you. “Don’t be shy.”
He takes a quick look behind him, checking to make sure your parents aren’t trying to spy from the hallway to catch them in the act of anything inappropriate despite this being a genuine study ‘date’ - at least on his part anyway. They won’t. Your father will be leaving for a lunch meeting in the city soon, and your mother will use the time to meet with her lover in one of the barely used guest bedrooms while he’s away.
Coriolanus clears his throat before walking over to the bed, sitting tall on the edge, one of his legs bent at the knee to twist himself to face you while the other leg hangs off the side.
“We should start with the top three points that we think are the most important of each chapter,” he says. He pulls his book and a small notebook out of his bag before placing it on the ground next to the bed and out of the way. “And then we can discuss and expand on each point together.”
“Sounds good,” You nod. “Let’s begin.”
Studying has never been difficult for you. You find yourself blessed with a remarkable brain and an even more determined sense of spite that makes remembering factual information simple. Thoughts of Coriolanus often plague your mind during your study sessions. He is, after all, the reason why you study so hard in the first place. But when the thoughts get too much, thoughts of kissing those plush lips of his, whispering dirty things in his ear and having him moan filth back to you - wanting to thread your fingers into his golden hair and push his head down so it fits between your thighs where it belongs . . . A power break, you call it. A moment of respite from studying in order to take power over your overflowing desire for the only man who’s been able to resist your temptations so far. Your hand would find its way inside your pants or underneath your dress, fingers dipping into your drenched hole and rubbing furiously at your clit imagining it was his until the pent up release sets you free and you're able to focus on your work again.
But with him actually being here, here in front of you, it’s a bit more difficult. Your pen stopped writing a while ago, eyes locked on the way his lashes flutter against his cheeks with each blink as he focuses on his notes. He bites his lip sometimes, teeth pressing into the plump flesh before he seems to catch himself and releases it, leaving behind twin red marks in the skin that you wish were imprints of your teeth instead of his. Your eyes travel down further to his throat, wanting to taste the smooth skin there under your tongue, and you can feel how wet you are already in your panties.
After about an hour, a maid enters the room with a tray of snacks. She’s right on time, entering through your doorway at the exact moment you had instructed her to, but you're so worked up from Coriolanus just existing a couple feet away from you on your own bed, that you glare at her like you want to bite her head off.
She doesn’t waste time, even more so when she sees your expression. The maid deposits the tray of food on the bed between the two of you and places a bottle of wine with two glasses on your side table before hurrying out of the room.
Coriolanus looks up from his notebook the second the food is placed in front of him, eyes immediately locking onto the tray. It’s obvious how badly he wants to go for it, but he holds himself back.
“Looks yummy, right?” You say, slyly, nodding to the small assortment of bread, cheeses, jams, and fruit. “Great brain food,”
He nods, throwing in an indifferent shrug as he responds, “Yes, it’s—it’s fine.”
You grab the wine bottle from beside you, uncorking the bottle with practiced efforts. “I also asked for some tastier things too,” You say, gesturing to the wine and the small bowls of chocolate sauce and whipped cream also adorning the tray. “A little reward to us for all of our hard work this semester.”
It’s funny watching him just sit there, struggling to appear calm and collected in the presence of such delicious foods. What do poor people even eat anyway? Maybe nothing. Maybe he survives on water and the lunches the school provides. What a shame, he’s too pretty to suffer. But if he is going to suffer, you're excited that you at least get to reap the benefits.
You pour two hefty glasses of wine, handing one to Coriolanus and bringing the other one between you, signaling for a toast. “To study dates and good food.”
The corner of his mouth quirks up in an aborted smile, and, to be honest, you’re not sure if he means it or not, but nevertheless he clicks his glass against yours anyway. “To study dates and good food.”
You watch his face from behind your glass as he brings his own to his lips. His eyes flutter shut at the first taste of wine against his tongue, and you wonder how often, if ever, he’s had the experience before to make him make such a euphoric face. He licks his lips, catching the stray drops of wine on his upper lip before he clears his throat.
“It’s nice,” He comments, nonchalantly. “Sweeter than the wine I’m used to.”
“Oh, yeah?” You grin, swirling your wine gently in the glass. The wine aerates under your nose as you breathe in the sweeter notes of its smell. “The Snows prefer the taste of drier wines, huh?”
“Yes, we do,”
He cuts the conversation short, looking back down at the plate of food. He still has his pen in his hand, the other hand occupied by the glass of wine, so you take the opportunity to put the next step of your plan in motion.
“Keep writing,” You say, waving at his pen. You place your wine glass back on the side table and grab a small slice of bread from the tray. “You’re on a roll. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of this.”
He clears his throat again, pressing the pen to the paper, but he can’t write anything. His eyes are glued to where you're prepping his snack, spreading a thick layer of creamy cheese on the bread before topping it with a few swipes of spiced jam. You want to laugh at how his mouth practically waters for it, lips parted in want and his pupils are unusually large against the bright blue canvas of his irises.
“There we go,” You coo, holding up the savory treat between you both. “Open up, Coryo. The jam on top is to die for.”
You watch in glee as he opens his mouth, letting you bring the bread to his lips before he bites down on it. It’s quiet, too quiet, but the room is quiet too - so no matter how concealed he tries to hide his small moan of pleasure, you hear it anyway. And the sound shoots right to your dripping cunt.
