I have been wanting to draw something for Howl's Moving Castle for ages and the tinies definitely won't be the last thing you'll see from me haha

I have a lot of love especially for the books, which is why I decided to go with Sophie's book accurate hair.

Hauros colorpalette of Hairstyles

I think pretty much everyone knows Hauro's (Howl's) Moving Castle and everyone will have noticed that Hauro changes his hairstyle quite often. This happens because he changes his hair using potions to better hide himself and create new identities. I have summarized all the hairstyles for you, how and why they came about. ~*~ The blonde bob with a layered cut.

Hauro is most often seen with this hairstyle. He wears this hairstyle, along with a pink and blue checkered coat, when he first meets Sophie and saves her from the soldiers. When Sophie moves in with them as an old woman, he also has this appearance. After that, he was never seen with that hairstyle and coat again. The blonde bob with cutted pony

After Sophie moved in with them as an old woman and they wanted to eat breakfast together at the table, Hauro discovered the curse of the witch from Neverland, which she had passed on to Sophie. This curse caused Sophie to turn into an old woman and she could not talk about the curse or what caused it. After Hauro discovered the curse, he left the dinner table early to take a bath. After taking the bath, he left the house with the same hairdo. Except his bangs had just been cut off. He also wore a coat with more muted colors and therefore appeared very elegant and less playful.

After Hauro flew out to assess the effects of the war, he returned to the castle. However, when he transformed from a bird back into a human, the straight pony was gone. The orange bathroom accident

After breakfast, Sopie starts to get everything in shape. She almost kills Cafizer and manages to change Hauro's magic tear so that THIS comes out. Of course, the vain magician is anything but pleased. The "Spirits of Darkness" hair style

Because Hauro suffered from his orange hair color, because he no longer looked beautiful, he called the spirits of darkness. His hair turns black and his body becomes quite slimy. So Sophie puts him in the bathroom, where Markl then takes care of him. Later you see Hauro lying in his bed. His hair is completely black and the bob with the French cut is back. Only this time in black instead of blonde. He doesn´t wear a coat anymore.

The change in his hair color is very easy to see. Back to his Naturals

We see Hauro's blue hair when he sent Sophie to the king's castle. He faced his master and rescued Sophie and the witch of Neverland. Later you see him again with this hairstyle in a walking castle when he wants to change it for his little family. His bangs are now short and straight, his hair is dark blue, shorter than usual, with a straight-cut bob.

He also wore this hair style as a child. That's why it will probably be his original hairstyle.

The house is finished and Hauro shows Sophie around and shows her a new place he added to the door. It is noticeable that his hair looks a little shorter and therefore rounder. He also tucked his hair behind his ear. ~*~

i have grown very attached to the design of older OCs, but especially with Shargon i always ran into trouble bc it never matched his demon form, this is a first attempt at getting both more in line while leaning more into a bird/dragon idea ...?

i think ill put the red more and lower on his hips-legs so its a bit more uniform but i dont hate this one? id miss his fluffy pink(ish) hair he used to have but i never got it to work well with this demon form (current idea of that small in the bg)

hes lost and regained his feathers over the years of his design changes and maybe now they might be truly back xD

Inside Out 2 has smashed box office records, overtaking Frozen 2 to be the highest grossing animated film of all time. The character design is firmly at the centre of the film's appeal, especially the new depiction of Anxiety, which has been added because the film's main character (Riley) has reached her teenage years. Though anxiety looks perfect to me (that hair, mouth and stance just sums the uncomfortable emotion up so well), according to a fascinating video the design was almost very different.

According to director Kelsey Mann, it took a long time to reach the final character design – and the above clip shows his own concept drawings that portrays Anxiety as "reptilian" in nature. This approach would have seen Anxiety growing over time to become "almost Godzilla-esque" as Riley got more anxious. "And then," he says, in "my epilogue version, when [Riley] realises how to manage it, it actually shrinks down to the proper size, and is super cute."

I made my major debut, sold quite well, and did moderately well (right?).

your totk rewritten is pretty cool, its got a lot of nifty ideas! i really like the possibility of an ending where ganondorf gets a proper burial, esp considering, you know. the Situations hes been through (-> a whole conspiracy to kill him, being sealed in a way thats designed to keep him barely alive possibly for the rest of eternity, being used as a living battery to power a gazillion things al at once for thousands of years) (this last part is also really nice, showing the sheikah as still shady af but also why it was so easy for their technology to get corrupted since it came straight from the power source in a way)

i want to write a more coherent version of it sometime soon where i summarize a lil more and split it up in clear parts (like basic plot, surface, underground etc)

my main goal is to bring it all full circle really, the zonau acting as an inspiration for the shiekah (them not being 100% perfect good guys too like you said), the thing with repeating history bc you blindly follow its warning (like how botw happened with trying to replay the first calamity and it backfiring, so did the zonau follow the warnings of old and thus caused what they wanted to prevent), it building more on the shiekah tech in itself and giving a good reason to why so much of it turned useless, and while i love ganondorf as he is i personally like the idea of him while maybe not having been 100% good either (bc who is really) that him being mistreated like that lead to him becoming irrevocably hateful and angry and you having to stop him although you know he has every right to be that way

like this totk rewritten project is less of a complete AU and more meant like a reshuffle, except for the time travel (actually that might be turned into a travel to ganondorfs memories where you get to run around in .. maybe at the end of the halfway battle- sorry getting ahead of myself nfkdnhdjk) all pieces are still there, but put together a little differently

Have been reading Lockwood & Co. Loved it.

Before I go and watch the series I poorly tried to sketch my images of Lockwood and Lucy. Which I apparently haven't done for ages...

Lockwood reminds me of Howl / Hauro (from the ghibli - studio movie Howl's moving castle) with strands of hair falling on his forehead and penchant for taking risks.

Lucy I see as a kind of light punk. Wearing black skirts and leggings with her boots. To me she has black hair and bangs and also some piercings. Maybe a Abby-Sciuto-style (with less make up).

Godzilla and Godzilla, King of The Monsters

Have you ever watched a classic Japanese film and thought "This could really use some white men, why aren't there any? They should be poorly clipped into random aspects of the original film re-arranged". Consider the value that Humphrey Bogart might added to Rashomon or Charlie Chaplin to Tokyo Story.

While these additions would be wildly inappropriate at the very least these are respected actors whose acclaim is well deserved. There are a litany of things wrong with the American localization of Godzilla, worst among them though is the lead character of Steve Martin, played by Raymond Burr. While watching the film I thought to myself "Why does he read nearly everything he says out loud like he's a 1950s detective?" and after a simple google search I learned that one of his most iconic roles was as half and half detective and defense lawyer Perry Mason. He was insufferable.

While I could continue to castigate the acting there are oversights in King of the Monsters of which addressing is of higher importance. Not only is most of the charm lost in the ways in which the film is randomly re-cut and the droning monologues of Steve Martin but a majority of the Japanese characters present are entirely untranslated. As a result we're not able to understand them.

I know I've said that each laceration upon the corpse of Godzilla by King of The Monsters was the worst but this is arguably the most abhorrent. For reasons that should be obvious any references to the possible dangers of misusing science and the destruction and terror which are its byproduct such as weapons of mass destruction are entirely absent from the film. One of the most compelling scenes in fact, Dr. Yamane's ending monologue, are entirely removed with only Steve Martin reflecting on Serizawa's bravery.

I hated this film. I really did. It's funny to me to think that this might have been one of the few Japanese films either of my grandparents had ever seen. For further insight into how I felt about Godzilla, King of the Monsters here's a comparison of the notes from when I watched the original Godzilla and it's later localization.