You feed him another bite, and then another, and you’re a little shocked that he’s even letting you feed him at all without protest or a show of pride, but you don’t complain. There’s a small smudge of jam smeared at the corner of his mouth. His pretty blue orbs never leave yours as you slowly trace along the sticky corner with your thumb, gathering up the bits of jam and popping it in your mouth letting out a small moan of your own at the taste.
“So good,” You say again. He gulps, trying to hide his nervousness behind another long sip of wine. “You know what else is really good? This chocolate sauce,”
Your middle finger dips into the chocolate bowl, chocolate coating your finger as you pull it out, the excess dripping back into the bowl. You pop your finger into your mouth, humming at the rich taste as it soaks into your tastebuds. Coriolanus’s eyes follow your movements, still dark in want but also colored with confusion. Poor baby, you think. If you were a better person, you would feel guilty about manipulating him so badly.
But you’re not, and the bitch inside you roars in delight at how well you have him exactly where you want him.
“Hmm, so good,” You whisper, slowly dragging your now clean finger back and forth along your bottom lip. “It’s William Dean, the best chocolate connoisseur in all of Panem. His chocolates are the best luxury, I’m sure you know, but I always prefer the chocolate sauce to the chocolates themselves.”
Your finger finds its way back into the chocolate before hovering it in front of Coriolanus’s slightly parted lips. “Don’t you wanna try it?”
There’s hesitation on his face, eyes flickering with uncharacteristic uncertainty from yours to your dessert covered finger and back again as he thinks. In the end, the want wins out, and he opens his mouth more to let you slip your finger inside. The inside of his mouth is warm and wet, the strong muscle of his tongue licking along your finger as he sucks off every single bit of chocolate offered on it. His tongue vibrates under your finger as he moans, louder this time than the last, eyes fluttering shut at the taste. You wonder if it’s just from the taste of the chocolate or from the combined taste of your skin and spit too.
“Delicious, right?” You ask, slowly pulling your finger from between his plush lips.
When his eyes open again, his pupils are blown wide - only a thin band of blue around the edges - and you can’t help but smirk at yourself in their reflection.
He nods, as if dazed, letting out a low “mhm” in agreement.
“Here,” You grab a strawberry off the tray and coat it with the melty chocolate just like your finger. “Try it with this.”
He doesn’t even hesitate as you bring it up to his mouth, lips parting as his teeth bite into the red fruit. You almost can’t believe how blissed out he looks, just from a few bites of food. His chewing is slow, like it’s purposeful - dedicated to savoring every second as he enjoys what he never gets to have, eyes hazy with an almost far away look to them.
Poor Coriolanus Snow, how the mighty have fallen.
You quickly bite the other half, barely registering the sweetness of the fruit mixed with the richness of the chocolate before tossing the green leafy top back onto the tray. Instead, the visual of him licking the leftover chocolate left on his lips from the bite into the fruit sears into your brain.
“It’s probably the best you’ve ever tasted, huh?” The dig comes out without your permission, but it doesn’t matter because while normally his clever and quick mind would have had you scrambling for a response to whatever his snappy comeback would have been, he doesn’t seem to catch on to your implication.
He’s too drunk right now. Too drunk on the few sips of wine and small bites of food he’s had. Too drunk on savoring everything, desperate in the way his gaze drops back down to the small feast in front of him.
“Hey,” You call, bringing his attention back to your face. He looks like a puppy waiting for his next command. “Are you going to thank me for being such a gracious host?”
“Thank you,” He whispers.
“No, Coryo,” You say, a wicked grin pulling at your lips. “Thank me,”
Your previous dig might have gone over his head, but the unspoken demand doesn’t. Hazy blue meets your own hooded ones, a breathless moment between the two of you as your words sink in, and then he’s leaning forward - soft, pouty mouth pressing against yours gently.
Victory burns through your veins like fire. The urge to scream like a madwoman, the sound feeling stuck at the back of your throat, urging you to let it out just so you can relieve some of this overwhelming excitement that runs through you. But no, you have to be calm about this. Strategic. Don’t fuck this up, you remind yourself. Don’t scare him off.
But your hands itch to bury themselves in his hair, wanting to grip the golden strands between your fingers and tug hard enough to make him whine against your mouth. His lips feel like heaven against yours, the soft press of his bottom lip fitting between yours before he pulls back, breathing into your space for a moment, before coming back in for another kiss without you even having to tell him.
His lips move against yours with an intoxicating combination of shyness and want. He’s still gentle, way too gentle for your liking - you didn’t wait to have him for this long for him to be soft about it. You want the roughness, the passion, the desperation where he wants you so much that he can’t bear to not have his hands on you for even a second. But there’s also power in the shyness, in the nervousness that you have erupting from every pore of his body.
When he pulls back again, you don’t hesitate to move your lips to his cheek, kissing across the cool, smooth skin. His hand has long since dropped the pen by now, now choosing to fist into the lush fabric of your very expensive sheets while the other somehow still holds onto his half filled wine glass. His breathing is starting to get shaky - unsteady shallow breaths puffing out next to your ear as your lips trace the line of his jaw.
Without even having to look, you grab another strawberry, dipping it into the chocolate and bringing it to where your mouth is pressing hot, open mouth kisses to Coriolanus’s jaw.
He jumps at the first touch of the tip of the fruit against his neck, a confused grunt escaping his lips as he mutters a quiet, “What are you doing?” But he doesn’t move away, doesn’t pull back from the way your lips nibble at the sensitive spot behind his ear.
You drag the fruit down the long column of his neck, leaving a line of tempting chocolate in its wake as you whisper a soothing, “Just relax, Coryo. I’m eating,”
Your tongue finds the bottom of the trail, pressing flat and wet against his neck as you lick away the chocolate in one long seductive lick. You're quick to repeat the process, dragging the fruit down the column of his throat, a delicious line of sweetness you can devour while tasting the distinct flavor of him underneath it. His head tips back to allow you access to the trail of chocolate on his throat, and you reward his cooperation by holding the fruit above his upturned face so he can sink his teeth into it while you sink your teeth into him.
His throat bobs underneath your lips when he swallows.
The whipped cream still sits untouched in the bowl, and your neck still stays untouched with Coriolanus’s kisses. So you grab his chin, dragging his face back down to yours once again.
“You hungry, baby?” You ask, your eyes locked on his. “You wanna eat, too?”
“Yeah,” He breathes, nodding frantically against your grip. “I’m starving.”
Whipped cream sticks thickly to the spoon as you pull it out of the small bowl. The white substance sticks to your skin as you drag it down along your neck, your body heat melting some of it directly upon contact and small streaks of white drip down to your collarbone. The spoon isn’t even moved away yet when he leans forward, pink tongue laving eagerly against your skin as he licks up the cream.
His tongue is so soft, wet and hot against your neck, warm breath fanning across the wet skin as his tongue follows the scattered drippings down lower. You're quick to add more whipped cream to your body, smearing it lower across your chest and over the swell of your breast peeking out from the top of your dress. The feel of his mouth on your breast makes your jaw drop, breathy sighs falling from your lips as you watch him lick the cream off your chest. His pink lips look beautiful on the round swell, thick lashes brushing the tops of his cheeks as he latches onto the top to suck gently, still trying to get every last taste of cream onto his greedy tastebuds.
Gripping his chin again, you pull him back up to your face, capturing his lips in a hungry kiss. He groans when your tongue pushes through into his mouth, sliding against his as you suck the taste of the whipped cream off his tongue. His hands come up to hold your face, one hand cradling your cheek while the other hand, still holding the glass of wine, reaches up to touch your jaw and helps to tilt your face up to his.
Your fingers grab the thin straps of your dress, pulling them down over your shoulders and freeing your breasts from the cups. You hate to drag your lips from his, teeth digging into his plump bottom lip and pulling as you pull back, grinning at the groan it rips from him in return. You grab the glass from his hand, arching your back slightly to puff out your chest more as you spill a little of the wine over it. Coriolanus groans at the sight of the red drink running down your chest, cascading over your breasts and dripping down further to soak into the material of your dress.
“F-fuck,” he whimpers, and immediately takes the hint, large hands gripping your waist to hold you still.
His pink tongue draws along your chest, cleaning the spillage from your skin as he nibbles along your breast. His plush lips wrap around your nipple, tonguing the hard bud with the tip of his tongue before sucking gently.
“Good boy,” You coo. You’re trying for a taunting tone, but the words come out more gritted than you would have liked as you feel your panties completely soak through. “Clean it all up for me,”
His pretty eyes look up at you as he sucks, dark with desire as he stares up at you through his lashes. He pops off your nipple with a wet sound, tongue dragging across the swell of your breast as he makes his way to the other one. When he’s done, your chest and tits are wet with his saliva instead of the sticky wine, and you shiver when his warm breath fans over the damp skin.
You lean back against the bed, holding the wine glass straight up as you lie down flat. His hands stay on your waist, seemingly unable to loosen their grip on your sides as he follows you down. He leans over over you, watching with wide eyes as you hike the bottom of your dress up so that it bunches up below your bust and out of the way. Your beautiful body is now on full display for him - soft, smooth, and well fed as his gaze feasts on the bounty now in front of him. His eyes lock onto your white lace panties, now practically translucent with how wet they are, but you steal his attention back with a quick call of his name.
With his eyes now back on yours, you tilt the glass over you, pouring the wine into the divet of your belly button and letting it pool there. Some of the liquid spills over, tickling your skin as it runs out along your belly and sides. Immediately, his head is at your belly, catching some straying droplets before they can soak into your sheets before his lips suction over your belly button, licking into it and sucking out the sweet drink from its makeshift cup.
Your fingers thread into his soft hair, locking into his fluffy curls, and when there’s no more wine to drink on your body, you push his head down further. His breathing is quick and excited as he allows you to push him down to your core, little pants of hot air hitting the drenched fabric of your panties as he peers up at you.
“Please,” He breathes, and you can’t help the smirk that pulls at your lips from the sight of him between your thighs.
“Go ahead and eat your meal, Coryo,” You say, leaning up on your elbow to watch him better. Your other hand casually keeps the still occupied wine glass upright and out of danger. “If you’re good, I’ll let you eat plenty more.”
He’s a good boy, you always knew he would be. Despite his air of confidence and ego he tries to emit daily at the Academy, you’re good at seeing through people’s disguises. Coriolanus is soft - a lost boy trying to find a place among the vicious sharks of Capitol people.
Ready to follow your every command in hopes you deem him worthy enough to throw scraps to.
He licks over the lacy material of your panties, and you can’t help the deep shiver that wracks through your body at the tease. His nose presses against the lace, the tip brushing over where your clit sits beneath it before he hooks a finger under the material and pulls it to the side.
His tongue feels like silk against your drenched folds, the wet muscle flattening against your slit as it slides up the length of your pussy. His hands grip your thighs, using the leverage on them to keep you still as he circles your puffy clit. You briefly consider telling him to put his hands behind his back, just to add to the image of him serving you - being your ‘good boy’ - but the vision of him between your thighs, face finally pressed against your cunt where it always belonged, has you momentarily thrown for a loop.
He looks so pretty down there, blond curls messy where you had your hand in them. You’ve waited so long for this moment. Dreamed about how good he would look between your legs, disheveled and wanting as he begged you to let him eat you out. Begs you to grace him with the privilege of fucking you. And now here it is. The moment you’ve worked so hard for.
And the payoff is gorgeous.
His eyes are half hooded in pleasure, mouth licking and sucking greedily at your juices, moaning into your pussy like he was retasting the wine for the first time again. His moan vibrates through your entire body from where his lips are wrapped around your clit, more wetness leaking out of your soaking hole at the pathetic sound.
You wonder what you taste like to him. Probably like honey.
The sweetest kind he’s ever tasted.
“Do I taste good?” You ask, breathlessly. Coriolanus ignores you, seeming to not even hear you as he shakes his face against your puffy pussy, too intoxicated on your scent and taste for your words to penetrate through the fog clouding his mind. You grin, speaking louder to catch his attention. “Snow, eyes on me,”
Immediately, those baby blue eyes are focused on you and your breath catches in your throat in excitement. That’s right, gorgeous. Keep your eyes on me.
“I asked if I taste good,” You repeat.
Coriolanus nods, mouth never letting up on the suction around your clit as he hums out a little “mhm”. You squirm a bit, switching arms so your weight is being kept up by the elbow of the arm cradling the wine glass while your now free hand reaches out to nudge at his head to urge him down further.
“Put your tongue in,” You demand, fingers gripping his curls again as you shove him down. “Fuck me with your tongue.”
His eyes flutter as he follows your instructions, ever the diligent student, and your mouth falls open at the feel of the tip of his tongue teasing your entrance before it pushes inside, spearing you open around the thick, wet muscle.
“Yes,” You moan, fingers leaving his curls to rub frantic circles around your pulsing clit. “Fuck me faster, Coryo,”
His fingers dig into the plush skin of your thighs, fingertips sure to leave bruises as he desperately pulls you closer, tongue digging as deep as it can into your depths as you clench around it. The coil in your belly tightens, pleasure ripping through you as you bite back the loud cry wanting to burst from your throat as the coil snaps and you cum on Coriolanus’s face, squeezing tightly around his tongue.
You huff for breath, fingers still greedily rubbing at the sensitive nub trying to soak up every last shock of bliss from your orgasm, even as Coriolanus pulls his tongue from your insides, panting. His face is drenched in your juices - debauched and dirty because of you, and the sight alone makes you want to lock your fingers in his golden hair again and pull him back in for round two.
You sit up, listening to the desire to dig your hand into his hair, but instead of dragging him down again, you drag him up, pressing a kiss to the corner of his mouth before licking up the side of his face, tasting yourself on his skin as you clean him up. He’s still breathing hard when you get to his lips again, and your eyes meet his as you press small teasing kisses to his frowning lips.
He’s confused, you can see it in his eyes. Can see the gears in his brain trying to make sense of what just happened and how he’s ended up in the position that he’s in. He’s thinking too much. Coriolanus Snow - always thinking himself stupid. And you're clearly not doing your job right if he’s still able to think after a session with you.
“Hey,” You murmur against his lips. Your hand frees his hair, trailing down his chest and stomach before gently cupping the prominent bulge in his pants. A shocked puff of breath exhales harshly against your lips. “Just go with it.”
“Are you trying to distract me?” He asks, lips brushing against yours with each word. “Keep me from studying so you can with the prize money for yourself?”
“Oh, honey,” You giggle. “We studied plenty today, didn’t we? And besides,” Nimble fingers slide up the smooth line of Coriolanus’s throat, curling around his jaw as you kneel up, angling his face up towards you as you gaze down at him. “You won’t forget a single thing you learned today after I’ve finished with you.”
Your fingers dig into his jaw as you press another head spinning kiss to his lips, completely obsessed with the way they mold against yours, soft and yielding against your demanding mouth. When you pull back, it’s with a wild heat in your eyes that you can see reflected in his own.
“Lie back,”
You watch in muted glee as he does, lying back flat against the sheets even as he scoots back further towards the center of the bed. Your legs move with him, following him back as you crawl over his sprawled out body, taking a small sip of wine as you settle on his hips. His cock pulses in its confines against you, pressed tightly against your soaked panties as you slowly rock your hips along the thick bulge. Pretty moans threaten to escape his lips, only muffled by sheer willpower to not open his mouth to let the sounds out to their fullest potential. His golden curls are unkempt, fanned out against your silk sheets like a halo, and you can’t help but think he looks like an angel like this.
An angel you can’t wait to ruin.
“Hold this for me, won’t you?” You say, pressing the wine glass into his hand. He grabs it as if on autopilot, holding it up prettily with the stem between his middle and ring finger, like a proper gentleman.
Impatient hands paw at his burgundy sweater, bunching the material up as far up as you can get it to reveal his long, skinny torso. Immediately, your mouth is on his skin, lips brushing lightly over his side, soft enough to tickle as they brush over the all too prominent ribs. You look up at Coriolanus, meeting his baby blues as he watches you kiss each individual bump along his side. His eyebrows are furrowed, lips parted as if wanting to say something, and you can only imagine the nonsense that could come out. He has to know that you know something’s up - normal, well-fed young adults don’t clearly have emaciated bodies like this. You have to admit, he’s done an admirable job at keeping the Snow family misfortune under the radar, but you’re not about to let his pride and ego get in the way of you and your prize.
“It’s learning by association, right?” You say, cutting him off before he can form his excuse. You lick a long stripe across his belly, his very flat belly - warm breath fanning across the wet path as you pull back to speak again. “We’re in the classroom, right? And you’re stumped on a question. So you’ll look over the balcony and down one row to the left, where I sit, and see me sitting there all pretty and hard at work,”
Coriolanus lets out a shuttering sigh when you scoot further down his body, pressing another gentle kiss just to the right of his belly button. “You’ll stare at my glossed up lips, all shiny and tempting in the light, imagining them pressed against yours,” Another kiss to the opposite side. “And you’ll remember the date the Treaty of Treason was signed into effect.”
“F-fuck,” Coriolanus whines as you hold his hips, using your grip to keep him steady as you trail your kisses lower and lower towards the waistband of his pants. His cheeks are so flushed, red flaming at the pale skin even as he drags his hand over his face. He’s trying to hide - how adorable.
“You’ll remember the various ecological disasters that brought about the creation of Panem everytime you think about my tits,” You continue, nibbling along his jutting hip bone. You draw a playful heart on his skin with the tip of your tongue. “About how soft and perfect they are,”
Your eyes drop down to the bulge straining in his pants, the dark material only made darker by the wet spot on them made from your own juices.
“The five major economic benefits to a split District-Capitol government will pop into your mind whenever you think about how I tasted on your tongue,” Coriolanus moans desperately when you lick across his clothed erection, hips jerking despite your hold.
Excitement fills your chest as you work the front of his pants open, quick fingers easing the zipper down over the thick bulge and working his gorgeous, gorgeous, oh so gorgeous cock free from its prison. You’ve waited a long time for this moment, and your greedy eyes don’t let it go to waste.
His cock is every bit as magnificent as you knew it would be. It stands tall and hard, thick with the head already coated with precum as it springs out and slaps against his belly. He’s going to fill you up so good, fill you up until you’re so full you think you might just burst from it. You want it. You want it so badly that you almost hate that you’re going to make yourself wait for it.
His bottom lip is caught between his teeth, body just barely trembling enough with nerves that you're able to see it through your own distraction. Your fingers sneak their way towards him, loving the way both Coriolanus and his cock twitch at the feel of your fingers wrapping around the heated length.
“And when you need to remember which US states combined to make up the districts,” You breath, head lowering down, your breath fanning across his weeping tip. “Just think of my mouth sucking on your pretty cock.”
The sound he makes when your lips wrap around the head of his cock makes you want to laugh. It’s pathetic, a high-pitched gasp that rips from his throat as his back arches against the bed. But the taste of his precum coating your taste buds as you suckle on the reddened tip has you distracted. He tastes so good, so much better than you think is fair. He already invades your thoughts and dreams with his too pretty face and better-than-you attitude - he doesn't need to taste as good as he does on top of everything now that you’ve finally got him.
There’s a moment when you consider reaching over to grab a spoonful of the whipped cream still sitting on the now forgotten tray. The food isn’t for you, it’s a means to an end - but there’s a part of you that can’t help but want to see what it looks like smeared against Coriolanus’s cock. You can picture it in your mind already, the flushed tip just barely hidden under the dollop of cream, the heated skin melting the topping just enough for it to start dripping down the sides of his cock before you can lick it all up.
You don’t do it, not willing to part with the much tastier treat you’ve won. Your mouth stays happily in its place as you work your way further down his length, humming as his cock slides across your tongue and brushes the back of your throat. The sounds trying to erupt from him make you suck harder, sucking in your cheeks as you bob your head, tongue laving across the underside of his cock with each up and down motion, greedy to get its fill. His hand clasps over his mouth, eyes squeezing shut as he tries to muffle his moans of pleasure. A pang of irritation zips through you at the thought that even as he’s giving into you - giving you what you’ve always wanted - he’s still being a stubborn asshole and keeping you from fully enjoying your success.
Those sounds are yours. They belong to you. You deserve to hear each and every adorably pathetic whine and gasp that creeps its way up his throat.
You’ve earned them.
He’s trying, he really is, but even his palm can’t keep his tortured groan quiet when you press down just a little too deep, nose aiming for that soft patch of golden curls at the base of his cock but not quite making it there as your throat spasms around him - choking and gagging around the thick length as you use it to bully your own airway.
Thick strands of saliva connect your mouth to his cock even as you pull off. Your hand strokes to make up for your missing mouth as you lean up, only pausing to press a couple of teasing kisses to the underside of the swollen head as you go.
“Open your eyes,” You demand, waiting for him to comply before slowly teasing the tip of your tongue along the slit on the top, just to watch his eyelashes flutter as his pretty eyes roll back. The sight makes you grin, the smug pull of your lips present even as you sit up, hips straddling his thighs as you perch yourself up.
Your nipples are so hard, pebbled and begging for his attention. You wish he could read your mind right now, so he would know to reach out and grab at them - squeeze your breasts in his large hands, message them and play with the tightened buds between his clever fingers. You wish he would pull on them, twist them enough to make you gasp and arch your back, and you’d reward him with tightening your grip on his cock, wrist twisting your palm around his tip in mimic of his own action.
He doesn’t, of course, hand still clamped over his mouth like it is. Still muffling those pretty, clit-throbbing sounds that belong to you.
Your right hand slides around his cock, using the copious amounts of saliva you left behind as a lube, spreading the wetness around his pulsing length and getting it nice and slick. His wet cock glistens in the overhead light of your bedroom, and, honestly - you never thought a cock could look so beautiful. Your other hand reaches out to grab Coriolanus’s wrist, yanking his hand away from his mouth so you can hear his sounds, undisturbed, as you jerk him off.
“Stop that,” You hiss when he tries to pull his wrist from your grip. “Don’t hide them. Wanna hear you. Wanna hear how good I’m making you feel.”
“Ah-hmm,” he moans, wrist ripping from your grip. But he listens, and rather than going back to cover his mouth, his fingers twist into the silk sheets instead, bunching them up in his fist as he watches you with wild eyes.
“Yeah, there we go,” You coo, fist stroking over his hot flesh as you work him faster. There’s a pearl of precum beading up on the tip of his cock, more pushing out the tighter you squeeze each time your fist gets to the top. Wet, slick sounds fill the room in time with your strokes, his pleasured moans cutting through the wet noises like a lewd symphony. “So much better, right?”
His thighs shake underneath you, hips stuttering and trying to buck up into your hold but the prison of your body weight on his thighs keep them pinned down. His moans turn into helpless blabbering - a endless string of ‘oh fuck, y/n, please, fuck, fuck–’.
The sound of him moaning your name sends a new gush of wetness into your already soaked panties. Your neglected clit aches for you to rub it, to grind the swollen nub on his thigh for relief - you think another wet spot on the dark trousers would look perfect.
You double down on your stroking instead, your other hand curling around his hip to keep it pressed against the mattress as your hand speeds up on his cock. Every time the wetness making him slick starts to dry up, you add more, leaning down just a bit to let another long line of saliva fall from your wet lips and onto the red flushed tip of his cock.
He’s so loud. The visual of you spitting on his cock is just way too much for his poor, inexperienced self to handle. The sounds coming out of his mouth are pure filth - hot and stomach clenching as you grin in satisfaction. It makes sense, you think. He’s loud and confident at the Academy, boisterous in his achievements as he speaks with a fake humility. It makes sense that he would be loud in the bedroom, unable to keep his voice down as he moans and whines like a slut.
“So loud, baby,” You tease. The hand gripping his hip finds the forgotten food tray, two fingers dipping into the almost empty chocolate sauce bowl. “You’re distracting me. Shh,”
Your fingers press into his open mouth, his lips automatically closing around your digits with a whimper. He sucks the chocolate off of your fingers like a good boy, eyes wide and wet making him look like he’s on the verge of tears. You want it. Want that push that’s going to make those pretty eyes spill out waterfalls over his flaming cheeks.
Just a little more.
Your hand moves faster on his cock, fist focusing cruelty on the top half of his shaft, palm twisting over the sensitive head with each stroke. The fingers in his mouth push back further and he gags, body jolting from the gag even as he moans around them again. The remaining wine in the glass sloshes from his jolt, but the crystal stays clasped between his fingers.
And there they are: twin trails running from his red rimmed eyes. You coo at him while the overwhelmed tears become victims to gravity. Instead of trailing down his cheeks like in the image in your head, one trails across his temple and soaks into his hairline while the other pools up along the side of his nose - and your empty, aching hole clenches tightly around nothing at the sight.
His cock throbs in your hand, hot and heavy as it twitches in the tight cage of your fingers, pretty red tip coated in a mixture of precum and spit disappearing and reappearing with each quick stroke of your fist. Fuck, you want it inside you so badly, want to feel him stretching you out. You’d make him cum within two seconds of being inside you, your pussy is just that magical. So warm and tight and perfect that men just can’t control themselves when they get inside of you - or so you’ve experienced with the other Academy boys who you’ve deemed worthy enough (although just barely) to have their moment with you. Poor pretty boy Coriolanus wouldn’t stand a chance. Frankly you’re shocked he’s even lasted as long as he has. You thought he might shoot his load in his pants while eating you out, although you’re glad he didn’t or this current playtime would have been unfortunately halted.
He’s so close, just a hair away from falling apart in front of your eyes. And you’re so hungry - so hungry for him.
The whines are muffled around your invading fingers, but theyre a constant now, no time wasted between them as he babbles around your fingers. The words come out garbled, but they sound a lot like ‘I’m gonna cum, please, please, fuck’. So you giggle, light and airy as you breathe, “Go ahead, baby. Cum for me,”
You don’t want to stop touching him. It’s addicting, making him moan and cry for you with just a few practiced strokes from your hand. You’d never stop if it was up to you. But your hand stops stroking his cock the second his eyes roll back into his head, just keeping a firm grip on the base to keep it still even as his body shakes. His cock twitches for a second, reddened head glistening before the first spurts of his release shoot out of the tip. They travel far, dirtying his stomach and splattering the smooth pale skin with white, some even making it as high up as his ribs, just barely missing the burgundy of his sweater. He cries around your fingers and you're sure the lack of stimulation is absolutely killing him. But he made you wait. He made you stress and work hard and put in effort just to get him. He needs to be punished for his crimes against your ego and libido.
He’s so pretty though, so so fucking gorgeous it makes you sick, and your willpower has just about been all used up. You stroke up his twitching length again, working him through the tail end of his orgasm, fist tightening and twisting at the top to milk out any lingering cum from the swollen tip. He’s still whimpering when you pull your fingers from his mouth, those same wet fingers moving to steal the glass from his hand, your eyes locking onto his as you finish the rest of the sweet drink in one last long victorious gulp.
Both of his hands find their way to you as his orgasm comes to an end, clutching at your thighs as the pleasure subsides but your movements don’t. He tries to push your hand away with a tortured groan, the stimulation becoming too much too quickly, but you easily slap it away. He’s weak, poor pathetic baby is too weak to make you stop - bones like jelly and brain still malfunctioning, no doubt. So you take advantage of all he’s worth even as you remove the circle of your fingers from around his cock and switch to palming the oversensitive flesh where it sits against his stomach.
“Ha- fuck, y/n, s-stop p-please,”
Your hand finally leaves his cock, choosing instead to wrap gently around his throat. Stop, he says? No. There’s no stopping now that you finally have him.
“You want me to back off the Plinth Prize, Coryo?” You rasp. “You’re gonna have to earn it,”

Mars in Houses of Groom Persona Chart
[Mars in a groom's persona chart represents his energy, drive, passion, and assertiveness. It tells how he pursues a goal, handles a fight, and expresses his physical desires. In the context of a marriage, Mars lights up a person's approach towards intimacy, protective instincts, and leading the relationship.
Mars's house placement in the chart of the groom shows where the energy goes and what in life ignites the flame, thereby directly influencing the dynamics between him and his spouse.]
(PS: For Entertainment Purpose Only. Have Fun💚)

1st House
The groom is dynamic, confident, and action-oriented. He approaches marriage with all the enthusiasm and drive of his star sign, often adopting a leading role. A partner will look up to his boldness, yet his assertiveness may come across as dominance or impatience at times. The challenge is something he revels in, and his spouse needs to have the same zest for life. Proud, protective, and passionate, his fire may sometimes get him into conflict. He will balance it with a relationship that gives lots of importance to open communications and mutual respect. This placement indeed suggests a physically very active groom who loves to undertake adventurous pursuits with his partner.
2nd House
Mars here indicates that the groom invests energy in financial security and material possessions. He is driven to achieve stability for the family and works to acquire wealth. He shows his love in relationships through acts of providing and giving material support. He might become possessive or too materialistic, which may lead to tension. The partner should encourage him to balance his ambitions with emotional connecting. This placement promises a marriage that is based on shared goals, especially financial goals. Together, they can build a solid foundation for their future.
3rd House
The groom is quick-witted and a lively communicator. He wants a marriage with intellectual stimulation where he and his partner frequently engage in debates and discussions. With his dynamic mind and strong way of communicating, he is an exciting companion to converse with. In addition, his directness may hurt his partner's feelings at times. His ideal spouse would be someone who enjoys his wit and is able to match his intellectual energy. This placement also suggests that he may excel in solving problems or taking decisive action in family matters. His relationship thrives when both partners are open to learning and growing together.
4th House
This placement indicates a groom who is deeply protective of his family and home. He channels his energy into creating a secure and comfortable domestic environment. While he is passionate about his role as a husband and father, his intensity might sometimes lead to controlling behavior at home. His partner should help him channel his energy into constructive activities, such as home improvement or family projects. This placement suggests that his family life will undergo transformations, often driven by his determination to overcome challenges. For him, marriage is a partnership, based on shared values and emotional security.

5th House
Mars in the 5th house indicates a groom who is passionate, romantic, and highly demonstrative of his affection in a very grand style. He lives for excitement and looks for a partner to share this zest for life and creativity. His marriage will be an adventure-packed, spontaneous, and somewhat dramatic institution. While this too makes him passionate, it perhaps could also make him sometimes impatient or impulsive at the same time. An ideal spouse would be encouraging his creativity and supporting self-expression. Together, with so much joy and shared interest in life, they'd find their relationship a blessing to live.
6th House
The groom works assiduously, enforces discipline, and does pay much attention to self-perfection. He gets into marriage out of a feeling of responsibility and commitment in making it work through practical efforts. He wants an organized, smooth relationship with fairness on both sides. In such a case, perfection can lead to frustration or critical words. The spouse would need to remind him not to forget to lighten up and enjoy the emotional part of the marriage. This placement does bring a health-conscious groom who will encourage his partner in living a balanced life. Together, they can build a strong and efficient partnership.
7th House
Mars in the 7th house is indicative of a passionate and forceful groom in relationships. He would be attracted to a strong, independent partner who will challenge him to grow together. It will be an active marriage, where both partners are dynamically engaged in shaping their common goals. He is deeply committed but can also be assertive, which may cause him to engage in power games. His ideal spouse balances his energy with patience and understanding. This placement indicates a marriage that is truly equal in every respect, with each partner playing an important role in the development of a healthy and alive relationship.
8th House
This sign is deeply emotional and physically intense in his relationships. He is looking for someone of equal depth that would not be afraid to engage him on the deeper aspects of marriage. He does require trust and, importantly, some vulnerability, as he thrives on honesty and openness. His passion could also become overwhelming at times and maybe possessive; he would need a partner to express himself openly enough that no misunderstanding occurs. This placement may indeed often reveal a groom deeply intuitive and spiritually attuned with one's spouse. Together, they can build a transcendent and fulfilling relationship.
9th House
Mars here indicates the adventure-loving groom who needs a spouse sharing his love for adventure and learning. He appreciates intellectual and cultural growth in his marriage and shares discussion on philosophy or spirituality with his spouse. His ideal partner encourages his adventurous spirit and supports his quest for knowledge. While his enthusiasm is contagious, his impatience or restlessness might at times pose some challenges. This placement indicates that his marriage will involve travel, education, or spiritual growth, with both partners often drawing closer through shared experiences.
10th House
The groom is very ambitious and directs his energy toward professional success. He wants a partner who will support his career goals and share his vision for the future. To him, marriage is a partnership where both partners work toward mutual achievements. As much as he is a committed and goal-oriented spouse, his focus on work may at times create some distance in his personal life. His ideal partner is someone who helps him balance his professional ambitions with emotional intimacy. This placement often suggests that his marriage will influence his public image and contribute to his career success.

11th House
Mars in the 11th house is a groom passionate about social causes and community involvement. He values friendships and shared ideals in his marriage and seeks a partner who supports his vision for the future. While he thrives in collaborative relationships, his strong opinions might sometimes create conflicts. His wife should encourage positive talks and help him channel his dynamism into something meaningful and purposeful. This placing does indicate that the groom's marriage will influence their social circle and mutual purposes. Together, they do collaborative work for their people or inspire change.
12th House
The Groom is introspective in nature and channels his power into the inner world of energies. He looks for a partner who appreciates his depth and helps him navigate his emotions. For him, marriage is like a spiritual journey that tends to bring up the buried fears or desires to the surface. Though he is so empathetic and intuitive, sometimes he might struggle to show his feelings frankly. His ideal spouse would provide a safe space for vulnerability and encourage self-discovery. This placement does often reveal a karmic marriage connection, where the central lessons of forgiveness, trust, and transformation are at stake.

how do we know in the books that john is indigenous? can you say more about how his indigeneity is important to his story?
hello! so there is a word of god post on race (doesn't mention John but mentions that Gideon is "mixed Maori"), BUT I frankly don't think word of god statements are worth any weight without actual in-text support (see: the "dumbledore is gay" situation). SO!
Specific evidence that John Gaius is Maori, as revealed in Nona the Ninth:
When he is listing his education, John mentions having gone to Dilworth School (John 20:8). Dilworth is an all boys boarding school in Auckland and accepts students based on financial need instead of academic or sporting achievements. Demographics appear to be about 70% low income Maori boys, indicating that it is highly likely that John is Maori
John reports that P- said he looked like a "Maori-TV pink panther" (John 15:23) when his eyes turned gold. Maori TV is a TV station that is focused primarily on Maori culture & language revitalization, with presumably all or mostly Maori hosts, and tbh I don't see why P- would say this unless John was himself Maori
John uses a te reo Māori phrase ("kia kaha, kia māia") (John 5:20) when he is saying goodbye to the corpses in the cryo lab before the power is shut off. Though it is possible he said this as a non-Maori kiwi, but in combination with the previous two points of evidence I think this all very strongly points to him being Maori
He also renames his daughter Kiriona Gaia, "Kiriona" being just literally the name "Gideon" in te reo Māori
TLT is not a series that hands you anything on a silver platter but to ME this is all pretty solid proof
Why is this relevant to The Locked Tomb?
In Nona the Ninth, we learn that before he completed apotheosis and ate the solar system, John was basically trying to save the earth from capitalism-caused climate change. Climate justice and the rights of indigenous people over their own land are deeply tied together, in the same way that climate catastrophe and capitalism/ imperialism/ colonialism are linked. disclaimer that this is NOT my area of study and others have definitely said it better; this is just the basic gist as I understand it, but on quick search I found some sources here and here if you want to do some reading.
TLT is not a series that hands you anything on a silver platter, but i don't think it is a stretch to see John as an indigenous man trying to save the earth and getting ignored and shut down at every turn by primarily western colonial powers (PanEuro, the USA) who declare him a terrorist and then as a reader thematically connecting that to the experience of indigenous climate activists IRL
there are absolutely TLT meta posts that have discussed this before me; tumblr search is nonfunctional and I have been looking for an hour and a half and cannot find anything specific even though i KNOW i reblogged multiple posts about this in the first few weeks following NTN's release. sad & I am sorry
I think that by the time the books take place, John is 10k years removed from the cultural context he grew up in, with the Nine Houses having become a genocidal colonial power in their own right (with more parallels to be made between John's forever war for the resources of literal life energy and like, oil wars), but I also think that John Gaius is a fictional character who can represent and symbolize multiple different things in service of telling a story. (not to mention the potential thematic parallels being made to how oppressed people sometimes are pressed into replicating the power dynamics of their oppressors and continuing the cycle--now that is a tumblr post i KNOW i read last year and definitely cannot find right now, once again sad & I am sorry)
How Radical Was John Gaius, Really is a forum thread that was locked by the moderators after 234534645674564 pages of heated debate
#john gaius#nona the ninth#the locked tomb#tlt meta#i need to fix my tagging system fr#john meta#tlt thoughts#trb.txt#if anyone wants to add anything or correct anything PLS do so!!! i did my best hope this helps anon. this took me 2 hours
